Chapter Text

Catra ran through the halls, she was fucked. Great way to start her first adult job she thought to herself. She had worked her ass off through high school and university to make a name for herself. She had been left at an orphanage as a baby, and even with as many species that existed in Etheria; not many families wanted a magicat as a child. So there she stayed, until she aged out of the program. But she was lucky her intellect was her saving grace, scholarship after scholarship was placed in front of her. So her time in university was paid for, and here she was a high school chemistry teacher late like she always wanted to be. The click of her heels brought her back to what she was doing as she turned the corned and stepped into the gym.

Catra stopped dead in her tracks, there sat all the teachers that she would not be working beside and one took her breath away. There sat the most beautiful or handsome women she had ever seen. Long blonde hair tied into a tight ponytail while the white dress shirt and red vest were that of a men’s cut, while the black dress pants hung off her as her leather clad foot bounced as she looked around. Then Catra watched her look around the room before coming to rest on her, Catra did not mean to stare but the small smirk that passed the women’s face made her weak. Catra knew she was a lesbian, she had known is since she was a young teenager, but now looking at this women there was no doubt in her mind. Catra could feel her tail and ears twitching as the women looked at her, the smallest motion as the women licked her lips

“Ah Miss Horde, so happy for you to join us” Principal Walker stated

“Yes sorry ma’am. It will not happen again” Catra stated

“That is fine, we all have had our moments. Now everyone I would like to welcome our new chemistry teacher Miss Catra Horde” Principal walker announced

“Thank you for that welcome. I am excited to work beside each and everyone of you” Catra said her ears twitching again

“Now why don’t you take a seat by Adora. Adora can you stand?” Principal Walker asked

“Yes ma’am” Adora said standing and smiling

Catra wanted to drop to her knees as Adora stood, she was a amazon who toured over her and when she spoke her voice made her knees weak and inside she knew if she asked her to she would stay on her knees worshipping her. Catra shook her head, it had been way to long since she had gotten properly laid, taking a deep breath she smiled back at Adora and moved to take her seat beside her. Adora waited until she had sat down before taking her seat once again, Catra had a hard time paying attention to her new boss as she began to realize how jacked Adora was, each time she moved she could see the fabric stretching around her biceps and Catra wondered if the rest of her was just as muscled.

The next two hours passed slowly, she had not noticed that her tail had come from being wrapped around her and now was splayed across her lap as she ran her hands along it in a calming measure. Catra caught movement out of the corner of her eye close to the end when she was actually paying attention to what was being said, moving her head slightly she found Adora watching her intently. The blush that rose up her neck and onto her face made her turn away, she could feel her fur fluffing out. She knew not everyone enjoyed being with a magicat, she had fur that covered most of her body. Some of it was thicker and courser then other parts but most of it was a soft downy fluff, memories began to flood her brain as her past began to hit her. Digging her nails into her thighs she felt the pinch of the pain as a firm hand came to rest on her shoulder as hot breath on her ear made them twitch.

“Are you okay?” Adora asked softly

“Yes I am” Catra stated trying to stay calm

“Are you sure? You look stressed” Adora stated

“It is fine, just nerves. Why do you care?” Catra snapped

“I was trying to be friendly, I was hoping we could well get to know each other. We will be working with each other, but if you do not wish then I understand” Adora stated

“Sorry, I just am not used to people actually wanting to get to know me” Catra stated

She hated to admit but she was not lying, she had never been in a relationship and everything she had sex it was a fuck and skip. Those around her never needed her so she learned to become self sufficient, but something in the way this women looked at her made her think maybe this was going to be alright.

“I would like to get to know you, if you would let me” Adora said smiling widely

“Sure. So tell me what do you teach? Wait let me guess, physical education?” Catra asked laughing loudly

“I may be a gym rat, but no you got it wrong” Adora stated smirking at the women in front of her

“Oh interesting, then I am stumped. What do you teach?” Catra asked

“Calculus” Adora said smiling

“You teach calculus? Lucky students” Catra stated before she could stop herself

“Oh why is that?” Adora asked surprised

“Never mind what I said” Catra stated back tracking

“You are pretty easy on the eyes to” Adora winked as a cough brought them back to the meeting

Ten minutes later and they were allowed to finally leave, Adora offered to show Catra to her classroom. They spoke as they walked, Catra learning that Adora was the same age as she was but graduated school early which meant she went to university early, she learned that this was her second year teaching.

Adora watched the women beside her, she was making her mind blank as they walked. The moment she had walked into the gym time stopped for Adora, she towered over the women and could throw her around if she so wanted. Adora never had any thoughts about magicats before but she wanted to know what that tail felt like against her body as well as the soft fur that she had been told covered their bodies. Adora wanted to be friendly but not to friendly but if she could make a friend at this school she would be happy. She would be even happier if Catra turned out to be a lesbian like she was well kind of.

“Earth to Adora” Catra stated waving her hand in front of her face

“What? Oh yes right” Adora said blushing

“What is it? Cat got your tongue?” Catra asked smirking showing her fangs

“I well yes, no. Shit” Adora mumbled out

“I am just bugging you. Is this me?” Catra asked looking at the classroom

“Yes it is. I am across the hall” Adora stated pointing

“Oh lucky me” Catra faked rolling her eyes

“More like lucky me” Adora stated smirking

“You are horrible, I barely know you” Catra faked being offended

“I would like to get to know you more” Adora stated hopefully

“Maybe if you play your cards right. Now I believe I have a important question for you?” Catra asked leaning against her desk

“What is that?” Adora asked intrigued

“What are your pronouns?” Catra asked casually

“That isn’t something I get asked a lot” Adora asked surprised

“Well something inside me tells me I should ask” Catra explained smiling

“No one here has ever asked me that” Adora stated again

“Well is seems we are the youngest teachers here, so I ask again what are your pronouns?” Catra asked smirking

“Here she/her, outside in my normal life I prefer they/she. Sometimes he/him depending on my mood and what is going on” Adora explained smiling gently

“Good to know, mine are easy, she/her” Catra stated confidently

“Good to know, now I shall let you be. If you need anything let me know” Catra said kindly as they turned and walked out

Catra was fucked, she wanted to climb them like a tree. Now she had to work every day beside that handsome being, sitting in her chair she leaned her head into her hands. She thought this was going to be easy, but now everything had been flipped and it was her first day on the job. Adora practically ran to their classroom, taking a seat they closed their eyes allowing the thoughts of Catra to fill her mind. She was beautiful but she was most likely straight, but the thought of those soft ears and tail under their touch made them groan loudly. They never expected to be smitten with someone quickly but they were and did not know what to do with it.

“Catra you have been in there all night, come out here” Scorpia yelled through her door

“Fine” Catra grumbled throwing open the door

“Oh you are alive” Perfuma stated from behind Scorpia

“What do you want!” Catra grumbled agian

“Well I wanted to know how your first day of work was but it seems like there is more to be told” Scorpia stated pulling Catra from her room

Catra sighed, Scorpia was her best friend and had been for years. They had met in high school, and had been accepted to the same university she had. That’s when they had both decided to move in together which now over four years later ad become their home. Perfuma had come into Scorpia’s life not long after their first day at the university and had yet to leave. Sitting down Catra pulled her feet under herself and wrapped her tail around herself as she slowly ran her fingers through the soft fur.

“Spill” Scorpia stated

“Spill what?” Catra countered

“You are off in your mind. What happened? Or should I ask who happened?” Scorpia asked wiggling her eyebrows

“Fine, my first day went well. I am ready for the kids to come in tomorrow, and I may have made friends with another teacher already” Catra stated blushing as her ears flattened

“Oh? Tell us more” Perfuma pushed

“They are just wow” Catra managed to get out

“That is great language for such a smart cat” Scorpia joked

“Shut up. Fine they are build like a amazon, and are kind and smart and are off in their own world all the same” Catra tried to stay calm as she explained

“Oh yeah? What’s her name?” Scorpia asked

“Their name is Adora. I am fucked, I wanted peace at work not some delicious human in front of me who would not want me even if I presented myself to them” Catra said curling further into a ball as her claws began to dig into her hands

“Hey now don’t do that, Catra follow my breathing. In and out, in and out” Scorpia stated calmly

Catra breathed slowly, she knew her trauma was bad but something about having to panic attacks in the span of a day because of thoughts from her past made her head spin. Inhaling slowly she allowed her claws to retract before looking up to a concerned Scorpia and Perfuma.

“You are okay” Perfuma said gently

“I know, just hard. I know what people think of magicats” Catra stated sighing

“Nothing wrong with magicats. Did they flirt with you?” Scorpia asked

“Yes” Catra stated

“Then befriend them, you never know. Now dinner should be done” Scorpia stated clapping her claws together

Catra shook her head, she hated when her friends were right. Standing she tried not to think of Adora and the full day of her new job, but maybe things would work out.

Adora paced their kitchen, they had left later then normal but was still home earlier then their roommates. The front door of the townhouse opened then closed signaling the arrival of Glimmer and Bow.

“Hey you, how was the first day back?” Glimmer asked as she came into the kitchen

“Amazing” Adora stated smiling as they began to plate the food

“Did something happen? You are very happy” Bow asked intrigued

“No nothing happened, well just a new teacher” Adora stated pushing them to sit

“Oh you are smitten” Glimmer said smiling widely

“I am not” Adora stated blushing

“You are, tell us more” Glimmer pushed

“She is a beautiful small magicat” Adora began

“Magicat? Interesting, I have heard they are covered in some of the softest fur you could ever imagine” Bow stated as his girlfriend elbowed him in the ribs

“Yes magicat, she is feisty to. Something about her just pulls me towards her, she flirted back when I flirted but I think she did it out of niceties. I think she is straight” Adora said poking their food

“You never know until you ask” Bow suggested

“Yeah but that isn’t something I can just ask” Adora stated shrugging

Adora allowed the conversation to drift as dinner went on, Glimmer was their best friend. Had been since they were children, Adora had begun her time in an orphanage but was adopted and brought into the most amazing family. They had been brought up to appreciate life and to keep their body healthy, but they pushed that further. The muscle and athletic ability they held made them feel true, they were ripped and it was something they would continue until they could not anymore. Their mind began to drift thinking of how Catra’s fingers would feel going along their abs and the nails that pierced the mucsles of their back. Shaking their head Adora returned back to the conversation in front of them, and wondered how the first day of school would go.

Catra was early, she knew after the late arrival the day before that she needed to be early to show she knew how to. Walking through the halls she stopped outside the gym, she could hear the rattle of weights before a door opening and footsteps echoing through the hall. She did not expect Adora to step out into view in baggy shorts and a tight sports bra, Catra gasped as she raked her eyes down the sculpted body. Adora had their back to her and she could see the braided blond hair but what she had not expected was a large tattoo down the middle of their back. Adora turned to face her and looked like they were chiseled out of marble, their muscles were well defined and she wanted to run her hands along their abs.

“Hey you” Adora said smiling

“Uh uh....”Catra stuttered as she turned and ran

Adora watched her run away, sighing as they turned into back towards the gym and into a private change room. Catra ran into her classroom, she had not expected to see Adora already nor did she expect to see them in that state of undress. She wanted to run her claws along those abs before pulling her down for a deep kiss, sitting down she grumbled and threw her head into her hands. This was not how her teaching career was suppose to go!

She half expected for Adora to come into her classroom before the students and part of her was actually upset when she didn’t. Soon the bell rang as students began to make their way into their first period classes, and so it began the first class she had was a grade twelve class. She watched as the students walked in but she could tell they did not wish to be there nor wished to listen to her.

“Good morning, my name is Miss Horde. I expect you all to show me the utmost respect and care while using the chemicals that we will be using. Does anyone have any questions?” Catra asked

“Yeah just one. When will we get an actual teacher? Not some teenager” A male student asked

“I am your teacher and if you do not like that you can leave. I will not deal with any arguments or idiocy in this class” Catra snarled slamming her hand onto the desk

“Oh look her tail is getting fluffy” A female student stated

“Really? We haven’t even started the year and you are being rude and abusive to a teacher?” Adora stated from the door frame

“And further more, Miss Horde here has my full support and blessing. If you have an issue with her then you have an issue with me. Do you understand?” Adora stated walking into the classroom

“Yes ma’am” The class answered nervously

“Open your books and begin reading” Catra stated grabbing Adora by the wrist

“What did you do that for?” Catra snapped in the hallway

“Saving you a confrontation that does not need to happen” Adora stated calmly

“I can handle myself” Catra snarled

“I know you can, you are stronger then you show. But I wanted to try to be helpful” Adora stated shrugging

“Do not do it again” Catra said beginning to calm down

“I will try not to, but it is hard to control myself around a pretty lady” Adora said smirking

“You think yourself as a charmer don’t you?” Catra said trying not to laugh

“Yes I am” Adora smiled while wiggling their eyebrows

“You are an idiot” Catra laughed loudly

“Yes I am” Adora said smiling before turning and making their way back into their classroom

Catra shook her head, she was thankful for the help. It seems that having Adora’s support was a god send, the students did not make any issue for the rest of class nor did the class after that and the class after that. Maybe having them as a friend was not a bad idea, to bad her damn body had other ideas. Catra prided herself on her control and had never been horny at school or in a public setting, but any time she was Adora she could feel herself growing wet. The week passed quickly, after that first incident no other class attempted to contradict Catra in her class. It was Friday before she finally got another look at a half dressed Adora as they stepped out of the weight room.

“Back for another show?” Adora asked smirking as they wiped their face with a towel

“You sure? I expected you to be late like you were the first day but instead you have been early every day since you last saw me half naked. It seems as though you wished to see a show” Adora winked

“No I just wanted to be here early” Catra stated lying

“Sure sure. So any plans for the weekend?” Adora asked stepping forward

“Not sure, my roommates will probably drag me out somewhere. You?” Catra gulped as Adora stood close to her

“Not sure yet” Adora stated shrugging

“Well have fun with that” Catra stated turning around her tail twitching about

“Oh one last question” Catra said turning back around looking at Adora

“What is that?” Adora asked

“What is the tattoo of?” Catra asked her ears pinning back knowing she was entering dangerous territory

“A sword” Adora stated turning around and moving their braid

Catra could see the tattoo fully now, the pummel and grip of a sword came up to the base of their skull while the intricate cross guard laid upon their shoulders while the blade ran along the middle of their back. Catra wanted to run her claws along the outline of the sword and wanted to ask everything about the tattoo but instead she almost squeaked before running down the hall. Adora looked back as they heard the footsteps, sighing they knew they had now pushed to much.

Catra could not believe how happy she was that it was the weekend, she was able to sleep in and still get marking down of the first assignments she had assigned. Finally stepping from her room in the early evening she found Scorpia and Perfuma snuggled up on the couch.

“Look how is alive” Perfuma stated chuckling

“I know I know, I need the sleep and to do some marking” Catra stated shrugging

“Well good thing you got your stuff done as we are going out tonight. Go get ready” Scorpia stated

“Where to?” Catra asked knowing this would happen

“A new gay bar opened yesterday” Scorpia retorted

“Fine” Catra answered before walking away

She hated water, always had. It was most likely the fact that she was a magicat, so showers and baths were one of those things that happened rarely. Stepping into the bathroom she turned the water on before stripping her clothes, she had at a young age shaved all the fur off her body but the resulting bullying was worse then when she had the fur on her. And the ingrown hairs that came from it was horrible, so she learned to live with it. Stepping into the hot water she allowed the water to warm her and drench her, she used special shampoo and a conditioner when she actually bathed. So it went, an hour later she was ready, her fur soft and a little fluffy which she despised but she know once she put clothes on that it would settle down. Stepping into her room she stood looking at her wardrobe, pulling a short skirt and crop top out she slipped into it before running out to her roommates.

“Oh its nice” Perfuma stated as they stepped into the club

“It is” Scorpia agreed

“It isn’t bad” Catra shrugged

“Oh come on. You need to get your mind off your coworker” Scorpia stated smacking her on the back

“I don’t have them on my mind” Catra snapped

“Sure sure, come lets drink” Perfuma said pulling her towards the bar

Catra grumbled but would not argue with free alcohol, soon she had a few more drinks bought for her by random women. She felt one grab her by the hand before off she went onto the dance floor. Adora looked around they had been told about this new bar and wondered what it would be like, they needed to get their mind off of Catra. Stepping inside the music was pounding and the dance floor was packed, slipping in and standing at the bar they ordered a drink before turning and scanning the room. Turning back around they felt their elbow hit a drink before it crashed to the floor.

“I am so sorry, let me buy you a new one” Adora said kindly

“It is my fault but sure” Perfuma stated

“Nice bar isn’t it?” Adora asked making small talk

“It is! You here by yourself?” Perfuma asked

“I am, you?” Adora countered

“Oh no, this is Scorpia my girlfriend and I am Perfuma. Our roommate is here somewhere” Perfuma chuckled

“I am Adora” Adora said kindly

“You are Adora?” Scorpia choked out

“You know who I am?” Adora asked confused

“We have heard about you, and Catra is correct you are a marble amazon” Scorpia chuckled

“Catra is here?” Adora choked out

“She is, over there” Perfuma said pointing out to the dancefloor

Adora smiled widely at the two women before turning and making their way towards the dancefloor, moving through the people they came upon Catra who was dancing alone but seemed to be enjoying themselves all the same. Taking a chance Adora slipped in behind them, Catra did not look back but continued to dance now just closer to Adora. Adora could feel Catra’s tail wrap around them pulling them closer.

“Fancy meeting you here” Adora said bending down and speaking into Catra’s ear

“Oh God” Catra choked

“So you are a lesbian” Adora said her breath tickling the fine fur on Catra’s ear

“Yes, why do you think I run from you every time you are half naked” Catra stated pushing farther back into Adora’s touch

Catra felt Adora’s large strong hands come to rest on her hips pulling her back against her body, Catra gave in reaching up and wrapped her hands around Adora’s neck holding her in place as her tail wrapped around Adora’s torso.

“Does the kitty want something?” Adora asked taking a chance

“Say it again” Catra said breathlessly

“Does the kitty want something?” Adora said pronouncing each word slowly

“Fucking hell” Catra shivered as her fur stood on end and a small purr escaped her lips

“You are as soft as I imagined” Adora whispered as they swayed to the music

“I am?” Catra asked running her claws along Adora’s neck

“You are, and I am only touching the fine fur. I bet there are other places where it is thicker and even softer” Adora whispered before nipping Catra’s ear

“Damnit Adora” Catra stated as she spun around in her grip

Adora looked down at the magicat in front of them, their pupils were dilated and their breathing heavy. Smirking as the same hands that held their neck earlier now reached out grabbing them by the hair and yanking them down. The first touch of their lips made Adora whimper, Catra felt Adora’s arms reach under her butt picking her up as though she weighed nothing. Catra knew to wrap her legs around the slim strong waist as her tail wrapped around Adora’s arms. A swipe of her tongue and Adora opened their mouth, they had never kissed a magicat but the fact that Catra’s tongue was rough made a shiver run down their spine. Catra could not believe she was up in Adora’s arms as she shover her tongue inside their mouth. Pulling back Catra looked at Adora who had a stupid look on their face.

“So you are pretty damn hot” Adora stated blushing

“You are not to bad yourself” Catra chuckled her ears moving around as she felt a rush of arousal soak her fur

“So should I put you down?” Adora asked

“You are an idiot” Catra shook her head

“Why?” Adora asked confused

“Because my tail is wrapped around your arms, my arms are wrapped around your neck and I am pretty damn sure you can feel how wet I am against that beautiful set of abs you have. Now what are we going to do?” Catra retorted

“We are going to go home now” Adora stated as they began to walk through the crowd of people with Catra still in their arms

Catra felt herself being placed down, she knew she would have to walk but she had been enjoying the feeling of being in Adora’s arms. She caught Scorpia’s eye as they walked past a large smile passing her friends face, soon she was being dragged from the club and into the cool air. She did not realize how large Adora’s hands were until they were threaded through her own.

“Mine or yours?” Adora asked

“Yours, well as long as you are alone” Catra said softly

“Deal, my roommates are out” Adora said smirking as they pulled Catra down the sidewalk

Catra did not remember much as she walked beside Adroa, but what she knew was that the feeling of her hands in theirs was something she did not want to give up. Two blocks was all they had to walk as they came to a stop in front of a townhome, she looked at the home in front of her slightly jealous that Adora had such a large place. Shaking her head she stepped inside, she attempted to look around but the moment she heard the door close behind her she was being pulled into Adora’s strong arms.

“Are you still sure?” Adora asked as they pinned Catra against the door

“You are an idiot sometimes, I am here why would I not be?” Catra stated rolling her eyes

“Consent is everything” Adora said smirking

“Fine...”Catra began before Adora’s lips came crashing down on her own

Catra melted into the touch as she felt Adora’s arms come under her ass picking her up and walking with her in their arms. Catra did not expect Adora’s large hand to gently grip her tail at the base causing a loud gasp to turn into a purr. Adora pulled back from the kiss suddenly and squeezed her tail once again, a groan escaped her causing a deep blush to pass her face. “Take your clothes off” Adora commanded

Catra was used to being the one who gave the orders but here Adora was in charge and Catra enjoyed it, sitting up she hooked her fingers into the hem of her shirt and pulled it off her body. Looking up at Adora she found them to be biting their lip as they watched the actions. Catra did not know why this made her more aroused but something in the way they watched her made her want to spread her legs even faster. “You forgot clothing” Adora said breathlessly

Catra understood some people used binders while others used tape and it seemed as though Adora used cloth. “Left it there, didn’t want to do it” Markus stated

“Stay behind after class” Catra grumbled

Catra had not wanted the day to go this way, it was the last class of the day and she had not heard from Markus’s father. Soon the class was finishing and the other students made their way from the classroom as Markus sat watching and waiting.

“You need to do your homework” Catra stated sternly

“Why? It has no use for me” Markus said nonchalantly

“Because to graduate you need my class. What does your dad think?” Catra questioned

“He thinks it is a stupid class” Markus stated

“Why would he think that?” Catra questioned annoyed

“Ask him yourself” Markus said pointing behind her

“Ah you must be Markus’s father” Catra said her demeanor changing

“I am. Why did you email me about his lack of schoolwork?” Markus’s dad stated

“Because as his father, you are the last person we will speak with before having to fail a student” Catra

“Oh no you don’t, he is a star athlete. He cannot fail” Markus’s dad snarled

“He can and he will if he does not do his work” Catra said her nervousness increasing as this large man stepped towards her

“I said he doesn’t need to do it. So that is that” Markus’s dad snapped

“And I as his teacher state he needs to do it” Catra snapped as he stepped into her space

“You are exactly like he described you. A stupid dyke, something that should have never happened. And you have a ring on your finger, what has this world come to? Who would want you” Markus’s dad spat

“You can leave both of you. I will be speaking with the principle and he will be failing my class. Good day” Catra said turning to walk away

“Oh no you don't you little bitch” Markus’s dad said grabbing her arm as he turned her before grabbing her by the neck and slamming her to the wall

“You listen to me right now, you are passing...Who the fuck?” Markus asked as Adora pulled him into a headlock

“Let go of her now” Adora snarled pulling him from her as Catra slid down the wall clutching her neck as she took in deep breaths

“Who the fuck are you? Let me go” Markus’s dad snarled

“I am her mate. Leave before I have you arrested” Adora snapped

Adora turned him so he was facing the door, they could feel him clawing at their arm as their oxygen was slowly being depleted. Pushing them from behind they sent him towards Markus before turning to look at Catra who sat on the floor wide eyed. Adora knew better then to turn around but their worry for Catra out weighed what they should had done, the hand on their shoulder as they were turned and a fist to the face came right after. Adora felt the crunch of their nose before the sound of the quick footfalls as the two of them ran from the room. Catra was scrambling back onto her feet as she came to a stop in front of a bleeding Adora.

“Fuck, I am sorry. That is not how I thought the conversation would go” Catra said pulling a cloth from her desk

“It is fine. We need to get their information though. I am pressing charges” Adora said holding the cloth to their face

“You were hurt because of me” Catra said pulling the cloth back to look at the reddened face of Adora

“And I would die for you. A broken nose is nothing” Adora said smiling their stupid smile as blood leaked down their face

“No dying. Do we need to go to the hospital?” Catra asked looking closer at their nose

“It my nose straight?” Adora asked

“Nope, not at all” Catra said her stomach churning

“Then off we go” Adora said holding the cloth to their face again

“Great start to our holidays” Catra said shaking her head

“Very, but you are worth it. We need to stop and get their information as well, as we will be calling the cops on the way” Adora mumbled

“Why are you so calm?” Catra asked confused

“Because you are safe, that is all that matters” Adora said moving the cloth as they smiled

“You are an idiot, but I love you” Catra said sighing as she led Adora out of the class room

Catra hated the smell of the hospital, it over powered ever one of her senses. She sat in the waiting room surrounded by screaming children and more people coughing then she had ever been around. Adora sat paperwork in front of them as they tried to stem the blood still dripping out of their nose.

“Why don’t I fill it in?” Catra asked gently

“Could you? My health card is in my wallet” Adora stated as they felt Catra’s hand slip into their pant pocket

“Of course you idiot. I cannot believe you did what you did” Catra said shaking her head

“I would do it again and you know it” Adora stated leaning their head down to keep the blood from the back of their throat

Catra shook her head, the moment they had walked into the principals office hell had broken loose. Principal Walker was furious when she had explained what had happened, information in hand they had called the police on their way to the hospital. As it was a non emergency at that moment they would send an officer out when they could to get their statements. Coming to the emergency contact section she stared at it before looking over at Adora.

“Would I be the emergency contact?” Catra asked

“I would assume so, you are my mate are you not?” Adora chuckled but soon groaned at the pain

“I just wanted to make sure. Now what should I put as my relation to you? I don’t think they will take mate as a relation” Catra said tapping the paper

“Put my wife. Technically you are” Adora said softly

Catra felt the blush creep up her neck and cheeks at the comment, she always felt this way when Adora said things like this. Soon the paperwork was done and she was making her way up with the papers before coming to sit beside Adora once more. She felt their strong hand come and rest on their lap, slipping her hand into theirs she soon had her tail wrapped around Adora’s leg running it along her thigh in a calming manner. The time passed slowly, Adora’s nose had stopped bleeding two hours before but the wait was driving her crazy. Each time she looked over at the very bruised and swollen face of her mate she wanted to scream and find the man who did this.

“Adora?” The nurse called out

“That is me” Adora said standing but not letting go of Catra’s hand

“Please follow me. And you are?” The nurse asked

“My wife” Adora stated in a tone which said not to argue

Catra wrapped her tail around Adora’s waist as they walked the hallway and towards a small room, the nurse took their vitals before stepping out. Catra once again hated the waiting, ten minutes then thirty then finally another hour passed before the doctor walked in. Catra had to keep her mouth shut as the doctor chatted away with Adora before beginning to examining them. Catra watched as her strong partner flinched as though they were in the worst pain as he touched their cheek. A small shake of his head and Adora was off towards x-ray, Catra hated waiting alone but it was not somewhere she could go. The click of the door opening half an hour later saw Adora walking back in, their face a pallet of purples and blacks.

“How was that?” Catra asked reaching to touch them

“Fine, it was a normal x-ray. I am a little concerned that he wanted a face x-ray” Adora said as the knock on the door brought them from their chat

“Alright let us have a look” The doctor stated

Catra sat up straight watching as the doctor typed away on the computer before bringing up the pictures. She could not see over his shoulder but the shake of his head as he clicked through the photo’s told her something was not right.

“Alright, your nose is broken and out of place. You also have a deviated septum which needs surgery to deal with. However the reason you are tender to touch on your right cheek is that the punch cracked your cheek bone. It looks like it is partially out of line, so surgery and a small plate will be needed to keep it in place” The doctor stated

“Really? Fuck” Adora swore

“I will speak with admitting and you will be moved to a room, then a surgeon will come and speak with you. You will be here overnight at least” The doctor stated

“Alright” Adora said sighing and shaking their head as the doctor stepped out

“I am sorry” Catra said tears running down her cheeks

“Hey no baby no. No reason to be sorry” Adora said slipping from the bed and pulling Catra out of her seat and into their arms

“But this is my fault” Catra whimpered

“No, this is far from your fault. None of this is your fault” Adora said holding her close

“But you were hurt because of me” Adora said softly

“And I would do it again and again. But I think our relaxing plans for this holiday week have changed” Adora said shaking their head

“I know, shit I should call and get my appointment changed for my dress” Catra said realizing

“No, you will still go. I will be fine by myself. Now once we are in a room, I think calling Glimmer would be smart and have her and Bow come get you and bring you home to get clothes and things like that. Have one of them drive the car home” Adora said softly

“I don't want to dress shop if you are in the hospital” Catra said shaking her head

“I want you to. This is nothing love, please?” Adora pushed

“Fine, but I am taking care of you again. No complaints when we are home” Catra said poking them in the chest

“I will try not to complain to much, now no more crying” Adora said wiping the tears from her soft fur

“I love you” Catra said leaning her head on their strong chest

“Adora? I am here to take you up” The nurse said after knocking

Adora nodded, the pain in their face was getting worse as the swelling continued. Soon they were being placed in a private room, the coming and goings of the nurses and soon the surgeon kept them on their toes. Adora had sent a message to Glimmer and soon her and Bow were there sitting and waiting. Catra watched as a new nurse walked in, before beckoning Adora to follow her. Catra watched as Adora took a deep breath before attempting to place a kiss on her head, but each time they would touch their nose and a groan of pain was heard. Catra finally kissed their not broken cheek before watching them walking behind the nurse.

“They will be okay” Glimmer said as they walked to tehri cars

“I know, but it just is hard. They are hurt because of me” Catra said her ears flattening against her head

“Yes they are but they would not have it any other way” Glimmer stated as they got into their car

“I know I just hate it” Catra said as Glimmer started driving

“I know you do. Now we are going home yes? Are you coming back?” Glimmer asked

“Yes, I just needed to get clothes for myself and Adora. Then I will be going dress shopping still tomorrow as per Adora” Catra said rolling her eyes

“I will come get you tomorrow for the appointment. And then let me know when you need to be brought home and I will come get you two as well” Glimmer said kindly

“Thank you” Catra said as she ran her hands along her tail calming herself

It took twenty minutes to get home and just as much for her to organized the items they needed before feeding Melog and once again rushing out of the house. She knew that Adora would be in surgery for a while but she needed and wanted to be there. Glimmer would not hear it, making sure to stop so that Catra could eat much to Catra’s annoyance and happiness. Two hours later she was finally returning to Adora’s room, the room was still empty and her heart sank. Plopping herself into the large chair she waited and waited, scrolling her phone until she heard the murmuring of others as the door opened as Adora was wheeled in.

“You are?” The nurse asked

“Their wife” Catra stated

“Alright. The surgeon will be in, in a little to chat with you” The nurse said as they pushed the bed into its spot

Catra watched as Adora breathed slowly, their nose was once again straight and there now sat a small bandage covering their cheek where the incision was. Adora was not awake but they looked as though they were not in pain which made Catra happy.

“Mrs.??..” The surgeon asked

“Catra Shera” Catra stated enjoying how Adora’s last name sounded against her name

“Adora did well. A small plate was place in their cheek, the bones are back in place and their nose and deviated septum are repaired. Nothing to over exert them for the next little while, the incision will scar but I made it as small as possible. I was told this was due to an assault, my documented findings will be available to the police when they arrive. If you need anything just ring the bell” The surgeon stated

“When can they leave?” Catra asked

“As long as the pain is manageable and no complications arrive, tomorrow evening” The surgeon stated as they walked out

Catra looked at Adora, running their hand along their forehead she pushed the blonde hair from their face. They looked like crap like this and would for a few days but in her heart she knew Adora did not care and would take much worse for her.

“You are staring” Adora said softly

“I am because of how handsome you are” Catra said perching herself on the bed

“And you are my beautiful kitty” Adora said softly

“How high are you right now?” Catra asked chuckling

“Very. Everything good?” Adora asked

“Everything is good. Close your eyes and relax” Catra said softly

“You need to come snuggle and purr. Purring heals” Adora said off in her own world as she drifted back to sleep

Catra shook her head, crawling under her arm she laid so her head rested over Adora’s heart. She had also heard years before that cat purrs have a soothing and healing reaction to a body so she wondered if hers did as well. Either way this was what Adora wanted, taking a deep breath and closing her eyes she allowed her body to begin purring. The way Adora’s body relaxed told her it was working as the strong arm that was around her shoulder moved and pulled her closer.

Catra had fallen asleep on Adora’s chest, they had been woken an hour later by a police officer knocking on their door. Adora woke first as they shook Catra gently until she was awake but she did not move from the bed but instead curled into Adora more and began purring once more. Adora’s large strong hand ran up and down her back as she listen to Adora giving their statement about the attack before she began her story. The police officer stood nodding as he wrote each detail down, soon he was walking out with the information that was needed to have him charged with assault.

“How are you feeling?” Catra asked softly

“I am okay, my face hurts but I will be okay. I am a cyborg now” Adora chuckled

“You are an idiot, but I love you dearly” Catra said her purring slowing

“Does it tire you to purr?” Adora asked softly

“No why?” Catra countered

“Can you keep doing it? It calms me, I really hate staying the night in the hospital” Adora said softly

“When have you stayed over night?” Catra asked intrigued

“I am surprised you have never asked me why I do not get a period” Adora countered

“I didn’t think about it. I only get one twice a year, right after my heat as you saw. But now that you say that, why do you not get one?” Catra asked confused

“When I hit around sixteen I started feeling sick, we thought it was because I was growing so fast and just stupid things like that. Then I got sicker, we went to doctor after doctor but they told me it was just womanly things. They would not believe me or my parents until I finally found a doctor that believed I was actually sick” Adora said softly

“Adora” Catra said softly

“It is okay, you need to know this and I am sorry I have not told you already” Adora said softly

“I love you no matter what you tell me” Catra said her purring ramping up to help calm them

“The doctor I went to was a OBGYN, a few tests and she knew what it was. I was young so no other doctor expected me to have cancer of my reproductive organs. My parents and I made the decision to have them removed and to have the cancer treatments done. My parents were more upset about me loosing the organs then I was, I knew I was not fully female at that age already so to me it was not as upsetting. I was just happy to have it removed, I knew if I wanted children later in life then my partner would have to have them or we would adopt them. So yeah, that would be why I do not get my period. I technically should take estrogen but I prefer how my body is without it. My doctor says as long as my numbers stay in the proper rang then I am fine. I am sorry for not telling you” Adora said looking at Catra who looked back up at them

“That must have been so horrible to go through at so young of an age, I am sorry Adora. But I agree that what mattered was you staying alive, the organs can be taken to keep you alive. Is there a chance of cancer coming back?” Catra asked her purring hitching as she asked that

“There is a chance, but it is low. I have the same chance as you to get it again, you are not upset that I did not tell you?” Adora asked

“Not at all, that is your story to tell not mine. So you needed to tell me when it was time, I take it that is why you hate being in the hospital overnight?” Catra countered

“Yup, spent a week in the hospital afterwards as there was a few minor complications. So many reminders of that time, it was one thing to be in and out for chest surgery. But the fact that I have to stay here tonight it brought back all those memories. You are staying tonight right?” Adora asked worried

“You know I am. I am not leaving your side until tomorrow morning when I have to go dress shopping. Then I will be back and you will be coming home. And I will be taking care of you, because I love you but I feel as though you can hardly see through those swollen eyes of yours” Catra chuckled gently

“Yes and no. I can see through my left eye a bit more then my right, but they did cut my right cheek open so makes sense” Adora said smiling before wincing

“I cannot believe he cracked your cheek. Please don't do something like that again, I cant loose you” Catra said her hands running along Adora’s clothed stomach

“You will never loose me, you are stuck with me baby. The scar on my neck means you are stuck with me” Adora said chuckling

“Why am I in love with an idiot?” Catra said shaking her head

“Because I am your idiot” Adora said bending to kiss the top of her head

“Ouch” Adora said as they hit their nose

“Be careful. No kisses for you for a while, we need to keep your face in one piece” Catra said shaking her head again

“To bad, I had so many plans for this week” Adora smirked

“I bet you did, I did to. Now how many pain are you in?” Catra asked

“A lot, why?” Adora countered

“Because of this” CAtra said sitting up and hitting the pain med button

“Oh, I forgot about that” Adora chuckled

“I know, and you will forget a large amount of things in a few minutes. I love you Adora, now close your eyes and sleep. I am not going anywhere, and I will lay on your chest and purr until I have fallen asleep” Catra said settling herself as Adora’s eyes slowly began to droop

“Love you my kitty, you are beautiful. My beautiful kitty, such a soft kitty” Adora said as the morphine soon hit

“And I love you my handsome warrior” Catra said watching as Adora faded into sleep

Catra hated leaving Adora, she knew she said she would go but the fact that she had to leave them made her nervous. But now she sat in a wedding dress shop with Glimmer, Perfuma and Scorpia as she ran her hands along her tail trying to calm her nervousness.

“Adora is fine, you need to calm down” Scorpia stated

“I know, it’s just hard. I don't like being away from them when they are in the hospital” Catra said shaking her head

“Now who is the bride?” The sales attendant asked

“I am” Catra said raising her hand

“Excellent, have you looked at any dresses yet?” The sales attendant asked

“No, this is the first time” Catra said still stroking her tail

“All right, now do you have any silhouettes that you like or have seen?” The shop attendants asked

“No, I am an open book. I just need a design that can have my tail out and about” Catra explained

“Alright, and your budget?” The shop attendant asked one last time

“I don’t have one” Catra said finding it odd but Adora had stated that she could spend as much as she wanted

The shop attendant nodded, be beckoning her to follow. Taking a deep breath she stood and followed her, dress after dress was placed in front of her but only three caught her eye. Soon she was walking out in the first, the women in front of her all gasped but something was not right about it. And then she was walking out in the second, the gasps were louder but she still felt as though it was not the right now. Finally she was stepping out in the last dress, the loud gasps and murmuring told her what she needed to know. She looked at herself in the large mirrors and she was in love.

“So?” Catra asked

“You look amazing, Adora is going to die” Glimmer said truthfully

“I love it, I think this is the one” Catra said running her hands along the dress

“Then it is the one” Scorpia stated

“How much?” Catra asked nervously

“Seventy-five hundred” The shop attendant stated

“Oh my wow” Catra choked out

“Adora did say spend how ever much you need to” Glimmer reminded her

“I will take it” Catra said softly

“Perfect. Let me begin your measurements and when are you needing it?” The shop attendant asked

“July please” Catra said as the measuring began

“So?” Adora asked as Catra and Glimmer walked in

“I found one” Catra said softly

“Perfect, thank you for taking her Glim” Adora said as they sat in the bed

“Of course. Are you sure you are okay? Your face is rough” Glimmer stated

“I am sure. I have had much worse, all I need is Catra by my side and I will be okay” Adora stated as Catra propped herself on the bed

“And I am not going anywhere” Catra said placing a gentle kiss on their forehead

“Adora sit down now” Catra snapped

“Don’t need to be an ass about it” Adora snapped back

“I am sorry, I should not have snapped. It is just hard when you have yet to sit down. You need to relax, you had surgery and had a metal plate put into your face” Catra said softly

“That gives you no right to snap at me” Adora countered

“I know, I just am scared. It is stupid, I am just going to leave you be” Catra said attempting to walk from the kitchen

“Catra, no please speak to me” Adora said catching her wrist and pulling her in against their chest

“No, it is stupid” Catra states shaking her head against their chest

“Nothing from your brilliant brain is stupid. Come on now” Adora said lifting her into their arms and walking them out of the kitchen towards the couch

“You shouldn’t be carrying me” Catra said trying to break their grip

“If you squirm you could hurt me, if you stay still I will be fine” Adora said truthfully

“I hate when you are right” Catra grumbled as they sat

“Now what is wrong?” Adora asked softly running their hands along her back

“It is stupid” Catra mumbled into their beck

“Nothing is stupid if it bothers you. Now what is bothering you?” Adora pushed gently

“You will not stop, you are hurt Adora. This was not a planned surgery and you were hurt because of me. I don’t want you straining yourself and hurting yourself more” Catra said tears running down her cheeks

“I understand your worry. I am okay though, I am in pain but it is manageable. I will not do something that will cause me more harm or hinder my recovery” Adora said softly feeling her tears soaking into their shirt

“I don’t want to loose you, I can’t loose you. Adora I do not know what I would do without you” Catra said her body shaking

“Shh, let it all out. I am not going anywhere, you have to deal with me for the rest of your life. I will always be there for you, through sickness and health. I will never do something to push myself to far and cause harm to myself, unless it is keeping you safe. Then I will do anything and everything to keep you safe” Adora said softly running their hands slowly under the back of her shirt and running their fingers slowly through their fur

“No more stupid chivalrous acts okay? I can’t keep seeing you like this, it hurts me to see you like this. I need you to stay relaxed please. You have a week to heal some before school starts again” Catra said her body finally beginning to calm from Adora’s touches

“I cannot promise no more chivalrous acts, but I will try my hardest not to do anything stupid okay? Now how about we both go and make dinner?” Adora asked gently

“Okay, but snuggles for a few more minutes” Catra countered

“Okay, on one condition. You purr” Adora countered

“You and my purring recently, but yes I can do that” Catra countered as she allowed her body to relax and begin purring as she wrapped her tail around Adora’s thigh

“Are you sure about this?” Catra asked as they slipped into the car

“I am sure. We need to look at venues” Adora said slipping into the passenger seat

“I know but you had a plate put into your face two days ago” Catra said her tail wrapping around Adora’s thigh the moment they sat down

“Catra, I am okay. Pain meds are good and I am healing. This place books out years in advanced, the fact that they had a opening for around when we want to get married is amazing. So we are seeing it” Adora stated running their hand along Catra’s tail

Catra sighed she always hated when Adora was right like this, this garden had been on her radar for years. As a young girl she remembered seeing an old magazine in her orphanage one day. The front cover was this beautiful garden in full bloom with a simple arch in the middle, from that moment she was obsessed. But it was not something she had ever expected to be able to do herself, but the moment Adora had proposed she knew where she wanted to get married. Catra had explained the garden she had in her mind and Adora knew exactly where she was talking about. And so they were on their way to that one place that had always held a place in her heart.

“Oh it is so nice” Catra said as they pulled up to the small house

“It is, the house is over three hundred years old. Some say it is haunted to” Adora chuckled

“Of course they do. I can’t believe this place is real, I always thought it was a place I would never see” Catra stated as they stepped from the car

“It is real my love, now come” Adora said extending their hand and stepping into the house

“Welcome, you must be Catra and Adora. My name is Sarah, oh my. Are you alright?” Sarah asked worried

“Yes I am fine. Little incident a few days ago, but I am fine” Adora said chuckling

“Very good. Now welcome to the Garden house, we are the premier wedding destination. The house is a little over three hundred years old, and was built by the first settlers. Now the house may be small but it has all the amenities that you need. What we are known for is our gardens, the first flowers were planted when the house was built. But it was not until fifty years ago that the previous owner planted the flowers we now know. Would you like to come and see the yard?” Sarah asked

“Please” Catra said excited as her tail thrashes behind her

Adora smiled down at their partner, she was beyond excited and Adora wanted to make sure that she got everything that she could ever want. The moment they stepped outside the loud gasp from Catra set this place in stone, the yard was massive with flowers decorating every inch. The large cherry blossom tree that stood behind the arch pulled everything together.

“We can accommodate up to a hundred guests. Once the ceremony is done we have the reception area next door” Sarah explained

“Does the reception area include food and drink?” Adora asked as Catra walked around looking at the flowers

“Yes, if you decide to take the date then we will send you a menu and you will be able to choose from either a buffet or plated” Sarah explained

“We will take it” Adora stated

“You do not need to speak with Catra?” Sarah asked

“Nope, I can tell by her face this is what she wants and nothing would change that. This venue is beautiful and is exactly what we want” Adora staed

“Then why do we not head inside and get the paperwork and deposit dealt with?” Sarah offered

“Catra, I am going inside for a few moments” Adora called out

“Okay” Catra said going from flower patch to flower patch

“She is in love” Sarah chuckled

“She is, she saw it in a magazine years ago and it stuck with her. I will make her dreams come true, and this is the place she wished for but never expected to get. So let us get this all dealt with” Adora said as they stepped into the office

Adora listened as Sarah began explaining the contract, the information was straight forward in regards to the rules and regulations of the building. Soon they were coming to the date as well as the decision Adora made to have the reception here as well. A menu was placed in front of them, before the contact was signed as the door to the office opened.

“Whatcha doing?” Catra asked

“Making your dream come true. Here is the menu, we will need to choose what we want to do but we have a few days to do it” Adora said handing the menu off

“You didn’t” Catra said her tail fluffing up in excitement

“I did. This is where we are getting married” Adora said softly trying not to smile to much as it hurt

“I love you” Catra said wrapping her arms around Adora’s shoulders

“I am very glad we had the cancellation that you two were willing to take. Not many couples can take a spot that is only four months away” Sarah said as they walked towards the front door

“Nothing about our relationship is slow. We have only been together since September. So fast is what we do” Adora explained

“Well good for you two. Now any questions call me or email me and I will get back to you. Good day to you both” Sarah said as she shook both their hands

“Are you happy?” Adora asked as they opened the door for Catra

“I am beyond happy. Thank you” Catra said as she slipped into the car

“I love you more the the world, and if this is the start of giving you the world then I will do it over and over again” Adora said as they slipped into the car

“You have already given me the world” Catra said softly as they began their way home

“I will never get over how sexy you look like that” Catra said watching Adora putter around their backyard without a shirt on

“Well I am glad you like it so much. I feel as though I have lost muscle” Adora said shrugging as they walked to stand in front of Catra

“You have not. You won’t lose your muscle by missing a few days of lifting. You hardly lost any muscle after chest surgery, so not lifting for another few weeks while your face heals will be fine” Catra chuckled as she ran her hand along their chest

“I know it is healing. See” Adora said smiling widely as she winced

“You are such an idiot” Catra said shaking her head

“I am your idiot though” Adora chuckled

“Did you eat something wrong?” Adora asked softly

“No, Adora what else would make me puke this early int he morning?” Catra asked softly

“I am not sure...Wait. Are you?” Adora asked their voice catching

“I am, I planned on telling you tonight. I guess magicats just take longer to show” Catra said softly as she flushed the toilet and looked at Adora’s smiling face

“We are having a baby” Adora said softly pulling Catra into their lap

“We are. We are having a baby” Catra said clinging to Adora as the tears of happiness began to run down her cheeks

“We have lots to do now! Oh names, Catra what are we going to name our kit?” Adora began

“I don’t know yet, but we will find a name for them. Oh they will be so loved” Catra said softly as Swifty slowly name her way into the room

“Were you keeping this secret from me to? Did you know momma was pregnant?” Adora asked as Swifty laid her head on Catra’s lap

“She seemed to know immediately, remember how she would not leave me be for a whole week? I think that is when it took hold, now every time I am puking she is there with me” Catra said petting her gently

“Why didn’t you tell me earlier?” Adora asked softly

“Because I was worried, I wanted to make sure it kept. I have taken ten tests and all say pregnant. I had a big plan to surprise you tonight at dinner. But I guess this is how you found out. I'm sorry it isn’t as good as it should have been” Catra said burying her face in Adora’s chest

“Oh Catra, you could have just thrown a test at me and said nothing and it would have been perfect. Because you are pregnant and we are having a baby. We are becoming the family that we both want, I am so happy. No more will you be sick alone, we go through this together my love” Adora said kissing the top of her head over and over

“I feel like a whale” Catra grumbled as she moved around the house

“You are beautiful” Adora countered

“A beautiful whale” Catra countered back

“You do not look like a whale, Catra you are eight and a half months pregnant. You are growing two little kits in your belly, I think you are beautiful” Adora said bending down and wrapping their arms under her ass and picking her up and placing her on the counter

“I know, but I feel ugly. My belly is massive, at least I am covered in fur so you can’t see my stretch marks” Catra said shaking her head

“Hey now, don’t get into your head baby. You a beautiful no matter what you look like. And those stretch marks you talk about make you even more beautiful because it means you created new life. Now how about I go out and get your favorite ice cream and we can sit and watch a movie?” Adora offered

“I would like that, can you get chocolate and chips as well?” Catra asked hopefully

“I get whatever you wish for my love, go put your feet up and snuggle with Swifty and Melog” Adora said helping her from the counter

“I sit down now Swifty won’t let you snuggle into me later” Catra said chuckling as she shuffled to the couch

“I know, her protectiveness of you has increased ten fold. She can’t wait to meet our kits. Now go relax, I will be back. Need you all rested for the baby shower tomorrow” Adora said placing a kiss on Catra’s head before slipping from the house

“How are you feeling momma?” The nurse asked

“Like a bloated whale, fuck” Catra grumbled as a contraction hit

“Is it time for me to come behind you?” Adora asked nervously

“If you do not come and hold me I will cut off your non existent penis” Catra grumbled as her tail flicked

“That isn’t a very scary threat” Adora chuckled as they slipped in behind her

“Oh” Catra said as she felt Adora’s strong arms wrap around her

“There we go, you calmed down quickly. Your heart was just racing but as soon Adora slipped in you calmed right down” The nurse stated as she watched the monitor

“Well what can I say? I am her stress ball” Adora joked

“And my idiot” Catra said shaking her head

“Fuck” Catra screamed digging her claws into Adora’s arm

“You are bleeding dear” The nurse said worried

“It is fine, I don’t even notice the claws anymore. If it makes he feel better then she can do it as much as she wanted” Adora said softly kissing the side of Catra’s head

Adora kept hold of Catra, reaching around so pull her harder against their chest. The contraction soon became one after another, the screams and thrashing of her tail were constant. Adora knew they would also be wearing new scars ones they would never complain about. The moment the screams of the first little kit pierced the room as the little kit was placed on her chest, Catra immediately grasped them before a kiss from Adora on the side of her head meant good job. Two minutes later one last contraction and push and there came the second kit. They had not planned on twins but sometimes with IVF multiples would happen, and she and Adora could not be happier. Adora soon slipped from behind Catra as the nurses began asking for signatures, returning a few minutes later they looked at the little male kit suckling away at Catra’s breast. His fur was dark like Catra’s with a a few lighter patches, while their female kit had blonde fur just like Adora’s hair. Adora stared at her for a moment watcher her little tail going back and forth as she laid in a bassinet with her lip beginning to tremble.

“Oh do not cry my little one” Adora said softly reaching down to pick her up

“Trade?” Catra asked softly

“Come here little man” Adora said taking him from her arms before handing their daughter over

“You look amazing with two children in your arms” Catra said as their daughter latched

“As do you. Now are we still thinking the same names we decided on?” Adora asked softly

“Yes please. Little Fynn in your arms and little Mira here” Catra said running her finger along Mira’s cheek

“Our family” Adora said rocking Fynn

“Our family, a family introduced me to six years ago” Catra said watching Adora blush

“A family I will protect with my life. Your momma and pappa love you both already so much” Adora said softly

“Is that the title you decided on?” Catra asked looking up at Adora

“It fits so much better then momma, or parent. I will be papa, if you are okay with that” Adora said coming to sit on her bedside

“Then papa welcome to our wonderful life now” Catra said her tail wrapping around Adora’s waist

Five years after twins born

Catra watched the twins run around their backyard, it was their fifth birthday and they were obsessed with the puppy that ran around with them. Swifty had passed the year before, she had lived to thirteen and was loved to the very last moment. It was the hardest thing Adora had to do in years as they carried her to the car one last time while Catra and the twins watched from the window. But the little puppy that now ran around after the twins was healing a hole in their heart, the twins had been asking for over six months for a puppy as the had a missing piece in their heart. Adora finally gave in, they knew to was time to bring a new animal into their life. So there now ran a little mini Australian Sheppard all around the backyard.

“She loves it here” Catra said slipping beside Adora

“She does, and the twins decided her name name is princess. After She-ra and the princesses of power show they have been watching” Adora said chuckling

“Works well, that is not a bad name for a fluffy puppy like her” Catra said kissing their cheek

“Are you ready for all of our friends and our nieces and nephews?” Adora asked

“I am, are you?” Catra countered

“I am, lots of children hyped up on sugar. Always fun” Adora chuckled

“Papa?” Mira asked as she stopped in front of them

“Yes sweety?” Adora asked

“Fynn says I am funny looking” Mira said upset

“Why did he say that?” Adora asked pulling her into their lap

“He said that him and momma look like real magicat’s, because they have dark fur. And all pictures he has seen show a magicat with dark fur. Then I have blonde fur, so I look funny” Mira said burying her face against Adora’s chest

“Everyone has different hair and fur color, you are as much of a magicat as he is. He got momma’s dark fur, and you got my hair color. Now go tell him that he is stinky and mean. If he continues I will talk with him okay?” Adora said gently

“Thank you pappa” Mira said hugging Adora before running off

“You are taking me to bed tonight and pounding me into the bed” Catra said lowly

“Really now? Going to be my dirty kitty?” Adora asked smirking

“I am always your dirty kitty” Catra said wiggling her eyebrows as the doorbell rang

Ten years after twins birth

“Why are we going all the way out here to meet this person?” Catra asked confused

“I am not sure, they said to meet at the cabin. So this is where we are meeting. It is a nice night away from the twins” Adora said truthfully

“Yes it is, we don’t get many of those. Don’t get me wrong, I love our kits but just to have a night just me and you is lovely” Catra said placing her hand on Adora’s thigh

Adora smiled as they grabbed Catra’s hand and squeezed it, they had gotten a letter from a lawyer a week before stating they were to come to the lakeside cabin on this specific date. No other information or anything else, Adora found it odd as the people who owned it had passed away three months before. They had allowed them to stay every summer for a few weeks since their honeymoon, Adora had felt their heart drop knowing that they may never get to stay at the cabin after this again. Pulling into the gravel pathway they soon were stopping beside another car.

“You must be Adora and Catra, welcome” The lawyer stated

“Thank you, it is a lovely place isn’t it?” Adora said truthfully

“It is, and it is now yours” The lawyer stated

“Pardon me?” Catra said confused

“As you know the owners passed away three months before. They were childless and in their will they left the cabin and the surrounding land to you both. This means you have have inherited the cabin, the land it sits on as well as twenty acres, the boat dock and so on and so forth” The lawyer explained

“Wow okay, Catra? What do you think?” Adora asked

“I think it is perfect. The moment you brought me here I fell in love with it, I wished it was ours more times then I should have” Catra said her ears flattening

“Then it is ours. What paperwork do we need to sign?” Adora asked

“We shall step inside and begin?” The lawyer asked

“Lead the way” Adora said taking Catra’s hand

Fifteen years after twins were born

“Momma?” Mira asked

“Yes?” Catra countered lowering her book

“Can I ask you something? Fynn wanted to know to but he was to scared to ask” Mira stated

“Go get him and we will talk about it together. Do we need papa as well?” Catra asked

“It is about papa...” Mira stated

“Go get papa, we will not have a conversation about them without them” Catra stated

Catra watched as Mira nodded before slipping from the room, Mira and Fynn were complete opposites. Fynn was the quiet artistic one who loved to paint and play music, while his school marks were near perfect. His appearance was always well kept never a piece of fur out of line. Then there was Mira, she was the wild child, kind and compassionate but stood up for what she believed in. She was obsessed with the gym just like Adora, her fur was always clean and well kept but she did not care if it was out of line. Her long mane of hair slowly became shorter and shorter as she hit her teenage years. Adora and Catra had some ideas as to why but they allowed her to tell them on their own time.

“Everything okay?” Adora asked confused

“It is, our children have a question that Fynn was to nervous to ask so he sent Mira to ask” Catra said shaking her head

“Shift over love” Adora said as they picked her up and sat down before putting her back on their lap

“That was not shifting over” Catra said rolling her eyes

“It was to me” Adora said placing a kiss on the side of her head

“You two are cheesy” Fynn stated

“That is what happens when you are in love” Adora countered

“Oh okay” Fynn said nodding

“So what is it that you wanted to ask?” Catra said looking at Fynn

“I umm...” Fynn said nervously

“He wants to know why papa is called papa even though they are biologically female. And why does papa have those scars on their chest” Mira stated

“Mira!” Fynn said his ears flattening

“Fynn you are allowed to ask questions, we have never fully went into it but we have never kept thisaway from you two” Catra stated

“Can you tell us then momma?” Fynn asked hopefully

“I think papa should be the one to tell you okay? Listen and ask questions after” Catra stated

“Okay” Mira and Fynn stated together

“You know I do not like feminine terms, and that is why momma calls me her spouse or partner or mate. I am non-binary, I do not feel like I am either gender. I prefer neutral terms but in certain things I prefer male terms. So papa instead of parent or momma. Does that make sense?” Adora asked

“It does” Fynn said nodding his head

“I have the scars on my chest because to make myself more comfortable I have gender affirming surgery only a few months into knowing momma. It means I had my breasts removed so that I had a flat chest, it made me feel better about myself” Adora explained

“Oh okay, that makes sense. Why did you not tell us before?” Fynn asked

“Some things don’t need to be talked about until they come up, but I also needed you to be at a age that you would fully understand” Adora stated

“I understand. So does that mean if we loved anyone you both would be okay with it? If we were like you, you would be okay with it?” Mira asked nervously

“Yes, if you come out as a lesbian or gay. If you come out as non-binary or trans. We will love you. Because, love is what made this family. Love is what brought us together, love is never perfect. But love is what makes the world go round. We love you both no matter what, just like I love your mother with my whole heart” Adora said kissing Catra’s cheek

“I love you to, my handsome idiot. Your papa showed me love years ago, and will continue to show me love until the day we die. And we will show you both love no matter what” Catra said

Catra watched as the twins both came over and climbed onto the chair. They were big now but in a moment like this neither of them cared. Adora’s strong arms wrapped around their family, a family that started twenty-one years before. One they would never give up for anything, Catra looked at Adora as they placed a kiss on their forehead as she held onto those she so loved.
