Chapter Text

* The beginning of the story happens similarly to the canon with Pink in one of her tantrums damaging Pink Pearl and White taking Pearl from Pink as punishment and turning her into the puppet we saw, but things start to happen differently when Pink ends up being much more shaken by this than her original counterpart, enough to make her reflect more on her past and current actions;

* So in this scenario Pink starts trying to be a better person much earlier than the canon, so she starts doing her homework to be a good Diamond and get her Pearl back, including trying to learn much more than the other Diamonds try to teach her and in this she realizes the depth of how bad Homeworld can be for lower-ranking Gems and the Off-Colors themselves (which Pink didn't even know existed at that time);
- In the meantime Pink receives her new Pearl (our classic Pearl) and Spinel (An attempt by Blue and Yellow to try to improve Pink's mood);
- Pearl acts all proper, just like we saw in the beginning, but Spinel, as soon as Pink opens up enough to share some of her thoughts, starts giving Pink some wild ideas, which the Diamond initially doesn't consider, but this sinks into her mind later on;

* Of course, the discovery doesn't happen overnight, it takes a considerable amount of time for Pink to start seeing the tyranny of the Diamond government and even more time for her to accept the rottenness of the Diamond government and decide to do something about it (The time it takes for Pink to accept the fact that Homeworld is a mess and gather enough courage to face her sisters);
- It's during this period that she starts putting some of Spinel's ideas into practice, like using her transformation ability to pretend to be another Gem, let's say... Maybe a Pink Agate or another similar Gem to do things like find Off Colors stealthily or access information from databases that she doesn't want the other Diamonds to know she's accessed;
- Pearl and Spinel may end up being included in these activities, after some of Pink's solo "Missions", with Pearl following Pink in the same way as in the original show and Spinel initially participating in this as a prank on her diamond, also using the transformation to pretend to be another Gem;
- She, of course, does everything to keep up her appearance of being a good diamond for Blue, Yellow and White (She still intends to get her old Pearl back, preferably if Pink Pearl returns to her by White's own will, rather than in another and consequently more difficult way) and so that she doesn't raise suspicions, she also tries to bring the problems she sees in Homeworld to the other Diamonds, but is completely disregarded (Of course there is one more attempt to do so, but she stops as soon as she realizes that the others were starting to lose their patience and threatening to punish her);

* This is where things start to intensify, Pink under the guise of being another Gem begins to gather Gems to form a real rebellion, but still without doing anything significant enough to be identified as more than a defective Gem by Homeworld (She doesn't want her intention of forming a rebellion force to be noticed too soon);
- She's still pretty young and inexperienced, so even though she learns more fast than the canon and is smarter overall, she still makes some pretty bad mistakes (I haven't figured out what exactly yet) and believes she can convince the other Diamonds to change their ways with an army and words and doesn't consider the possibility of fighting a real war (Her intention is just to call Homeworld's attention to their flaws with small acts of rebellion), (Note: At this point in the timeline she's about 14,000 years old, while Blue is 90,000 and Yellow is 100,000 years old), so I kind of consider her to have the maturity of an incredibly spoiled 14-year-old (Sure she's trying to do the right thing, but like, she doesn't have a manual for being a good person or how to make a real rebellion);
- She also succeeds in setting up some bases around Homeworld and even finding a good amount of Gems for the rebellion from outside Homeworld;
- Of course, the fact that she's gathering Gems for her rebellion doesn't go completely unnoticed, rumors spread and White has certainly noticed that Pink is doing some things in secret, although she doesn't exactly know what and doesn't care enough to try to find out (She sees it as another game of Pink's and also doesn't mind Pink doing her thing as long as she continues to act like a Diamond);

* And finally the rebellion officially begins, with Pink with the identity of another type of Gem causing small confusions in a guerrilla format (Think of it as a middle ground between a strike and also a violent demonstration), not really a conflict of great proportions, but also having a dose of violence and sabotage, with the beginning of what Pink considers the first step to make the diamonds listen to her a tremendous success;
- This changes when Homeworld begins to intensify its attempts to crush the rebellion and have some degree of success in doing so, and it is at this point that Spinel, after making friends in the rebellion, finally begins to realize that this was not a game (when her friends made during the rebellion begin to be shattered);
- Homeworld's intensification of attempts to wipe out the Crystal Gems goes against what Pink expected (she may be smart and a quick learner, but she has almost no real experience in this) and turns her small rebellion into an all-out war before she even realizes it;
- There are some known Gems who are already participating in the Rebellion, such as the Off Colors that Steven and Lars met when they first went to Homeworld;
- In 150 years the rebellion spreads throughout the Empire, preventing the expansion of Homeworld completely and even causing it to regress, the three Diamonds are too busy dealing with the rebellion to notice Pink's involvement in it and Pink is disturbed by the fact that the three do not even consider changing the rules Homeworld in a minimal way to appease the rebellion, completely and harshly ignoring any suggestion from it;
- The Crystal Gems maintain the ideal of not shattering Gems, but this cannot be said of Homeworld, which becomes more efficient and brutal in dealing with the rebellion;
- This also causes the rebellion to split into groups with different ideologies (Because of how little result Pink's leadership was bringing to the rebellion);

* 300 years after the Crystal Gem Rebellion began, Homeworld finally begins to defeat the rebellion, pushing Pink to despair and consider new approaches (Note that despite the Crystal Gems being on the verge of complete defeat, there are still small pockets of rebels not affiliated with the Crystal Gems scattered throughout Homeworld and even some that fled the Empire's territory, but they are overall too small and scarce to make a real front);
- Well, here I have doubts about which route to follow, 1-I thought about having Pink reveal that she is Pink Diamond herself to the Crystal Gems and then try to surrender herself to the other Diamonds to spare the Crystal Gems and try to convince them to peace and relax the laws of Homeworld, 2-I considered Pink planning to make a broadcast revealing her identity to all of Homeworld to use her influence as a Diamond to show the rupture of the Diamond government and gather more allies for the cause;
- Regardless of what she plans to do, the end result would be the same, in the first case the Diamonds not listening to what she has to say and simply locking her up and continuing to exterminate the rebellion and in the second, capturing Pink before the broadcast occurred and Homeworld divided and destroying the rebellion;
- Either way, after 300 years of conflict, Pink would be captured, most of the rebellion would be wiped out, and a small group of Gems, maybe a dozen, would know the identity of the Crystal Gems' leader (She would have revealed the others shortly before being captured), there would still be small pockets of rebels that would still function for an extended period of time after Pink's capture, some lasting several millennia, but Pink's Crystal Gems would be greatly weakened (Don't worry, Spinel and Pearl would still be among them);

* The punishments decided for Pink are severe, being forced to watch the execution of several captured Crystal Gems from the moment of her capture, and later she is locked in the tower, with White threatening to shatter Pink Pearl if she tries to do anything, and so she remains trapped without knowing what is happening outside the walls, subject to visits from Yellow and Blue who end up hurting her physically and emotionally (Although this ends up diminishing over time and both soften and try to be kind), she remains locked away for 1,500 years;
- It is during this time that Sapphire, Ruby, Bismuth, Lapis Lazuli, Nephrite and their crew join the Crystal Gems rebellion;
- Garnet already exists at this point, being relatively new to the rebellion, she is one of the most promising recruits and has been gaining a lot of prominence;
- Bismuth and Lapis Lazuli were from another smaller rebel group that ended up merging with the Crystal Gems in Pink's absence (Lapis Lazuli originally ended up in this rebel group after being mistaken for a rebel, imprisoned and interrogated for a thousand years, but this group ended up freeing her, and with no other options she ended up joining them);
- Pearl would be the leader of the Crystal Gems during Pink's absence;

* The current Crystal Gems on the verge of collapse and cornered by Homeworld come up with a plan to rescue Pink, with Pearl, Spinel and unexpectedly Lapis Lazuli (because she understands a little of what it feels like to be imprisoned) being the most invested in it, with the others wanting it more because having a Diamond on their side would be a big deciding factor;
- The Plan succeeds, and the Crystal Gems manage to get Pink out of Homeworld, but at the cost of many shattered Gems, perhaps including a named character (I'm thinking mainly of Pearl, but I'm not sure...);
- During the rescue Pink succeeds in breaking Pink Pearl out of White's control and taking her with her (If a named character were to be shattered it would be at the time of Pink Pearl's rescue);

* From here on things get a bit blurry, with Pearl (If she wasn't shattered during the rescue) and Pink sharing leadership of the remaining Crystal Gems (Although there are a few Gems who remain angry with Pink it's far fewer than in canon, so there wasn't as much opposition to Pink taking over some of the leadership);
- During this part of the story they regroup, but find themselves greatly weakened and with Homeworld's oppression intensifying much more because of Pink's escape, they make the decision to leave Homeworld-controlled territory;
- The next 200 years are summed up by what remains of the Crystal Gems fleeing Homeworld and slowly losing their numbers to enemy forces, until they finally succeed in misleading them and arriving on Earth with just over 1000 Crystal Gems and with their only ship (a stolen cargo ship) damaged to the point of being unable to leave the planet;

* On Earth, they begin to reorganize themselves without the pressure of Homeworld, exploring the environment and gathering materials to repair the ship and with the injectors stolen from Homeworld prepare the planet to increase their ranks (after all, numbers would be necessary to defend themselves from Homeworld), in a hurry;
- It is during this period of time that Pink Diamond gets to know humans and the beauties of Earth more intimately, because of this she delays the process of creating Gems (Because of her studies, she understands the consequences of colonizing the planet) and this leaves many Crystal Gems dissatisfied, so a debate begins about how to proceed;
- During the next 100 years, only one hundred new Gems end up being created, however, with the increasing contact with humans, some Gems end up gaining more appreciation for the planet and then some human groups start to work with the Gems (which causes the portion of Gems who want to do a complete colonization to lose strength), so it is decided to focus on repairing the ship;
- Another thing is that since much of the Gem technology was lost during the escape, they end up being forced to rediscover much of the technologies that were lost to recreate them;
- Gem-Human Interaction ends up accelerating the natural innovation process of humans, which makes some Gems start to pay more attention to human innovations, although this revolves around more of a curiosity;
- The Benefits of interactions with Gems end up attracting more human groups closer to Gem settlements, it is possible to compare this with the beginning of the domestication of wolves;
- Humans end up being useful to the Gems as informants to better explore unexplored regions and as an abundant workforce (Of course, their physical strength is much inferior when compared to the Gems, but the quantity ends up making up for it quite a lot) and rarely end up having useful ideas, although this is so rare that it ends up not being recognized initially;

[Small warning: the things from this part onwards are basically the technological evolution of Earth and the Crystal Gems and the process of transforming the rebellion into a government, little about the plot happens, basically a summary of what happened within a timeskip that will return to normal even close to the time of Steven's birth]

* The Gem presence ends up accelerating the human technological development of the people who are in most contact with the Gems, just 200 years after their arrival, humans end up developing and using things from about 1000 years before their original counterpart, such as Silk Clothing, the Domestication of Horses, the use of Tattoos, Primitive Dice, Primitive Reservoirs and Primitive Prosthetics, which stimulates the normalization of interaction with Humans;
- It is in these 200 years that Pink has the idea of ​​trying to create Gems in a sustainable way on the planet, without consuming its resources and killing the planet, and based on their healing powers, the minds of more intelligent Gems begin the process of developing sustainable methods;
- After 4 centuries, humanity already uses Rulers, Dictionaries, Carriages and Scissors, with its cities close to Gem settlements having a Public Sewage and Sanitation System, Public Baths, Dikes, Fountains and even having Puppet Theaters (Things encouraged both by the Gems and by the migrations of other peoples closer), which makes some younger and more adventurous Gems begin to explore human cities in search of entertainment and the humans themselves create entertainment;
- Also after 400 years, more sustainable methods of creating Gems end up being more successful, thus allowing the increase in the production of new Gems, although they are still quite hostile to the planet;
- It is after 700 years of the Gems' arrival that Pink has the idea of ​​purposefully integrating humanity into their ranks, with humanity having already developed Seeders, the Distillation Process and the Lathe (At this time the number of Gems is greater than 7.4 thousand Gems because of Pink Diamond's sustainable methods, although the Gem production of a planet like Earth is 50 million);

8 - Eyeball works as part of Pink Diamond's security team, being a follower and great admirer of Jasper;
9 - Rutile Twins are Space Jet pilots;
10 - Padparadascha works in the police force, using her powers to solve crimes;
11 - Amethyst is a famous wrestler, being an undefeated champion for several decades;
12 - Pink Pearl is a stylist and fashion expert, in her hobby she practices self-defense martial arts;
13 - Fluorite is the director of a prestigious school;
14 - Rhodonite is a businesswoman who owns a fast food chain;

* It has been 2,400 years since the creation of the Gaia Conglomerate (or 4,000 years since the arrival of the Crystal Gems), and the space defense fleet now includes more than 50 warships larger than 20 meters and more than 40,000 functional Space Jets, with Venus also gaining a Defense Satellite network containing hundreds of satellites, and it is also during this period that the most prosperous Saturnian Moons, such as Enceladus and Titan, are colonized;

* Completing 3900 years of existence, the Conglomerate's Space Fleet grows to accommodate the first 50 Bullet Class Warships over 200 meters, Two Hundred Warships over 1 Kilometer, 5 thousand Warships over 100 meters, 50k Warships over 20 meters and 70 Million Space Jets, with Uranus and Neptune receiving 2.5 thousand Defense Satellites, it is also at this point that the Portal technology is discovered by the Conglomerate;
- It is during this period of time that the Conglomerate expands to all solar systems within a radius of 30 light years, with its Spaceships reaching up to six thousand times the speed of light;
- Also at this point in the timeline, due to conflicts between the Gem Rebels and the search team that Peridot was on, she ends up having to flee in an Escape Pod and gets lost in deep space, lost for several years, until eventually being found by the Conglomerate Space Fleet (which at the time Lapis Lazuli would be part of with a relatively high position... - It is during this period that several of the Conglomerate's superweapons begin to be prepared, such as the construction of the 88-kilometer-long Bullet Class Warship Planet Destroyer I, the ideation of the Neo-Life Project, and the concept of Energy Converter Bombs being created;
- Also during this period of time, the Conglomerate's population surpasses Two Trillion, with approximately 48.5% of this population being composed of Dryads, 24.25% being Uplifts, 14.55% being sentient AIs, 9.7% being Humans, 2.42% being Hybrids, 0.5% being Gems, 0.05% being Androids, and 0.05% being Mutants;
- Peridot, after centuries in the Conglomerate, became a full citizen, working as a Scientist specializing in Biology with Lapis Lazuli as her assistant (Lapis Lazuli changed jobs once again and became Peridot's Lab Assistant), and the creator of the Neo-Life project;
- Bismuth, meanwhile, led the creation of the latest Bullet Class Warship models with Dozens of Kilometers and the Energy Conversion Bomb concept;
