Chapter Text

Y/n finally moved to Austin from Connecticut to start her new bakery business.

Y/n drives up to her house after driving for more than a day in a U-Haul with her more important things.

"Fucking hell get me out." She mumbles when she parks in her driveway. Y/n starts unloading into her garage. "Fuck me how much shit do I have" Y/n says to herself when she gets halfway through unpacking. Y/n unpacks everything from the U-Haul then starts on moving it all into her house. After all day and some food breaks Y/n finally finished everything except she still had trash to throw out.

"After this I can finally fucking sleep" Y/n says taking the first trip of trash.

On the last trip of trash Y/n hears a meow. She looks around trying to find the source. She finally finds it when she looks behind the trash somewhat onto the neighbor's property. Y/n sees a black cat with some small white hairs and big light eyes sitting there staring at her and then it meows again.

"Aww. Where'd you come from?" y/n says as she bends down to pet it.

"BREAD. Where'd you go you little fuck?" someone shouts.

Y/n looks up and sees a tall man with mutton chops looking around. "Oh." She says looking down at the cat.

She picks up the cat and walks over to the man. "Is this Bread?" Y/n asks the man.

He looks down at her and the cat in her hands. "Bread finally" he says while grabbing the cat from her. "How did you get out you fucking brat?" he asks the cat.

"Thank you so much where did you find him?" he asks.

"He was behind my trash" Y/n says and points to her trash cans.

"Oh, you're the person who moved in there" he says.

"Yeah, I just moved today. I'm Y/n" she says while holding her hand out.

"Nice to meet you I'm Jason" he says shaking her hand.

"Nice to meet you too" she says yawning after.

He chuckles "Long day?' he asks.

"Yeah, I drove more than 24hrs and have been unpacking all day." Y/n says rubbing her eyes.

"Damn where'd you drive from?" He asks.

"Connecticut, I had to take all my important stuff on my own." she answers.

"Damn I'm from New York but I just hired people to take my stuff for me "He says.

"I should've done that. I can tell you're from New York from your accent." she says yawning after again.

He laughs "Yeah most people can. You should go to sleep now before you die."

"Yeah, I should. It was nice meeting you Jason and you too Bread." She says waving at bread.

"Nice meeting you too Y/n" he smiles at her.

They part ways both going to their own houses.

Y/n gets ready for bed and falls asleep quickly dreaming of bread.

Chapter Text

Y/n wakes up at 5am to go to her bakery and set everything up before opening in 2 days.

She gets to her shop and starts unpacking boxes and decorating.

The outside of the bakery is pastel green, there are two tables with 2 chairs each outside the tablecloth is white and gray checkerboard, there's a vase that she’ll put a new flower in every morning from the flower shop next door. The interior keeps the pastel colors but more of a rustic design. There are tables to sit as well as a bar to sit and the display case of food has two layers. An everyday option will be bread, and other things will change depending on the day or holiday.

Y/n’s favorite place is the kitchen. It's built like a big home kitchen which makes y/n more comfortable to bake in. There’s a lot of ovens and a big pantry space. The kitchen is a darker green and white theme. Y/n has already set up the speakers that will be playing mostly soft rock. For right now since it’s just her it’s playing heavy metal.

The last set of setting up the bakery is the bookshelf. Y/n loves to read and to have a little corner in the store for people who just want to come in and read is a dream come true. The bookshelf is packed with a bunch of different books, some she's read, and some her family gave her to put in the bakery.

Now it’s time to take the sheet of the sign to reveal the name Baked Books

“And done.” Y/n says after taking the sheet off.

“Is this your shop Hun?” a voice says next to y/n.

Y/n looks to her side to see a short and sweet looking old lady looking at her shop.

“Yes, it is.” Y/n says “I’m Y/n” she says holding her hand out.

“I’m Betty, I own the flower shop next door” Betty says, shaking Y/n’s hand.

“Oh, I think I’m going to be a daily customer.” Y/n says

“Really dear, do you really like flowers?” Betty asks

“Yes, and I’m thinking of putting new flowers in the shop every day.” Y/n says

“Oh, that’s fantastic sweetheart I’ll give them to you for free.” Betty says

“No, I couldn't do that, I'll pay for them, it's really okay.” Y/n says a bit panicked

“No dear, really, you're new in the area. I've been here for years. I'll give you the flowers and tell my grandson for the days I’m not here.”Betty says before walking away saying “Bye dear I’ll get you flowers the day you open.”

“Oh, Bye thank you” Y/n says standing there confused.

“This place is weird.” Y/n says to herself before heading home.

Y/n gets home at 5pm parking in her driveway instead of the garage.

“Meow”

“Meow”

“What the fuck.” Y/n says staring down at 2 cats in front of her. One she knows is Bread and a second one. It’s a sandy color with orange stripes and green eyes.

“Another one? Or are you a stray? Does Jason own you too” Y/n asks the cat while bending down to pet it.

“Meow” the cat answers.

“Huh you answered my question I guess.” Y/n says while standing back up.

“Alright come on let’s go knock on Jason's door and tell him he’s lost his pussies” Y/n says while looking down at the cats.

“Excuse me?” Y/n hears from next to her then slowly looks up to see Jason standing with his arms crossed and a smirk on his face.

“Uhm” Y/n says while staring at him.

“Meow”

“I found Bread and another cat. Is it yours too?” Y/n asks hoping he forgets her calling his cats his pussies.

“Yeah, that one's Jambo, did you call them my pussies?” He asks while laughing.

“Uh yea I thought no one was around I was talking to the cats.” Y/n says while blushing.

“Mm well you were talking to my pussies.” Jason jokes

“Oh my god please no let’s just pretend I never called them that or let’s just pretend I never saw you today and that you just found your cats who keep escaping by the way.” Y/n says while covering her face.

“Why don't you wanna see me every day?” Jason says looking at Y/n

“Do you wanna see me every day?” Y/n asks back mirroring Jason's stance.

“Meow” The cats say in unison

Jason and Y/n both look down at the cats.

“I should probably take them inside now it’s almost dinner time.” Jason says.

“Yeah, I have to make dinner too.” Y/n says.

“Well even though you don't like it, hopefully I'll see you tomorrow.” Jason says, grabbing his cats.

“I never said that Bye Jason.” Y/n says going to her house.

“Bye Y/n.” Jason says going back in his.

When Jason goes back to his house, he puts his cats down and feeds them.

“Why do you guys wanna fuckin go outside now?” Jason asks his cats

They both continue eating their food.

“Don’t know why I expected you fat asses to stop eating to answer me.” Jason says looking at the time. 5:40

“Oh shit.” Jason says, then goes upstairs to his filming room. Sitting down putting on his headphones and answering the discord call.

“SCHLATT” Two voices shout in unison.

“Hey guys” Schlatt answers them.

“Where the fuck were you?” Ted asks.

“The fucking cats got out and I started talking to my neighbor.” Schlatt answered.

“Wow Schlatt talking with a neighbor?” Charlie says surprised.

“Yea she just moved in, and my cats keep going outside when she’s out there.” Schlatt says.

“Oh, a woman that’s new.” Ted says.

“Yeah, and for you to talk to her she must be your type.” Charlie says poking fun at Schlatt.

“Shut up, let's start the pod already.” Schlatt says

“Well, you have to talk about your cats getting out.” Ted says.

“Fine but I’m not talking about her.” Schlatt says.

“That’s fine but I wanna hear about your cats escaping.”Charlie says.

“Alright, is everyone ready?” Ted asks

“Yeah” Charlie and Schlatt say in unison.

“Welcome back to the chuckled sandwich podcast everyone.” Ted says

It’s 2am and Y/n is finally getting ready for bed after having dinner, a shower and setting up her bakery website. She finishes her list of things to prepare tomorrow for opening day.

Tonight, she dreams of Bread and Jambo.

Y/n wakes up at 8am and goes straight to the bakery. She gets all her prep for tomorrow done. She makes sure everything looks good for opening day. After she checks everything over 3 times, she decides it looks good. Y/n heads out to explore the area.

Y/n stops in a nearby restaurant for some lunch she orders and eats there while searching for things to do nearby on her phone. After she eats, she heads out to continue her journey. She ends up remembering the flower shop and how nice Betty was and decides to stop by to say hi.

Y/n opens the flower shop and instead of being greeted by Betty she’s greeted by a man. He’s tall and muscular.

“Hi, what can I help you with?” He asks, smiling at Y/n.

“Uh Hi I’m looking for Betty. I own the bakery next door and wanted to say Hi.” Y/n says

“Oh, yea she told me about you I’m Greg her grandson.” He says with his hand out to shake hers.

“Oh, she told me about you too I’m Y/n” Y/n says shaking his hand.

“Babe, which flowers need restocking?” A man asks while walking up to Greg looking at a clipboard.

“The roses, Hun. This is Y/n the bakery owner I was telling you about.” Greg says pointing to Y/n.

“Oh Hi, I'm Michael. It's so nice to meet you.” He says holding his hand out.

“Hi, I'm Y/n it’s nice to meet you too.” Y/n says shaking his hand.

“Betty’s not here today, it's her day off.” Greg says.

“That’s good to know.” Y/n says

“We’ll be giving you flowers on Sundays and Wednesdays.” Greg says.

“Actually, the shops closed on Sundays so only Wednesdays.” Y/n says

“Good to know.”Michael says, writing it down.

The door opens and customers begin coming in.

“I should probably go now. It was good meeting you and thank you for the flowers.” Y/n says

“It was good meeting you too.” Greg and Michael say.

Y/n heads home after some more exploring around the area. She’s quickly met with Jambo and Bread waiting on her doorstep.

“Hi guys.” Y/n says bending down to pet them.

“Meow” Both cats go when she pets them.

“At some point I’m gonna start suspecting that Jason isn’t treating you guys well.”y/n says picking up the cats

“Come on let’s get you back to him” Y/n says heading to Jason's door.

DING DONG

Schlatt stops mid-sentence when he hears the doorbell.

“For everyone who didn't hear that, Schlatt's doorbell just rang.” Ted said

“The police have finally caught him.” Charlie says.

“Give me a second.” Schlatt says taking off his headphones and going to his door.

He opens it up and sees Y/n cooing at the two cats in her arms. Jambo looking pleased and bread looking as stupid as always.

“Shit I didn’t even know they got out again I thought I sealed off their escape route.” Schlatt says reaching for the cats.

“They seem to have found a new way.” Y/n says handing the cats to Jason then yawning.

“Are you tired again?” Jason asks her.

“Yeah, I barely slept and had to wake up early.” Y/n says rubbing her eyes.

“You should take a nap.” Jason asks, looking concerned.

“I might or I might just watch a shit ton of movies.” Y/n says.

“Are you trusted to be left alone and take a nap, or do I need to come over and make sure that you sleep?” Jason asks, leaning on the doorway.

“I don’t know you might have to come over” Y/n says.

“Oh-” Jason says, getting cut off when his phone rings. He looks and sees it’s Ted calling.

“Shit.” Jason says under his breath.

“Oh sorry, am I keeping you from something?” Y/n asks, feeling guilty.

“Just doing some work ahead of time.” Jason says trying not to give away his job.

“Oh, you should probably get back to it then sorry for keeping you.” Y/n says

“Yeah, I should, you didn’t keep me by the way all on me and thank you for returning Jambo and Bread.” Jason says.

“Of course, Jason have a good day.” Y/n says walking away.

“You too Y/n and take a nap” Jason says before closing the door.

Schlatt goes back upstairs to finish filming.

“Oh, look who decided to come back.” Ted says

“Jambo and Bread got out again.” Schlatt said, sitting down and putting his headphones back on.

“Oh, did your neighbor return them again?” Charlie asks

“Yeah, she did” Schlatt says blushing a little.

“SCHLATT, ARE YOU FUCKING BLUSHING” Ted screams.

“No fuck off.” Schlatt says, looking down.

“He’s totally blushing.” Charlie says.

“Shut up and let’s film. We have 2 more to film before I leave, and you guys visit me.” Schlatt says getting them back to filming.

After watching one movie Y/n decides she really needs that nap, so she goes to her bed for it and dreams of Jambo Bread and a mystery man who seems familiar.

Baked Books has been open for a week and Y/n has never been more busy between hiring people and actually running the shop; she can’t seem to ever take a break. It takes her 2 days to realize the cats haven’t shown up and Jason’s car isn’t in his driveway. He comes back 5 days later.

Jason comes home after his week trip back to New York. He immediately starts cleaning since Ted and Charlie are coming to stay with for a week starting tomorrow.

“Okay Bread and Jambo you're free to go but not outside please I need to clean and you guys going outside is a distraction.” Schlatt says while looking at them.

“Meow” they both go in unison.

“Alright let’s see if you guys can keep your promise.” Schlatt says starting to clean

Y/n decides to clean today since it’s Sunday and her day off.

She cleans everything quickly and puts the trash by her door to take out later. She decided for now to work on some new recipes and try to introduce some new things next week. While the desserts are in the oven baking, she decides to throw out the trash.

Y/n goes outside and is greeted by bread and Jambo running up to her.

“Hi guys.” She says while bending down to pet them.

“Damnit.” She hears from above her and looks up to see Jason.

“Hi.” He says looking at her.

“Hi.” Y/n says getting back up.

“They promised me to not run out while I was cleaning and the second I finish and open the door they run out.” Jason says.

“Well, they did keep their promise.” Y/n says

“Barely.” Jason says looking at Y/n hand.

“I’ll throw it out.” He says with his hand out to get Y/n’s trash.

“Thank you.” She says handing it to him and continuing to pet the cats.

Jason throws out Y/n’s trash and watches her for a bit while she’s petting the cats.

‘Cute’ Jason thinks before going back to her.

“Where have you been?” Y/n asks Jason when he comes back.

“I was visiting family in New York.” Jason answers.

“How was that?” Y/n says getting back up.

“It was good, just hard to travel with cats.” He says picking the cats up.

“I would imagine.” Y/n says

DING

They both look to where the sound came from before Y/n realizes it’s her deserts.

“Oh, I was baking. Do you wanna come in and have some?” Y/n asks Jason.

“Sure.” Jason says.

They go inside and Jason puts the cats down then follows Y/n to the kitchen. Y/n takes some red velvet cookies and puts on a timer. Then getting the ingredients for cream cheese frosting. Y/n opens the fridge then looks back at Jason.

“Do you want a beer?” She asks

“Sure.” Jason says.

Y/n gets two beers, opens them then hands one to Jason.

“Do you want some help?” Jason asks after taking a sip of his beer.

“Sure.” Y/n asks

Y/n hands Jason a bowl, softened butter and softened cream cheese.

“Mix this.” She says while measuring some other things.

“Okay.” Jason says mixing it together.

Y/n adds vanilla extract, almond extract and some powdered sugar.

“Done” She says when Jason has mixed it all together.

“That was quick.” Jason says.

“Yeah, it’s quick to make and not really any mess.” Y/n says putting some things away.

Before Y/n puts the powdered sugar away Jason grabs some and throws it at Y/n’s face when she turns around. Y/n stands there stunned by the betrayal. Then Y/n grabs some powdered sugar quickly and throws it back at Jason’s face. They go back and forth throwing it then they start fighting over the powdered sugar they’re laughing and covered in powdered sugar Y/n pushed against her kitchen island and Jason in front of her towering over her. They look at each other the laughter dying down then

DING

Y/n goes to turn off the timer.

“The cookies are ready to frost now.” Y/n says looking back at Jason to find him already looking at her.

“Okay.” Jason says grabbing the frosting and going to the cookies.

Y/n and Jason frost the cookies and clean up the powdered sugar on the floor before eating them.

“Holy shit these are good.” Jason says after finishing his first cookie.

“How do you bake so well?” He asks

“I’m a baker, it's my job.” Y/n answers him.

“Really?” He says.

“Yeah, I have my own bakery, have I never told you?” Y/n asks

“No, you haven’t.” Jason says

“Oh.” Y/n says

“Can I take some home? I have friends that are gonna stay with me for a week and they would really love them.” Jason says

“Yeah of course.” Y/n says grabbing a container and putting most of the cookies in them.

“Thank you.” Jason says when she hands him the container.

“No problem.” Y/n says

“I should probably go. I have to wake up early to pick them up.” Jason says.

“Okay thank you for helping me.” Y/n says walking Jason to her door.

“Thank you for the cookies." Jason says, picking up Bread and Jambo.

“Goodnight Jason.” Y/n says

“Goodnight, Y/n” Jason says

Tonight Y/n dreams of Jambo, Bread and cookies. In the background of her dream, she hears a familiar laughter.

Y/n wakes up at 4am and starts getting ready to go to the bakery. Y/n heads out of the house at 5am. Usually no one's up and it’s quiet. Today's different Y/n opens her door and heads for her car and sees two men one taller than the other whispering by Jason's door.

“What if he’s not up?” The short one asks

“He should be, he was supposed to pick us up at 6 and the airports like 30 minutes away and there's traffic so it’s like an hour away he would’ve had us waiting for his ass.” The taller one says

Y/n just takes a glance at them before moving again to go to her car.

“Excuse me?” The shorter one calls out to y/n.

Y/n turns around and sees them both staring at her.

“Yes?” Y/n answers

“Does a man live here? He's socially awkward and quiet, he's freakishly tall and he has two cats?” The short one asks

“Jason?” Y/n asks.

“YES” The short one says

“Yeah, he lives there.” Y/n answers

“Great, thank you thank you I’m Charlie and this is Ted.” The short one, Charlie says

“No problem I’m Y/n” Y/n says

Charlie and Ted look at each other then back at Y/n

“Good to meet you Y/n.” Ted says.

“Good to meet you guys too.” Y/n says before leaving to her bakery

‘Holy shit.” Charlie says looking back at Ted.

“She really is his type.” Ted says

The door opens and scares Ted and Charlie

“AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!” Ted and Charlie both scream and grab onto each other.

“What the fuck” a very tired Schlatt says when he opens the door.

“SURPRISE!!” Charlie says popping a confetti popper and Ted shoots silly string at Jschlatt.

Jschlatt just looks at them before going back inside but leaving the door open for them to come in too. They follow Jschlatt in and he goes straight to the kitchen and feeds the cats. They notice the cookies on the counter, and both take one.

“Holy shit who made these?” Charlie asks, taking another cookie.

“My neighbor.” Jschlatt answers, putting away the cat food.

“Y/n?” Ted asks

Jschlatt stops what he’s doing and turns back to Ted and Charlie looking at them for a minute before asking

“How do you know her name?”

“We met her before you opened the door she was leaving, and we asked if you lived here.” Ted says

“Don’t worry we never used a name we just described you and then realized you never told her your job.” Charlie says

“Why did you never tell her your job?” Ted asks

“Because it’s awkward explaining to someone with an actual job with her own fucking bakery that I sit on a computer all day talking about random shit.” Jschlatt says

“You don’t know she might be really into youtubers.” Charlie says, taking another cookie.

“Yeah, probably not and stop taking all my cookies you fat ass.” Jschlatt says

“Hey, you said she owns a bakery so let’s go to it when it opens.” Ted says moving the container away from Charlie.

“Yeah, we definitely should imagine all the other good shit she has.” Charlie says.

It’s 7am and Y/n’s bakery finally opens for the day.

The morning rush starts and doesn’t end until 9am

Betty comes in and hands over flowers during the morning rush, so she doesn’t have a convo with Y/n once the rush ends Y/n takes a look at the flowers, they're yellow tulips. The flowers have a note on them.

I hope you’re loving having a shop here everyone seems to love your bakery everyone who comes in has all good things to say these flowers represent Joy, Hope and Happiness all things I hope come your way

Y/n keeps the note in a drawer in the back once she comes back out, she sees more people have come in specifically 3 men 2 tall one short. Charlie Ted and Jason.

“Hi.” They all say at once Charlie being the most energetic.

“Hey.” Y/n says.

“What can I get you guys?” Y/n says getting their orders Charlie orders way too many sweets.

The guys order and eat in the bakery then leave all saying bye and waving to Y/n.

“Holy shit her desserts are so good.” Charlie says walking into Jason's house.

“Yea they really are.” Ted says sitting down on the one-seater.

“How many times do you go there Jason?” Charlie asks, sitting on the couch.

“That was my first time being there.” Jason asks, sitting on the couch, Bread and Jambo joining him.

“WHAT!!” Charlie screams, scaring Jambo and Bread making them glare at him.

“How?” Ted asks, leaning towards Jason.

“I didn't know she was a baker until yesterday when I was at her place.” Jason says calming the cats down.

“What’s you do at her place?” Ted asks

“We baked and talked.” Jason says.

“YOU BAKED!!” Charlie screams making the cats jump off of the couch.

“Yes, Charlie I baked. Is there something wrong with that?” Jason asks turning on the tv clearly done with the conversation

“No nothing wrong, just surprised.” Charlie says looking at the tv

Ted stares at Jason for a bit longer wondering why Jasons so different with Y/n compared to when he’s with other women.

It’s 7pm and Y/n is finally back home after closing the shop for the day. She’s almost at her door and she hears

“Hey.” Charlie says.

“Hey.” Y/n says turning to Carlie and Ted.

“Did you have dinner?” Ted asks, making Charlie look at him confused.

“Uh no not yet.” Y/n says

“Well, why don’t you come over for dinner then we’re ordering Chinese and watching bad movies.” Ted says

“Uh sure.” Y/n says feeling too lazy to cook dinner.

“Great, come in.” Ted says

Y/n comes in and the cats immediately go up to her, she bends down petting the cats.

“Uh hey.” Jason says coming down the stairs.

“Hey Jason look who Ted invited over for dinner.” Charlie says going to Jason's side.

“Hi” Y/n says looking up.

“Hey, what do you want from the Chinese place?” Jason asks, grabbing his phone.

While Jason orders the food everyone else goes to the living room ted and Charlie both sit in single seaters and leave the couch for y/n and Jason. When Y/n sits down Jambo and Bread immediately go up and sit next to her. After Jason orders the food, he sits next to Y/n with Jambo and Bread in between them. Once the food comes Jason makes them go grab the food. While they’re grabbing the food Y/n pets the cats and Jason leans over.

“Enjoying my pussies?” He whispers into her ears.

“Stop.” Y/n says getting red in the face.

“Okay got the food.” Charlie says, walking in with Ted right behind him.

“Great, I'm starving.” Jason says, reaching for the food.

While everyone reaches for their food Ted notices Y/n’s red face but decides to say nothing about it. They start their first bad movie and by their 3rd one the lights are off and everyone's more comfortable. Y/n has a blanket draped over her after she said she was cold Jason went up to his room and grabbed a throw blanket. Jason yawns and drapes his arm over Y/n’s shoulders. Y/n tries not to laugh and keep watching the movie. Ted notices the change and decides to not say anything keeping everything in mind. After the 3rd movie Charlie suggests they watch YouTube instead, he, like Ted, notices the position of Jason and y/n but decides to not say anything. They put on YouTube and immediately are met with a chuckle podcast episode showing all of their faces.

“Uhh.” Charlie says trying to get them off the screen, but he can’t they're everywhere

Y/n burst out laughing as Charlie keeps panicking. All 3 look at her and she can’t stop laughing covering her face.

“So, the cats out the bag.” Charlie says.

“Yeah, it is.” Jason says, chuckling a bit.

“Can I finally call you Schlatt now?” Ted asks

“Yeah.” Jason says.

“Fucking finally, I'm going to bed.” Ted says getting up and leaving causing Y/n to laugh more.

“I should head out it’s late.” Y/n says looking at Jason.

“Okay.” Jason says, looking at her.

“Welp good night.” Charlie says getting up and going upstairs after y/n and Jason stare at each other for a bit too long.

Jason walks Y/n to her door and goes back to his house after saying good night.

Y/n goes to bed dreaming of Jambo and Bread next to her on a familiar couch with a familiar warmth draped around her.

Ted and Charlie make Schlatt go to Y/n’s bakery every morning since they’ve been there, running into his room, waking him up, pestering him until he agrees to go to the bakery. (it doesn’t take long) Schlatt likes to see Y/n in the morning and especially while it’s busy schlatt watches y/n silently in her element.

Although he isn’t as sneaky as he thinks since Ted and Charlie watch him watch her. Ted and Charlie always enter before Schlatt and today they see Y/n talking with a man holding some flowers. Schlatt walks in just behind them and sees him too. They all walk closer and Schlatt gets a weird feeling in his stomach as he hears the man describing the meanings of the flowers to Y/n.

“Daisies symbolize new beginnings and rebirth. I thought they’d be the perfect flower seeing how good the bakery is doing lately.” The man says to Y/n

“Oooo I like that yeah I think they’re perfect thank you so much Greg.” Y/n says smiling at him then taking the flowers and putting them in a vase of the counter.

“No problem, see you next week.” Greg says leaving.

“Hey guys, what can I get you?” Y/n says looking at them

“Same as usual.” Charlie says.

“Okay coming right up.” Y/n says starting on the food.

As Y/n’s making the food and drinks Schlatt is looking at her wondering who that man was and what they are to each other. Not knowing Ted can read his mind just by looking at his face.

“Hey Y/n who was that guy?” Ted asks.

“Oh that was Greg, he's the grandson of the old lady who runs the flower shop. He gives me flowers on wednesdays.” Y/n explains putting the food on the counter.

“Mmm he’s hot isn't he?” Charlie asks

“His fiance seems to think so” Y/n says pointing at the window

They all turn and see Greg and his fiance kissing outside.

“Oh yea he does.” Charlie says.

They get their food and sit at their regular table. Today's busy so schlatt is watching Y/n as he always does and Ted and Charlie are watching him like they always do.

“Jason?” Charlie asks

“Yeah.” Jason says, still looking at y/n.

“I think you should try to hang out with y/n more.” Charlie says.

“What?” Jason says, looking at Charlie.

“Oh come on it’s so obvious you like her just ask her out already.” Ted says.

“No she won't say yes.” Jason says.

“Yes she will when you’re not watching her she’s watching you.” Ted says.

Jason turns and watches y/n turn her head away from looking at him.

“Come on, we better start recording soon so we can finish everything before we leave.” Charlie says when Jason goes silent again.

Y/n finally closes the bakery and heads home. Head filled with Jason catching her staring at him. Y/n gets to her house and parks. Once she starts heading to her front door she notices Bread and Jambo cuddling in front of the door.

“Hello kitties.” Y/n says picking up the cats.

Y/n heads to Jason’s house and knocks on the door. Surprised when the door opens and it’s both Charlie and Ted.

“Oh hey.” Ted says.

“Hey, is Jason home? The cats ended up on my door again.” Y/n asks.

“Yeah he is come on in.” Ted says.

Charlie's eyes go wide and he turns his head to the hallways before turning back to Ted.

“Ted, what the hell are you doing?” Charlie whispers to Ted.

“Shut up, go with it if we sit and do nothing then they’ll keep dancing around each other.” Ted says shushing Charlie.

“So how was your day?” Ted asks y/n sitting down on the couch dragging Charlie with him.

“It was good not too busy, thankfully so not that stressed.” Y/n says sitting on the other couch.

“That’s good right Charlie?” Ted asks nudging Charlie who keeps glancing at the hallway.

“Uh yeah mhm fantastic.” Charlie says fidgeting

“Are you okay Charlie?” Y/n asks

“Uh YEA um yeah I’m fine.” Charlie says

“Where’s Jason?” Y/n asks

“Oh he’s uhh There he is!!” Ted says, looking at the hallway.

Y/n turns her head to the hallway and sees Jason standing there in sweatpants, no shirt and wet hair. Towel in his hand still drying off his hair and water dripping down his torso. Y/ns mouth goes dry. Jason looks up and sees her his face going red hers doing the same.

“Oh hey I didn’t know you were here, sorry.” Jason says, reaching for a shirt on the couch putting it on.

“Uh hey yea sorry the cats were on my doorstep again.” Y/n says scratching the back of her neck.

“Uhhh so we gotta go.” Ted says looking at his phone

“Where?” Jason asks.

“Um friends house you don't know him byeeee.” Ted says grabbing Charlie and dragging him out of the house.

“Well do you wanna get drunk?” Jason asks Y/n

“Yeah sure.” Y/n says

2 bottles of whiskey late Y/n and Jason are laughing at everything and some how ended up sitting right next to each other thighs touching.

“You know the first time I saw Bread on my step, if I hadn’t heard you I would have kept him.” Y/n says her hand landing on Jasons arm.

“Yeah then Jambo would've ended up there too and they probably would love that with how much they go there.” Jason says his hand landing on y/n’s thigh

“They’re cut, look at them.” Y/n looks to the side and sees Jambo and Bread cuddling with each other.

“Yeah cute.” Jason says

Y/n turns back and sees Jason staring right at her. His eyes focussed on her lips. Time feels like it froze. Y/n can hear her heartbeat in her ears. Jason's hand on her thigh feels as though it’s burning. Before she knows it it finally happens. They both lean in and it’s like everything in her life has been solved. It’s over way too soon and then Jason is backing away like he’s been burned.

“Uh sorry I’m drunk.” Jason says, chuckling awkwardly.

“Oh yeah me too sorry.” Y/n says looking down.

Silence. No one can say anything. The sound of Y/n’s heartbeat is back in her ears.

“I should go um sorry.” Y/n says leaving.

Y/n makes it home and goes straight to bed for the first time in a while having a dreamless sleep.

Y/n wakes up with the worst hangover she’s ever had. Every time she closes her eyes she sees Jason leaning in and hears him saying “I’m drunk”, to get her mind off things she decides to go shopping. She heads out before 8.

Schlatt wakes up at 8 he looks out his window and sees Y/n’s car not in her driveway. He heads downstairs to finally eat after tossing and turning the whole night wondering if Y/n felt the same way he did after the kiss. Downstairs are Charlie and Ted eating cereal and talking about all the content they need to film today.

Jason walks past then getting his own cereal too in his head about everything to even acknowledge Ted and Charlie saying Goodmorning to him.

“Weird usually he grunts at us” Charlie says to Ted as they both stare at Schlatt pouring his milk before his cereal.

“Yea something’s wrong with him what the fuck is he doing.”Ted says with a disgusted face.

“That’s disgusting.” Charlie says, finally catching Schlatt’s attention.

“What?” Schlatt asks, turning around.

“You put your milk before your cereal.” Ted answers

“Yea I wanted to try something different.” Schlatt says

“You judge people for breathing wrong and you wanted to try something different.” Charlie says

“That has nothing to do with my cereal.” Schlatt says

“No but it has something to do with you acting weird. Once I coughed too loudly and you mocked me for an hour. Imagine if I put my milk before my cereal you’d publicly shame me.” Ted says

“I’m not acting weird.” Schlatt says then leaves the room

“You do cough loud.” Charlie says

“Shut the fuck up.” Ted says

After finally filming all of the content they needed for the day, Schlatt, Ted and Charlie were finally in Schlatt’s driveway. Coincidentally Y/n finally came back from shopping all day and was in her driveway.

“Hey Y/n” Charlie says waving at her.

“Hey Charlie” Y/n says waving back.

“Hey, haven't seen you all day you should come over.” Ted says

“Uh, I don't want to intrude.” Y/n says glancing at Jason who is looking at the ground.

“Nonsense we’re leaving tomorrow anyways it’ll be like a farewell party.” Ted says after he glanced at Jason.

They all sit and talk about their days. Ted notices that Jason is suspiciously quiet and not looking at Y/n. He slowly forms a plan in his head.

“Charlie, I need to see something in your suitcase.” Ted says standing up

“What?” Charlie asks

“I think you packed something that was mine come on” Ted says, dragging a confused Charlie away.

“Ted, what are you talking about?” Charlie asks once Ted stops in the hallway.

“Something happened I know it.”Ted says, peeking at Y/n and Jason on the couches awkwardly.

“Oh my god you’ve finally lost it.” Charlie says

“What no. Look at them, they're acting weird with each other. I think something happened. Oh my god look they're talking.” Ted says

“Uh I’m sorry I kissed you last night I shouldn’t have I just uh find you interesting in a weird way.” Jason says still not making eye contact.

“What? Interesting in a weird way, is that a good thing?” Y/n asks not knowing if she should be offended or not.

“I mean I just can’t stop looking at you or thinking about you or wanting to talk to you.” Jason says

“Oh uh me too I mean last night the kiss was mutual.” Y/n says

Jason looks at her stunned that she feels the same way and leans in.

They break away when a gasp comes from the hallway they both look and see Ted covering Charlie’s mouth with his hand slowly dragging Charlie away into the darkness.

“Jesus” Y/n hears from her side she turns and sees JAson with his hand on his face. She bursts out in laughter.

“They sure are something.” Y/n says trying to stop laughing.

“Yeah they really are.” Jason says smiling at her.

“I should get going, it's late.” Y/n says looking down at her phone.

“Okay I’ll see you tomorrow Goodnight Y/n” Jason says when he walks her to the door.

“Goodnight Jason” Y/n says as she goes home.

Schlatt goes downstairs in a completely different mood than the day prior. Ted and Charlie are already waiting for him in the living room.

“Oh someones happy” Ted says

“Shut up” Schlatt says

“Did you finally ask her out?”Charlie says as he watches the smile fall off of Schlatt's face.

“Uh no I didn’t get the chance to” Schlatt says

“For fucks sake.”Ted says

“Schlatt you need to” Charlie says

“I know I know I will at some point” Schlatt says

“No you will soon.” Charlie says

“Today.” Ted says standing up and bringing his luggage to the car.

Ted and Charlie try to convince Schlatt to ask Y/n out the whole car ride. It got to the point where Schlatt threatened to crash the car if they didn’t shut up. WHen Ted didn't believe him and started to talk again he was quickly shut up when Schlatt severed a bit. The rest of the car ride goes by in silence.

Finally arriving at the airport Schlatt thinking about Y/n for most of the ride Ted and Charlie finally give one last shot at telling Sclatt to ask Y/n out again only because they are no longer in the car. They finally part ways and Schlatt is driving back with his music low and his thoughts high. He’s moving on autopilot; it's only when he parks that he realizes he’s in front of Y/n’s shop.

“Fuck it.” Jason says as he gets out of the car.

He enters and sees Y/n behind the counter making drinks and the only thought that comes to his mind as he walks to her is that ‘She’s beautiful’

“Hey.” Jason says as he finally stops in front of her.

“Hey.” Y/n says as she smiles at him

“Do you want to go on a date after your shift? It doesn't have to be anything big, maybe just dinner at my place?” Jason asks

“Yeah that sounds perfect.” Y/n says

“Perfect see you later” Jason says

“See you later.” Y/n says

At that moment they both know that this is the start of something great.
