Chapter 1: Just a little crush
Chapter Text
Sand was tired. He was always tired these days. He wasn’t even sure why anymore. Why did he bother with working 3 jobs. why bother with uni, why bother waking up just to work himself to the ground only to fall asleep again. He wonders when he’s life will start getting easier. Between shifts at his mums gogo bar, the convenience store and making his own bootleg liquor, he was exhausted.
Sand is on his way to work a shift at his mums gogo bar. When he sees a group of people he is all to familiar with. They were the most talked about group at his university. The rich kids/politician kids group.
There was Mew, the smart one. He’s dad came from new money so they were hard working. Mew worked hard for everything he had and he knew that he would need to keep working hard and smart to keep what he had recently gained.
Then there was Cheum. She was old money, but unlike some of the other old money she wasn’t a stuck up princess. She was dating April who had come from an average income house hold and it seems to ground her a lot.
Boston was the son of the local politician in the area. But unlike his other two friends he didn’t seem to care about working hard. He was the name every table knew and he was proud of that. Sand was not one to judge. To each of their own.
Finally, there was Ray. He was the only heir to one of the oldest old money you could find in Bangkok. His dad had his hands in almost everything. And Ray knew how to spend money. Unlike Mew and Cheum he would flaunt his money any chance he got. Though Sand wasn’t 100% sure why he did what he did, it certainly caught people’s attention.
Ray would openly flirt with anyone but rarely ever closed the deal. Rumour was he was actually already engaged to some heiress and was just flirting to fill the void until they could finally be together. As romantic as it sounded Sand didn’t actually believe this rumour. His gut feeling said Ray had more to him then meets the eye. He just couldn’t put his finger on what that thing was.
Out of all the members of this group. Sand probably knew about Ray the most. Why? Well that was because Sand had just a little crush on him. But it was only a little. Sand knew better than to fantasise about someone that was out of his league. While he knew this, sometimes he would dream about running into Ray and finally catching the rich man’s attention. Luckily Sand had a good head on his shoulders and would only ever think of it as a dream.
Coming out of his fantasies, Sand noticed the group just outside his mums gogo bar. He wasn’t sure why they would be here. This part of Bangkok wasn’t exactly the area you would find rich kids hanging around but before he could think of why they would be there his phone rang. He mother was calling him because he was now late for his shift.
“Crap!” He says aloud and rushes in through the back entrance.
He quickly changes into his uniform and heads towards the bar. He was a bartender here and while he wasn’t able to make anything super fancy he knew he way around alcohol. About 1/2 an hour into his shift, the group he saw outside finally make their way inside to the bar.
Sand was amuse because they stood out like a sore thumb. But it was obvious they were trying to be sneaky. Sand laughed to himself and decided he would just ignore them it was better for him to keep to himself otherwise his little crush might get carried away.
That was the plan until he caught someone’s eye. Said someone might happened to be said crush and a panic course through Sand. He quickly looks away and avoids making eye contact with Ray.
Don’t get delusional. Don’t get delusional. He repeats to himself.
He looks up and finds that Ray is still looking at him. Sand tries to not smile but he can feel his face giving in as Ray starts to make his way over to the bar. That is until Cheum grabs him and ushers him into a booth.
Sand is unsure what they are hiding from but as he looks over he sees April.
Oh! Of course. He grins. Sand is guessing April hasn’t told Cheum that her sister is one of the dancers at this gogo bar.
While he is curious to see how this will all unfold he has work to do tonight so he leaves his thoughts behind and continues his shift like normal. Eventually Cheum and the group are caught by April and her sister. Sand laughs at the exchange taking place. He can see that the group are quite embarrassed having been caught so easily. He think they’ll most likely leave now that everything has been resolved.
But to his surprise. Not only do they all stay. Rays attention appear to be back on him. This time though, no one stops Ray from approaching the bar.
“Hey there.”
“What can I get you?” Sand is trying his best to keep his composure. Hoping he is not giving himself away with the internal meltdown that was currently happening inside of him.
“Whiskey on the rocks thanks.” Ray is smooth with his delivery.
“Coming right up.” Sand starts on the drink. Hoping to keep himself calm by keeping busy.
“You look familiar.” Ray asks while he waits.
“Umm.. is that suppose to be a pick up line?” Sand smiles. “Cause I’ve heard better.”
“Oh… flirty are we?” Ray looks intrigued.
Sand shrugs. He knows he is hot. He may not be Ray level hot but he certainly didn’t have any issues finding dates or hook ups.
“So if one was to pick you up. What would that involve?” Ray continues.
“That depends.”
“On…?”
“On whether I want them to pick me up.” Sand smirks, he outer confidence masking his internal nervousness.
“And would you want me to pick you up?”
“Hmmm… keep trying.” Sand delivers the whiskey on the rocks to Ray. Giving him a rather flirty smile.
“I see.. well I don’t have anything better to do tonight so let me keep trying.” Ray takes his whiskey and almost downs it in one shot. “I’m Ray by the way.”
“Sand.”
Sand had never seen Ray drink like this before. He is shocked and intrigued at the same time. Sands little crush on Ray had always made him aware that there was more to Ray then meets the eye and seeing Ray tackle the alcohol like that, he was starting to see that it was more problematic then he had originally thought.
During the course of the night. Ray continues to flirt with Sand as he continues to make Rays drinks. Not leaving the bar once. Rays friends eventually leave, Sand noticing that not one of them had bothered to to check in on Ray.
By the time the gogo bar is closing, Ray is blind drunk and is no longer flirting with Sand. Sand had tried to cut Ray off but he hadn’t realised Ray was drunk until it was too late. He must have drank before getting to the gogo bar.
Unsure what to make of this Ray, he does the only thing he can for customers who get too drunk. He organises a grab. He fishes Rays phone out of his pockets. He uses Rays face to unlock the phone and calls the last number he rang. It happens to be Mew, the smart friend. He explains the situation over the phone and is able to secure Rays address to give to the driver.
After sending Ray off, he wonders if he should have gone with him. The flirty man from early slips into his mind. He wonders what kind of a mess Ray Pakorn is and if he’ll get a chance to glimpse at it again.
—-
The next day Sand is making his way from a finished lecture. He had a shift at the convenience store today and he didn’t want to be late. As he walked towards his bike, he bumps into someone he had never bumped into at uni before.
“Hey there.”
Ray.
“Hi….” Sand is unsure of what he is suppose to say. After last night he wasn’t sure Ray would even remember him.
“You’re Sand, the bartender from last night right?”
“Ummm…” Sand is still confused on how he should respond.
“I was right you did look familiar.”
“Yeah. I guess.” Sand finally responds.
“I just wanted to thank you for last night. My house keeper said a garb dropped me off and when I spoke to Mew he said you where the one that organised it.”
“Oh. Yeah no problem. We do what we can for customers all the time.” Sand tries to plays it off as casually as he can.
“Are you free? I would like to repay you of possible.” Ray looks at him with beady eyes. Sand could easily get lost in those eyes.
“I actually have a shift at the convenience stores now.” Sand says reluctantly. “Maybe some other time?”
Sand hopes Ray will take a rain check.
“What time do you finish? Maybe we could grab something to eat afterwards?” Ray says.
Sand is over the moon. “5pm.”
“Alright. How about we meet…”
“Ray!” A voice calls from behind them.
Mew comes up and joins them. “Ray where have you been? I’ve been looking for you for ages.”
“Oh sorry Mew. I was trying to make up for my mistake last night like you said I should.”
…Mistake last night like you said…. Sand catches on pretty quickly. Ray was only here because Mew must have told him off.
“As you should. You can’t keep being such a burden to society.”
Sand was taken a back. Did Mew just call his friend a burden to society? The mystery of Ray Pakorn was getting more intriguing by the minute.
“He wasn’t a burden.” Sand says calmly. Even though he was raging for Ray on the inside.
“Well he should still thank you for looking after him.”
“And he has. So no need to keep reprimanding him.” Sand says.
“Now if you’ll excuse me I am late for my shift.”
With that Sand walks off. Not giving either Ray or Mew a chance to speak. Sand wasn’t sure what to make of what he just witnessed. He wasn’t sure he liked the way Mew spoke to Ray. He wasn’t sure he liked the way Ray looked at Mew like he hang the stars up in the sky. Sand wasn’t stupid, he knew what a crush looked like. And something told him.. he little crush on Ray was going to get a whole lot more complicated then he has ever thought.

Chapter Text
Ray was besotted. He’d never seen a man more beautiful than the one before his eyes. The bartender at this gogo bar was tall. Taller than Ray himself. He had the most gorgeous big brown eyes Ray had ever seen. Every time he smiled at a customer butterflies in Rays stomach would flutter. Ray knew he was staring but he couldn’t help it. He was mesmerised.
Ray had been staring for a while, completely forgetting why he was even here in the first place.
“Hey! Earth to Ray!” He could hear Cheums voice but he struggled to pull his eyes away from the bartender. It was then the man finally looked Rays way. The butterflies in his stomach fluttered again. Ray started walking over before he even realised what he was doing but then Cheum grabbed him and pulled him into a booth.
“Quick hide!” Cheum says while she pushes everyone in.
Ray looks over to where Cheum was looking and sees April. Cheum girlfriend for the last month, with one of the gogo dancers.
“I can’t believe she would cheat on me with a gogo dancer.” Cheum starts to cry.
“Hey now.” Mew says. “ you don’t know that’s what’s happening.”
“Yeah I mean they don’t even look like they doing anything but talking.” Ray chips in.
“You guys are lame.” Boston gets up from the booth. “Let’s just go and confront the cheater!”
Boston is about to grab Cheum and march over to April and the dancer. Ray isn’t surprised Boston jumps straight to confrontation. He is surprised however when Mew decides to pull him along with Boston and Cheum. But before any of them even leaves the booth, April and the dancer are in front of them. Having been caught straight away.
Before he knew what was even happening, Cheum and April are arguing, Boston is smirking while egging them on. And he and Mew just stand there looking lost.
“She my sister, you silly goose.” Ray hears April admit.
“What?!” Cheum is equally as shock as Ray feels. April pulls her away and they head off backstage somewhere. Ray is left alone with Boston and Mew.
“Should we just go?” Mew asks.
“She might need some support.” Ray answers. “Let’s just chill for a little until we know she’s ok.”
They both nod in agreement.
Rays eyes finally make their way back to the bar. Where his gorgeous bartender is still busy working. This doesn’t go unnoticed by his two friends.
“Someone caught your eye?” Boston teases as he looks over.
“Doesn’t he go to our uni?” Mew says. “Pretty sure he’s in a different department but I have seen him around.”
“Really?” Ray is surprised he never noticed someone so beautiful. Well to be honest up until a few weeks ago he’s whole attention had been on Mew but when Mew started dating his now boyfriend, Top. Ray knew it was time to let go of his small crush.
“Pretty sure he’s works like 2 jobs and is selling bootleg alcohol on the side.” Boston offers.
“And you know this how?”
“Meh. I might have hooked up with his roommate.” Boston doesn’t elaborate.
Ray has a few more questions but he soon catches said bartender eyes again and this time there was no one to stop him from introducing himself to the gorgeous man in front of him. He walks over. Ray could feel the start of a small crush forming.
“Hey there.”
“What can I get you?”
Ray was kinda hoping for a warmer response but he can take his time. All Ray knows is, he wants this man under him. And he was determined to have him at all cost.
“Whiskey on the rocks, thanks.” Ray orders without thinking. Having already started at home, he knew he should have asks for something lighter but he was too captivated.
“Coming right up.” The bartender leaves to work on his drink.
“I’m Ray by the way.” He introduces himself after some small talk.
“Sand.”
What a lovely name. Ray thinks to himself. He can’t help but swoon over Sand.
“So how much would one need to order, to get you to go home with them?” Ray teases.
“Hmm that depends. Can you afford it?” Sand is flirting back. Which was a good sign.
“Oh?” Ray is up for the challenge. In hindsight sight he should have realised getting blind drunk wasn’t going to help get Sand into his bed. But he was far too gone for the bartender to think clearly.
By the time he blacks out. He has lost all his ability to think of any thing else but the beautiful man in front of him.
—-
Ray wakes up to a pounding headache.
Dammit. Ray thinks. So much for getting Sand into his bed.
Ray struggles to find his phone eventually locating it in the back of his pants. How did he even make he’s way to his room? He wonders.
He sees a message from Mew.
You’re lucky the bartender was nice enough to put you in a grab. I rang your house keeper to help you once you got home. Make sure your thank both of them when your up.
So Sand had put him in a grab but didn’t bother to come home with him. Ray wasn’t too bothered. He knew where Sand worked and could try again later. Ray wasn’t going to get piss ass drunk again. He needed a plan.
As luck would have it. He didn’t need to go to the gogo bar. He was on his way to meet with his friend when the beautiful bartender appeared before him in the parking lot of the uni.
“Hey there.” He calls to Sand to get his attention.
“Hi…”
Ray should have expect such a luke warm response. What kind of welcome would someone give to a customer who got so drunk they couldn’t even make their way home. But Ray was determined to change that. He wanted Sand. His small crush had well and truly formed after finding out Sand took care of him last night.
“You’re the bartender from last night right?”
“Umm…”
“I knew you looked familiar. It wasn’t just a line.” Ray puts on the prettiest smile he can muster.
“Yeah… I guess.” Sand looked like he wanted to leave. Ray knew he had to talk fast or he was going to lose this chance.
“I think I owe you a big thank you. I was told that you were the one that got me home.”
“Oh no need to worry. We do that for customers all the time.” Sand is nonchalant with his reply.
Ray is starting to panic. He’s never had to work so hard for someone before.
“Can I make it up to you? How about we grab something to eat?”
“Oh. Sorry I have a shift at the convenience store now but maybe later?”
Not a direct rejection which was a good sign.
“How about after your shift? What time do you finish?”
“5pm.”
Ray is about to ask for his number and suggests they meet at a restaurant near the university, when he hear Mew calling him.
“Ray where have you been?” Mew looks upset. “I’ve been looking everywhere for you.”
“I was trying to say thanks like you suggested.”
Mew looks over at Sand. “Good. You can’t keep being a burden to society.”
And there it was again. The reminder he wasn’t good enough. The reminder he was a burden to everyone around him. Ray needed a drink.
“He wasn’t a burden.”
Ray is stunned. He looks over at Sand.
“Well he should still thank you.” Mew says trying to not fidget at Sands deadpan attitude.
“And he has. So no need to keep reprimanding him.” Sand turns to walk away after say this.
Ray couldn’t believe what he just heard. Sand just stood up to Mew. Sand just defended him. Sand…
Oh crap! Sand was walking away.
Ray head is rushing. He hadn’t gotten Sands number yet. He tries to run after the bartender but is stopped by Mew.
“What’s his problem?”
Ray looked over at his friend. He was giving Sand that look Ray hated. Every time Mew looked at him like that he knew he was in for an earful. The look that said, I’m only trying to help you so you need to do things my way. Ray hated this look.
“You wanted to see me?” Ray didn’t want to talk about Sand if Mew was just going to lecture him. So he changed the subject.
“Oh yeah. We want to meet at the hostel later to go over the interior design. Top has come up with some plans.” Mew was more enthusiastic about this topic.
“Oh.” Ray was not. “Sure.”
They make their way to their next class as they discuss the hostel. Ray hoping he would get another chance to talk to Sand.
He was starting to get even more interested in the beautiful man. At first it had started as a purely physical attraction. He wanted Sand naked and underneath him. Moaning his name as Ray thrust into him. But now…. He was starting to think his small crush on Mew wasn’t actually a crush at all, not when compared to the small crush he had on Sand. He certainly never thought of Mew this way. He never wanted Mew the same way he wanted Sand, all hot and bothered pressed against his bed.
As he entered the lecture hall, Ray’s fantasy had taken a rather erotic turn. He was imagining Sand, naked on his bed. Covered in his cum. Moaning his name. Ray wonders what Sand lips would taste like. He wonders if Sand skin would feel soft under his touch. He wonders what kind of noise Sand would make as he pounded into him. Would he like it rough or would Sand prefer Ray being gentle with him.
Ray wanted it both ways. He wanted to be rough and mess Sand up into his sheets. But he also wanted to be gentle and kiss him softly until they both were sated. Ray was obsessed. He had to find Sand again. He had to make Sand his.
As the lecture moved on, Ray continued to think about all the wonderful things he would do to Sand once he got his hands on him.
A smile came to his face. Maybe this wasn’t just a small crush.

Chapter Text
Sand was having a bad day. His earlier conversation with Ray and Mew left him feeling complicated.
His little crush on Ray was starting to develop into something more. At this stage he wasn’t sure if this was a good thing or not. Ray was certainly more than just a pretty rich face. Over the course of last night Sand had seen a side of Ray he knew existed but was always too afraid to get to know. He had kept his distance despite his crush on the rich man. Thinking he wasn’t good enough.
Sand had to essentially work 3 jobs to make ends meet whereas Ray was born with a silver spoon in his mouth. They lived in two completely different worlds. Sand wasn’t delusional enough to think he and Ray could be anything more. But last night when Ray was openly flirting with him. When Ray was looking at him like he mattered. Looking at him like he was wanted. Sand started to think maybe they could be more. But was he brave enough to actually take the chance. He wasn’t so sure.
Ray was complicated. He drank to get away from something. Sand could see that when he was serving him drinks last night. After Ray had gotten drunk, Sand could see the vulnerability seeping through. While Sand was curious, he wasn’t sure it was his place to dig any deeper. Something told him it might have something to do with Rays friends.
His mind was filled with Ray during his whole shift at the convenience store. Once he got off at 5. He started to head home.
“Sand.”
He turned around to face the person calling his name. Dammit.
It was the last person he wanted to see. Boeing his ex.
“Hey long time no see.”
“What are you doing here?”
“Why can’t I stop by to see a friend?”
“We are not friends!” Sand wanted to make it clear he was not interested in a friendship with his ex.
“Come on Sand.” Boeing says. “Are you still upset over that incident?”
“Are you seriously asking me if I am still upset that you cheated on me?”
“I made a mistake.” Boeing claims. “I want to make it up to you.”
“Well I’m not interested.” Sand makes to leave.
“Hey come on.” Boeing grabs him by the arm.
“Let go!” Sand yells.
Suddenly, a figure comes between Boeing and himself.
“He told you to let go.”
Ray.
What was he doing here? Sand thinks to himself.
“Who are you?” Boeing looks annoyed.
“Just a passing good samaritan.” Ray plays it off coolly.
“Well you aren’t needed.” Boeing pushes past Ray to try and grab Sand again but Ray wasn’t haven’t it.
“Back off.” Ray refuses to be moved.
Sand then intervenes. He steps in front of Ray and stops Boeing. “I’ve made myself clear already. I don’t want to see you. I don’t want to talk and I don’t want to be friends. Back off.”
Sand needs to be firm. He didn’t need Boeing to think he had a shot in getting back into his life. He was done with Boeing. That seemed to get the message across as Boeing finally backed off.
“Ok I’ll give you some space but I’ll be back Sand. We should talk things out.”
“Don’t bother it’s not going to happen.” Sand is determined to block Boeing.
After Boeing leaves Sand turns to face Ray.
“Hey. Thanks for your help earlier.” Sand smiles at Ray. Even though he was able to handle the situation himself. He liked that Ray was there trying to help.
“No problem. I assumed this was the store you worked at. You left without giving me your number or telling me where you were working.” Ray smiles back at him.
“Oh… stalking me now are you?” Sand is teasing but he knows Ray wouldn’t really be stalking him. Why would he even bother. Ray had half the uni fawning over him.
“Maybe I am.” Ray is flirting again.
“If you wanted my number. Just ask. I won’t say no.” Sand flirts back.
Ray pulls out his phone and they exchange line ids.
With each other information saved into their phones. Sand get ready to leave again.
“How about that dinner?” Ray asks before he can get too far away.
“I thought you’d be busy with your friend.” Sand say trying his best to maintain he nervousness in front of his crush.
They don’t have the mood of the gogo bar to help this time. Ray isn’t drinking and Sand doesn’t have the excuse of working to keep himself busy. He could feel his nerves pushing up from the pits of his stomach.
“No… I want to be with you.” Ray stares at him. “Plus I need to thank you for last night.”
Sand laughs at this.
“You know most of the customers I send home don’t stalk me the next day.”
“Well that’s good for me then. No pests hanging around you.”
“Oh.. so you don’t see yourself as a pest then?”
“Nope. I’m openly pursuing you.” Ray is nonchalant.
Sand likes the confidence in Ray. He could feel his crush growing with each moment alone with Ray. This little crush was about to change.
“Why are you really here Ray?”
“Do you want the truth or some fluffy excuse?”
“The truth.”
“I want you.”
Sand is stunned. He wasn’t expecting Ray to be so open in pursuing him. “You want me?”
“Yes.”
“And how exactly do you want me?” Sand wants to make sure they were on the same page.
“At this very moment?”
Sand nods.
“Physically under me.”
Sand is once again shocked at Rays very blunt answer.
“So you want me physically under you.” Sand repeats.
Rays turn to nod this time.
“If… and I only mean if I gave you what you wanted…” Sand isn’t sure he is making a wise decision. But he offers it anyway. “It would be a one time thing.”
“A one time thing?” Ray repeats after him.
Sand is unable to read Rays thoughts through his look. At this stage his little crush on Ray has turned into a minor crush. Sleeping with Ray was a bad idea but he wanted to at least feel Ray once. He had been harbouring this crush for so long now. He didn’t want to give up this chance.
“Ok.” Ray agrees. “Just once.”
“Mmmhmmh..at least mmm for now…”Ray mumbles something but Sand doesn’t quite catch it.
Sand agrees to go home with Ray. Hoping his little crush turned minor crush wasn’t going to bite him in the butt later.
—
“One time only.” Sand tell him. Ray is unsure if he agrees because he is just that horny or if he doesn’t truly believe this will be a one time thing.
Ray had been thinking about Sand naked in his bed since he first laid eyes on him at the gogo bar. The taller man was beautiful. His eyes big and round. They looked they contained the whole night sky in them. His lips were plumped and so dam kissable. Ray was determined to have him from that moment on.
“Ok one time only.” Ray pulls Sand to him. Grabbing his neck tightly as his fingers make their way through Sands hair.
So soft. Ray thinks to himself, as he pulls Sand to him, kissing those plump lips that have been on his mind since last night.
The kiss is soft at first. Ray testing the water to see if Sand will pull away and when he doesn’t Ray starts to deepen the kiss. He feels a hunger he has never felt before. A need for the man in his arms.
“Come home with me?” Ray asks.
Sand nods and Ray quickly takes the taller man home. Before he had a chance to change his mind.
As soon as they are in the privacy of Rays room, Ray is all over Sand again. Determined to make this man his, Ray pushes Sand onto his bed and starts to under dress them both.
“Can I have you?” He asks making sure Sand hasn’t changed his mind.
Sand looks at him with those big boba eyes. “Yes.”
Ray smiles and he kisses Sand’s lips again. Ray starts there but soon his own lips are moving down Sands neck eventually landing on his collarbone.
“Can I leave marks?” Ray breathes into Sands skin.
“Mmmm.” Sand mumbles.
Ray bites down hard, he becomes almost possessive over Sand. The need for the man has only intensified since they kissed. Rays hands continues to undress Sand, slowly removing his shirt. Once the shirt is out the way, Ray runs his hand down Sands body slowly taking in all of Sands sensitive spots. Noticing the way Sand moans when he pinches Sand tiny waist.
A spot to remember for later. Ray thinks to himself.
Soon Ray starts to make his way into Sands waist band. Pulling his boxers and pants off swiftly. Sand is now laying bare for Ray to see.
“You’re so beautiful.” Ray breaths. “Has anyone ever told you that?”
Sand blushes as he shakes his head. “No, I’m a man. What man wants to be told he is beautiful?”
“Well you are.” Ray says as a matter of fact. “You’re so beautiful, I haven’t been able to get you out of my head since the first time we met.”
“Stop!” Sand is almost red at this stage.
“Ok I’ll stop… for now.”
Ray continues to kiss Sand along his neck as his hand make their way to Sands growing erection. He pumps it a few times to harden it.
“How do you want to do this?”
“Huh?” Sand looks shocked that he had been given the choice.
“I just want you.” Ray says. “I don’t mind how we do this, just as long as we do.”
“I…” Sand starts but is unsure what to say. “I thought you said you wanted me under you?”
“Honestly?”
Sand nods.
“I do want you under me. I have wanted my cock in you since I first laid eyes on you. Is that ok?”
Sand nods again. “Hmm… I figured.”
“Oh?”
“You’ve been looking at me like…”
“Like what?”
“Like you want to devour me.” Sand says. “It scares me a little.”
“Sorry.” Ray murmurs, as he continues to kiss along Sands neck. “I don’t mean to scare you. You’re just so damn beautiful.”
“It’s ok.” Sand reassures him. “While it scares me. I don’t actually hate this.”
“I’m glad.”
Ray continues to kiss Sand down his body. He could feel his control slipping for the man underneath him. Ray is so hard now, he isn’t sure he’ll last long once they start.
Ray located the lube he keeps by his bedside table and pours a generous amount into his hand. He carefully circles Sands rim a few times before pushing a finger in. He kisses Sand to relax him some more before adding another finger. Slowly opening the beautiful man up.
“That’s it’s. You opened up so nicely for me.”
“Mmmm…” Sand moans.
After adding a third finger Ray can tell Sand is ready for him. Grabbing a condom from the draw, Ray rolls it onto his hard cock. He’s desperate to be inside Sand now.
“I’ll try and be gentle.” He says not truly believing his own words as he slowly pushes into Sand tight hole.
“Damn. You feel so good.” He murmurs against Sands neck.
“Don’t talk.” Sand moans.
Ray smirks. Sand feels just as good as he had dreamed. He was tight and warm and he looked so beautiful blissed out. Ray starts to thrust, slowly at first. Giving Sand time to get use to his size and length, but soon all his thoughts are out the door. He was fucking Sand and it felt amazing. He quicken his pace, as he tried to find that one spot inside Sand. Soon he hits a spot that makes Sand moan even louder than he had been.
“Mmmmmnnn!”
Ray starts to thrust into that same spot over and over. He can feel his climax approaching but he slows down a little determined to make Sand come first. Ray grabs Sands cock trying to get him off.
“Ray.” Sand moans his name. “I’m coming.”
“Come.” Ray whispers into his skin.
With that, Sand moans as he spills into Rays palm after a few more strokes. Ray starts to thrust harder into Sand again. He could feel Sand pulsing around his cock. Ray soon follows, filling the condom as Sand squeezes his cock with his warm and tight hole.
He’d never felt like this before. Never felt so blissed out after coming in another person. Ray knew then that this was special. This wasn’t going to just be a one time thing.
They lay in bed enjoying the bliss that follows.
“That’s was amazing. You were amazing Sand.” Ray says.
“Hmm.” Sand mumbles. “You too, that was… wow.”
Ray chuckles at Sands awkwardness.
“Is this really going to be the only time?” Ray prods. He is hoping Sand will change his mind about the one time thing after they had sex.
“I…” Sand hesitates. “I don’t know.”
“Can I change your mind? I don’t want this to be the only time.”
Ray is determined to have Sand again. Now that he knows what Sand tastes like, he knew he couldn’t give it up. He refused to give it up.
“Ray…”
“Let’s sleep for now. We can talk about it in the morning.”
Sand smiles at him. “Ok.”

Chapter Text
Ray wakes up happy and sated. He hasn’t felt like this ever with anyone. He couldn’t believe that he managed to get the most gorgeous looking man he’d ever seen to come home with him.
As he reaches out to hold Sand, he realised he was alone in bed. Panic surges through him.
Shit. Where did Sand go? Ray tries not to think the worse as he looks around his room. Sands clothes that had been thrown off last night are no where to be found. He doesn’t see a note. He reaches for his phone and notices he has a message from Sand. Relief washing over him.
Hey. Sorry I had class this morning and you looked so at peace I couldn’t bring myself to wake you. Message me when you get this. We can talk about us if you’re still interested.
Ray was over the moon. Sand didn’t just leave… well he did but not because he was avoiding Ray. He quickly typed out a reply.
Good morning. Next time you need to leave. Wake me up. I don’t care how early or how peaceful I look. I want to see you off
Of course I want to talk about us. In case you hadn’t realised, I’m kind of obsessed with you. Call me when you’re done with uni. Let’s meet later
Ray sends his messages to Sand and drops back down into bed. He couldn’t wipe the smile off his face even if he tried. Sand was his for the time being. And if he had any say in it, Sand would be his for a long time to come.
He eventually got out of bed and showered. He wanted to be ready to meet Sand when he finished uni. Ray had one class today but that was later in the afternoon. He wanted to meet Sand before he had to head to class.
After he got out the shower. Sand had replied.
I have a classes until noon then I have a shift at the convenience store. Maybe we could chat tonight instead?
Ray likes the sound of that. It almost sounded like Sand was asking him out on a date.
Oh. You’re asking me out on a date already? Guess last night must have been that good
Ray sends the message. A smile creeping on his face. He gets a reply almost instantly.
You jerk. I’m not asking you out on a date even if the sex was that good.
How about I ask you out on a date instead
….
Sand doesn’t reply. Ray starts to worry he has scared him off, he quickly thinks of a response when a text came through.
I’d say yes. Probably.
Ray kicks his legs into the air as he lies on his bed.
Good. Let me pick you up at 6pm then? Will you have finished work
Yes. 6pm works for me. My apartment is …
Ray starts planning their date. He wants to make sure he shows Sand just how serious he is about this. He wants more than just one night.
—-
Sand is back at his apartment after he finishes work. He was getting ready for his date with Ray. Sand had originally thought last night would be a one time thing, while he had hoped that Ray might have wanted more he didn’t want to put the pressure on his crush. But last night felt different to any hook up he’d ever had. Ray was amazing and not just physically. He was attentive. He had made Sand feel like he was worth the time and effect. Especially afterwards when they were just laying in Ray bed. Ray had made it seem like he wanted to actually pursue Sand properly. It made him feel giddy with excitement.
When it was almost 6pm. Sand was sitting by waiting for Ray to arrive. Only Ray didn’t arrive. Instead he got a message from him instead.
Hey I’m so sorry to do this last minute but my friend has just gone through a nasty break up and I really need to be with him. Do you mind if we reschedule for another day?
Sand would be lying if he said the message didn’t make him sad but he’s room mate had also recently gone through a nasty break up. And Sand had been the one who needed to pick up the pieces.
No worries. I completely understand. My room mate recently went through the same thing and I had to be on emotional support as well. Take care of him. We can meet some other time
Sand sends the message and proceeded to get change into his home clothes. As sad as he was. He was glad Ray was someone who prioritised friendship. He was worth getting to know and Sand felt like postponing the date would give him time to think about their situation.
—-
The next morning Sand still hadn’t heard back from Ray. But he assumed it was because of his friend being a wreck. He sent Ray a quick message and got on with his day.
Good morning. Hope everything is ok with your friend. Let me know if you need anything.
Sand sends the message and heads to uni. He had a shift tonight at his mums gogo bar after uni. So he didn’t have much time today. He planned to bottle up some of his plum wine in the afternoon before work.
But by late afternoon. Sand still hadn’t heard from Ray and he was starting to get worried. Maybe his friend was in really bad shape. He was going through his social on his phone, when he saw a post Ray had been tagged in on IG. It was a post made by one of Rays friends, Boston.
So glad my two best friends are finally together.
Attached was a picture of Ray and Mew kissing.
Sand was devastated. He had really hoped Ray was serious about pursuing a relationship with him. But it was obvious now he had been living in his delusional brain again.
Deep down he knew Ray had feelings for Mew. He had seen it the day after they first met. He had seen the way Ray looked at Mew but after their night together he had hoped that maybe the connection he had shared with Ray had changed to mean more. He was wrong. He knew Ray and him belonged in two different worlds. How could someone who worked 3 jobs ever be with someone like Ray.
The issue now however, was his little crush on Ray had grown into something much bigger. He knew spending a night with Ray could potentially lead to this but he wanted to give Ray a chance. Now that his little crush was bigger, he didn’t know what he would do.
He closed his social media and put his phone away. Making his way home to bottle some plum wine. He needed to distract himself. Problem was, there was a pain that was growing in his heart. Throwing himself into work had worked in the past. He just hoped it would work again this time and that he could still squish his bigger crush on Ray back down.

Chapter Text
Rays phone had gone flat hours ago. He wanted to head home and charge it or at least find a charger some where in the hostel but he couldn’t leave Mew alone. His best friend was a mess. Turns out his perfect boyfriend wasn’t so perfect. Mew had caught him with someone else. And now he was here spilling nonsense about how he should love Ray instead.
But Ray wasn’t having any of that. He calls Boston and Cheum from the land line at the hostel for back up. Mew needed to be with his friends. Even if they weren’t always the best.
“Hey Mew. Stop moping!” Boston says. “Just get back at him. If he cheats on you. Get with someone else and show him you don’t need him!”
Ray rolls his eyes. Maybe he shouldn’t have called Boston.
“Actually Boston has a point.” Cheum now joins in.
Great not her too. She then winks at Ray. “Ray would be the perfect choice.”
“What?!” Ray almost screams. “I am not the perfect choice.”
“Ray of course you are.” Cheum winks at him again.
Boston starts to join in as well. “Yeah Ray would be the perfect choice. I mean the guy has been in love with you for years Mew.”
Mew looks over at Ray. “You guys are right. Ray is the perfect choice. At least you’ll never cheat on me.”
“Whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa!” Ray is stunned. “Hang on a sec. I might have had a crush on Mew in the past but that was in the past.”
“Come on Ray. You’re seriously telling me, you’ve ended your crush just like that when last week your whole ass was still owned by him.” Boston states like it’s a matter of fact.
“My ass was not owned by Mew!” Ray is starting to get angry.
“Ray we all know how you feel about Mew.” Cheum tells him. “Now’s your chance, why not just take it?”
“Ah because I have someone else I like.” Ray admits. He was kind of hoping to admit it to Sand first but he wasn’t going to sit by and be accused of cheating on Sand. Even if they weren’t technically together yet.
What he felt for Sand last night was real. More real than anything he had ever felt before and he’ll be damned if his friends thought they could use him to make Top jealous.
All three of his friends are shocked to hear this.
“Since when?”
“Is it the bartender?”
“Are you serious?”
Questions are thrown at him all at once.
He sighs. “Since two nights ago, yes and yes.
“Two nights?” Cheum doesn’t look convince. “You’re seriously giving up your chance with Mew for someone you met two nights ago?”
“So?” Ray doesn’t care at this point. “I’ve had a crush on Mew for years and not once did he consider dating me. Why can’t I move on?”
“Ray are you sure about this?” Boston asks him.
“What do you mean?”
“This is Mew your giving up.” Boston looks over at Mew who had tuned out of the conversation.
“It’s fine if you don’t want to date me.” Mew says. “My own boyfriend cheated on me. Who would want me.”
“No Mew.. that’s not it.” Ray tries to explain. “You’re great and honestly if you had asked me 3 days ago I would have jumped at the opportunity but now…”
“It’s fine. No one wants me.” Mew has gone into self pity mode.
Great. Just great! Ray thinks to himself.
“Ok here an idea…” Boston has that mischievous grin on his face. Ray hates that face.
“How about you just pretend to date? That will piss Top off as he has always hated how close you and Ray were.”
“No!” Ray refuses.
“Why not?” Boston asks. “You’ll be doing your friends a favour.”
“What part of I have someone I like did you not understand?” Ray was starting to get annoyed. His friends weren’t taking his feelings for Sand seriously at all.
“Ray are you seriously going to pick someone you met two days ago over helping Mew?” It was Chuem’s turn to argue with him.
“Seriously?” Ray couldn’t believe it. “Do you guys not hear yourself? I’m not going to pretend to date Mew to make Top jealous!”
“Guys stop pushing Ray. If he doesn’t want to help then he doesn’t have to.” Mew says.
Ray isn’t sure he liked how Mew said that. Like it was Rays fault for not going along with Bostons plan.
“Can you guys give me and Ray a sec?” Mew asks Cheum and Boston.
They both enter the house, leaving Ray and Mew by the hostel pool. Ray sat down next to Mew.
“I’m sorry I can’t help, but making Top jealous isn’t going to help you with the pain.”
“No it won’t but I want to forget. Can’t you help me forget?” Mew pleads with Ray.
Ray sighs. “Mew…”
“We don’t have to date for real, I just want to forget about Top. You’ve alway been there for me in the past.”
Then out of nowhere, Mew leans forward and kisses Ray. Before Ray has time to react their lips touch. But he pushes Mew off him straight away.
“Mew!” Ray was furious. “I said no! Don’t make me the enemy here!”
Mew looks hurt. “Fine then! Leave! Go be with your whore!”
“Mew!” Ray couldn’t believe what Mew had just said.
“Two years ago, when you needed me. I was there for you! Why can’t you do the same for me?”
Ray was stunned. He had not expected Mew to bring up his past. Especially not from two years ago. “You can’t be serious? Are you really bringing up my mother’s death and comparing it to being cheated on by your boyfriend?”
Mew stays silent. “Ray…”
“I can’t believe you would do that!”
Ray yells at him. “On top of that you call the guy I happened to have feelings for a whore?”
“I know you’re in pain. But that doesn’t give you the right to say things like that!”
Mew stays silent.
“Apologies!” Ray demands. “Apologies or I walk.”
“Ray I’m so sorry. I …” Mew starts to cry.
Ray sees the tears roll down his cheeks and he starts to soften. Mew was his best friend and this current version wasn’t his Mew. Ray goes over and gives Mew a hug, slowly rubbing his back. “It’s ok Mew.”
“It’s not. I don’t know why I’m being so bitter.” Mew sobs. “Just because I’m in pain doesn’t give me the right o say those awful things to you.”
“You’re right it doesn’t.” Ray tells him. “But I’m going to forgive you because I can and I also pretty awesome.”
“Thank you Ray.”
“You’re welcome.”
After sometime Mew finally calms down.
“You know this is probably the first time you’ve actually stood up to me.”
“Yeah… after meeting him… I..”
“The bartender from the gogo bar?”
“Yeah.. his name is Sand.” Ray starts. “I feel like I finally have something I want to protect.”
“His gorgeous and honestly I thought it was just physical at first but…” he trails off. Ray isn’t sure he wants to have this conversation with Mew just yet.
“I’ll introduce him once we talk things out. Ok?”
“Ok. I’m looking forward to meeting him.”
“Now let trash talk Top! That should make you feel much better.” Ray goes to call Cheum and Mew back from inside the hostel.
What they both hadn’t realised was that Boston had seen Mew kissing Ray, had taken a photo of them kissing and hugging and then posted it onto IG.
Something neither Mew or Ray notices until later….
—-
Ray finally gets home and puts his phone onto charge. He really hopes he hasn’t missed much from Sand.
His phone lights up and it takes a few seconds for Sand messages to come through.
Good morning. I hope your friend is ok? Let me know if you need anything
It was sent yesterday morning. Sand was the best. He was so kind and caring. Ray had spent all day yesterday with Mew and his friends.
Hey sorry I haven’t responded to you. Been crazy over here. I only just got home. Can we meet sometime today?
Ray wanted to see Sand. He wanted to continue on the date they had planned. It was amazing how last week he didn’t even know of Sands was existence but now all he wanted to do was be with Sand.
He smiles to himself while waiting for Sand to reply.
Hours past and he still hasn’t heard from Sand. So Ray tries calling him. It ring once and then he gets cut off.
Ray starts to worry. Was Sand angry? Was he being ignored? He sends another message to Sand.
Hey. Maybe you’re busy right now but could you let me know if you’re ok?
Ray tries to not panic. But he can’t help but run scenarios in his head. Scenarios that don’t end with him and Sand living happily ever after.
By that night he had still not heard back from Sand. All his calls go unanswered and his text left on unread. Panic was now coursing through Ray. He knows it’s a little stalkerish of him but he has Sands address so he gets into his car and makes his way over. Ray tells himself he just wants to check on Sand. Once he sees that Sand is ok. He’ll leave… maybe.
—
Sand is sitting at home looking at his phone in the dark. Ray has sent him 10 messages and has called him 5 times throughout the day.
He knows ignoring Ray isn’t going to help but he doesn’t know how to face his feelings just yet. He’s crush on the shorter man had grown to the point he thinks it was a mistake giving Ray a chance.
As he sits there contemplating on what he should do he hears a knock on his door. Sand is surprised. He wasn’t expecting anyone tonight. His roommate had gone home to his parents house, for some space after his nasty break up so he had been alone for the last few days.
Sand makes his way over and opens the door. When he sees who was on the other side, he tries to slam the door shut.
“Sand wait!” Ray pushes the door to keep it open. Practically forcing his way into Sands apartment.
“Ray leave!” Sand fights to shut the door.
“Please Sand. What did I do?” Ray begs him. “My phone had gone flat when I was with Mew. I promise I wasn’t purposely ignoring you.”
Sand tried to push him out again but Ray is stronger than he looks. Sand frustration grows and he lashes out.
“It’s fine, just go back to your boyfriend and leave me alone.”
“What?” Ray is so stunned Sand manages to push him out, closing the door on his face.
“Wait Sand! What boyfriend? Who’s my boyfriend?” Ray yells through the door.
“I saw the IG stories. I’m ok. Honestly. I said it was a one time thing. We can keep it as a one time thing. Please leave!” Sand tells him.
Sand locks the door and goes back inside. He isn’t sure if Ray has left but he soon see his phone lighting up.
Ray was calling him again.
Sand ignores the call and goes to bed. He was too agitated to think right now.
—-
Ray is confused about the things Sand says. So he checks his IG account and notice Boston had tagged him in a picture. When he clicks on the photo. He stills.
Shit! Shit shit shit shit!!!! Dammit Boston.
Ray was going to kill him. But first he had to explain it to Sand. Because there was no way he was going to lose Sand over a stupid photo.
He rings Sand. He keeps ringing Sand over and over and over. Eventually he starts pounding on the door.
“Sand open the door!” He yells. He didn’t care about the neighbours. Ray was going to talk to Sand!
After the 4th bang on the door. Sand finally opens it back up. Ray forces his way in. Not letting Sand get away.
“Can you stop?” Sand gives him a look.
“Please just listen to me.” Ray is begging now. He can’t lose Sand. Not before they’ve barely started. He needs to explain himself.
“I said it was fine.” Sand continues to look at him with eyes that spoke. They spoke of the pain Sand was currently feeling. “I know you’ve had feelings for Mew for a while now. You’re finally out of the friend zone. Congratulations.”
Sand eyes continue to give away the pain he is in. “Consider our night together a mistake. I’ve already told you to was going to be a one time thing”
“A mistake?”
“Yes..” Sand says clearly more upset than he was willing to admit. “A mistaken crush that got out of hand.”

I promise the next chapter will solve all the angst then it’s just fluff and smut.
Might take me a little longer to update as I have work the next few days but this will be finish by next weekend.

Chapter Text
“A mistake?”
Ray was heart broken. How could one of the best night of his life be a mistake. He had to explain himself now before he lost Sand permanently.
“Sand please listen to me. Mew isn’t my boyfriend.”
Sand looks at him like his isn’t convinced.
“I mean it. He did kiss me but I promise you. I pushed him away as soon as he got close to me.”
“But the photo and the post…”
“Boston is a shit and when I get my hands on him. He is going to pay for posting that crap.”
“…” Sand stares silently at Ray. “So you’re really not dating Mew?”
“I’m really not dating Mew. In case you forgot. I’m kind of obsessed with you at the moment.”
Sand smiles.
Ray walks over to Sand and takes his hands. He brings Sands hand up to his lips and gives them a light kiss. “I really do like you. A lot. I’m not dating Mew. How could I possible date him when I want to date you?”
Sand is looking at him like he wants to believe in Ray. Ray was determined to convince Sand to be brave enough and give him a chance to prove he was serious about Sand.
While Sand was still thinking about how to respond, Ray’s mind had already moved on.
“Is it wrong I want you naked in bed now?”
“Ray!” Sand hits him lightly on the head.
“What? You look so sexy all angry and jealous thinking I was with Mew. I can’t help but want to fuck you.”
Sand sighs and Ray chuckles. He didn’t really want to fuck Sand at the very moment but he liked getting under Sands skin.
“So…”
“So what?” Sand gives him a look. Daring him to say something sexual again. But he wasn’t going to do that just yet. Ray wanted to clear things up between them.
“Can this be more than a one time thing?” Ray asks. He thinks he knows how Sand feels about him now. The look Sand had in his eyes when he was trying to tell Ray he was fine with Mew and him dating spoke volumes. He’d never seen someone in so much pain shown only through their eyes.
“I really like you. And I mean really, really like you.” Ray tells Sand his true feeling.
“I know we’ve only know each for a few days but I’ve never had sex like that before. It was like we were made for each other. You felt like you belonged to me.”
“Have you ever felt that way before?” He asks Sand.
“No… sex has never felt like that for me either.”
Ray nods, glad that they had an understanding that this was special.
“Can you give me a chance to show you how good we could be together?”
“Ray. I…”
“Please Sand. I don’t want to give you up.”
“This was only suppose to be a crush I was going to get over. But now….” Sand looks him in the eye. Unsure of how to finish the sentence.
“Now it’s so much more.” Ray finishes for him. “I know, because it’s how I feel too.”
“I had a crush on Mew for years.”
Ray admits. “But it never felt as intense as it does with you.”
“When I first saw you. I wanted you in my bed. I have never felt like that with anyone before.” He tells Sand. “But when I was with you that night… it was like a connection had formed between us. I felt so content lying there with you.”
“Hmmm.” Sand hum. “I felt it too.”
“Good.” Ray is glad Sand feels it too. “Say you’ll give us a chance. Date me. Be my boyfriend?”
Sand stares at him with those big beautiful eyes. Ray could get lost in them every day.
“Ok.”
“Really? You’ll be my boyfriend.”
“Yes Ray. I’ll be your boyfriend.”
Ray hugs Sand. “Thank you.”
“Why are you thanking me?”
“Just for giving me a chance.”
“Hmm. You’re welcome then.”
They stay like this for a while, making their way over to the couch, with the arms still wrapped around each other.
“So now that you’re my boyfriend….”
“Let me guess. Sex?”
“Hey! We’re dating now why can’t we have sex?”
Sand looks at him. “Never said we couldn’t.”
Ray pounces then. While he didn’t really want to jump straight into bed right after confirming their feelings. He wanted Sand. He always wanted Sand. He couldn’t help it. The physical attraction was there from the start.
Sand laughs and tells him to wait. “Let’s shower first.”
Ray pouts. He didn’t want to wait. “Sand come on. Na nanana. Let’s skip the shower?”
“Nope you’re going to shower first or else you’re not getting in my bed?”
Ray is only pretending to be annoyed by the request. Sand could tell him he needed to clean the whole bathroom and he would do it. He was so smitten with the taller man.
“Are you going to join me in the shower?” He smirks.
“You jerk! No.” Sand smirks back at him. “Now go shower.”
Sand says as he pushes Ray towards the bathroom.
—-
Once they were both clean, they made their way into Sands room. Not bothering to dress as clothes weren’t needed for what they had planned. Sand and Ray were lying on Sands bed with their arms wrapped around each other.
Sand felt so content lying there in Rays arms. With his own arm wrapped around Ray. He wonders how his crush had grown to this point.
“Want to tell me what your pretty head is thinking?” Ray whispers to him, as his lips slowly make there was down Sand tone body.
“Mmmm…” Sand moans, lost in the pleasure Rays lips are bring him.
Ray continues to kiss him slowly. “I want to take my time with you tonight.”
“Whatever you want…” Sand isn’t sure he can think straight with Rays lips on him at the moment.
Slowly, Rays hands start to grab his waist. He flinches a little. “Ahh..”
“You’re so sensitive here.” Ray murmurs against his neck. Tickling him alone his nerves.
Ray continues to touch him all over his body. Sand feels slightly frustrated with how slow Ray was going but at the same him he felt like every inch of him was on fire, slowly consuming him from the inside out.
As Rays hand make their way to his ass, Sand yelps a little. “Ray..”
“You’re really mine now aren’t you?”
Sand is taken back for a moment. “Yeah I’m yours…. Are you mine too?”
“I’ve been yours since the night we first met.” Ray smiles at him.
Sand smiles back. He never felt so loved before.
Rays hands continue to play with his ass, eventually his fingers find their way to Sands rim. Slowly touch it at first, before sliding in.
“Your loose already?” Ray questions.
“I… prepared in the bathroom.” Sand is slightly embarrassed.
“That’s so hot.” Rays bulge grows even harder hearing Sand admit to preparing himself. “You prepared yourself for me.”
“Mmmm” Sand moans in response as Ray slides another finger into him.
“Gosh, you sound so good.”
“Ray….” He breathes out not able to form a coherent answer.
By the time Ray has three fingers in him, scissoring him open, the sound of lube squelching around the room. Sand is ready to be fucked by Ray.
But Ray is being a little shit, he wants to take his time and Sand can only go with the flow.
Rays lips slowly make their way down Sands body. Stopping at his nipples for a gentle kiss before going further south. Once Rays lips are hovering over his fully grown erection. Sands breath catches. Rays pumps his fingers faster into Sands hole.
“Ahhh… Ray… stop… I.” Sand mumbles, too absorbed in his pleasure to voice anything else.
Rays mouth take him all the way to the base. The tight feeling of Rays throat has him feeling like he could combust any second.
“Ray… I’m… close.” Sand is pleading now.
“Mmmm.” Ray moans against his erection. Not stopping. Wanting Sand to come down his throat. Rays fingers pump even harder and faster as his mouth sucks on Sand penis.
“Ahhhh…” Sand comes as Ray tightens his throat. Spilling himself into Rays mouth.
“That was so hot…” Ray whispers as he starts kissing his way back up Sands body. “Can you keep going?”
Sand is too blissed out to speak so he gives Ray a little nod.
“Good…” Ray smiles at him softly. Before kissing him on the lips. “I want to take my time with you.”
Their kissing starts off slow at first. Gentle pecks, Ray is laying on Sands face. Soon though the kiss starts to heat up. Ray is pressing Sand down into the mattress. Consuming him and all his moans.
“Sand…” Ray whispers to him. “You have no idea how much I want you.”
Rays erection is pressing against his stomach. Sand still loose from their early play, gently grabs Ray. Stroking his penis to help him with the tension.
“Don’t.” Ray commands. “I feel like I’m about to come, if you keep doing that.”
“Then come.”
“Not yet.” Ray looks him in the eye. “I want to come inside of you.”
“Ray…”
“I know we’ve only just met but this desire I have to fill you up is driving me insane. We don’t have to do it today but know that you do this to me.” Ray says to him.
Sand hand is still on Ray, slowly stroking him. “I want you to fill me up too but…”
“It’s ok. “ Ray assures him. “I’ll prove myself to you before we take that next step.”
Ray grabs a condom and slides it on. “For today I just want to fuck you into your mattress.”
Sand smiles. He has never felt so cherish before. His hand is back on Ray and he guides Rays erection towards his rim.
Ray slowly pushes in, testing to make sure Sand was still opened enough. Once Ray confirmed Sand was ok, he slides in until he bottoms out. Staying still for a second.
“Mmmm.” Sand moans into Rays ears.
“Fuck!” Ray curses. “You feel just as amazing as the first night.”
“I feel so full.”
Ray starts to slowly thrust. “Mmm.”
“Ray…ah… faster.” Sand tries to match Rays thrusting by moving his hips.
“Don’t.” Ray voice is firm. “I want us to take our time…. If you move like that… I won’t last.”
“Ray.. please.. I… need…” Sand is almost begging at this stage.
“Dammit…” Rays resolve crumble and his starts to thrust harder and faster into Sand.
They move together in sync with each other’s thrusts. As Ray pounds into Sand he can feel himself getting close. Not wanting this to be over Ray tries to slow down but Sand isn’t having that. Sand moves himself while underneath Ray, moving on his own to get himself off on Rays dick.
“Sand…” Ray moans.
“Come… Ray I want to come.”
Sand can feel Rays dick harden in him as Rays movement start to go frantic. Ray is pounding into him again. Sand feels himself getting closer and closer to the edge until he sees stars. He comes over Ray and his stomachs as he feels Ray pulsing inside of him. Filling the condom up…. Sand wishes he had given Ray permission to go without.
Next time.. He thinks to himself.
Ray slowly climbs off of him. His smirk already back on his face. “How was that boyfriend?”
“Hmmm… it was only ok.”
Ray smirk grows even more.
Crap!
“Since it was only ok.. guess I’ll have to work harder this time round.” Ray is pulling off the used condom and rolling another one already.
“Wait. You were amazing. The best… Ray!”
Ray is pressing him into the mattress again.
“…” Sand is left speechless. He is unable to stop Ray and they go at it for the rest of the night. He would need to put a restraint on his new boyfriend in the future.
—-
Ray is waiting outside Sand apartments. Today was the day he would introduce his new boyfriend to his friends. While he wasn’t nervous. He did want today to go well.
He wanted his friends to know how special Sand was to him so they would pull stupid shit again in the future.
They would be meeting at the hostel for private party. Ray was also hoping to show Sand the hostel as well. Something he was rather proud of. It was the first thing he would be doing on his own away from his father’s money and influence.
“Hey, got your head in the clouds again I see.”
Sand is standing next to him before he even noticed.
Ray smiles at his boyfriend. “My head is always in the clouds when I think about you.”
Sand laughs at this.
“Come on let’s get going.” Ray pulls Sand towards his car and they drive off towards the hostel.
“Are you nervous?” Sand asks him once they are on the road.
“No… but I do want my friends to like you.”
“And if they don’t?” Sand questions. “What if they think I’m not good enough for you?”
“You’re the best person in the world for me.” Ray assures him. “No one will change my mind about that.”
“I know…” Sand says but it doesn’t quite reach his eyes.
“What has gotten you so worried?”
“We really do belong in different circles…”
“And…”
“And I just don’t want them thinking I’m only with you because… you know.” Sand finally lets out.
“Because I’m rich and you work 3 jobs?” He finishes for Sand.
“Yeah…”
Ray sighs. “They won’t think that. I know they haven’t always been the best when it comes to me… but they really aren’t bad people.”
“I know…” Sand tries to explain. “I mean it, I do really know.”
“But?”
“It’s hard for me to let go of my personal prejudice.” Sand explains.
“Just take your time.” He says to Sand. “Today is just an official introduction… they all already know about you. Plus I’m pretty sure they also know I’m crazy about you.”
“Oh yeah?” Sand finally looks relaxed. “Why is that?”
“Oh you know… might have something to do with how I don’t stop talking about how hot you are when you’re moaning under me.” Ray knows this will get to Sand.
“You jerk!” Sand says playfully as his lightly slaps Ray on his arm.
“Hey. No hitting the driver.” He laughs.
“Then the driver should stop being silly.”
Ray smiles. “Trust me. My friends will love you.”
“I hope you’re right.”
“I am… do you know how I know?”
“Hmm? How do you know?” Sand looks at him with his big brown eyes.
“Because I love you.”
They smile at each other. Ray knows that this isn’t the best time to confess his love but he also didn’t want to over complicate it.
“Really?” Ray can tell Sand is trying to not cry. “You’re gonna confess your love for me while you’re driving?”
“So…” Ray grins. “Does me driving mean I love you any less?”
“Ray!” Sand is laughing now. “Pay attention to the road!”
“I will once you admit you love me too.”
“Oh… you’re pretty confident I love you back?” Sand asks with a cheeky smile on his face.
“I know you love me.” He is very confident. Sands emotions are always in his eyes.
“Guess I don’t need to say it out loud then if you already know.”
“Don’t be an ass, that’s my job.” Ray grins as the car gets closer to the hostel.
“I’m glad you’re aware of that.”
Once Ray parks just outside the hostel. He leans over to Sand, kissing him hard on the lips.
“I love you Sand.” looking Sand in the eye as he says this.
Sand looks back at him.
“I suppose… I feel more than just a crush on you now.” Sand says. Even if Sand hasn’t said the words out loud his eyes tell Ray just how loved he is. And for now Ray was willing to accept that.
Notes:
The story is now technically finish. Chapter 7 is just a bunch of small epilogue for all the unanswered things I couldn’t fit into this fic.
Like how was Boston punished for the post?
What happened between Sands room mate and Boston?
Does Ray actually have an alcohol problem?
What happened two years ago with Rays mum?
Does Sand ever say “I love you” back?
So feel free to either skip or wait for that.
Thank you to everyone who left a kudo or commented. They really help motivate me to write. Your words are always so kind.
Chapter 7: Epilogue
Summary:
Just random shorts from my fic that I either took out or wanted to write about but couldn’t fit them anywhere.
Please enjoy. The title of each short should explain what each one is about.

Chapter Text
Boeing
One Saturday afternoon, Ray and Sand are on a date at a record store. They are leisurely looking around for something new to enjoy when Ray brings up something.
“Hey… whatever did happen to that guy who was bothering you outside your work?”
“Ah.” Sand expression falls. “Boeing… he is my ex-boyfriend.”
Ray had a feeling that was the case based on the interaction between the two.
“Is he still bothering you?” Ray asks.
“No. Haven’t seen him since that night.”
“Do you think he will?” Ray remembers the words Boeing uttered as he left.
I’ll be back. We can talk things out.
He wasn’t too worried, he trusted Sand and he was confident, between himself and Boeing, he knew he was hotter. And at this stage… he was also confident in Sands feelings for him. Even if Sand hadn’t said “I love you” out loud yet.
Which was why, when Ray turned around to talk to Sand about a record he just saw, he was surprised to see Sand and his ex talking. Very surprised… borderline angry.
He slowly walked over towards the pair. As much as Ray wanted to storm over and lay claim onto his boyfriend, he knew Sand was able to take care of himself. Heck, most of the time, Sand was the one taking care of him.
As he got closer to the two, he heard parts of their conversation.
“Your new boyfriend doesn’t seem like his your type.”
“And you know this how?” Sand answered back but that didn’t stop the anxiety building inside of Ray.
I’m not his type? Ray thinks to himself. He had always assumed that Sand had also instantly fallen for him the way he had fallen for Sand. Maybe he was wrong.
“How would you know what my type is? You never once asked me what I wanted during our time together.” Sand says, bring Ray out of his thoughts.
“Had it ever occurred to you maybe you’re the one that’s not my type and Ray is.”
Ray smiles. It only took Sand seconds to clear his doubts and anxiety. Time to show possessive boyfriend behaviour.
“Sand….. why are you still talking to him… come on. I found a record I want.” Ray puts on his most princess voice as he drapes himself over Sands back.
“Just making my stance clear.” Sand smiles at him, as he places a soft kiss on Rays nose.
Ray is giddy. “Well now that he knows, you need to stop paying attention to him. Focus on me. Na? Nananana.”
Boeing starts to shift uncomfortably.
Good. Ray thinks, as he smiles to himself.
“Let’s go.” He voices as he pulls Sand away with him to pay. “I don’t like him being around you.”
“Oh… jealous are we?” Sand smirks.
“Please. Why would I be jealous?” Ray smirks right back. “I know I’m hotter. None of your exes can compare to me.”
“Right. Right.” Sand rolls his eyes but his tone is light.
“Besides even if you wanted to go back to him.” Ray looks Sand right in the eye as he says this. “I have not intention of letting you go. You’re stuck with me now.”
Sand is left speechless as Ray pays for his new record and leaves the store. Dragging Sand along. He had no intention of letting Sand go. No, he was determined to put a ring on it. But that was something he would tell Sand at another time.
Rays mum
It was Sunday morning after their date at the record store. Both Sand and Ray were lying on Sands bed. After another rough night, Sand was determined he was going to make Ray wait on him hand and foot today. Sand was so sore all over and he had marks in places he didn’t think it would be possible to leave marks.
Ray was insatiable and Sand was suffering from how rough Ray got during their love making.
He smacks Ray awake. “Get up!”
Ray jolts up by the suddenly movement. Almost falling off the bed. Sand gives him time to get his bearings before he speaks again.
“You need to help me to the shower. I can’t feel my legs and my back is so sore.” Sand sounds angrier than he actually feels.
Ray smirks. “Well it’s not my fault I had to prove myself. I only wanted to satisfy my boyfriend.”
“Well I’m not satisfied!” Sand grumbles. “Help me up, will you?”
Ray helps him to the shower and tries to sneak in but Sand firmly pushes him out. There was no way they would be able to shower together. Ray could never keep his hands to himself.
—-
After they got cleaned. Sand decided he would be staying in bed all day. His back and legs needed a good rest. So he lay back down in his bed and asked Ray to bring him some food. He was going to let Ray spoil him today.
“What do you feel like?”
“Surprise me.” He smiles at Ray. He never thought he would be like this. He was so damn happy at this moment. Sand knew that they still had issues to solve but he also knew they would tackle them together. He wanted to trust in Ray as well as himself.
“Ok. Just wait.” Ray left to go organise food. Sand knew he would most likely just order something. He doubt Ray knew how to cook anything edible.
As he lay there waiting for Ray to return he felt a sense of peace wash over him. Sand hoped that whatever was developing between him and Ray, the peace could continue like these lazy mornings.
Ray soon returned, bring with him some coffee. “Here.” He placed a soft kiss on Sands forehead as he handed him his coffee.
“I’ve ordered some breakfast.” Ray smiles at Sand while he drinks his coffee.
“Hmmm.” Hums Sand in reply. “This is nice.”
“What is?” Ray looks at him a little confused.
“Just this.” Sand points to himself and Ray. “I’ve never felt so at peace.”
“Ah.” Ray catches onto his meaning. “Yeah… this is nice.”
Ray pauses for a second.
“To be honest. It’s been a while since I’ve felt this relaxed with another person.”
“Not even with Mew?”
Ray looks a little surprised that Sand had mentioned Mews name.
“No…. Never with Mew.”
Sand can see the inner torment Ray is going through. “Hey. Sorry I didn’t mean anything by that.”
“I know…” Ray starts. “I just…”
Ray takes a deep breath. “I think you should know why my crush on Mew grew to the point it had… but I’m also afraid of telling you.”
“Why would you be afraid?” Sand tries to understand. “I’m not jealous of him anymore if that’s what bothering you.”
While Sand had been jealous of Ray and Mews friendship at first. After getting to know Mew and learning about what happened between him and his ex. Sand could understand. Having your boyfriend cheat on you can turn you into a bitter person. He himself had lashed out at many of his close friends when he caught Boeing with another person. He had already forgiven Mew for the kiss. Plus it’s really wasn’t his place to forgive. If Ray had forgiven him already, Sand was going to support his decision.
“No. I know you trust that Mew and I are just friends.”
“Then…”
Ray takes another deep breath. “Two years ago, I lost my mother in an accident.”
Sand knew Rays mum had passed but Ray had never told him the circumstances of what had actually happened.
“She was drinking a lot. And I mean A-LOT.” Ray emphasises. “To the point I don’t think she knew what day of the week it was.”
“Growing up, she wasn’t alway the best mum. She often left me on my own or left me to the house keepers.”
Sand just nods and listens.
“So by the time I started uni, she wasn’t really apart of my life. But she was still my mum. So whenever I saw her drinking too much I would try and get her to stop.”
“Ray…” Sand bring him into his arms. Hugging Ray tightly.
“That day, I just got home and she was already quite drunk. So I did what I would normally do. I tried to get her to stop. She wasn’t happy. She rarely was. So in a fit of anger, she took off from the house on foot.”
Sand can see Ray holding back his tears. “You can cry if you want.”
Tears start rolling down Rays cheeks.
“She left so angry. She didn’t…. She didn’t see the car.” Ray finally gets out.
“Oh Ray.” Sand hugs him tighter.
“If I hadn’t…”
“No! Stop!” Sand knows what Ray is about to say. “Her death was an accident. And certainly not your fault.”
“But…”
“No buts!” Sand is clear on this. “Ray you were not responsible for what happened.”
Ray sighs. “I know. I actually went to counselling after her death.”
“I’m glad.”
“It was actually Mew who got me to go.”
“Mew?”
“Yeah, we were already friends at the time and he saw how much I blamed myself for what happened to my mum.” Ray smiles as he remembers.
“He actually told me off when I said it was my fault. Much like what you just did.”
Sand hums but doesn’t say anything. He wants to let Ray finish.
“After he helped me with the counselling. My crush on him developed and it just grew.”
“I can see that.” Sand responds with a smile. “I’d probably develop a crush on him too.”
“Don’t you dare!” Ray is playful again. “You’re mine in case you forgot.”
“Silly.” Sand lightly taps him in the head.
Ray fights back and when they’ve had their fun, Rays smile drops again.
“He was really there for me.”
“I know.”
“But now….” Ray turns to look at him. “I have you.”
Sand kisses Ray softly as a response. “You do.”
Breakfast arrives soon. They eat peacefully in the kitchen and afterwards they make their way back to bed. After the emotional dump, they both felt like cuddling for the rest of the day would be nice. And so they do… until Ray sneaks a hand into Sand boxers….
Boston
Smack!
“Ouch! What was that for?” Boston looks stunned at having just been smacked on the head.
“You know perfectly well what you did!” Ray tells him.
It was Monday morning. Ray and his friends have gathered at uni for their final presentation on their hostel. But just before they present their piece, Ray needs to release some frustration.
“Is this about the post I made weeks ago about you and Mew?” Boston asks him.
“Yep!”
“That was weeks ago and you’ve already introduced your new boyfriend to us, so why am I getting hit now?” Boston exclaims.
“Just because I’ve forgiven you for that post doesn’t mean I’m not mad about it!” Ray knows his being petty but so what. He needed to vent his frustration.
“Oh!” Boston looks at him with knowing eyes. “Trouble in paradise already?”
Smack!
“OU!” Boston protects his head. “Will you stop doing that!”
“Keep running your mouth and I won’t!” Ray warns him. He was not in a good mood.
After the sweetness of yesterdays cuddle session with Sand, Ray had been on a high. That was until Sand kicked him out of his apartment this morning and forbade Ray from coming closer to him again for at least 24 hours.
In hindsight sight. It was most likely the sex after the cuddles that has caused the ban but Ray didn’t think it was actually his fault. Sand was just too irresistible. He couldn’t help wanting to thrust into his boyfriend 24/7.
No definitely not my fault. Ray thinks to himself.
That’s when he ran into Boston and remembered how Sand nearly ended things because of Boston’s post. Before he knew what he was doing Boston head was at the end of his palm.
“So you gonna tell me why I’m public enemy number 1 again?”
Ray sighs. “Sand said no sex for a week.”
Boston looks at him. Clearly shocked. “What a monster!”
“I know right!” Ray is actually glad someone agrees with him.
“What are you gonna do?”
“What else can I do?”
“Well you could..”
“Nope!” Ray cuts Boston off. “No sleeping with other people.”
“Please. I wasn’t going to suggest that.” Boston looks offended.
Ray gives him a look.
“Ok. I was but only as a joke.”
“Sure. A joke.”
“But seriously, you just gonna go with out for a whole week?”
“You make it sound like I had sex everyday before I met Sand.” It was Rays turn to be shocked. “In case you forgot. I was happy without any for a while.”
“True. After your crush in Mew developed you stopped sleeping around. Imagine my surprise when you hooked up with the bartender.” Boston said.
“Which should have been a clear sign I liked him from the start.” Ray says.
“I know but can you blame me?”
“What do you mean?” Ray is confused.
“You spend 2 whole years pinning after Mew only to give up within seconds of seeing someone random?” Boston explains. “How was I suppose to know you developed feelings just like that.”
“Boston. Mew had a boyfriend. That’s when I gave up. I wasn’t going to pine after someone who was attach.” Ray thought it was obvious.
“Well maybe… and I mean just maybe…I wanted you and Mew to be end game.” Boston admits.
“Huh?”
“You guys were always joined at the hips. You know each other so well, you could order food and drinks for the other person.”
“Yeah. So?” Ray is even more confused. “ I can order food and drinks for you and Chuem as well.”
“But you didn’t like us, like that.”
“Hang on. Is this why you posted the photo?” Ray was now the one in shock. “Because you wanted us to be together.”
“Hey. You know I don’t do relationships. Ok?” Boston tells him. “I just thought that if anyone deserves a happily ever after.. it was you and Mew.”
Ray isn’t sure how to feel about this. Boston shipping him and Mew was the last thing he had expected.
“Thank you.” Ray says.
“Huh? What for?” Boston confusion all over his face.
“For wanting me and Mew to be happy.”
“Oh..” Boston is now blushing.
“I may not be with Mew but know that I am happy.” Ray smiles at his friends. “Even if my happiness has currently forbidden sex for the next week.”
Boston’s rolls his eyes. “Never knew you were such a horn dog.”
“Like you can talk.”
“Hey, I’m not judging.” Boston throws his hands into a defensive posture.
Ray sighs in defeat. “I can’t help it. It’s like from the moment I saw him I wanted to pound into him like there was no tomorrow. Even I’m not sure why I feel the constant need to fuck him.”
Boston stares at him. Mouth wide open.
“What?”
“You’re the top?”
Ray is almost offended by the shock of horror on Boston’s face. “Yeah. What of it?”
“No. No. It’s just… I … ah…” Boston stammers. “It’s just… you kinda give off…”
“What do I give off?”
“Well to be honest. You give off princess vibes.” Boston finally states.
“Yeah. And?”
“I’m just surprised you top considering you think everything is a chore.”
“I see. You do have a point.” Ray admits. “I’ll be honest. In the past I didn’t usually top.”
“Figured.”
Ray glares at his friend. He continues. “But with Sand I just have this need to…”
“Stop!” Boston yells. “I don’t need to hear how much you want him under you again. That’s all you’ve said for the past few weeks, since meeting him.”
“I do not.”
“Yeah. You do. You literally introduced him to us as someone you wanted fuck.”
“That is not what I said!” Ray remembers exactly what he said and it was not that! “Hang on. I literally said I wanted him under me. Why are you surprised I’m topping.”
“I kind thought you were just riding him.”
Ray looks at his friend in silent. He’s actually not sure how their conversation has come to his sexual position but he can see it was getting out of hand.
“Anyway…”
“Anyway..”
They both stare at each other. Then they break into laughter.
“This is so stupid.”
“Yeah it is.” Ray giggles. While Boston wasn’t always the best of friends he was still important to Ray.
“I’m sorry by the way.”
“Huh?”
“About the post. I just realised I never actually apologised.” Boston explains. “When I saw you two kissing I just assumed you were together. I honestly didn’t think you were serious about Sand at the time.”
“Oh…”
“So. Sorry.” Boston bows.
Ray smiles. “You’re forgiven. You were forgiven ages ago.”
“Then why did you hit me?”
“I’m sexually frustrated. Sue me!”
“Well…”
“What you got an idea?” Ray knew his friend wasn’t going to say anything useful. But he gave him the benefit of the doubt.
“Why don’t you just bottom for him then, he said you couldn’t fuck him but not the other way around right?”
Ray doesn’t dignify that with a response. He just walks off.
It’s not like he hadn’t thought about it. He had. And if Sand wasn’t going to let him top for the next week. He didn’t actually care about positions. He just wanted to be with Sand. But he also wanted to show Sand he could be respectful. He wanted to prove to Sand that he wasn’t in this relationship just for sex. He was in this for the long haul. And if waiting a week is what Sand wanted. He could wait. He would wait. Sand was worth that.
Sands roommate
Tuesday was Sand busiest day. They started early, with uni lessons in the morning and afternoon and wouldn’t end until well past midnight, with a shift at his mums gogo bar. He hardly had time for a break let alone time for anything else.
Which was why he was surprised to find his room mate at home after he finished uni and went to get change for his shift at the bar.
“Hey Nick.” Sand says surprised. “Why are you home?”
“Hey Sand.” Nick answers. He looked so sad, Sand wasn’t sure what he should do.
“What’s wrong?”
“Just having a bad day.” Sand can tell Nick isn’t too keen to disclose whatever it was that was bothering him.
“Want me to stay?”
“Nah. You go to work. I’ll be ok.” Answers an even sadder looking Nick.
Sand makes the decision to call in sick then. His best friend needed him. “I’m staying!”
“Sand really you don’t..”
“I do actually.” Sand declared. “How am I suppose to leave when you look like this.”
“What do I look like?”
“Like a lost ghost floating through life.” Sand gives his friend a hug. “Come on let’s get you changed and dressed more comfortably.”
Sand herds Nick into the bathroom and prepares snacks. He isn’t sure if Nick wants to talk but he could at least be there for him. He calls his mum and explains the situation. She is pretty understanding so he knows he can take his time to help Nick.
After Nick showers and is dress in his pjs. Sand puts on a show and they relax and chat. Soon Nick starts to open up.
“I’ve met with Boston again.”
“Nick…” Sand sighs softly. He knew Boston and Nick had hooked up in the past. He also knew Nick had taken the relationship way more seriously than Boston had.
A month ago, Sand had come home and found a distress looking Nick crying at home. After explaining that his casual hook up with Boston had blossomed into something else. Nick tried to talk to Boston about his feelings. Only for the latter to break things off.
Nick had been a mess after that. It took Sand nearly a week to get him to leave his bedroom. Finally able to convince him to head home so that Nicks family could look after him. Sand knew he needed time away from Bangkok.
When Nick finally returned he was in much better shape. But now…. Things looked like they had repressed.
“What happened?” Sand asks gently. Giving Nick plenty of space and time.
“He came to my store. He said it was because his broke his phone but…”
“Hmmm.” Sand hums.
“He asked me if we could go back to hooking up.”
Sand was pissed. He wanted to deck Boston for crawling back into Nicks life. But he didn’t want to upset Nick. “What did you say?”
“I told him it wasn’t a good idea. I said I have feelings for him and hooking up just wasn’t enough for me.” Nick explains.
“How did he take that?”
“He said he would be willing to try for me.”
“What!?” Sand is speechless. “Boston said he wanted to go steady?”
“Yeah.” Nick nods. “I was just as shocked.”
“And?”
“And what?”
“Did you agree?”
“….I…” Nick doesn’t say anything else. Sand knows the answer.
“Oh Nick. If you’re taking him back why are you so sad?”
“Because I’m scared Sand.” Nick starts to cry. “ I loved him so much but he broke my heart like it was nothing. What if he does it again?”
Sand hugs his friend. “It’s ok. You can cry.”
Sand lets Nick cry for as long as he wanted to.
“I’m not going to sit here and pretend to know how you feel or tell you what you should do.” Sand starts when Nick has finally calmed down. “You just need to know I’ll be here for you if you need anything.”
“Thanks Sand. You’re a good friend.” Nick finally smiles for the first time since he got home.
“But still you and Boston huh?”
“Yeah. Who would have thought?”
“I hope things work out.”
“Thanks. Me too…” Nick says but you could see the doubt in his eyes.
“Just take your time. If you’re giving him a chance, let him prove to you that he deserves that chance. You owe it to yourself as well.” Sand offers.
“Hmmm. Thanks. I will.”
Later after they finish chatting, Sand sends a tired looking Nick to bed and makes his way to his own room. He texts Ray and tells him about Boston and Nick. He had asked Nick for permission to tell Ray and Nick was cool with it.
Ray response almost immediately.
Boston? As in my Boston? Now way. Not possible
Yeah it’s true.
Oh I’m gonna give him so much shit for this
Sand laughs at Rays response. He was glad Nick had found happiness again. He just hoped things would work out and if they didn’t. He would be there for his best friend. That’s all he could do in the end.
Rays problem with alcohol
Wednesday started off very slowly for Ray. He was tired after a long couple of days. Especially when he hadn’t seen Sand. After the Monday ban ended, Sand was too busy on Tuesday so it had been 2 wholes days without Sand. Ray was getting restless.
He was starting to crave a drink when his phone rang.
Boyfriend.
His phone lit up. With Sands photo.
“Hey boyfriend.”
“Hey yourself.”
“What’s up?” Ray was so happy to hear from Sand.
“You free this afternoon?” Sand voice sounded tired from the other end.
“For you always.” Ray smiles into the phone. He could see Sand again.
“Want to come over?”
“Sure.”
“Great. I finish my connivence store shift at 5. Want to come over at 6? We could have dinner together.”
“Sounds like a plan.” Ray was happy.
They hang up and Ray starts together his things to head home. Uni was over for the day and he wanted to get home and get ready for his date with Sand tonight. Was it even a date?
When he got home. He ran into his father, who started asking questions about uni and what his plans were after he graduated. He knew his father already had plans for him. And deep down he knew that he didn’t actually mind stepping into the family business. He had a good head for the business and he enjoyed working things out. One of the reason he was so proud of the hostel was because he could put his own input into it.
But for some reason he would always argue with his father about things. Even when he didn’t actually have a problem with it.
“Can’t you take things more seriously?” His father yells at him.
“I am!”
“You certainly have a way to show it. Why can’t you just tell me what you want to do?” His father is starting to get annoyed.
Ray hates feeling like this. Like his whole existence was a burden.
“If you don’t want to deal with me, then just say so!” Ray yells and storms off. He was done feeling like shit.
He knew it would be a few hours before he was going to meet with Sand but he couldn’t wait. He needed to be out of his house now.
Ray made his way over to Sands apartment. Lucky for him, Nick was home, so Nick allowed him to come in and wait for Sand in the apartment.
After Nick left to go on a date with Boston. (Something Ray made sure to poke fun at him for.) Ray was left all alone.
He saw the plum wine Sand was making and decided to try some. He didn’t think he was getting drunk but before he knew it, half the bottle was empty.
That’s how Sand found him.
“Oh Ray.”
Ray hears someone talking but he’s too out of it to focus.
“Come on. Let’s get you to bed.”
“Sbidbtlndiaidjrm.” Ray mumbles.
He then hears someone laugh. It was the most beautiful sound.
“Ok. You can just rest here for now. I’ll be right back.”
When Ray finally comes to, it’s already dark outside. He tries to find his phone but ends up rolling off the couch.
Bump!
“Ouch!”
“Ray. You awake?”
Sand walks out of the bathroom, with only a towel wrapped around him. Ray is hard almost instantly. The alcohol having warn off.
Sand laughs when he sees Rays bulge. He walks toward his bedroom and just as he’s about to enter, he drops his towel, turning to Ray with an expression that said Come get me.
Ray bolted toward the bedroom after Sand. He didn’t need to be told twice.
—-
Afterwards the two laid there, peacefully with their arms wrapped around each other.
“I’ve miss you.” Ray kisses Sands cheek.
“I missed you too.” Sand smiles back at him.
“Want to tell me why you were drunk in my apartment?” Sand asks but doesn’t push.
“I had a fight with my dad.”
“And do you always drink when you have these fights?”
“….” Ray doesn’t want to answer him. He knows he should tell Sand about his past with alcohol but a small part of him is afraid. He wants to be with Sand and he’s not sure Sand would still want him if he knew the truth.
His breathing starts to deepen.
“Hey…” Sand soothes. He slowly rubs Rays back with his hands. “If you don’t want to tell me you don’t have too but I’m worried about you. I don’t like seeing you hurt yourself like that.”
Ray sighs. Sand was just too caring sometimes.
“I’ve had issues with alcohol in the past. With my mum drinking the way she was… I …”
Sand continues to pat his back softly. Not saying anything, just listening quietly.
“After she passed away, my dad forced me into rehab. I hated it at first but it got better after a while.”
“Hmm.” Sand hums still softly listening.
“I’m not completely dry but I’m working on it. I don’t get as drunk as I use to. Only when I’m stressed or worried about something.”
“Like with your father today?” Sand asks.
“Yeah. Like that.”
“What about the night we met? You got hammered pretty badly that night.”
“I was… nervous that night.” Ray admits with a small blush creeping up his cheeks.
“Nervous? About what?” Sand looks generally curious.
“I really wanted you to come home with me that night. I thought drinking might help with the nerves but I was too focus on you and before I knew it. I was out cold.”
Sand smiles as he places a kiss on Rays forehead. “You’re so silly.”
Ray smiles up at him. “I promise, alcohol is not going to be a problem in our relationship, but I do need to be careful. I can’t keep running towards a drink every time I get upset.”
“How about this then?”Sand suggests. “The next time you get upset, you ring me and tell me. Not matter when or where you ring me instead.”
“Sand I can’t do that.” Ray feels so loved at the suggestion but ultimately. “It wouldn’t be fair to you and I can’t put that responsibility onto you. I promise the next time I want to drink. I’ll seek proper help. Ok?”
“Ok.” Sand says. “But I’ll still be here if you need me. Deal?”
“Yeah. Deal.” Ray smiles. He rests his head on Sand chest and listens to his heart beat. He soon drifts off into peaceful slumber. Feeling safe and content. He was so damn happy.
How Sands crush on Ray started
“Ahh… why is it only Thursday?” Ray whines as Sand tries to drag him out of bed.
“Come on. We’re going to be late. You have class and I have to deliver plum wine.” Sand smiles as Ray tries to roll back into bed.
“Why do you have some much energy. I’m pretty sure I worked you hard last night.” Ray glares at Sand.
Sand laughs at how cute Ray is being at this moment. “It’s called having stamina.”
“Whatever. I’m going back to sleep.” Ray rolls over.
“Nope!” Sand pulls Ray up but Ray flips them back down to the bed. Sand is now pinned underneath Ray again.
“Ray!”
“Shhh… you should have thought of this when you woke me up.” Ray starts to nibble along Sand collar bone.
“Ray. Seriously we need to get up.” Sand laughs as Ray tries to get underneath his clothes.
Ray gives him a look. Then rolls off him. “You’re lucky I’m not a morning person or I’d be fucking your brains out again.”
Sand rolls his eyes. Ray was so different to the boy he had first gotten a crush on.
—-Flashback
Two years ago. Sand was busy with uni and working 3 jobs. He was always tired and rarely had time for anything else. Which was why, when he had found his boyfriend, of 1 year, with someone else. He just broke things off cleanly. He didn’t want the hassle of trying to work things out.
If Boeing couldn’t talk to him before he cheated. He wasn’t going to waste his time now.
After a horrible week of throwing away all of Boeing things, life returned to normal for Sand. Back to 3 jobs and a university degrees he wasn’t even sure he should finish.
That was until he bumped into someone at his uni.
“Ah. Sorry I didn’t see you.” Was all the stranger said but Sand was immediately captured. The shorter man was the cutest person Sand had ever seen.
But before Sand could even respond, he was gone. Sand was left wondering who he was for the rest of the day.
As luck would have it. Sand didn’t need to wait long before he saw the boy again. His name was Ray and he was from the business department.
Sand was able to gather a lot of information very quickly because it seems most people at his university knew who Ray was.
He was the rich heir that use to get around. But then stopped recently. Rumour were going around saying his parent had choose a bride for him and they told him if he didn’t stop fooling around, he was going to get cut off.
Sand laughed at this. Ray didn’t look like someone who could be told what to do. Let alone someone who would listen if he was forced to marry.
Over the few months. Sand started to notice little things about Ray.
Ray didn’t like to eat in the cafeteria. He would usually leave the uni with his friends for lunch.
On days he didn’t have time to leave, he would have packed lunch from some fancy restaurant in Bangkok.
Ray was friendly with everyone but only 3 people could be considered his friends. Mew, Boston and Chuem.
Ray hated sports and you would never catch him at a sporting event. Even if his own department were the ones running it.
Those were the kind of things everyone knew. What most people didn’t know, but Sand noticed, was the way Ray would sometimes look so lost and sad. He looked like the whole world was against him and he was fighting for his life everyday.
Sand was intrigued. His little crush had grown since the first time they met but after looking at Ray from a far for so long he felt his heart waver whenever Ray got that look on his face.
Sand would often buy lollies and leave them for Ray to find. He sometimes left messages of encouragement with the lollies. He didn’t know if they would help Ray but he wanted to at least put a smile on his crush’s face. Sand knew that he and Ray would never be together.
A poor student with the rich heir was only for stories. He couldn’t afford to be delusional in his thinking. So he decided he would just leave words of encouragement from a far. He was too busy for another relationship anyway.
That was how he kept himself in check for two years. Sand would watch Ray from a far, would leave lollies for him to find, his crush developing more each day.
—-Present day
Ray is finally up and ready for the day. Sand laughs at how funny he looks wearing Sand clothes.
“Maybe you should head home to change.” He suggested.
“Nah. It’s comfortable.” Ray assures him.
Sand laughs at this. Ray certainly looked comfortable but it was so different to the look Ray usually had.
“Your hair is getting long.” Sand comments.
“Yeah, maybe I should cut it.”
“Nah. Leave it. I like it long, you had it this length back then.” Sand reminiscence.
“….” Ray stares at him.
Uh, oh. Crap. He panics.
“The last time my hair was this long was around the time mum…”
“….” Sand doesn’t say anything.
“You knew me back then?” Ray asks, curiosity seeping through.
“… time to go.” Sand hurries towards the door.
“Oh no you don’t.” Ray slams the door shut. Trapping Sand between the door and himself. “So you did know me?”
“….”Sand can feel his sole leaving his body.
“Just how long have you know me exactly?” Ray smiles grows even wider. “Not talking? Well then…”
Ray hands run down Sand stiff body. “Guess I’ll have to get it out of you in some other way.”
They don’t leave the apartment that day in the end. Ray finally getting the answer out of Sand about his crush that started 2 years ago.
I love you too.
It was finally Friday!!!
Ray was so ready for the weekend. He had been so busy with everything this week he was ready to call it. Luckily he and Sand had plans to spend the weekend together. He had a date planned and everything.
Since he and Sand started dating, they had spent most weekends together. Sand was often working during the day but the night was left open for Ray.
Ray hoped that by the time they both graduated, Sand could free up some of his time. His boyfriend worked far too much in his opinion.
As Ray looked around his room. He wanted to make sure everything was ready for Sands visit. He wanted it to be perfect tonight, to help his boyfriend relax. Sand had worked too hard this week.
It was nearly 6. Sand would be here soon. Ray was just waiting around. He was anticipating the night they would have together. Due to Sand request for them to not have sex this week. Ray had kept himself in check. Sure they had done nearly everything else but even though he had wanted to pound into Sand every time they were together. He held back.
He had found eating Sand out, rutting between his boyfriend ass cheeks and coming down Sands throat was equally as satisfying as thrusting into Sand tight hole. But the week was finally over and he wanted Sand. He wanted to come inside Sand. Filling him up until he was full.
Ray was starting to get hard thinking about all the things he would do to Sand once he got here.
He was so deep in thought he hadn’t realised Sand was late. Sand was very late. It was almost 7pm by the time Ray checked his phone.
No missed calls or messages.
He pulled up Sands information and started to ring him. It rang out before he picked up.
Ray was starting to get worried. In the time they had been dating Sand was rarely, if ever late. If he was going to be late, he would always ring Ray.
Panic started to creep into Ray, when he his phone started ringing. It wasn’t from Sand, but from April.
Why would April ring me? Ray wondered.
“Hey April. Now is not a goo….”
“Ray!” April interrupts him. “Get down to the gogo bar now. Sands in trouble.”
Ray is out the door before she even finishes explaining what had happened. He arrived minutes later, worried that Sand was hurt.
When he finally sees Sand, his panic diminishes. Sand was asleep in one of the back rooms on an old couch.
“He passed out from over working.” April explains. “My sister rang me because she knew I knew you.”
Ray is thankful. “Thanks. I’ll take him home ok.”
April nods and helps him get Sand into his car. Sand continues to sleep during the movement but half way between the gogo bar and Ray house, Sand wakes up.
“Hey you.” Ray places a hand on Sands thigh while he continues to drive. “I’m taking you back to mine. You need to rest.”
“I’m sorry.”
“Why are you apologising?”
“I missed our date.”
“Don’t be silly.” Ray assures him. “When you’re tired or feeling unwell. You need to tell me.”
Ray continues to pats his thigh lightly. “We have the rest of our lives to date. You need to take care of yourself first.”
Sand smile. “Thank you.”
Ray smiles back. They are nearly home when he hears Sand whispering something. “Pssddcnj”
“I didn’t hear you.”
“I love you.”
Ray slams on the breaks. He is glad no one else is on the road.
“What did you say?”
Sand grins. He leans towards Ray. “I love you.”
Ray kisses him. Glad that no one was around to honk him for being parked in the middle of the road.
Ray already knew how Sand felt but hearing it was beyond what he had expected. To have Sand confirm that his feeling were indeed reciprocated made him so damn happy.
“Ray!” Sand laughs. “Keep driving we can continue when we get home.”
“Alright.” Ray drives them home. He would have all night to kiss Sand. But he also wanted to make sure Sand got some rest. They had a lifetime of sex ahead of them. For now. Sand needed rest and that was more important. Plus he had finally gotten his “I love you” from Sand. Anything else could wait.
The end.
Notes:
Thank you so much for anyone that followed this story until the end. I had a lot of fun writing this. As the heart killer starts to air soon. I’ll probably dabble into that area of fanfic soon.
See you next time.
