Chapter 1

It was midday on a sunny but cool afternoon , JD was hiking with her best friend Vlam , when the green skinned , purple haired troll face planted into the dirt.

" Vlam " JD called as she walked back to her " Vlam are you okay "

" NOOoooOOOO" she screeched as she turned to lay on her back " I'M SO HORNY. I WANT TO PROPAGATE OUR SPECIES ~ . I WANT TO FUCK ! Wait no , I DON'T WANT TO FUCK I WANT TO MATE. I NEED TO DRAIN SOMEBODY'S BALL'S"

JD watched her flail around like a toddler throwing a tantrum. Being so grateful that they were very far from the village so no one could hear her yelling.

" I got it " JD blushed

" No Ya Don't"

' Yes I do " JD rolled her eyes " I'm the same "

Believe her , she does get it . Her pussy has been having a heartbeat for the last two days . For Go-go trolls , their mating season is in autumn and they are intense. Way more intense then anything a Pop troll has . And what's terrible about it is the older you get the more intense and dang near painful it feels. JD doesn't know if it was because of her adopted family ( specially her sisters ) and her best friend's pheromones or the change in her diet from living with them but she hasn't been on the same mating cycle as other Pop trolls in years . " I don't know. Pop 's mating season is in the spring " JD answered as she helped Vlam up " But I've been on Go-go time for years "

" And you just now telling me . We could had been suffering together "

" Why do ya think I asked you to come hiking " JD giggled , as she helped Vlam dust herself off " Wanted to avoid people and I couldn't hide away . Clay and Viva are borrowing Rhonda for Putt-putt stuff so I'm shuck at Branch's"

Vlam listen as they began to walk aging before a glint reached her eyes " Wait " she said way to happy " I got an idea "

JD sighed at her friend , smiling as she does so before stopping to give her , her full attention.

" There's a party going on tonight . Right , so how about we go . Find someone to scratch that itch then huddle back at my place for the rest of the week " Vlam said pausing between every sentence to make sure JD was following.

She took a second before a smile cheeped onto her face. She haven't been " toy" hunting since her early 20's . It might be a bad idea but her pussy is aching so much that it could floor her. So at the moment she didn't care.

Trollex was at the table in Bard's temp pad after an insane party thrown by Poppy . Downing one of the many hangover remedies as he waited for his friend to deflate into the chair next to him.

" Dude , I hate myself " Bard groaned as she finally planted her ass at the table " I'm never drinking with Floyd aging. Pretty boy a heavy weight "

" Fucking tell me about it " he groaned too " I had the best fucking fin curling sex of my life and I don't remember the chick's name. I don't know if it was the alcohol or her that knocked that shit out my brain " He continued to whine causing Bard to laugh at his pain. Since she finished repaying her debt , Trollex found out that she's really cool . She's the only person that he could talk so crudely with , he grateful to have someone like that in his life.

" Damn , she was that good " Barb laughed as she shot back a raw egg " You don't remember what she look like or nothing "

" Nothing . All I remember is she got a birthmark on her stomach and a mole on her ass . Also that we vibe together very well"

" Hhhmm? Maybe she'll be the next party . Poppy throwing another rager in about a month , You could maybe meet her aging there."

" Really ? "

" Yeah " Barb was about to say something else but got but got cut off by a knock at the door and Trollex getting up . Trollex meet Barb's confused look " I order food"

Huffing she smiles " Now , you are one of my best friends "

On the other side of Pop-village a very nervous JD slam Vlam door close behind her . Tossing all her clothes as she made her way to Vlam's shower . Turning it on as hot as it could go then scrubbing. A tired Vlam rubbed her eyes , now awake from all the noise. Dragging her feet to the bathroom so she could talk to JD. She was barley in the door when JD throw the shower curtain open.

" I'd fucked up : JD said wide eyed , Vlam looked at her so confused . She thought JD was successful last night since she came over way later the Vlam did.

"Don't tell me you didn't use protection "

" What! No " JD said actually offend " I slept with Trollex"

" Okay and ~ "

" What do you mean and ! The dude a king and to make it worse one of Branch's close friends . If he found out , I don't know what he'd do " JD panicked as she dragged her hands down her face . Vlam grabbed her hands and held them . Doing deep breathing exercises until JD began to copy. Doing that a few times before saying.

" You know he can't just come out and say that , unless he wants to die by Branch's hands. So don't worry about it too much and please breath : she said trying to calm her best friend down , leading her back to her room " Plus we can worry about that later , come on . Here some clothes , so let's get some sleep before that " itch" comes back "

JD pouted but agreed , throwing on the oversize shirt and shorts she gave her . Vlam had everything preset up , with a mini fridge full of drinks , water and several baskets full of snacks and quick food.

" You're right " JD sighed

Vlam crawled into bed , John followed . They cuddled up close tougher , Vlam turned on the A/C , then they both fell asleep.

Chapter 2

JD spend the week at Vlam's place , dealing with the heat together until it passed. Once it was over she went back to the bunker , Branch was there playing with his daughter Maple . The pastel purple and light salmon hair trolling was just as happy and energetic as her mother. She was crawling all over Branch when she walked in.

" Sup " Branch said , staying focus on the paper work in front of him " How was your week long hangout"

" It was great " she aid as she was being tackled by the pint sized line backer . Picking her up and peppering her little niece with kisses . Feeling warm inside when the baby girl giggled. " We went to Yours and Poppy's party then spent the rest of the week hanging out at her place , eating nothing but junk "

Branch huffed , smiling as he went up to her . Grabbing his kid before giving her a quick side hug " Y'all need to cool it on the junk "

" Naw. So what we got planned for today" she clapped . Since getting back together , all the BroZone members been helping Branch . Which meant helping Trollstopia/Pop - village , whatever you wanted to call it.

Floyd is the one to help welcome in newcomers , giving them tours and helping them settle when Poppy couldn't do it. If he's not doing that , he's either modeling for Satin and Chenille or preforming for his forever growing fanbase . Clay and Viva are still the leaders of the Putt-putt trolls . The putt-putt trolls are extremely loyal and only listens to Poppy because Clay and Viva listens to Poppy. Viva is always helping her sister or father while Clay is doing his job as part of the building and safety committee . Also sneaking in helping people with their taxes.

When Bruce is here he's usually stuck helping Sover with planning the menu for special parties / events , but he mostly comes over to relax with family. While JD just does physical odd jobs and deliveries . Stuff that didn't involve her reading and handling really big numbers. She can budget for a family but not the high level math that Branch does. Today she was gonna be helping setup the new Swing trolls' ballroom . It was gonna be the biggest building in their area.

Branch told her everything she got to do before sending her on her way. Everything was fine but she was more tired then usual is . As time kept going and days turned into weeks , she started feeling more and more tired. Her boobs started to hurt , she had to go to the bathroom way more and the worst of it , food that she used to love made her absolutely sick.

Because of it her weekly exploring with Viva have become longer , what used to be an hour long walk turned into two. Cuase she couldn't will herself to move faster . She couldn't stand the smell of some of her favorite food and because of that she had to focus so she won't throw up. Which sucks cause she loved her brother's cooking and she almost cried when she couldn't stand the smell of Bruce's famous stir fry.

She finally went to the doctor when she caught herself after a dizzy spell.

After her visit with Doctor Moonbloom JD ran her ass straight to Vlam's place. Vlam was sitting in her living room when JD almost gave her a heart attack , by kicking her front door in.

" Well , Good afternoon to you too"

Without missing a beat JD said " I'm pregnant "

" Excuse me "

" I'm pregnant " JD repeated a little louder , throwing the parenthood pamphlet on the tiny table beside her . The doctor even gave her a small basket filled with egg care stuff . Vlam blinked once then twice. Sat her cereal down on the coffee table , slowly walked up to JD before exploding.

Yelling " YOU SAID YOU USED PROTECTION "

" I DID "

" NO YOU FUCKIN DIDN'T , YOU MUST NOT HAVE"

" I DID! I REMEMBER PULLING "IT" FUCKING OUT OF ME " JD yelled right back as she began to pace around the living room. Hands going straight to her hair as she continued to panic " Oh my muses , what am I gonna do . What am I gonna say "

Vlam calmed herself down enough to take JD's hands off her hair. Sitting her down on the couch then replacing her as the one pacing. Cause if John died then she's double dead cause it was her bright ass idea! John has 9 sibling that can and will honey roast her in a heartbeat . While Vlam was busy listing all the thing they could do , John wasn't listening , as the reality of the situation final settled in. Her world become quite as she rubbed her bully . She could be a mother . A real and better one this time and not a mother figure like she was most of her life to her brothers . Though they might not see it that way , which she couldn't blame them for.

" John are you listening " Vlam stressed

" No " she smiled. Vlam looked at her crazy but stopped when her smile fell . Instantly rushing to her side , hugging her to give her some comfort.

" John , what's wrong ? "

" I'm not getting my hopes up " she almost whispered " This happened before during my mid-twenties , it didn't last pass the 3 month "

" Oh my Laffy Taffy " Vlam pulled her close , rubbing her arm as she does so " so what do you want to do "

" I'm gonna wait … an-and if it sticks . I'm gonna be a mom " JD whispered teary eyed " I left so many things behind but if it true and they make it , then I'm never gonna leave them "

In a swift motion Vlam's hands were on either side of JD'S face , whipping away her tears . " If that's what you want to do then I'll be with you every step of the way"

John cried hard as she looked at her best friend " Thank you hunnybun"

" Anytime JD anytime "

They moved aging choosing to lean on each other as they got comfortable on the couch. " But what are we gonna tell brothers "

" In all honesty , I have no idea "

Chapter Text

When Vlam said she would be there every step of the way , she meant it. She was there helping with almost every odd job that JD had , which was weird was kinda weird since Vlam was known for not being a " manual work " kinda of person. Especially for the more physical stuff , but for John and her baby , she'll freaking do it. She would completely take over after making JD sit down. Smidge kinda found it weird but she just assumed they started dating or something so she didn't bring it up to Poppy or Branch .

If Vlam couldn't be there for a job , it would still get done just a lot slower then usual. Making her late for some stuff , which her brothers did question. Usually Floyd , she would just say she was working which technically wasn't a lie. It wasn't a lie at all , so she shouldn't feel guilty .

She was picking at her food at the weekly family dinner over in the bunker. She knew pregnancy would make it harder to eat certain food but it started to feel like she couldn't eat anything. John kinda assumed she could force herself to eat anything but every attempt ended in a B-line to the nearest trash can or bathroom. John was kinda zoned out , only half listening to whatever Viva and Poppy were talking about. Moving pieces and taking small bites of whatever she could . Clay wasn't interested, he was mostly thinking about his book when he noticed that JD plate as still mostly full.

" Hey John, are you ok " Clay asked . JD pop up like she was caught doing something bad . She stuffed some noodles in her mouth, gulping them down. Which was weird.

" I'm goood , never better actually" JD regretted that the moment she did it , cause she was struggling to keep a straight face. Clay examined her for a second , she was clearly sick but it doesn't seem like she was really sick. She'll ask for help a few step from passing out or something . Clay was being dramatic cause a couple of years together, the brothers have somewhat successfully beaten into John that if she need help , she better ask.

" You can check my temperature if you want " she put one hand on her chest , the other in the air like she was doing a solemn swear " My stomach is just upset , so don't worry "

Clay scanned her aging before ultimately taking her word for it. If anything he could just send Floyd or Branch to check on her , or just pop in on her , himself with a sick kit at the ready. Floyd and Branch noticed once Clay brought it up but didn't chime in . JD barely made it through the dinner , waving goodbye to her family as casually as she could. Once she was extra sure she was out of sight , bookin it to the closest tree and spilling her guts.

Floyd was about to give one of his tours to the newcomers , he just had to find them first. They were supposed to meet at the entrance but after waiting an hour he decide to go find them. He walked all across Trollstopia , until he decide to go out a little further . Floyd spotted the group across the way , about to walk into JD's meadow. He was about to call out to them when he heard a low growl . The group of trolls barely stepped into the when the growling got louder and the ground start shaking from Rhonda charging at them. Floyd had to drive infront of group to stop Rhonda from trampling them . The screams coming from behind him only made it harder to think of why Rhonda was acting like this.

" RHONDA! " Floyd looked pass Rhonda to a clearly just woken up JD. The armadillo bus was quick to join her , still glaring at the group that entered their meadow uninvited.

" Rhonda , Rhonda baby look at me . It's okay , everything is alight " JD cooed, then turned to the group " I'm so sorry about this ! My girl's a sweetheart I promise … s-she just being extra protective today "

" It - It's fine . Just lead that thing away " one of the trolls said . Great now JD was glaring at them , too.

" She's not a thing " the two sibling shoot back in unison.

"I'll take her but " she said as she glare slowly left the trembling troll that called her baby a thing " Here , I'll see you later songbird "

JD throw him a extra big bag of his favorite cookies , the ones that took extra long time to make , too, before walking away. The bag had to weigh like 3 pounds . Floyd was speechless , Rhonda never acted like that before unless she had a reason but he couldn't think of any good ones.

" Have any of you meant JD before " he asked as he turned to the newcomers . All if them answered no , claiming to have never ever heard of the woman before today . He was questioning it but all of them seem sincere.

" Okay then . Uhhh … here's a apology cookie " he said as he passed each of them a cookie " Our first stop could be the milk stand or your pods . I completely understand if you wanted to calm down after what just happened "

No one spoke up about going straight to their pods , to busy munching on cookies . So Floyd went on with the tour , choosing to ask question later . And as promised making the milk stand their first stop

Since last week's dinner Branch and the aviable BroZone members have been keeping a close eye on the eldest . Clay may have been the first to voice it but everyone noticed the changes with JD. She wasn't eating as much , if she did eat it was very small amount. Viva talked to them about how slow John had been lately during their hikes. But Branch doesn't believe that Viva knows the meaning of slow , though he has also picked up the slight change of pace from his sister.

Smidge hasn't mention anything but smidge is the kind of troll to only care about the job getting done , not about how long it takes. He was gonna still add tiredness to the list but he doesn't know how serious it is . Also noting Rhonda's increase protectiveness , something got to be up with John but no one could put their finger on it. And none of this was enough to justify dragging John to Doctor Moonbloom.

At the moment Branch was watching JD as she played with Maple. She was being quietly clingy, doing anything to stay in the same room as him. Which he didn't mind cause he could kinda play with Maple but still get work done cause JD has most of her attention.

"Come on Aunty " Maple yelled as she tired to pull JD to her feet but failing " Let's wrestle or go running or mess with Rhonda " The one year old was suggesting everything under the sun but John wasn't budging.

" Sorry buddy but all of that is off the table " she said as she lifted Maple off the floor , causing the trolling to cling to the arm she was pulling on. " Rhonda needs some alone time and you can't even wrestle . You always cheat"

" No i don't"

" Yes you do …. tickling ain't a legal in wrestling and you know it "

The purple baby pouted " How else can I win "

" By being quick " JD laughed as she swung Maple in the air causing the little girl to giggle " You're small and fast . The fastest little bugger I know so use it "

They laughed together as JD caught her and spinned her around . Soon sitting back down in her spot. " I'll do anything you want as long as it let's me sit on my butt "

" Even your make up " the trolling said with a glint in her eyes . JD paused for a second before sighing.

" Yes even my make-up " , with a sqeal Maple dashed to her room , mirroring Viva on a sugar rush.

" You know you're gonna regret that " Branch laughed

" I know " , not even a minute later Branch's tiny flower came running back in with a make up bag in hand . Watching as the two interact , as of right now John seems more then okay . If anything she's glowing and it's nice to see her like that . So Branch shroved his worries to the side , enjoying the sight of his daughter and older sister loving each other so much .

Chapter Text

It was at least 9 in the morning and Vlam was hating herself for not hitting the gym more often . Cause she was struggling , barely being able to pick up a bag that JD could sling over her shoulder on a bad day. Her legs were shaking from trying to carry all these sacks of glitter that was gonna be use for music knows what. Cause for some reason , all trolls can't go a day without freaking glitter.

" You know I can help , I still got like 3 months before I can't do that "

" Stay your muscle brain head there " Vlam shot back giving John a mean glare as she fumbles with a sack. She was already annoyed as hell from doing this in general , no to mention so early in the morning .

" Honeybun , come on . This will move faster if the both of us do this " JD tired to get up , only to be glared back down by a very pissy go-go troll.

" I don't give a fuck " she said turning back to her work , neither of them noticing the rustle from the bushes beside them.

" Then what do you want me to do "

" I don't know . Sit over there and think of baby names or some ~ " the last part die on her tongue as she spotted Copper's goofy face looking at them . John was confused on why she stopped talking but she soon noticed a green hat from the corner of her eye. Copper came completely out of the bushes , looking at Vlam then to John then back to Vlam , aging . Copper was gonna say something but she saw the silent fury on Vlam's face and choose to take a couple steps back.

" Copper " Vlam said in a growly voice " No . don't you step back , COPPER ! "

The prince didn't know if it would be a good idea to run or not , cause by the reactions he could tell he just heard something he wasn't supposed to. He took another step back earning a look from Vlam , like she was ready to pounce .

" Vlam chill " JD said as she got in-between them " Look, Copper how much did you hear "

Copper may not be the smartest troll of all time but he ain't as dumb as some people like to think . He can put context clues together .

" I heard you talking about baby names " he admitted , stepping a little closer to JD as he asked " John Dory are you pregnant ? "

From the way Vlam flinched and how JD avoided eye contact , Cooper took that as a yeah .

" Does Branch and Poppy know ? "

JD took a deep breath in , blow it out slow before looking into Cooper's eye " I'll tell you but you have to promise . Pinky promise that everything I tell you will not be repeated to anyone . I mean it Cooper , not a soul ."

She reached out her pinky , Cooper hesitated but accepted . The whole thing wasn't as big or explosive as Poppy and Biggie's , but the promise was sealed . JD went on to explain everything she thought he needed to know , which wasn't much . Telling him about her first , then her ( barely existent ) plan .

" So you're not gonna tell anybody until it's been 3 months " Copper questioned

" Yup , It would be better for everyone that way. My last one disappeared exactly at 3 months so if it makes it then I'll scream I'm pregnant from the rooftops "

" Bur what if it don't . What will you tell your brothers "

" I don't know Coop " the sadness was evident in her voice . Maybe she would never tell them , it could be one of the many things that she would take to her grave or talk to a therapist about . But she couldn't stomach the idea of how her brothers would look at her , would it be pity or disgust . Would they understand ? JD trust that they would understand but the ugly voice in the back of her mind , continued to whisper " they wouldn't care " . They all have lives , things to do and they can't keep dropping everything to help her , they already did so much . So she's not gonna let them worry about this.

Cooper gave her a hug . One of understanding and hope , squeezing John to reassure her .

" Thanks Cooper "

" It all good and I won't tell … but do y'all want some help " he said as he looked up from her and to the pile of unmoved glitter sacks.

" Nope " Vlam pooped the P " We go this . You probably got alot of prince stuff to do "

JD rolled her eyes at her best friend " It' s cool , we got this . You go do your thing "

With that JD gently pushed Copper back the way he came , in a similar matter she would have done with a baby Branch . Waving him off , giving him a smile when he looked back . Once he disappeared she turned back to her work , cracking her knuckles and rolling her shoulders . John didn't care what Vlam got to say , it was time to get this work done .

It's been 3 days since Cooper found out the big secret . JD trusted him but Vlam. Vlam was a whole different story . Usually Cooper and Vlam would get along but knowing that her eyes were following him , kinda made him nervous. Even right now , when she's begging , for some reason she still made him nervous .

" Please , Cooper . Pretty Please " Vlam begged. She kidnapped him as he was walking passed her pod and dragged him back to it.

" Why don't you just tell Branch or Poppy " he whined . It hasn't been long but the secret had been eating him alive . He never felt so terrible but he made a promise .

" You know why , 3 month then she'll tell but right now you are the only other person to know and I need your help " Vlam already had both hands clasped together as she continued to pleaded with him . She had a emergency at her club that really needed her . She just needed a Dorysitter for a couple of hours .

" Please Copper " Vlam gave her best cuddle puppy eyes.

Cooper tired not to be convinced but her puppy eyes were just to strong.

" Fine "

" Thank you , Thank you , Thank you ! Thank you so Much Cooper " She said as she rushed around , gathering her stuff . Only coming back to say " Also if she tired to baby you please just let her , I promise it's not that bad " before rushing off.

Copper didn't get to react to that information before she was gone. Leaving him in a pod by himself with JD. He has spent time with JD before but that was always with someone else acting as a buffer. Literally , she and Bruce are the only members that he hadn't had a second of one on one time with , even just for a couple minutes. He's not sure if he can handle this.

" Hey "Cooper said as he creeped into the living room , where John was whittling something.

" Hey , Cooper ! " How it going " She greeted him cheerfully . Maybe this won't be to bad.

At first ( mostly for Cooper ) it was kinda awkward but it soon turned . They talked and laughed , played board games and showed each other some useless skills they had. Asked each other questions about random stuff . In the 3 hours that Vlam was away , they made bracelets , John whittled him a baby otter , Cooper taught her some funk music and they talked about anything and everything they could think of.

" Guys , I'm back " Vlam yelled to no answer. The two were playing ' Head Up ' " Look like y'all are having fun " she said as she put a bag out of take out down.

" Yeah , oh , thank you " Cooper said surprised since was handing hi a take out plate.

" Hey Coop , have you ever watched SlowDown " JD said between mouth full of food , she was already tearing through her plate. He answered " Nope " , causing the both women to smile wide. He didn't know how but he end up spending most of his day with these two women , only leaving when he got an email from Biggie asking where he was.

Vlam never kidnapped him aging but whenever he saw both or either of them out in public , he would go out his way to say hi. He was doing it so often that his other friends started to ask and he would just say " They're real cool " .

One day he saw Vlam pacing outside her pod , JD was feeling extra sick that day but another emergency hit her club. That day marks the start of Cooper volunteering to Dorysit.

Two times a week for three weeks , Cooper and JD would hangout . Cooper didn't expect it but somehow they just clicked. She become a big sister / mother friend . Like Poppy and DJ Suki have always been like his sisters , DJ acting like the mom of the group when Poppy got to excited but yeah. John was different from them though , older and easier to talk to about more abstract stuff. She was the in-between of Suki's chill , Poppy's hyper and Branch's weird , and it was just fun to hear her talk.

It was one of those times aging , they were talking in the living room of Rhonda. When in passing Cooper said " he needs to get his hair redone "

" Can I do it " JD asked

" Huh "

" Can I do it . I've been researching _ well watching videos and asking around about different genres' hair . You know since my kid won't be fully pop and I've use to do my brothers' hair . But if it make you uncomfortable then forget about it. " \

Cooper thought about it for a moment before shrugging " Sure , why not "

" Awesome , one sec " JD got up and started to gather stuff . When she was done she came back to the living room. She placed a fluffy pillow in front of the couch , placed all the combs , brushes and products on the couch . Lastly placing some of Cooper's favorite snakes beside the pillow . Wow , she came prepared .

" Come one" She said as she patted the pillow in front of her.

" Okay " he said as he slowly sat down . JD passed him the remount and they watched cartoons as JD did his hair . Which he expected to hurt , it took the local hair dresser a minute to figure out his hair . It wasn't like his hair was much different from DJ's but he was sensitive headed , his was weirdly dense and quick to dry. Before Funk town was settled it use to be a pain to get his hair done.

It may have took a couple hours but she got it done . Cooper was focus on his show and chips that he didn't catch JD saying done. She tapped his shoulder and passed him a hand mirror.

" Wow " Cooper smiled . It looked good , not in the trying to be polite type of way but in the this actually looks good kind of way.

She smiled proudly as she got up to stretch her legs and back.

" Dude , I'm so glad " she said as she pretend to whip sweat from her brow . Cooper gave her a big hug before checking the time and yelling " Bye John , see you later " as he ran out the door , going to meet the snackpack at the County Corral.

" Fine "

" Thank you , Thank you , Thank you ! Thank you so Much Cooper " She said as she rushed around , gathering her stuff . Only coming back to say " Also if she tired to baby you please just let her , I promise it's not that bad " before rushing off.

Copper didn't get to react to that information before she was gone. Leaving him in a pod by himself with JD. He has spent time with JD before but that was always with someone else acting as a buffer. Literally , she and Bruce are the only members that he hadn't had a second of one on one time with , even just for a couple minutes. He's not sure if he can handle this.

" Hey "Cooper said as he creeped into the living room , where John was whittling something.

" Hey , Cooper ! " How it going " She greeted him cheerfully . Maybe this won't be to bad.

At first ( mostly for Cooper ) it was kinda awkward but it soon turned . They talked and laughed , played board games and showed each other some useless skills they had. Asked each other questions about random stuff . In the 3 hours that Vlam was away , they made bracelets , John whittled him a baby otter , Cooper taught her some funk music and they talked about anything and everything they could think of.

" Guys , I'm back " Vlam yelled to no answer. The two were playing ' Head Up ' " Look like y'all are having fun " she said as she put a bag out of take out down.

" Yeah , oh , thank you " Cooper said surprised since was handing hi a take out plate.

" Hey Coop , have you ever watched SlowDown " JD sais between mouth fulls of food , she was already tearing through her plate. He answered " Nope " , causing the both women to smile wide. He didn't know how but he end up spending most of his day with these two women , only leaving when he got an email from Biggie asking where he was.

Vlam never kidnapped him aging but whenever he saw both or either of them out in public , he would go out his way to say hi. He was doing it so often that his other friends started to ask and he would just say " They're real cool " .

One day he saw Vlam pacing outside her pod , JD was feeling extra sick that day but another emergency hit her club. That day marks the start of Cooper volunteering to Dorysit.

Two times a week for three weeks , Cooper and JD would hangout . Cooper didn't expect it but somehow they just clicked. She become a big sister / mother friend . Like Poppy and DJ Suki have always been like his sisters , DJ acting like the mom of the group when Poppy got to excited but yeah. John was different from them though , older and easier to talk to about more abstract stuff. She was the in-between of Suki's chill , Poppy's hyper and Branch's weird , and it was just fun to hear her talk.

It was one of those times aging , they were talking in the living room of Rhonda. When in passing Cooper said " he needs to get his hair redone "

" Can I do it " JD asked

" Huh "

" Can I do it . I've been reseaching _ well watching videos and asking around about different genres' hair . You know since my kid won't be fully pop and I've use to do my brothers' hair . But if it make you uncomfortable then forget about it. " \

Cooper thought about it for a moment before shrugging " Sure , why not "

" Awesome , one sec " JD got up and started to gather stuff . When she was done she came back to the living room. She placed a fluffy pillow in front of the couch , placed all the combs , brushes and products on the couch . Lastly placing some of Cooper's favorite snakes beside the pillow . Wow , she came prepared .

" Come one" She said as she patted the pillow in front of her.

" Okay " he said as he slowly sat down . JD passed him the remount and they watched cartoons as JD did his hair . Which he expected to hurt , it took the local hair dresser a minute to figure out his hair . It wasn't like his hair was much different from DJ's but he was sensitive headed , his was weirdly dense and quick to dry. Before Funk town was settled it use to be a pain to get his hair done.

It may have took a couple hours but she got it done . Cooper was focus on his show and chips that he didn't catch JD saying done. She tapped his shoulder and passed him a hand mirror.

" Wow " Cooper smiled . It looked good , not in the trying to be polite type of way but in the this actually looks good kind of way.

She smiled proudly as she got up to stretch her legs and back.

" Dude , I'm so glad " she said as she pretend to whip sweat from her brow . Cooper gave her a big hug before checking the time and yelling " Bye John , see you later " as he ran out the door , going to meet the snackpack at the County Corral.

Clay was hosting another Sad Book Club meeting and he couldn't help but noticed how weird John was acting . She brought him a toddler sized bag full of snacks ( some he haven't ate since he was a child ) , passed out the books to everyone and before he was even there , she cleaned the entire room. The place was spotless , it was kinda unnerving .

She even sat closer to him and cried more then she usually does. It wasn't ugly crying but it was a cousin to it. Once it was done and the other members were gone . Clay and JD were left to put away the cushions.

Clay was turned away from her , not seeing her fumble with her fingers as she tired to work up some courage.

" Hey Clay " she said softly

" Yeah , what's up "

" Can I have a hug "

A record scratched in his mind . Yeah , they all been together for a while now and the do hug but JD barely went out her way to get a hug . Like Branch , she was kinda touch avoided with most people and Clay usually doesn't hug her unless it was hug time and she was the closest.

" Um , yeah sure " Clay question as he opened his arm. She rushed into them . She held him like she was trying to pour ever ounce of love that she had i her body into him. It was warm and Clay was getting teary eyed. He doesn't understand what was happening , but damn does he feel it . He had to look up for a second to clear the tears from his eyes.

" Are you ok John , do you need me to call Branch or Floyd " he said , keeping his voice leveled but on the inside kinda freaking out cause something got to be wrong if she's doing this.

" Nope , I'm good " JD said as she pulled back , letting him go " I just wanted to hug you "

Clay didn't know how to response to that.

" Anyway , I'm making crawfish bowls tomorrow . If it turns out good you and Vi better expect a couple of bowls " She said as she began to leave " Bye , Love you "

Leaving a very confused Clay to review and maybe relay all of what just happened to his brothers.

Chapter Text

Darnell was visiting his brother in Pop Village once aging. Listening to his brother as he rambled about his lastest adventure with his friends .Walking back from one of the many raves being held at the Techno Lagoon when Cooper spotted JD in the distance. Who was carrying some heavy looking bags. 

" Hey John " He yelled as he ran up to her , Darnell trailing not to far behind " Here let me get that for you " 

He didn't let her argue before taking the bags away . Darnell didn't know Dory and Coop was so close but they must be from how they were greeting each other. 

" Let us walk you back to Rhonda " , when JD accepted Cooper then positioned her in between himself and Darnell . Talking away like he didn't have a bunch of bags in his month. He was being cautious of her space , matching her speed and all. 

D was wondering why Coop was being so protective , until he saw it . JD's vest moved out the way for a bit , showing a glimps of JD's slightly hard baby bump. They walked her all the way to her pet bus before heading bac to the village , to go to another party. 

It was a casual picnic thing being held by the Classical music trolls . While Cooper was busy talking to Biggie , Darnell went to talk to Branch and his family . Poppy and Viva were the first to and most excited to greet him. Branch gave him thier signature fist bump while Clay and Floyd gave him soft helloes. 

Before Prince D came along the family was talking about what possible could be wrong with John. Clay told them about the lastest book club meeting and they all noticed how much time she been spending with Cooper. So something got to be up.

Poppy and Viva were sure that she was throwing a party cause they saw her with some craft paper , glitter and streamers. Branch thinks it has to be something else cause Cooper wouldn't have been able to keep it a secret for this long. Floyd was gonna add something but they all changed the subject the moment Prince D came into view. 

They talked for a few , catching up and everything when Prince D dropped the question. 

" So when is JD's baby shower ? Are you going to go big like you did for Mable " All the brothers' necks snapped towards him. That was not the reaction he was expecting " I was just wondering cause I wanted to send some stuff with Cooper . That's all " 

" No , that not it D. If we were having a baby shower of course you' ll be invited but John's not pregnant " Poppy said more then a little confused. 

" Oh , um " he said back . From the shape and hardness , he was sure that JD was pregnant. That was a classic baby dump but he could be wrong. " Well if you're sure then nevermind . Also sorry , I shouldn't have assumed " 

" It's okay " 

The table stayed quite until Clay's eyes went wide. He vaulted himself over the table , running to where Darnell and Cooper just came from . Quickly followed by his brothers and the Pop sisters. Watching them as they disappeared into the distance as his own brother came to stand next to him. 

" Yo Coop , JD's pregnant . Right ? " he asked as he turned to his brother , who was looking at him with troubled eyes " Alright , I feel like I fucked up somewhere" 

Clay was the first to make it to Rhonda , throwing open her door so he could look for his sister. 

JD was hunched over the trash can in the bathroom when she heard the door dang , along with Clay screaming her name. She wasn't ready to see anyone , her vest was in the living room while any other clean clothes were in her bedroom which was to far away at the moment. He sounded stressed so she decide it was okay to greet him like this. In a oversized wifebeater that had the smallest amount of throw up on it. She struggled to pull herself off the floor but she did it . Cleaning herself up as best she could before going in to calm Clay down. 

" Hey ! Little brother , what's up " she said as she slowly walked towards the couch.

Relaxing when she got there just as the rest of the family minus Bruce came troppling in. 

" Are you pregnant " 

Well , so much for relaxing. 

" Are you or are you not pregnant John " Clay repeats 

" Well kinda " 

" What do you mean kinda . You can't kinda be pregnant. That's not something you can kinda do " Floyd stressed, getting a bit loud . From his eyes to his tone , it was clear that he wasn't up for any nonsense. 

" Okay … yeah , I am " 

" Why didn't you say anything " " That's why you were acting weird " When did you get pregnant " Everyonr started talking over each other , trying to get JD to answer thier questions . Needing her to explain herself . 

She pushed her hair out her face , dreading that this was the way that she had to come clean. 

" The reason that I've been hiding it from you is because my first pregnancy disappered around this time . I have a doctors appointment to make sure that everything is okay. I was going to announce it next week at the 3 ½ month mark over dinner … you know .. when Bruce would be here , too. “ 

Everyone was still reeling back from the pregnancy disappearance thing to care about the later part. 

" You had a miscarriage " Poppy said shocked. 

" Wait ,Wait , wait . So we have been back together for almost 3 years now and not once did you ever think to bring up the face that you had a miscarriage " Branch said equally, if not more shocked then Poppy . 

" Well , it's not something you casually bring up now is it " 

" Why didn't you say anything … I-I thought you finally trusted us " Floyd said clearly hurt . 

" Wait Floyd come here " John said as she open her arms to hug him. He moved closer and when he was close enough she pulled him down. Hugging him as she explained , rubbing circles on his back like she would do when he was a child. " I didn't want to tell you like this . I even made custom cards " 

She reached into her hair , then handed him a pink envelope with his name and a tiny drawing of him in the corner . 

" I even had Vlam check my spelling . " She smiled as he looked at it before turning to the others " Now you two bring it it " She order Viva and Clay. Viva was quick to get her hug , laying her head on John's lap , letting John pet her head as she tired not to freak out . Freaking out wasn't really her thing but it just feels right at the moment . Clay moved closer but stayed just out of reach so JD couldn't pull him. 

" John I've seen you run around town , and lift shit for us like you're not a pregnant women . Oh my god , your body must be under so much stress and crap for doing all that crap for us " 

" Vee , don't worry . I'm fine . Been eating and doing everything the doctor has told me . I may have some morning sickness but other then that I'm completely fine" 

" Are you sure " 

" Yes . I'm sure but if you could drag your boyfriend over here to get a hug and his card that would be great " 

Soon Viva replaced herself with Clay. Pushing the reluctant man into JD's grasp , watching as he relaxed when he felt and heard the soft and low purrs . 

" That cheating " He yawned 

" No its not . Cheating would be having Viva do it " 

JD put Clay's card in his hair , then passed the rest to Viva. Her name was written in glitter maker with stickers of flowers and tigers all over a bright yellow envelope. She tucked it safely into her hair before passin Branch and Poppy theirs , along with a candy orange one meant for Maple. Before joining back into the cuddle pile. 

" Wait ! Poppy if you're gonna open that can you please do it outside of Rhonda " 

" Why " She asked in the middle of barely lifting the flap open. 

" I wanted to give you a taste of your own medicine. Ya know " 

" Aww , really " Poppy cooded , she was about to drag Branch and herself into the pile until Rhonda's door opened. 

" Hey LaffyTaffy . I got your pills , ice pack and doll heads " Vlam said , all without looking up to see what she was walking into. 

She smiled as she looked up , for it to quickly fade when she saw all the people looking at her. " Shit " 

In a flash the bag was snatched from her hand and she was being pulled into Rhonda . Locked inside with a group of not so please brothers. 

Behind them all she heard was JD say " Don't even think about it . She didn't knock me up . Just know it was a techno troll that was visiting and I'll tell you his name once he answers my letters " 

" What , why then ? " Branch turned to face his sister. 

" Cause I don't want any of you forcing them into something they might not want" All the brothers looked at each other before agreeing. While that was happening Vlam tired to escape. She knew she was gonna have to explain herself sooner or later but she wanted to choose later. Way … Way later. 

" Oh , no you don't . John barely even talks to people for this to happen she had to be following you " Floyd said low , giving her the evil eyes , she didn't even know when he moved . Now being the one in her face , caging her in " So what did you do " 

His other brothers right beside him. Oh fuck , She might die tonight. 

Chapter Text

To say Vlam barely made it out with her life was an understatement. She expected Branch and Clay but not the very sensible Floyd to almost tear out her throat. JD had to step in , shielding her with her body at one point. The story wasn't long but their reaction to it were. She was gonna be on their shit list for quite a while.

At the moment her , JD and Branch are at the doctor's office for John and the baby's check up. She was using John as a barrier to keep him from stabbing her. The only reason she was here was because John needed her to be but she doesn't know if Branch knows that. 

On the other side of the room was Branch looking off into space. As they waited for Doctor MoonBloom to come inside and check on his sister. He remembers being in John's place , the only difference being Maple's egg was in his hair and not in his person. That a whole different ballgame , a whole set of problems that he has no experience in. He internally sighed as he glanced at his sister . 

He can't believe she almost had a kid . Can't believe she had to deal with the lost of her kid alone , dealing with all of that while also being gray. They had exchanged stories from their gray years , talking about the reasons , the adventures and all the close calls . They talked about so much stuff , so why was it easier for her to admit she was gray then it was to even mention her miscarriage. Being Gray is way more taboo in ever troll culture and it's never easy to bring up because they always ask : why would you let it get this bad. Why didn't you ask for help , everything that someone in that position doesn't want to hear. Miscarriage on the other hand are treated with way more care , the parent are treated as fragile in all case . To be sure they don't do something crazy after such a huge lost. 

They have shared much darker things , so why couldn't she have shared this with them. At least with him but when he thinks about it , when could she have ? When they first got back together he wasn't the kindest . The kindest and most understanding compared to their brothers but for sure was not kindest in anyway of the word. And when he was carrying Maple , he damn sure wasn't nice to her then , even through out of all his family she was the second most knowledgeable about young child care. He acted liked an ass but she put up with it . Helping in anyway she could. 

That was why he was here . To make it up to her . He , Poppy , Clay , Viva , Floyd , Bruce and Brandy ( when they find out ) are gonna stand beside her . Which to him meant going to doctors appointments with her and making sure that her and her idiot best friend didn't get anymore bright ideas. 

" Vlam , clam down. You don't have to treat me like I'm glass " Branch just noticed that Vlam was holding John's vest , while handing her a water bottle. John was sweating , looking kinda shiny as she refused the water. Branch also noticed that her feet were kinda swollen but it doesn't seem to be bothering her. 

" 'm not . I'm just making sure your comfortable " 

John rolled her eyes , tapping her legs as she grows impatient. Everyone know she hates doctor's but that's to bad. Soon Doctor MoonBloom came in , doing her usual skit that both him and Vlam hate. Asked some questions , took some blood then went back out to run some test. She came back almost 30 minutes later with a stack of papers in hand and a grim look but that wasn't uncommon for her.

" You're underweight " Moonbloom got straight to the point. 

Like , Damn. 

" You are also why to hot " Moonbloom continues as she pasted her a cup full of ice. 

" But I've been eating " 

" You're been nibbling " Vlam corrected 

" I've been eating " JD glared " And how am I running to hot . I feel like I'm freezing all the fluffin time " 

" Do you not know that you're sweating right now" JD didn't comment " You may feel cold but you are burning . I wonder if that's why you're suddenly underweight " 

The words " suddenly underweight " hit the other two people in the room hard . 

" I'm going to give you medicine for your blood pressure and your extreme - " 

" It's not extreme " 

" For your extreme nausea. I also suggest you drink a lot of cold water , stay in cool places and not do much that will wise your body temperature for too long. So now , no lifting , no highly physically acitives and no Trollspotia long walks until further notice " 

JD only groaned . Vlam looked at JD , if her best friend felt like she was being treated like glass before . Best believe she's about to be treated like the finest of porcelain now. 

" Anyway , you can get your prescription later . I have it sent to the pharmacy on urgent . Also drink with " MoonBloom passed her a cup full of blueberry flavored water with some sort of glitter stuff in it " Don't leave until you finished it all and hopefully stopped sweating " 

MoonBloom got up to go " Before I go , I also recommend eating something with a high amount of fat. Along with eating more whole grains " 

Then she leaves , JD looks around to see Branch typing something on his e-batty while Vlam was writing out something in her notebook. 

" Hey , Branch does your brother have any good recipes for jute roots . The only recipes I can think of is a nasty tasting soup" 

" Give me a minute and I'll ask . Texting the family to meet us down at the bunker , so I can update them on the situation " 

" Branch don't be dramatic " JD warned 

" I'm not being dramatic, I'm just telling them what MoonBloom told us " 

" JD start sipping . You don't got to chug but you got to start the bottle at least " Vlam nudged her . 

JD could already tell that these two on the same team was gonna be a pain in the ass. 

John drunk that water but they didn't leave until 15 minutes later. It seems like Branch completely over trying to kill Vlam , as they were in the middle of making a schedule together . It was hard to not get impatient with them but they were moving slower then a damn snail. 

" Can we please move a little bit faster " 

" Taffy I swear if you say that one more time . I'm going to sit in the middle of this walkway " Vlam said as she looked up form the paper that Branch was holding between them . " Pretend you're on a trail or something and spot rushing " 

" Plus you're starting to look like you swam in a tide pool . So let's take a break and eat " Branch didn't really suggest more like declared it to the group. 

" JD can't eat most stuff being sold around here . So let's stop by my place , I still got fish left over from yesterday " 

" Sound like a plan " 

John stood there bewildered. Vlam wasn't wrong but still ! How was she being left out of the conversation about what she was gonna eat ?! They turned back once they realized John wasn't right next to them . So they went back , locked arms with her and dragged her back to Vlam's pod. 

This was Branch's first time being inside Vlam's pod. It was clean and well decorated, something he did not expect from the touchy- feely party girl. 

I'll warm up the food , go get comfy " Vlam yelled from the kitchen . Branch hummed at her as he followed JD through the house. To a small second bed room , where a nest made of mostly pillows and blankets laid. 

Sometime Branch forget how old school JD could be. Nest were used when pods were smaller , usually one room. It was a comfy place for the parents and children to relax and sleep , basically a bedroom before bedrooms were made. For Maple , him and Poppy made her a nursery. To be honest she had two , one in the bunker and one in the royal pod. 

Branch come out of his thoughts by JD grunting as she got down. Crawling into the nest , disappearing under the cover that was hanging from the roof. She wiggled around for a second to get comfy before saying " Branch " 

" Yeah , John " 

" You mind sitting in here with me ?" 

" Sure " he answered through he sat on the edge , next to the opening . Yelping when he got pulled in , JD laid him a step away. Fluffing pillows and blankets until she thought it was perfect good enough. 

It was dim , warm and comfy and Branch was surprise at how relaxed he felt in it. It was hard not to fall sleep. 

" Hey , John" 

" Yeah , Branch ?" 

" Where did you learn to nest " 

" H hmm , well from mom. She taught me how when Bruce came but she stop doing it when Clay arrived cause Grandma pointed out that she didn't have to anymore " John explained " At that point we had moved into a bigger pod " 

Branch listened , nodding along as he tired not to fall asleep. John could tell she was losing him , so she pulled him a closer . Covering him in one of the loose blankets. She stroked his hair , then kissed his forehead. Laughing at his snores. 

Saying " Have a nice nap , B"
