Chapter Text

Izuku Midoriya was like most kids of his generation, curious, hopeful, excited. To be fair not only is that the stupor of being young but how could they help it with heroes like All Might to look up to, with quirks each and every year becoming more and more advanced. Now most kids also get their quirk around 4-5 years of age, this is unfortunately where Izuku’s likeness with most of his generation differs, his birthday went and 4 months later finally came the day of the trip to the doctors. Thus, came the downfall of his dream, he wasn’t going to become a hero, no matter what he does. However, that wasn’t the worst thing that happened that day.

 

He was added to the quirkless registry. It held many identities, just like the specific 124 other 4–5-year-olds, which wanted maybe even needed to become heroes, who also a questionable homelife whether that’s anywhere from being in an orphanage to let’s say a single parent household, who also held most or in rare cases all of the genetic markers. Why is all of this recorded in a quirkless registry? Short answer, HPSC. Long Answer someone started a branch (off the records bear in mind) called Section 3 within the most corrupt and shady law enforcement agency in Japan.

 

So, what happens when you are an incredibly shady organisation, have near enough blank cheque of tax payer money, a population which no one cares about, incredibly smart scientists which lack a moral compass. Oh, and a massive quirk problem which results in massively powerful quirks which sometimes heroes aren’t enough? Indoctrinated genetically-enhanced super-soldiers who believe they’re heroes. How many? Now that’s the biggest question at first it is a ridiculously simple question, one they already had the answer to, 125 candidates. The plan? Kidnap, train, genetically enhance and then finally point the weapon and pull the trigger.


Operation Requisition – S-096 ‘Izuku’

Just like the 95 which came before the operation went smoothly. Capture team set off at 2:00 arrived at 2:36, deployed a thick gas into the apartment building to ensure that everyone would be unconscious, after waiting for it to be distributed the capture team donned their gas masks and moved their way into the apartment. They got to the door and stacked up on the door, leaving enough room for another one of their agents to get to the lock and use their quirk, finger morph, to quickly push the pins of the lock. The team started to clear the apartment room by room using various hand signals to manoeuvre with cohesion.

With the all might plaque with Izuku’s name on it, needless to say, it wasn’t hard to find him. One man scooped up the unconscious body of Izuku whilst another laid down a flash clone of the boy, for those uninitiated a flash clone is a near perfect replica of someone, however, the clone has a timer, no matter how perfect the scientists got the genome, it would fail, at some point anyway, Izuku Midoriya would die in around 6 months time to the perspective general populace due to some underlying heart conditions.

 

With Izuku now in the truck he was then transported to the facility time was 4:12, thanks to the sleeping gas and being well wanting to sleep safe to say he was still out of it, as the truck pulled back into an offloading bay of the facility, the capture team put the limb body of the brand-new subject onto the gurney.


Izuku woke up, a florescent light blinding him, letting out grunt, he looked around the room in confusion, not a single piece of All Might, yep definitely not his room. Not a single piece of obvious medical equipment, yep not the doctors.

“Huh, where am I?”

Izuku flung his legs off his bed, flinging the sheets off from him. He looked over towards the only door in the room.

‘Why doesn’t the door have a handle, am I in a cell?’

He then looked towards the mirror finally noticing what he was wearing

‘And the day keeps getting weirder, what is this onesie made out of? Also why does it say 096 on it?’

He then looks towards the panel next to the door

‘How did I not see that? The door may not have a handle but it does have a large display with an open button to the right of it’

Izuku walks over towards the Panel and presses on the display, the button turns red.

“Uhh could’ve sworn open meant open but I guess not”

He turned around and started inspecting his room, there wasn’t much around, inset wall storage, a desk, mirror and an inset bed. He then heard a hiss coming from the door.

“Sierra Zero Nine Six?” Someone questioned from the door behind him

“My name's Iz-” Izuku Responded, turning towards the unknown person, setting his eyes upon an old lady with light blue eyes and with blonde greying hair.

“Your name is Zero Nine Six. Mine is Doctor Shield, this is my facility and my project.” Interjected Doctor Shield

“Then I suppose you're going to tell me why I’m here?”

The Doctor placed a hand on Izuku's shoulder and congratulated “Well Zero Nine Six, we’re going to make you a hero.” a smirk formed on her face

“But I’m quirkless?” Izuku Stammered, with a look of disbelief on his face

“That is exactly why you and the rest of your new family are here, your quirklessness may seem like it’s a disability, but all quirks change your body in all kinds of different ways, you and your 124 new brothers and sisters are what we call baseline.” She assured, turning around and exiting the room. “Come’on, we’re not finished with our conversation, nor orientation.”

Izuku followed her pace, opting to keep a step behind her.

“The fact that you are a baseline is a benefit to us in the medical sector, there’s a reason why people who are quirkless have lower prices, all of your bodies work the same, no unexpected surprises.” Continued Shield.

“How are you going to make us heroes?” Questioned the always curious Izuku

“4 years of military training, theory and practical headed by an ex-SAS soldier, we’re going to be teaching you multiple languages, English, Russian, Spanish. But Training and speaking multiple languages doesn’t exactly make you heroes now does it?” She questioned

“No, it doesn’t.” He agreed

“After those 4 years, you and 124 candidates enter ‘Hell Year’, SEALS go through a hell week of ruthless training. You get around 463 surgeries within 365 days. Warning you now, not everyone will make it through.” Shield stated.

“Is it worth it?” Izuku Questioned

“The means justify the ends zero nine six.” She stated

“Also we’re here” she continued, opening a door. “Lay down on the bed, stomach up.”

“Okay then” Izuku answered with scepticism in his voice

“Wait, your exo-skin is magnetic on the back, just reach with arms over your head and just rip like a band aid.” She Advised

“Exo Skin?” he questioned, whilst taking off the exoskin fastening the sleeves off at his waist

“Sounds better then saying it’s an armoured onesie, Its has multiple layers, outer shell is Kevlar, middle layer has a water cooling system, just a bunch of small pipes transporting said water around the body each limb has its own circuit going back to a cooling system on your front, also before you tell me ‘oh that’s what I feel digging into my stomach’ yeah I know I’ve already told my son to make some revisions to it, next one you get will have the magnetics on the front and the cooling unit on the back. Rookie mistake really. Sorry I tend to rant.” She looked to the right and on top of an end table there was a tube made out of rubber, Shield went to it and picked it up, walked back towards izuku and offered him the rubber tube.

“What’s this for?” he quizzed

“To bite on” she advised

“What’s going to happen?”

“Your new name is being tattooed on your chest above your heart, couple of reasons, first, so that no matter what happened you remember you are a part of something much larger than yourself, second, so that you know that you belong here, with the others, third, to remember who you are.” She answered quickly, becoming tired of the conversation. “After your done with this, go explore, first find the cafeteria, it should be lunch by the time you finish up here, classes and all that fun stuff will start when the others arrive.”

“When can I speak to my mum?” Izuku questioned

“Those who parent quirkless children tend to… Mistreat, misjudge or just neglect their children. We believe it necessary to separate you from your life before all this. Here you are enough. Remember that.” She expressed. She turned around and went out the door whilst someone else came in.

“Get on the bed. My name is Shunko, what is yours?” Shunko asked whilst taking a power cable and attaching it to his tattoo gun

“Iz-”

“No, No it isn't. What is your name?” Shunko interrupted

“Zero nine six.” Izuku reluctantly responded

“The faster you accept your new reality the faster you become something better.” He advised whilst turning on the gun.

“This is your last free tip, use that rubber tube as a bite guard, if you pass out don’t feel embarrassed most do.” he warned

Izuku put the bite guard in his mouth, when he did so the tattoo artist went to work. Izuku passed out from pain half way through.

When Izuku went to get his food for lunch, he didn't have much of a choice. Actually he didn't have a choice. Just good old rice and barley, the cafeteria was rather large and plain, 4 walls, a floor and a roof all made of concrete, fluorescent lights embedded in walls going from the floor to if izuku had to guess 6ft, 3 rows of tables the one in the middle being shorter than the rest, probably seating around 125 people, no one was sitting alone in this cafeteria. There were three doors, one with ‘Dorms’ labeled above it, another with the label of ‘Gym’ and finally the last labeled ‘Main hallway’ two guards were stationed at each door. 


Izuku heard a soft voice come from behind him. “Are you feeling overwhelmed? I know I was.”

Izuku turned around seeing a girl no older than him with brunette hair, then hazel eyes. “Sorta, I guess.”

“Thought so I was too yesterday, my name’s Zero Nine Five.”

Before Izuku could open his mouth, she spoke.

“You are Zero Nine Six, they are hard on us using our birth names, Zero Zero One and Zero Zero Two tried using their names and well they’ve been in lockdown ever since.”

“Really?” Izuku inquired

“Yeah, apparently that's on the lighter side of punishments” she sighed as she began to walk to a table. “Are you coming Zero Nine Six?”

“Yeah, on my way Zero Nine Five” he stuttered 

Zero Nine Five took a seat next to another boy with short black hair “Hey, Zero Nine Four”

“Yoo!” beamed Zero Nine Four 

“You seem rather excited to get kidnapped” chimed Izuku 

“You Zero Nine Six?” Zero Nine Four Quizzed.

“Yes.” a look of shock came across Izuku's face, he placed his food down next to Zero Nine Fives’ he bowed to Zero Nine Four he blurted out “Sorry for my sudden outburst”

“It's fine, it's just a matter of perspective, most of us don't see it as us being kidnapped, more being saved… My parents abused me, same with my older brother. And well I'm guessing we’ve all had the same school life.”

Izuku muttered something under his breath before sitting down and focusing on his food, whilst Zero Nine Four and Zero Nine Five were less focused on their food and more on their conversation.

“How much longer do you think we’ll be waiting for the others?” Zero Nine Five pondered

“Probably two to three weeks, just be grateful you weren't Zero Zero One.” Zero Nine Four responded

“Ugh I don't know how I’d remain sane being here for that long being held back by everyone else.” Lamented Zero Nine Five. 

“Speaking of being sane, what do we do whilst waiting for the others?” Izuku chimed in.

“Not much, I'm afraid. The only place open to us right now is the library.” Replied Zero Nine Four.

“Oo i forgot to tell you, there's kind of a tradition, you need to be a buddy of sorts for Zero Nine Seven whenever they get here.” Mentioned Zero Nine Five whilst hitting her hand on the table.

“It's nice that we’re building our own traditions. You mentioned a library called Zero Nine Four, how big is it?” Izuku asked

“Well, it has alot of military, medical, history and police books as well as books in different languages. Oh and it has access to the Hero Public Safety Commision records, so you can get records of any recorded quirk.” Listed Zero Nine Four

“Wait, how does it have access to the HPSC?” Stammered Izuku 

“Because this is the HPSC.” Stated Zero Nine Four

“Huh. I wonder if they have All Mights record?” Izuku Questioned

“Probably, kinda strange no one checked.” replied Zero Nine Four 

“I guess I know what we’re doing now.” declared Zero Nine Five as she stood up.

Izuku followed her lead, Zero nine Four in tow.

They soon reached the library, going up to the terminal

“Should We look up to anyone else before, or do we just go straight for All Might?” asked Zero nine four

“ All Might”/ ” All Might” Exclaimed both Zero Nine Five and Izuku 

Zero Nine Four then searched up All Might on the HPSC Hero Records

“Well they do know his name is” Rebutted Izuku

A feminine voice came from behind them “That we do.” Voiced Doctor Shield

“Hey doc” stuttered Zero Nine Four

“I was alerted that you accessed a restricted file.” accused Shield

“Is it really restricted if it didn't prompt us for a password?” Chimed Izuku

“That's not the point. You three are placed under lockdown for the rest of the day, return to your rooms immediately.” Declared Shield 

The three do as they’re told in order not to get on the bad side of the doctor before the program really starts.

Chapter 2: Icarus

Summary:

All Might finds an armoured assassin laying on top of a building, a gun trained on an unknowing individual

Chapter Text

“Spartan Zero Nine Six To Spartan Command, I have the target in scope, just waiting for the go ahead, over.”

“Spartan Command to Spartan Zero Nine Six Confirmed relaying message to spartan actual, Break”

Izuku was lying down on top of a building, wearing his Mjolnir exoskin along with its titanium armour package, a M99 SASR in hand, it’s a semi automatic railgun, safe to say no matter the quirk, it's going to hurt at the very least or turn the target into mist which has happened on occasion.

“Spartan Command to Spartan Zero Nine Six, you have kill autho-, disregard last, check your motion sensor, over”

Izuku, while lying down twisted his body so he could look behind him, seeing someone who's even taller than him, someone stronger than him, someone faster than him.

“Oh shit.”

All of a sudden izuku was thrown off the building onto the near empty road he was just observing, using his quick reflexes and his grip strength he kept holding on to his rifle.

“Do not fear citizens, for I am here!”

“Command its fucking All Might! Advise over”

Izuku quickly decided to not use the railgun, putting it on his back magnets securing it, after all, he was facing the symbol of peace, a hero, someone who izuku was on the same side of. Did All Might know that? No. no he did not, he just saw someone in armour holding a weapon looking down on a street.

Next thing izuku knew he heard
“Detroit smash!”

Izuku didnt have alot of time to decide what to do, having the flight part of fight or flight basically trained out of him, he knew he wasn't going to just stand there, he quickly put up a guard to defend the strike from All Might. That being said, Izuku may have faster reflexes than the now 60 year old man, but he wasn't faster. Izuku only got a partial guard up before taking the hit, for once Izuku was thankful for the armour. 

“Spartan Actual to all Section 3 personnel, Cinder Cinder Cinder.”

“Spartan Command WHAT DO I DO”

All he got back was static, another punch from All Might drawing him back into the fact he was in a fight. A pop up on his hud showed that his left forearm armour was starting to buckle. Izuku looked and saw that All Might wasn't guarding his injury after all, no one knew about it right? Wrong, The HPSC knew, and thus so did Izuku.

 

All Might was rather surprised, not only did this villain have the guts to try and shoot someone in bright daylight but they were able to put up a guard to defend themselves. He was even more surprised when he felt a shock of pain coming from his injury.

‘What’ 

He looked down clenching his jaw in pain, just to see that the villain's shin struck it.

‘How? Wait no that's a question for later’

All might brought his elbow down on the villain's stretched out leg, using one for all at 50%.

A loud crack coming from Izuku's thigh. Izuku screamed out in pain, however not a single noise made it out of his armour, Izuku looked at his hud for the last time seeing that his right thigh armour was red. Something caught Izuku's eye, a fist, All Might's fist going for an uppercut.

‘This is going to hurt.’

All Might, unphased by the crack, quickly moved on to his next attack on the villain, using one for all at 60% he went for an uppercut.

“Smash!”

All might made contact and the villain went flying back, their helmet failing and coming off. Izuku, being on the other side, saw his visor crack, the chin of the helmet failing and bending upwards, then he saw the sky unfiltered by the colour of the visor, then his vision started to blacken, just to hear the slight hiss of the exoskin’s medical systems kicking in, he vision quickly went back to normal, his thigh felt a cold liquid being poured into it. Letting out a sharp breath, izuku went to stand up, however all might grabbed the collar of Mjolnir and slamming izuku back into the asphalt of the road, all might readied his fist for another Detroit smash although this time at just 15%.

“Toshinori stand down” Izuku gasped out.

Before All Might could register what the villain just said, he let out a “Detroit Smash” knocking the villain out.

‘Wait did he just, more questions.’

All Might looked down on the villain, finally examining him. 

‘Looks more like a teen than a villain’ Looking down towards his chest he saw a number in a white blocky font ‘096, Strange, could be an armour number, ninth iteration, sixth in production. But why would they put it outside?’ something then caught his eye in the same font on the collar just a whole lot smaller, he saw it, something that made him decide what he was going to do with this supposed villain. ‘HPSC, that would explain a lot, how he knew my name, my weakness. But what need would the HPSC have which would require an assassin, a teen at that. I can't risk taking him to a Police department, HPSC may just come and sweep him up, and I still have questions, more so now. I’ll take him to UA, Nezu owes me a favour… I think.’

All might first went over to the helmet he broke, picking it up, ‘What is this made from? More questions.’ He then went over to the unconscious Individual and picked him up, ‘Seriously though what the hell are you wearing, must be at least be half a ton’ he then departed by jumping towards UA.


Nezu was in his office, looking over the numerous applicants for the upcoming year, the test still months away. All of a sudden he heard a thud on the top of roof simultaneously receiving an alert that All Might had arrived, he checked a camera looking over the roof, seeing that all might was not alone, no he had an unconscious armoured individual with him . " Strange, the system did not alert me to the other guest.’  Nezu accessed a microphone on top of the roof, why is it there? Nezu, that's why. 

“Hello there All Might, mind telling me who your new friend is”

All Might looking around confused opened his mouth “I wish i could tell you, he's the reason why im here, i think he's a HPSC assassin. We fought.” All Might looked down towards the ground “He knew things he shouldn't. Also he's incredibly heavy and I'm running out of time.”

“Understood, take him to the staff recovery room, Chiyo and I will meet you there”

Before leaving Nezu Issued a message to the teachers telling them that the staff recovery room would be closed till further notice, also stating all patrols were now voided.


Chiyo Was the last to enter the room “So what was so important for me to be dragged away from my work” her eyes set upon the now small might “What did you do.”

“I didn't do anything i swear” he exclaimed whilst waving his arms around not wanting to get hit with her oh so powerful cane, his eyes darted to the floor where the person who weighs half a ton is set “Well, I did do something… Kinda got into a fight with this one”  he said whilst pointing to the armoured individual 

“What's the damage?” She pondered

“Me or him?” All Might responded 

“He managed to hurt you?”

“Yeah, he hits like a truck.”

“Well you first then the villain.”

“First of all, i dont think he's a villain. Secondly, He knew my injury,  my name. Last of all on his armour is the acronym of HPSC. Now as for injuries, I think my injury is bleeding, wouldn't be that surprised with the amount of force behind his kick, for him, I broke his right leg, I may have given him a traumatic brain injury. I hit him with 15% after I damaged his helmet”

Chiyo kissed him, activating her quirk on him

“Thank you, also if you can, could you get samples and run all the tests you can?”

“Why do you ask?”

“Look at his blood, and you’d want answers too.”

Chiyo went over to the individual and looked at his head, noticing a cut on his forehead, the blood slowly coming out, was black, she then inspected the armour, noticing the HPSC on the collar, and then the number

“Black blood… Well we know what the HPSC stands for, but the question is what does Zero Nine Six mean?” Questioned Chiyo

“I think it's the armours batch number” Interjected All Might

Nezu came over, looked at Izuku's face, the black blood, and then down at his armour then finally looking at the number on the armour

“No.” Nezu answered

“No?” All Might pondered

Nezu looked down at his paws, before looking at Izuku's closed eyes and the blood running from his forehead. “It's his name.”

Chiyo was confused by his response, before it clicked.

“How did you come to that conclusion?” Quizzed All Might

“Because. Apparently genetic experiment recognizes genetic experiment.” stated Chiyo.

“Im sorry” All Might apologised, bowing to Nezu

“You have nothing to be sorry for. Chiyo, put him in a medical coma whilst we wait for the tests to be completed, we have no idea what he's truly capable of and we can't rely on All Might to be here.” Commanded Nezu

“What about his armour?” Questioned Chiyo

“All Might, go wait in my office, we can talk there, Chiyo I’ll call on Higari. Hopefully we have something that can cut through whatever that armour is made from.”


“All i was doing was jumping here, then i saw a figure with a gun, he looked back, almost as if he knew of my presence.” All Might Recollected

“He probably did. Would say let's examine his helmet but I'm not sure that's possible.” Nezu commented

The ringing of a phone drew them out of the ongoing conversation, Nezu answered the phone, putting it on speaker phone.

“Nezu, its Higari, Took a couple of diamond tipped blades, but i got the armour off, ran some tests on it, looks like good old Titanium, however the under armour is made out of an alloy. Titanium and diamond, no clue on who manufactured it, being that titanium is near impossible to make an alloy of, if you want i could probably repair the armour doesn't seem too complicated, there's no tech in it, just plating.” Stated Higari

“If you could. Repair it and house it in your personal development lab, see if you can't figure out how he got it on in the first place, what about its helmet?” Inquired Nezu
“Helmet may be a lost cause, I’ll see if we can't find a manufacturer's signature to get a replacement for the visor.” warned Higari

“No. At Least not yet, the situation is still evolving, we need to know what the kids' story is before contacting anyone.” Commanded  Nezu
“Speaking of Chiyo here, tests are running currently. Gave him enough Anesthetics to keep him out for a day, although running motor response tests shows that it has a limited effect, probably going to need to give him another dose sooner rather than later.” Stated Chiyo

“Have you taken off his under armour?” All Might asked

“About to, need to so i can x-ray his leg, just hoping he doesnt wake up. I’ll call Nezu if I find anything interesting, or concerning. Speaking of which his name is on the under armour.” Chiyo Responded

“I wouldn't be surprised if it was on him, some kind of barcode. Proof of ownership.” Nezu Said nonchalantly.

“Anyway imma leave it here, give him an extra dose of Anesthesia, ill report back after i take care of him. Tests should be done by then anyway.” Chiyo hung up the phone.


“Before you and the helper drones leave me, wait till I take his under armour off, you can take that as well.” Chiyo Commanded 

“Yes ma’am” Higari responded

Chiyo went over to izuku, examining his under armour she quickly saw a seam going down the middle, she reached for the chin of the under armour and with some struggle she separated the magnets which were holding the under armour together.

“Could you prop him up so i can take this off properly?” Chiyo asked

“Sure.” Higaris answered, moving to help Chiyo.

Chiyo started to take the under armour off stopping at the waist, she saw what Nezu predicted a tattoo and also surgical scars all over his body, providing more than enough access for whatever they did.

“Nezu was right, Zero Nine Six right above his heart” Chiyo commented

“What's all these lines” asked Higari

“Scars.” Chiyo answered

“Arent they a bit too precise for scars?” Questioned Higari

“Not all scars are from battle.” Replied Chiyo

Chiyo continue to take off the under armour, revealing the broken leg

“Thats weird” stated Chiyo

“What is?” Responded Higari, folding up the under armour and passing it to a helper robot

“All Might hit him, broke his leg, you’d think there’d be more exterior damage” Conversed Chiro whilst bringing over a portable x-ray machine 

“You wouldn't think so would you, I need to make sure these bots get to my lab and not pranked by the third years, so I'll have to leave you here.” Remarked Higari whilst going to the door and opening it.

“Very well farewell” Chiyo activated the machine and went to its monitor to see the damage. Then she realised the door behind her didn't make a noise when it was closed. She then heard a tired voice from behind her.

“So, he’s the reason why I’m not going on petrol?”

“Aizawa. If you’re not currently bleeding out then you shouldn't be here. I have a job to do and Nezu was clear that the staff medical room was closed today” Chiyo stated without turning to face him

“He’s just a kid” Commented Aizawa, ignoring Chiyo's statement.

“He fought All Might” Chiyo examined the image on the x-rays monitor “and he came out with a simple broken bone, keep in mind All Might decided to hit his leg with half of his strength.”

“Why?”

“We don't know the full story, and I'm not going to tell you what we do know. We can't have stories being made up of him.”

“You know I wouldn't do that.”

“But you would form an opinion based on limited knowledge.” She went over to Izuku's unconscious body and picked up his hand before kissing it.

“I can compartment..” Aizawa trailed off looking at the hand Chiyo just kissed turn into a fist “Chiyo step back” Aizawa activated his quirk, hair floating and capture scarf at the ready

“It's fine! He just isn't affected by anaesthesia as much as a normal person.” Exclaimed Chiyo 

“And how sure are you of that?” Questioned Aizawa 

“Higari took off half a ton worth of titanium from him.” She stated

“Why did he have half a ton of titanium on him?” Aizawa pondered whilst examining the unconscious body, happy that he’d in fact get the answers he wants

“It was his outer armour.” Responded Chiyo

“How the hell did he move?” Said Aizawa with a rare shocked expression. “Could be his quirk.”

“Maybe, but the leading theory is that he's a genetic experiment. That reminds me all might asked me to run all the tests and whilst i have the x-ray machine out, I may as well find out if he has a quirk” Chiyo positions the machine over Izukus foot, as she was about to activate the machine she heard the clang of metal and a not so unconscious foot move.

Chapter 3: New Dawn

Izuku woke up, quickly recollecting what happened, seeing machines around him, two figures, one an elderly doctor and another by the door. He didn't have to think quickly. He sat up, grabbed the doctor, turned her to face the figure by the door and put his hand on her throat. He spoke with dead calm. “One move and I crush her throat. Nod if you understand.”

Aizawa nodded, then examined his options, came up with three, hope he could wrap the individual with his capture scarf, call Nezu and put his phone on mute or god forbid play along. The kid did fight all might so who knows he may actually have the will to kill her.

“Your phone, any communication devices and the scarf on the floor now.”

Aizawa stepped forward unknowingly showing Izuku just enough for him to identify them and started putting both of his phones on the ground, one for work and one for personal use. ‘Well there goes at least one plan. Maybe two.’ “My throat can get frostbite without it, it's a drawback of my quirk.”

“Shõta Aizawa, Quirk Erasure, Hero name Erasurehead, full time U.A. faculty member, part time underground hero. Quite the busy schedule but, yet you still have time to have a love life. How admirable.” Izuku Stated

Aizawa was genuinely shocked at how much the individual knew, Aizawa opened his mouth to speak “How did yo-”

Izuku Interjected “How is Hizashi?” he moved over to a phone on a desk, keeping an eye on Aizawa

“I'm not going to answer that.” Responded Aizawa

“The scarf. Take it off” Izuku demanded, whilst dialing a phone number with his free hand

With reluctance Aizawa removed his scarf, weighing the options in his head he didn't have a choice.

Izuku was about to press the call before he heard the doctor speak. “We can help you.”

“No, you can't.” Izuku stated pressing the call button.

“We're sorry, you have reached a number that has been disconnected or is no longer in service.” Chimed a robotic voice

‘Shit. Plan b.’

“They’ve already abandoned you kid. They aren't coming back” Emphasized Aizawa taking a step forward.

“Step back Eraser.” Izuku demanded whilst calling another number.

“Hello, you have reached the reception at the Hero Public Safety Commision. How can I help?” Questioned an underpaid intern.

“Can you transfer me to the assistant of the president, thank you.” 

“Can I ask what this is regarding?”

“I need to debrief the president about an ongoing operation and no, I'm not at the liberty of disclosing any information to a receptionist.”

“Wonderful patching you through.”

Izuku was now on hold and a silence fell upon the room.

“I don't suppose you want to tell me how you woke up so fast?” Questioned Chiyo.

“My resistance to most drugs have been… well built up, im guessing you used your quirk Chiyo and it accelerated my metabolism.” Answered Izuku

“Hello this is Sotatsu, how can i help you?” Quizzed The assistant

“Transfer me to the president, tell her that someone from section 3 is on the line.”

Now back on hold, Aizawa piped up “How long have you been with the HPSC?”

“As long as i ca-”

“Section 3 was disbanded nearly a decade ago. Who are you?” Demanded the voice on the other side.

“They’re already putting up their defenses, kid. We can prote-” Aizawa stated

“Spartan Zero Nine Six. What do you mean we were disbanded?” Quizzed Izuku, a face of confusion quickly being shown his grip on chiyo weakening.

“The director I placed in charge embezzled around 1.5 trillion yen.”

“Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. But here I am, and I need exfil from U.A.”

“I'm on my way, we can't launch a strike group. But we can use diplomacy, be ready to debrief me afterwards.” 

“Understood. Spartan Zero Nine Six out.” and with that Izuku hung up on the President.

“They won't be able to help you, Nezu won't give you up without a fight.” mentioned Chiyo

“I forgot about him. But priorities first, where's my exo skin?” questioned Izuku definitely not just realising he was standing there in his underwear

“Exoskin? Ah you mean you're under armour, it's currently being taken to a teachers personal workshop.” responded Chiyo

“Fan fucking tastic.” Exclaimed Izuku

“If you allow me I can call Nezu, tell him you're up and that you want the under armour instead of a hospital gown.” Offered Chiyo

“First, it's an exo-skin. Second, why would he give someone bullet resistant armour?” Quizzed Izuku, loosening his grip around her neck

“It's not bulletproof?” Questioned Aizawa 

“No such thing as bulletproof. You just need to increase the caliber.” 

“And yes, Nezu would give you your exo-skin.” Stated Chiyo 

“Why?”

“Because, he's going to do everything in his power to make you comfortable. As far as I know he's the only one in this building who can possibly hope to relate to you.” She declared.

“Fine.” Izuku released his grip on Chiyo, freeing her. Turning towards Aizawa and glaring at him “Aizawa if you think you are able to get to your scarf and then capture me all before I either close that distance or kill Chiyo you would be sorely mistaken.”

“I'm not going to capture you.” Aizawa stated, taking a seat on a hospital bed arms relaxing by his side clear in view of Izuku

“Oh?”

“You need to be rescued, not captured, not collected.”

 


 

Nezu entered the room two robots behind him carrying the exo-skin, the tension in the room was thick. “If i didn't know better I’d say there was a hostage situation in here” he chimed whilst gesturing to the robots to move over to Izuku. The room remained silent “Ah. So there was a hostage situation”.

“You don't sound surprised.” Stated a everso tired voice.

“Well, he was a test subject. “ Nezu turned facing toward Izuku ”Speaking of now that you're awake I need to ask a prudent question. Your number means that there's more of you. Where are they? Are they sa-”

“They didn't make it.” Izuku cut in, slapping the magnets of the exo-suit back in place

“My apologies for your losses.”

“We knew not all of us were going to make it.”

“How many were there?”

“125.”

“How old was everyone when they were kidnapped?

“6, they died somewhere around 10-11 years old depending how far they made it into the surgeries.”

“What type of surgeries did they do?”

“I feel like saying everything would more than likely cover it.”

“How many operations did they do?”

“So many they had to keep me under for a year”

Aizawa and Chiyo were just standing there letting the two genetic experiments converse, Chiyo taking mental notes and questioning how the hell anyone could survive practically a year long surgery let alone the mental impacts of just skipping a year.

“If i was to offer you help would you take it?” ask Nezu making sure to look Izuku in his eyes, body language being as open as possible

“Death follows me. HPSC spent a lot of money on just me. Give me a detailed plan which A. does not get everyone in this room assassinated or get put in Tartarus B. doesn’t put a target on my back and C. just in case my licence to kill was fake pardoned. And I’ll accept your help.” Izuku listed “Oh and you have until the HPSC gets here. The president of which is among the team.”

“Well that's simple. You had a fight with all might, which was recorded, that of which was uploaded on the internet, and we downloaded it. You have undergone a number of surgeries so we do have physical evidence of what they’ve done. That alone should get them to back down, and then finally we have your armour, the one which states in small bold letters ‘HPSC’ so all in all we have enough to keep them silent and for them to back off without any undue harm. And to keep you safe I’ll make you a U.A. Ward, you’d be able to stay here and come and go as you wish, an allowance would be allocated to you”

“My presence here would forever remain a threat. HPSC don't like having loose ends. They cut them. Some of what I was doing, you can't make everyone a ward.”

“Why not?” chipped Nezu, a smirk forming on his face.

“Because you can't rip students from their family?” Izuku questioned with a offended look on his face

“Well I can if I make U.A. a boarding school”

“You’d waste that much money, just to keep a singular person safe?”

“I would spend that money, just to make one of us safe.” Reassured Nezu sporting a smile “Plus it would cost that much we do have Cementos employed here. Oh and an even better plus what could take years for other schools to accomplish would just take weeks for us to do.”

“We’ll also put you in therapy after everything you’ve experienced no one will judge you for going” Chiyo popped up wanting to remind the others of the damaged teen in front of them.

“No shrink.” Snapped Izuku drawing his eyes to the doctor

Chiyo put her hands up in a surrendering gesture “alright, alright no therapist, if you ever decide otherwise you can just tell whoever becomes your primary guardian or myself and we’ll get it sorted.”

“Primary guardian?” Izuku questioned looking back towards Nezu

“Takes place of a parent.” Answered Nezu

“Is that truly required?” 

“Unfortunately. We’ll place you with your future tutor, of whatever course you chose.”

There was a pause from izuku, looking down at the ground then finally looking back up. “I get to choose?”

“Yes.” Nezu answered solemnly 

“I dont know.” 

“You don't have to give us an answer right now, just in case you aren't aware, the next educational year starts in april which does give us just a little longer than two months for you to decide before it closes, we also have a open evening in a couple of weeks for possible future students to come in experience U.A. before making the final decision.”

“We should probably get ready for the music. It's been 17 minutes since I reported back to the HPSC.”

“Probably.”

 


 

Nezu was the first to enter his office, Izuku followed and last was Aizawa. 

“Everyone was staring.” Izuku commented 

“You were getting escorted by two teachers.” Stated Aizawa, closing the door behind him. And then turning around he laid his eyes upon a small frail blonde man which he's never seen before. “Who’s that?”

“Toshinori Yagi.” Responded Nezu

“All Might.” Added Izuku

Aizawas’ eyes widened in surprise before going back to normal “But he’s..”

“Deflated.” Izuku Finished

Small Might raised his voice “Young uh kid” he stopped after noticing the glare of said kid “Hm Young Zero Nine Six. Please refrain from spilling state secrets”

“You're going to work here.” Izuku Countered

“He's going to work here!” Exclaimed Aizawa

“Hm. Fellow genetic experiment please refrain from spilling school secrets.”  Repeated Nezu

“Either call me by my name or call me Spartan or Sierra, I’d prefer my name.” Punctuated Izuku “Also, you have two months before the year starts, i'm pretty sure they should know of faculty changes” he commented

“Wait, how does he know before me?” Questioned Aizawa 

“HPSC knows all.” quipped Izuku 

“And the HPSC are here.” Declared Nezu

Izuku walked over to a ceiling to floor window spying on the HPSC “Standard security, the actual president is among them. No body doubles.”

“She has body doubles?” Asked Aizawa

“Yeah”

“Why?”

“Lady Nagant.”

“Oh.”

“Not that it's that useful as their current main assassin is Hawks. All he would need is information and he could take em all out.”

“How’d they get here so fast?” Nezu asked

“Each HPSC branch office has a permanent warp gate in its basement.” responded Izuku losing sight of the HPSC escort 

“What else do you know?”

Izuku turned around. “I mean i can calculate the bullet drop of a .51 calibre round taking in account for wind speed, good old gravity and the curvature of the earth.” At the end of that sentence he put his finger up to his lips.

 


 

The room was silent till the president of the HPSC walked in, the guard securing the exterior. Nezu was sitting in his chair, Small Might and Aizawa sharing a couch, on the opposite wall from where Izuku was standing.

Izuku Stood to attention, his hand going up to salute and declaring “Ma’am, Spartan Zero Nine Six reporting” 

The President turned and looked the Spartan up and down and asked a question “Aren't you meant to be.. Older?”

Izuku was puzzled at the question, still holding the salute he responded. “What do you mean Ma’am?” 

“I mean oh sorry where are my manners” She finally returned the salute to the Spartan “At ease Spartan. The Orion Program was meant to augment adults.”

Izuku finally lowered his salute and put his feet a shoulder width apart and he held hand in hand lowered behind his back. “Well ma’am they took creative liberties and kidnapped quirkless 6 year olds.”

“Wow, That's uh.”

“Section 3 Ma’am”

“Well let me extend the first of many apologies from the HPSC and if there is anything that we can do for you, name it.”

“Well I mean if you say so, I want the facility and everything in it.”

“If you know the Address I will transfer you the land or place it in a trust.”

“I’ll get back to you when I find that out.”

“You don't know?”

“It was underground, the only time I was able to see anything notable was when I needed air transport to a targets’ location, and even then the only landmark I could see was mountains.”

“Anything else?”

Nezu finally decided to speak chimed in, short and sweet “Freedom.”

The HPSC turned straight towards Nezu “That's a given.”

Izuku piped up again. “I need a pardon.”

“Why?” Intrigued the President facing the Spartan once again.

“In case my licence to kill was forged. Oh and my hero licence.”

“You have a Hero licence?” Came from a monotone voice from a couch, fed up with the amount of shocking news he's heard today.

The president replied quickly “If he has either he won't for long, sorry Spartan but you haven't done anything we can prove for it to be legitimate.”

“That's fine with me. The Hero licence was worthless to me; they only used it as a carrot on a stick.” Stated Izuku

“Understood. So I'm guessing he’s going to become a U.A. ward?”questioned the President looking towards Nezu

“That he is. Whilst were on the subject of U.A. I’d like to inform you that next year, we will be moving to a boarding school so that our students are more focused on their oh so very important studies and well everyone in this room knows just how dire our future could be.”

“Uh, I think Spartan may have failed to divulge that national secret to me.”

Small Might answered “That's probably for the best”

“He has a massive injury given to him by someone known as ‘The First Demon’ or more commonly known as All For One, which damages his ability to use his quirk giving him a forever decreasing time limit of 3 hours.”

The President looked towards the genetic experiment and exclaimed “What else do you know?”

“Everything.” Stated Izuku

“Everything?” Questioned the President

“Everything, the scales to the 5 Kiloton Nuclear bomb which is placed under Tartarus. ” He responded

“The scales?” all might asked

“Heroes and Villains. Both need to be kept at a status quo for financial reasons.” Answered Izuku.

“Spartan everything you know, cannot leave your head.” The President ordered 

With that Nezu and Aizawa met each other's eyes, Nezu nodded to the left, Aizawa took the hint and stood up.

“Come on problem child, let's go get something to eat and let the adults talk.”

Izuku reluctantly got up and whispered to Aizawa “Wanna know stains last known coordinates?”

“What?”

He yet again whispered, whilst exiting the door, right in earshot of the guards“Or Endeavors authorised Acceptable casualty rate?” 

“You need to learn how to keep a secret.”

“Oh I know how to keep a secret, I just didn't care at that moment of time.”

“Shouta! Who's the little listener?” Exclaimed Hizashi

“We’re practically the same height, Hizashi.” Izuku stated

“Oh you’re a fan?” Hizashi Gleed 

“Something like that.” Aizawa answered.

“That something got something to do with the HPSC Pres being in Nezus room?”

“Yep, Lunch?”

“Yeah”

Chapter 4: The Lucky 20

Izuku meets Hisashi, debates Hero stuff with Aizawa.

Izuku was just finishing up a portion of rice and barley, when he heard Aizawa ask “So, you think she’ll let you go?”

“She doesn't have a choice, whether she’ll let me live that depends.” He responded

Hizashi was confused after all he still hadn't been filled in on what was happening, or who he was sitting opposite from him, who’s apparent life is somehow in the HSPC President's hand. “Sho, you feel like filling me in here?”

“Later. And kid, you didn't exactly help yourself back there.” Stated Aizawa 

“It wouldn't have mattered much, I’d still find red feathers trailing me” responded Izuku

“Red feathers?” asked Hizashi

“Hawks, he works for the HPSC directly.”  Izuku answered.

“Ugh but why?” Moaned Hizashi

 “Later Hizashi, we still don't know if the kids going to stay.” Repeated Aizawa taking a sip of his coffee

“Little listener gonna stay!” Exclaimed Hizashi 

“Yes. I'm going to stay” Declared Izuku

“We don't know that.” Repeated Aizawa

“Sure we do, there’s evidence of my existence. So she’s going to let me go free because a rogue once disbanded branch doing crimes against humanity sounds a whole lot better then ‘All Might fights H.P.S.C. Assassin, who was then taken to the best hero school in Japan and then taken back by the H.P.S.C.’ However, I know too much. So i can't exactly be kept alive.” said izuku with a roll of the eyes and he then pressed two fingers to his temple

“What the hell do you know?”

“Alot but it's not like i'm going to tell everyone” Spoke Izuku, bringing up his right hand and tapping his right ear and twirling his wrist trying to signal that there was someone with a hearing quirk. Did he know for sure? No. Did he think that there was? Yes.

“Hu” Hisashi spoke before getting hit in the head by Aizawa 

“Good to know you know how to keep quiet about it.” Aizawa stated.

“Well duh, i know what survival tactics, I’ll speak shit to their face but I won't start telling the public, not like I have evidence for half the shit they've done” Declared Izuku. He then took a moment to recollect, ‘Hisashi knows JSL doesn't he.. Fuck it im going to find out.’ with that thought Izuku made the relevant hand gestures signing “I also know how to dismantle shady government organisation”

Hisashi Spoke up “wait wa- OW.” Hisashi glared at Aizawa “Stop hitting me!”

“Who knew the U.A. Lovebirds were abusive” Joked Izuku

There was a ping coming from a phone on the table, it being Aizawas’

“You know?” Puzzled Hisashi 

“You really don't hide it very well.” Responded Izuku

“That and he had what I'm guessing unfiltered access to the H.P.S.C. Database.” mentioned Aizawa

“That helped too.” stated Izuku, nodding

“Also problem child, what do you want to eat for dinner?” Questioned Aizawa 

“Probably just have rice and barley again” Answered Izuku

“Is that all you eat?” Joked Hizashi

“Yes.” Stated Izuku

Hizashi looked down at his now empty plate ‘Theres no way he can get everything his body needs from just rice and barley’

“I'm guessing they gave you supplements?” Asked Aizawa

“Yes, with every meal.” 

“Well that stops now. We’ll work on expanding your diet with Lunch Rush tomorrow, as for dinner, I’m feeling dominos” Stated Aizawa

“The kids staying?” Questioned Hisashi excitedly

“The kids staying.” Aizawa answered

“OO Who's his primary?”

“Depends who his tutor is next year.”

“Soooooo”

“It’ll be his choice based off of what course he goes into”

“What course are you planning on going into!?” Exclaimed Hisashi

“I dont know.” answered Izuku

“It has to be the hero course right?” Questioned Hisashi

“Let the kid decide on his own.” Stated Aizawa

“Why would I get free from the H.P.S.C just to become a puppet again?” Quizzes Izuku ‘Although i could use the fame from being a hero to help take it down. Build up credit with the populace.’

There was a loud silent for a couple of seconds

Izuku broke the silence “No offence ofcourse.”

“Hmm. Who are you going to be staying with till you choose the course?” Questioned Hisashi

“He doesn't have a choice in that regard, with me expelling this year's class 1-A I'm going to be catching the problem child up as much as possible in regards to educational knowledge. So he's staying with us.” Aizawa answered for Izuku

“Oh?” responded Izuku

“Is that a problem?” Aizawa asked, not wanting to put the kid in an uncomfortable place

“No, just a heads up, what I said earlier about calculating the distance and all that, was true. I can also speak multiple languages.”

“We’ll be administering a test to guide us on how to help you, that’ll more than likely happen tomorrow.” declaring Aizawa cutting izuku off. Then he asked “Also we have half the day left, anything you want to do?”

“Speak for yourselves, I have class in 20 minutes!” Exclaimed Hisashi

“I dunno, do I have anyone I need to meet? Rather get that out of the way if necessary. That and I’ll need to be shown the campus” Stated Izuku

“You don’t need to meet anyone just yet, you’d meet your probable future teachers along the tour anyway, just heads up the tours. It's gonna take a while if we do it by foot so I'll take a Polaris to get around.”

“What's a Polaris?”

“It's like a golf cab but faster, back before quirks existed they were mainly used on large farms for transportation.”

“Ah so pretty much a light armoured vehicle”

“Well there's no armour so it's just a light vehicle”

“There wasn't any armour on the light armoured vehicle i used when i was in North Korea”

“You were in North Korea?!” Asked Hisashi

“Yes.” Answered Izuku

“Why?” Puzzled Hisashi

“I was a state funded assassin.” Respond Izuku

“Wait, you know how to drive?” Quizzed Aizawa

“Drive, fly, sail and of course ride” 

“What the hell kid? Why do you know how to fly?” Asked Hisashi

“Well, Section 3 didn't just make us, it made our equipment too, like the prototype railgun I use, and other weapons as well as, let's say dropships.” Answered Izuku

“Dropships?” Questioned Aizawa

“Yeah, its apart of the reasons why I want the facility where I was raised” answered Izuku

“You keep saying things, which keeps making me have more questions. What's the other reasons?” Aizawa Intrigued 

“Well, it has a couple spares of the good old armour, an underground garage, a somewhat impressive armoury, its own hospital, a hidden mountain runway, underground landing pads, its own satellite network, a fusion reactor powering it all and finally a command and control center.” Answered Izuku

Aizawa took a flask out of a pocket and took a shot of it.

“Yea, all of it’s equipment is brand new, despite the facility being nearly a decade old, every goddamn year if something new came out, they were replacing it.”

“And on that note i'm going to go prepare for my class enjoy the rest of the day, I’ll see you later for pizza.” With that said Hisashi stood up, and went back to his classroom

“I'm sorry did you say fusion?” Asked Aizawa

“Yes.”

“I swear multiple countries have tried and failed for like 300 years to get it to work”

“Yep dont ask me ask Doctor Shield who the fuck made it. Cus whoever got it to work decided to put it in this” Izuku banged his chest making a quiet clanging sound.

“Shield huh?”

“Wassup?”

“Nothing. You wanna wait till lunch is over or do you wanna get started on that tour?”

“Probably wait.”

It didn't take too long for the students to start shuffling out, Aizawa one of the most promising hero students that year two had, Togata, who instead of walking towards the exit was walking towards them

“Hey AIzawa Sensei!” Exclaimed someone behind Izuku.

Izuku instinctively turned around, seeing a bright young teen, with blonde hair and blue eyes. ‘If I didn't know any better I’d think you're time traveling all might, or hell his child.’

Aizawa shook his head “You have class Togata.”

“I know, I just figured you should know, unless you already do.” stated the now named voice

“Know what.” demanded Izuku

“People are saying you fought All Might and are a villain.” Responded Togata

“He was rescued by All Might” Stated Aizawa

“Oh so he hasn't killed anyone?”

“Do you think we would let him inside these walls if he did.”

“Fair enough should I correct the rumor?”

“No, let it spread throughout the halls, ultimately getting people to make up their minds before even meeting him. Yes! Correct them. You’re a hero student, you shouldn't be making up your mind about people without verifying information. I’ll get Nezu to make an announcement about it tomorrow morning.”

“Alright! Enjoy the rest of your day sensei” Togato bowed and made his way back to his class

“Goodbye. And thank you for telling someone responsible.”

“Hold up so you say goodbye to a random student but not the person you live with?” questioned Izuku

“Well I know i'm going to see Hizashi later”

“Just don't mistake what you think as a sure thing for granted.”

Izuku went to get up before being drawn back to Aizawas’ voice, “Not yet, hold back for 5 minutes.”

“Why?” questioned Izuku

“I don't want to go through that stampede.” Stated Aizawa

“You’re a hero.” Remarked Izuku

“So?” Questioned Aizawa

“When everyone is running away from a villain you’re meant to run to it, often through the civilians.” Answered Izuku

“Right. But you're missing something.” mentioned Aizawa

“There aint no villain” guessed Izuku

“Exactly. Although that depends on the student you ask.” Aizawa remarked sarcastically

“Hm?” intrigued Izuku

“It was a joke. Some students see us as villains.” stated Aizawa

“Why?” asked Izuku with a puzzled face

“We give them homework.” declared Aizawa

“And depending on the course that homework is there to help save lives whether that be through support safety regulation revision or just pretty much anything to do with hero training if they are going to call their teachers, their mentors, literal heroes villains for simply just giving them homework then they shouldn't be in that course.” Izuku debated

“But they’re just kids, you’re just a kid. You're allowed to joke around” stated Aizawa

“If they joke around during training. People will die.” Declared Izuku 

“I get where you're coming from, I do, however even i can admit that heroes still need to have a joke now and then. Otherwise they’d lose a part of theirself. There’s a fine line, they are in training for a reason even Miss Joke knows when to get serious we all do but, we also know when to joke, when to let our guard down around civilians to show them that everything is going to be alright.” ;ectured the pro

“You never let your guard down in a fight.” declared Izuku 

“As a hero you’re not always fighting.” debated Aizawa

“Everything is a fight.”

“Is that so?”

“Yes.”

“Then what are you fighting right now?”

“Time.”

“How are you fighting time?”

“I could be doing something beneficial but instead here I am, sitting in the middle of an empty cafeteria talking to an underground hero about hero behaviour.”

“It isn't just hero behaviour, It's human behaviour.”

“Humans are weird.”

“We are aren't we”

“So where are we going first?” Forced out izuku wanting to change the topic ‘Can i even be considered human, like yeah im sapient and all but considering how much of my own DNA was changed it does beg the question.’

“We’ll start here, then probably staff rooms so you know where to find the rest of us if you need us. And then the hero classes, then the student nurse room, then support, followed by general studies.”

“Doesn't UA have gyms?”

“Yes multiple, but they aren't really necessary for you right.”

“What happens when muscles don't get used?”

“They atrophy”

“Right, that is one thing they did not fix. I think.”

“So after general studies we’ll tour the gyms, starting with the normal gym then the hero arenas.”

“Perfect.”

Izuku and Aizawa both got up, and got ready to leave, taking their rubbish to the bins on the way out.


Izuku and Aizawa Walked into the hero course gym for year 1, Vlad king overseeing the full class of 1b.

The door opening interrupted the ongoing class in hand to hand combat, one of the students in a boxing ring getting distracted and receiving a punch in the face from the other.

“Aizawa, what brings you here? I know you haven't booked it.” Questioned the pro

“Shouldn't you have taught your students not to get distracted by now Vlad?” Quizzed Aizawa

“Shouldn’t you have a class to teach?” Vlad Rebutted whilst crossing his arm and walking over towards the newcomers in the room

“I would if they had promise.” Responded Aizawa

Vlad had completed his approach facing Aizawa then noticing the rather tall individual that is Sierra Zero Nine Six, facing him and looking down at him Vlad spoke “Who are you kid?”

Izuku clenched his fists and made direct eye contact and spoke “Spartan.”

“I said name not a future hero name” Returned Vlad. 

Izuku sighed. “Well if you want a list here’s one. Sierra Zero Nine Six, Spartan, Spartan Zero Nine Six”

Vlad spoke with an annoyed tone “They aren't-” 

“Oh, and I was nicknamed the personal grimm reaper of the HPSC” Izuku Interrupted

“Right of course you were.”

“Vlad. I’d suggest checking the teacher group chat.” Aizawa spoke up, stepping in between the two.

Vlad looked at Aizawa, seeing his red eyed glare, he then walked over to his phone and opened up the group chat taking a minute to skim through the messages.

Vlad returned back to the duo and questioned the Spartan “So, you’re a genetic experiment?”

“Something like that” Izuku responded

“Well then, lets find out what you can do.” Vlad stated

“And how do you plan on doing that” Aizawa snarked

“We’re in a gym training students on hand to hand combat.” announced Vlad

“Bad idea.” Stated Aizawa

“No it isnt. They need humbling.” interrupted Izuku, taking a glance of the seemingly bored students

“Are you sure they are the ones that need humbling? After all, I have been training them for the past year.” boasted Vlad

Aizawas’ brows furrowed, looking at the super soldier he asked “You know how to hold back?”

“Been a while since i had to revert to hand to hand but, i can make sure i don't punch through anyone” Izuku signed in JSL.

Aizawa looked back at Vlad and asked “So, wanna start placing bets?”

Vlad smirked and turned to face the class and ordered “Clear the ring!”

Izuku started walking to the ring, whilst 1b went to dragged over benches cluttered with drinks and other personal belongings.

“15,000 yen on Zero Nine Six.” Aizawa Whispered to Izuku

“Same on -” Whispered Vlad getting interrupted

“Any Volunteers.” Announced the Spartan.

So uh, sorry about the delay, Working nightshift is surprisingly tiring, Just a heads up for future posts going forward, Combat is going to be brutal, expect an op AFO whenever we get to that point in the far future as well as a changed motive. Oh and I'm going to try my best to meet a Biweekly update schedule at minimum.

Chapter 5: To Be A Hero

Summary:

Aizawa sleeps for 10 hours and Izuku likes guns

The 1B students offered no volunteers, Vlad although disappointed at the lack of courage shown in the young aspiring heroes, he was glad he got to choose and he would be stupid not to pick the most attuned for hand to hand combat, if he wanted to show Aizawa that theses students have what it takes to become heroes he has to take the best shot he could.
“Tokuhei. You’re up.”
Tokuhei entered the ring and activated his quirk, Goliath. All of a sudden the student grew to 7 feet tall and his muscles began bulging, and he started forming a guard, fists in front of his chest, standing front on towards Izuku.
Izuku looked at Tokuheis' stance up and down “Really, Karate?” Izuku smirked, questioning Tokuheis preferred fighting style “Fine.” Izuku stood, side on towards Tokuhei, bouncing on his feet, his fists rising in front of his face.
Vlad found himself on Tokuheis corner opposite him, Aizawa on the Spartans. 
“Ready Spartan?” Asked Aizawa 
“Made ready” Replied Izuku
“Goliath?” Asked Vlad
“Yes.” Replied Tokuhei
Vlad and Aizawa met each other's eyes, both smirked and opened their mouths “Begin.”/”Begin.”
Izuku began closing the distance rapidly, Tokuhei readied a front kick, Izuku already decided how he was going to win, and it would be swift. Izuku was close enough and tokuhei lashed out with a front kick, Izuku caught it and pulled it. The giant fell down onto his back and before he realised he saw the fist of his opponent, and then he felt pain. Izuku right hooked the fallen opponent's temple, making sure to hold back enough to not cause a traumatic brain injury and watched the lights go out in his opponents eyes as he passed out.
“I could’ve sworn I told you to take it easy?” asked Aizawa 
“You told me to hold back. I did.” responded Izuku
“The fight didn't even last 30 seconds” Stated one of the students
“And it could’ve lasted even less.” responded Izuku turning towards Vlad, “Why are you so silent? It was your training that failed.”
“You have years of training. They have had one.” Lashed Vlad.
“One year of subpar training. Maybe if their teacher clocked in more than 20 hours of hero work a month he’d have enough experience to give them at least some knowledge.” Stated Izuku
“Teaching and hero work is hard enough, you put them together you’re going to burn out at some point.” Responded Vlad
“Aizawa clocks in more hours a month then you do in four months, that was last year.” Said Izuku whilst exiting the ring.

 


 

“No way that's true.” Stated Toshinori 
“It was actually closer to five towards the end of last year.” chimed Nezu
“Is he even hitting his minimum hours?”
“His teaching hours count towards it.”
“Right.”
Nezu replayed the CCTV footage of the fight which just happened, Toshinori, watching the screen from behind Nezu, as the footage came to an end, 
Nezu sighed, “That kid is going to be bored in the hero course.” He then pulled up the system which is in control of the doors and keycards.
“How do you know hes going to go into the hero course?”
“Fighting is all he knows, plus, he thinks he owes those who have fallen.”
“Those reasons dont exactly make a good hero.”
“To his knowledge, he doesn't know what it means to be a hero, he's been locked in a facility and told ‘We’re doing this to make you a hero’ any memories of his childhood before the facility more than likely faded, all what heroes are to him are soldiers and pawns to the HPSC.”
There was a pause in the conversation whilst Nezu made a new profile for the newcomer.

Toshinori was still looking over Nezus shoulder, feeling a wave of confusion come over him 
“Uh, first off, the kid also has heightened reflex, even with one for all empowering me, he still tried to block my attacks, he would’ve been successful if he was faster. Second of, why are you giving him staff level access, plus the extras”
Nezu looked at Toshi as he spoke, then turned to the computer to input the added information. 
”Well I gave him extra access in case he needs to find one of us, since we are his guardians he should be able to find us, plus it helps build trust to show that we arent hiding anything, the hero gyms have additional weights and more advanced equipment then the other courses gyms, the Gauntlet access to help with with that boredom I mentioned earlier and the workshop is where the armour plating is.”
“Seems reasonable, do you have any plans for him?”
“As of right now, let him and aizawa have the day doing whatever, tomorrow we’ll have him take the general course intake test so we can find out what grade he's working at, why?”
“I want to show him what it means to be a hero.”
Nezu Swivlided his chair around to face all might and somehow cheerfully glared at him and stated “You aren't taking him out on patrol.”
“No, no no, i'm going to show him what it is to be a hero, i want to take him to a beach over filled with trash”
“You're going to take a super soldier to a beach and get him to pick up trash?”
“Yes.”
Nezu gleaned towards Toshi “I love it.”

 



Aizawa opened the door to the workshop, Higari wasnt anywhere to be seen, likely off teaching a lesson.
“And here we are kid, last stop before I show you where you're staying for the foreseeable future.”
Izuku blanked out Aizawa too focused on the table where the armour for the exo-skin he was currently wearing was laid out. He wandered over to it, setting off a silent alarm, he then ran his hand from the boot and paused at the chest, noticing the cut which Higari made to get him out. Izuku drew his attention to the helmet, the chin guard looking more like a mouth guard, the visor crack and a large chunk of it chipped off, he grasped the failed visor and hit a small little tab on the inside of the visor. The visor was released from the helmet.
“Kid, mind explaining what you're doing?”
“Stop calling me that. As to what I'm doing, it's called repairing my equipment.”
“Leave it to Higari.”
“It is my equipment, I'm the only one working on it. Plus i dont think he’d know how.”
With that Higari entered the room, after receiving an alert he left his class in the capable hands of one of his most sensible students
“I'd surprise you with what I know how to do.”
Izuku looked at the newcomer “perfectly. Can you pass me a plasma torch oh, and a suction cup thingy, some titanium grade 44 oh and a new visor replacement made out of sapphire glass with a thin layer of gold.”
“Okay i can get you the tools but that material we’d need to order it, that visor replacement we’d need to make ourselves.”
“Then order it, also if there's a next time you have to cut in to my armour plating, wait for me to wake up, there's biometric scanners on each piece of armour that have a quick release, there's also a machine in the facility to take it off, of course first i have to find the place.”
Higari booted up his computer and went to the site in which he orders all of his materials, he orders a block of titanium, sapphire glass,
“Hey uhh, what do i call you.”
“Zero Nine Six, Sierra, spartan. Your choice.”
“Right, Sierra. Uh theres no sapphire glass with gold option that alright?”
Izuku walks over to the computer and examines the page
“Yeah thats fine, just need to order the gold separately and use vapour deposition to get what we need.”
Higari followed the instructions of the one who knew what he was doing, aizawa believing that they were gonna be here a while and not wanting to get a headache with all these big words, whipped out a yellow sleeping bag from god knows where and zipped it and went to bed. As Higari was going to the cart and about to finalise the order he was stopped by izuku. 
“What are you doing Sierra?”
“Never mind, thought that was the wrong titanium for a second”
“Oh alright, should be here in a week, hey you seem pretty good at this, what course are you planning to take?”
“Don't let me fool you, I just know my equipment, and how to repair it.” Izuku walked back to the work table and picked up the helmet, and began bending the chin guard back to its normal place.
“I could barely pick that up, and here you are bending it.”
“The exo-skin is doing most of the work here. Wait a second dont you have a class?”
“Yeah, however they’re working on building bots for the heroes intake exam and they're pretty simple”
The two continued their conversation and Higari even started to repair the cuts he made earlier that day.
Aizawa woke up hours have passed, he unzipped his sleeping bag just to see the armour plating practically fixed, cracks were everdent, the visor still needed replacing, aizawa guessed they were waiting on material, he then looked over to Izukus shortcut and uniformed green hair and Hirgaris unkempt hair, he walked over to see what they where talking about
“Wait, that isn't a normal firing system is it?”
“No, it's a triple gas system, heard its what they use for tanks, though i don't actually know how it works, although i do know it gets the round 30% more velocity rather then the usual system.”
“What’s it chambered in?”
“51cal, APHE.”
“How is it High explosive?”
“Dont ask me.”
Hisashi looked over to the railgun
“And that?”
“5mm, right now its just a kinetic round however i do have 2 HE rounds in the left shoulder armour plating.”
“Did wonder how you’d carry ammo.”
“Yeah, small compartments, where I holster my pistol it has an extra mag embedded into the armour, I just have to hover my hand by it and it slides open.”
Aizawa looks over to the clock, and sees the time ‘How the hell did i sleep 10 hours.’
“Zero Nine Six, You have an exam in 8 hours, best we get you to the apartment so you can sleep”
Izuku turns around when hearing Aizawas voice “You know how I was experimented on?”
“Dont say”
“I only need 40 minutes of sleep”
Aizawa lets out a sigh and looks over to Higari.
“Right but I do need my beauty sleep so i can't have you in the lab, best you get going.”
Izuku turns back to his weapons on the table.
“Let me just put these back”
30 seconds later and his pistol was back together, another 50 seconds and so was the Railgun.
Izuku picked up the pistol and went to holster it
“You're Not bringing that home.”
“Sorry muscle memory”

 


 

Izuku finished the test, it was only 10am when he did, not knowing what he was meant to be doing for the rest of the day he decided to head towards a gym, however he was stopped by Toshinori.
“Wait, Spartan, can I borrow you for a while?”
“I was heading to the gym. But sure.”
The walk to the car park was silent, a bit of small talk here how are yous were exchanged.
“So where are you taking me?”
“You’ll see.”
It was a nice drive for Izuku, he didn't like the fact Toshinori wouldn't let him drive but he did like seeing the city from street level without the need of searching for a target, he was confused at seeing the beach, well more like a junk yard, in fact the only thing which made it clear it was a beach was the sign reading ‘Takoba Municipal Beach’ 
“Why are we Toshinori?”
“Why do you think?”
Izuku got out of the car and walked over towards the railing, took in the site of how much trash there was, he saw trash piles taller then some houses they passed on the way here, as well as toshinoris arm.
“You want to see how strong I am.”
“Nope.”
There was a pause
“Then i dont have an answer for you”
“Back before quirks existed heroes were people who helped the community without being asked, reaching out and offering help when unwanted.”
“You want to teach me what a hero is?”
“Yes.”
“You dont have to, I already know.”
“You know what the HPSC told you a hero was. And they are wrong.”
“So what do you want me to do?”
“I want you to clean it.
“And why would i do that?”
Toshinori Buffs up, and places a hand on Izukus soldier
“Because, Spartan, you too can be a hero.”
“I’ve killed over 150 people.”
“And you won't ever have to kill someone again, that i promise you.”
“I dont think you understand, i didnt just kill bad people, i killed good ones as well”
“You were not in control of who you were aimed at, now you are.”
All Might took his hand off from Izuku's soldier and walked down the stairs, his feet hitting the layer of trash on the floor and sitting atop a fridge.
“So now you’ve got to question yourself. What are you going to dedicate the rest of your life too, are you going to waste everything you’ve lost to get to this point or are you going to join us in protecting society?”
“I won't ever be like you. I wont ever work under the HPSC again.”
“Good, because neither do i. Well at least since yesterday.”
“What you’ve retired?”
“No, I just quit working for the HPSC, I stopped getting money from the hero fund, you can still be a hero and not work for the HPSC, you’d just not get paid and you still need a hero licence.”
“You may want to hire a couple of skips All Might, its gonna be a busy week.”

Izuku was on his way back from cleaning the beach one day, Yagi and Aizawa were somewhat worried about just how much time he spent there, however neither had actually gone to see just how much impact the genetic experiment has had on the beach. He had the beach separated into sections in his head, 10 to be exact, 6 of which were already clean in just a couple of days, he was making good progress, he knew that. Not just because he could actually see the sand and the stench was lessening but because civilians have told him he was. Maybe he should’ve stayed and answered their questions however he didn't know how to. Well he did, he just didn't want to garner more attention to the beach and his actions until he was done, civilians would just get in his way. Did he want people to know he did it? No, at least he didn't think so. If they asked then he may answer. For now he’ll just clean it when there aren't civilians arounds at least the nosey ones. 

Izuku was someone of routine thanks to his training, constantly checking windows, paying close attention to those which were open, checking reflections in those windows, monitoring for suspicious behaviour. He didn't expect to see anything dangerous, after all it was one pm, the peak of active heroes and police officers, those coming on to the first hour of their patrols and those waiting to finish their shifts, so he was surprised to see someone holding a gun to a cashier. Izuku took a quick note of the store, something music, he pulled out his new phone, given to him by nezu… safe to say Izuku already took it apart and looked for any bugging devices, he's already heard rumors about the rat. And he opened the included messaging app and pinged his location to Earserhead with the subtext reading ‘132’ - The penal code for armed robbery. Izuku pulled up the hood on his hoodie and darted towards the back alley which was to the right of the store, quickly found the backdoor and went open it, the door was unlocked. Izuku's plan was simple, he couldn't risk going through the front door and just getting shot, that left one other option, get in the back, and get the cashier out of the line of fire.

He was approaching what he thought was the door that would lead him into the storefront, he the heard two voices
“Please! That's everything in the till”
“Then let's get me whatever's in the safe”
This gave izuku new information, one they are going to be coming his way and two there’s only one of them. Izuku looked behind himself. Three doors, one with a window, more than likely the office in which the safe would be. The others were without windows, one kept open thanks to a wedge, looking into it, it was the storage room. The last was the furthest, more than likely a breakroom or maybe a stairwell to the second floor; it didn't matter. Izuku went into the storage room, the lights coming on thanks to a sensor. Hopefully, it wouldn't give his position away. He heard the door open and the two sets of steps which followed, he decided to only count the one farthest away assuming it was the gunman, it was roughly 10 feet to the office door from the door to the store front. And so izuku counted. 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. Izuku charged out from the storage room, he side tackled the gunman. The gun went off, Izuku tracked the bullet's trajectory, hitting the concrete wall of the building, but it didn't penetrate it, the sound of it echoed throughout the building, izuku started a 180 second timer in his head. The gunman was on the floor. Izuku positioned his right shin to lay across the back knees of the gunman. Slamming his left foot on the gunman's left wrist. He then grabbed the gunman's forearm with one hand and their bicep with the other and twisted. The second sound to echo out throughout the building was the scream, the gunman's arm was mangled, he let go of the gun letting it fall onto the floor, that is if izuku didn't catch it. With the gunman disarmed and probably in too much pain to try to run. Izuku examined the gun in his hand, disassembling it a couple moments later. He then turned to face the clerk.
“You good?”
The clerk was couched down by the safe, a look of shock on his face. Izuku gave him a quick look down, he was fine physically.
Then Izuku faintly heard something hit the ground then he felt pain clenching his jaw he turned around guard ready, and there was no one there, a concrete chunk on the floor from where the bullet hit the wall, he looked down to his stomach, there was an exit wound, black blood bubbling out of it, izuku held his hand to it, and looked towards the now unconscious gunman who held a crumbled bullet. Izuku looked back to where the bullet once hit the wall, and it wasn't lodged into it, in fact it was nowhere to be seen. 
“Huh, that's another meaning to return to sender.”
He then returned to looking at the store clerk, still in shock.
“Yeah I'm not trained for this.”
Izuku then walked out to the front of the store, it was empty of people anyway, the floor was a bit messy and some displays littered the floor. Hearing the sirens of the approaching police, he took out his phone and called Aizawa, all it took was one ring and he answered.
“Kid?”
“Wanna somehow get me out of a great bodily harm charge?”
“I would if i was there, as soon as you messaged me i made all might aware. he should be on his way now.”
“Can't wait for that lecture”
“It's not his job to lecture you, he knows that. It's mine.”
“Would you still lecture me if you felt sorry for me?”
“You mean besides the whole tragic backstory?”
“It wasn't that bad. But yes”
“We’re going to talk about how you’re downplaying that situation later but for now, what happened”
“I kinda got shot”
“You got shot?”
Kinda got shot. Oh, the police are here, I'll see you when I see you.”
He then hung up on aizawa, a choice he knew he’d probably regret later. he then took a step forward towards the stores front door, raising his free hand up in the air, and shouted
“Friendly coming out.”
A cop, noticing that there was someone new, who was evidently hurt rushed over to assist.
“Hey you alright?”
“Shot, i'm holding onto my exit wound, i don't know where the entrance is. Villain is disarmed in the back along with the store clerk”
“Thought it was just an armed robbery gone south?”
“It was, he used his quirk after I disarmed him, recalling a bullet which hit the wall behind me. Had to go through me to get to his hand.”
“Alright, listen, an ambulance is on the way, is there anyone I can call for you?”
“I'm a UA Ward, recovery girl can heal me when I get there. I wouldn't say no to some stitches though.”
“Well we can definitely give you some stitches and a lift to the school”
“I’ve got a lift on the way and he's probably a whole lot faster than you guys.”
Izuku then diverted his attention to the group of heavily armed police officers stacking up on the door, 4 on each side of the door.
“You know for someone who’s been shot you don't seem to be in that much pain” a third voice added .
Izuku had to pull his gaze from examining the squad which was about to breach an already cleared store, his sight instead fixating on a man in a trench coat with a suit clearly lying underneath it. Clearly the detective on the scene.
“I was kinda shot, the bullet didn't have that much kinetic force behind it, his quirk had a set speed to it apparently.” 
The detective looked over the injured young adult in front of him, clutching his wound, taken aback once seeing the unnatural black blood which already soaked through whatever layers of clothing which was over the wound, blood seeping through the seams of the scarred hand which was keeping pressure over it.
“Private go get the EMT.”
The private nodded towards his superior and went to go get the nearest EMT he could find.
“I dont believe ive introduced myself, I am Detective Tsukauchi, and you are?”
“Spartan.” Stated Izuku
“Oh? Are you a hero, don’t think I’ve heard of you if so?” surprised Tsukauchi, more surprised that a hero could have possibly went to try to intervene in something which was a criminal matter instead of some villain they could find, i mean after all they literally gained nothing from doing such a task.
Izuku frowned, a puzzled look painted onto his face “How old do you think I am?”
Before Tsukauchi had a chance at answering him he felt a force of wind nearly knocking him forward
“Detective, I am sure you of all people know it is illegal to question a minor without Guardian Supervision. Especially with that quirk of yours involved.” 
Tsukauchi had a smirk formed on his face. “Surely you don't think that low of me all might.”
A chuckle escaped from all mights lips “Of Course not!” His eyes laying upon the shot ever-calm teen in front of him, black blood dripping from his hand.

Izuku could feel all might judging him, his actions he took to settle the situation. So before he could even ask a question Izuku decided to open his mouth, staring into all mights blackened eyes. “He had a gun pointed to someone's head. What would you want me to do?”

Tsukauchi Couldn't believe that he just let simple information go over his head, he knew UA just got a new teacher, all might told him, of course he told him, even before nezu knew all might was going to finally agree he also knew that UA also just got a new ward, all might was yet again the one to tell him that, yes only by passing but come on, ‘Guardian Supervision’ It was all might telling him who the person in front of him was.

All might walked past his closet friend, and lowed his posture to be level with the spartans eyes, gently putting his hand shoulder “You did what any good hero would do. In truth I am proud of you. You did what was right without anyone in your ear telling you what to do.”
Izuku saw someone coming up to them in the uniform of that of a first responder, carrying a green box with her. “Would love to continue this chinwag however i am currently bleeding at an uncomfortable rate”
All might backed away, an EMT taking his place “Ah right, I don't particularly want you bleeding all over me whilst I’m jumping you back to U.A.”

Whilst the spartan was getting examined and stitched getting well stitched, Tsukauchi decided to pull all might to the side and asked “You want to tell me about him?”
“Not really. His story isnt mine to tell. It is his, and he deserves to get whatever amount of peace he can get.” All might whispered his answer to the detective, however in his current form it wasn't much of a difference 
“What year is he in?”
“Hes about to enter his first year.”
“Wow. Thought he’d at least be eighteen, hes taller then me. Has he decided on his course?”
“Not to my knowledge, although I think he may have made up his mind today.”
 Both of their attention got drawn away to the glass door of the store, coming out in the stretcher was the quirked gunman, an obviously twisted arm and a crushed left wrist.
Upon seeing that Tsukauchi knew he had to get back to being more professional. “I’ll come by the school either later today or tomorrow ”

Deciding to leave the detective on that note All might looked over to Sierra, who was seemingly waiting on him to finish up with whatever conversation he had, All might raised and eyebrow and all Sierra did was nod, and him and all might were on there way back to U.A. where recovery girl was presumably already waiting.

The Jirou family were only in Mustafu for one reason, the only daughter was accepted to try out for the U.A. Hero course, and to show their support her parents took a night off from composing and writing new songs to take their precious daughter to the open evening they were invited to. But of course they had to also check out the nearest music store closest to the U.A. and, of course they just had to get unlucky enough for the exact store to get robbed at gunpoint. 
“Get on the fucking ground if you want to live”

Kyoka was thrown into shock, hitting the ground as demanded as gun was waived in her general direction

“Not you, Get me everything you have in the register”

“T-theres not much, we only keep ten thousand yen in there as a float!”

Kyoka could only focus on a couple of things the two thrantic heart beats of the store clerk and the one who held a gun to his head. She head her head on the tiled floor, looking out of the window wishing she could be anywhere but here, she thought she saw a silhouette of a man look into the shop.

“Please! That's everything in the till”

“Then let's get me whatever's in the safe”

The two manoeuvred into the back of the shop

The fear which paralysed kyoka left, a dutiful look in her eyes taking its place, she looked towards her mother, and whispering 
“I think it's clear”
Deep down she knew it was, however she wanted confirmation from her mother, considering she's been at this whole super hearing thing a lot longer than she has.
Her mother nodded and together with her father helped guide everyone out. Just before leaving she heard a new heartbeat coming from the back, it was calm, beating the slowest she's ever heard one beat. From the look on her mothers face she heard it too. What felt like moments later everyone in the vicinity heard a crack of a gunshot, after regaining her senses she still heard the same heartbeat, no quickening in the pace of his heart beat then she heard a scream like cry and finally an ‘Are you okay’. Another few moments she heard metal grind against concrete, separating its bind. No less than a minute she saw a tall figure come out one hand raised and getting tended to by a police officer just as her attention was pulled away from her mother in an attempt to distract her but it was too late, she heard the sound of blood leaking from a body.

She listen in to the conversation and she was sure her own mother was too.

‘All Might. The All Might teaching at U.A.’

She’d wanted to thank the individual that stopped the criminal now named villain, however it hardly seemed the time, he was just ‘Kinda’ shot, how could he be so calm about it how was everyone be so damn calm about it. It wasn't normal to get shot at.

Mika and Kyotoku weren't exactly supportive of Kyoka going to the open evening, not after what just happened, however after a not so long discussion they found out that their want, need to support their daughter through anything no matter what she wanted to become triumphed over there worry over her after all she always did bounce back quickly, which would always come in handy if she does become a hero, that trait of hers would come in really handy, a gun would be the least of her problems after she obtained a licence. 

They and a lot of other U.A. hopefuls were walking up to the large security gate, a possible clone of ectoplasm was sorting people into rows, eight in total, since there were two hero classes, three general studies, two business and one support she assumed they were already getting split up into the selected classes.

She and her parents approached him. But he was the first to ask a question.

“What’s your name?”

“Kyoka Jirou” Kyotoku Replied

Ectoplasm had no differentiating facial details to go off at however he turned to the young girl accompanying the two adults,

He firmly asked the same question again

“What is your name?”

“Kyoka Jirou” she replied.

“First row on your left, congratulations on making it this far.”

The row was already quite backed by a total of 26 students if she had counted correctly, there was still 5 minutes before the registration was done. After 3 music at the front gate started playing, safe to say it wasn't her genre, however it did suit U.A. at least how far they got it was inspiring however around what she guessed was the halfway mark the tone of it changed, somehow getting dark, she figured it symbolised how the majority of the people here won't pass the exams after all everyone knew the acceptance rate, 1 in 300. One of the highest in the country wait how many of these open evenings have they done? With classes of 20, all she had to do was times it by 300. 6000. Just for one class, for one hero class anyway. She assumed that most of them were weeded out during the first phase which vetted the students, then limited it down to ones with the most potential to offer this experience too. That guy was supposed to be here, she was surprised to have learned that he was roughly her age, but wasn't he meant to be entering U.A. too? Where was he? She then saw what was probably the last student, blond hair with a black lightning steak shaped into it ‘That has to be dyed right?’ And then he and his parents talked about ectoplasm and then made his way to her row.

Next thing the gates opened on the left was someone she never even seen before, if they too were in formation then that would mean he was leading them, looked like he had a helper too, trailing his six was a tall Machine? Covered in green armour plating and a black base layer topping it was a green helmet with a golden visor, she could  hear a low hum coming from the individual, maybe a heart beat but she was too uncertain. Next to them was Vlad King, Present mic, Ms Midnight and she couldn't exactly place the rest of them, one made out of cement, his name on the tip of her tongue, one in a cowboy attire, with an S on his hat, Oh Snipe! Whilst she was trying to remember the rest of the heroes she was nudged forward by her mother urging her to walk forward and shorten the largening gap between them and the rest of the group and so she did, walking past the green machine which was on the unknown heroes six now deciding to bring up the rear likely so the ones at the back dont fall behind, just like she was, she looked up into the Visor? Of this so-called machine, giving it an awkward smile, receiving a nod in return then looking down to the white bold numbers on its chest piece, the number Zero Nine Six.

The open evening consisted of showing them the hero class room of 1-a as well as the first year heroes gym. Then finally the dorm room.

“This will be our final stop together.” Aizawas' voice was ever so tired. “The individual who has been following will take over questions about this place, please feel free to address all of the oh so complicated questions that i dodged to him, if he misbehaves wake me.”

Sierra opened his comms up to aizawa “Really gonna throw me into the deep end?”

Putting his finger up to his ear piece Aizawa answered “Yes.” then all of a sudden he pulled out a yellow sleeping bag and zipped it up before collapsing to the ground.

A few of the parent showed concern, before they could make sure that the teacher was alright Sierra connecter to his speaker on his helmet and for the first time 
“Please do not awake the homeless person unless it is absolutely necessary”
“Calling a fellow teacher isnt very professional” complained one of the parents
“Im a U.A. Ward, im no teacher, I don't have to be professional.” Sierra wasn't in the mood for an argument so before it could continue he went back on track to the current mission at hand.

“Anyway this is Heights alliance, Class 1-As dedicated dorm room, here successful applicants would live during their semester here, U.A. hasn't announced it publicly yet however, but you should’ve been informed by now, but U.A. is trialling a bordering style of school, so your house would finally once again be quiet.” Sierra was quite surprised he got a few chuckles out of it, he didn't intend for it to be a joke, why would it be? After it quietened down he continued whilst walking over to the open floor plan kitchen/dining area/ social area “The cafeteria is amazing however it isnt twenty four seven deal, more like four hour deal, so students would have to rely upon their own god awful cooking skills, which quite possibly be the death of them.” he gestured to the fridges “If you can count we have a total of three fridges, all of which are restocked on a friday, old food replaced shelves rotated you know how it is.” he then manoeuvred up one of the stairs to one of the blocks of rooms “each room is the same size, each room has a magnetic lock, only unlockable by your students lanyard or by the teachers break in case of emergency lanyard. Each room has been soundproofed for the highest amount of privacy.” he then returned to the main room, let out a sigh and opened his mouth

“Any questions?”

“Is there any enforced curfew?”
“All bedroom lights go out at twenty two hundred hours. Turn back on at six hundred hours, bright and early, all other lights go out at around twenty three hundred hours. Turn on at five hundred hours for the early risers ” 

He then heard a nasally drooling sound coming from somewhere “What about the bathroom situation?”
“Separated by genders, accessible through lanyards of the appropriate sex.”

“Can you not use that word around teens?”
“I’m literally the same age as them, if they cannot handle themselves with the minimum amount of maturity to handle the word sex in that context then they shouldn't even bother turning up for the combat exam. Hell they shouldn't even be here.”

“Wait, you're the same age as us?” asked one of the young male voices with black hair
“Possibly, I'm not really sure but we’re getting of topic.”

“Are you getting a free ride since you're already a U.A Ward?”
And with that a bunch of murmuring started up and a faint opening of a zipper could be heard.
“He isn't getting a free ticket. He has to prove himself more than anyone here. His points needing to be earnt during the combat test have been doubled.”
“That's a bit unfair, I get that the whole thing may have a biased thing but that's just harsh” spoke a woman with blonde hair unaccompanied by anyone else. Sierra could swear he could place her somewhere, that he should be able to place her somewhere.
“I’ve already agreed to those terms, I already have a large amount of training to put it lightly, and with the fact that I already have support gear, it in my eyes helps to even out the playing field.”
“You say that with such ease but its your future and our children's future at risk, you can't just ‘even out the playing field’ it makes it so unimportant, so easy” said a women with a deep purple hair
“My future is written in stone. It has been for a long time. I don't know what is ahead of us who go into the arenas. But what I do know is that if you have enough courage and enough tenacity you can get through pretty much anything.”

The tired voice of Aizawa spoke up again “I believe that is all we have time for, I’ll lead everyone out.” 
And so he did, Kyoka Jirou was the last to leave beside Sierra she turned around and gave him a smirk
“So how was it kinda getting shot?”

Really annoyed with how long it took to get to this point tho, but hey oh longer chapter this time, probably would be the same length next time too, hopefully now that we're actually starting the whole hero school part about this whole super hero school premise.

Chapter 7: Theres No Go In War

Summary:

Big robot versus an anti everything and fuck you too gun.

Oh and pineapple on pizza who would've thought.

Sierra skipped the whole exam orientation thing, figured he could use a few more bullets, a couple more shells for a certain favourite semi auto railgun he hasn't gotten to use in quite a while. Plus, whilst he was in the workshop he saw what he’d be fighting. It was only robots, he couldn't lie to himself, he was expecting something a little bit.. More?

 

“You should probably get yourself to Battle centre Alpha,” announced Higari.

 

Sierra smirked and spoke with a sarcastic undertone “kinda wish it was battle centre Sierra.”

 

“We don’t have that many battle centres.”

 

“It would’ve been for good luck.”

 

“You wouldn't need it, you have training, equipment and well…” trailed Higari letting the next word hang

 

“Genetic engineering?”

 

“Yeah.”

 

“Well I dont have a quirk so i suppose it’ll have to do” He muttered

 

“What was that?”

 

“Nothing. I gotta go, remember? Someones gotta place first may as well be me.” Izuku left, picking up what extra gear he made.

 

Higari started picking up on Sierras tendencies, doesn't really like saying goodbye, and would rather work by himself rather then accept help. Who could blame him, considering what happened to the last people he tended to work with.

 

 

Aizawa knew group Alpha was missing someone, after all it was a bit hard to miss a super-soldier, just when he was about to call the kid and ask where the hell he was, he saw the sun reflecting in a golden visor, and he finally checked sierra off of his attendance list, he turned around making it clear to Sierra that it wasn't time to talk strategy.

 

Sierra finally got to the entrance, saw a girl panting, obviously a little bit panicky Sierra knew what that felt like. He had to prove to himself he could do it. She had to do the same. If she's meant to be here she’ll succeed on her own. Sierra pushed himself to the front, he only recognised a few people here from the open evening he was forced to do, those who were looking back at him in curiosity wondering whether the double points were truly necessary.

 

There was no warning.

No countdown.

No beep.

 

Just how Sierra was used to

“The Fuck Are you lot waiting for. There is no ‘go’ in a war.” The stern voice repeated over, and over, and over again in his head. 

 

The gate crooked open, opening what could be the slowest it could. But Spartan saw what looked like the first possible group of robots, he could see one on the first one visible, one pointer. Izuku lifted up his arm, pistol in hand, assuming a firing stance, he fired, two more were visible. He shot again, switched targets, and fired again. Another two, and another two down. 6 rounds depleted, 6 rounds in the magazine, 6 points on the tally. With no more robots apart of that group he ran, whilst leaving the rest of the group in shock of hearing the live ammunition being used.

 

The armoured individual was fast, Ida would give him that much. Especially with that much presumed weight holding him back however, he may have gotten the first, second, third, fourth, fifth and sixth kill; he only did that because he used the tactics of a villain, but when he was around, he would show this participant what it looked like to fight like a hero.

 

Spartan saw a tall boy with blue hair, with engines for legs speed past him. Whilst a pack of four three pointers turned the corner, the boy was definitely fast but unfortunately for him, Spartan knew how to aim, and he had a gun. Sonic axe kicked one of the 3 points in the head. But by the time he did that two others were dead.

 

8 rounds depleted 2 rounds in the magazine, 12 points on the tally.

 

He went to aim at the last remaining one, when all of a sudden a blue laser shot pass him

 

Ignoring what the french guy made of sparkles said he ran into one of the buildings, he may waste time right now, but he needed a height advantage.

 

It wasn't long till he got the advantage he seeked, when opening the door he saw a two pointer on top of the roof, getting ready to pounce on someone, but more importantly Spartan saw a chance to do something he may never get the option to do again.

 

“OI” He exclaimed getting the attention of the two pointer

 

The two pointer turned around just to see the boot of the spartan shouting

 

“THIS. IS. SPARTA.”

 

Spartan positioned himself so his left side was facing the street, switching hands that the pistol was in, about to start running and gunning, he saw a distant three pointer rocket pod start to light up, he aimed at the rocket about to fire, and he shot hitting the warhead a purple? Explosion went off, disabling the rocket pod, he then aimed for the head and shot again. He reloaded his pistol without needing to look for a magazine hidden in his right thigh armour piece.

 

10 rounds depleted, 10 rounds in the magazine 17 points on the tally

 

Spartan started with his initial plan for coming up here. Not once did he slip, not once did he miss. But fuck me he was running out of ammo… for his pistol atleast. Four three points made 12 two two pointers made 14 four one pointers made 18

 

19 rounds depleted, 1 round in the chamber 35 points on the tally

 


 

“30 points on average is regularly whats needed normally, it differs each year, but whatever the average is. You will need to beat it, by double.”




 

Spartan heard what the rat told him he needed to be at the top of the leader board to win. Else he would have to take his chances with the sports festival, Aizawa did it ofcourse he could. But why do that when he could have some fun. At Least that what he thought whilst pulling off a superhero landing right on top of the three pointer, and explosion going off but leaving the spartan unfazed, instead he picked up the carcass and threw it at a 2 pointer which was mid attack on an oblivious participant.

 

40 points on the tally.

 

5 three pointers came around a distant corner, so the spartan ran, randomly zigzagging, having the rockets barely miss him yet his balance remained unchallenged. Then he stopped zigzagging and just ran at them. The missile even with a direct his only slowed him down, didn't even dent the armour, they were close enough so Spartan did the normal thing and threw it yet again as if playing bowling he hit two, then decided on just punching the last one in the face

 

55 points on the tally. 

 

The spartan looked towards a building

“Yeah, rooftops are definitely safer for traveling.”

Speaking to himself was something that the spartan had always had an issue with, he knew that, everyone at Orion knew that. There was a reason why it was supposedly trained out of him, but without Section 3 there to hinder it, it came back.

 

Travelling on the rooftops was definitely safer, you also had a better view of the urban battle going on beneath you. It was interesting to say the least, see all of the other participants attempt their best at fighting. Like for example their was this one girl, her quirked allowed her to either negate the weight of things or gravity all together. It was strong thats all that was important. The quirk was strong but not the wielder. After 7 minutes of using her quirk she was visibility exhausted. The spartan looked ahead of the rooftop path he had in his head, knowing he had two options with  roughly three minutes remaining. Continue on and hope to find another robot group or jump down to help.

 

As the Spartans’ leg crashed down into the back of the two pointer forcing it down into the ground with the force from him jumping from 8 stories high, he could already see how All Might was smiling from the observation room he was in.

 

A one pointer switched from targeting the girl to targeting him, spartan stomped on the two pointers arm once separated he kicked it up into the air, catching it with his hand he threw it with precision into the wheel of it causing a large audible hiss, the one pointer fell over and the spartan walked over, grabbing the back of its neck and ripping out a spine of cords and pipes, liquid surging out and coating the spartans armour in a layer of oil. 

 

Four more two pointers were targeting the worn out girl, which just pressed her hands together saying something that he couldn't hear, a couple of one pointes dropping, the chassis failing and caving in from the impact.

 

Next thing spartan knew he was jump kicking a two pointers head in, throwing the body at center mass at another then realisng he didnt have much time left to get at minimum 60 points he charged and kept pushing the third two pointer till he crashed into the fourth, he kept on pushing just till he slammed them through the concrete wall of one building, he halted and looked at the mixed grey and green of the robots and concrete.

Then he heard it.

 

A building crack.

 

“And the fun never stops.”

 

Rubble hitting the ground somewhere near, glass shattering, asphalt giving out to immense pressure. He saw a crowd run past the street he was in, they must have grouped upo for some strange reason. 

Whatever it was to make a group run to make a building crack, and at that thought he felt the ground shake, the air immediately filled with dust. Spartan switched out all of the rounds in his M99 SASR out to a magazine of purely APHE. and he ran into another building.

 

Stupid idea? Yes. Was it going to be fun? Also yes.

 

He saw its head. It was massive, twelve stories at least. Spartan decided to move to a better advantage point, to see what else he could hit, to strategically take it down, now. He didn't know how many this thing was in points but it was definitely going to be exciting




The robot was about to take a wrong turn down towards a dead end would've been a good thing if y'know. It wasn't the same dead end everyone ran into. Did they not know they could oh i dunno get on the roof. It didn't matter, Spartan pulled out his pistol and with one hand he shot it at the robot, getting its attention. And then. It moved towards him, he went into a safe firing position already choosing his targets.

A loud thumb could be heard across the battle centre. Then a loud beep.

 

“Good fight to everyone in battle centre Alpha. Return to the entrance for medical care, if unable to move. We will find you.”

 


 

“The War Only Ends When You. Decide it does. You could all become Spartans. Live up to your namesake.”

 


 

Sierra decided on the easy way down. He jumped. Leaving one of the participants to question how the fuck someone can survive a jump from 14 stories high. Let alone walk it off like nothing happened.

 

Sierra made his way to the entrance, said hello to the recovery girl, how could he not, made sure to set up a blood draw appointment later that day, just to make sure in a worst case scenario they’d have his blood on hand for him. Wouldn't want to get shot shot and need it but literally don't have it.

 

He had to make his way to the observation room, he didn't know if he was allowed in, until his lanyard buzzed him in, he made his way to the top, passing a group of people he never recognised before, bland faces, no distinguishable marks, just faces in suits. He made his way to the command room, still pitch black, still fights on the screen, a minute fifty in between each one ending. He saw a gloomy figure in the back of the room. It was aizawa. It had to be, who the hell else would it be, he made his way up to him, hitting the release on his helmet on the way up there, a hiss was let out from it letting out a pure oxygen environment.

 

Aizawa let out a huff “You did good kid.”

 

“You know I could swear I keep telling you not to call me that.” snipped Sierra

 

“You used the buildings to your advantage.”

 

“We were in an urban environment, I'd be stupid not to.”

 

“Wasted a couple bullets at the start though, you should’ve just ran in there and destroyed 'em with your hands.”

 

“I liked it better when you were complimenting me”

 

“I don't compliment show boasting.” Aizawa took a sip of his coffee

 

“Think anybody scored higher than me?”

 

“In the regular combat exams, yes, one other person.”

 

“How big of a difference?”

 

“Depends how many you got.”

 

“64 I believe.”

 

“13.”

 

“Shit. thats gonna hurt the average”

 

“Yeah but he didnt rescue anyone.”

 

“What do you mean?” questioned Sierra

 

“You really think we’re as shallow to just throw kids at robots and not see if they rescue anyone?”

 

“And you reward points for that?”

 

“This is a hero's exam, correct?”

 

“How many points did I get from that?”

 

“I don't know, it's up to a board.”

 

“Who's on the board?”

 

“Thirteen, Nezu, Lunch Rush, Recovery girl, Hound Dog.”

 

“Y'know i dont think Lunch Rush likes me.”

 

“He does. He just doesn't like the fact you wont eat anything other than rice and barley from him.”

 

“What, It's what I'm used to!”

 

“You ain't in prison any more. You can have actual meals”

 

“I had dominoes”

 

“Well done. Out of the couple weeks you’ve been out you had one pizza. Oh and out of anything it was hawaiian

 

“What! I like honolulu!”

 

“You never put pineapple on pizza.”

 

“I'm on Shos side on this one Sierra” added Nemuri 

 

“It was nice!” retorted Sierra

 

“Did they mess up your tastebuds too?” conspired Nezu

 

“Don't worry, listener, ignore them. Your taste buds are fine, they are the ones which need work done.” backed Hizashi

 

“Right, I'm done here anyway, I have a beach to clean.”

 

“Aint you practically done with that?” asked aizawa 

 

“Yeah, last section, hopefully they emptied the skips by now.” answered Sierra

 

“Yagi we need to find a new job for the listener!” exclaimed Mic

 

“Preferably a harder one.” stated Sierra

 

“Don't think I have any others.” replied Yagi

 

“Right i gotta go get out of this armour if i want to do it ‘ Legitimately’ ” quoted Sierra 

 

“And you’re getting oil all over our observation tower.” pointed nezu

 

“You act like you're the one who's gonna clean it up.”

 

“I ain't risking this fine pelt”

 

“I will wipe oil on you.” Sierra stated..

 

Sierra left on that note, wanting to get out of the dripping armour and into something more clean for the beach.

 

“I do wonder how many points he's going to end up having.” Stated Nemuri

 

“More than enough to pass.” assured Nezu.




 

Kyoka had just finished being seen by recovery girl. She over strained one of her earphones, if she remembered correctly she got 28 points. She hoped that would be enough, she pulled out her phone in order to message her parents who were eagerly waiting to hear back after their group chat, being filled with encouragement. She was distracted by a loud voice

 

“Hey wait up!”

 

She turned around to meet the face she thought was calling for her, seeing a familiar lightning streak sat inside of a set of blonde hair.

 

“Oh its you, from the open evening”

 

“Yeah. Well I saw how you were doing in there. I just wanted to say you fight pretty well.”

 

“Oh thank you, I tried my best. I’m Kyoka Jiro”

 

“Im Denki Kaminari. By any chance could I have your phone number?” 

 

“I live a couple of hours away, so unless we both get into U.A. it’d be pointless.”

 

“Soo?”

 

“No.”

 

“Oh well, I suppose I just have to hope that you get into U.A.”

 

“Yep”

 

There was a pause of awkwardness between the two, Denki remembering something his mother said “Most girls dont like cockiness” They also just don't like getting insulted.

 

Something caught his eye, behind jiro there was a figure, drenched in oil coming out of a tower. 

 

“Oh shit! He's definitely getting in.”

 

“What?”

 

“Look behind you.”

 

Jiro immediately knew what she was looking at, green armour. It was him that I kinda got shot guy. Last time they saw each other was at the end of the open evening.

 

“So how was it kinda getting shot?” 

 

She somewhat expected an answer, all she got was a head tilt and silence. It had to be the same person behind the mask, the voice was the same, and Kyoka prides herself on always remembering the voices of people.

 

“Even if he didn't get enough combat points I bet they’d change his so he could get in.”

 

“He’s literally dripping in oil, pretty sure he's gotten enough points.”

 

“Oh is that what that is?”

 

‘Dumbass’

 

“What other liquid is black?” Kyoka looked down at the floor then back at the armoured individual “He probably knows how many points we need to pass.”

 

“So what?”

 

Jiro walked off, towards the individual in oil.

 

Kaminari, deciding he had better things to do, walked back to the entrance gate of U.A.

 


 

Jiro was tired and not exactly in a rush to catch up to him, but he was about to enter a building in which Jiro correctly assumed she wouldn't be able to follow.

 

“You never answered my question.”

 

Sierra turned around, 

 

Looking down at the girl from the open evening. HIs own question entered his mind again, how did she know? Was there a news article posted? A video? Was she there? How did she know it was him, she couldn't have seen his face ever since then

 

“How did you know?”

 

“While I was there, I heard a gunshot. I also heard you repeatedly saying that phrase.”

 

“How could you hear that?”

 

Jiro tapped her earphone jacks. “I have super hearing.”

 

Sierra smirked, “Super hearing can come in real handy in the line of work you’re pursuing.” realisation hit him, hard and fast. She more than likely heard all mights conversation with the detective. Even though it wasn't stated, if she was smart she may have been able to guess that all might was going to be teaching this year. “What else did you hear?”

 

“Why would I tell you?”

 

“Because I asked?”

 

“Well you didn't answer my question but I answered yours.”

 

“Good observation.” the spartan turned around and held up a keycard to a black box on the side of the door.

 

“Wait what's your name?”

 

Sierra looked back toward the girl “why would i tell you?”

 

Jiro looked at the golden visor only to see her own reflection. “Mines Kyoka Jiro”

 

“Zero Nine Six or Sierra. Whichever one you prefer.” he then turned around walking into the engineering building. “Any other questions or?”

 

“Yeah, what do U.A. Students do for fun?”

 

“Tell me when you find out, been here for a couple of months and i still ain't got a clue”

 

“Speaking of getting here, How many points does one need to pass?”

 

Sierra was thinking about telling her, it wouldn't be that big of an issue, but then again he only just met her, three hundred to one odds she wouldn't get in, he settled for some of the answer. “It depends on the average amount of points earnt.”

 

“Oh whats the normal average”

 

“I can't tell you.”

 

“Right.”

 

“Listen, if you pass the theory test, you automatically get accepted into the general studies course.”

 

“So? I still wouldn't be a hero?”

 

“Not the point. You can be selected to move to a hero course dependent on your actions made during the U.A. sports festival. Although you do know even if you get into the hero courses you’re not automatically guaranteed to become a hero?”

 

“I mean obviously you’d have to be stupid to think that.”

 

“U.A. has such a high pass rate of the final heroes exam because they themselves put the student through hell in order to prepare for them, if you are worried that you won't pass that simple of a test, you need to train harder. They will only add more and more variables.”

 

Oh.” the disappointment in her voice spoke volumes 

 

“If you're determined enough to become what you want, you’ll end up finding failing fun, using it as fuel to push yourself farther, beyond the limit of your peers and yourself.” 

 

“Now I have to go, and so do you. The gate closes in 10ish minutes, if you're still inside by then you’ll have to get shown out by someone at the main reception.” with that Sierra walks backwards, the door closing in front of him, cutting Jiros vision of him.

 


Yagi and Sierra were overlooking the now clear beach. Sun reflecting in the calm ocean water.

 

“I'm going to be honest young sierra, i thought you would’ve finished this ages ago”

 

“The skips only get emptied once a week.”

 

“So what did you do during the downtime?”

 

“I did some investigating into the various companies which dumped here.”

 

“What did you find out?”

 

“They won't be dumping here anymore, instead they are actually going to be making sure that they dispose of things properly.”

 

“How’d you manage that?”

 

“They tend to listen well when their home is broken into by a super soldier.”

 

“Do they know it was you?”

 

“All they could see was the gold of my visor.”

 

“Well I think what hero you're going to be.”

 

“Oh and what's that”

 

“A terrifying one.”

 

“Justice can be terrifying to those who run from it all their lives.”
