Chapter 1: Chains.
Chapter Text
There was a loud thud outside of Mario's front door. He wasn't home, he was out with the princess, but Luigi was at home. His attention was instantly diverted to the door. He hesitantly walked over, putting down the wiimote in his hand and shutting off the tv it was connected to.
“Hello..?” He whispered as if the closed door could answer and clear things up. His hand was shaking as he reached for the doorknob. It was getting dark out, which made him even more wary.
He pulled the door open. At first, he saw no one, that is until a muffled gasp from the floor hit his ears.
In front of him, at his feet, was Dimentio. Without his mask, Dimentio’s purple skin was visible, he had faded scars from magic covering half his face, and he had his eyes exposed, one was a dark blue, and the other was yellow. His light blonde hair was visible as well, as his hat was missing too. His wrists and ankles were chained up tight, making him have to lay down. He had a few vines wrapped around his mouth, he was unable to speak.
“Dimentio…?” Luigi kneeled down. He's never seen the evil mastermind so vulnerable… It made him feel something more than pity or fear.
Dimentio let out a muffled cry, struggling against the chains restricting him.
Luigi's hand involuntarily reached for the chains around the jester's wrists, his fingers brushing against the cold metal. “Wh-what.. who… did this?”
Dimentio couldn't respond, but Luigi wasn't sure he even wanted an answer.
“Let me get you inside.” Luigi said, grabbing Dimentio and pulling him into the warm house, closing the door behind him. He wasn't sure why, but seeing Dimentio so helpless… It made him a bit excited.
Dimentio, still on the floor, let out a muffled noise, and shook his body hard, trying to break free from the chains.
“Don't do that, you'll hurt yourself.” Luigi's tone was commanding, it startled him, he never knew he could be this confident. He cleared his throat and pulled Dimentio to a sitting position with his back against the wall. He kneeled in front of him.
Dimentio was frozen, Luigi's tone caught him off guard.
Luigi's hand moved to Dimentio's neck. He grabbed it, squeezing it a bit. Dimentio let out a muffled gasp, his airways closing. Luigi tightened his grip, and then let his hand fall down to his side. He stood up and opened a drawer, taking out a small, sharp knife.
Dimentio's eyes widened with fear. Luigi kneeled back down, and pulled the knife close to the jester's face.
With a single slash, the vines around his mouth were cut. They fell down. He gasped for air, panting and coughing.
“Th-thank you..” Dimentio seemed scared to speak, his eyes fixated on Luigi's hand.
Luigi didn't respond, he felt odd, like he wasn't entirely in control of himself. His mind filled with unfamiliar fog.
“Luigi…?” Dimentio's voice was shaking, causing the fog in Luigi's mind to thicken.
The once fearless, unkillable god, Dimentio, was sitting chained up in front of him, scared. It made Luigi feel powerful. He tugged on the collar of the other's shirt. Dimentio's chained hands shot up to grab his arm.
“Wha… what are you doing…?” Dimentio tried to snap Luigi out of the trance he seemed trapped in.
Luigi reached his free hand and grabbed Dimentio's chin. His expression of awe turned into something a bit more.. sinister.
“Luigi…!” The jester tried again.
“Take your hands off.” Luigi whispered.
Dimentio refused, “no…! What are you doing? Get me out of these chains! Now..!” He insisted.
“I don't think you understand who's in control now, Dimentio.” Luigi retracted his hand back to his side. He pulled the shirt hard, causing Dimentio to fall forward.
Dimentio choked again, he quickly shot back up, his breathing a bit faster. His eyes looked into Luigi's, filled with fear. “What…?”
“I control you now, you don't get to be freed.” Luigi's voice was as cold as his gaze.
Dimentio slowly let his hand slip off Luigi's arm. He felt himself curl just a bit, understanding exactly what was happening, and dreading it.
Luigi got up, and pulled Dimentio with him, forcing Dimentio to stumble to his feet.
“What are yo..-” Dimentio was cut off.
“Shut up.” Luigi commanded.
“You... you won't tell me what to do.” Dimentio still tried to keep his honor, but it was clear he was scared, his knees were shaking.
Luigi pulled him closer, “you see, that's where you're wrong. You're my little puppet now.”
“No! I-I’m not! Let go of me!” Dimentio shook his whole body, hoping to be freed.
Luigi chuckled, “maybe this time, I'll make *your* mind *my* blank slate to control…”
Dimentio's breathing was as fast as it could get, he could feel his heart cry out in fear, hearing its panicked beating in his ears.
“That's better, isn't it?” Luigi pushed him back to the floor.
Dimentio let out a surprised huff as he fell to his knees, he looked up to Luigi, who was now towering over him.
“Let's see how long it will take for me to break you, little doll of mine…” Luigi could feel the fog in his mind spread all over his body, he took a few steps forward. Dimentio, still on his knees, got further back, trying to keep a distance between the two of them. Dimentio’s back hit the wall, he let out a whimper, his entire body was now shaking in fear.
Luigi kneeled down in front of Dimentio, and let his free hand wander back to his shirt.
“L-Luigi… please…” Dimentio begged to keep the little honor he had left.
“Hm… don't call me that, I'm your owner now, you should show me some respect.” Luigi’s hand grabbed the shirt’s collar.
“What do y-you expect me to call you, then..?” Dimentio’s voice was shaking as bad as his body was.
“I guess that's something we'll have to think about… but that's for later.” Luigi’s face grew a slightly mischievous smile.
Dimentio stayed silent.
Luigi put the chains around the other's ankles under his shoe, making sure it's pinned in place, and both his hands are free. Still trapped in an odd trance, Luigi holds the collar of Dimentio’s shirt in his hands, and with one quick pull from each of his hands, the shirt is torn open in the middle. The sound of fabric ripping fills the air. Dimentio’s fears just got worse.
“So enchanting…” Luigi said, brushing his fingers over Dimentio’s exposed chest and stomach. He was quite fit for someone who was never seen touching the floor.
Then, Luigi had an idea, he stood up and stepped off the chains. Dimentio’s heartbeat quickened.
“Follow.” Luigi commanded. Dimentio didn't have much choice, he started to get up on his feet before… “Why are you standing up? Did I give you permission to walk? Crawl if you have to.” Luigi’s tone had a hint of mockery. Dimentio’s eyes widened.
“Oh… Okay…” the jester found himself on his hands and knees, following Luigi like a mindless animal. He felt incredibly embarrassed, ashamed of every step. Luigi led him to an empty bedroom, likely the guest bedroom.
“I'm so glad no one else likes you, that means I can keep you with me…” Luigi said as he tied the chains to the frame of the bed using a strong rope.
Dimentio realized this was where he was going to spend the rest of eternity. Without his magic, he was powerless against Luigi.
“Get up on the bed, it's time to see how good you are at listening.” Luigi ordered. Dimentio obeyed with hesitation.
Luigi also sat on the bed, and pushed Dimentio to lay on his back in front of him. There was a fire in his eyes. He pulled Dimentio’s clothes open just a bit more, letting his whole torso be visible to him.
“Wha-What are you gonna do to me…?” Dimentio asked, the fear very noticeable in his voice.
“So many things…” Luigi whispered. His mind was rushing with ideas, some violent, some sexual, most were both.
Luigi raised Dimentio’s hands to stay above his head, and reached his own head down to Dimentio’s chest. Dimentio closed his eyes, dreading what's about to come next.
Luigi’s lips met Dimentio’s chest, and the gentle kiss quickly turned into a loving bite.
Dimentio let out a noise that was somewhere between a whimper and a gasp.
Luigi continued, trailing his lips and teeth all across Dimentio’s bare torso.
All Dimentio could do was whimper, gasp, and moan… he’d be lying if he said this was entirely awful.
“Your sounds are so… enticing.” Luigi mumbled as he finally pulled away.
Dimentio was speechless, this experience left him feeling things he’s never felt before. “Mmhh…” is all that escaped his mouth.
“Hm… craving more, little toy? Don't worry…” Luigi’s hands glided down to the end of Dimentio’s clothes, and he lifted them up. His hands started to wander over Dimentio’s upper legs and thighs as he leaned down and kissed his chest, right on his heart, feeling every single heartbeat on his lips.
Chapter 2: Different Dimensions (literally)
Chapter Text
“MAGOLOR!!” Marx flew into Magoland, and with a swirl, he entered the back office.
“Good morning, love…” Magolor rubbed his eyes, visibly tired.
Marx landed on a chair, it nearly fell from the sudden movement. “You need to sleep more, idiot.” he said teasingly.
“I had to work on the new games, not all of us are unemployed, Marx.” Magolor took a sip of his coffee and pushed a couple of papers aside, a blue pen rolled off the table. He picked it up with a loud groan.
There’s a knock at the door. A Waddle Dee wearing a staff hat walked in with a sealed letter in his hand. It threw the letter on the table, “Wanya!” it called.
“Thanks, Bill!” Magolor grabbed the letter.
The Waddle Dee left and shut the door behind it.
“What is it?” Marx leaned forward, his eyes glittering with curiosity.
Magolor reads the back of the envelope, “huh, it's from Meta Knight.” he turned it back around and opened it.
“Doesn't he hate you?” Marx raised an eyebrow. Leaning further forward, his wings on the table, trying to see the letter.
“...Yeah.” Magolor took the letter out of the envelope. his eyes rushed over the text, reading quickly.
Marx jumped up and down in his chair, not having any patience. He was humming a nervous tune, unable to stand the mystery.
Magolor’s gaze ran over the neatly written words, taking in every single letter with care. “We… We need to go to Castle Dedede. Now.” he pushed the letter into a drawer and rushed out the door.
“Mag? Magolor, what's up?” Marx followed close behind.
“Someone summoned the Master Crown, and it was forced on some poor Waddle Doo, it’s hurting Kirby, and King Dedede is missing. It… gained more power somehow.” Magolor explained as he led Marx onto the Starcutter.
“Oh?” Marx didn't seem very concerned, he was more interested in who brought back the Master Crown, and how it gained more power.
“Marx, if you aren't going to help us, just stay here.” Magolor said as the ship rose into the air.
“No, no! I’ll help!” Marx assured him, though it wasn't clear if he was sarcastic or not.
A large, dark purple portal opened up in front of the Starcutter and sucked it in quickly.
“What the hell?!” Magolor exclaimed as he frantically pressed buttons, trying to get the ship back to Popstar.
Marx’s eyes widened as he recognized the interdimensional portal that trapped them, Dimentio was taking them to the paper dimension. But why would he take Magolor too? Dimentio barely knows anything about him, other than the crown incident.
“Mag, stop, stop!” Marx grabbed Magolor’s hands.
“What are you doing? We’re being kidnapped!”
“No, we’re not, I know where we’re going, let it happen.”
“What about Kirby..?”
“He’ll live, he always does somehow.”
Magolor stepped away from the monitor and controls, “he will run out of luck eventually…”
“I doubt it.” Marx rolled his eyes.
“Where are we going?” Magolor turned to face the spherical jester.
“To the second dimension!”
“What?” Magolor was dumbfounded.
“No, seriously, Dim lives in the paper world or whatever, everything is 2D. It's pretty neat.” Marx smiled, his little fangs peaking through his lips.
“Marx, we’re not 2D, how does that make sense?” Magolor rested his hands on his sides, trying to make sense of his husband’s words.
“The world is built by 2D stuff, but it is technically 3D, just a lot more complicated.” Marx explained with a sigh.
“Huh…”
“Yeah!!” Marx squeaked.
With a flash of white, the Lor arrived at a flat world.
“Welcome to the Paper Dimension!” Marx exclaimed as the ship crashed onto the grassy hills of the Mushroom Kingdom. Several energy spheres rolled out of the walls.
“Huh. Well, this is new!” Marx said as he stepped out.
“New?”
“Usually I meet him in the void!” Marx chuckled.
“This place seems nice, I doubt that's here.”
“Yeah, this is probably the red guy’s home! The MUSHROOM KINGDOM!!! Weird, I thought it’d be more like Dream Land.”
“‘Mushroom Kingdom’… that doesn't sound very encouraging.” Magolor looked around at the kingdom spread in front of them, and the small creatures that were running around, the toads, little mushroom people.
“It's not!” Marx ran into the town, Magolor following to keep him out of trouble.
A purple toad spotted them, and walked up, “hello!”
“Hey little guy, do you happen to know where we could find ‘Mario’?” Marx asked the purple toad.
The toad thought for a second before answering, “I think he lives by the castle! Do you want me to take you to him?” the toad asked.
Marx nodded enthusiastically. Magolor wasn't very happy with the idea.
The toad signaled them to follow it. And they did.

The key twisted in the door, making a small click sound.
“Luigi?” Mario walked into his house and threw his keys onto the table. “I'm home!” he called, trying to find his brother with his eyes as he walked into the living room.
“Mario? I’ll be there in a moment.” Luigi’s voice was more monotone than usual.
Mario raised an eyebrow, noticing the change in his brother’s voice. He sat on the couch and put his hand comfortably on the armrest.
After a few long minutes, Luigi walked in, wearing a fresh set of clothes, “welcome back, bro.” he said as he sat on the couch, his voice still lacking any hint of actual excitement or care.
“You feelin’ alright, Lu? You sound.. Uhh… odd.” Mario noted, leaning on the side of the couch and looking his brother up and down. He noticed some new Thunderhand scars on his hands, “Luigi, what's that?” he pointed to his hands.
Luigi brought his own hands up, he looked at them for a moment before rolling his eyes, “panic incident” he said with a bit of irritation.
Mario wasn't convinced, and it showed very clearly on his face. They both sat in silence before Mario broke it, “alright, I believe you, just be careful next time.” he said, thinking of adventuring rather than a small panic accident.
“Got i-” Luigi was cut off by a guttural scream from the guest room down the hall. His eyes widened, not with shock or fear, but with anger. He ordered Dimentio to stay quiet, that little brat will pay for this.
Mario jumped from his seat and ran to the guest room, Luigi tried to stop him, but failed.
“HELP ME!!” Dimentio screamed, his whole body was hurting.
Mario hurried to open the door, nearly tearing it out of its hinges, but stopped dead in his tracks when he realized who was sitting chained up before him.
Luigi stood behind Mario, his glare at the jester was deadly, it silenced his screaming in an instant.
“D-Dimentio…?” Mario’s voice was almost a whisper, he was visibly horrified.
Dimentio didn't speak, his eyes were fixated on Luigi, and Luigi’s eyes were fixated on him.
The jester’s body was full of lightning-shaped scars. All were fresh.
“What… happened here…?” Mario stepped closer. Dimentio flinched. Mario stepped back.
“Mario, I think it's time to leave.” Luigi’s voice was cold and commanding, nothing like what Mario has ever heard from his own little bro.
Mario turned around, “what?” He was alarmed by his brother’s blunt tone.
“I think you should leave the jester alone. This isn't anything to worry about, my beloved brother.” Luigi almost sounded sarcastic calling Mario that.
“What the hell’s gotten into you, Luigi?” Mario pushed his leg back a bit, he was getting ready to pounce on the man in green, and whatever’s gotten into him.
“Dimentio did!” Luigi responded with a wide smile and a cheerful tone.
“What- What are you…-?” Mario was nothing but confused.
“Get out, Mario. Or you might get yourself… badly hurt.” Luigi’s tone returned to its cold state, this time with a hint of aggression.
“I-I'm not leaving until you explain!” Mario shook his head to snap himself out of the confusion.
Luigi rolled his eyes with an angered sigh, “then, I'm not sorry for what happens next.”
Mario found himself in a readied pose, his fists up.
Luigi’s fists, however, were still slumped at his side. They started to glow green, that's when he raised them into the air, too.
With a flash of green and a loud crack of thunder, a string of lightning hit Mario’s upper torso. He let out a scream, this was unlike any pain he’s felt before. He could feel it run down his body, the electricity causing his muscles to twitch. Every place the electricity travelled in Mario’s body, was left with a tingling feeling. It was painful. He could feel it burning him from the inside. He was dead silent. His eyes filled with tears, he didn't dare to let them fall.
Dimentio shut his eyes tight, he couldn't watch. The one person who was able to save him… instantly defeated. He felt his shaking get worse. Hearing the electricity crackle, it made him relive his own electrocution. He could feel a phantom feeling of the lightning travelling down his body. It made him want to scream, but he knew that would just worsen his situation.
“Do I need to be clearer?” Luigi’s voice was as cold as ice, his tone condescending and dripping with disrespect.
“N-no…” Mario dragged himself out of the room. Out of the house. He needed to get help, and he needed to heal.
Luigi turned to Dimentio, “you little fucking slut!” He grabbed Dimentio by the back of his hair and pulled on it so he was forced to face him.
Dimentio didn't dare to make a sound, despite the immense amounts of pain he was in. He had to stop his own breathing to be able to stay quiet.
“I swear on everything, if you try something like that again, I’ll tear your limbs out of your body! One by one.” Luigi was obviously enraged, and he was going to make Dimentio pay for trying to escape him. He let go of his hair and took a deep, frustrated breath. He ran his gloved fingers through his own hair, pushing his hat up a bit.
“I-I’m sorry…-”
“STOP TALKING.” Luigi snapped.
Dimentio curled on the floor, feeling so small and scared. He was terrified of how he’ll be punished. And he knew it would be even more painful.
Just then, there was a knock on the front door.

Chapter 4: Don't Jest in Hell
Chapter Text
“Stay here, and don't you dare to even think about trying this trick again.” Luigi scowled before leaving the guest bedroom. His slow pace across the living room was careful. He stopped in front of the front door.
“HELLOOO~~??? IS ANYBODY HOME???” an ear wrecking voice called from the other side. It was awful, worse than nails on a chalkboard.
Luigi opened the door, and quickly put on a very fake smile. That smile quickly turned into confused frustration when he saw the two creatures in front of him; a floating egg-shaped thing with cat ears and a purple ball with wings and a jester hat. Magolor and Marx.
“Can I help you?” Luigi raised an eyebrow in suspicion.
“We are here to see the great big hero ‘Mario’! HEEHEEHEEHEEEHAHAHAHAHA!!!” Marx’s deranged giggle turned into a laugh.
Luigi squinted his eyes at Marx.
Magolor sighed, “sorry about him,” he started, “he doesn't talk to many people.”
Luigi slowly nodded, not really understanding what the hell was happening.
“We are looking for a way back to our dimension, and we assumed Mario could help.” Magolor finally explained.
Luigi leaned on the door frame, “Mario isn't home at the moment.” His tone was slightly frustrated.
Magolor sighed again. Marx flew high in the air using his boney wings. Magolor didn't question it, and Luigi didn't mention it.
“I guess we'll leave then..?” Magolor turned around.
Luigi hummed and closed the door.
There was a loud BAM!
Luigi ran to the guest room, to check if Dimentio was still there.
To his surprise, there was a big hole in the wall. Next to the huge hole stood Marx, with pieces of a bob-omb in his hand and a big, cat-like smile on his face. Luigi clenched his fists. Dimentio was standing, his knees weak, behind Marx, the chains still weighing on his scarred body, but not keeping him bound to the room.
Luigi's fists lit up with green lightning, he was angry.
Dimentio curled up behind Marx.
“Oh no you won't!!” Marx broke into a laugh and then threw up a bowling ball. The bowling ball fell to the floor and cracked the flooring a bit, but it didn't damage Luigi at all. Magolor, who just arrived, facepalmed.
Luigi raised his glowing hands.
The light emitting from the lightning bolts was so bright that it lit up the entire town. The screams of the three creatures echoed loudly through the house and street. It was burning them from the inside out.
Dimentio, Marx, and Magolor all hit the grassy floor of the Underwhere.
“N-no… not again…” Dimentio whispered, instantly recognizing the place.
“Uh… where.. Are we?” Magolor looked around at the dark realm.
“The Underwhere…” Dimentio stood up.
Marx chuckled.
“The afterlife of our dimension.”
Marx’s wings slumped behind him, “haha… what?”
“We’re dead.” Dimentio took a few steps forward, approaching a Shayde. “Hello, could you point us to Jaydes’ castle?”
The Shayde jumped in place, “you're Dimentio! Ohhh~~! I'm gonna be rich!!”
“What are you talking about?” Dimentio straightened his back.
The Shayde smirked, “dont worry about it, follow me! Her Majesty’s castle is just up ahead.”
The group exchanged confused looks, but followed the Shayde anyways.
After a few minutes, they arrived at a pretty fancy castle, decorated in gold and silver. There was a short girl Nimbi with her hair tied into a bun and beautiful white wings roaming outside the castle. Dimentio was sure to look away, not wanting to get in trouble with Jaydes’ daughter.
The Shayde led them inside.
“Ah, Dimentio. I was wondering how long it would take to find a criminal like you.” Queen Jaydes crossed her hands.
“Ooh!! Seems like you have FANS, Dim!! HAHAHAHA!!” Marx laughed.
“And who might these two be?” the Queen asked.
“My name is Magolor, and the other is Marx. we arrive from another dimension. We should not be here, your majesty.” Magolor bowed. He wasn't sure who the Queen was, but he had respect for anyone in a position of power.
“Hm. you do seem to be a different kind of creature…” She scanned them with her eyes. “I shall let you both out. Be sure to return to your world.”
“We aint leaving without Dim, miss queen.” Marx flapped his wings with a huff, he was being a bit over-dramatic.
“He is a criminal of the Underwhere, he is a dead being from our world, he needs to stay.”
“We need him out there with us, your majesty, he is the only one we know that can guide us back to our dimension.” Magolor explained.
“How so? With those chains on him, he is unable to do any magic, except for making himself float.”
“Jaydes, just let me out. It's not like I can cause chaos again.” Dimentio walked a few steps closer.
“I am not bending the rules for anyone, especially not a known outlaw such as yourself. No, and that's final. If you refuse to leave without Dimentio, you will stay.” Queen Jaydes huffed.
Magolor began walking out, but quickly noticed the others were not following.
“You heard her, let's leave her alone.” Magolor said, waving his hand for the others to come.
Marx’s eyes lit up, he had an idea. “Yeah, yep!” he flapped his wings, rose into the air, and followed Magolor out. Dimentio reluctantly followed behind.
“So what now?” Dimentio asked, a hint of melancholy in his voice.
“We escape!” Marx twirled in the air.
“How do you suppose we do that?” Magolor asked, jumping over a rock.
“BOMBS!!” Marx laughed, “this whole thing is just a bunch of PAPER! And you, Mag, have endless bombs!! Just explode the background and we could escape!!”
“Huh. I never thought of breaking any wall. Except the fourth, of course.” Dimentio shrugged.
“That might take a while. I hadnt used my bombs in a while, I might have to gain enough magic points again.” Magolor fidgeted with the end of his cape.
“Well, there’s lots to kill here!” Marx spun around again.
“Hm. and they respawn too, considering they are already dead.” Dimentio smiled, “this could work…”
Magolor wasn't as enthusiastic about it. The last time he used the bombs, he was fighting the Master Crown. “A-Alright… what if that doesn't work?”
“We’ll burn that bridge when we get there!!” Marx answered.
“Don't you mean ‘cross’?”
“No I do not!! Still paper, Mags.”
“Right.”
Dimentio chuckled at the interaction between the two.
Magolor sighed and approached a Shayde, mumbling a soft ‘sorry’ under his breath before launching a magic ball at it.
Dimentio smiled, Marx was flapping his wings happily.
As Magolor gained more and more magic points, Dimentio and Marx talked.
“So… I see your relationship is going well.” Dimentio opened.
“Actually, he’s not my boyfriend anymore.” Marx faked sadness.
Dimentio nearly choked on his own spit.
“Marx!! That's an awful way to tell him we’re married!!” Magolor shouted to them, launching another magic attack to an unsuspecting Shayde.
Marx burst out laughing.
Dimentio let out a long sigh, a smile on his face, “you're an idiot.”
“Thank you, I try.” Marx giggled.
After a long while, Magolor came back to the two, “I think I'm ready.”
“Great!” Marx launched himself into the air.
“Wonderful.” Dimentio tried to get up, but he stumbled, and fell.
“Dim? You good?” Marx raised an eyebrow.
“I'm fine.” Dimentio leaned on a tree to stand up.
“Are you sure?” Magolor asked, a bit concerned.
“Yes, I'm sure.” Dimentio looked… sick.
“If you say so…” Marx said, exchanging a concerned look with Magolor.
“We should go to Twygz, the other side of it should have a door leading to Flipside hidden behind the background.” Dimentio started to float, his legs disconnecting from the ground.
The others nodded.
“Lead the way.” Magolor took a few steps back to let Dimentio pass.
The three walked to the dark river with Dimentio slowly leading in the front.
Marx seemed to be very concerned at Dimentio's slow pace and weak form, but he didn't ask him again.
In front of them was spread a purple river with bone-like hand creatures swimming deep in it. “I say we float over it. Shouldn't be an issue. Marx, you could grab Magolor with your claws and bring him along.” Dimentio suggested a plan.
Marx nodded, and turned to whisper to Magolor, “keep your eyes on him, Mag.”
Magolor nodded and turned to Dimentio, “sounds good.”
The three started to float above the water, Marx held Magolor tight by his hands. Dimentio floated lower and lower… and lower, his feet touching the water. Magolor wiggled his fingers and a pink disc appeared under Dimentio, carrying him alongside them.
“I don't need your help!” Dimentio felt embarrassed.
“You're sick, or tired, or something. You need our help. And we’re helping you no matter what.” Magolor sounded like a parent scolding a child.
Dimentio rolled his eyes with a frustrated growl. He crossed his hands and frowned.
“Don't feel bad, Dim, we all have bad days!” Marx smiled.
Magolor hummed, “Wow, that was actually very sweet, Mar-”
“Except for me, of course! I never have bad days!” Marx giggled.
Dimentio huffed, he shouldn't have expected any actual advice or comfort from Marx.
“Anyways, we’re here!!” Marx dropped Magolor on the grass.
“Oof-” Magolor’s face hit the ground. He quickly recovered.
“It should be here somewhere, just blast the background.” Dimentio stood up from the magic disc as it faded away.
“Got it.” Magolor said, jumping into the air and sending magical bombs down. Marx and Dimentio took a step back.
Dimentio found himself barely able to stand, he leaned on Marx for support, and the little jester wrapped his wing around him to help keep him stable.
Within a few minutes, the paper composing the background was damaged enough for the door hidden behind it to be accessible.
“Okay… we should buy a mushroom or something at Flipside, I don't think I can… Keep going like this.” Dimentio said as Magolor floated over to help him too.
Marx hummed in agreement, and the three walked through the door.
Chapter 5: Villain or Hero?
Chapter Text
Luigi closed the door behind him, he was out on a walk, trying to figure out how to get Dimentio back at his side, and how to get him to be as obedient as a dog.
Very quickly, it became obvious Luigi wasn't going to finish his walk as intended. A big purple portal appeared in front of him, it was vaguely star shaped.
“What the hell…?” Luigi mumbled, but he was definitely curious.
The portal sucked him in. He tried to hold on to something, but the portal was stronger.
“Poyo?” a small, pink, spherical creature tilted his head at Luigi as he hit the floor.
“Ow!” Luigi called, sitting upright. “Ah-!” Luigi let out a small scream seeing Kirby so close to him.
“Poyo!” Kirby jumped in place.
“Kirby, there you are! We need you to help, that Waddle Doo is too strong.” Meta Knight ran closer.
“Poyo! Poyo!” Kirby’s tiny hands pointed at Luigi.
“Where am I?” Luigi was annoyed more than anything.
“You are in Dream Land, Popstar.” Meta Knight held his sword a bit tighter, not exactly trusting the human in front of him.
“Are you having problems? What's a Waddle Doo?” Luigi raised an eyebrow.
“A type of creature. We are having some trouble, yes. It’s got a powerful magic artifact using it for destruction.” Meta Knight sighed.
“Poyo!” Kirby added.
“Yes, it's hurting people.” Meta Knight acknowledged Kirby’s addition.
“I could help. I'm pretty powerful, and it seems like you need it.” Luigi shrugged, a plan forming in his head.
“No, we have this under contro-” Meta Knight was cut off by a swarm of Waddle Dees running away from an explosion. “On second thought, we could use *some* assistance.”
Luigi nodded and got up, ready to be led to battle by the sphere creatures.
Meta Knight launched into the air and signaled Luigi and Kirby to follow.
Castle Dedede was in ruins, and Bandana Waddle Dee was just barely able to keep the crowned Waddle Doo from destroying him too.
“Poyo!!” Kirby inhaled a regular Waddle Doo that was nearby.
Meta Knight sighed, “Kirby, you need to use more abilities than just Beam.” Meta Knight scolded.
“Poyo.” Kirby responded with a huff.
Luigi was deeply confused, not understanding a single word of what Kirby was saying.
Meta Knight turned to Luigi, “Alright, stranger-”
“Luigi. That's my name.”
“...Luigi… that's what we need to get rid of. The crown.” Meta Knight pointed to the crowned Waddle Doo, Kirby was running towards it.
“On it.” Luigi’s hands started glowing green, and he joined Kirby and Bandana Dee, Meta Knight joining shortly after.
Very quickly, the Waddle Doo was defeated. Luigi’s Thunderhand was more helpful than the others initially thought.
“Wanya!” Bandana Dee called happily.
“Poyo!!” Kirby cheered as well.
“Good work, Luigi.” Meta Knight reached his hand out to Luigi.
Luigi shook Meta Knight’s hand, “Thanks.”
“Kirby, what should we do with the crown?” Meta Knight picked it up from the ground.
“Poyo…” Kirby’s hands slumped to his side, he was thinking.
“Wanya?” Bandana Dee suggested.
“That's a great idea.” Meta Knight nodded.
“What are you going to do with it?” Luigi asked with confusion, unsure how Meta Knight understood the other two.
“We’ll be putting it in the royal storage of King Dedede.” Meta Knight clarified.
“Huh… well…” Luigi raised his hand, “that just wont Doo.”
“Poy-?” Kirby was cut off by a bolt of lightning hitting him and Bandana Dee.
“I knew it.” Meta Knight jumped in front of Kirby, ready to protect him.
“Hand over the crown.” Luigi put his hand out.
“Never!” Meta Knight shouted.
“Stupid little spheres.” Luigi launched another thunder at the gang. This time, Meta Knight managed to absorb most of it, letting out a loud groan.
“Poyo!” Kirby was clearly distressed.
Bandana Dee tried to fight back, but he was grabbed by Luigi and thrown aside, too weak and tired to get up.
Meta Knight raised his sword. Luigi attacked again. Meta Knight’s sword acted as a lightning rod, diverting the lightning from Kirby.
“Poy- poyo…!” Kirby tried to push Meta Knight away so he’d stop getting hurt, but he insisted on shielding Kirby.
“If you don't hand over the crown, I will end you.” Luigi was serious. He was ready to fight for the power of the crown.
Meta Knight growled, “you're no stronger than other foes I've bested.” he swung his sword.
Luigi dodged, grabbing the edge of the sword with his hand. Electricity travelled down the sword and met Meta Knight again.
This time, it was strong enough to cause Meta Knight to lose consciousness. Luigi grabbed the crown and used this moment of shock to run away.
Luigi found a portal similar to the one that brought him here, he quickly jumped in, crown in hand.
He found himself in Flipside. A wide smile spread on his face, remembering the door to the Underwhere, he could easily retrieve Dimentio now.
He placed the crown on his head, on his hat. His blue denim overalls darkened, turning as black as the void. His eyes turned a bright white. The L on his hat flipped as the white circle surrounding it turned black.
He was much stronger now, and he was eager to get his pet jester back.
Chapter 6: Craving You
Chapter Text
Marx and Magolor placed Dimentio on the floor outside of Howzit’s shop.
“30 coins, buy a shroom shake.” Dimentio whispered, much weaker than before.
“Got it. Mags, got the coins?” Marx turned to Magolor, who was counting the coins in his pocket.
“Yeah, I think that's enough.” Magolor said before walking into Howzit’s shop, dragging Marx with him.
“Be quick… please…” Dimentio felt himself start to shiver. With his shirt still torn open, it was getting quite cold.
He closed his eyes, his whole body was aching, and chains around his wrists were heavy. If only Queen Jaydes had listened… he could have been freed. He felt weak and useless, ashamed and deprecated by Luigi’s actions. His knees folded into his chest. He felt like he was about to cry, he was in so much pain…
Loud footsteps approached, before stopping. Dimentio looked up. To his surprise, Luigi (who seemed a bit surprised too) was standing in front of him, a beautiful gold crown resting on his hat. He looked like some amalgamation of Luigi and Mr. L. it made Dimentio’s stomach turn.
“Well, look who’s here.” Luigi placed a hand on his own hip.
“L-Luigi…” Dimentio tried to get up and run, but his body wouldn't move.
“Look at you… so weak and pathetic. Do you seriously need me that much?” Luigi laughed.
“Leave me alone…” Dimentio’s attempt to sound intimidating was useless.
“How about I light a fire in you?” Luigi leaned forward and grabbed Dimentio’s chained hands.
“Please… go away…” Dimentio whispers, his eyes filling up with tears.
Luigi chuckles, pulling Dimentio to stand and lean on him.
The touch of their bodies, the contact, the connection… It made Dimentio’s body light up. In almost a second, he wasn't as weak anymore.
Luigi dragged Dimentio away, to his house, the jester was still too weak to fight back.
Magolor and Marx were just leaving the shop with a Shroom Shake when Dimentio and Luigi entered an elevator.
“M-Marx… is that what i think it is…?” Magolor’s voice trembled, recognizing the Master Crown on Luigi’s head.
“Does it matter? He has Dimentio!” Marx was pissed. He just bought an overpriced Shroom Shake for nothing.
Magolor felt a chill running down his spine, remembering how he felt under the crown’s influence, the toxic hate that was spiralling inside his soul, controlling him like a mindless puppet.
Luigi pushed Dimentio on the bed in the main bedroom.
Dimentio could do nothing but whimper, which just lit up Luigi more.
“We need to find a solution… to your little antics… maybe if people knew who you belonged to… They’d know to return you right back to me!” Luigi took something small out of a drawer and sat on Dimentio’s lower stomach.
Dimentio was terrified, how was Luigi going to mark him? He hoped it wasn't going to be painful. That hope quickly faded when he saw what Luigi was holding; a lighter.
“Stay quiet.” Luigi said, lighting a small stick on fire.
Dimentio swallowed hard, shutting his eyes tight, preparing himself to feel the fire.
He could feel the fire burning through his bare chest, over his heart. It was tracing an ‘L’ shape over and over again. And then, next to it, a heart shape. He wanted to scream, he bit his lip, knowing if he would, it would hurt so much worse. All of this, for some strange reason, made him feel less weak, and a lot stronger.
“You're doing so well, Dimentio…” Luigi finally lifted the fire from Dimentio’s chest and put it out.
Dimentio finally opened his eyes, he was panting loudly, the fresh burns on his chest were unbearably painful.
“Now everyone will know who you belong to, little clown.” Luigi straightened his back. It was crushing Dimentio’s bones. He whimpered.
“Stop teasing me with those sounds…” Luigi smiled wide, his intentions clearly dark. The gem on the crown blinked.
Dimentio shivered and went silent, his breathing still heavy.
Luigi’s white eyes were staring at Dimentio’s quivering lips. He decided he had enough, he leaned down.
Their lips connected. Dimentio’s eyes widened. Luigi’s eyes were shut tight.
Dimentio did not fight against it, his eyes slowly closed as well. He didn't know why but… this kiss was so empowering to him. Despite the objectification, he felt so perfectly placed. Was this his true destiny? Surely not. This is just some momentary feeling from the sudden kiss, it has to be.
Luigi’s lips pulled away from Dimentio’s, but the jester longed for more.
“I think we should set some rules for a disobedient little thing like you.” Luigi fixed his posture.
Dimentio hummed in agreement, barely noticing he did.
“Rule number one, attempt to or escape one more time, and I end you.” Luigi said with a wide smile.
Dimentio nodded.
“Rule number two, don't speak unless you're specifically requested to.” Luigi fixed the crown on his head.
Dimentio started to feel more and more like this role was perfect for him, despite all the pain he was in.
“Hmm… rule number three, when referring to me, you may only call me your king, ‘your majesty’ or your owner.” Luigi finished with a satisfied hum.
Dimentio nodded again.
“I guess the last rule for now… listen to every command, or be punished severely.” Luigi brushed his finger across Dimentio’s jawline.
Dimentio leaned towards the touch.
“Heh… already so willing to be my puppet? This was easier than I thought…” Luigi chuckled.
Luigi got up and grabbed something out of the closet, walking back.
“Sit up.” he commanded his new plaything.
“Every good pet has a collar to represent their obedience.” Luigi showed Dimentio the dark green collar in his hand. “Now stay still so I can put it on.”
The collar fit perfectly on Dimentio’s soft skin. Luigi pulled it to be tight around Dimentio’s neck, restricting his breathing, enough to be noticeable, but not enough to cause harm. Dimentio gasped, his gasp choked by the collar.
“There we go… it suits you.” Luigi clipped a chain leash to the collar. “Now…” he leaned in and kissed the burns on Dimentio’s chest.
Dimentio let out a moan, it was more pleasurable than it was painful.
Luigi opened his mouth to speak as he got up, but someone from the living room cut him off.
“Come out here, Luigi, I think we need to talk.” Mario called from the other room.
“This bastard…” Luigi growled with an eye roll, and pulled on Dimentio’s leash, “follow.” He commanded his new pet. And Dimentio did, crawling on his hands and knees.
Mario felt sick seeing Dimentio led like a dog into the room, on the floor, pulled by a leash. He was powered up with a fire flower, and he was ready to fight back this time.
“What do you want, Mr. Jumpsallthetime?” Luigi crossed his arms, the leash still tight in his grip.
Mario was taken aback by the familiar nickname, suddenly noticing the change of outfit, too. “I-I… explain this. All of this. What happened to you? Why are you doing this?” Mario asked, concerned more than anything.
“That's none of your business.” Luigi stepped forward.
“It's not right. Luigi, you've got Dimentio on a leash like a DOG.” Mario took a step forward as well.
“You have no rights over my items. I can do with him as I please.” Luigi growled.
“Stop! Stop calling him your property! Lu, that's a person! You dont own him.” Mario was horrified by the way Luigi was treating Dimentio. Even the evil jester doesn't deserve this. No one does.
“He IS my property. I DO own him. And he knows it.” Luigi was growing more irritated with Mario.
“No, no! That's wrong. Luigi, this isn't you, please…” Mario begged his brother to understand.
Luigi let out a frustrated groan “I'm done with you. Dimentio, end him.”
Dimentio was hesitant for a moment, but he quickly stood up. He pounced on Mario and pinned him to the floor. The fire flower power up made a small noise as Mario was hit and the power was lost.
Mario tried to struggle against Dimentio’s weight, but it was too late.
Dimentio's sharp fangs glittered in the light. With his hands chained up, he only had one option. He dug his teeth into Mario's skin, blood almost instantly escaping. He raised his chained hands to stop Mario from breathing. Mario let out a few choked gasps, trying to fight back but ultimately failing.
Dimentio, now dirty with blood that doesn't belong to him, stepped off from Mario's body, and sat on the floor behind Luigi.
Mario backed off against the wall with panicked pants. He clutched his open chest, he was bleeding out quickly. He couldn't survive this, and he knew it very well. “Whoever you are right now, wherever you are, Luigi… I-I’m sorry I couldn't save you…” Mario whispered as he felt the life fade from his body.
Mario’s lifeless corpse was sitting against the wall inside a pool of his own blood. The air was thick, but Dimentio and Luigi didn't seem to care.
Luigi smiled, “good riddance.” he then pulled Dimentio’s leash, “now, lets go relax, shall we?”
Dimentio nodded with hidden enthusiasm.
Chapter 7: Freedom is a lie
Chapter Text
Magolor rested his back on the wall outside of Howzit’s shop. Marx sat next to him.
“So… at least Kirby isn't dealing with that anymore, hah…” Marx knew how the other felt about the Master Crown’s return.
“If i never did it… none of this would have happened…” Magolor mumbled.
“Oh, come ON, Mags, we all know the crown would’ve found a way to Kirby anyways, that little guy is a dark matter magnet!” Marx huffed.
“No, Landia would have kept it safe, and away from everyone... If I wouldn't have gotten Kirby to fight them, the crown would have still been with them on Halcandra.” Magolor’s hand slid down his face, he was tired, and now his past was coming back. Again.
“Yeah, maybe, but that doesn't mean it’d stay there forever. Landia is mortal, they’d die eventually. Better sooner than later, right?” Marx’s wings fluttered behind him.
“Landia is an ancient red dragon, four of them. Those creatures only die when killed.” Magolor explained as if obvious.
“Oh. oops.” Marx’s wings slumped, realizing he may not know how to comfort his husband.
“Let's just… find a way to get rid of it again.” Magolor got up.
“Wh- uh- okay?” Marx was confused by the sudden change in the conversation. He got up as well.
“They went through this.. Uh… thing.” Magolor said, pointing at the elevator Luigi dragged Dimentio into.
“Yep, yep, I think you press this..” Marx used his claw to press on the elevator’s button.
The doors opened, and the two went inside.
“So… we don't really know where they are, do we? Or where we are.” Marx said as the elevator traveled up.
“they're probably in the house we found them in.” Magolor noted.
“Yeah, in the Mushroom Kingdom, but how do we get there?” Marx said with frustration.
“We could ask the locals…” Magolor suggested as they walked out of the elevator.
“Hm, good idea!” Marx said before approaching a short mustached man wearing a blue robe.
“May I help you, strange creature?” the old man asked.
“We are looking for a way back to the Mushroom Kingdom!!” Marx said with a wide smile.
“The Mushroom Kingdom…? I haven't heard that name in such a long time…”
“Yeah, yeah, old man, we need to get there quickly! Uh… the mighty Super Mario is in trouble and we need to help him!!” Marx said with an obvious lie.
Magolor face palmed.
“Mario is in trouble? Follow me!” The old man led them to a pipe at the end of the tower. The two were surprised the lie worked.
“Jump in, it should lead you right to the castle of the Mushroom Kingdom.” The old man pointed to the red pipe.
Magolor hummed with skepticism. He was very unsure about this, it seemed almost delusional to think that a random pipe could transfer him elsewhere. Marx thanked the old man, and jumped right in. Magolor, wanting to keep Marx out of trouble, followed.
The two dropped on the damp grass in front of a big castle with three pillars. They were back in the Mushroom Kingdom.
“Come on! We gotta find them!” Marx shouted, trying to see where the Mario Bros' house was.
Luigi pushed Dimentio against the wall with a passionate kiss.
Dimentio let out a small moan.
“Heh… you're so much more… fun when you obey your king…” Luigi chuckled between kisses.
Dimentio's face filled with deep purple blush as he pushed his tounge into Luigi's mouth.
Luigi pushed himself onto Dimentio, crushing him against the wall.
The jester didn't fight back anymore, instead, he was making endless sounds of pleasure. He felt like his soul was ascending to the Overthere. Feeling the other's mouth attached to his, their tongues battling.
Dimentio wanted to tear off his clothes and feel more of Luigi inside him, but he knew he had to keep it calm, he couldn't order his king to do anything. He's the pet, the puppet. Puppets don't make requests, they just stay quiet and let themselves be played with.
After a long while of their lips connecting and disconnecting with quick succession, Luigi finally took a few steps back and pushed Dimentio to his knees.
Dimentio's head was inches from Luigi's thighs.
“I think every good pet should be rewarded for its good behavior and obedience…” Luigi said, his hand trailing over his black overalls. “Sadly, my little lifeless doll, I'm still not done punishing you for what you've done.” He grabbed the back of Dimentio's hair, pulling so hard that a few hairs break. The sinister smile on his face is as wide as it can get.
Dimentio whimpered loudly, but he was excited to find out what punishments he had in store. Perhaps he would be marked some more? Electrocuted again? Whatever it was, he knew it would be as enjoyable as much as it would be painful. Anything coming from his owner is a blessing, and those blessings are oh so addictive.
Dimentio nodded.
Luigi chuckled, “then let's see… I've already marked you, burned you. And I've already put my Thunderhand to use…” he circled around Dimentio, looking him up and down like a large animal looking down at its small, frail prey. The crown blinked. “...hmmm…” he tapped his chin.
Dimentio couldn't wait much longer, he could feel himself start to shake from anticipation.
“Oh, who am I kidding, I know exactly what to do with a disobedient pet like you!” Luigi laughed.
Chapter 8: The Fog Fades.
Notes:
Sorry for being a few hours late with this chapter! I wasn't home. Enjoy!!
Chapter Text
Dimentio, laying on the floor, surrounded by some of his own pink blood, was in a high, the pain running through his newly reopened wounds was like a sweet curse.
Luigi was sitting on the bed, next to him was a dagger filled with the same pink blood. The dagger was a beautiful, shiny silver with several green gems decorating it.
Luigi opened his mouth to speak, but was instantly interrupted by the front door blowing up.
“What the hell?!” Luigi got up and fixed his overalls. He looked to the door, and it was clear he was more disappointed than surprised.
“I'M BACK, BITCHES!!!” Marx flew into the house, trying to find Dimentio.
Dimentio pushed himself up to sit, he looked around, he needed to hide. There is no way Marx or Magolor would understand.
Magolor floated in, and used a magic disc to trap Luigi in a corner.
“Dimen!!” Marx grabbed onto what's left of Dimentio's clothes.
“Marx, no!” Dimentio's voice was a bit raspy, he hadn't spoken in a while. He pushed Marx to the floor, and Marx hit the ground with a loud thud and a slight crack on the floor.
“OW!! WHAT THE HELL?!” Marx flew upwards, but not much, his right wing was bruised.
“You two need to leave! Now!” Dimentio was clearly panicked, but not for the reason Marx or Magolor thought.
“We're not leaving you here, Dimentio!” Magolor called from the other room, struggling to keep Luigi in place.
“You'll get someone hurt, leave!” Dimentio hissed.
“You're hurt, you idiot, and you're clearly brainwashed or something, let me get you out!!” Marx reached out his claw to Dimentio again.
“Don't you dare…” Luigi launched a lightning bolt at Magolor, breaking his focus and sending him right into the opposite wall.
“Mag-!” Marx shouted before quickly turning to Luigi, his expression was far beyond enraged. “I'M DONE WITH YOU, YOU STUPID FUCKING NOBODY!!” Marx rose into the air, dashing to the living room.
“M-Marx, don't!” Dimentio fell forward in an attempt to catch him.
Marx's body split in half, his bright blue blood dripping to the floor. A black hole appeared behind the two halves of the jester. The black hole, with an incredible vacuum power, tore the crown from Luigi's head, and sucked it in.
Luigi screamed in pain, the crown left deep cuts on his forehead, cheeks, and neck.
The room was silent, except for Dimentio's heavy breathing and Marx's wings fighting to keep him in the air.
“Marx…?” Magolor asked hesitantly.
“M-Mag… I can't… reconnect myself…” Marx was a bit scared.
Finally, Luigi stumbled back, his mind clearing from the crown's control. His eyes flickered back to their real color. His hat returned to its original form, but his clothes stayed the same. He gripped his own head as he realized everything that was happening, what he had done, what he had made others do. He felt his stomach turn. He felt like he was going to throw up. He could hear his breathing quicken as his heartbeat picked up speed.
Dimentio was staring with fear, was he going to lose the one thing that made him feel alive? He hoped Luigi would still treat him like a mindless puppet.
Magolor noticed the tension, and figured it's best to stay out. If Dimentio wanted to stay, then so be it, but he wasn't letting Marx get hurt in the process. He grabbed onto both of Marx's wings and ran out the broken door.
“M-Mag?! Magolor, slow down-!” Marx finally regained his composure.
“I need to stitch you back together, Marx, you're bleeding all over.” Magolor set both of Marx's halves under a tree, hidden from the Mushroom people.
“I-I’ll be fine.. are *you* okay? That green guy electrocuted you!”
“I've been through worse, I promise I'll live. Sadly, you might not if I don't hurry.” Magolor waved his hand and a sewing kit appeared. “That's… not what I need.” He waved his hand again and the sewing kit was replaced with a medical sewing kit, “here we go. Stay still, this will hurt.” He pushed one half of Marx onto the other, and started sewing his husband back together.
“I’m sorry, Mags, I should've thought before I did things I just… I saw him hurt you and it made me need to hurt him back, and I know I'm trying to be better and stuff, but you were clearly in pain and i-” Marx's rambles were stopped.
“Shhh…” Magolor said as he continued sewing, “...You have nothing to apologize for, love, you did the right thing.”
“S-So… you're not mad at me?” Marx seemed confused.
“Why would I be? You probably just saved my life…” Magolor chuckled.
“Huh…”
“Why are you surprised that I'm not angry?”
“Usually everyone gets mad at me when I do things without thinking. When I do anything, really.” Marx sighed.
Magolor hummed, “that's not right… you may have made mistakes before but you don't deserve to be treated like that… next time that happens, could you tell me?” Magolor moved Marx a bit to continue stitching his back.
“Y-Yeah.” Marx raised his bruised wing to wipe a tear forming in his eye.
“Awh, love, don't cry… it's okay..” Magolor finished stitching, and embraced Marx in his arms.
“N-No one's ever told me anything l-like that… I… I am so glad I found you…” Marx sobbed into Magolor's chest.
“Hmmm…” Magolor stroked the other's stitched back, “let it all out… I'm here now, and I'm not ever leaving again…”
“M-My king…?” Dimentio whispered, not wanting to break a rule, but still concerned for his owner.
“N-no… I-I’m not a king… y-your king… I'm sorry… I am horrible…” Luigi sank to the floor.
“No…” Dimentio sat at the door to the bedroom, his eyes were fixed on Luigi's panicked form.
“I hurt you… I made you hurt Mario… M-Mario… Mario…” Luigi repeated his brother's name, trying to wrap his head around the fact his own twin brother is dead, and it's entirely his fault.
“My k- L-Luigi… I promise, it was necessary… for… for us…!” Dimentio didn't want things to change now. He needed to feel Luigi cut through him again.
“No! Dimentio, I'm hurting you…! It's not right… Mario was right… and he… he's…” Luigi couldn't finish his sentence, he couldn't bring himself to admit his brother was gone. A few tears rushed down his face.
Dimentio felt his heart flip, this is horrible, Luigi is back to normal. “You're not hurting me… I-I like it… I love it… I need it… please…” Dimentio's voice was almost a whisper.
Luigi shut his eyes tight as the tears kept running down, he couldn't comprehend anything right now, the thoughts in his mind were swirling around violently, attacking anything positive that was left.
Dimentio couldn't do anything, he just sat there, leaning against the doorframe of the bedroom.
Chapter 9: Who am I? Why am I?
Chapter Text
Dimentio was sitting on the floor of the bedroom, his chained hands set comfortably on his wounded legs. Luigi was sitting on the bed next to him, his crying having calmed down.
“D-Dimentio…” Luigi says before getting up, and grabbing Dimentio's hands.
Dimentio hoped he was going to be punished, but he knew it wasn't the case. Luigi fought with the chains for a bit, and then slipped them off Dimentio's hands, quickly doing the same for the collar.
“My- uh. Luigi… what… why… why did you-?” Dimentio didn't want the chains off. He learned to like them. And the collar? It marked him as his owner's property, he didn't want it off either.
“You don't deserve those chains, you suffered enough..” Luigi threw the chains on the floor on the other side of the bed, sitting back down.
Dimentio crawled closer, “please… tell me you're joking. Or testing me. Luigi, I need those chains, I need the collar. I'm yours, play me, please, my body belongs to you…” Dimentio's voice cracked.
“No… you're your own person, I've done enough damage. Go, be free.” Luigi waved over to the door.
“Luigi, please… I need to feel the pain you know I deserve…”
“You don't deserve any more of it, Dimentio, you are bleeding, and you're full of scars, I'm not going to hurt you again.” Luigi crossed his arms, a bit concerned for Dimentio now.
“Please. Please.” Dimentio crawled over and put his hand on Luigi's legs, “chain me up, play with me, tear me apart, rebuild me to be your perfect toy, please, I need to feel you again…” he begged.
Luigi didn't speak or move, he was shocked Dimentio, or anyone, would do something like this… begging to be used for their body, to be hurt, it was terrifying.
“Please…” a single tear ran down Dimentio's face. Rushing over the big bags under his eye and down his cheek.
“I-I'm sorry… I can't…” Luigi finally spoke, after a minute of silence.
Dimentio let out a small sob, a few more tears now running down his face.
Luigi felt bad about all of this. He hurt people. Maybe the Toads were right to not see him as a hero…
After a long silence, Luigi spoke, “Dim-Dimentio…? I can still… love you… but I refuse to hurt you this badly again…”
Dimentio's eyes lit up a bit as he wiped away his tears, “I-I’m not sure I know how to be loved… how to love… without being in pain…”
“I guess… we will both have to relearn the meaning of love…” Luigi sniffled, “but I think… you're someone I'd like to do that with.”
Dimentio could feel new tears choking him from the inside. Someone cares about him, truly, finally. He nodded, “you're someone I'd like to do that with, too…” he sat next to Luigi.
The two sat in silence for a few more moments.
“Would- Would you like me to help you with the wounds…?” Luigi asked to break the silence.
“I…” Dimentio thought for a moment, “maybe later… I still need time…”
“Yeah… there's a lot to… process.” Luigi leaned his head against the wall, closing his eyes.
“I'm sorry for your brother, Luigi.” Dimentio wasn't sarcastic or mocking, he was genuine.
“It's- it's not your fault, Dimentio… But I still appreciate your apology..” Luigi whispered in response.
Marx, trying his hardest to not touch the itchy stitches keeping him together, followed Magolor onto the Lor.
“You sure you know how to go back to Popstar?” Magolor asked, holding a sphere with a small golden gear in it.
“Yeah, I did it a few times before.” Marx said, leaning his against the wall.
Magolor pushed the sphere into the computer’s circuits, “if you say so.”
The computer jumped to life, the screen flashed with a million errors. At least all the parts were still there. Broken, but not scattered around the world.
“Oof, that looks like a lot of damage.” Marx tried to read the errors, but he couldn't read the ancients’ language.
“Not as bad as what Kirby helped fix!” Magolor chuckled nervously, getting up and pressing a few buttons.
“Pfft, I bet. It was kinda genius to get him to fix the ship for you.” Marx giggled.
“It was…- I guess so.” Magolor seemed a lot less enthusiastic about this conversation now.
“I mean, you made him your friend, and then BAM betrayal! Absolutely amazing!!” Marx smiled wide.
“‘Amazing’ isn't the word I'd use…” Magolor floated to another wall, taking part of it out and playing with some wires.
“Don't be so humble, it was a flawless plan! You just had to fight a bit better.” Marx shrugged.
“Marx.” Magolor turned to the other with a deathly glare, “you know how I feel about what I did.”
“You shouldn't feel that. You did well. Lies are a natural part of life. That dumb child needs to learn some day.” Marx rolled his eyes.
Magolor's eye twitched, “he's not a dumb child. He's a hero, and he saved my life.”
“He destroyed your only chance to rule the whole world.” Marx hissed.
“My soul was taken over by Dark Matter.” Magolor took a few steps closer, his tone now frustrated. It was clear he was struggling to keep his anger buried. His fists were tightly clenched at his side.
“You could've been THE king! You were wearing the crown, you had it on your head, you had its power, you just needed to end that little-”
“WHY ARE YOU LIKE THIS?!” Magolor screamed before his hands quickly covered his mouth, realizing what he just shouted.
Marx's wings slumped behind him, he stood up straight, his eyes narrowed, yet his expression and tone were blank. “What did you just say…?”
“N-no, Marx, I didn't mean it, I'm sorry-!” Magolor tried to reach for his lover, but the other dodged the touch.
Marx sobbed as he ran out, his tears staining the floor of the ship.
“Marx!” Magolor fell to his hands, his gaze looking over the trail of tears. He didn't mean to snap, he didn't mean to hurt the person he loved, he didn't mean to make Marx cry. Now he was alone, in a broken ship, again.
Chapter 10: Healing takes time...
Chapter Text
Dimentio and Luigi were sitting on the couch together, each on a different end. They were scared to get too close to the other. The tv was playing some random musical movie. They were both paying little attention to the movie, instead they were drowning in their thoughts.
“Dimentio? Would you like to go outside? I know a few hidden places in the Mushroom Kingdom that you… uh… might like…” Luigi smiled weakly, turning to the other.
“Y-Yeah… I think it would be nice to have some fresh air…” Dimentio nodded gently.
Luigi's legs slipped off the couch and he stood up. He hesitantly offered his hand to Dimentio, who took it with the same hesitance. He led him out the door and through a few streets, within a few minutes, the two were at a lone river beautifully stretched out between the woods.
Luigi gave a soft smile, “most people don't know this place exists, I like coming here when I feel overwhelmed…” as he finished speaking he turned to Dimentio, and his smile faded quickly.
Dimentio was staring at the river, his chest going up and down rapidly, his body shaking, his eyes fixated on the water. He wasn't seeing the beauty Luigi was seeing, all he could see when looking down at the water was River Twygz. The river he spent two weeks at the bottom of.
“Dimentio??” Luigi put his hand on the other's shoulder. No response. “Dimentio!” He sat the other down under a tree, and checked his pulse, it was beating a lot faster than it should.
Dimentio mumbled something, but it was too quiet to hear.
“What? S-Speak up.” Luigi tried to snap Dimentio out of his panicked state.
“Twygz…” Dimentio's hands were rubbing his own knees.
“No, no, this isn't River Twygz, this is the Mushroom Kingdom’s river… What… What happened at Twygz?” Luigi assured and then asked, making sure his hands were firmly gripping the other.
“the… Underhands…” Dimentio whispered.
“What did they do?” Luigi rubbed circles into Dimentio's shoulders, trying to ground him just a bit.
“They…” Dimentio was clearly struggling to speak, “took my legs…”
“Your legs are right here, Dimentio, and there are no Underhands in this world.”
“No…” Dimentio closed his eyes, “Queen Jaydes… she replaced it… she… chained me up… she cursed me…” he shivered.
“Dimentio, look at me.” Luigi forced Dimentio to turn and face him, “you're not in the Underwhere, you're not cursed, your legs are perfectly fine, and you're safe, I'll make sure you're safe.” His tone was firm.
Dimentio's gaze softened, and his shaking eased up. “You… I… am… safe.” He repeated, “safe…” small tears started to form in his eyes.
Luigi nodded, “safe from any harm.”
“I'm… safe.” Dimentio's shaking faded as tears fell down his face, “I've never been safe before…”
“I'll make sure you won't have to worry about being safe. I promise with all my heart.” Luigi relaxed his grip on Dimentio.
“Thank you…!” Dimentio pushed himself into Luigi's arms with a loud sob.
Luigi embraced him lovingly, “let it out, you're okay… you're with me now…” Luigi made sure to comfort Dimentio as best he could.
After about 20 minutes, Dimentio was no longer crying. He pulled away.
“Are you feeling better?” Luigi asked, his hand trailing down and holding Dimentio's.
“A bit… thank you, Luigi.” Dimentio used his free hand to wipe away what's left of the tears.
“I'm glad…” Luigi smiled softly.
Dimentio took a few moments to look at Luigi's loving eyes, they were a deep blue, and they were as easy to get lost in as the ocean was.
Luigi found himself staring at Dimentio's eyes, too, one was blue, and the other was entirely yellow. It was enchanting, the unique features his eyes held. From the dark shade of blue, to the one-of-a-kind yellow, it was clear to Luigi these eyes were not just beautiful, but have been through a lot of tragedy and tears.
There was silence as the two found themselves lost in each other's eyes.
“Can I… kiss you…?” Dimentio whispered, his body pulling closer to Luigi's.
“Y-Yeah…” Luigi whispered in response, feeling himself get closer too.
Dimentio gently held Luigi's cheek as he got close, and his beautiful eyes closed.
Luigi held Dimentio's hand a bit tighter.
Their lips met the other's. It was a soft and gentle kiss, unlike the ones before, which were rough and violent. This one was kind and loving, it was an unforgettable kiss in the best way there can be.
The leaves rustled quietly above their heads, the water of the river was murmuring weakly as it brushed over smoothed rocks. It was a peaceful kiss, and nature agreed. There was no chaos to tear this moment away from them. They reveled in the touch, in the calmness of the world around them. For a moment, all their worries faded from their minds.
Chapter 11: But I'm not alone.
Notes:
So sorry this chapter's late! Had a lot on my mind and I completely forgot to post it.
Also, this chapter briefly mentions suicidal thoughts and self harm. If you are triggered by that, please do *not* keep reading, your mental health is more important than my fanfic.
Chapter Text
Magolor was running through the trees, desperate to find Marx. He hurt him, he let himself slip up and get angry over something that could have been settled calmly, he felt horrible, he had to try and fix this. He didn't want to lose the love of his life over a stupid argument.
As he got deeper and deeper, a familiar sobbing sound was echoing through the woods, he followed it.
“Marx?? Marx??” he called out, scared for the other's safety now.
And there he was, sitting curled up behind a few trees and bushes. He was clawing at his stitches, some of them have gotten loose or torn already, he was bleeding on the grass, his tears getting mixed with the bright-colored blood.
“Marx…?” Magolor felt his heart drop.
Marx flinched and snapped to look at the other, his claw not leaving the stitches for a moment. He let out a panicked gasp.
Magolor took a few steps closer, but backed away when he saw Marx curl in fear.
“I won't hurt you…” Magolor's voice was as gentle as he could get it to be. “your stitches… you're bleeding again… please, Marx, get your claws away from the stitches…”
Marx's wings slumped behind him, the stains of his own blood were warm.
“I'm sorry… for what I said. I shouldn't have snapped at you like that… there is no justification for what I did, but I'm truly sorry… I love you, more than anything, and losing you is my biggest fear. I've spent most of my life loving you, and I don't plan to stop at all. Please, understand…” Magolor felt his tears stain his clothes. Seeing the one he loved in a hurt state like this… it tore him apart. He felt immense guilt, knowing it was his fault and his fault only.
Marx stared for a few seconds, his lips quivering, tears still endlessly rushing down his face. “I…” his voice cracked, “I am… S-Sorry for running, Mag… I can't be alone… Please don't let me be alone again…” he crawled to his lover, his claws gripping onto the other's cape, staining it with his blood.
Magolor grabbed Marx by his wings, “I promise… I won't…” he lifted him into his embrace, “now, please, let's go home, my love…”
Marx nodded, curling his wings before wrapping them around Magolor in a tight hug.
Magolor floated up, peeking from above the trees, and flew as quickly as he could back to the Lor Starcutter.
The ship rose into the air, and Marx opened a portal to take them back to Popstar. They were both incredibly tired. Magolor finished re-stitching Marx just as they arrived back at Merry Magoland. He parked the ship and the two got off. The amusement park was abandoned, it was the middle of the night.
“Kirby… we should check up on him..” Marx said as they walked out of the park. Magolor nodded.
The two walked towards Mt. Dedede claw in hand.
The chaos around the castle has calmed, and King Dedede seems to have returned not very long ago, Bandana Waddle Dee and Kirby were jumping happily around him.
“Welcome back, King Dedede.” Magolor bowed.
“Where were ya both?” Dedede asked, putting his hand on his hip.
“It's complicated, but we were stuck in a different dimension… we only now found our way back.” Magolor explained.
Marx was eerily silent. It's clear that the events of today hurt him more than he could admit.
“Marx looks traumatized, are you guys good?” Dedede raised an eyebrow, seeing the jester's empty gaze and stitched body.
“We will be fine, thank you.” Magolor said, mocking slightly.
“Poyo! Poy, poyo!” Kirby called to Marx, who smiled weakly in return.
Dedede was a bit confused, but knew that's just how Kirby talks.
“Mag, I think I'm going to go for a walk…” Marx whispered before walking away.
While Marx was strolling through Dream Land, taking deep breaths to stabilize himself, he bumped into something.
“Ow-!” He took a few steps back. His eyes widened with shock as he realized what, or rather, who was laying passed out in front of him. Meta Knight. The brave Knight of Dream Land was unconscious in front of him. It was hard to believe.
“Meta Knight?” He kicked him a bit, checking if he's actually unconscious.
After a moment, Meta Knight woke up. Marx took a few steps back.
Meta Knight's wings stretched out behind him, they were bruised and wounded, there were a few cuts going right through their thin skin. He was barely able to push himself up to sit. He was weak.
“What happened…?” Marx asked, causing Meta Knight to flinch.
Meta Knight suddenly launched into the air, despite his aching wings. He was startled. “Oh, it's you.” He landed back down.
“You're really badly hurt… what happened?” Marx asked again.
“Were you part of the fight? Did you do anything to protect Dream Land, Popstar, or even Kirby? No, of course not. Then, this fight is none of your business.” Meta Knight huffed behind his cracked mask.
“I…-”
“I don't want to hear your excuses. Do you feel any remorse for what you've done? Do you even care about any of us? I told Kirby you shouldn't be an ally, last time you were, you nearly destroyed the planet.” Meta Knight's rant became more aggressive.
Marx was silent, he knew there was some truth in Meta Knight's harsh words, but the anger made it difficult to hear.
“You are not an ally to me, and you are only allowed in Dream Land because Kirby trusts you for some bizarre reason. I don't trust you, and neither should Kirby. Leave, Marx.” Meta Knight finished.
Marx could feel familiar tears return to his eyes. He ran away as fast as his feet could take him. His wings were covering his face. Meta Knight was right, wasn't he? Marx was an untrustworthy creature, and he's hurt a lot of people, including and especially Kirby. Magolor was right to get angry at him, Meta Knight was right to get angry at him. He should just leave Popstar and never return, that way he won't be able to hurt anyone else. He is a horrible being-
“Marx?! Marx! Hey, hey, what's wrong?” Magolor grabbed Marx from the ground and held him close to himself.
Marx broke into a sob in Magolor's arms, his thoughts swirling in his head, causing him more pain than being torn in half. His thoughts spiralled further down, all leading to one conclusion: the world will be better off without him.
“Shhh… it's okay, I'm here… Marx…” Magolor gently cradled Marx in his hands, comforting him to the best of his ability.
Marx tried to push his dark thoughts away, and he pushed himself closer to Magolor, his tears staining his clothes.
Magolor flew back to their home, letting Marx fall asleep in his hands as he did. He set him down on their bed and tucked him in gently. With a small kiss on the forehead, Marx was comfortably asleep in a loving home.
Magolor smiled, it was nice seeing his beloved finally at ease after such an exhausting day. He got in bed too, too tired to even wear different clothes.
Today was a tiring and long day, and everyone deserved a good night's sleep.

Chapter Text
“Alrighty! Magoland has been closed for the next week, I finally got a good night's sleep, and I am ready to spend the entire day hanging out with my beloved little jester boy!” Magolor smiled wide. He was walking out of the walk-in closet, now ready to leave the house.
“It's me! I'm your little jester boy!!” Marx jumped up and down in excitement.
“Yes, you are!” Magolor pushed his mask down a bit to kiss Marx on the cheek.
Marx went pink and giggled, “hehehehe… mmmm…” he kissed Magolor on the lips.
After a short kiss, the two flew out of their home, and into the empty Merry Magoland. They had the place all for themselves, and they both knew they needed it.
“Can we please play Smash Ride???” Marx pointed his wing at one of the closed doors.
Magolor chuckled, “of course, let's go.” He opened the door and the two walked inside.
They each got inside of a star cart and Magolor started the game, teleporting them both to the inside of the arena. The two laughed and cheered as they played.
Marx won the game, which was very obvious to both of them, he gets to play a lot more than Magolor.
“No fair, you have an advantage, I only played the demos we did years ago!” Magolor pouted as they both left the game's room.
“Excuses!! I'm just naturally better than you!” Marx joked.
“Naturally better at being unemployed.” Magolor frowned and then giggled.
“Yeah, yeah, very funny Mr. Never-sleeps.” Marx giggled as well.
The two continued to have a great time in Merry Magoland, running from game to game, doing everything they wanted. This adventure ended in the Mago cafe, where the two sat with two cups of hot chocolate and a plate of freshly baked cookies.
“Magolor… I love you…” Marx said after taking a sip of his drink.
Magolor blushed a bit, leaning back in his chair. “I love you too, Marx…”
The two ended their day wrapped in each other's hands/wings in bed, falling asleep in a gentle embrace.
They spent the next few days doing about the same, relaxing and having fun, bonding and loving, healing.
Dimentio and Luigi were sitting on the couch, far away from each other, watching a show that gave Luigi a lot of comfort. Dimentio tried to enjoy it as well, to take his mind off everything that happened. It was difficult, for both of them, but they needed the distraction.
Dimentio was hugging his legs, rubbing his bandaged wounds. It was hard to love someone with loving the pain they cause you, he was used to having pain intertwined with his love. It was odd to just relax with his loved one.
Luigi was slumped on the couch, tired. He knew what he did was bad, even if it felt good in the moment. He had lost all control over himself, and it hurt people. It hurt Dimentio. It killed his brother. The hero, Mario, the bravest person he knew, was gone. And it was his fault. Because he was lost in lust. He won't let anyone else get hurt, not as long as he lives.
Dimentio’s hand reached for Luigi's, the tip of his fingers were met with a warm and welcoming touch. He held the other's hand with a soft touch, and moved a bit closer. Luigi fixed his posture and sat closer too.
Slowly, they got closer and closer, until their legs were just one or two inches from each other.
Within minutes, they were in each other's arms, in a gentle and loving cuddle.
The day turned into night, and the cuddle turned into a few loving kisses.

> "I'm guessing you, the reader, want the moral of the story… Well, I don't have one. Sometimes stories just happen. Sometimes there is something to learn from it, and sometimes it's just a simple story of a complicated situation.
If you take anything from this story, take this: people can exist in many different forms, with many different personalities, and the biggest sin is to prevent them from healing." - Chaos (OC)
