Chapter Text
On December 18, 20XX, a new addition to the Fields family was born. It was a momentous occasion for that family. This family didn't have many members all over the world, so the ones who had seen the child were the grandparents. But it was a joyful day for some no matter what.
The father, Otis Fields, had been so happy his baby was a boy; of course he wouldn't have minded if their child was a daughter. The child would have been his baby regardless. Unlike Lorraine Fields, the mother, who had desperately wanted a baby girl. There wasn't a baby shower, they stated they wanted to know the gender the day the child was born. So when she found out that her baby was a girl, she threw a fit.
Hours after any medication had worn off of her, the parents fought with each other. She demanded to put her child up for adoption, her mother had been disappointed in her and fought back. She told her that if she ever had the thought of putting her grandchild for adoption, she would take him.
The father was annoyed, and severely angry that his love didn't want the child. As if she was basically saying she didn't want someone the two had created together. He felt heartbroken, and had asked that she be separated from her child. Just so she could calm herself a bit. Of course doctors were against the mother being split from the newborn, yet they did so once she started barking nonsense again.
The grandparents stayed with the father, the two coddled over their first grandbaby.
“So what will you name the child?” His mother-in-law, Logan’s grandmother, asked. She handed the father his baby. He lovingly took him in his arms. He looked awestruck at his child. He caressed the baby's cheek, feeling the smoothness of the soft skin touch his very own rough hands.
“Logan.” He smiled, “That will be his name.” The father held his child closer to his chest. He brought the child's head to his heart, making sure the baby felt his father's heartbeat, as if to tell him: It me.. Your dada, I'll protect you always.
Lorriane was never brought back until the morning of the next day. She was better now, and seemed to have no intentions to do anything to her baby. Otis thought it was a gorgeous sight to see his two favorite people in the entire world sleeping together.
But the moment would not last forever.
As the years went on, Lorraine slowly became neglectful to her little Logan. Logan was about three when it really became noticeable that she didn’t care about her son anymore. She would leave her child in his room everyday and every night; sometimes she would remember that she had to feed Logan almost every four hours. But most of the time she would forget.
This resulted in the young boy to become skinny, less nourished and extremely underweight. Of course the father was worried, even asking Logan if he’d been eating enough everyday.
Of course, being the child he was; scared that if he told the truth he’d get in trouble, he lied and always said yes. It was obviously suspicious, but the doctors said that Otis and Lorraine needed to keep an eye on Logan every day from now on. Unfortunately, Otis comes home late at night, so Lorriane “promised” to keep an eye out for Logan during the day. But the dad would always make sure that Logan ate in the morning. Thankfully, he left home for work at 8:30AM, so Otis would be able to have breakfast with his son every morning.
Nevertheless, Lorraine would still leave her child in his room every day until night. Logan was of course confused with himself. Had he done anything to make his mama not want to play with him.
The little child didn't care about not getting the food, he was scared he did something to his mama.
But sometimes these thoughts would come to the three years old mind because Lorriane occasionally gave Logan food, occasionally gave him the attention he deserved. Logan didn't know what was the root to make her love him, but he tried his hardest to make sure it would happen again.
A year later, when Logan was four, everything started to go downhill from there. He started school, like most kids in his neighborhood. That would mean his father would be able to drop his son off at his school everyday. That would also mean, his parents would have to make his lunch for school everyday. Otis had been happy for this because it would guarantee Logan eating everyday.
Logan was also very excited for the year to start. He never really made any friends the first few years of his life. It was because he was usually locked in his room everyday or that even when they did go out, he was always so quiet.
Lorraine seemed a bit skeptical about sending her son out to school. It was unknown why she was so doubtful for this opportunity. Truthfully, she didn’t know why she was scared. Maybe she just wanted to make sure Logan wouldn't be ratting her out about her parenting strategies. Yeah.. that was it. It had to be.
Because of these strange worries she had weird ways to express it; sometimes she would hit her child on the back of the head or grab him harshly on his arms and wrists, dragging him everywhere. This led to Otis confronting her about it.
It always ended in a heated argument, Otis asking where all this abuse was coming from, saying that she had been an amazing mom for their child the past few years. Lorraine never had a proper answer nor excuse; she would make something up. Explaining that she was just a worried mother looking out for her son, or that she had gotten mad at work that day and Logan was the nearest thing she came across to take her anger out. These arguments would continue on for months, the fights never stopping. At times Logan would be home, listening and silently crying at his parents fighting. Other times he would be at a friend's home hanging out or at his grandparents house, looking at the flowers they had in their flower shop.
But on December 11th, 20XX was the day Logan’s life crashed down on him like a boulder.
It was a normal Wednesday, he’d just been dropped off by a close friend of his from his school. He had fun today, he named all the shapes that the teacher had given her students. He was invited to play tag with some of his classmates. He finished his lunch, which at the start of the year had been extremely difficult for him. So he was excited to see if he would get a prize for doing so.
Logan walked up to the door, and knocked. Usually his mama would answer after 10 minutes, but his dada was home today! So he waited patiently for the door to open. He looked at the flowers in front of his house, there were asters, baby’s breath and clematis flowers. A small garden consisting of the loveliest purple and white flowers. Logan and his grandparents made it together when they babysat him a month ago.
Off topic, but the four year old had been waiting outside for 8 minutes now. Maybe his dada went to pick something up at the store! It was his birthday in a few days anyways.
But just in case, he knocked on the door again, a little bit harder than his previous. But instead of the door staying put, it cracked open suddenly. Logan looked a bit flushed and embarrassed, how had he not realized the door was open this whole time.
The young boy opened the door, hoping to see his father with open arms, waiting for a hug from his baby boy.
Instead of that false imagination, he was greeted with the stench of something disgusting and the image of his dada on the floor. At first he thought he was asleep, but seeing the puddle of red liquid underneath him and the looming figure of his mother holding a bloody knife above his father confirmed any suspicions he had.
Logan stared in shock for a bit, not knowing what to do. But once he barely processed what was going on, he screamed. Screaming as if his life depended on it. The child thought his heart was being ripped out of his chest, and his vocal cords and lungs cried out for help as he continued to scream. He felt something hot roll down his face, he brought up his hand and covered his eyes and mouth. He took a deep breath before screaming and yelling again. He was crying, he was crying because his dada was gone. And it was all because of his mama..
Logan covered his mouth harshly, his throat ran dry and he started to cough a bit. He could slightly taste the feeling of iron in his mouth. He looked at his father again but instead was greeted with the creepy smile of his mother looking at him. Lorraine placed a finger to her lips, telling him to shut up. But Logan couldn't help but flinch back and scream a bit more, despite his vocal cords crying out in pain.
The next few moments felt like a blur.
A feeling of someone grabbing his hair before dragging him to a nearby wall and slamming his face into the said wall repeatedly. Logan couldn't do anything. Not anymore. His screams meant nothing, and the poor four year old realized that this was truly his mother, if he could call her that.
His lungs felt tight, his head started to spin and black dots clouded his vision. The world looked red, maybe because of the blood. The last thing he saw was his mother, who stopped hitting her child on the wall and moved onto dragging his limp and small body into the hallway to a room.
Then everything went black.

Hayo, Jay again!
Uh yes, I did start another book.. Why? Because I saw a comment on another book someone had requested a story; I asked beforehand if I could write it for them, and they said yes!! Their name, the person with the ABSOLUTE best idea, is Robin123
Again thanks for letting me write it :)
But because I now have two books, some reports I need to work on and at least a month until school starts again, i’ll have to implement a schedule :/
Anyways! Here that is, for Flowers Ambition, I’ll probably post on Fridays, and for The Loneliest Star most likely on Saturdays :P
But it won’t be acted until August 15th, I will be posting whenever I finished the chapter for said book until that date.
These days I'm not normally busy; with upcoming practice and school coming back, but if I don't post any chapters these days, I apologize in advance. I don't want to seem rude by saying this, my personal life is quite busy so I can’t post all the time.
I really really hoped you enjoyed it, I love to take any criticism you might have. I take it with open arms :D
Have a great day and thanks for reading this beginning chapter of The Loneliest Star!
Chapter 2: In the Blink of an Eye
Notes:
Hayo, Jay here!
Do I heavily apologize for saying I'd post this yesterday and instead post it on a Tuesday? Yes, I do apologize. I genuinely don't know why I couldn't finish it, but I feel like it turned out well, but it's not my best one so far.
But enjoy the chapter!
(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)
Chapter Text
The definition of nightmare is a disturbing dream that awakens because of negative feelings. It's very common for children but those of any age can get nightmares; usually they have meanings, such as trauma or unmet physiological needs. But while they also have meanings, they also have different types of nightmares: idiopathic, recurrent and post-traumatic.
Why am I telling this to you, you may ask. It is because six teenagers have been living in what people call their nightmares but to them, it's the real deal.
Every night, starting at 12 AM, they go through a seven hour long stay at – what they call – the phantom dimension. This place has dozens to hundreds monsters with large grinning faces, white eyes and a tall, thin black figure. Even though they suffer in a nightmare, that doesn't mean they don’t have actual nightmares once they’re out of the phantom dimension.
Once they awake from the realistic nightmare, they try to sleep for the next morning. I mean, they are still teenagers, they have a hell called school every weekday. While sometimes they do get some sleep, that's not every night. Their nightmares can differ from feeling like they're suffocating in their sleep to feeling too real to the point they think they’re still in the phantom dimension.
That's called post traumatic nightmares, and it wouldn’t be such a surprise if they had PTSD from what they experienced. But for Logan, one would say his nightmares when he tries to sleep doesn't relate at all to the phantoms. It's always about that one night in his life, when he was 4.
Would he say that's better than the phantom dimension? No. He’d rather relate to the ongoing nightmares with his friend that keep his dreams a secret.
Ashlyn woke up with a start, it was 7:28 AM right now. She’d gotten a good three hours of sleep last night before she had to wake up for school. It was a “lovely” Monday morning for school! Yeah no. The morning was gloomy and the clouds were covering the sun.
It was understandable though, it was the middle of September so the air would be cold and the sky dark for an autumn day. I have a feeling Aiden is jumping in his neighbors piles of leaves right now, she thought. She doesn’t know why she thought of it, but it was the thought in her head.
She sighed as she got out of bed and stretched her limbs. Last night was exhausting. Not only did they forget to fill up their backup water jug, one of the lights on the wall seemed to lose its bolt and fell to the floor. That resulted in a phantom climbing up the wall.
They fixed it though, having three people work together to screw it tightly on the wall again; the other three made sure any phantoms that did get past the light security stayed dead.
Overall, it was one of the worst nights she could possibly think of. Then there's school! Holy man did she not want to go to school anymore. All Ashlyn did in class was sleep, she couldn't even move her hands to write anything. Man was she thankful Taylor and Logan somehow could take notes or her grades would be dying.
She got to her dresser and changed into a simple outfit: blue hoodie, with a white shirt underneath and black jeans. She grabbed her bag and earphones before exiting her room. The smell of coffee wafted in the air, holy cows did she really need some of it.
“Morning trooper, your coffee is ready.” Ashlyn’s dad said, handing her the thermos in his hands. He seemed in a rush since he was basically running upstairs while Ashlyn did the opposite.
“Usually Mom is late, is it opposite day?” She chuck;ed at him, her dad stopped in his place and turned his head to her. He made a shush noise before going to his room again.
Ashlyn sighed, she put her shoes on and left the house. It was maybe 7:36 AM when she left, the bus would be arriving in two minutes. She waited by the bus sign; Ashlyn took a sip of her coffee before enjoying the flavor. Thankfully the coffee wasn’t burnt. Oh how can she remember the times her father was in a rush and burnt the coffee.
A minute later the bus came. She gave a small smile when she saw Aiden furiously waving at her through the window while Ben was holding him back from opening the bus window. Ashlyn got on the bus, heading to her seat. Aiden was smiling at her widely, not in a creepy way more like a ‘I'm going to annoying the f outta you.’
She took her seat and put her bag next to her.
“Heyyyy Ash!” Aiden cheered, his head peeking out from behind the seat. While Ashlyn thought it was annoying and too early in the morning, it was sort of getting comfortable to see people waving and smiling at her. “Did you finish the science essay?”
Nevermind, she forgot that this human being would remind her of the existence of homework.
“I’ll ask for an extension, Ms. Macchia loves me, she’ll do it.” Ashlyn stated in a tired tone. Yes, she completely forgot that her science teacher had assigned them homework. She was only half a page into the work and barely any resources to work from. Aiden gave her an even bigger smile and took her bag and exchanged himself with the item.
Ashlyn stared at him in awe, and not in the good way, why does the Lord above her hate her so much.
Ben looked at them too, his mouth agape. The redhead couldn't quite place an emotion that described the mutes face. Aiden looked content though, “Now we can talk more!” He told her.
Ashlyn was still in disbelief. “Ben, tell your cousin to move back to his seat.” She looked ready to punch him. Mentioned male sighed and took out his phone, the monotone voice spoke its words: ‘Sorry Ashlyn, he promised me my favorite drink from a cafe later. I could not deny, please forgive me for this.’
The redhead stared at him as he looked ready to start laughing. The apology was real, but even he knew that the other words were unnecessary. I've been teamed up against, how can this day get any worse.
13 minutes later, they arrived at the school. Everyone was bustling with dread as they exited the bus. Ashlyn walked with Aiden and Ben who were following closely behind, were they a bit late? Not really, they had at least 15 minutes till they were late anyways.
They entered the classroom and took their seats. The twins nor Logan were there yet, meaning they were taking their sweet sweet time or they were genuinely late.
As the warning bell rang, Taylor and Tyler came to class, minutes before Mr. Thomas. Logan had yet to arrive, but it didn’t completely faze everyone. Sure Ashlyn double checked if Logan was actually going to come to school today ( because if he was, he’d have to hurry or be late ), but every now and then one or more wouldn't come to school if they didn’t feel like it.
Once the main bell rang, the teacher entered with the late teen. They were talking in hushed whispers, Mr. Thomas looked a bit concerned and Logan had this inexpressible mask on.
“IF you feel any sicker, let me know.” Mr. Thomas told him and motioned him to go to his seat. Logan, who was at the back of the class behind Taylor, sat down and laid his head on his desk.
Taylor looked at Tyler, no words were spoken but they seemed to be communicating to each other, like twin telepathy.
“Good Morning class, open your textbooks to page 279.” Mr. Thomas spoke, writing on the board the assignment for the day. Everyone brought out their books and notebooks. Tyler laid his head on his books before he completely fell asleep.
A few hours later and three classes then, it was lunch time. Ashlyn walked alone to the cafeteria before she saw Taylor exit her class. The two started to talk about the randomest of things, the latter doing most of the talking while Ash just responded in mumbles or actual words.
Both girls got to the lunch table where the boys were doing their own business.. sorta. Ben was listening to music with Logan resting his head on Ben. He was watching Aiden and Tyler fight with each other. Logan was on his phone the entire time, looking at it anxiously.
They took their seats, Tyler and Aiden still bickering. Ashlyn looked at Ben and Logan.
“What are they fighting about this time?” Taylor sighed. Ben typed on his phone, careful not to disturb the person who laid on his shoulder. ‘I think that they were fighting over the best Pirates of the Caribbean movie.’
Ashlyn struggled to not hit the both of them on the head. While the movies are great, is it really necessary for them to cause a scene? Taylor groaned and scolded her brother to sit down. The bickering teens sat down, still throwing the smallest of remarks at each other; once they did settle down they sat in silence.
“Tonight, what should we do?” Taylor said, breaking the silence amongst the group. Ashlyn thought about it, they didn’t really have a plan did they? The past few weeks since her parents have taught them self-defense, they’d only been training in their spare time during the phantom dimension hours.
“Can we try to plan out operation jeep?” Aiden suggested, and for once in her life Ashlyn thought about it.
“We can, it's been a few weeks.” Ashlyn put her hand to her chin, “Planning it doesn't sound so bad, but I don't think we can execute operation jeep yet though.” Everyone nodded. It was true, if they didn’t think about all possibilities, they could end up hurting themselves.
“That doesn’t sound so bad.” Tyler and Taylor said together. They stared at each other before telling their sibling to stop copying them.. You can assume how that played out.
Ben gave a thumbs up to the plan, Aiden was smiling happily at Ashlyn, who side-eyed him. Ashlyn rolled her eyes before looking at Logan. His head was hung low and his phone was held in his hands on his lap. Now that she’d thought about it, he’d been quiet this entire group gathering.
It's not unlike him to be quiet, he himself expressed the fact he didn’t like talking unless he thought it was important. The twins are trying to fix that, because they assume Barron had something to do with that.
Ben nudged Logan a bit and he flinched up. By then the twins were done with their play fighting and were just listening in.
“Uh yeah, totally whatever you say.” Logan gave a sheepish smile, which Tyler gave him a suspicious look. The dirty blonde probably saw it and sighed, “Sorry I blanked out. There’s something going on and I'm just worried.”
“Can you share with the class?” Aiden smiled, leaning over the table to look Logan dead in the eyes. Logan shook his head now and moved himself away from the awkward position. Aiden sighed in loss, Ashlyn pulled him back to his seat.
The lunch bell rang, meaning the end of their eating period – If that wasn't obvious enough.
“Is it alright if we all go to my place after school?” Ashlyn asked as they started to leave the table, “Just so we can get everything ready and stuff.” She shrugged, Aiden immediately nodded his head yes while Ben gave a smile and nod. Taylor agreed for both her sibling and herself while Logan motioned for a maybe before he continued his conversation with Tyler.
Cool, Ashlyn thought, they had a plan.
The dismissal bell rang, and all students rushed to get out of school for the day. Ashlyn got her stuff slowly though; the hallways were always so crowded and loud for her so she never went along with the class outside until five minutes later.
Fortunately and unfortunately, Aiden was in her class, along with Ben so she wasn’t entirely alone. Once they did get out of the classroom, and got their stuff from the lockers they walked outside to the bus stop.
Tyler and Taylor were already outside, sitting on the grass together. Today both of them didn’t have any of their clubs, skipping Mondays because their members thought it was tiring to do anything on the first day of the week.
“Where's Logan?” Tyler asked, he must’ve assumed that the other teen was with the three. Ben shrugged and Aiden looked wildly around for the male.
“Dunno, he has psychology as his last class.” Ashlyn told them.
"Let's not worry too much guys, he must've gone on his usual bus.” Taylor reasoned, “Maybe his grandparents needed him for something before he could go to your house.”Tyler huffed in annoyance which was sorta weird since he normally wouldn’t care but Ashlyn didn’t bother him with it.
The bus pulled up to the curb, students lined up to get on. The five teens got on the bus together and sat down in respective seats. No one seemed too worried about LOgan, afterall.
He’s fine, right?
Notes:
Hayo, Jay again!
I just want to quickly say, maybe I'll rewrite the ending of this chapter some time later? The ending, to me, seemed so rushed and lazy that I kinda hated it but here we are! I just needed to make sure y'all get something out of this book. :3
I might not post a chapter in a while, my mind is absolutely killing me and my brain is mush from writing and deleting and writing over again. But I will try to do so for you guys since people seem to really enjoy this :O
As always, I really really hoped you enjoyed it, I love to take any criticism you might have. I take it with open arms :D
Chapter Text
It was 11:38PM, only 22 minutes till 12AM, and there was still no sign of Logan. Taylor had started to get worried when the youngest didn’t show up at 9:30PM like normal. Her twin shrugged it off, saying that he can show up whenever he wanted.
That didn’t stop any anxiety that whelled up in Taylor’s stomach, plus Ashlyn getting a little annoyed that Logan never showed up at the designated time was also worrying. Sure they all were worried for their friend, they even tried calling him many times and texting him a good amount to the point it would be weird. But he never answered.
“Can you call him again? Just to make sure he’s okay?” Taylor sighed, sitting down on the seat in exasperation. She and Aiden had just finished pouring all the water into their container for the night.
“Ugh, we already tried earlier,” Tyler rolled his eyes, “If he saw our messages, he’d call us back. He’s not coming.” He started getting comfortable on his chair to the left of Taylor, it was 11:43PM now. In a few moments they’d be going to the phantom dimension.
The second it struck midnight, the wave of nausea casted itself on all of them; but they were all used to it already so it wasn’t such a big deal. Aiden was the first to snap out of the sick feeling, checking for his surroundings. It was now a rule that once they come back to check if any phantoms could’ve made it through their wall.
It was highly unlikely, but who knows what can happen in this hell hole.
Getting off topic Aiden saw that the coast was clear and gave a thumbs up to Taylor who sat in the back seat of him. She smiled back and shook her head. Everyone else was slowly getting back to the fake world, Tyler’s eyes landed on something inside the tire.
‘That’s Logan’s tire..’ He though before getting up and wobbling his way over to said car piece. When he did he couldn’t believe his eyes.
“Logan!?” He half yelled, making sure that everyone else heard, “Shit- we need a med pack.” Tyler screamed to the rest of the group, who were standing up and making their way to Tyler and Logan.
“Now guys!” The taller twin ordered out, Ben coming over with a Med kit. Ashlyn kneeled down beside Ben, who motioned Tyler aside, and assessed the situation. Of course she was a bit taken a back. Logan was her, in the phantom dimension, despite not being with them when the transitioned.
Honestly, there was no time for worrying about how he got here, it was more what happened to him.
His face was covered in dried blood, eyes dissociating and body all curled up in a ball inside the tire, small splats of blood on his clothes. ‘He looks like he’s been to hell and back..’ Ashlyn thought, handing the bandages to Ben.
Taylor was shaking a bit, wondering what had happened to the youngest. Aiden had this creepy smile on, but that was normal, yet no one knew what he was smiling about. Tyler was up and getting a cup of water for Logan.
Once Ben was done wrapping Logan’s head in a bandage and cleaning up his face with a wipey, he gave a thumbs up and got up to put the materials away. “What happened to you Logan?” Taylor asked, taking Ben’s spot.
Logan didn’t respond, stilling staring at the distance. His normal blue eyes were foggy and dull instead of the brightness it usually carried. Taylor got a bit worried. It was already clear enough that Logan got a serious head injury, maybe even a concussion, so it was normal for him to blank out.
But it was stilling worrying, concussions were a bad injury for people, and without the proper treatment, Logan could get seriously more hurt later on.
That’s when Aiden snapped his fingers, signaling Logan to (no pun intended) to snap out of it. He did, slowly turning around to face Aiden and stare at him. It was a hot and disturbing, seeing Logan so dead inside.
“Y-you guys are real right?” Logan whispered out, his voice was broken and sounded unused for a while. Everyone nodded at him and he lunged out to hug Ashlyn and Taylor, the code test to him.
Ashlyn was taken a back, this wasn’t a normal Logan thing to do and she wasn’t a physical touch type of person; but she embraced it with open arms. Literally. Taylor was too taken aback, but she immediately returned the hug. She could feel the small trembles of the boy and his shaky breath.
Logan snuggled deep into the embrace. As if he’d never see them again. Ashlyn slowly undid herself from the hold and let Taylor take him. The brunette was way more comforting than she is so it’s better that way.
“She said I-I’d never see y-you guys again..”His voice was cracking, and it was definitely no problem figuring out that he was crying. But all that mattered what who this “she” was.
“Who said that?” Aiden asked, squatting down to get a better look at Logan. Ben did so too, and started typing on his phone for something. Tyler looked at Aiden then at Logan. He was curious as well, and he had a strange suspicion whoever said it hurt Logan as well.
“The person who took me.” He barely whispered. Taylor pulled back on the embrace and held on to Logan’s shoulders. Said male looked in the other direction, face pale and tears flowing from his eyes.
“Tay what did he say?” Ashlyn looked at her and held onto her arm.
“Are you saying you’ve been freaking kidnapped?!” She screamed out, eyes wide and anger clearing rising up. Everyone looked a bit shocked. Being kidnapped was definitely not on the list of how he got hurt. At worst was probably being mugged on the way home.
“Shit- Logan..” Ashlyn breathed out, one of her friends were kidnapped and bleeding out somewhere with head trauma, “Did you see who?” She asked.
“Was this why you didn’t come to Ash’s house?” Aiden questioned, putting a finger to his chin like detectives do in movies. Tyler punched his closest arm, “No shit Sherlock!”
“Geez, didn't have to be so aggressive.” Aiden huffed out, grinning maniacally at Tyler. “If you were using your brain correctly I wouldn’t have to be!” He fought back, sneering at Aiden.
[Guys, let’s just stop fighting. We need to assess the situation.] A robotic voice chimed in. Ben gave a disapproving look to both boys and looked over at Logan. Ashlyn was staring at the fighting males and also gave them a look of disappointment. Taylor was hugging Logan back in her arms.
“I didn’t s-see who, but all I knew was it was a woman. She knocked me out when I left the building since class ended early.” Logan sighed, he started to curl back in a ball after Tyler pulled Taylor away to give Logan some breathing room.
“Okay.. we don’t have a lead here.” Ashlyn mumbled out loud, Aodne agreeing with her by nodding his head.
“Lead? What do you mean?” Logan asked, looking up at the five of them. He had stopped crying a while ago and the water Tyler gave him previously helped with his voice.
“You really think we’re not gonna try and find you? So silly!” Aiden smiled, flopping his hand up and down. Logan was a bit shocked before looking down at his tire.
“Why even try..” He sighed, “It’s pretty obvious that the person who took me wants me dead. You should just leave me.” He flinched back when a sharp pain shot up to his forehead. Thankfully not to much to the point his head could start bleeding again.
“You freaking idiot, you think we’re gonna leave you to die there?” Tyler exclaimed, giving an angry look at him. “Yeah Logan, you’re our friend, we’ll make sure you get back to us safely.” Taylor smiled at him. Logan returned it with his own small smile.
[Plus, we can’t have our best shooter feeling down now can’t we!] Ben’s phone spoke, the owner of the phone smiled; even if those words were AI spoken, you could hear the positivity radiating off of that sentence.
Logan gave a prouder smile, “Thanks guys.”

Hayo, Jay here!
Man it’s been a while yeah? Almost a full month? If not a full month! Soo I do apologize for that, I had just started school again and the transition from summer to work was absolutely dreadful.
I was also taking a bit of a mental health break cause stuff went down already and I was feeling too good about myself.
But I’m back again and im hoping to make more chapters as the year goes on!! It’s really nice being back again and I can’t wait to write.
Also, guys fuck my writing schedule okay? I was stupid to even think of one because these posts will be completely spontaneous but in the time frame of 2-3 weeks. Really depends on my mood, business and overall my school schedule.
Also if it’s a bit shorter than normal, sorry! This is kinda like the start of actual plot and I didn’t want to put too much into it-
I really really hoped you enjoyed it, I love to take any criticism you might have. I take it with open arms :D
Chapter 4: Important Note
Chapter Text
Hayo, Jay here.
I am sorry to say, I can’t continue this anymore. This book was so important to me when I first started back in the summer. I’d gotten so much praise and appreciation from people more than I had ever in this past year.
This year is going off to a rocky start for me in high school. Personal issues have been happening with me lately and I’m also just tired in general. I’ve gotten a work load to do and was diagnosed with anxiety a few days ago from it.
A huge sorry for @Robin123
I really want to just say sorry that I can’t continue, truly. I loved your idea and had so many great ideas for this prompt.
Also, I’ve been falling out of the fandom for a while too. Like it’s still enjoyable to read but not as I love it before. I’ve recently getting back to my older fandoms that I thought I fallen out of took.
I might make books for them instead, but again, sorry for not being able to continue this book any longer.
It was a pleasure writing for you guys, thank you all so much for the kudos, the support and just everything in between.
Have a great day and thanks for reading!
