Chapter 1: Prologue
Summary:
During the fight against Scarlet Witch at Kamar-Taj, America Chavez accidently transports herself and Doctor Strange through the multiverse, before ending up on Earth-838. However, unknown to Chavez, her powers began spiraling out of control during their journey and ended up accidently bringing four individuals from other universes with Strange and Chavez.
Notes:
Ever since I've finished my "Two More Visitors" fic, I had planned to make another multiversal crossover story, this time featuring characters from the Marvel Legacy films. Originally, this was supposed to the premise for my "Fate of The Multiverse" I did last year, where various heroes from the non-MCU films arrive at Earth-838 and figure the truth behind their arrival before getting involved in a battle that would determine the fate of the Marvel multiverse. However, I decided to change it to include only Nicolas Cage's Ghost Rider and building up the idea from Aragorn II Elessar's "The devil on her shoulder" by having Mephisto orchestrating the events of WandaVision and No Way Home because I wasn't sure if the initial idea would actually work and that Ghost Rider and Mephisto were the only ones who added to the story. Now, I feel more confident in revisiting that idea again and try my best in making a good story from it.
The multiversal heroes that will be featured in this story will be Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man (aka Peter-2), Hugh Jackman's Wolverine, Ioan Gruffudd's Mr. Fantastic and Wesley Snipes' Blade. In my original premise for the fic, Nicolas Cage's Ghost Rider was added, but since I've already included in my "Fate of The Multiverse" fic, I decided to omit him from the story in order to avoid repetition.
Disclaimer: I do not own the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Spider-Man, X-Men, Fantastic Four and Blade. They belong to Marvel Studios, Sony Pictures, 20th Century Fox and New Line Cinema.

Wundagore Castle, Earth-616
Now
Having summoned The Spirits of The Damned to overwhelm Wanda Maximoff and prevent her from stealing America Chavez's powers in order to travel through the multiverse, Doctor Stephen Strange used his powers to lift her to his friend, Wong, who summoned a magical enchantment to trap her inside a magical barrier. As she found herself surrounded by the spirits, Wanda attempted to break free from the barrier, but one of the spirits managed to hold her off before she could destroy the barrier. However, Wong soon realized that he may not be able to hold off Wanda much longer as he saw her trying to escape from the barrier.
"She's breaking free!" Wong said as he saw Wanda trying to break out of the barrier while the Spirits attempted to stop her. "We don't have much time!"
Watching alongside Strange and Wong were four individuals from different universes; the first one was clad in a red and blue form-fitting suit with raised grey webbing, a black Spider emblem and triangular shaped eyes. The next individual was a tall muscular man with hazel eyes, slick brown hair with grey temples and beard, wearing a white t-shirt, a pair of blue jeans with a large belt buckle and brown shoes. The next two individuals were a middle-aged man with brown hair with grey temples, a thick beard and brown eyes wearing a blue form-fitting suit with black gloves and boots and a large 4 logo placed on the right side of his chest and a woman with blonde hair and blue eyes clad in a black leotard stamped with a golden lightning bolt and a red sash around hips with black domino mask, gloves and boots.
"Hold her!" Strange advised Wong.
"Strange, take America's power!" Wong told Strange, who turned around and looked at America Chavez, who was contained by Maximoff's powers. "There's no other way."
"Yeah," Strange remarked. "There is another way."
Strange turned around and utilized his magic to break Chavez from her restraints. Upon getting freed, Chavez was caught by a bald African-American man with a small goatee and tattoos around his body, wearing a black body vest, black leather pants, gloves, shoulder pads and boots and red tinted sunglasses. The man also had a sword placed around his back.
"You're safe now, kid," The man, Blade, said in his raspy voice.
Just as Strange and Blade saved Chavez, Maximoff utilized her magic to break free from the barrier, sending Wong staggering back and removing the spirits from her, before being getting getting approached by Spider-Man, who flew at her and attempted to use his webbing to neutralize her. However, Maximoff used her magic to deflect Spider-Man's webbing and shoot her energy blasts at him, who attempted to dodge her attacks, but his reflexes weren't a match for Maximoff's powers as she shot a blast that sent Spider-Man staggering to the ground. Wolverine popped out his claws and leaped at Maximoff, only for her to teleport away. Bewildered by Maximoff's disappearance, Wolverine then turned around and saw her standing near him, leaping at her again, but Maximoff used her powers to neutralize him and lift him up, causing Wolverine to grunt in pain as he felt her dark magic seething through his metal skeleton as she lifted him away to the floor.
Mr. Fantastic used his elastic body to charge at Maximoff, but she evaded his attack and shot her energy blast at him, striking him in the chest and sending him to the floor. Blade pulled out his sword and ran at Maximoff before getting struck by her magic blast and sent to the ground. Seeing her newfound friends getting attacked by Maximoff, Ms. Marvel shot her photon energy at her, which she used her dark magic to deflect Ms. Marvel's energy blast, causing for their powers to collide. Ms. Marvel struggled to maintain her energy beam against Maximoff's powers, as her dark magic reached through Ms. Marvel's photon energy until she was overwhelmed and Maximoff's dark energy struck through her chest, leaving her stunned on the ground.
Having dealt with the multiversal individuals, Maximoff turned around and saw Strange and Chavez, throwing her magical blast at Strange's left arm and preventing him from the having the chance to strike her. Maximoff began amplifying her powers and torturing Strange, who let out a painful scream as he saw his variant's arm getting disintegrated by her powers. As she watched Strange getting overwhelmed by Maximoff's powers, Chavez feared what would happen to her if Maximoff was successful in killing Strange and taking her powers away and began to wonder what could have led them to this moment as her thoughts wandered off to the moment Strange saved her from having her powers getting drained by Maximoff a few hours ago.
Kamar-Taj, Earth-616
Earlier That Day
Inside the secret chamber of Kamar-Taj, Chavez was left under the protection of Wong's father, Hamir, while Strange and Wong were outside fighting against Maximoff and preventing her from getting Chavez's powers to travel through the Multiverse and search for her kids as she was under the influence of a secret magical book called the Darkhold. As she waited for Strange and Wong, Chavez had began to fear for her life and hoped Strange and Wong would fend off against Maximoff temporarily until she was safe.
"Are you alright, my dear?" Hamir asked her.
"Yeah, I'm fine," Chavez trailed off. "But..."
"You still fear for your life," Hamir pointed out from Chavez's expression.
"Wait, how did you..." Chavez attempted to speak before Hamir continued.
"I never ignore a tortured soul when a see one," Hamir told Chavez. "Strange was one when he had first arrived in this temple. Had it not been for the Ancient One, Strange would still remain lost in his life."
However, Chavez and Hamir's conversation was quickly interrupted when Strange and Wong opened the door to the secret chamber, having just placed Maximoff to the Mirror Dimension.
"We gotta get you out of here. Now," Strange quickly told Chavez.
"Why?" Chavez asked. "What happened?"
"Kamar-Taj has fallen," Wong remarked.
Just as he was about to use his Sling Ring to summon a portal, Strange noticed a red aura surrounding the ring before the ring vanished in his eyes. Strange, Wong, Chavez and Hamir saw strong winds passing through the room and closing down the doors, leaving them trapped inside, before Strange, Wong and Chavez saw the guardian of the chamber and Hamir being drawn into the water pool before being pulled beneath the floor. Strange realized that Maximoff was using the reflections from the mirror dimension pull people into the dimension, elevating Chavez's fears.
"Reflections," Strange quickly thought. "She's using the reflections. Cover them!"
Strange, Wong and Chavez quickly took all of the cloths inside the chamber and placed them on the floor in order to prevent Maximoff from coming out of the reflections. As Chavez placed a cloth on the water pool, Chavez stopped in her tracks and saw a water pool in front of her. Upon looking further into the water reflection, Chavez was taken aback as Maximoff's eye appeared in the reflection, causing her wipe the water before turning around and seeing Maximoff's arm reaching through the golden gong as she ran away in fear. The cloths were enough to stop Maximoff from reaching the secret chamber as she pulled herself out of the mirror dimension though the reflection inside the golden gong and her dark magic had helped her body phase though the golden gong without any harm.
"You gave all those lives just to keep me from my children," Maximoff told Strange as she faced him, Wong and Chavez.
"You took those lives," Strange fired back. "You cannot be allowed to cross into the multiverse."
"I'm not a monster, Stephen," Maximoff remarked, justifying her actions. "I'm a mother."
"Wanda, you have no children," Strange reminded Maximoff. "They don't exist."
"Oh, but they do. In every other universe. I know they do. Because I dream of them, every... night," Maximoff said before using her powers to reveal the Darkhold and utilizing it to reveal projections of her life with her children across the multiverse. "Of my boys... Of our life together. Every night, the same dream. And every morning... the same..." Maximoff then closed down the Darkhold and faced Strange again. "...Nightmare."
"What if you reach them?" Strange asked Maximoff, causing her to question herself for a moment. "What happens to the other you? What happens to their mother?"
Just as Maximoff took a moment to think of the possible repercussions of her actions, Strange and Wong nodded at each other knowing that it was the right moment to attack. It was then that Strange used his magic to summon various magical snakes at her. Maximoff fended off the snakes by using her magical powers to cut off their heads before using them to push the snakes away from her and vaporize them. Maximoff then floated in the air and pushed Strange away, before creating restraints across Chavez and lifting her in the air. Wong attempted to stop her by summoning magical blasts, but Maximoff used her powers to throw the blasts back at Wong and knocking him out.
Maximoff then proceeded to use her telekinesis to absorb Chavez's powers, as she finally realized she was getting closer in fulfilling her wish to see her children again, while Strange watched Maximoff taking away Chavez's powers as he recovered from the fight. Suddenly, a blue star-shaped portal emerged as Chavez was helpless in fighting back against Maximoff. Seeing the opportunity to save Chavez, Strange quickly jumped his way at Chavez and grabbed her, though Maximoff shot an energy blast at his cape as Strange and Chavez rushed through the portal.
As a result of entering the portal, Strange and Chavez leaped through various realities across the multiverse. While jumping through realities, Chavez felt her powers were spiraling out of control as they passed through different universes, while Strange grabbed her and pulled into his arms as Chavez continued to lose control of her powers.
New York, Earth-838
A star-shaped portal emerged from a rooftop in Earth-838 New York City as Strange and Chavez landed on the the ground. Strange took some deep breaths as he looked around and noticed that Chavez was with him.
"You okay?" Strange asked as he panted.
"You saved me," Chavez told Strange.
"I hope so," Strange muttered.
Strange and Chavez stood up and took a look at their surroundings. Most of the buildings in this reality were covered in flowers and grass, from the rooftops to the windowsills, while the building were standing on was also surrounded by various flowers and had resembled a garden and the sky was filled with rainbows.
"Surprised you didn't puke," Chavez noted.
"It's not my first weird trip, kid," Strange informed Chavez before looking around the building they were on. "So, this is New York in the Multiver..."
Suddenly, Strange felt the effects of the interdimensional travel as he sensed his upper body beginning to convulse and ran towards the chimney nearby the building, vomiting on it, much to Chavez's disgust.
"Yep," Chavez said upon watching Strange puking. "There it is."
"Crap," Strange said as he recovered from puking, before seeing The Cloak of Levitation wiping out Strange's mouth. "Hey, cut it out." Strange then took off the Cloak and turned it around to examine it, seeing it received a hole from Maximoff's attack. "Yeah. You got pretty dinged up." Strange then put the Cloak back on him and walked around the building. "We'll get you fixed. All right, America. You've gotta open a portal to get us back there right now."
"I don't know how," Chavez nervously told Strange.
"You just did it," Strange insisted.
"Not on purpose," Chavez told Strange
"Wong is back there alone with Wanda and I'm the only hope he has," Strange said.
"I can't control my powers..." Chavez remarked.
"You must be able to control it somehow. Even I could..." Strange stopped as he saw Chavez shrink back, realizing he was reminding her of his variant, before continuing. "Sorry. Well, what about this universe's version of you? Maybe she can control her powers."
"This universe doesn't have a me," Chavez told Strange.
"What?" Strange asked, surprised to hear that she was the only person to not have an alternate counterpart.
"None of them do."
"But how do you know that?" Strange once again asked Chavez, insisted on learning the truth.
"Because I've looked," Chavez explained. "And... because I never dream."
Strange took some deep breaths before turning his head back to Chavez. "It's okay, kid. Even if you could get me back there, I have no way of fighting Wanda."
"What about the Book of Vishanti?" Chavez suggested.
"What about it?" Strange asked.
"Other you thought it could stop whoever was after me." Chavez told Strange, referring to what his alternate self told her about the Book of Vishanti.
"Yeah, well, good for other me," Strange sarcastically remarked. "He's not here, is he? I don't know where it is. So unless there's another other me..."
"We need to go find..." Chavez realized.
"Other "other me"."
Meanwhile, in another rooftop located in Times Square, Spider-Man stood up on his feet and took a look at his surroundings as he saw the building he was standing on was filled with flowers. He had traversed through the multiverse before, having fought against his old villains alongside his other two counterparts, but he had never seen a universe that had looked completely different from the one he was familiar with. Having taken a moment to adjust his surroundings, Spider-Man then stood up and took off his mask as he looked at Times Square being filled with various plants and flowers.
"Woah," Spider-Man exclaimed himself.
Around the same time, Logan found himself in another rooftop in Midtown Manhattan as he got up on his feet and looked at the sky, seeing the rainbow appearing in it. He had no idea how he ended up on this rooftop nor how he found himself in this strange reality he was in. He then looked down and saw most of the building filled with plants and grass, leaving him confused.
"What the hell..." Logan muttered to himself as he looked around his surroundings.
In the Lower East Side of Manhattan, Blade opened his eyes and got up on his feet as he investigated his surroundings, noticing that whatever reality he was currently in was much more colorful, with the sun setting on the city, rainbow appearing in the sky and the building being covered with various flowers. Blade was bewildered by the strange place he was in and couldn't make sense of it.
"Shit," Blade cursed himself as he further looked into his surroundings.
In another building in Manhattan, Reed Richards opened his eyes and lifted himself up on his feet before taking a look at his surroundings. Though he had no idea of how he ended up in this dimension, Reed couldn't believe what he was seeing, as the place he was in was very different compared to his own reality. He had previously theorized the idea of alternate realities and crossing through various dimensions in the past, but this was the first time he had ended up in such alternate reality, as the place he was in had buildings surrounded with flowers and grass and the sky was bright and colorful.
"Oh my god..." Reed said to himself, amazed by the alternate reality he was in.
Notes:
And that's the end of the first chapter. The reason why I decided to start the story in the "In Media Res" technique similar to "City of God", "Kill Bill" and "Mission: Impossible III" is because I wanted to build up the story of how these different individuals have met and how ended up meeting Doctor Strange before joining him the final battle against the Scarlet Witch at Wundagore Mountain. I was hesitant at first to use this technique, since it might confuse some readers, but I ultimately decided to use the technique to set up the multiversal individuals storylines and their time on Earth-838.
As for the characters, Spider-Man's story picks up from "No Way Home", while Wolverine's story continues from "X-Men: Days of Future Past", hence the grey temples on his hair. Mr. Fantastic's story takes place fifteen years after "Rise of the Silver Surfer" while Blade's takes place twenty years after "Blade: Trinity". Wolverine's civilian look with the leather jacket is from the original X-Men trilogy while Blade's look is modeled from the "X-Men: Curse of The Mutants" comic and the Blade anime from 2011. The Ms. Marvel character is played by Yvonne Strahovski and is a resident from Earth-838, though her story with the other individuals will be explained as the story progresses as well as the arrival of Spider-Man, Wolverine, Blade and Mr. Fantastic to Earth-838.
Let me know your thoughts on this story and I hope you liked it. Until then, stay safe and take care.
Chapter 2: Discovering The Reality
Summary:
After finding himself in this strange reality, Spider-Man decides to investigate his surroundings, but ends up getting caught by the civilians, who mistake him for being an impersonator, and comes face-to-face against the superpowered monster Griffin.
Notes:
Hey, what's up, fanfiction readers? Welcome to the next chapter of the story. Now that we've been introduced to the four main multiversal visitors, this chapter will see them explore Earth-838 and take notice of the weirdness within the universe when comparing it to their respective universes. It will also see the first interactions between some the characters, especially Blade and Wolverine, and flesh out Earth-838 from the perspective of these visitors, since the actual "Multiverse of Madness" didn't explore that universe enough despite being one of the film's main settings. I mean, you'd think for a film that explores alternate universes it would take time to flesh out Earth-838, but unfortunately that wasn't the case.
This chapter will focus on Spider-Man discovering this universe and take place at the same time as Strange and Chavez are discovering Earth-838 during "Multiverse of Madness", with the next few chapters focusing on Wolverine and Blade's encounter and Mr. Fantastic's traversing through Earth-838, respectively.
At the time of writing this chapter, "Deadpool and Wolverine" is out in theaters right now, but I intend to watch it next week and I will try to avoid spoilers as possible, but given the nature of the internet, it might be difficult to do so, and Robert Downey Jr. has been announced to Doctor Doom in "Avengers: Doomsday" and "Avengers: Secret Wars", like WTF?
I want to thank Aragorn II Elessar to helping me out a bit with the story and for Marcus S. Lazarus and Bl4ckHunter for some recommendations.

Chapter Text
New York, Earth-838
Determined to investigate the reality he was in further, Spider-Man swung across the buildings and looked down at the traffic. In spite of the similarities to his own reality, Spider-Man couldn't help but think of the strange differences he saw in this universe, such as the inclusion of bushes and flowers in the buildings and the giant rainbow in the sky. Little did Spider-Man know, however, he was being observed by the civilians while he was swinging around the buildings, as if they couldn't comprehend what they had just seen.
Spider-Man landed on the back of an empty taxi car and looked around the city, seeing the people passing through the traffic at the red light, which was different compared to his own universe, where the cars usually stopped at the green light, leaving Spider-Man confused as to how this universe functioned.
"What's up with the people crossing the streets at the red light?" Spider-Man questioned himself as he saw the people walking through the streets. "That's new."
Unknown to Spider-Man, however, he was being noticed by the civilians, with some of them using their phones to film him on the scene. The civilians couldn't fathom the fact that someone else was running around in a Spider-Man suit, believing him to be an impersonator who was disrespecting the legacy of their hero. Spider-Man turned around and saw the civilians recording his presence on the streets and got confused by the way he was getting noticed by the pedestrians. He recalled his younger counterpart having his identity exposed to the entire world during his previous venture in an alternate reality, but his situation in this reality was much different, as the civilians were looking at him as if they had seen a ghost. Spider-Man then heard the voices of the civilians speaking in front of him.
"Is this true? Could this be Spider-Man?"
"Hey, why are you running around in Spider-Man's suit?"
"How dare you disrespect his memory!"
"Oh my god!"
Spider-Man could recognize the different ways the civilians reacted to his appearance as he kept hearing their voices; some of them were confused in seeing him swinging around in the costume and questioned if he was the real Spider-Man while others believed he was disrespecting his memory by wearing the costume and running around in the city like it was nothing. He then looked around the streets and saw several pedestrians recording him with their phones, leaving him unable to comprehend the situation.
"How's it feel like disrespecting his legacy?" One of the civilians shouted at him.
"No, no, no, wait a second," Spider-Man attempted to explain to one of the civilians. "This must be some kind of misunderstanding."
"You better explain what are you doing in his costume!" A civilian yelled at Spider-Man.
"What?!" Spider-Man exclaimed. "You've got the wrong guy. I just got here a few minutes ago!"
"Oh, so now he doesn't remember what he had done!" One of the pedestrians sarcastically remarked, not believing him.
"Who the hell do you think you are running around in his suit?"
"You better start telling us the truth or else we'll call the police."
"Oh, no. What kind of place I ended up on?" Spider-Man thought to himself. "I have to find a way to hide my disguise."
Desperate to find a place where he could obtain clothes to hide his suit, Spider-Man leaped into the air and shot his webs, swinging away from the streets as the civilians kept observing him and maintaining their disbelief over this stranger wearing Spider-Man's suit.
"Did you see that? He swings just like him!"
"I can't believe this."
Having avoided getting noticed by the civilians, Spider-Man swung by a nearby apartment and placed his fingers on the wall, crawling his way to the upper side of the window, where he saw a clothesline rope stuck on both sides of the window. Spider-Man observed the clothesline rope and saw a bunch of clothes hung around the line, including a light brown jacket, grey hoodie and blue jeans. Seeing this as an opportunity to disguise himself, Spider-Man shot his webs at the clothes and pulled them away from the clothesline rope, before hearing a noise coming from outside the balcony and quickly hiding himself in one of the walls.
Sensing something uncanny outside, a middle-aged man rushed to the balcony and opened the door, looking around the window before noticing some of his clothes were missing from the clothesline.
"What the..." The middle-aged civilian uttered in confusion. "I just placed them there a few minutes ago! Whoever stole them is going to pay for this."
Having used the clothes he obtained from the clothesline to hide his Spider-Man suit, Peter walked around the streets of Lower Manhattan and attempted to blend in with the civilians, stopping with them at the green light as the cars passed by before the traffic lights turned red and the civilians walked through the streets. Peter still couldn't make sense of the possibility of passing the streets through the red light and remained confused by this. As he walked around the streets, Peter noticed the reality he was in was far more technologically advanced than his home reality, as he observed the civilians using holographic phones and the various buildings throughout the city being taller and filled with bushes, flowers and plants. Out of all the strange things he had encountered in this universe so far, Peter was left confused by the nature of the buildings he had seen and wondered if someone had planted a field park out of them.
While walking through the streets, Peter came across a newsstand across the streets, where he saw the civilians picking up newspapers. Given the technological nature of this reality, Peter was surprised to see that people were still grabbing newspapers and learn about the latest events. As he reached the newsstand, Peter heard some of the pedestrians talking to one another as they grabbed the newspaper.
"Did you just see what happened today?"
"Yeah. Someone was running around in a Spider-Man suit."
"There's no way it could be him."
Peter walked to the newsstand and grabbed the newspaper, taking a look at a photo of him swinging around the streets on the front page. As Peter took a closer look at the newspaper, he further inspected the content of the newspaper; on the front page of the newspaper was an article written by Ben Urich detailing the appearance of someone dressing up as Spider-Man and swinging around the city, with a photo of Spider-Man shooting his webs and swinging taken by one of the civilians and the words "Could the rumors be true? Is Spider-Man still alive?" written across the photo, and the publisher of the article was the Daily Bugle, who operated as a newspaper outlet in this universe. Peter could feel shock and dread wearing across his face as he looked at the photo and wondered what had happened that made the public react to his presence on the streets and think he was an imposter.
"Oh, no," Peter muttered to himself. "What the hell is going on here?"
Suddenly, Peter could feel his Spider-Sense ticking off as he sensed something terrible was about occur and his predicament was proven right when he saw a car being thrown at him, causing him to leap in the air and avoid getting hit by it. Upon landing in the air, Peter observed the streets and saw the civilians running away in horror and wondered what could have possibly made them run away. He then turned around and saw a large muscular man with huge brown eagle-like wings, large tail and claws across his hands and feet. His head had taken the shape of a feline beast, with large fangs on the top row of his teeth and long furry mane, and his appearance vaguely resembled the mythological creature from Greek mythology called the Griffin.
Upon seeing the beast flying around and throwing the cars, Peter widened his eyes in shock as it was the first time he had seen an actual monster. Though he had faced monstrous creatures such as the Symbiote and the Lizard, Peter had never actually encountered a huge monster, let alone a large human mutate. As the creature kept attacking the streets and the civilians running away, Peter saw two children playing around, not realizing the terror in front of them.
"Look out!" Peter screamed as he rushed at the two kids.
Upon hearing Peter's scream, the two kids turned around and saw the creature throwing a car at them, before Peter quickly grabbed them, dodged away before the car landed on the ground and placed them on the pavement.
"Hey, kids. Be careful on the streets next time," Peter advised.
Peter then ran away from the pavement while the children stared at him, overwhelmed by the fact that a stranger had saved them and advised them not to stay away from the streets. The beast, Griffin, continued to terrorize the streets, destroying every car he came across and throwing some of them at the pedestrians, intensifying their fear further as they kept running for their lives while Griffin let out a monstrous roar.
"Well, well, looks like Halloween season came earlier this year," Spider-Man quipped as Griffin turned around and saw him sticking his hands to the building. "But you've picked the wrong place to play dress up!"
Griffin growled as he charged at Spider-Man and punched the building he was in, though Spider-Man leaped away before the creature could attack him, causing him to destroy a portion of the building. Spider-Man then crawled up to him and began wrapping him up with his webs, trapping him.
"Easy there, buddy!" Spider-Man sarcastically remarked. "Be a good boy now."
Unfortunately, the webs weren't enough to neutralize Griffin as the beast freed himself from his restraints and rushed at Spider-Man, who dodged his attacks and attempted to counter back by shooting his webs at him, only for Griffin to remove them off his face and strike him in the face, sending him staggering to the ground. Griffin send grabbed one of the cars and threw it at Spider-Man, intending to kill him. However, as Spider-Man covered himself, he suddenly found himself being saved by a woman with blonde hair and blue eyes, wearing a superhero costume consisting of a black leotard stamped with a golden lightning bolt and a red sash around hips with black domino mask, stiletto gloves and long boots. The woman had grabbed the lower part of the car before it could hit and possibly kill Spider-Man, who lowered his hands and saw the woman holding the car with her super strength.
"Peter?" The woman, Ms. Marvel, uttered as she widened her eyes in shock upon seeing Spider-Man, believing him to be the Peter Parker from her universe, due to the fact he was running around in the Spider-Man suit.
Notes:
And that's the end of the chapter. In the comics, Griffin was a small-time criminal who was kidnapped by an organization called the Secret Empire, who had transformed Horton into a mutate based on the mythological creature Griffon, with his head based on a lion and his body had resembled an eagle's, as the organization had grafted him wings and claws onto his body permanently. Later, he was ordered by the Secret Empire to kill the X-Man Beast as a part of their campaign against the Brand Corporation, but was defeated by Beast and Angel.
In this universe, Eart-838, Ben Urich was not killed by the Kingpin and ended up working for the Daily Bugle as their editor-in-chef.
The fight between Spider-Man & Ms. Marvel and Griffin will be covered in the next chapter, which serves as a second part of Spider-Man/Peter's journey through Earth-838.
Let me know your thoughts on this story and I hope you liked it. Until then, stay safe and take care.
Chapter 3: Fighting Against The Griffin
Summary:
Upon running into Spider-Man, Ms. Marvel teams up with him to deal with Griffin, having struggled to defeat him on her own. Afterwards, the two are met by Mr. Fantastic, who brought Wolverine and Blade alongside him.
Notes:
Hey, what's up, fanfiction readers? Welcome to the next chapter of the story and thank you for everyone who have read, liked and followed the story so far. Originally, both the previous chapter and this one was going to be one chapter, focusing on Tobey's Spider-Man's journey to Earth-838, as well as his encounter with Earth-838's Carol Danvers and the fight against John Horton, aka Griffin, but I decided to split it into two parts since it was going to be a tad bit long. I also had pictured a scenario where Hugh Jackman's Wolverine, Ioan Gruffud's Reed Richards and Wesley Snipes' Blade joining the fight against Griffin and have them encounter Peter and Carol for the first time, but I decided to scrap the idea in favor of having Peter and Carol fight against Griffin with Wolverine, Reed and Blade meeting up with them shortly after.
By the way, I finally seen "Deadpool & Wolverine" last week and it was such a nostalgic-driven joyride that pays tribute to the pre-MCU era of Marvel movies, such as the Fox X-Men movies as well as the New Line Cinema Blade franchise, which I didn't really expect. Ryan Reynold and Hugh Jackman delivered on their performances and their banter was great as well as the main villain Cassandra Nova, who implemented well in the film. In case you haven't seen it, you really need to, because you will end up having the time of your life.
I want to thank both Aragorn II Elessar and Marcus S. Lazarus for their ideas for this chapter as well as helping out.

Chapter Text
New York, Earth-838
Before her encounter with Spider-Man, Ms. Marvel was flying around the sky using her binary energy and laughed as she floated in the air and allowed excitement running through her body. She hadn't experienced such feeling since her days as a pilot in the United States Air Force, where she had joined in order to pay her way through college and obtained the rank of "Major", due to her experience in flying various combat airplanes, including the Mach four flight jet, which she had considered to be her favorite and had codenamed it "Warbird". Though she no longer flew on airplanes now she had superpowers, she still felt the same surge of adrenaline within her body whenever she flew in the air and loved every moment of it.
As she continued flying around the sky, Ms. Marvel then heard a scream from a mile away and flew herself to the place where she had heard the scream. Making her way through Union Square Park, Ms. Marvel saw the civilians were running away in fear as a large feline monster was terrorizing the park, throwing cars at the pedestrians and causing wreckage around the park as he let out a monstrous roar. She had encountered that monster before and was aware of his true identity.
The Griffin was once a small-time criminal named John Horton, who had been kidnapped by HYDRA and conducted various experiments on him, transforming him into a huge monster that resembled the Greek mythological creature named Griffin, who was half lion and half eagle. He had several encounters with various superheroes, including the Avengers and the X-Men, and eventually ended up imprisoned in an underground prison made built for superpowered villains called the Raft, but eventually broke out of prison and began roaming freely around New York, causing mayhem wherever he went.
Ms. Marvel let out a small sigh, as she had faced Griffin in the past, and charged at him, striking him in the back and sending him staggering to the the ground. She then saw the truck that Griffin was holding was about to land on the site where children were playing dress up as their favorite superheroes. One of the children was dressed up as Iron Man, while his friend was dressed up as Thanos and a girl was dressed up as Captain Carter.
"Avengers Assemble!" The girl said in a mockup British accent while lifting up her shield.
The young Thanos cosplayer laughed before raising his arm, which a toy version of the Infinity Gauntlet was placed. "You cannot hope to stop me, for I will rebuild this universe!"
"Not if we can stop you first," The kid cosplaying as Iron Man said.
Just as they were reenacting the fight against Thanos, the children stopped to turn around and see the truck reaching the land they were on. They noticed that the truck driver was inside the vehicle and was screaming for his life.
"Look at that!" The Captain Carter cosplayer said as she saw the truck coming at their way.
"Watch out!" One of the kids yelled, rushing at his friend and pushing him away.
However, just as they thought they were about to get killed, the children heard the sound of the truck getting stopped in its tracks, as if it had stopped falling at them. They turned turned their heads around and saw Ms. Marvel holding the car with her super strength, preventing it from crashing on them and saving their lives.
"Hi, kids!" Ms. Marvel greeted the kids as she held the car with her strength.
"Oh, my god!" The Iron Man cosplayer exclaimed as he saw Ms. Marvel saving his life.
"It's Ms. Marvel!" The Captain Carter cosplayer said as she was in awe in seeing her in action for the first time.
Upon saving the kids, Ms. Marvel then safely placed the truck on the grass, allowing the truck driver to get out of the vehicle and take some deep breathes. For a moment, the driver had assumed he was going to meet a brutal fate as he was about to get crushed to death, before he was saved by Ms. Marvel, believing that he had been saved by an angel.
"Are you alright?" Ms. Marvel asked the truck driver.
"I... I..." The truck driver stuttered as he had no other words to express his gratitude before running to her and hugging her. "Thank the gods you've saved my life. I thought I was gonna die."
"Hey, hey, take it easy," Ms. Marvel trailed off as she felt the driver's embrace. "You just need to take a deep breath now, okay? And you need to..."
Griffin let out a monstrous roar as he kept wrecking havoc across the park, interrupting Ms. Marvel and causing her to turn around and see the monster trashing the streets. Ms. Marvel knew that taking down Griffin was not going to be an easy task.
"Listen," Ms. Marvel said as she pulled away the driver. "There's something I need to do, so you'll have to wait for a bit." Ms. Marvel then turned around and saw the kids, who were amazed to see her in person for the first time, as they had dreamt for meeting one of the Avengers. "Hey kids, you need to be more careful when playing on the streets. No one should get hurt." She then turned to the Iron Man cosplayer, whom she had witnessed saving his friend. "You saved your friend out there, buddy. You're a real hero."
"Thanks, Ms. Marvel," The Iron Man cosplayer thanked Ms. Marvel for her compliment.
"Now, if you excuse me," Ms. Marvel said as she turned around and looked at the driver. "I need you take those kids away from the park."
"Are you sure?" The truck driver pondered. "You could get yourself killed out there!"
"Trust me, eveything's..." Ms. Marvel assured the driver as she grabbed the truck with her strength and threw it at Griffin. "Under control!"
As he continued to terrorize the park, Griffin turned around and saw the truck thrown at him, before punching through it with his fist and tearing it apart. Horrified by the way Griffin was able to destroy his vehicle, the truck driver then turned around and saw the children standing in the park and observing the fight, pushing them away and guiding them to the exit.
"Come on, this way!" The truck driver told the children as they followed him outside the park.
As the driver guided the children away from the scene, Ms. Marvel hovered herself in the air and flew her way towards Griffin, cracking her knuckles as the monster laughed at her sight.
"Ms. Marvel," Griffin sneered as he saw her.
"Well, well. If it isn't my old friend, Griffin," Ms. Marvel quipped. "How many times do I have to deal you down again?"
Griffin laughed at Ms. Marvel's remarks. "Too bad your little friends aren't here to save you."
"It's just you and me, buddy," Ms. Marvel taunted Griffin. "Luckily, I don't need their help to deal with you this time around."
Ms. Marvel then flew herself at Griffin and used her photon blasts to neutralize him, causing him to growl in anger at her. Griffin used his wings to float himself in the air and charged himself at Ms. Marvel, with the two trading blows at one another. Ms. Marvel avoided many of his attacks and countered them by shooting her photon blasts at him, hitting him in the chest several times. As Ms. Marvel kept shooting her energy blasts, Griffin began avoiding her attacks by flying below them and dodging the blasts, before charging himself at her and trying to attack her, only for Ms. Marvel to launch an uppercut that struck him in the chin and sent him staggering to the ground. Ms. Marvel then landed on the ground and positioned herself in her fighting stance.
"Alright, kitty kat, I don't wanna hurt..." Ms. Marvel attempted to taunt Griffin, only for her get struck in the face as Griffin took advantage of her position and attack her, sending her flying around the park.
Taking the fight to the inside the park, Ms. Marvel then quickly recovered and rolled herself back onto the ground, positioning herself into her fighting stance as she saw Griffin charging at her. She avoided Griffin's attacks as the monster attempted to strike her down, before Griffin swung his left arm at her, to which Ms. Marvel was able to grab it before it landed on her. Both Ms. Marvel and Griffin struggled for supremacy, as Griffin further pushed his arm at her while Ms. Marvel kept using her strength to prevent from getting hit, but felt that she wasn't able to push back any longer.
"Just... a little bit... more!" Ms. Marvel said as she kept holding Griffin's arm through her strength.
Using her full might, Ms. Marvel pushed away Griffin's arm and charged herself at him, punching him a couple of times on the chin. Ms. Marvel attempted to land another punch at him, only for Griffin to take the opportunity to land a punch on her midsection, causing her to groan in pain, before striking her in the face, sending her flying on the ground and knocking her out. After taking out Ms. Marvel, Griffin used his wings to lift himself in the air and fly his way around the city to continue his rampage.
Minutes later, Ms. Marvel regained consciousness and struggled to open her eyes as the world around her was filled with a blurry vision as she took a moment to recover her dizziness caused by her loss against Griffin, before widening her eyes and seeing the chaos outside the park, with the some of the cars destroyed and the civilians running for their lives. Picking up on her surroundings, Ms. Marvel realized that Griffin continued wreck havoc around the streets following their fight.
"Where would he be at now? I have to stop him before he continues his havoc across the streets," Ms. Marvel thought to herself.
Getting up back on her feet, Ms. Marvel summoned her photon energy to hover herself in the air and flew herself at high speed, intending to head to where Griffin was located now.
Making her way through Lower Manhattan, Ms. Marvel arrived at the site where Griffin was wrecking havoc and saw the pedestrians running away in fear as Griffin was destroying every car he came across and throwing it at some of the civilians. Though the civilians were able to run away before they were hit by the cars Griffin kept throwing, Ms. Marvel was horrified to see the streets being filled with destruction as Griffin let out a monstrous roar that caused the pedestrians' fear of him escalating even further. Suddenly, a man wearing a Spider-Man suit was swinging around the streets and sticked his hands on one of the building's roofs, facing against Griffin. Seeing this Spider-Man lookalike made Ms. Marvel perturbed, as she couldn't believe what was unfolding in front of her eyes.
"Well, well, looks like Halloween season came earlier this year," Spider-Man quipped as Griffin turned around and saw him sticking his hands to the building. "But you've picked the wrong place to play dress up!"
"Could it be him? He has the same reflexes like he used to have," Ms. Marvel thought to herself as she was overwhelmed by her surprise in seeing Spider-Man. "That's impossible."
However, the webs weren't enough to neutralize Griffin as he freed himself from his restraints and rushed at Spider-Man, who dodged his attacks and used his web blasts to neutralize the monster, but Griffin removed them off his face and struck Spider-Man in the face, sending him lying to the ground, before grabbing one of the cars and throwing at him. Having seen him in action, Ms. Marvel flew her way to Spider-Man, who covered his arms around his face, and grabbed the car with her super strength before it could crush him. Remaining still on the ground, Spider-Man lowered his arms and saw Ms. Marvel holding the car and glancing at him in surprise, like she had seen a ghost from the past.
"Peter?" Ms. Marvel said as she widened her eyes in shock upon seeing Spider-Man, believing him to be the Peter Parker from her universe, due to the fact he was running around in ta Spider-Man suit.
Overwhelmed by her surprise in seeing this Spider-Man lookalike, Ms. Marvel placed the car on the ground and kept looking at Spider-Man, still unable to comprehend the existence of another person wearing the Spider-Man suit other than her Peter Parker, which caused Spider-Man to be confused by her reaction.
"Um, I think you got me confused with another person," Spider-Man explained to Ms. Marvel. "I'm not the Spider-Man you know."
"What do you mean you're not the Spider-Man I know?" Ms. Marvel trailed off. "And why are you wearing this suit?"
"I can explain this in a moment, but right now, we need to deal with this big monster terrorizing the city," Spider-Man told Ms. Marvel.
Ms. Marvel turned around and saw Griffin wrecking havoc across the streets and letting out a monstrous roar. "Right. Looks like I won't have to deal with Griffin by myself. You think you could neutralize him with you webs a bit?"
"You bet," Spider-Man assured Ms. Marvel.
"Alright," Ms. Marvel nodded. "Let's move!"
Ms. Marvel summoned her energy to hover herself in the air and flying herself at Griffin, with Spider-Man joining her by shooting out his webs and catching up with her to fight Griffin. Griffin turned around and saw both Spider-Man and Ms. Marvel charging at him, letting out a malicious smirk as he realized he could easily take out the both of them.
"Hey, big guy," Ms. Marvel called out as she flew at Griffin. "We still have an unfinished business to deal with!"
"Two against one? This will be fun!" Griffin declared before letting out a monstrous roar and charging at Spider-Man and Ms. Marvel.
Griffin flew his way at Spider-Man and Ms. Marvel and attempted to attack them, only for the two heroes to avoid his attacks as Spider-Man leaped away from his attacks and Ms. Marvel flew around the beast and shot her photon blasts at him, distracting him enough for Spider-Man to shoot his webs at him. Griffin removed the webs away from his face and charged at Spider-Man again, who evaded his attacks by leaping away from him.
"You missed!" Spider-Man quipped as he dodged Griffin's attacks, provoking the beast.
Spider-Man dodged and leaped into the air to kick Griffin in the face, causing him to back away in pain before getting struck by Ms. Marvel's photon blasts. Angered by the way the two heroes were attacking him, Griffin charged himself at them, striking Spider-Man in the face and causing him to get stumbled on the floor. Upon seeing Spider-Man getting sent to the ground, Ms. Marvel charged up her energy and shot a powerful photon beam that struck Griffin on the chest and pushed him away to the ground. Griffin quickly recovered and charged himself at Ms. Marvel, before getting kicked in the face by Spider-Man, who had recovered from his blow he received from the beast and swinged his way to him. Upon recovering from getting kicked in the face, Griffin let out a malicious laugh.
"Let's see if you can catch this, bug!" Griffin taunted before grabbing one of the cars on the road and throwing it at Spider-Man and Ms. Marvel.
"Watch out!" Spider-Man shouted at Ms. Marvel as he saw the car being thrown at them.
Spider-Man leaped in the air and used his webbing to create a larger spider web that caught the car before it could hit both of them. Having observed Spider-Man shooting out organic webs from his wrist to create a large web, Ms. Marvel was bewildered by this fact, as the Spider-Man she was familiar with didn't have that ability, as he had to rely on his webshooters to create these webs.
"How could he do that without his webshooters? Peter wasn't able to do so," Ms. Marvel wondered to herself as she noticed Spider-Man's organic webbing and realizing that her Spider-Man couldn't do what the Spider-Man fighting Griffin alongside her could do.
Griffin then grabbed another car and threw it at Spider-Man and Ms. Marvel again, causing Spider-Man to shoot another large web which caught the vehicle and saved them both.
"You take care of the monster while I try to catch the cars," Spider-Man told Ms. Marvel.
"Alright," Ms. Marvel nodded before hovering herself in the air and flying at Griffin.
Griffin then grabbed three more cars and threw it at Spider-Man, who used his webs to prevent the cars from landing on him.
"Hey, what's the matter, big guy?" Spider-Man sarcastically taunted Griffin. "Is that the best you had to offer? I've fought bad guys stronger than you."
Griffin growled at Spider-Man as he was irritated by his quips before getting hit by Ms. Marvel's photon blasts. Ms. Marvel flew her way through Griffin, who attempted to stop her attacks by flinging his arms at her, but to no avail as he was overwhelmed by Ms. Marvel's beams and attempted to deflect them by shielding his face with his arms.
"Now!" Ms. Marvel ordered Spider-Man as she kept firing at Griffin.
Spider-Man leaped into the air and swung his way to Ms. Marvel, before jumping at Griffin and crawling behind his back.
"Now hold still, buddy," Spider-Man sarcastically told Griffin. "This won't hurt a bit."
Griffin sneered at Spider-Man and flung his right arm to attack him, only for Spider-Man to dodge it and use his webbing to wrap Griffin around, starting from his chest and ending with his legs, covering him with his organic webbing and preventing him from moving. For the final touch, Spider-Man used his webs to shoot at Griffin's mouth, preventing him from talking. Ms. Marvel landed herself on the ground and approached Spider-Man.
"I couldn't do this without your help. Thanks," Ms. Marvel complimented Spider-Man.
"No problem," Spider-Man told Ms. Marvel as he took off his mask. "We sure make a really good team."
Widening her eyes, Ms. Marvel's face was worn with surprise and disbelief as she examined his facial structures; the Spider-Man standing in front of her had brown hair, similar to the one she had known, but he looked much older, nearing his mid forties, and had a small stubble on his face as well as blue eyes. From seeing his face, Ms. Marvel was now convinced that this was not the Peter Parker she was familiar with.
"Is something wrong?" Spider-Man asked as he showed concern towards her.
"Nothing. It's just..." Ms. Marvel remarked before taking a deep breath and glancing at Spider-Man again. "You're not really him."
"I think that's what I was trying to tell you," Spider-Man noted. "When I went through this place, everyone was looking at me as if they had seen someone cosplaying as Spider-Man and I had no idea what was going on. What happened?"
"Well," Ms. Marvel spoke up. "Spider-Man, the one I knew, had died fighting against the Green Goblin not too long ago."
"I'm sorry," Spider-Man apologized, finally understanding why were the civilians confused in seeing him running around the suit.
"For a moment, I thought you were him, but I was really wrong. Guess that explains the organic webbing you have," Ms. Marvel told Spider-Man.
Spider-Man looked at his wrist and let out an awkward laugh, recalling getting asked by one of his counterparts about his organic webs. "Oh, right."
"God, this is so crazy," Ms. Marvel said while laughing. "I just can't believe I just met a different Spider-Man."
"And I'm sure once we figure out the truth behind this situation, things won't get any crazier than this."
Upon hearing that strange voice coming from the streets, Ms. Marvel and Spider-Man turned around and saw Reed approaching the two, accompanied by Blade and Logan, who stood alongside him. As she was approached by the trio, Ms. Marvel glanced at Reed and noticed how different this Reed Richards was compared to the one she familiar with, though he did have similar facial hair like her native Reed.
"Looks like we've missed the party," Logan said in a snarky tone as he looked around the streets and saw Griffin neutralized.
"I've seen a lot of crazy stuff back in my days, but this..." Blade said before letting out a small laugh. "This is a new level of insane."
"Reed?" Ms. Marvel asked as she was shocked to see Reed, confusing him for her native Reed.
"Yes," Reed told Ms. Marvel. "But probably not the one you're expecting."
Notes:
And that's the end of the chapter. The scene where she saves a bunch of children in the park and lifts a truck with her super strength is taken from Marcus Reed's "Ms. Marvel" Issue 1, where she saves children cosplaying as superheroes getting crushed by the truck during her battle against Stilt-Man. The children cosplaying as the Avengers and Thanos was a reenactment of the fight before the Illuminati interfered by using the Book of Vishanti and killing Thanos on Titan before using the Infinity Stones to wipe out half of the universe, as explained in the actual film.
In the comics, John Horton was turned into the Griffin after getting captured and experimented on by the Secret Empire. Here, it was HYDRA who did the deed instead, since the Secret Empire had never appeared in the MCU. The fight between Griffin and Ms. Marvel is taken inspiration from "Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes" episode "Who Do You Trust?", which also sees her fighting against Griffin.
At the end of the chapter, Ms. Marvel and Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man finally meet Ioan Gruffud's Mr. Fantastic, accompanied by Hugh Jackman's Wolverine and Wesley Snipes' Blade. The next chapter will deal with Wolverine and Blade's first encounter before they were recruited by Mr. Fantastic, with another chapter focusing on Mr. Fantastic's venture on Earth-838 which will lead to his encounter with Wolverine and Blade before meeting up with Ms. Marvel and Spider-Man in this chapter.

Chapter 4: The Daywalker and The Wolverine
Summary:
As they traverse through Earth-838, Logan and Blade notice some subtle differences in this reality compared to their own. Encountering each other at a bar, the two of them engage in a brief fight before being stopped by Reed Richards, who offers his own theory behind their arrival and warns them about the destruction of their realities.
Notes:
Hey, what's up, fanfiction readers? Welcome to the next chapter of the story and thank you for everyone who have read, liked and followed the story so far. Now that we got Spider-Man discovering Earth-838 and meeting with that universe's Carol Danvers, which was told in the previous two chapters, out of the way, it's time for Wolverine and Blade's first encounter. I'm just gonna say, seeing Wesley Snipes returning as Blade was mind-blowing, as many fans, myself included, assumed that he would never return to the role after on-set problems during the filming of Blade: Trinity. Also, congratulations on Wesley for surpassing Hugh Jackman as the actor with the longest career as a live action Marvel character.
Just before we start, I want to pay respects to James Earl Jones, who had passed away on September 9th. His role as Darth Vader in the Star Wars franchise had shaped the lives of many people who had grown up with Star Wars and he had given us one of the most memorable villains in cinematic history, as Jones' delivery had given the character charisma and vulnerability as well as making him a menacing figure. RIP James, may the force be with you.
Disclaimer: I do not own the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Spider-Man, X-Men, Fantastic Four and Blade. They belong to Marvel Studios, Sony Pictures, 20th Century Fox and New Line Cinema.

Chapter Text
New York, Earth-838
Moments Earlier...
Having left the building he found himself in upon ending up in this reality, Wolverine walked around the streets of Midtown Manhattan, but found himself lost around the huge crowd of pedestrians going out-and-about in the busy streets and attempted to fit in with the rest of the civilians by passing through the traffic. As he walked through the traffic, Logan noticed something uncanny within this place; the civilians had walked through the traffic at red light, which left Logan baffled. While passing through the traffic, Logan moved his head around and looked through his surroundings, noticing the various buildings being consumed by plants, flowers and bushes, similar to the ones he saw in his point of arrival.
Logan then sniffed the city's air and as it passed through his respiratory system, he quickly figured out that while it was similar to his reality, the place he was in radiated a different atmosphere due to the air having a much more cleaner scent than in his own. Logan recalled his conversation about his actions in 1973 with Professor Xavier, where the Professor had explained to him the difference between the original timeline and the one created through his interference and had given his own theory surrounding the Multiverse, where various branches in the timeline created an infinite of realities. As he recalled the conversation, Logan quickly suspected he was in another reality, which explained the distinct structures of the buildings, the appearance of the rainbow in the sky and the clean air, though he still had no idea how he ended up in it.
Logan continued to walk though the streets and made his way through West side of Midtown, stopping his way upon seeing a small bar located among the buildings with the logo "Jimmy's Corner" placed on the top of the building. Figuring he needed a drink amidst his journey through this reality, Logan walked through the door and entered the bar. Upon entering, Logan walked towards the table and took a seat on one of the chairs placed there. The attendants at he bar were suspiciously glaring at Logan as he was walking through the bar, wondering if he was going to cause problems around, though that didn't matter to Logan as he was focused on figuring out the place and made his best not to cause any problems.
Upon sitting on the table, Logan turned around and saw the news playing on the television, broadcasting a report about the civilians seeing a stranger wearing a Spider-Man costume swinging around the streets. Though he was already confused about the strange atmosphere radiated in the place, Logan was bewildered in hearing about a superhero named Spider-Man, since he had never heard about other superheroes running around in his reality.
"A man had been sighted on the streets of New York wearing a suit similar to Spider-Man today. As you may remember, Spider-Man had been tragically killed while fighting against the Green Goblin three months ago. The citizens had seen the man running around the streets and believed he was tarnishing the memory of their beloved hero by wearing his suit, although they are still confused about his identity, unsure whether it was an imposter or possibly the real deal. The police have now issued a search warrant for that mysterious man in the Spider-Man suit, as his current whereabouts remain unknown at the moment."
Around the same time, Blade attempted to keep himself undetected by jumping from rooftop to rooftop, as he didn't want to risk getting himself exposed in front of the civilians in this unfamiliar place. As the Daywalker kept leaping through the rooftops, he couldn't make sense of the unusual atmosphere of this place, as he hasn't been accustomed in seeing the bright sun or the appearance of plants of trees on the buildings, causing him to question if he was jumping through buildings or gardens.
As he reached for the last rooftop, Blade heard a scream erupting from the street. From what he was able to detect, Blade could tell that someone was in danger; he had sensed people being danger before, due to them getting attacked by vampires, causing the Daywalker to neutralize these threats and save their lives, though he never considered himself to be a hero. However, Blade was still curious to figure out what had caused the person to be in danger and leaped over the rooftops to investigate the threat.
In Freeman's Alley, a woman was running away for her life as she was being chased down the alley by three hoodlums. As she reached the end of the alley, the woman found herself cornered by the thugs, who were using knives as their weapons, and held onto her purse, which caught the interest of these criminals.
"Please, I'm begging you," The woman pleaded.
"Shut it!" One of the thugs told the woman. "Just give us the damn purse and you won't get hurt!"
Another thug laughed at her. "There no where to run, sweetie!"
The thugs began approaching the woman, who kept tightening her purse to prevent from getting stolen, but the thug member saw the purse and took the opportunity to grab it, causing the woman to struggle to push the purse against the robber. Unfortunately for the woman, the thug managed to overcome the woman's struggle and snatch the purse from her arms.
"Give it back!" The woman yelled, insisting to bring back her stolen purse.
"Ssssh!" One of the thugs hissed as he raised his knife at her and grabbed her by the shirt, shutting her up.
The thugs laughed as they turned around and walked their way out of the alley, leaving the woman alone. However, just as they were about to leave, the three thugs stopped in their tracks when they saw Blade landing on the ground and turning his head to glance at the thugs, causing them to stand and stare at him disbelief, as they had never seen someone dressed in black before.
"Where did this guy come from?" One of the thugs asked as he looked at Blade.
"Have we seen this guy before?" Another thug asked.
"Hey, buddy," The third thug taunted Blade as the Daywalker kept staring at him. "You think this is gonna scare us?" The thug pulled out his knife and raised it at Blade. "Do yourself a favor and go back where you came from or we'll hurt you real bad."
Threatening the Daywalker with a knife was a huge mistake for the thug, as Blade grabbed his arm and twisted it, causing the knife to drop on the floor, and the Daywalker made a work of him by throwing punches at him, striking him several times in the chest, before capping it by grabbing the thugs with his arms and snapping his neck, killing him. The other two thugs rushed at the Daywalker to attack him while Blade threw the thug's body on the ground, drew out his sword and growled at the other thugs, revealing a pair of fangs protruding from his teeth.
As the other two thugs ran at him, Blade leaped over them and struck one of them on the back before turning around and eluding from the other thugs' attacks. After evading from getting attack by the thug, Blade deflected the knife from the thug and slashed his chest with his sword, mortally wounding him, before Blade kicked him in the face and caused him to fall dead on the floor. The other thug got back on his feet and saw the corpses of his fellow thugs, building up his rage as he glanced at Blade. The thug then ran at Blade and attempted to throw a punch at him, but the Daywalker was able to dodge it and counter it with a kick to the face. Blade and the thug then traded punches at each other, with neither of them hitting each other, before Blade landed a roundhouse kick on the criminal's face, allowing the Daywalker to rush at him with a barrage of punches before finishing it off with a fatal punch to the throat that instantly killed the thug.
After dealing with the thugs, Blade turned around and saw the woman staring at him, frightened in seeing him dealing with her attackers and believing that he was about to finish her off. Blade lowered his head and saw the small purse on the floor, realizing that the thugs he dealt with were after it, before grabbing it and throwing it at her.
"Here's your purse," Blade told the woman. "I'd leave the scene if I were you."
After grabbing the purse, the woman got up and started running away from the alley, while Blade stood still and looked around the alley, examining the place and sensing that something might have felt off. As he looked around the corpses of the thugs, Blade observed that their remains didn't reanimate nor did they regenerate from their injuries, quickly realizing that the people he had killed were normal humans and noticing an unusual absence of vampires in this world.
"How come there aren't any vampires in this place?" Blade pondered as he glanced at the dead bodies. "There's a whole lot of things I'm still confused about."
After overlooking the corpses, Blade leapt from across the walls and reached one of the rooftops, preceding to jump through the rooftops as he sought to learn the truth behind the world he was in and the lack of vampires in it. Eventually, Blade was able to reach Midtown Manhattan though leaping through a rooftop and stopped in his tracks when he glanced at a small bar placed around the buildings with the logo "Jimmy's Corner", sensing something possibly uncanny inside the place.
"Hey," The bartender called Logan, whose eyes were still focused on the news playing on the television. "Can I help with anything?"
"Just give me some beer," Logan told the bartender.
Hearing Logan's demands, the bartender then went to the beer pouring machine and placed a small cup inside it, allowing the machine to fill up the cup with the beverage. After the machine finished with pouring the cup, the bartender then grabbed it and placed it on the table nearby Logan.
"Here you go, son," The bartender said as he placed the beer cup near Logan.
"Thanks," Logan told the bartender before taking a quick sip of the beer and letting out a small sigh of relief.
"Let me guess, trying to find a way back home?" The bartender asked Logan as he noted his persistence in finding out the truth behind his arrival in this reality.
"Something like that," Logan nodded.
Suddenly, the door busted open, erupting a huge sound that caught the attention everyone inside, including Logan, who turned his head around and saw a mysterious figure clad in a black leather coat and matching attire and sunglasses with his sword on the back; Having sensed Logan inside the bar, believing to be some sort of a vampire, Blade had planned in confronting him inside and questioning him, as he thought by facing him, he would be one step in finding out the truth behind his arrival.
"Who the hell are you?" Logan questioned Blade, as he noticed the Daywalker staring at him.
Though Blade kept facing Logan from afar, he could hear the thoughts of the people inside the bar as they saw him standing in the bar.
"Who the hell is this guy?"
"What's he doing here?"
"First a man dressed up as Spider-Man, now this?"
"Listen, if there's a problem you need to deal with my costumer," The bartender informed Blade. "I suggest you two take it outside."
However, the bartender's warning fell on deaf ears as Blade pulled out his sword from his coat and growled, causing the people at the bar, including the bartender, to get up from their seats and run away in panic, as they were frightened upon seeing Blade's fangs coming out of his teeth and didn't want to get themselves in danger around him. The bar was now empty, with silence lingering throughout the place, with only Blade and Logan remaining in the bar.
"Listen, pal," Logan smugly warned Blade. "I'm not the person you're looking for."
"Then how come I was able to sense your presence here?" Blade asked Logan.
"What?" Logan uttered in confusion.
"When I ended up in this place, I noticed there weren't any vampires here, until I sensed you," Blade told Logan before pointing his sword at him. "You don't smell human."
"I could say same thing about about you, bub," Logan remarked. "How did you know I was here? You're not some kind of a mutant, aren't you?"
"What?" Blade inquired, confused about Logan's question.
"A mutant," Logan told Blade. "You've never heard of them before?"
Blade let out a sarcastic chuckle. "I've only faced vampires where I've come from. My senses could help me detect whenever something unusual was around, just like you."
"Hey, bub, listen to me..." Logan attempted to reason with Blade.
Blade rushed at Logan and tightened his sword, before leaping at him and drawing his sword at him, but Logan was able to evade from getting hit by dodging his way out, leading to Blade to destroy the chair he was sitting on.
"If that's how you wanna play it, bub, fine!" Logan told Blade as he pulled out his claws from his knuckles and taunted the Daywalker. "Come on!"
Blade blew out a whistle as he saw Logan's claws. "Nice knives. Let's see if they stand a chance."
Logan and Blade then charged at each other, attempting to attack one another. Logan started by moving his claws at him, but the Daywalker was able to avoid from getting hit and proceeded to move his sword at the mutant, who was also able to avoid from getting hit. Logan continued avoiding Blade's attack, until the Daywalker used his sword to slash him in the cheek, but Logan quickly regenerated, leaving Blade shocked as to how he was able to regenerate from the attacks, since the thugs he faced a few minutes ago couldn't do the same. Growling at the vampire, Logan rushed at Blade, moving his claws around at him again, though he avoided from hitting him due to the Daywalker's speed.
Taking advantage of Logan's position, Blade distracted Logan by striking him in the chest with roundhouse kick, sending him landing to the table and crushing it. As he struggled to get back up, Logan saw Blade leaping at him with his sword and dodged away, preventing him from getting hit. Upon avoiding from getting hit, Logan pulled out his claws and rushed at Blade again, attempting to strike him down with his claws, while Blade did the same with his sword, managing to slash him in the chest and tearing his shirt, though Logan quickly healed from the injury.
Roaring at Blade, Logan ran at Blade and attempted to attack him with his claws, only for the Daywalker to dodge away and try to strike him with his sword, but Logan managed to block it using his claws and the two of them struggled to maintain superiority, as Blade pushed his sword closer to Logan, to which the mutant responded by pushing him off. Staring at each other, Logan and Blade rushed at each other again, only to be stopped by Reed, who pushed them away.
"That's enough!" Reed ordered Logan and Blade. "This is not the time nor the place to fight!"
"Just who do you think you are?" Blade protested.
"My name is Dr. Reed Richards," Reed told Blade. "And I need you two to come with me."
"And why would we trust you?" Logan persisted.
"Because I'm the only person who knows why are we here," Reed told Logan. "We all ended up in this reality because we've traveled across the Multiverse."
"The Multiverse?" Blade confusingly asked, having never been familiar with such concept.
"So, Charles was right," Logan muttered, confirming his suspicion of being in another universe as well as Xavier's theory about the Multiverse.
"That's why you two need to come with me," Reed advised Logan and Blade. "Because if we remain here for a long period of time, our realities might be in the verge of destruction."
Notes:
And that's the end of the chapter. As for Logan learning about the theory of the Multiverse, in between Days of Future Past and this fic, Logan and Xavier had a conversation surrounding his actions in 1973, in which Logan had his consciousness displaced to his 1973 self and changed the course of history by preventing Mystique from assassinating Trask, which led to the creation of the new timeline, and Xavier had also told him about the Multiverse theory, which involved the creation of various branches of the timeline and causing multiple outcomes within that reality, which partially explains the differences between the two Deadpools both X-Men timelines. Logan's arrival in Earth-838 as well as his encounter with Blade and Reed somewhat confirm Xavier's theory.
Logan being confused when hearing about Spider-Man could reference the fact that there were no other superheroes aside from the X-Men that existed in Fox's X-Men Cinematic Universe, so I wanted to play with that idea, by having Logan's reality not include other heroes like Hulk and Spider-Man, which is kinda of a reference of the X-Men franchise being owned by Fox at the time, preventing characters from that franchise from crossing over with Tobey Magiure's Spider-Man, while Blade not being familiar with mutants is reference of Blade's reality not having other heroes besides him. As seen at the end of the previous chapter, Reed's encounter with Logan and Blade directly leads to the scene where the three of them meet Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man and Yvonne Strahovski's Ms. Marvel and the next chapter will focus on Reed's discovery of Earth-838.
Let me know your thoughts on this story and I hope you liked it. Until then, stay safe and take care.
Chapter 5: Locating the Strangers
Summary:
Shortly after finding himself in Earth-838, Reed Richards begins his search for his native counterpart and heads to the universe's Baxter Building, determined to find out the truth behind his arrival. There, he meets this universe's native Susan Storm and learns that other visitors have crossed into this reality with him, setting him on a journey to locate those visitors and find a way to bring them back to their home universes to prevent the incursions.
Notes:
Hey, what's up, fanfiction readers? Welcome to the next chapter of the story and thank you for everyone who have read, liked and followed the story so far. Now, with the introduction of Ioan Gruffudd's Reed Richards, the pieces are finally starting to come together.
I know I'm a month late, but the trailer for The Fantastic Four: First Steps looks amazing. When I first heard that Marvel Studios was making a new take on the Fantastic Four, I was skeptical given the history behind the team's previous live-action outings. I'll admit it, I like the 2000s films a lot, but the 2015 reboot was dreadful. The trailer showed a lot of promise and I hope they get this one right. The only issues I had was Pedro Pascal, who is an odd choice for Reed Richards, and the Thing, who while he looks like his comic counterpart, his voice was awful, sounding like Ebon Moss-Bacharah in a suit, and the CGI feels pretty off.
But before I continue with the chapter, I want to pay tribute to legendary filmmaker David Lynch, who passed away on January 16th, just four days before his birthday, as well as Michelle Trachtenberg, Gene Hackman and his wife Betsy Arakawa and their dog, who died around the same day. May they rest in peace.
Once again, I want to thank both Aragorn II Elessar Marcus S. Lazarus for their recommendations for this chapter. The chapter also introduce the Earth-838 version of Susan Storm, who is played by Jennifer Morrison from Once Upon A Time.

Few minutes ago
Prior to his encounter with Logan and Blade, Reed was walking through the streets of Manhattan to try to blend in with the civilians. As he looked around the streets, Reed saw how advanced the technology was compared to his own reality, seeing the civilians using holographic phones on their wrists to contact anyone in addition to normal cell phones. Among the differences he had seen so far in this reality was the buildings being decorated with numerous plants and flowers, which left him perturbed.
Reed's mind lingered on the last moments before arriving on this reality; He had planned on celebrating his wedding anniversary with his wife, Susan Storm, alongside his close friends and children and hadn't expected such incidence to occur on this day. He could only picture how would Susan react if she had learned that he had mysteriously vanished on their anniversary. Reed had previously promised to her that he would cherish each moment with her after seeing her sacrificing her life to stop their old enemy, Doctor Doom, and now that he was in this reality, he felt like he wasn't living up to that promise.
However, Reed's mind was quickly snapped back to reality when he saw a car passing nearby and backed down to avoid from getting hit, cutting him off his thoughts, before looking at the traffic lights and realizing it was stopping at green, making him confused as to how the pedestrians were stopping at green when he was accustomed in seeing them pass at green in his home universe. Reed then overheard a conversation between a middle-aged man and a young woman on the other side of the traffic.
"They go on red?" The middle-aged man, Strange, said, confused about the traffic light.
"Rule number one of multiversal travel..." The young girl, Chavez, advised him. "You don't know anything."
Though Reed was observing Strange and Chavez's conversation, he then noticed the traffic light turning red and immediately passed through the traffic alongside the civilians.
"So, what's rule number..." Strange tried to speak with Chavez before Reed accidentally bumped into him while crossing the traffic. "Hey, watch it, pal!"
"Sorry," Reed apologized to Strange before turning his head around and continuing to walk through the streets.
While strolling through the city, Reed found himself lost in this unfamiliar world as he looked for a way to search for answers, until he stumbled upon a large thirty-five story white and blue building with a white four logo placed on top of it being located among the various buildings in the city. Reed was perplexed upon seeing this large building, being unable to recognize it due to its different structure at first glance, before suspecting that this was this reality's version of the Baxter Building, the place which had operated as the headquarters for his team. Believing he could find the answers, Reed entered the building.
Once he entered the building, Reed looked around the around the lobby, immediately noticing the difference between the Baxter Building from his reality and the one he was in right now, as he saw several things that he wasn't familiar with, such as the automatic sliding door and a black billboard with a white molecule logo and the words "Welcome to the Baxter Building" engraved around it. In addition to the different decor design, Reed also noticed the same logo that was present on the billboard placed on the ground. While slowly walking through the building and seeing various people passing by, Reed saw a young man standing at the reception desk and walked towards it.
"Good evening, sir," The receptionist greeted Reed. "May I help you?"
"I'm looking for someone," Reed lied to the receptionist. "He told me I'd meet him in this building."
"Then, I assume you're here to meet up with Mr. Richards," The receptionist figured out.
"Yes," Reed told the receptionist.
"Ok, I'll just check if your name is on the list. Let's see," The receptionist informed Reed as he took the appointment list and began to check if his name was included, while Reed saw the elevator door open, giving him the perfect the opportunity to quickly stretch himself away and reach the elevator without anyone noticing, before the receptionist raised his head again to tell Reed if his name was added. "Sir, I don't think your name's..." However, just as he was to tell him if he was added to the appointment list, the receptionist was surprised to see Reed not being present. "What the hell?"
Taking the elevator to the 33rd floor, where the laboratory was located, Reed stepped out of the elevator and saw the door was left open, allowing him to enter the laboratory. Recalling Chavez's conversation with Strange while passing through the traffic just a few moments ago, in which she mentioned multiversal travel, Reed couldn't help but wonder if there were other people who had also ended up on this strange reality alongside him and fear for the possible disastrous outcomes that came with their presence in this world, which was why he needed to head to the laboratory, as he believed he could find the answers he needed.
"Hello?" Reed called out, hoping someone might have heard him.
Just as he walked through the lab, Reed noticed a large circular device placed nearby the lab and recognized it as the Bridge, a time machine designed to oversee alternate universes as well as travelling into other universes, and a part of him couldn't help but be awestruck at glancing the machine, allowing his sense of wonder and astonishment overwhelm him. However, it wasn't just the Bridge that got his attention, Reed was also impressed by the futuristic design of the laboratory and how big it was when compared to his own laboratory. As he observed the lab, Reed stumbled upon a small work desk, which had various stuff placed on it, such as a small notebook, a laptop and research notes, before seeing a photo stand which housed a photo of a couple embracing each other and dressed in their wedding outfits, which instantly made Reed remember his marriage to Susan and became consumed by remorse over missing out his wedding anniversary by ending up in this reality.
Realizing what he needed to do, Reed placed the photo stand back on the table and used his elastic powers to reach himself to the Machine shop, where he grabbed a scrap box as well as a pair of screwdrivers and a needle nose pilers, before stretching his limbs back and putting the box on the ground. Acting on his suspicions, Reed figured he could make a small device that could track down the trespassers via their frequency and took off his coat and scarf and headed to the dresser when he grabbed a lab coat on the closet, before grabbing some stuff from the scrap box and began working on creating the device.
However, just as he was working on the device, Reed slowly heard small footsteps coming from outside to lab and put down his tools to the table, before turning around to see a blond young woman projecting two energy fields from her arms and preparing to fight him, believing him to be an intruder.
"Easy," Reed was taken a back upon seeing the woman and took some deep breaths
"You better start explaining right now before I kick your ass," The woman told Reed.
"Listen," Reed pleaded the woman. "I'm a friend. I'm not here to fight you."
"Then what are you doing here?" The woman demanded.
"I came here to look for your husband," Reed explained. "He's the only one who can help me figure out the truth. I know how insane that sounds, but I just need you to trust me."
The woman took a moment to let Reed's words sink into her mind and was unsure whether she'd trust him or not, even though he didn't seem to have come with hostile intentions, before lowering her energy fields and looking at Reed.
"You're..." The woman, Susan, said as she quickly figured out that he was an alternate version of her husband.
"Yes," Reed assured Susan. "I'm Reed Richards too. Your husband has told me about you."
When she saw Reed wearing her husband's coat, her thoughts drifted to her husband and she began to picture him in front of her as let out a soft laugh. She couldn't comprehend the fact that there was another Reed Richards besides the one she knew and Reed was able to tell from her expressions that she was longing for his presence.
"What?" Reed asked Susan's variant.
"Nothing," Susan remarked. "It's just a bit uncanny seeing a different Reed wearing it."
"Right," Reed nodded.
Reed then went back to the table and grabbed the device to work on it, while Susan sat besides him and observed him working. She still had a lot of burning questions on her mind, such as Reed's acquaintance with her husband and his relationship with his Susan Storm.
"How long the two of you have known each other?" Susan asked her husband's variant, interested to learn about their friendship.
"Let's just say, we've maintained close contact for a while," Reed explained. "I've first met your husband, my other self, when he visited my universe a few years ago. He told me that he was uniting various Reed Richards from across the Multiverse to use our intellect to solve interdimensional problems."
"He recruited you?" Susan asked Reed, her curiosity increasing further as she learned her husband had been recruits his variants to solve problems from across the Multiverse.
"Yes," Reed replied as he continued working on the device. "Through him, I had learned that the Multiverse existed and the incursions were a real threat, and even though we didn't agree on our stance of leaving our families behind, we all fought for the same cause."
"And you're still in contact with your other selves?" Susan wondered.
"More or less," Reed told Susan while stretching his arm to grab the the needle nose pliers and worked on the electrical wires.
"Reed had never told me about this. I knew he had always been busy with his work at the Baxter Foundation and the Illuminati, but I had no idea he formed a group with his alternate selves," Susan admitted.
"I'm sorry, who?" Reed inquired, confused upon hearing Susan's variant mentioning the Illuminati.
"Well," Susan cleared her throat before continuing on. "Reed is a member of the Illuminati, which he said was formed to make the decisions no else could to protect the world from various threats, but I've always had wished that he would have given his time to me and the kids as much as he does with the group."
Reed listened to Susan while finishing his work on the device, pointing out the similarity between the Susan from his reality and the one he was talking to now. He empathized with her desire to be with her husband and related that to his own efforts to prioritize his own family over his work, though he was aware that it wasn't that easy balancing superhero and family life.
"If I'm being honest, I've always found my other self to be a very complicated man. Both of us have reached for the stars and would have done anything to achieve our goals, but I would never allow myself discard my own family over my work. I made that promise to Sue," Reed insinuated.
Susan raised and eyebrow and awkwardly glanced at him, being confused for a moment when Reed mentioned her name.
"My Sue, I mean." Reed corrected himself before letting out a nervous laugh. "It does get a bit confusing, doesn't it?"
"Yeah," Susan stated as she laughed.
Reed then remembered the events that not only had impacted his life, but also that of his friends. Even if he was still accustomed to being a scientist and well-known superhero, a part of him had still yearned to have a normal life with his Susan and his family.
"The more I get older, the more I realize that things couldn't be any further than normal," Reed opened up. "It feels like a lifetime ago when my friends and I gained our powers from that cosmic cloud because I made a mistake in putting my faith into the wrong person and I allowed my own ego to take advantage of me because I was determined to do anything to fulfill my dream."
As she paid attention to Reed's confession, Susan was able to tell that her husband's variant still held remorse for the accident that granted him and his friends powers and empathized with him.
"Not a day goes by without ever thinking what our lives could have been had we not went there," Reed continued. "Because of that guilt, I tried to recreate the cosmic cloud as way to cure us of our afflictions, but looking back now, I realized maybe this was a sign that fate had given us powers for a greater purpose. That we could use our powers for the good of mankind. Though we can't live out normal lives like the rest of the world, we made sure to stick together, as a family."
Susan grabbed her husband's variant's hand and comforted him. "You've done a great job maintaining your family together and what happened back that day wasn't your fault."
"I know," Reed nodded.
After finishing his conversation with Susan, Reed went back to the table and quickly finished his work on the frequency detector device, putting some of the final touches on it, while Susan observed the machine, which was a small holographic constructed tool.
"What is that?" Susan asked.
"When I've ended up in this reality, I figured I could check if there had been other people who had also crossed to this reality," Reed told Susan. "If I could detect the frequency of these visitors, perhaps I could gather them all and bring us back to our home universes using the Bridge before we inadvertently cause an incursion with this reality. That's why I need to your husband's help to do so." Reed then pointed the Bridge to Susan before finishing the device and preparing to test it. "Now, let's see if this works."
Reed grabbed the device and he went to the balcony alongside Susan, activating the device through a switch and lifting it up in the air, as he hoped he could detect some sort of frequency outside. However, it seemed that the device had only detected the frequency of this reality's native citizens.
"Did you detect any visitors outside?" Susan asked.
"Not yet," Reed remarked as kept holding the device.
"Well, let's hope it gets better from here," Susan told Reed.
Suddenly, the device began to let out small beeps, hinting that it might have detected different frequencies outside the building. Reed was astonished at seeing the results.
"Incredible," Reed exclaimed.
"What?" Susan inquired.
"From what I can gather, there had been six different frequencies detected in this city," Reed commented. "Two were located in Midtown Manhattan, while another one was detected in Times Square. The last two frequencies I was able track are in Greenwich Village. Some of these frequencies are rather... abnormal."
"Which means..." Susan figured out what Reed was about to do.
"I will have to locate those people one by one, then I will meet up with my other self to bring ourselves back to our home realities," Reed told Susan, determined more than ever to locate these visitors.
Having left the Baxter Building, Reed made his way to Midtown Manhattan, where he had detected the frequencies of the two visitors, Logan and Blade, and reached the bar where they were fighting. Reed interrupted the fight between the two and insisted them in coming with him, as he believed he could convince them about the possibility of their realities colliding with one another, even if he didn't know the exact circumstances of how they all ended up in this reality.
Logan and Blade stared at Reed for a moment, unsure how to respond to his pleas, before Reed lowered their arms and left them thinking about his words. Though Logan was more or less aware about the Multiverse thanks to his conversation with Xavier, he was left shocked when he heard Reed telling him that his reality might be destroyed soon. Blade, however, was bemused by this fact, not believing for a second that he ended up in an alternate universe due to being unfamiliar with such concept.
"I know how confusing it all sounds to the two of you, but I assure you everything is at stake at this very moment," Reed told Logan and Blade.
"And how did you locate us?" Blade persisted.
"I was able to detect your frequencies in this reality," Reed replied to Blade. "Compared to the residents here, the frequency levels you two have were pretty unusual. I need to make sure we're all on the same page."
"Listen, Doc," Logan talked to Reed. "How can you know that our worlds might end up getting destroyed?"
"Because I know the larger footprint we leave in this reality, the greater risk an incursion," Reed clarified.
"Wow," Logan muttered. "And I thought things couldn't get any weirder than time travel."
"Speak for yourself, pal," Blade trailed off.
"Take it easy, guys! Please!" Reed pleaded Logan and Blade, preventing them from fighting again. "All we need is to find the other visitor."
"That "Spider-Man" guy?" Logan recalled watching the news, which reported on the man impersonating as the native Spider-Man before fighting Blade.
"You know who he is?" Reed asked Logan.
"No," Logan denied. "I just heard him on the news."
"First a dude with knives, now a guy calling himself "Spider-Man"?" Blade murmured. "This is already confusing."
Reed then pulled out the frequency detector from his coat pocket and activated it, detecting the same frequency he previously detected in Time Square now located in Lower Manhattan.
"What's the good news, Doctor?" Blade asked Reed.
"I think I know where this Spider-Man is now," Reed informed Logan and Reed. "Come on, let's go."
"Great. This couldn't get any better," Logan sarcastically remarked as he and Blade followed Reed and left the bar.
After leaving the bar, Reed, Logan and Blade headed to Lower Manhattan, where they tracked down Spider-Man, one of the multiversal travelers, who had just helped Ms. Marvel take down Griffin. As the three approached Spider-Man and Ms. Marvel following Griffin's defeat, Danvers was confused upon seeing a different Reed Richards while Spider-Man was unfamiliar with him.
"Reed?" Ms. Marvel asked as she was surprised to see Reed, mistaking him for the one she knew.
"Yes," Reed told Ms. Marvel. "But probably not the one you're expecting."
"Wait a minute. You know him?" Spider-Man asked Ms. Marvel, curious about her familiarity with Reed.
"Yeah," Ms. Marvel replied. "I mean, obviously he doesn't look like that, but..." She then rubbed her nose and took some deep breaths as she attempted to make sense of what she was seeing. "Please don't make this any more confusing."
"What do you mean?" Spider-Man inquired.
"He's not from the same universe as you, is he?" Ms. Marvel asked Spider-Man.
"I have no idea," Spider-Man told Ms. Marvel. "I haven't seen him until now."
Ms. Marvel chuckled. "I'm sorry. I just thought I was going crazy for moment."
"Trust me, sweetie," Logan advised Ms. Marvel. "You're not the only one who thinks so."
"Hold on a second," Ms. Marvel remarked upon seeing Logan next to Reed and confused him for her native Logan. "What's Logan doing here? I mean, are you even the same Logan I remember?"
"Look, I understand how confused you are," Reed informed Ms. Marvel. "But we don't have much time. We need to locate your Reed Richards. You know where he is?"
Perplexed by the situation she found herself, Ms. Marvel attempted to make sense of everything she had experienced over the last few minutes. First she had teamed up with a Spider-Man from an alternate reality who didn't resemble the one she was familiar with to defeat Griffin and now she was approached by a Reed Richards variant who requested her help to locate her Reed and had bought an alternate Logan and a mysterious vampire hunter whom she hadn't seen until now.
"Yeah, I think I know where he is," Ms. Marvel told Reed. "But we should to go to my apartment first. I need to know you guys better before we head there."
Ms. Marvel, Spider-Man, Reed, Logan and Blade walked away from the streets, leaving the unconscious Griffin behind. However, unknown to the five individuals, a mysterious being was observing them from afar as they were walking away, hiding its appearance from the skies.
Notes:
And that's the end of the chapter. As for the timeframe of the chapters, the first part of the chapter takes place during "Discovering The Reality", where Spider-Man was exploring Earth-838 and was mistaken for the universe's native Spider-Man, and the first part of "Fighting Against The Griffin", which covered Ms. Marvel's first fight with Griffin, then it shifts to the final moments of "The Daywalker and The Wolverine", where Reed meets Logan and Blade and takes place simultaneously with "Fighting Against The Griffin" and the last part takes place directly after "Fighting Against The Griffin". It can be very confusing and hard to follow, since it's told through a non-linear narrative, but I wanted to tie all the events from the last three chapters with this one and create a bigger picture.
When he's talking with Earth-838 Susan, Reed recalls the events of the 2005 Fantastic Four film, in which he and his friends gained their powers through the cosmic cloud as well as his attempts to recreate the cloud to bring them back to normal. I also made a reference to Julian McMahon's Victor Von Doom, when Reed remembers making a deal with him to fund the space mission. Since the two Tim Story movies didn't explore enough of Reed's guilt over the accident, I wanted to showcase it here and show how much the accident changed him and his friends and how despite his wishes to have a normal life, he had accepted his powers and began using it for the good of mankind as the leader of the Fantastic Four. The stranger who makes an appearance at the end of the chapter is Uatu The Watcher, closely observing the actions of the five main heroes similar to what he does in Marvel's What If...?
Let me know your thoughts on this chapter and I hope you liked it. Until then, stay safe and take care.
