Chapter 1: In the old therebefore
Chapter Text
Truth Shall Set You Free
stumbling in war shod shoes
young enough to believe in glory and blood striped bones
what were we winning laid bare in red soaked mud
swords sworn to courage and bravery, guns rusted and unowned
what did we all accomplish with so very many lives gone
ghosts traded for treaties, battles broken by peace
and the harsh realization
we should have started where the end began
Kinn
In 1972, humans from America descended upon Bangkok, Thailand, where the native wolves, dubbed savages by the newcomers, held dominion. The humans, arrogant in their technological prowess, looked down upon the wolves as lesser beings. Yet, the wolves, curious about these strange creatures, entertained the idea of a peace treaty with them, allowing the humans to seek refuge in their ancestral lands. Little did they know, the humans had deceit in mind, planning to conquer both the land and its inhabitants.
So, at just seventeen years old, Korn Theerapanyakul, the youngest head Alpha Bangkok had ever known, rallied the strongest men and women willing to defend their homeland. As President Nixon learned the wolves were fighting back, he demanded his military wipe the wolves out with impunity. American forces flooded the streets of Bangkok, determined to subdue the wolves by any means necessary.
Unbeknownst to the humans, packs from all around southeast Asia, hearing of the wolves' plight, rushed to Bangkok's aid. United by a common enemy, they fought alongside the native wolves against the human invaders. The ensuing two-year war exacted a heavy toll, with lives lost on both sides amidst fierce battles and exhaustive strategic maneuvers.
As Nixon's presidency ended, the new human leaders requested an end to what was now deemed an unnecessary war and a weary peace settled over Bangkok. With a new, but uneasy treaty created, forged now in blood and fear, wolves and humans were forced to coexist. Yet, beneath the fragile surface of peace, animosity simmered. The wolves harbored a secret vow of eternal hatred towards the humans and their descendants, a destiny passed down through generations.
In the aftermath, Korn Theerapanyakul grappled with his role in forging a new future for his people. He navigated the complexities of leadership, torn between preserving wolf traditions and embracing a fragile peace with humans. Meanwhile, descendants on both sides carried the scars of war, forever shaped by the conflict that altered their lives and relationships.

2024
Kinn hailed from the most influential Alpha lineage in all of Asia, his father none other than the Korn Theerapanyakul, the legendary head Alpha who had led the wolves through the tumultuous war of 1972. Raised within the rarified air of aristocracy, Kinn possessed an innate disdain for humans, viewing them as inferior and unworthy of his company. He rebuffed any human who dared approach him, dismissing them with a cold indifference that spoke volumes about his pride and arrogance.
Kinn holds a deep respect for his older brother Tankhun, who had wedded Lao, a revered Omega within their community. Tankhun, though not the most dominant Alpha in their pact, commanded respect through his alliances and family ties. The union had borne two offspring, setting a standard of familial success that Kinn felt compelled to surpass.
From a young age, Kinn had distinguished himself among his peers. His strength, speed, and intelligence marked him as a prodigy among Alphas, earning him the title of a "high alpha," revered as the pinnacle of their kind. His aspirations extended beyond mere status; Kinn sought an Omega who matched his caliber, refusing to settle for anything less than perfection.
His younger brother Kim shared Kinn's drive for excellence and desired the best of the best, yet so far has fallen short of Kinn's formidable reputation. Together, they embodied the aspirations of their esteemed lineage, driven by a relentless pursuit of greatness even in a society that already held them in awe.
In the rarefied world of wolf hierarchy, where lineage and prowess dictated status, the siblings of the illustrious Theerapanyakul family navigated a delicate balance between ambition and tradition. Their pursuit of perfection mirrored the expectations placed upon them as heirs to a legacy that spanned generations—a legacy that demanded nothing short of absolute perfection. Which didn’t always make for the nicest of personalities.
Kinn had been at work all damn day, his temples throbbing as he shut his laptop with a satisfying click. He craved a strong drink and good company. Dialing up Time and Tae, he invited them to The Scent, Thailand's hottest nightclub, owned by none other than himself. No humans were permitted inside; the entry requirement now involved proving one's wolf status by showing their fangs. Too many humans had tried to mask their scents with perfumes, rendering scent checks unreliable.
Picking up his best friends on the way, they headed to his club. "Seems like a rough day, Kinn. Want to talk about it?" Tae asked from the passenger seat, concern etched on his face.
Kinn's grip tightened on the wheel. "It's my dad again. I'm thirty, and in our world, the biological clock is ticking. You know how it goes."
"Yeah, he wants you to marry that asshole Tawan, doesn't he?" Time interjected from the back seat. "Can't stand that fake asshole."
Kinn nodded grimly. "Exactly. Tawan is from the Kittisawad clan, the most powerful Omega family globally. They miraculously found their heir last month after he disappeared twenty-eight years ago. Now, they're eager to grant him everything, including me."
"It's still fishy, though. Didn't he have another name at birth, starting with a 'P' or something? And suddenly, this Tawan guy shows up at their doorstep with a sob story, and they buy it?" Tae scoffed incredulously.
"They did a DNA test, Tae. It came back positive. Hard to argue with that," Kinn replied, frustration evident in his voice.
When they arrive at the club, Kinn parks his car, and they all step out to head inside. Their VIP section is waiting, complete with a selection of betas that Kinn had handpicked before they arrived. For Kinn, nothing beats a good drink accompanied by the finest betas in town, catering to his every need.
Time and Tae, determined to get Kinn in the party spirit, force him to take shot after shot of the finest tequila available. Soon, they're all on the dance floor, and Kinn can feel hands roaming all over his muscular body. He turns to see one of his betas bending over in front of him, giving him a tantalizing preview of what's to come later. Kinn moves in, gripping the beta's hips firmly, slapping their ass, and grinding against them. Tonights beta is picked, the others are silently sent home by his unseen guards and with no fanfare. The alcohol hits him hard, the tequila coursing through his veins. He's drunk, hungry, and horny.
With ten minutes until closing time, Kinn lets his best friends know that he's ready for some food. Time and Tae nod in agreement, clearly just as intoxicated. Kinn watches them, almost jealous of their bond. Tae holds his husband's hand as they laugh and stumble outside, a picture of a couple deeply in love after more than a decade together. Time loves Tae to death, and Tae reciprocates that love completely.
As Kinn follows them, the beta from earlier links arms with him, and they make their way to Kinn's favorite food truck, aptly named Midnight Snack. They sell the best greasy burgers in town, a fact that Kinn will staunchly defend. The best part is that it's in his territory, so he knows humans rarely come around this way. And if they do, they know better than to linger.
Kinn walks up to the window of the food truck, waiting to place his order. Glancing over at his friends and his toy of the night, he notices Tae already rolling his eyes at the beta. It's clear Tae already doesn't like him, but Kinn doesn’t care, it’s just a fling for the night, no one needs to like the beta. After ordering their food, Kinn heads back to the table.
“Kinn, your friend here was just saying that he thinks you’re quite the catch,” Tae remarks with a mischievous glint in his eye.
“He is. He’s handsome, rich, and powerful. Who wouldn’t think Kinn’s a catch?” the beta responds.
“So, you just think he’s great because he’s handsome, rich, and powerful?” Tae begins to grill the poor guy.
“Tae, calm down. We both know how this ends for him and me anyway. We eat, go back to my hotel, have some fun, and we will never see each other again,” Kinn assures his best friend.
“What do you mean never see each other again?” the beta questions. “So, you just fuck me and that’s it?”
“What else were you expecting? You signed the NDA before they brought you to my booth. You read the clause in it. This is a one-night stand, and nothing more. Besides, if I can’t breed you, why would I want more with you?” Kinn says carelessly.
“You asshole!” The beta stands up and slaps him in the face. Kinn doesn’t react, only grinning slightly as a swarm of guards surround the beta and drag him away.
“Fuck you, Kinn!” the beta shouts.
“Sorry, but there will be no fucking of any kind tonight after all.” Kinn laughs and sighs.
Time and Tae snort as they drink their sodas. “Damn, Kinn, you’re ruthless,” Time laughs.
“They all know what it is. And it’s not my fault if they want more with me. I only date the best, and that’s that. Is it wrong of me to be this picky? I fuck betas because they can’t get pregnant. But one day, I’ll settle down with the finest omega in Bangkok.”
“Keep being super picky and you’ll end up marrying Tawan. Although, it seems like your family already has their minds made up about him,” Tae reminds Kinn.
“Fuck Tawan. I need to get my people to investigate that poor excuse of an omega. There’s no way in hell he can be their biological son. Something just doesn’t seem right.”
“I thought you said earlier that blood work doesn’t lie, Kinn?” Tae grins.
“I guess we can make an exception in his case, maybe he could have falsified it?”
“Better get to digging quickly then before they marry you off to him.”
Kinn’s name is called, and he stands up to get his order. Still tipsy, his balance isn’t the best, and as he walks, it feels like the floor is shifting beneath him. He bumps into someone hard, hearing a thump as the person hits the ground.
“Dude, what the fuck?” a voice says. “Watch where you’re going, you drunk idiot.”
Kinn’s eyes snap down to the person, and anger quickly takes over. “Watch who you’re calling an idiot! Do you know who you’re talking to?”
He can feel his pheromones releasing as his chest rises and falls. A swirl of an orris- raspberry, violet and pepper surrounds him, but the person on the floor doesn’t react at all to the overpowering scent. Normally, such a release has alphas or omegas falling to their knees.
“Oh, fuck off. I’m just trying to have a good night out with my friends and eat good food, and here you are being an asshole.”
The guy hops up, dusting off the back of his tight jeans.
“The least you could do is say sorry.”
“I will not apologize for bumping into you. It was an accident. You are the one who overreacted and got all prissy about it!” Kinn yells.
“Overreacted? Want to see who’s overreacting? I can show you overreacting.”
The guy shoves Kinn back. As solid as he is, he isn’t easy to push around, but the guy pushes him easily, causing Kinn to stumble backwards into a vacant table.
“Oh, you’re fucking dead!” Kinn lunges at the guy, but before he knows it, he gets a roundhouse kick to the side of his face.
“Come on, big and bad dude. Hit me back!” the guy taunts, thumping his chest like a barbarian.
“You asked for it.” Kinn runs towards the man, tackling him to the ground. He straddles the man’s body and lands a solid punch to his jaw.
“Is that all you got?” The man below him taunts. “My grandma can punch harder than you, asshole.”
Kinn has had enough. He wraps his hands around the man’s throat, squeezing hard. He can feel the man’s body thrashing around, trying to release himself from Kinn’s grip. After a few long seconds, the man manages to buck his hips up hard enough to throw Kinn off him. Kinn falls backward onto his backside, sitting there in shock; he’s never met anyone strong enough to level up with him like this.
“You play dirty, I like that.” The man teases as he spits pooling blood from his mouth. “But I like to play even dirtier.” He jumps on top of Kinn, straddling the alpha. He slaps Kinn’s face a few times, laughing amusedly. All this manages to do is piss Kinn off even more.
“I can’t believe this is happening!” Time laughs. “This is amazing!”
“Shut up before Kinn hears you and disowns us.” But Tae can’t help to laugh as well.
Never in his life has he seen someone take Kinn on like this. No one has been strong enough. Which gets Tae’s brain turning a bit. What if this strange man is the one?
The man leans down and presses a quick kiss to Kinn’s cheek before being ripped off by the guards. He likes to use that tactic to piss off his opponents in the underground fighting rings. Kinn is beside himself; a stranger just kissed his face. The guards hold the man as Kinn stands up and straightens himself out.
“Who the fuck do you think you are?” Kinn spits out.
“Why does it matter to you, Alpha boy?” The man laughs. His eyes are taunting, and Kinn wants to slap the sly seductive look off his cocky face.
“A human, I presume. Disgusting.”
“Oh? Well, this human just beat your ass. And if it wasn’t for your guards, I would have knocked out those pretty little teeth of yours.”
“Hold him still.” Kinn demands. The guards tighten their grip as Kinn walks closer to the man. He grabs his chin hard, squeezing until he can feel his bones grinding a bit.
“Tell me your name, or I will find out on my own and pay a little visit to your whole family.”
The man’s eyes narrow tightly at that comment. Kinn can see the intense flare of anger behind them, and he smiles, loving at how hard he hit that nerve. “Porsche, you asshole. My name is Porsche,” he grits out through very tightened teeth. “Now leave me and my family alone. Or this human will kick your ass all over again.”
“I’ll be seeing you soon, Porsche.” Kinn nods at his guards, and they release him.
He doesn’t leave without taking his food, of course. His friends follow suit, but not without smiling at Porsche along the way. Tae giving Porsche a tip of the hat nod.
Porsche stares them all down with a menacing countenance that seems to bother none of them at all, despite the nearly visible flames surrounding him.
“You’re smitten by this Porsche, aren’t you, baby?” Time whispers in Tae’s ear.
“Definitely. He’s piqued my interest. It’s rare that happens for me. I feel as though Porsche and I could be the best of friends one day.”
“Good luck convincing Kinn that it’s okay to date a human.” Time laughs.
They get in Kinn’s car, and he’s visibly upset.
“Hey, are you okay?” Time glances over at his friend with worry.
“I’m fine.” Kinn grits through his teeth.
“You are not fine. Look at how angry you are. Also, can you roll down a fucking window? Your pheromones are too much right now.” Time coughs profusely at the overwhelming scent.
“Sorry, Time. I… fuck.” Kinn rubs his hand down his face.
“Kinn, what is it?” Tae asks, worryingly.
“It’s that man. It can’t be… No!” Kinn shouts, bashing his fists against the steering wheel.
“Kinn? What is it???” Time shouts.
“He’s human! It can’t be; it isn’t… there must be a mistake!” Kinn screams. “He can’t be my mate. He’s a fucking human!”
“Your mate??? Kinn, what do you mean???” Time questions with a worried look.
“I felt it. I… When I choked him, I felt the connection. My wolf, he wanted him more than anything. He begged for me to bite him, mark him, and make him mine. I can’t, I don’t understand, it’s disgusting! His kind are disgusting!” Kinn turns the car on and slams on the gas.
“I need to talk to my father about this. There must be some kind of mistake. Humans and wolves can’t be… No, it’s a mistake!”

My Perfect World
In a world full of imperfections, my story feels nearly flawless.
These hands holding my shoulders, comforting me with assurance over long years, are the
same ones grasping lies made from their own selfishness. My world may not be as
perfect as it seems... maybe I’ve ignored all those hidden flaws for my own purposes as
well... only time will tell.
Porsche
At 15, Porsche was diagnosed with hypothyroidism, a condition that brought unexpected weight gain, muscle aches, fatigue, depression, and a puffy face. The family doctor prescribed him Tapazole, 10mg daily, to manage his symptoms. Trusting his parents and doctor, he never questioned the necessity of the medication. On his 21st birthday, Porsche forgot to mention to his parents that he had run out of medication. After two days without it, he experienced some of the worst days of his life.
He was home alone, drenched in sweat, tormented by relentless stomach cramps that nothing could soothe. Waves of dizziness and nausea overwhelmed him, culminating in a faint memory of collapsing to the ground. When he regained consciousness, he found himself hospitalized, his parents and best friends were gathered around him. An IV drip replenished his dehydrated body, and his mother, Diane, embraced him tightly, her face etched with worry.
“Please don’t ever go without your meds again, sweetheart. You scared us.” Her tears
fell onto his hospital gown as she stroked the back of his head just like she did when he
was a scared child.
“I promise I won’t do it again, mama.” He hugged her back tighter, her embrace calming
him down. “I felt like I was dying.” He sobs. “I never want to feel that pain again.”
“There, there my baby. You won’t, I promise. I’ll make sure you never run out again.”
Another seven years have passed, and now at 28, Porsche has been on his medication for as long as he can remember. With an upcoming doctor's appointment, he's contemplating asking for a reevaluation. Maybe there's a chance he no longer needs the medication, or perhaps surgery could offer a more permanent solution to his hypothyroidism. He hopes to find answers soon, as he is weary of the daily regimen.
**********************
He woke up with a pounding headache, not from the two beers he had last night, but from the solid punch he took to the face - the one he claimed didn’t hurt him at all. Truth be told, the jerk hovering over him had landed a solid hit, but he’d never give him the satisfaction of knowing that.
Slowly, he sat up on his king-size bed, with forest green satin sheets sliding down his bare chest. He stretched and yawned, rubbing his heavy eyes. Exhausted, but he still had plans with Tem and Jom to keep. His phone lit up, and he knew it had to be his friends.
Tem: Wake up, you pretty bitch! We will be there in an hour to pick your tight ass up.
Jom: And don’t be rolling your eyes, I can feel that you are through the damn phone, Porsche!
Porsche: I hate you both so much… I’m up. I’ll be ready by the time you get here. Bring
me some breakfast and coffee, thanks loves!
Tem: Not Porsche wanting some sausage early in the morning and warm liquid to go
down his throat.
Jom: 55555!!! We all know Porsche loves that sausage.
With a roll of his eyes, Porsche tosses his phone onto the bed and gets up. He takes a long shower, washing away the memories of last night's encounter. Normally levelheaded, something about that man had thrown his composure into disarray, like a dysfunctional rollercoaster. The way the guy had so easily gotten under his skin made Porsche even angrier just thinking about it. Shaking off the thought, he continues getting ready for the day.
Porsche and his best friends are planning to hike at Khao Khiao, the closest mountain to Bangkok. Given that it’s the hottest month in Thailand, it’s probably not the best idea, but they are determined. He grabs his short black shorts, an old white cotton tee with cut-off sleeves, and his trusty all-black Skechers. After dressing, he heads into the kitchen to fill his large, insulated cup with iced water, knowing hydration is key in this sweltering heat.
An hour later, his friends pull up outside, ready for the adventure, despite the blazing sun. The excitement of the hike ahead momentarily eclipses the heat, and Porsche grabs his gear, stepping out to join Tem and Jom for their day in the mountains.
Jom: Hey, we’re outside, princess. Let’s go!
Porsche: How many times do I have to tell you not to call me that? I’ll be down in a sec.
Tem: We acknowledge your royal lineage, your highness. We dare not misalign you.
Porsche rolls his eyes at the text, locks the front door, and heads to the car.
“You two are ridiculous,” he says, shutting the car door and buckling up.
“Thank you!” Tem and Jom say in unison.
“Today should be great. There shouldn’t be too many people out there since it’s so hot. We should have the trail to ourselves for the most part,” Tem says, putting the car in drive and setting off.
“Good, I don’t want to bump into anyone today,” Porsche exhales.
They arrive at the trailhead about thirty minutes later. To Porsche’s delight, there are no other cars around. Tem and Jom waste no time by immediately running up the steep slope, eager to reach the top before the 3 o’clock heat hits them.
Porsche takes a moment to appreciate the tranquility of the empty trail before following his friends, with the anticipation of the hike beginning to overshadow the lingering memories of the previous night.
“Can you both slow the hell down?” Porsche struggled to keep up with them, his head still pounding from the previous night.
“Quit acting like an old man. Hurry up!” Tem yelled from ahead. “Maybe if we dangled a hot man in front of you, you’d be sprinting faster than us.”
“I come out as gay, and you both make it your personality more than I ever could…” Porsche deadpanned.
After a good two and a half hours of bickering, they finally made it to the peak of the mountain.
Porsche admired the view for a bit, soaking in the sun and fresh air.
“Hey, want some fruit?” Tem asked, snapping his friend out of his trance.
“Sure.” Porsche turned and sat down on a blanket that Jom packed in his bag.
“You okay today? You seem like your thoughts are too heavy for your head.” Jom had always been able to tell when Porsche was troubled.
“I’ve been thinking a lot lately about my life in general.” Porsche leaned back, planting his palms on the ground. “I’ve told you guys about how I feel like something is different when it comes to me, something just feels not quite connected for me.”
“You’re a superhuman!” Tem joked.
“Sometimes, I just feel like I don’t fit in. Like I’ve always been different.”
Jom looked at his friend of fifteen years and saw the seriousness etched on his face.
“I know. Even when we were kids, I remember you always being alone. I’m glad Tem and I transferred to your school back then. So you didn’t have to be alone anymore.”
“I’ll always love you guys for that.” Porsche sat up straight, popping a cold pineapple into his mouth and swallowing. “My parents always said I was special. Sometimes I wonder what they mean by that.” He grabbed his water and took a sip. “The only thing seemingly special about me is I have hypothyroidism and need to be on medication for the rest of my life.” He laughed.
“You are special, Porsche. You’re way better than most people I know. You’re one a hell of a good friend, I can tell you that for sure,” Tem smiled.
“Sometimes I feel as though my life has been so damn perfect that I’m just waiting for something to go horribly wrong. Like I’m waiting for the other proverbially shoe to drop” Porsche grabbed a tiny rock and threw it in the distance.
“Where is this coming from?” Jom scooted closer to Porsche and placed a gentle hand on his back.
“Last night, after we had those beers together, I wandered into the wolf’s territory. You guys know me, I always end up there.” He cleared his throat and continued, “Anyways, I got into a tiny measly very little grapple with an alpha.”
“Porsche, are you serious??? An Alpha??? And you’re alive to tell the tale? Holy shit! Why didn’t you call us to go back???” Tem was standing at this point, hands on his hips like a mother scolding her child.
“I didn’t want to bother you guys. Besides, I was completely able to handle him on my own rather easily.”
“Porsche, wolves can kill us in a snap of a finger. They are strong, freakishly strong. What do you mean you were able to hold your own?” Tem yelled.
“I don’t know. There were a couple of times where I was able to bring him down. Don’t get me wrong, he got a good hit too. But I surprised myself a few times as well.”
“My friend, you are positively insane. You’re super lucky that you didn’t get hurt, or even worse… killed. Next time, walk away from the situation or at the very least call us.” Tem and Jom hugged Porsche and pulled him to his feet.
“It’s cool of you, though. Most humans would have ended up in the hospital. You seriously hit him???” Tem laughed.
“Yes, and I slapped him too. I may or may not have kissed him on the cheek to piss him off as well.”
“You what!?” Jom grabbed him by the arm and pulled him close.
“I kissed his cheek.”
“Porsche, you only ever do that shit in the fighting ring. But you were out in public, and it was a damn wolf no less!” Tem was beside himself.
“It’s fine. He got his guards to break us up and we both walked away. One of his friends, I assume, did give me a nod of approval, which was kind of weird.”
“Well, I’m glad you’re here to tell the tale.” Tem slapped him on the back, making Porsche wince a bit.
“Shit, I need to take my meds!” Porsche pulled his tiny pouch from his pocket and popped a pill into his mouth. He guzzled down some water and wiped the remains off his lips.
“Sucks you have to be on that for the rest of your life,” Jom said.
“Yeah, but I need it. Doctor’s orders... and my parents. The couple of days I didn’t take them, I felt fucking miserable. Hypothyroidism sucks.”
They admired the view for a bit longer before the heat started to become unbearable. Tem decided it was time to head back down and go home. As they made their way downhill, they retold their favorite old stories of their childhood and reminisced about all the fun they’d had over the years. As far as they are concerned, nothing beats the memories they have built together. When they arrived at the parking lot, they noticed a black Maserati parked there, which was odd, but they just ignored it.
“Finally, we made it back. It’s so damn hot,” Tem complained. He opened the trunk of the car and threw everything in it. Jom joined him, and they sat in the front, blasting the AC to cool off. “Porsche, come on, bro!” Tem yelled.
“One sec.” Porsche opened his bag, pulled out a small hand towel, and started wiping the sweat off his forehead. Then, he took off his shirt to cool off his body and reapplied his deodorant. He slipped his shirt back on and threw his stuff back into his bag. “That’s better.” He sighed and tilted his head back for one more look at the big open blue sky.
“Are you always showing off your body like that? I’d bet a million baht you often do.”
That voice... Porsche recognized that voice. He spun around to find the man from last night leaning against the Maserati, dripping with luxury from head to toe, along with the two very beautiful men who were with him last night. “It’s none of your damn business what I do.” He snapped. “Why are you here? Stalking me like some psycho?”
“You’re not special enough to stalk. I’m just here for a hike, same as you. Last I heard, this was a public park,” the man gritted out.
“Kinn, be good. Porsche, I’m sorry about him. He’s just constantly tightly wound up, that’s all. As in, never not wound up. Ever.” Tae jumped in.
Porsche stared at Tae and could feel the simmering heat spreading through his body start to dissipate. The car doors behind Porsche opened, and both Tem and Jom got out.
“Everything okay here, Porsche?” Tem was looking at the strange man leaning against the Maserati with caution in his eyes.
“Everything here is perfectly fine. Kinn there is just being an asshole, thinking he can talk to people however he wants. Oh, and apparently, he doesn’t know how to mind his own business,” Porsche snarks, while staring said man down.
Kinn doesn't take his eyes off Porsche for a second. He can see the sweat dripping down his long neck and running down his chest, disappearing beneath his shirt.
“Hey, psycho! Stop staring at me like that.” Porsche yelled.
Kinn’s eyes shot up to Porsche’s, and a snarl crosses his face. “Noone is looking at you.” He clears his throat and opens his car door to grab his bag. While distracted, Porsche walked up on him.
“You weren’t looking at me?” Porsche was awfully close to the alpha, their chests nearly touching. “You sure looked like you were eye-fucking me, psycho.”
“I love this boy!” Tae clapped his hands together and laughed. “Where the hell did you even come from? Here, put your number in my phone. I need to be your friend.” He pulled Kinn away from Porsche and shoved his phone into Porsche's hand.
Porsche obliged, typing his number in and saving his name in the phone book. “Just don’t give it to that asshole,” he said as he handed the phone back to Tae.
“I wouldn’t dream of it. He doesn’t seem to like you anyway.” Tae purposely teased.
“Whatever, I’m leaving now.” Kinn shoved past Tae and quickly took off on his hike.
“Dude, wait up!” Time shouts as he runs after him.
“I’d love to see you soon, Porsche! Maybe we can do dinner, my treat.” Tae waved a hand and ran off to catch up to his friends.
“What the fuck was that about?” Tem questioned.
“I can’t stand him. He’s such an asshole!” Porsche ignored his friend and walked off to cool down. His heart was racing, and heat was creeping all over his body. He saw a bench in the distance and walked toward it. With rage flooding through his body, he kicked the bench so hard that it flew a few feet away.
“Porsche, are you okay?” Jom ran to him as he saw blood trickle down his leg. “How the hell did you do that? It was bolted down!”
“Just get me home. I need to shower... I feel... I’m going to pass out.” And with that, darkness overtook his vision.

Chapter Text
**Kali’s Embrace**
In shadows cast by love's fierce blaze,
She nurtures nightmares, feeds her own desires.
Her whispers weave a binding black thread,
Every whispered promise, a path to agony for not one but so many more.
Her heart pierced by broken thorn, sings a miserable chaos song,
With every triumph won, her horrors bloomed and grew.
"You will be my blight," she breathes with pride,
Within her fierce gaze she clearly saw her little devil's prize.
She guarded his heart with rusted iron chains, and taught him well,
In her embrace, he knew only endless pain and learned to need nothing.
"Without me, son, you would be lost and poor, unwanted,"
Her love was only a wanton lesson to learn, a snare disguised as care.
Tawan, caught in a dance so grim, too young to know better,
A son seemingly adored, lost within a plan and so eager to please.
Kali, fierce, both guide and master, the only mother he knew.
In her destruction he suckled until filled, evil laid before him like love.
---
What Lies Beneath
Kali grew up as an only child, cocooned in the lavish comfort of old money. Material things were never in short supply, but the desires in her dreams were wild and untamed, especially as she aged. The death of her father on her fifteenth birthday marked the end of her golden days. Her mother squandered their fortune with a speed that left Kali reeling. She despised her mother's carelessness; she could not believe how selfish and thoughtless the woman was. She learned so much from the harsh lessons her mother ignored. Her heart shattered, she made a vow: whoever she married would be rich, no matter the cost.
When she first laid eyes on Dahak, one of the city's most formidable Alphas, she knew he had to be hers. She was only eighteen when she stepped into her first moon goddess party, a gathering of the most sought-after Alphas and Omegas. She had cunningly manipulated her finances to secure her invitation, these last three years of her life could not and would not continue and she knew this was her last chance for survival. Her beauty was undeniable, and as she walked in, heads turned, and Alphas vied for her attention. All except the one she truly desired. She would make the first move, her entire life depended on it.
"Excuse me, Alpha Dahak. My name is Kali, would you like to dance?" It was a daring move; one no sane Omega would attempt. It was precisely this boldness that caught Dahak’s eye, his vanity desired this type of bravery in an omega. Before long, they were dancing the night away, indulging in too many drinks, ignoring all others and relishing in their haughty and untraditional behavior. They drifted to the tune of their own making and eventually found themselves in an empty bedroom, where she easily seduced him and he equally seduced her, and they consummated the night until he knotted her, filling her with his seed—just as she had planned. When she discovered she was pregnant, Dahak's parents insisted they marry, and thus she wormed her way into the illustrious family.
Nine months later, Tawan was born. The moment she held him, she vowed that her son would have the best of everything. He would never suffer for anything. The world would be his for the taking.
The birth of Tawan coincided with the arrival of the heir to the Kittisawat clan, a family Kali had always envied. They were the second most powerful family in all of Thailand, just beneath the mighty Theerapanyakuls. Jealousy gripped Kali like a relentless plague as she watched the Theerapanyakuls fawn over the Kittisawat’s newborn, showering the baby with gifts and attention. In contrast, Tawan was ignored, his arrival barely acknowledged. The sight of the Theerapanyakuls lavishing their rival with affection while overlooking her own son filled Kali with a burning resolve. Kali was not one to accept defeat. She knew that Tawan held the potential to reshape their destiny. She would stop at nothing to elevate him, ensuring the world recognized his greatness. The slight from the Theerapanyakuls would not go unanswered. Tawan would rise, and she with him, the true power of their lineage would be revealed.
"He’s no better than my Tawan!" Kali gritted through her teeth as she lay in the hospital bed.
"Honey, it’s fine. As long as Tawan has us, nothing else matters." Dahak ran his fingers through her wavy black hair as he smiled down at his son. "They will probably want to marry off that little devil to their second son if he presents as an Omega."
Kali’s nails dug into the meat of her thigh, causing blood to spill down her leg and onto the white sheets. "Enough about them! Today is about our son and no one else. They can do whatever they want. If my wife and son are happy and healthy that’s all that matters."
Dahak took Tawan from her arms and rocked him back and forth, soothing the small pup. "Maybe I should have their child kidnapped and sold to the black market. That would give our son a better chance at marrying their Theerapanyakul’s second born."
Dahak’s eyes stared hard at Kali as she spoke with such ill will. "You will not do such a thing! The Kittisawat’s are great people and good business partners of mine. You will not be stealing their child and possibly causing a war between our families! Don’t ever speak of such a thing again or I will take our son away from you and you will never see me or him again!" He spoke with his Alpha authority.
"Yes Alpha…" she responded, not daring to spare a glance at her husband. Her thoughts consumed her for the next two days in the hospital, eating away at her like a vulture to a dead carcass. She wouldn’t let this go until she knew that her son would have a secure future as well.
Their first night home, Kali researched some of the best kidnappers in Thailand as her son slept peacefully in his basinet next to their bed. Dahak snored softly beside her as she tried to remain calm and quiet as possible. After a few minutes, she finds the perfect man for the job.
**Text exchange: **
Kali: I have a job that will pay handsomely if you’re interested.
Him: How much are we talking?
Kali: 3 million baht.
Kali’s pulse quickened as she saw the typing indicator. If he refused, she’d be forced to take matters into her own hands.
Man: What does the job entail? That could affect the price.
Kali: I need the Kittisawat’s newborn son to disappear. Permanently. Kill him if necessary. Just make sure he’s gone.
Man: That’s a significant job. The Kittisawat’s are extremely powerful... 3 million baht won’t cover it.
Kali: Fine. 8 million baht. Do we have a deal?
Man: We do. Send me the details, and I’ll take care of it ASAP.
Kali: I’ll provide the address and all necessary information. Half up front, and the rest once the child is gone. Can we meet tomorrow morning?
Man: Agreed. I’ll see you tomorrow for my money.
Kali grins ear to ear. She set her phone down on the side table and thinks about the obstacle that is her husband. While she knows how ruthless he is in business, on the outside formidable, on the inside he is rather fair and gracious. Her life with Dahak has been fine. No lows but no highs either. She’s still young... she reminisces about her father. How much she loved and adored him. Kali's hard heart softens for just a moment before she realizes what she must do, for the greater good of course.
She turns to her husband in the dark, runs her hand across his chest and quickly pinches a nipple. Her tongue quickly follows, her hand snaking down his belly to his manhood as he begins to stir from his sleep. He reacts to her touch without much hesitation just like that first night at the moon goddess party. He can never resist her body. She swiftly swings her leg over, centers atop him and his eyes fly open, sparkling, an ear-to-ear grin on his face.
“My beautiful Omega, how may I pleasure you this glorious night?”
“My love, I need your mouth on me to ease this pain, may I?” Kali demurs in the sweetest tone she’s ever used.
“Of course, my dear, I exist only for you,” Dahak draws her up his chest, his mouth already full of saliva, eager for the flavor of her, that of dark cool cave waters in the highest heat of summer, so refreshing. She arches her back as she sinks onto his face. Moaning in rhythm with his tongue as begins licking her more rapidly, more intensely and she’s pushing more deeply, and she’s caging him in with her thighs. Kali is so enamored with her own vision of smothering him like this, thinking that it could really work, she brings it to fruition with her desire alone.
She has his entire mouth inside the opening of her body, his nose engulfed in her folds, she can actually feel him struggle to breath directly on her on clit! She is amazed at the sensation of it as she presses her body down even harder, drags herself against his face in micromotions just to get a little more friction as she can feel her orgasm mounting. It’s going to be a deluge and he will drown in her slick. Just the thought alone has her scent of lilies and rain engulf the entire room, pushing her right over the edge. Then it happens, she feels him convulsing. She knows he hasn’t been able to breathe nearly the entire time they’ve been at this. And now? There is so much slick, more than she’s ever been able to produce before, flooding his mouth, his nostrils, he is trying to pry her legs off him, but it is far too late now. It never occurred to him that this was even possible. It’s better this way. After he’s been still for a while, she starts screaming like her soul has been ripped physically from her.
A crying Tawan stops her wailing, and she can hear people from the house running to their room, she’s still sniffling when walks over to him, picking him up from his bassinet and cradling him in her arms. “Shhhh Shhhh Shhhh… Calm down my sweet pea. Soon, the world will be all yours. Mommy will make sure of it.”
No one will ever suspect what really happened, two exhausted parents of a newborn, still madly in love, not realizing how far they were going. Just a strange accident. What alpha didn’t want to die that way... men dreamt of it, right? In Dahak’s case, it was a dreadful nightmare that came to life, which also ended his life.
********************
28 years later
Kali mingled effortlessly among the wealthiest Alpha families, thanks to her late husband passing, leaving behind all his wealth and status in her greedy hands. The other families found it hard to accept her as head of the third family in the beginning, but after some time had passed, she was able to gain enough respect amongst the five families of Bangkok to lead in her dead husband’s stead. She was attending yet another annual Theerapanyakul ball, a glittering event that drew the city’s elite, knowing this year would finally be different from all the previous. Standing at a tall table, champagne in hand, she heard a familiar voice that made her lips curl into a sly smile.
“Mrs. Vikairungroj, it’s great to see you here,” Mr. Theerapanyakul said, extending his hand. Kali turned slowly, her face donning the polished mask she wore so well.
“Oh, nice to see you too, Mr. Theerapanyakul, I hope your lovely wife and children are doing well.”
“They are, they are around here somewhere,” he replied, raising his glass of whiskey to his lips.
“I hope you’ve been well. Losing a son must be the hardest thing and after your alpha, your strength is insurmountable and I am always so please to see you here.”
“It’s been 28 years since that tragic day. I think about my little sweet pea every single night. SIDS is the worst thing that can happen to a child and so close to the death of his father. Sometimes, even all these years later, it doesn’t feel real to me.”
She lowered her head, releasing a subtle distress scent of dead flowers and still water.
“Please, don’t fret, Mrs. Vikairungroj.” Mr. Theerapanyakul handed her a fresh glass of champagne. “Have another drink and try to relax.”
“If anyone understands your pain, it’s us,” a voice chimed in.
“Mr. and Mrs. Kittisawat” Kali bowed her head, giving a wai. “It’s nice to see you both here. I know you both don’t get to go out and socialize as much anymore.”
Mrs. Kittisawat has never been fond of Kali. However, as mother to mother, they share a bonded grief, and she respects how Mrs. Vikairungroj keeps her head held high and moves forward even when the majority of the people wouldn’t offer her the least bit of their sympathy the way they did for her when her son was kidnapped, or possibly even worse… murdered. The not knowing what happened to her baby boy, forever holding her frozen in that fearful grip. Maybe it’s slightly for better for Kali, to at least know where her little light is… she knows it does no good to think like this and that it is unfair to both of them, but still, the thought has always lingered.
“We never knew what even happened to our son. We don’t know if he’s dead or alive. But my instinct tells me he’s out there somewhere, and one day we will find him. It’s been so hard living all these years with the unknown, like always being in the shadows.” Mrs. Kittisawat wiped away a single tear that slipped down her cheek, hating to show weakness.
“You will find him one day; I know you will,” Mr. Theerapanyakul assured her.
“The world works in mysterious ways, maybe you’ll find him sooner than you think.” Kali placed a gentle hand on Mrs. Kittisawat’s shoulder, an eerie grin crossing her face as she consoled her. They were all accustomed to her strangeness; she had suffered so much loss in such a short amount of time after all, they barely acknowledge the offhand things she said at all anymore.
The party went well as usual, night wore on, everyone had just a delightful time darlings, and eventually guests began to leave one by one until only Kali and the Kittisawat’s remained. The air was thick with unspoken tension, and Kali’s mind whirled with her dark machinations. She could barely contain herself with the destruction was so very ready to release upon these fools.
As they departed, and Mrs. Kittisawat promised to call the Theerapanyakuls upon arriving home to confirm their safe return. Once inside, she pulled out her cell phone and dialed their number.
“Just letting you know we are safe and sound,” she said.
“Sounds good, please let us know when you two want to have dinner,” was the reply.
“Sure, let’s make it soon, being out tonight actually helped a bit,” she agreed, hanging up. Mrs. Kittisawat kicked off her heels, sighing in relief. As she and her husband headed toward their bedroom, a knock echoed from the front door.
Mrs. Kittisawat looked at her husband with worry. “Honey, who could possibly be here this late?”
“I’m not sure. Chay said he was with his friends tonight. He would have called if he changed his mind and came home. Stay here; I’ll check it out.” He grabbed his gun and slowly approached the door, weapon aimed and ready. “Who is it?”
No response.
“I said who is there?” Mr. Kittisawat glanced at the monitor mounted on the wall, revealing a young, disheveled man standing outside, ready to knock again. “What is your name?” he called out loudly.
“Tawan...but, I am not sure if that is my real name,” was the faint reply.
“We don’t know a Tawan. Please leave my property.”
“Honey, did he say what he wanted?” Mrs. Kittisawat whispered.
“No.”
“Ask him what he wants.”
Mr. Kittisawat nodded and turned back to the monitor. “What do you want?”
With a tear-streaked face and a cracked voice, the stranger responded, “I think… I think I might be your son.”
The husband and wife stared at each other in shock. They had waited 28 years for a moment like this. Now that it was here, both uncertainty and hope surged within them. Could it be? Was this some kind of cruel joke? After 28 long years, could they have finally found their son, standing at their door? It felt surreal, almost too good to be true. They unlocked the door and let him in. Mrs. Kittisawat looked him up and down with tear-filled eyes.
“How old are you, sweetheart?” she asked, her voice trembling.
“I believe that I am around 28 or so. I’ve searched my whole life for my real family. I never gave up. I hope you didn’t give up on me?”
“Oh, sweetheart, we never gave up on you, never for a moment!” Mrs. Kittisawat couldn’t contain herself; she was out the door as quickly as could be, but her husband remained reserved. She gently pulled Tawan up from the ground and embraced him tightly.
“Come inside and rest. Tomorrow, we will talk about everything and sort this out,” Mr. Kittisawat said, patting Tawan’s back. “We’ll get a blood test done, just to be sure.”
“You think I’m lying?” Tawan sobbed.
“No, sweetheart, not at all! This is just so overwhelming and it’s been twenty-eight years. We need to be certain of course, that’s all. But we believe you, and we hope you believe in us when we say this is for the best,” Mrs. Kittisawat promised.
“Of course. Tomorrow morning, we’ll go to the hospital for the blood test. I have a doctor ready. He helped me find you in the first place, or else I might never have known who I really am,” Tawan sobbed, clearly exhausted.
“We’re so grateful you understand! Now, let’s get you cleaned up and to bed. You’ve clearly been through a lot,” Mr. Kittisawat sighed, afraid for this to be a horrible scam but also desperately wanting this to be to true.
Morning dawned, and they hurriedly made their way to the hospital. Tawan called the doctor who had agreed to perform the blood test, and soon they were in the examination room, undergoing the necessary procedures.
“The results should be back shortly. Please wait in the waiting room,” Dr. Hail said before leaving them.
Hours passed both like an eternity and entirely too quickly until finally, Dr. Hail returned with the results in a large white envelope.
“Here you are. These are the results. I’ll leave you to it,” Dr. Hail said, handing over the envelope.
“Thank you, Doctor,” they replied with a respectful wai before finding a more private area to open the envelope.
Mrs. Kittisawat wasted no time ripping it open. Her eyes widened, and tears streamed down her cheeks. “It’s Porsche! It’s our baby!” she exclaimed joyously.
Mr. Kittisawat swiftly took the paperwork and scrutinized it. “It is!” he confirmed, pulling Tawan into a tight embrace. “We’ve waited so long for this.”
“So have I, Mae and Pa... So have I,” Tawan whispered, overwhelmed with emotion.
“We have so much to catch up on. We’ll give you the world, baby boy. Just wait and see!”
“I’ve been looking forward to this moment for such a long time,” Tawan said, tears of relief and happiness flowing freely.
“Tell us, Porsche,” Mrs. Kittisawat began her voice gentle yet filled with longing. “Where have you been all these years? How did you find us?”
Tawan took a deep breath, gathering his thoughts. “I... I was raised in an orphanage in a distant province. They never told me much about my birth parents, just that I was left on their doorstep as a newborn. As I grew older, I had this feeling, a deep longing to know where I came from. I saved up money from odd jobs and eventually hired a private investigator. It took years, but he finally tracked down your family name and connected the dots. That’s how I found you.”
Mr. Kittisawat listened intently, his eyes reflecting a mix of disbelief and gratitude. “And all this time, you never gave up,” he murmured, more to himself than to Tawan.
“No, sir. I couldn’t. Not knowing... it just ate away at me,” Tawan admitted, tears welling up again.
Mrs. Kittisawat reached out and gently wiped Tawan’s tears. “You’re here now, that’s all that matters,” she said softly, her heart overflowing with maternal love she had thought she lost forever.
“Thank you for not giving up on me,” Tawan whispered, his voice filled with genuine gratitude.
“We could never give up on you,” Mr. Kittisawat said firmly, pulling Tawan into another embrace. The room filled with warmth as they sat together, finally reunited after decades of separation. Their scents mingled well together, like a blend of a fresh spring day filled with love and happiness. Although the future was uncertain, in that moment, they were a family, whole once more. “Dear what do you want us to call you, now that you’re here? I know you were born to me as Porsche, but have lived as Tawan and I want you to be comfortable and not pressured” Mrs. Kittisawat asked a gentle smile on her face.
Tawan hesitated for a moment, his brow furrowing in thought. “They’ve always called me Tawan... Would it be okay if I still used that name? It’s what I’m used to; I think it would be difficult to answer to Porsche now.”
“Of course, sweetheart,” she replied warmly, reaching out to squeeze his hand. “Tawan it is, then.”
“Thank you,” Tawan said softly, a sense of relief washing over him.
“We have so much to catch up on, Tawan,” Mr. Kittisawat said, his voice tinged with emotion. “But for now, let’s celebrate this moment.”
“Yes, let’s do, Mae, Pa” Tawan agreed, a small but genuine smile lighting up his face.
This is the life that he had repeatedly been promised as a child. A complete family and a loving home. An influential and filthy rich family that he would very soon be the head of, and if everything went to plan, and it would, an even more influential and even richer alpha fawning all over him. It couldn’t get any better than this, and he would burn the world down before anyone could take this or anything else away from him, ever again.

Chapter Text
Defying what the heart wants
braiding lucidity into dreams of what used to be
cosmically comical rays of disbelief
the universe is clamoring for me again
caged wolf swaying to new rhythms
found honor, found peace
found love in the forest deep
held your head like the Golden Fleece
learned beauty had to be defined differently
deep breaths entwined with misgivings
till they shattered
ground the shards to dust- to ashes
and a new Phoenix is born
a changeling covered in budding love
these dark days just begun
clamoring over jagged rocks and heavy hearts
that you and I should grieve
instead, we squeezed
ragged breaths forced through struggling lungs
vain attempts to bring forth with such determination
that wasn’t really felt didn’t really exist
was wanted just to want to need to give
there is no you without me and no me without you
in this is endless destiny
Kinn
Mr. Korn is reading as he lays in his bed with his most cherished and lovely wife beside him. A sudden loud and urgent knock at his door tears his eyes from his book.
“Pa, its Kinn. I know it’s late but I really need to talk.” The sound of desperation from his son’s voice has him looking to his wife with concern. She gives a gentle nod as she holds his hand.
“Come in, son.”
Kinn storms in and quickly walks over to his father’s bed side. “Pa.” Kinn’s voice sounds wrecked, his eyes glazed over as if he’s fighting back tears.
“What is it, son? What’s happened?” His wife grabs his book and places it on her bedside table along with hers.
“I think… I mean I know. Yet, it doesn’t make sense, I found my mate today.”
“Oh honey, that’s a good thing!” Kiarra says softly.
“No, it’s not. He’s…”
“Look son, if your mate doesn’t come from a well-known family, it’s okay. Your mother and I had a long discussion last night about this. We think it’s time to change some things around here. As long as you think you both really love each other, that’s all that matters. Would it make things easier if they came from one of the 5 elite families? Yes, it would. But we don’t think that should matter nearly as much as true love. As far as the engagement to Tawan goes, we will call off the marriage. True viable love is important to your happiness and if it is your fated mate, a fated mate is very rare, and we think it would be best if you wed the Omega the moon goddess sent you.”
Kinn laughs, it almost sounds manic. “He’s not an Omega.”
“If it’s another Alpha or a Beta it’s ok. You can always use invitro to make sure you have an heir.”
“It’s… he’s… fuck!” Kinn paces the room a bit before turning back to face his parents. “Ma, Pa. Have you ever heard, even a whisper or a strange tall tale of wolves and human being mates or anything along those lines in all of our history?”
“I’ve never heard such a story like that, son. There is no such thing.”
“Anakinn, are you saying your fated mate is… is a human?” his mother sounds as if she’s gasping for air after she realizes that is what Kinn is trying to say.
“Yes, I don’t know how this happened. I didn’t even know this could be possible! The moon goddess must be mistaken. There is no way I could be mated with a worthless human like him!”
“Son, calm down. There must be some sort of mistake. Wolves and humans can’t form a bond. It’s biologically impossible. They have to be a wolf themselves for this to happen. Maybe you’re mistaken, he must be a wolf.”
“He’s an absolutely disgusting human. There‘s no doubt about it. He doesn’t have a scent to him at all and no scent glands to speak of. I’d rather marry Tawan than that worthless piece of trash! Hell, I’d rather marry a Beta than be with him.” Kinn grits out.
“You need to calm down. I’ll have one of our maids bring you a cup of lavender tea to your room. Please stay here for the night and sleep. You’re in no shape to go home like this; you’ll get into a car accident.” Kiarra says, and it’s more like a demand than a request.
“Fine, I will, but just for the night. I need to leave early morning; I have so much work to attend to, I really cannot begin to deal with any of this at all.”
He turns on his heel and walks out of their quarters. By the time he gets to his own room, he has a cup of hot lavender tea waiting for him on his bedside table. He sits down hard on the side of the bed, his feet planted on the ground. He grabs the tea and inhales the relaxing aroma before taking a small sip. It takes him a few minutes to finish the calming drink; he can feel the tea relaxing his body little by little. He strips off his clothes heading towards the shower, turning it all the way up until the water is nice and hot. The bathroom fills with steam fogging the giant glass mirrors up. He stands in front them, and can’t see his reflection, he’s glad. He would hate to see how much of a mess he is right now.
As he waits, he smells a hint of cinnamon and green apples. He hates cinnamon with the passion and has always preferred red over green apples ever since he was a child. Green apples are just a bit too sour in his opinion. He senses become more alert as the smell becomes stronger with each second that passes. Then, he hears the bathroom door creaking as it slowly opens.
“Anakinn… It’s nice to finally meet you.” The voice startles him, he quickly covers his intimate area with his hands.
“What the fuck are you doing in here? Who let you in?”
“Is that a nice way to speak to your fiancé?”
“Don’t call me your fiancé. I didn’t even pick you; our families did. Which by the way, they gave me the green light to call off the engagement, I just met my fated mate.”
Tawan only gives away the smallest reaction, his face briefly showing anger at the news. “Well, we all know fated mates aren’t actually a real thing. Just a tall tale that our elders made up to sound romantic and to embellish their love stories with, so I’m not worried one bit.”
“You should be.” Kinn grabs a towel and wraps it around his waist. Tawan smirks as he catches a glimpse of how well-endowed his fiancé is.
Tawan’s eyes rake up and down Kinn’s body before he stalks closer to the Alpha. “Like I said, I’m not worried at all. Looks like my fiancé is tense. Is it just because of this so called fated mate, or is something else troubling you?”
Kinn just stares at the man in front of him. He’s pretty, he can’t lie about that. He’d probably pick him at a bar to warm his bed for a couple of hours at a hotel if this were any other night. However, his smell is all wrong. Instead of it bringing him comfort, it just makes his skin crawl. “How the hell did you manage to get into the house anyway?” he bites back. “Also it’s none of your business if I am tense. You may leave now. Also, if you want to even try to win my trust and affection, don’t barge into my room or my parents’ house like this ever again.”
“I’m your fiancé Anakinn. Shouldn’t I be allowed to walk in through the front door whenever I please?” Tawan doesn’t seem fazed by Kinn’s aggressiveness in the slightest. “And, ah-hmm your mouth says one thing, but your body is saying something else entirely, my Alpha.” Tawan looks down and licks his lips as Kinn’s cock hardens.
“Don’t think that this is because of you.” Fuck, how am I mentally replacing Tawan with that stupidly attractive stupid human right now?
“I can take care of you Anakinn, help you relax…” Tawan slowly sinks down to his knees while he runs a hand softly down Kinn’s chest and stomach. The Alpha bites his lower lip in frustration; he doesn’t want this to happen, but fuck, the thought of that bronzed god of a human turns him on more than it should. His mind is so consumed by Porsche that he doesn’t even notice that Tawan has peeled off his towel.
He snaps out of his thoughts for a second to see Tawan sitting there wide eyed on his knees. “You really should just leave.” Kinn goes to grab him to pull him up, but the Omega pushes his hands away, his head leaning forward as takes his cock into his mouth. The Alpha feels torn. He’s angry, confused, and hot for someone who isn’t worthy to be his mate. The thought of a human being by his side makes his stomach turn. So, he decides to push Porsche out of his thoughts with this easy to have distraction in front of him.
Tawan swiftly takes Kinn down to the back of his throat as his lips stretch around his cock. He gives it a hard suck as he withdrawals back and lets Kinn’s cock falls out of his mouth. “You can have this whenever you want it if you marry me, my Alpha.”
It sounds so wrong when the man on his knees calls Kinn his Alpha. Kinn hates the sound of it so much it just lets his mind go completely blank. Before he can even think the words to protest letting Tawan stay the Omega has his hands wrapped around Kinn’s cock and is stroking it roughly before placing it back into the heat of his mouth. Kinn grabs the back of his head as he slams his hips forward, making the Omega take his cock all the way down to the back of his throat. Tawan sucks hard and fast, barely ever gagging once, just letting Kinn’s cock slide down his tongue.
“Don’t think this means anything to me. You’re just another mouth to make my cock come.” Kinn doesn’t care if Tawan finishes for himself or not, this is not about pleasing him. He shoots hot white ropes of cum down the Omega’s throat as a small moan escape his lips. He lets go of the back of Tawan’s head and pushes him away. “You can leave now.”
The Omega stands up and wipes the corner of his lips. “You taste so good. I can only imagine how good you would feel deep inside of me. Would you please allow me take this to the bedroom so you can see what else I can do for you?”
Kinn’s face contorts at the thought, Tawan isn’t begging, he’s actually being polite. Kinn doesn’t want to feel any more conflicted than he already does about the things that have happened today. He shoves Tawan out of the bathroom and out the door. “I said leave. I’d never fuck you. I told you, you’re just a tool for me to use.”
“Kinn, I promise I can be a good mate for you. Please don’t be this way with me; let me show you that I am capable of loving you!”
“Capable of loving me? Please don’t bother to try, I’m not a man that believes in love.”
“Love doesn’t happen overnight, Kinn. It takes time, effort, trust and a lot of work, it’s not magical. Maybe we started off on the wrong foot.” The Omega’s scent softens and the green apples smell less tart and the cinnamon sweetens as they start to blend perfectly together.
Kinn knows that’s a sign of vulnerability, this change in Tawan’s scent, something he doesn’t feel often from the people around him. He takes a moment to calm himself down, releasing some of his own pheromones to help relax the Omega. No matter what, he was raised with good manners and hates to see an Omega in distress. “Sorry. It’s just… I have a lot weighing on my mind lately, especially today and I am not my normal self.”
“I understand. I think if anyone could understand it would be me. I’m the long-lost son of the Kittisawat pack who showed up out of seemingly nowhere. It’s been 28 years since I’ve seen them. I lived a really hard life, and had a really hard time finding my way back, but the worse part of it all… Is the fact that I had no idea if my parents were still out there looking for me, or if they would even want me back after all this time?” Tears start to fall down his cheeks and he struggles to wipe them away with the back of his shaking hands. “You have a lot going on. I shouldn’t burden you with my problems.”
“No, you’re right, you’re okay. I guess I should take into consideration that other people in this world have it far worse than I.” Kinn grabs a tissue and hands it to the Omega. “Listen, I’m not going to lie. I’m not necessarily fond of you and I am really not happy about this whole arranged marriage situation. Like I said earlier, my parents agreed to break this engagement off and would prefer me to be with my fated mate.” Kinn takes a deep breath and tightens his fists, his nails digging into the skin of his palm. “Maybe we can start over again. Maybe I judged you too superficially and looked too much into certain other things.”
“I’d like that. All I want is a chance for us to get to know one another, had I not been kidnapped, we at the very least would have grown up together and maybe would have even been good friends. There still could be at least that friendship in our future?” Tawan shines a beautiful smile at just the thought of them being friends and Kinn realizes he has just been a selfish bully over a kidnapped child…
“That’s… that’s fine. But you do have to go home now, this has been a very long day with many things to process, and I am very sorry... to have taken advantage of you… that way… earlier but I do really need to get up early tomorrow and handle some important work that cannot be delayed.”
“Okay.” Is all Tawan says before he gives Kinn a genuine smile and turns to leave the room.
Kinn walks over to his bed and curls up on it. He lays in fetal position and is not shaking a little, he is NOT. Why do Omegas have this way about them? He logically knows it’s because of their nature and of course they need to be protected, they keep the family lines going and of course their numbers are dwindling slightly and they are even more precious because of that but damn, he really gets just the strangest uggghhh feeling about Tawan. “What the fuck am I even doing?” He lies on his back and pulls the satin sheets over his body. His eyes are tired, but his mind is wide awake thinking about Porsche and wondering what the man is doing at this very moment. That’s when his phone lights up.
*Text conversation*
Tae: Hey, I went to go take my brother Tye some lunch at the hospital. So, I happened to walk by a room with an open door and saw Porsche inside. I think he’s been admitted into the hospital. He looked kind of pale. Not that you care but I thought you should know.
Kinn: Hospital? Bangkok Medical Center?
Tae: Yes. I saw his friend Jom outside in the waiting area and sparked up a conversation. He didn’t give me many details. He just said that he hurt his leg and lost some blood. He lost consciousness so they brought him here to get checked out. His parents are here too, they’re keeping everyone out of his room. It’s weird that they won’t allow ANY visitors in there, especially his best friends.
Kinn: Not my problem. I’m going to bed; I suggest you do the same. Good night.
Tae: He’s your fated mate, Kinn. Whether you like it or not, he’s meant for you. So why don’t you act like you care at least a little bit and get your ass over here tomorrow and pay him a visit, that he deserves.
Kinn: If it will shut you up then I will. Bye!
He turns his phone off and shuts his eyes. His Alpha desperately wants him to get up and check on his mate, right this instant. But he is just far too physically and mentally exhausted to even move a muscle. We’ll go in the morning he tells his inner Alpha. He doesn’t fall asleep as fast as he thought he would, he tosses and turns until he finally just passes out worrying over Porsches injury and what caused it. That night he dreams of Porsche. He tosses and turns as a film plays in his head like an old black and white reel to reel movie. Porsche is holding his hand, kissing him softly on the cheek as they sit on a blanket in the park. The human stands up and runs over towards a little girl as she calls for him “pa, pa, come see.” It’s perfect. He dreams for what feels like an eternity. He’s woken up by his phone alarm going off.
Beep- Beep- Beep… Sweat is dripping down his forehead and his breathing is heavy, but his heart heavier. Kinn places the palm of his hand on his chest as images of his dream flash through his mind. It felt all so real. He can still remember what the little girl looked like. She had olive skin, hair as dark as night, long with Shirley temple curls. Her eyes were big and brown, just like his. She wore jean shorts with unicorn prints on them, her shirt white with a small unicorn on the front. Her shoes lit up as she ran from Porsche, giggling and yelling “catch me pa.” Before his alarm woke him, the last thing he remembered was hearing a newborn cry, but he was unable to see where the cry came from. He feels a tear stream down his cheek, and he quickly wipes it away. His heart is heavy, he feels as if something is missing. Then, the anger, with the enormity of the deep loss settles in.
“What a fucking lie!” Kinn’s yells as he yanks the satin sheets off of him and gets out of bed. “Why the fuck are you dreaming of that disgusting piece of…”
“Kinn!” He hears his name being called along with loud repetitive knocks on his door. “It’s me, Tae. Get your ass up and ready. I’m taking you to see Porsche.”
“Why do you care if I see him?” The Alpha grits out.
“Because we all know you want to… Like, deep down inside. Besides, you know what they say. The longer you’re away from your fated mate, you become sick and Porsche is already injured enough to be in the hospital for a few days at least. So, I suggest you get your head out of your privileged ass and get dressed.”
Kinn doesn’t reply to that. He throws on grey slacks that hug his thighs and aren’t too flashy, a black fitted tee paired with black loafers. He brushes his teeth, and slicks back his dark locks with his signature bang hanging in the front and walks out of his bedroom door.
“You’re such a fucking nuisance.” Kinn doesn’t bother looking at Tae; he can feel the smart ass look on his friends face.
“Thank you, now let’s go.”
Tae drives them to the hospital; it was a blessedly short drive. The parking lot is full so he drops Kinn off in the front of the building so he can go up without waiting.
“Head inside first, I’ll go drop the car off at valet. Go check on your boy.”
“He’s not my boy. He means nothing to me.”
“Sure he doesn’t. Just be nice, will you? Maybe get him some flowers or something from the gift shop?”
Tae laughs and drives off, leaving a pissed off Kinn standing there like an upset child.
Kinn walks through the doors and heads to the information desk. Behind it sits an older lady who looks just about ready to retire.
“How can I help you young man?”
“I’m looking for a Porsche. Know what room he’s in?”
“One moment sweetie.” Her hands are old; the skin on her face has small wrinkles that remind him of his grandmother. She trembles as she struggles to stroke the keys on the keyboard.
“Porsche… P…O…R….”
Kinn is growing impatient, he feels like he was impatient with this day before he even woke up. He starts to tap his fingers quickly on the countertop. “P, O, R, S, C, H, E, Porsche.”
“I know young man. Please be patient with me, I’m not as young as I use to be. Time flies by too fast. Next thing you know, life has come and gone, and we’re left wondering if what we did with our time on this earth was even worth it.”
Her words run through Kinn’s mind and gets embedded somewhere important in his brain. “I am sorry, it’s just. I’m a little worried, is all.”
“You must care a lot about this Porsche.” She smiles. “Ah, here he is young man, he is in room 180 on the 15th floor.”
“Thank you.” He releases a soft scent to show his gratitude. He can see her little nose twitch in the cutest way and her smile becomes soft.
“You are a very good young man. You deserve a good mate, always remember that. Now, go off and see your friend.”
He gives her a deep Wai and proceeds to the elevators. When he gets to the 15th floor, he spots the small gift shop right in the front. Maybe get him some flowers or something from the gift shop, Tae’s voice repeats in his head.
“Fine.” He walks inside the shop and looks around. He walks by all the get-well cards and flowers. Those are typical gifts, and he isn’t a typical person. He makes his way to the glass case by the cash register and sees small trinkets made of glass. He finds one that is a pink, white and purple tulip. He’s not sure why that one catches his attention, but it does. He calls over to the associate and has him pull it out the case and put it in a small gift bag for him. He pays and before he walks out, he stops.
“Think my friend would like this one?” Kinn asks the employee nervously before he leaves the shop.
“It’s very unique and thoughtful. I think they’ll love it.”
While he’s heading to Porsches room, a slight smile forms on his face. Why do I even care if he likes this or not? He thinks to himself.
At the entrance to room 180 he can see a man and a woman standing outside the closed door like sentries. They look worn out, exhausted, and from the looks of them, they haven’t eaten in quite some time.
“Hello, I’m here to see Porsche.”
The woman looks at Kinn, her eyes are bloodshot red from exhaustion. “Who are you?”
“I’m… his friend. I came to see if he is ok.”
“I’ve never seen you before. I only know Jom and Tem.”
“Oh, well. We just started to get to know each other. I heard of his accident, and I wanted to give him my well wishes.” Kinn can feel the heat start to creep up his neck, a sign of his alphas frustration starting up, these humans just need to get the fuck out of his way. “Now if you would excuse me, I’d like to see him for just a few moments.”
“That won’t be necessary. He’s completely fine.” The man cuts in. “I can relay and message you have for him for you.”
Kinn can feel his Alpha start to get even more upset. Even with Kinn verbally and (trying to) mentally deny Porsche, his Alpha wants nothing more than to see him and make sure he’s ok. “I will only take but 5 minutes. I’ll make it quick.” He tries to calm himself down and realizes that his breathing has gotten a bit heavy, and it might scare them off. He settles himself down and puts on a fake smile. “Look, you both look like you could use a break. Why don’t you go grab something to eat really quick, drink something and come right back. I just want to see him, give him my gift and go.”
The pair sneaks a quick look at each other. “Honey, we haven’t eaten anything since yesterday morning. We can make it fast.” The woman says and her stomach growls right on cue.
“Ok. We will be right back. You can leave the moment we come back.”
Kinn nods and the couple walk off. He takes a deep breath and collects himself before he lightly knocks on the door and enters the room.
“Hello?” he calls out while he’s pushing the door as it opens. He walks further into the room and sees Porsche lying on the hospital bed with a bandages wrapped around his left leg. His inner Alpha worries, and Kinn immediately wants to soothe his mate. He has to work hard to fight his feelings and instincts.
“Oh, it’s you. How did you manage to get in here? My parents didn’t even allow Jom and Tem to come in.” Porsche crosses his arms and looks out of the small window to his left.
“When humans are deprived of food and sleep, they tend to become a little desperate. It was rather easy to convince your parents to let me in since they lacked both.”
“Well, you aren’t the one I want here, you weird psycho.”
And there it was, that damn attitude that drove Kinn nearly crazy. He wants to put Porsche in his place and make him bow down on his knees at Kinn’s feet, exactly where he belongs.
“I was forced to come here to make sure you’re ok.” Kinn bites back the urge to lash out. “I didn’t want to be here. Tae made me come.”
“Ah, there it is. I knew you didn’t actually want to see me. I’m a disgusting piece of trash, a human… You hate our kind and I hate you.”
“You hate wolves? You better watch your mouth!”
“I didn’t say I hate wolves. I said I hate you. I know quite a few wolves and they are nothing like you. They are good. You on the other hand, you act like a pissed off dog.”
“You watch your fucki-“
“Kinn!” Tae buds in. “I’m so sorry, Porsche. Kinn, this is no way to talk to a man who is trying to recuperate!” Tae’s eyes shoot daggers at Kinn, and if looks could kill… Kinn would be a goner.
“At least someone in here has manners. Hey Tae, how are you?” Porsche’s mood turns from sour to sweet in a snap. His eyes light up and his lips curl up into a smile.
“I’m fine. Enough about me, how are you? Is your leg ok?”
“It’s fine.” Porsche bends it a bit and winces. Kinn flinches and fights the urge to run to him and tuck a pillow underneath his leg. “I should be discharged in the next few of days hopefully. Doc said I’m healing faster than normal which is a good thing I guess.”
“When you get out, I will bring you some delicious food over to your place and help you with whatever you need.” Tae gleams. “But what on earth happened?”
“It was that day we ran into you hiking, I don’t really know how to explain it… my heart was racing, and there was this strange heat creeping all over my body like, from the inside out? I saw a bench in the distance and walked toward it. I was so filled with rage, I don’t even understand why or where it came from, I kicked the bench so hard that Jom and Tem said it flew a few feet away. Jom came running to me and said my leg was bleeding badly but I couldn’t understand anything he was saying, I just wanted to go home and shower more than anything, it was like the only thought in my head, heart racing, overbearing heat, rage, home, shower- like a mantra over and over. Then I realized I was going to pass out and I did and that’s all I remember, I’ve been here since. Later when Jom and Tem tell me the whole story they swear the stupid bench was bolted down, but they have always sworn I am some kind of super hero, they’re the best though.” Porsche laughs like he’s embarrassed and a little uncertain. Porsche looks up and smiles at the man. They barely even know each other yet he feels connected to Tae, as if they’ve known each other their whole lives. It’s a pull that he can’t deny, and it’s rare that Porsche feels that way for anyone. Jom and Tem were the only exceptions, and now Tae.
Kinn clears his throat, cutting into their conversation. He’s a tad jealous of their bond, but he won’t admit that. He doesn’t want to think about the day of the hike anyway. “I bought you a get-well gift. If you don’t like it, the receipt is in the bag, and you can return it.” Kinn places the bag onto Porsche’s lap and takes a small step back. “Actually, I really don’t care what you do with it.”
Porsche rolls his eyes and slowly opens the gift bag. His eyes soften when he sees the small glass trinket. He holds it up in the palm of his hand so he can get a closer look at the details.
“Tulips, I actually really love tulips. This is… thank you Kinn.” His smile is magnetic and lights up the whole room.
His inner alpha is satisfied hearing Porsche appreciate his gift, his chest puffing with pride. But as fast as his happiness comes, it also quickly goes as he remembers that Porsche is not of his kind.
“As I said earlier, do what you will with it. I have to go now, I have a date later tonight with Tawan, my fiancé.” He lies.
“Have fun on your date.” Porsche seems unfazed by his words, and that bothers him more than it should. “Oh, and Kinn, I wish you and your fiancé a happy life together. But please do tell him that I said you need to leave me alone and quit being a psycho stalker, I can’t imagine it would be good for your future together with him.”
Kinn grits his teeth, and he can feel his body go hot. Between trying not to blame himself for Porsche being hurt, for knowing that he antagonized Porsche on purpose but hates the responses he gets in return and for the impossible fact that somehow his fated mate is a fucking human, before he even realizes what he is doing, his pheromones start to seep so strongly from his skin that Tae immediately grows weak from how intense it is.
“Kinn, s-stop…” Tae pleads.
Kinn is too pissed from the entire week’s events and all the swirling thoughts in his beleaguered mind to notice his friend’s plea. Porsche looks over at his friend and realizes something is wrong. Him being human, Kinn’s pheromones don’t have the same effect on him.
“Kinn, I think there’s something wrong with Tae.” Porsche looks back and forth between the two, Tae is on the ground kneeling on the floor. When Porsche realizes that he can’t get Kinn’s attention. He slowly stands up, hissing as pain shoots up his left leg. He walks in front of Kinn and snaps his fingers in front of the man’s face. “Hey man, stop whatever it is that you’re doing!” Kinn is so checked out, his shoulders quickly rise and fall. Porsche can hear how heavy he’s breathing and feel how angry he is. For some reason, his instincts tell him he needs to calm the man down. He places a gentle hand on his cheek and softly strokes the side of his face as he locks eyes with the Alpha.
“Hey Kinn look at me, I need you to hear me, to be here with me, please calm down.”
Kinn’s breathing starts to slow down. Without realizing it, he has placed his hand on top of Porsche’s. His alpha is preening at the touch and Kinn suddenly leans in to the crook of Porches neck and takes a long deep breath. There is the tiniest spark of something there, the smallest hint of flavor that sets his alpha pacing like he is trapped in a too small cage. He takes another deep breath and lets out a soft sigh, which causes Porsche to clear his throat as though he is asking a timid question. Kinn wants to put his other arm around Porsche when his mind awakens to where they are in this moment. His anger has completely faded and he can now clearly see his best friend on the floor struggling to breath. “Shit! Tae.” Kinn runs and helps him stand up.
“You… asshat. You could have killed me. What did you get so damn angry for?” He’s weak, and his knees keep buckling like a newborn fawn.
“I’m sorry.” He says, not even looking at Tae, but at Porsche. “We will be leaving now.”
“Yeah, I know. You have plans for later tonight. Tae, I’ll text you later to check up on you.”
“You’re the sweetest Porsche, please just focus on getting yourself better.” Tae chuckles and then looks darkly to Kinn, “we won’t be telling Time about this; he’ll kick your ass for sure Kinn.”
“It won’t happen again.” Kinn hangs his head, showing the correct amount of guilt.
They are walking down the hall and Tae starts to question what on earth set Kinn off like that, while Kinn is quick to anger, to get him to that level is not that easy. But then they spot Porsche’s parents intently and quietly talking to his doctor in the hallway, obviously not wanting to be overheard. As they walk the two friends get closer, they can pick up a bit of their conversation.
“Doctor, he can’t know, no matter what, it will ruin his entire life.” Porches mother seems to be saying.
“But he can’t take those meds while he’s here. They are contraindicated with the painkillers, mixing the two could have fatal results.”
They notice Kinn and Tae and quickly end their conversation.
“We just wanted to let you both know that we are leaving. We truly hope Porsche recovers soon.” Kinn and Tae give them a Wai and leave. Kinn gives a glance back at the parents and the doctor as they continue to talk. His gut feelings (and his alpha) are telling him something is very wrong here. But Porsche and his life are none of his concern. He will stay out of whatever it is and move on with his life… Possibly with the Omega he’s engaged to, or someone else entirely. He tells himself repeatedly it has to be absolutely anyone but Porsche.

Chapter 5: Falling Apart
Summary:
Porsche is a naughty boy in this chapter... that's all.
Notes:
Sorry this has taken so long. With my car accident, being in pain, going to therapy after work... It's given me 0 time to write. And when I do have time, I'm exhausted. I did get shots in my back today though that I hope will help. My last day of physical therapy is Monday! I should get back on track again.
(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)
Chapter Text
Falling Apart
Porsche
a crystalline spider web raindrops hanging low
in the dark depth of this night, languid, misty, so full of life
just waiting to explode or be still forever
you’ve left me shaken, disturbed
wired and electric
captured in your breath I falter
trying to walk towards faith
fallen amongst these devils
dancing on their whims
am I delusional, are we the same
and though I feel like I’m suffering
I know that I am not
I can no longer recall what was lost
weary about desire and blame
tangled together on the dew-covered grass
everything looks as fragile as glass in the end
just like raindrops hung on a crystalline spider web
After Tae and Kinn leave, Porsche settles back into bed feeling as if he’d just run an entire marathon. He’s not sure if he wants to, or if he even can, comprehend what just took place. Instinctively, he reaches for the beautiful glass tulip and turns it over and over in his hand. What light is left of the setting sun brings the flower to life. He watches the colors deepen in some places and brighten in others. The texture in both smooth and sharp, reminding him of Kinn. There’s just something about the man that Porsche can’t and won’t, definitely will not, be putting his finger on. What the hell was that anyway?!?!? He’s starting to feel like his body is a cage. His skin is itching like after a sunburn has started to heal or like when he’s stood too close to a campfire. Just then, his parents returned to the room with both a look of concern on their faces and too many assurances on their lips. Porsche is too exhausted, his leg is in pain from being up and he asks for more medicine because he just wants to sleep, to put himself and all these maddening thoughts to rest.
Deep in the dark night, Porsche wakes and his only thought is hot, burning fire, heat. He feels consumed. Devoured. Covered in sweat, unsure of where he is. He grapples to find a tangible thought to hold on to. He blinks his eyes repeatedly to remove sweat, maybe tears? He feels so confused, everything is so damn white and sterile and ridiculously quiet. He needs to slow his breathing before he has a full-on panic attack, so he forces himself to rely on his taekwondo training to still his mind with his favorite meditative Buddhist breathing technique. As he inhales and expands his abdomen, he can feel his diaphragm move down and on the exhale his abdomen withdraws, and his diaphragm moves up. Just a few minutes in, his mind feels calm enough to recall that he is in the hospital, his leg is injured and that he is safe. He still feels hot from the inside out… and a bit aroused? He lets his mind drift and instantly he recalls standing in front of an angry Kinn, who seemingly instinctively calms at Porches touch and places a gentle hand on top of his own hand… Porsche shivers at the thought and realizes he’s rock hard at the images in his head.
His eyes flicker to the door of his room, the nurses have just finished their rounds, and he knows they shouldn’t be back again for another two hours. His large shaky hands slide underneath the cotton covers and make their way to his upper thighs. He squeezes his muscular thigh hard at the thought of Kinn’s angry expression that had been so close to his own face, he could almost taste the breath of the other man. Fuck… He gasps. The thoughts consuming him are really hard to shake. It almost feels as if he’s back in high school again, fantasizing about that hot quarterback he so badly wanted to fuck at least once before graduation. His fingers slowly trail back up to the waist band of his tighty whities and he uses both hands to pull them low enough for his erection to spring free. He wraps his hand around himself, gripping his cock tightly as he strokes himself up and down in a slow languid motion, mind consumed with thoughts of heat and Kinn. He can feel his precum building at the tip of his length, so he uses it as lube, smearing it all along his cock from base to tip. The power Kinn holds over him is now undeniable. He can’t get the man’s image out of his lust clouded head. He tosses his head back as his rhythm picks up, Kinn’s name slipping from between his lips that are parted and panting.
“Fuck… feels so good Kinn.” He lets out an almost maniacal laugh at how good it all feels. Yet, it isn’t enough. He grows frustrated when all his self-pleasure does is make him even more aroused than he’s ever been in his life. His skin feels like he’s sitting outside in the middle of afternoon fully exposed to the burning sun on the hottest day Bangkok has ever known. The sweat dripping down his body is starting to soak the sheets, but that doesn’t stop him from stroking his cock faster and faster. Suddenly, he feels a strange new sensation between his legs. He can feel how unbelievably soaked the sheets are right below his bottom. A viscous water-like fluid is leaking out of him, though he has no idea what’s going on, he doesn’t feel afraid, just curious. With his free hand, he reaches down and touches the thickish but watery like substance. When he brings his hand up to his face, the mysterious fluids are clear, almost watery with an egg white consistency. It stretches between his fingers and instead of being alarmed, he innately feels the need to finish himself off with it. He stops stroking his cock and reaches down to gather more of this odd new fluid he’s never produced in his life. When his fingertips touch near his hole, his whole-body reacts and lights up at the contact. He feels extremely sensitive in that area, something he’s never felt before and he can’t explain it. Something in his head tells him to touch himself there, and he doesn’t have the strength to fight it, he doesn’t actually want to fight it. A finger slips inside, and a moan rips out of his throat, with a very sharp and clear image of Kinn right along with it.
“Shit, holy fuck.” A rumble ripples through his chest in a way he doesn’t recognize. He starts to fuck his finger into himself, and those fluids continue to gush out of him. A second and third finger eventually join, and he forgets all about his neglected cock. His focus is now elsewhere, and he loses himself in fulfilling this new desire. His toes curl up as he moves his digits in and out as quickly as humanly possible, he can feel his orgasm building up so fast and he so badly wants to just let it all go. After a few more thrusts, along with insanely vivid fantasies of he and Kinn doing indescribable deeds, he comes so hard in his pajama pants with Kinn’s name spilling from his lips with the same intensity as he spilled his seed onto himself, that Porsche almost feels embarrassed. He’s panting and breathing heavily as he lays there, staring at the ceiling. What in the fuck just happened? After a long while he succeeds in calming himself down a bit, he stands up slowly from the bed and walks over to the sink. He washes his hands and changes out of his soiled hospital pajamas and into fresh ones. He also manages to find new bedding and changes those as well. When he climbs back into bed, he notices a slight smell emanating from himself, that’s different, he almost smells like a flower of some sort, definitely a floral scent of some sort mixed with something he can’t quite put a name to? He decides to shrug it off and chalks it up to the detergent the hospital uses on all their laundry and his pain meds. He tosses and turns for the rest of the night, wondering if the air conditioning is broken, he’s still so damn hot and with the thoughts of Kinn stuck in his mind keeping him fully aroused, he barely feels like he’s had any release at all despite knowing how intensely he recently did. He’s relieved by the distraction when his nurse walks in the room to do his rounds.
“You’re still awake, Porsche?”
“Yeah, I’m having a hard time sleeping.” He’s so thankful he wasn’t caught in his earlier activities.
“You are due for more pain medication now. I’ll go get them; they should also help you sleep.”
“Thank you, Nurse Calix.”
“You don’t need to thank me Porsche, I’m just doing my job, and it makes me happy to take care of you.” He winks at Porsche and before he walks completely out of the door to get the meds, he stops and turns around. “By the way, it will also make me happy if you just call me Calix.”
Porsche smiles as he watches the man walk out. He can’t lie, Calix is extremely attractive. He’s of a mixed race and very… pretty. Long light hair the same color as the inside of an almond. Lips the tone of a ripe peach just bitten into. The man’s skin is so radiant it almost glows with a vibrant freshness you rarely see on a person. Porsche is convinced that his skin would be sweet if he were lucky enough to be able lick it.
Porsche had recently found out Calix is actually an Omega. Some patients in his wing aren’t thrilled to have a wolf as their nurse but Porsche doesn’t mind it one bit. His parents had started to put up a fight about it, but Porsche cut that nonsense off real quick. This was a new era, and times were changing. The guy is a great nurse and is nice and was just as equally nice on the eyes (though he did not use that argument on his parents).
While waiting for his meds, it occurs to Porsche he really doesn’t know that much about Omegas. He had learned that they tend to prefer to be at home. They were maybe more maternal? He felt the information he had was unreliable at best though, humans didn’t always get the best resources to learn about wolves, but he wasn’t sure if it would be okay to just ask random questions either. Although Calix did seem really very kind. Since they’re supposedly less confrontational and he’s come across far less of them than alphas, he begins a comparative list in his mind about the observable empirically different behaviors between the two, alpha Kinn vs omega Calix.
One is an uptight asshole and beyond rough, while the other is nurturing and sweet, delicate even. That’s probably the most obvious difference between the two that he can list right off the cuff. As he is beginning to slip further into comparing the two, the unending heat flares up in him again. He clenches his bed sheets as pain starts to radiate intensely in his lower stomach. He lets out a low and long groan, trying not to frighten anyone that may possibly hear him. Just when he feels like he’s about to pass out, nurse Calix walks back in with his medications.
“Porsche!” He quickly darts over to him and places the medicine tray down by the bedside. “Are you alright? What’s wrong?”
“Hurts… It hurts so bad.” He grabs at his lower stomach and curls over on his side. His body naturally bends into fetal position and Porsche wishes the pain would just blow over, but it clearly has no intention to. He’s never experienced anything like this before.
“You look feverish, like you’re burning up. I’m going to check your temperature.” Calix gets his thermometer and slides it across Porsche’s forehead. It beeps as it reads his temp. “103.1 degrees. That’s 39.9 Celsius. Porsche, what has happened? How long have you been running a fever like this? You didn’t have a temperature earlier when I came on shift, and none were listed on your any of your reports since you’ve been here.” He reaches over and grabs his pain meds that are in a small clear cup and places it against Porsche’s lips. “Here, open your mouth for me and take these. It’s your pain meds and Tylenol. It will help with your fever and anything else that’s going on.”
“O- ok.” Porsche opens his mouth and Calix tilts the small cup and pours them in. He grabs his pitcher of water and pours some into a glass. Porsche grabs it with a shaky hand and drinks it down along with his medicine, he drinks two full glasses of water, hopefully helping them dissolve more quickly. “Thank you. You’ve been so very kind to me.” He lays back slowly and stares up at the ceiling, he wants to tell Calix this doesn’t feel like any fever he’s ever had, but maybe he’s just confused by the fever.
“You mustn’t thank me, this is my job, that I love doing. I’m here to care for my patients, especially you.” He smiles down at Porsche and takes away the thick covers plastered on top of him. “You look so miserable. It’s bad to be wrapped up in blankets like this while you’re having a fever.” He leaves only the thin white sheet on top of him and Porsche is already starting to feel a bit better. He watches Calix walk over to the sink and grab a fresh, small white towel and runs it underneath cool water and rings out the excess. “For your head. Let me help cool you down a bit.” He wipes Porsche forehead, the sides of his face, then his neck before refolding the towel and leaving it on his forehead. He then steps back, assessing his patient. “I’ll see if we can drop the temperature in your room a bit more, that should also help.”
After all the adjustments are made, Porsche is, in fact, feeling a bit better. His room and body were now nice and cool, the meds had all kicked in and he didn’t feel as restless. Calix did his final round before shift change and checked back in on him.
“Better?”
“So much better, thank you.”
“I have a question to ask you. You can say no if you’d like.”
“What is it?”
Calix looks at his feet, seemingly a bit nervous. He brushes his luscious hair back with his hand and finally just lets it out. “I was able to get approval to take you out for some fresh air tomorrow evening, as long as your condition is stable, when I return for my next shift. The doctor and physiotherapist said it would be good for you. Also, while we are out, they will come in and deep clean your room and a repair man will check the HVAC from inside the room. So… would you like to go have a smoothie with me at the cafe just outside the hospital?”
“A smoothie… with just us?”
“Yes, I mean… just so you can get out of the room for a little while and fill your lungs with fresh air that doesn’t smell like sterilized plastic and all things hospital related.” Calix giggles as he cups the back of his neck with his beautifully sculpted hand in such a delicately nervous gesture it gives a little tug in the pit of Porsches stomach.
“Sure, yes, that sounds really good.” Porsche can tell how nervous the nurse is. He’s cute like this. He’s sure that he’s not only asking him out for just a smoothie and fresh air, he’s blushing way too hard, it’s adorable. He also can’t help but to notice that his room suddenly smells like caramel and chocolate out of nowhere. It’s an enticingly delicious combination and somehow feels like a sign of encouragement. “You come in at 6pm right? I’ll look forward to seeing you then, nurse Calix.”
“Just Calix… Remember?” He teases as he leans against the door frame to Porsche’s room. “See you tomorrow at 6pm then. Wear something that isn’t hospital pajamas? Now get some really good sleep, Porsche, good night.”
Porsche smiles and pulls the sheet up to his neck to hide his smile which continues to grow even bigger. He watches as Calix waves goodbye and closes his door. For some reason Kinn comes back to the front of his mind again, ruining the bit of happiness he was just feeling. “No, just stop. You need to stop thinking about him, him and his damned fiancé. You’re going to go have a nice evening out with Calix and it will be great. What could possibly go wrong?”
With those last thoughts, his eyes finally grow heavy, and he falls into a deep sleep. Alas though, for what felt like the entirety of the night, he dreamt of the alpha, his alpha, and what beautiful dreams they were.

Chapter Text
Double Date
Kinn
Here stands a lonely heart
so long neglected
its beat irregular the blood thickened
it’s owner so tired he
stands there broken and alone
wonders where it all went wrong
what fear lead him so far gone
his hands shake as he searches
trembles in the wake of HIM
this brush with fire does not leave him unscathed
his whole being arcs towards those flames
and more than anything he wants to burn
It’s been two days since he last saw Porsche and that encounter didn’t end up going so well. Time didn’t let Kinn hear the end of it when he found out that he released pheromones strong enough to bring Tae to his knees, Tae ‘only gets on his knees for him’ he very concisely explained to Kinn at least a million times. But after a long discussion the friends made up and they were able to move on. Kinn thought maybe it would be better for everyone if there was a lot less Porsche in their lives and decided maybe it would be a good idea to stop leaving Tawan hanging so he texted him to set up a date.
*Text exchange*
Kinn: Hey, how are you?
Tawan: Better now that you reached out to me. I thought maybe you had forgotten all about me.
Kinn stared at his phone for a couple of minutes unsure how to respond.
Kinn: How could I forget the guy who barged into my parent’s home just to give me a blow job?
And there he is, the playboy he’s always been known as. He knows he doesn’t like Tawan in the sense that he’d actually want to date him. But he wants to try and see if maybe some feelings develop for the sake of his parents. He can tell how much the Omega already likes him, and it would be a shame to not give this a shot.
Tawan: That was nothing. Just wait to see what else I can do. *Wink emoji*
Kinn grins a little. He’s used to Omega’s trying their best to impress him. He’s had some that have literally knelt down before him, mouths wide open to use as he pleased, even two at once, on a few occasions.
Kinn: I’m sure. Let’s get together tomorrow evening, we can go to a little café near Samitivej Sukhumvit hospital. They have amazing coffee and even better smoothies. We can talk a bit, get to know each other or whatever.
Tawan winces at the whatever part. He gets the sense that Kinn isn’t all that into him, but he will make sure that changes. With a smile he replies.
Tawan: Sounds lovely. I will be ready at 6:30pm, will you be picking me up?
Kinn: I will meet you there, just in case I have to leave early due to work.
Tawan: Oh ok. See you then.
Kinn places his phone down on his desk and he begins to work through some emails. He stops when he realizes that he unconsciously chose a place close to the same hospital where Porsche is. He isn’t sure why he did it, it’s like a voice in his head whispered in his ear and planted the idea. His mind wanders off to Porsche, he wonders how he’s doing, if he’s pissed about how things ended yesterday. He picks up his phone and dials the hospital without a second thought, the Alpha in him is too demanding and needs to know if Porsche is all right.
*Phone call*
Receptionist: This is Lily, how can I help you?
Kinn: Hi umm, this is uhhh… this is Porsche’s frie- boyfriend. I wanted to check on how he is doing. Could you please give me a small update?
Lily: Boyfriend? Porsche hasn’t mentioned anything about a boyfriend. What’s your name? I’ll see if he added you on the list so we can release his medical information to you.
Kinn: My name is Kinn Theerapanyakul, my name is probably not on there but-
Lily: Mr. Theerapanyakul! Oh hello! How are you and your family? Oh, and thank you for being such generous donors to our hospital.
Kinn: We are fine thank you. So, could I just get a small update on Porsche?
Knowing that she can get fired for a HIPPA violation, she decides to give him an update anyways.
Lily: Porsche Pachara… Let me see. Ah ok, I found his file. He’s doing great, a lot better and his leg is healing nicely. A bit faster than normal, I must say. Hmm, let me check his labs. Oh, says here that his labs are normal as well which is a good sign. He is starting physical therapy tomorrow just to make sure his leg is completely fine before we discharge him in the next couple of days. He does have another note in his labs, let me check it out. Oh interesting…
Kinn: What is it?
Lily: It shows that he has elevated estrogen levels right now. I’m not sure how that’s possible, he’s obviously male. I know some people have conditions like that, but it shows that he’s been perfectly healthy in the past. I see notes from nurse Calix that he was running a high fever last night and had abdominal pain along with intense night sweats. Hmmm…
Kinn: Why? What does this even mean?
Lily: Not sure. The doctor’s notes are locked, I can’t retrieve them. Maybe when you come to visit your handsome boyfriend you can ask him. You are one lucky guy! Porsche is the sweetest and most charming man that I’ve seen at this hospital in a long time. All the nurses here love him. Actually, nurse Calix is taking him to the café across the street tomorrow. He was cleared up to go out and get some fresh air and Calix volunteered to take him. Isn’t that lovely?
Kinn grips his phone tightly as he feels his jaw start to clench.
Kinn: Yeah, sure… Ok, well thank you for the update. Have a nice day.
He hangs up the phone and he can feel his body heating up. He pissed- no, furious and he’s not sure why. What’s there to be angry about? Porsche is just a human nobody who he shouldn’t even be giving the time of day to. But here he is, feeling like he wants to jump out of his skin or go and rip this nurse Calix to shreds. The second option actually sounds better. He shoots off a text to Tae so he can go hang out with him and Time before he does something stupid like go visit Porsche and tell him not to go on that date or whatever the fuck it is. Hypocritical of him? Yeah, probably. But he can’t fathom the idea of Porsche being out with someone else. It takes a couple of minutes before Tae replies and thankfully, he says yes.
****
“Kinn, you can’t get mad at Porsche because the doctor told him to go out and get fresh air. You’re looking way too much into this.” Tae is rubbing his temples at this point. His best friend has been at his house for three hours now, sipping on his best bottle of wine he owns and is now a drunken mess.
“I’m not mad. Why would I be? Calix is taking him out and that’s that, it’s fine.” The wine slides down Kinn’s throat, he feels the effects of the alcohol heating up his cheeks.
Tae rolls his eyes; he’s so fed up and done with his drunk best friend. “He’s taking him out for fresh air. You know, the fresh air that the doctor wants him to have? It just so happens that there is a café across the street.”
“Like I said, it’s whatever. Anyways, I’m taking Tawan out for coffee tomorrow evening. I guess I’ll try and see what’s up with that.”
“Kinn, you can’t be serious???” Tae whips his head around to Time as if he’s expecting for him to chime in and agree. “Time, tell him he can’t be serious! Tawan is fucking trouble; I can feel it.”
“Maybe, maybe not. He actually showed up at my parent’s house last night and gave me a blow job. He was pretty good, not the best but alright I guess.” Kinn swirls the wine around his glass, staring at it as he questions his own life choices.
“A blow job??? Kinn, what in the actual fuck are you even doing? You’re the most confused man I’ve ever met.” Tae stands up and places his hands on his hips, shaking his head back and forth in disapproval. “And you have the nerve to be jealous about Porsche and nurse Calix after you had that vile man’s lips around your cock just last night. I’m going to bed, you can see yourself out whenever you’re done drowning your stupidity in alcohol.” He storms off without another word, but not without flipping the bird to Kinn before he heads upstairs.
“Dude, I have no advice for you. All I can really say is, whatever you choose to do we will be here for you. Maybe just me, Tae might take a while to forgive you if you choose Tawan.” Time laughs as he stands up and stretches. “It’s getting late, I’m going to go up and cuddle with my man, try to calm him down a bit. You good, do you need to crash here?”
“I’m good. One of my guards can take me home. I’ll head out too, I’m going to try and get some sleep after this long night and finally shutting my brain off.”
****
The following day arrives and Kinn is getting ready to head to the café. He wears a simple black fitted cotton shirt that clings to his muscular arms, black fitted jeans that hug his thighs, and simple black vans that he hardly ever wears. He figured he should be as casual as possible, no need to go all out just for a cup of coffee, or Tawan. He looks at his hair, unsure how to style it. He decides to leave it be, it’s thick and fluffy but he’s way too tired to fix it up like he usually does. He heads out to the café and spots Tawan already sitting at an outside table waiting for him.
“Kinn, hey! I didn’t want to order coffee without you, so I decided to wait.” Tawan wraps his arms around Kinn and pulls him into a hug. “You look adorable like this.”
“Thanks.” Is all Kinn says before he pushes Tawan off of him. “What kind of coffee do you like? I’ll go buy and be right back.”
“I’ll have whatever you’re having, I’m not picky.”
Kinn stares at the man as he smiles so widely it makes him feel slightly uncomfortable. He usually gets the ick when a man has that I like whatever you like attitude. He’s also a bit too chipper for his personal taste but he chooses to ignore it. “Sure, be right back.”
He orders two cups of coffee with one sugar cube and caramel drizzle on top. As he walks back to the table, he sees him… Porsche. He’s wearing a tight white almost see through tee shirt and the most scandalously small red shorts Kinn has ever seen his life! He’s being pushed in a wheelchair by some idiot that is clearly way too happy to be with Porsche. Kinn sets down their coffee with a tad bit of aggression while he stares at the two now conversing at a table Calix just pulled them up to. Tawan jumps a little but assumes Kinn’s nerves are frazzled from work problems.
“Wait here while I get our order.” Kinn overhears the nurse say.
“Sure thing. It’s not like I can run off anywhere.” Porsche laughs as he tilts his head back ever so slightly. Kinn’s blood boils a bit seeing how giddy he’s being with that fool.
“So Kinn, how was your day? You have a lot going on at the office?”
“No, not really.” Kinn responds, but he’s still not looking at Tawan.
“Hey, you alright?” Tawan leans over a bit to get into Kinn’s line of sight. “You seem distracted, is everything okay? If you need to talk to me about anything I am a very good listener.”
“I’m fine.” Kinn sips his coffee, he’s trying his hardest not to look their way again but it’s hard when he sees that nurse walk back to the table, and he definitely doesn’t miss the way Porsche lights up. After a few minutes of short, barely passable conversation with Tawan, he sees Porsche wheeling himself to the bathroom.
“I’ll be back. I need to take a piss.”
“Oh, uh… ok.” Calix isn’t sure how to respond to Porsche’s straightforwardness.
“Be back in a few.” Kinn stands up and quickly walks towards Porsche who is trying to open the bathroom door.
“Damn it, this is so fucking annoying. I can’t wait to be able to get out of this damn wheelchair.” Porsche has always hated feeling helpless. Then, the door opens and without looking he says thank you.
“You’re welcome.”
Porsche freezes when he hears that entirely too familiar voice.
“Even with a fucked-up leg you’re still out here flirting with other men. Your nurse no less.” Kinn grips the handles on the wheelchair and forces the man inside, locking the door behind them.
“Kinn, what the hell are you doing??? What is wrong with you, why are you even here?”
Kinn doesn’t respond, he locks Porsche’s wheelchair and grabs him by his upper arms and pulls him up and out of his wheelchair. “You humans are such trash. Always thinking you’re so superior.”
“What is your problem???” Porsche winces at the pain in his leg. If he wasn’t hurting, he would have knocked Kinn out right about now. “I’m here just trying to have a damn smoothie and get fresh air, at my doctor's orders. Calix brought me here so I wouldn’t be cooped up in my room and stressed out. Yet here I am, stressing the fuck out again because of you!”
Kinn angrily stares at him, hating how informal he is with the nurse. “Are you fucking him now or what? He’s your nurse, why call him by his first name so casually?”
“Who the fuck do you think you are!? Why is it any of your business what I’m doing or who I am with?” Porsche can feel his whole body heating up, he’s angry… so damn angry but can’t do much to get out of Kinn’s grip. He can feel his body start to tremble slightly; his heart rate accelerating.
“You’re right, it’s none of my damn business.” He snakes an arm around the small of Porshe’s lower back and pulls him in closer to his body. Those sinful red shorts are making his head spin. He isn’t sure if it’s in his head, but he swears he heard the smallest whimper from his mate. “I don’t know what the hell I’m even doing right now.” Kinn is confused by his own actions, and it shows on his face, especially with his cute bushy eyebrows tilting at odd angles. (Porsche doesn’t know what to think of Kinn’s face at this moment, he’s so angry, overheated, slightly aroused and now also very confused). Why did he follow Porsche to the bathroom? Why is he so angry?
Kinns thoughts are shut off when he starts to smell an odd scent. It’s kind of sour, and a bit tart? He isn’t sure. He looks around to see if anyone else is in the bathroom with them but no one else is here. He can see how fast Porsche is breathing, his chest rising and falling rapidly. He can feel the astounding heat of his skin under his hands. Nothing makes sense right now.
“Let go of me. Or I’ll kick your ass even with this injured leg.”
“You don’t get to order me around.” Kinn pushes Porsche up against the wall, his grip tightening as he holds Porsche up. He can see how angry the man is getting. His eyes are filled with tears, and not the sad kind.
“Let me go, Kinn. I don’t know what the hell you want from me. You don’t even know what you want from me. You said I’m just a worthless human so why the fuck are you messing with me? Just leave me alone!” Porsche shouts as he tries to get out of Kinn’s hold but to no avail.
“I just… I don’t fucking know!” And there it is again. That strange scent… He looks at Porsche and a weird thought crosses his mind. He lowers his face into the crook of Porsche’s neck and inhales deeply. It’s him, it’s coming from him. He can feel Porsche’s body start to relax as he continues to scent the man. The smell turns from sour and tart to something floral like again but mixed with apple. Not a nauseating green apple like Tawan’s, but red. A bright red juicy, sweet apple. Kinn can feel his wolf start to go wild inside him, the urge to bite down on this human’s neck starts to become so incredibly enticing to him.
“Kinn… Please. My leg, you’re hurting me.” Porsche tries his best to snap Kinn out of whatever trance he’s in. Without knowing, Kinn’s leg is pinning Porsche’s injured one and the pain is so sharp it’s excruciating. “Kinn, please stop. It hurts so much.” Porsche is hardly a crier, but the pain is getting worse, and he can feel hot tears start to stream down his face. The pain he feels makes him feel so sad and desperate inside, and he can feel his body creating something he’s unfamiliar with. The smell of wet tree bark mixed with dead flowers starts to fill the room. He can see Kinn start to react to it, and he’s unsure where this scent is coming from. Then, he gets a whiff of something odd himself, raspberry maybe? He takes a deep breath against Kinn’s neck and catches a hint of violet and black pepper infused with that raspberry scent and it’s so damn intoxicating. Confusion mixed with pain, anger, arousal, and even fear take a toll on him, and he ends up passing out as he’s pinned to the wall. His body goes limp and Kinn is unable to hold up his sudden dead weight. He falls to the floor; a loud thud captures the attention of the customers outside.
“Porsche” Kinn falls to his knees, the smell in the bathroom is like stringent ammonia to his nose, it hurts him. He fights with his panicked wolf whose senses have gone wild due to the sudden change in atmosphere and when Kinn comes back to his own senses, he realizes that Porsche is lying on the bathroom floor and is unresponsive. “Porsche!!! I’m so sorry, Porsche, wake up!” He grabs him and cradles him in his arms. “Help, someone help!” He screams. Just then, the bathroom door is forced open, and Calix is standing there, anger is plastered across that handsome face of his.
“What did you do to him???” Calix rushes over and grabs Porsche out of Kinn’s arms. “I need to get him back to the hospital now! His leg is bleeding.” He lowers his ear to Porsche’s mouth to check his breathing and simultaneously checks for a pulse. “His breathing is way too fast, and his pulse is through the roof. What the hell happened in here?” He glares at Kinn, the Omega in him is the only thing that keeps himself from clawing Kinn’s eyes out. I must help and protect Porsche. I must take care of him. That’s the only thought going on through the Omega nurse’s mind. “I don’t fucking like you Alpha. But I need help getting him back in his wheelchair so I can take him back to the hospital.” Kinn nods and they both carefully lift him up and gently place him down on the wheelchair. Kinn goes to grab the handles only for Calix to shove him aside and he grabs the handles to the chair instead. “You’ve done enough to this poor soul. Leave him the hell alone or even I’ll manage to kick your ass myself.”
“I didn’t mean to… Porsche, I’m sorry.” Kinn is so worried that he didn’t even get upset at Calix’s threat. He’s so mad at himself for letting this happen. He hates how when he’s near Porsche, he loses all his senses, his own mind even. He takes a couple of steps back when he smells burning coal coming from Calix, he instantly understands that the Omega is livid. He stands out the way and lets the nurse through and can only watch as he whisks him away to the hospital.
“Kinn, baby. What happened?” Tawan places a hand on his shoulder, and instead of feeling comfort it feels like a knife just pierced his skin. “Kinn? Everything ok?”
“I’m fine. Let’s just go.” He walks past Tawan without sparing him a glance and gets in his car. Tawan catches up and jumps in the passenger side, unwilling to let the night end like this.
“Did those two guys from the bathroom bother you? Want me to go teach them a lesson?” Tawan places his hand on Kinn’s upper thigh and squeezes it. He starts to trail up a bit higher when Kinn stops him.
“You will not touch Porsche, ever.” Kinn can feel his skin growing hot, a sensation that he hasn’t felt since the day he caught a rival gang trying to kill his mother. Black pepper mixed with a hint of gasoline starts to fill up the car. Tawan starts to gasp for air, his eyes sting from the potent aroma. When he tries to roll down the window, he realizes that Kinn has locked it. “If you so much look at Porsche the wrong way, I won’t hesitate to snap your fucking neck, understand?”
“K-inn…. Stop. I can’t- I… can’t breathe.” He wraps his hands around his throat, it feels as if his airway is being crushed. The more he tries to inhale, the more Kinn’s scent penetrates his lungs. The burn from it all is too much, he’s never encountered such a strong Alpha like this before. “I’ll leave him alone.” He manages to squeak out.
“Yes, you will.” And just like that, Kinn’s pheromones calm down and he presses the button on the driver side door to roll down Tawan’s window. The Omega sticks his head out and gasps for air. He’s coughing profusely while he’s trying to calm himself down. “Get out of my car and go home. I don’t want to see you again, got it? I tried to make this work. But you’re just not it for me, and you never will be.”
“Kinn! I’m a Kittisawat damn it! I am the perfect mate for you, Kinn. You’ll never find anyone else like me, ever!” Tawan slams the car door as he exits and stomps back to his vehicle. Kinn rubs his temples as he feels a headache coming on. He leans his head back into the headrest of his seat and shuts his eyes.
“What have you done Kinn?” he asks himself. When he opens his eyes, he glances over at the hospital across the street. The Alpha in him is unsettled and wants so badly to go over there and make sure Porsche is ok, to fix all of this. He pulls out his phone and calls his parents.
Korn: Hello, son. How are you?
Kinn: Pa, I fucked up. I…. It’s my mate.
Korn puts the phone on speaker so his wife can hear as well.
Korn: What happened? What do you mean? What happened to your mate?
Kinn: I wasn’t thinking straight. I hurt him, Pa. I saw him at a café with another guy and I lost it.
Korn: You normally don’t even go to cafés, son. What were you doing at one?
Kinn: I- I brought Tawan for some coffee; I was trying to give him a chance. But then I saw Porsche there with one of the nurses and I lost it.
Mrs. Theerapanyakul: Hey, my sweetheart, it’s mom. So you mean to tell me that you went on a coffee date and saw Porsche sitting down with someone from the hospital nursing staff, who by the way, is just being professional and you got jealous and threw a fit over it?
Kinn can feel her anger through the phone. He winces at the tone of her voice like if she’s putting a child in the corner for misbehaving.
Kinn: Hi mama. Uhhh, yeah… basically. I didn’t mean to, I swear. I would never want to hurt my mate intentionally. I feel like complete shit right now.
He wasn’t lying. The guilt was eating away at him so badly that he felt his body starting to shake more and more as his headache grew even worse. His vision was starting to go blurry, and his breathing was becoming labored.
Kinn: I don’t feel so good.
Korn: Son, where are you? You don’t sound so good either. Mom and I will come over right this second and get you.
Kinn: I’m sitting in my car right still in front of the café across from the hospital.
Korn: Try to stay awake, son! We are calling the hospital right now to let them know to get you. We will be there as soon as we can!
Mr. Korn hangs up and notifies the hospital. They assure him that they will send medical staff to get him immediately. He and his wife quickly get dressed and rush to the hospital. After a few minutes Kinn can hear his car door being opened. He hears muffled voices that are asking him questions, but he can’t make out the words. Everything around him feels distant, like it’s at the other end of a tunnel.
“Head…. Head hurts.” Is all he can get out before he vomits on himself.
“Get him onto the stretcher quickly!” A nurse yells. “Page the doctor that we are on the way with Mr. Kinn Theerapanyakul. Stay with me, Khun Kinn.” They rush him across the street and straight into the back entrance of the hospital. When they arrive at the VIP wing, the doctor is already awaiting his arrival.
“What happened?” Dr. Hussein asks as he walks with the staff into Kinn’s room.
“Mr. and Mrs. Theerapanyakul called us and notified us of what’s going on. Khun Kinn met his fated mate; he saw him with nurse Calix at the café across the street and lost it. He accidentally hurt his mate’s leg more than it already was and now he’s in this state. That’s the summary of it.”
“You mean Porsche? The patient we have on the second floor? I approved for him to go get fresh air with nurse Calix. That poor boy needed it. He’s Kinn’s fated mate? This is a mess. I know exactly what’s wrong with our Kinn here.” He leans down and opens one of Kinn’s eyes and checks it to make sure it’s dilating properly. “He will be fine. We need to get Porsche up here asap and put them in the same room.”
“Dr. Hussein are we allowed to do that?” a nurse asks.
“If we don’t want Porsche or Kinn to die then yes, we are allowed to do that.” Dr. Hussein checks the monitor and shakes his head side to side. “Kinn’s vitals are not good. Give him something for that headache and get Porsche in this room stat. When an alpha hurts his fated mate, it can be catastrophic. He will continue to get worse if he isn’t near Porsche. Same for that poor boy, his leg won’t heal properly when he’s upset at his alpha. He will be in pain much longer than needed, or worse, it simply won’t heal at all.”
“We will make the call right now.” The nurse pages the second-floor nurses’ station and relays the message. Nurse Calix is fuming when he gets the orders and volunteers to take Porsche himself to make sure he’s ok. He pushes the rolling bed with a sleeping Porsche on it to the VIP wing. The nurses on that floor take over and push him inside Kinn’s room. Calix is moved to the VIP floor for the remainder of Porsche’s hospital stay, an order from Dr. Hussein that he’s grateful for.
Kinn’s parents arrive at the hospital and Dr. Hussein immediately updates them on Kinn’s current situation. He lets them know that he indeed did find his fated mate and that’s the cause of all this current chaos. They are stunned when they hear that they are bringing Porsche up to his room so they can heal quicker.
“Will my son be, ok? Are we really sure this Porsche fellow is his fated mate?” Mr. Korn is asking all the right questions, as he should considering his son is a well-sought out Alpha that many Omega’s try getting their hands on.
“I assure you Mr. Theerapanyakul, Porsche is 100% his fated mate. Kinn would not be in this current medical condition if he wasn’t.” Dr. Hussein gestures for them to enter their son's room so they can see for themselves. “He’s ok now, his vitals are much better since we’ve brought Porsche here. Same goes for him, Porsche’s vitals are steady which is a great sign. Why don’t you both go over there and see him since he’s asleep.”
The Theerpanyakuls walk over to Porsche’s bedside and Mrs. Theerapanyakul lets out a small gasp. “This boy looks so familiar doesn’t he sweetheart?” She turns to Korn with an intrigued look.
“He does look quite familiar. He looks a lot like the Kittisawats doesn’t he?”
“Yes, yes, he does. Honey, I know we shouldn’t pry but…”
“Yes, we should.” After all these years of being married they can read each other's minds and finish each other's sentences. “Let me talk to Dr. Hussein so I can find out more about this young man.” He touches his wife’s shoulder and exits the room quietly, so he doesn’t wake them.
“Dear Porsche” Mrs. Theerapanyakul whispers ever so softly as she brushes his hair away from his face. “If you are who we think you are, we will all be so happy to finally meet you.” She looks up to the doorway when she hears a strange sound and barely sees someone quickly move away.
“I’m going to check on Porsche one more time before my shift is over.” Calix enters the room and sees a sweet older woman, he Wai’s quickly as they pass each other. He checks all of Porsche’s vitals as he glances over at Kinn and curses under his breath. He can’t help but to hate the Alpha that hurt Porsche, who he now counts as a friend. Something about Porsche makes him want to protect him. When all is good, he leaves satisfied that he’s comfortable and no longer in pain. For the remainder of the night Kinn and Porsche sleep as they both slowly recover from this evening’s incident. After a long night, morning arrives and the sun peeks into the room. They both stretch and rub their eyes. Porsche takes a minute before he realizes that he’s in a different room than before.
“What‘s going on? Where am I?”
“Porsche?” Kinn isn’t sure if he’s dreaming, hallucinating or whatever. But that sure does look and sound like Porsche in the bed next to him.
“Kinn??? Oh fuck no!!! NURSE!!!!!” Porsche screams.

Chapter Text
A glimpse of life
With the fullness of flesh
and the weight of your heft
I am devoured
Your tongue licks like flames
scorched soul, bound heart, desire and pain
I wrapped around you, you wrapped around me
An ouroboros of hope and dream
The night veil descends in heavenly sighs
and all who do see us will envy our lives
Porsche
“This has to be some sort of nightmare.” Porsche sits up in his bed, wishing that this is all some sort of fucked up dream. He pinches himself hard and he instantly realizes that this in fact isn’t a dream, this nightmare is reality. He yelps, and kind of pathetically at that. So now he’s angry and he’s also embarrassed. “Why in the world would they bring me in here with the likes of you.”
“You think I want to be in here with you?” Kinn is also sitting up now, wagging his finger around like a mother getting after her child. “Being around assholes like you really pisses me off to no end!” Kinn shouts.
Porsche’s lips turn up into small grin, and Kinn just knows he’s going to say something slick. “Then either one, you hate being around yourself… Or two, you must not get much ass.” Porsche feels proud of himself, his comebacks always cut people sharp as a knife.
“Oh fuck this.” Kinn presses the call button and waits for the nurse’s station to pick up.
“Hello, this is nurse Shay. What can I help you with Mr. Theerapanyakul?”
“I need for my intrusive roommate to be moved out to another room as soon as possible.” Kinn is seething, so much that his heartbeat can be seen spiking on the monitor.
“Calm down before you have a heart attack or a brain aneurism you old ass man.” Porsche lays back again and stares up at the ceiling that has a ridiculously large and very unnecessary crystal chandelier. “Fucking rich fools. What a waste of money.”
“Don’t tell me to calm down.” Kinn grits through his teeth.
“Oh I’m sorry Mr. Theerapanyakul, but I can’t move Porsche from your room. He’s in there under doctor’s orders. My hands are tied.”
“Doctors orders my ass. Move him out of here immediately!”
“No can do, sir. It’s not only the doctor’s orders, but your parents as well. We will be there in ten minutes to administer your pain meds, hang tight sir.”
“Wait!-“ Kinn slaps his hand to his face and slowly glides it down. “Parents orders???”
“Let your parents know that I don’t want to be in here with you either. Who the hell has that much power to dictate what room I have be in?” Porsche crosses his arms, Kinn glances over at the man and for a split second he can’t help but notice the cute little pout on his face. Kinn looks away before the younger notices him staring.
“Trust me…” Kinn rolls over to face away from his current annoyance. “When they get here that will be the first thing I will request.” They both hear a knock at the door and nurse Shay walks in with their medications.
“Khun Kinn, Khun Porsche, it’s time for both of your meds.” She sets the tray down next to Kinn’s bedside table and pours a glass of water for each of them. “These will help with the pain you’re both experiencing. Dr. Hussein said that it’s important to take these for your pain management. I think in a few more days both of you young gentlemen will be as good as new and discharged.” She hands them their meds; they both pop the pills into their mouth and grab their waters to wash them down with. “Good boys, your parents will be glad to hear that you’re cooperating Khun Kinn.” She quickly takes both of their vitals and leaves to go chart them.
The medication starts to kick in for the both of them. Porsche no longer feels as on edge as he did earlier and is a little calmer about being in the presence of the biggest asshole he has ever met in his life. “So…” Porsche says in a quiet and softer tone. “What even happened for you to end up in here? I passed out and don’t remember much after our civil run in inside the bathroom.” He chuckles, but Kinn doesn’t miss the sass behind it.
“I- I overreacted.” It’s Kinn’s turn to cross his arms and pout.
Porsche looks at him and notices those small whisky dimples on the sides of his mouth. Kiss them… Porsche swears he hears an almost separate voice in his head, must be the meds… that’s right, just the meds! “Overreaction is an understatement. Why did you even go all hulk back there? I was let out of this prison to get some fresh air instead of being all cooped up in here.”
“I’m sorry.” Kinn looks over at Porsche and for the first time the younger can see some actual sincerity in the depths of those dark eyes. “I can’t explain it. Something in me snapped, I was just so angry seeing you with Calix that I… I lost myself.” Fuck, this isn’t you. You hate humans!!! Kinn places his fingertips on his temples and rubs them. All of this is confusing as fuck; he isn’t sure where any of this is coming from. “Listen, Porsche. There’s something we need to talk about.”
“What’s that? Is whatever this is going to give me a piercing headache?”
“No! I mean, I don’t know. I’m not sure what to think about it or how it’s even possible honestly. You’re a human, I’m a wolf… It shouldn’t be a thing at all.”
“Just spill it out already and quit rambling on.”
Kinn takes a deep breath, the monitor spikes a bit, and Porsche takes notice of Kinn’s heartbeat accelerating. Something in him softens, seeing Kinn in distress like this makes his insides burn with the need to soothe the insufferable man.
“You see, wolves- we…” Kinn grabs his cup of water and takes another drink and a long deep breath before proceeding. “We have a thing where when we come across our fated mates, we can sense it. It’s like our whole existence no longer belongs to us anymore, but to them. Wolves are fated to other wolves, but it’s rare that we find them.”
Porsche sits straight up in his bed, Kinn’s words capturing all of his attention. “What does that have to do with me?”
“Porsche… The day we met back at that food truck. I felt that feeling with you. I’m not sure how or why. It shouldn’t be possible, but I believe you are my fated mate.” There is no deception behind Kinn’s eyes, and Porsche almost hates the fact that what he is saying is true.
“What??? That’s ridiculous” Porsche scoffs. “Are you fucking with me again just to piss me off?” He can feel his blood pressure rising, how dare this asshole lie to just to get a rise out of him. You felt it too, when you saw him, you felt like your soul gravitated towards him. Porsche freezes, there’s that inner voice again and he has no damn clue what’s going on. Truth be told, he did feel it too. When Kinn wrapped his hands around his throat that night when they got into that altercation, Porsche felt this strange and intense pull towards the older man. His whole body reacted to every single touch on his skin, like small shocks of pure energy. It was such an odd feeling; he couldn’t explain it. That same night when he was finally able to fall asleep, he dreamt of the man nonstop which was super fucking annoying.
"Believe me, I am aware of the situation. It is not my intention for you to be my fated mate; I believe our backgrounds are incompatible and I’m well… Too good for you." Kinn responds, his statement lacking any genuine hostility.
“Oh fuck off, will you? The only one who is too good for someone is me. You don’t deserve someone like me; I’m too damn amazing for the likes of you.” Something in Porsche’s chest tightened at the thought of Kinn thinking he isn’t good enough for him. But it shouldn’t matter, right? This idiotic man is nothing to him but a burden that landed him in the hospital to begin with.
“Whatever man.” Kinn chides. He feels a strong urge to stand up from his bed and comfort his upset fated mate but refuses to entertain the idea.
“You know, you’d be lucky to have someone like me! Blessed even. I’m one of a kind, anyone who has dated me has left me 5 stars!”
The thought of other people dating Porsche doesn’t sit right with Kinn’s inner wolf. The alpha can feel a deep rumble in his chest, the jealousy dying to rip out of his pale skin, and he has to fight it to keep it under check. “Yet you’re single. Unless you’re dating fuck face Calix.” Kinn has no idea why he’s acting like this towards that nurse, an omega no less.
“I’m single because I chose to be. I am too pretty, too appreciative of my freedom and I don’t particularly trust man or wolf. It’s easier to be alone, especially with the life that I’m living. I do have some medical issues, and I don’t want to have to explain all of that to someone and waste my time or theirs.” Porsche knows he’s rambling, he can feel the meds taking effect, his body becoming heavy and so are his eyes. “And you! You sure do judge a lot for a man who has never had to lift a finger in his life. You weren’t even fed with a silver spoon, more like gold.” He can feel his words slurring as sleepiness takes over his body. “Asshole…so spoiled” He drifts off into sleep, and as his eyes slowly blink open and shut a few times, he notices the wolf staring at him with what looks like soft and kind eyes. It must be the damn meds, yeah… that’s it.
Kinn’s meds aren’t as strong as Porsche’s. The human’s injuries are far more severe. His mate is fast asleep in his bed; his bangs are slightly covering those honey eyes and Kinn’s inner wolf feels so calm seeing how peaceful his mate is. Kinn hates that he has this unwanted soft spot for Porsche, it’s so cliche and everything he has always been against, having these feelings for a human. But it would be a big fat lie to say that Porsche isn’t beautiful. He knew from the first moment the brat landed his first punch to Kinn’s face back at the food truck, Porsche was a force to be reckoned with. You could say that when he got hit, he saw hearts instead of stars dancing around his head. For the first time in a long time, he falls asleep with someone in the same room as him and for some reason, it doesn’t bother him at all.
**
The faint rays of morning sunlight filter through the blinds, painting stripes across the hospital room. A gentle knock disrupts the quiet, followed by the door creaking open. The nurse steps in, balancing a tray of breakfast with practiced ease. The scent of warm food fills the air, immediately drawing Porsche to wakefulness and his eyes flutter open. A bright smile stretches across his face at the sight of the meal—eggs, toast, and a cup of orange juice—which looks more appealing than anything he’s seen in days. Kinn blinks awake, a little less enthusiastic, but he can’t help the small tug of amusement as Porsche sits up eagerly, anticipation brightening up his features.
The nurse carefully places the plates of food on their bedside tables. “Please have your meal, Khun Kinn and Khun Porsche. Proper nutrition supports a faster recovery.” She offers a polite smile before turning her attention to their medical charts. “According to the schedule, Porsche is due for physical therapy today. Nurse Calix will escort you to the PT wing in approximately one hour. Khun Kinn, there are no therapy orders for you at this time; however, the notes indicate you will accompany Khun Porsche during the session, as per the physician’s directive.” There is a faint professional smile as she concludes her review. Because of course she’s secretly rooting for Kinn and Porsche, but she can’t let anyone know that; she’s their RN for God’s sake.
She leaves, and the time passes quickly. Kinn sits with crossed arms, watching the door to their room.
“What’s wrong?” Porsche asks. “You keep looking at the door.”
“Why does Calix have to take you? Why not someone else?” Kinn replies, his hand clenched into a fist.
“If I didn’t know any better, I’d think you were jealous, Khun Kinn,” Porsche says with a smile. Kinn looks at him with what he hopes is a neutral expression but feels like cracking porcelain.
“I’m not jealous. I just don’t like him,” Kinn says. Before he can continue, there is a knock on the door and Calix enters.
“Porsche,” Calix says as he walks in, paying no attention to the other patient in the room. “How are you feeling?”
“I’m okay, just sore. I’m feeling better every day. Thanks, Calix.”
“You’re my patient— your progress matters to me. Ready for PT?” Porsche nods a yes and Calix helps him into a wheelchair. The nurse glances at a frustrated Kinn. “You can follow on foot—I only brought one wheelchair.” Calix wheels Porsche out, leaving Kinn to walk behind.
They arrive at the physical therapy department, where they are received by a courteous woman. “Good afternoon, Khun Porsche and Khun Kinn.” The woman Wai’s and offers them a warm smile. “My name is Belia,” she continues, turning to Porsche as she assists him and transfers him to a spacious chair. “I will be your physical therapist for the upcoming week.” After helping him settle, she evaluates his leg. “According to the records, the bones have healed well, so the primary goal is now to restore strength, correct?” she confirms with Nurse Calix.
"That is correct. He was instructed to share a room with Khun Kinn in order to facilitate his recovery, which likely explains why his bones are in good condition."
Kinn suppresses his irritation, maintaining his composure. He refrains from any impulsive actions, like releasing pheromones. "According to Dr. Hussein’s professional experience, fated mates must remain together for healing purposes. Porsche and I are fated mates. For this reason, we have been assigned to the same room, which is expected to help us both recover more quickly." He grins, staring right at Calix.
“Fated mates? Oh my! That’s exciting. It’s rare nowadays that someone meets their fated mate. Congratulations you two!” Belia gently pats Porsche’s hand as she stands up.
“He didn’t even tell you the best part of it all.” Porsche chimes in. “He’s a wolf, and I’m a human.”
Belia’s eyes widen as she glances at the two. “Really? How is that even possible?”
Kinn grits his teeth, that damn brat. “I don’t know. But for whatever reason the universe has decided to play an awful prank on me I suppose.” He leans against the wall behind him as Belia gently begins to bend Porsche’s leg.
"I apologize for my earlier comment, Khun Kinn and Khun Porsche. It was inappropriate for me to address matters outside my purview, and I sincerely regret any misunderstanding." She proceeds to gently manipulate his knee through its range of motion. "Your mobility is quite good. Let's complete three sets of ten repetitions, after which we'll finish the session for today. I need to assess your current range of motion in order to develop an effective recovery plan." With Calix's assistance, Porsche carefully completes the prescribed exercises as Belia monitors his progress. After thirty minutes, the session concludes, Porsche is transported back to his room.
“Thank you for taking me, Calix. I appreciate it.” Porsche is kind and always expresses gratitude to those who help him.
"Of course. Let's help you return to bed," Calix said, supporting Porsche as he assisted him to stand and ensured he was settled comfortably. Once Porsche is at ease, he is offered a polite wave in farewell.
“What, no help for me?” Kinn grins. “I thought the nurses here were supposed to be kind to all the patients.”
“You don’t need my help, Khun Kinn.” With that, Calix walks right out of the room without another word.
"Geez, what's with him?" Kinn scoffs, turning to Porsche and moving closer. He leans down and, to Porsche's surprise, actually sniffs him.
“Kinn, what the fuck are you doing?” Porsche tries to push the Alpha away but it’s no use, he’s too strong, and Porsches not fully recovered enough yet.
“You smell like him. I don’t like it.” Kinn leans down, placing his hands on both sides of Porsche so their faces are close. “I prefer you not to smell like another man, especially since we are connected, whether we agree with it or not.” Kinn moves closer, and Porsche notices his own heart rate increasing. “You are connected to me, Porsche. Even if I question the concept of fate and mates, it does not change our situation.” Internally, Kinn feels beyond compelled to remove the other man's scent from Porsche.
“So what, you’re going to smother me or something?” Porsche turns his head, not wanting their lips to be so damn close. Kinn grips the sides of his face and forces him to look back at him.
“You die; I die. Do you not know how fated mate’s work?” Kinn growls. The thought of Porsche dying unsettles him so much he briefly loses it. He looks down at his mate’s lips and his own quiver. Before he can second guess himself, he crashes their lips together and fuck if it doesn’t feel so good, so right.
Porsche instantly melts into the kiss. He shouldn’t like it, he should find Kinn repulsive. But he’d be lying if he didn’t say that it’s probably the best kiss he’s ever had. The zip of electricity that flows between them is out of this world. Before he knows it, moans fill the room, and he can’t tell if they’re coming from him or Kinn. It’s all happening way too fast, and he has no willpower to stop it. He pulls Kinn down closer, their clothed bodies flushed together.
“You’re mine, Porsche. My mate, mine.” Kinn carefully sets himself between his legs, making sure not to put any pressure on his mate’s injured leg. He can feel his cock growing harder as the kiss grows even deeper between them.
“We shouldn’t be doing this, Kinn. We- fuck…” Porsche’s words are cut off when Kinn bites down on his lower lip, pain followed by pleasure when the man sucks it in between his teeth to soothe it. “Kinn, we need to stop.” His mouth says one thing; his body is doing something else entirely. His hips are lifting up, making their cocks rub against each other in delicious friction.
“You feel so good beneath my fingertips.” Kinn is gripping that lithe waist, greedily mapping out the younger’s body. Then, he smells something again, something sweet that he can’t put his finger on.
“We have to stop.” Porsche is so damn turned on, and he hates himself for it. He hates himself because he loves the way Kinn’s lips feel against his. Then there’s that weird sensation between his legs, and it’s not his erection, but the other thing. He feels it again, a small gush coming out of his backside that he can’t explain.
Kinn massages that perfect ass of his mate with his hands, kneading him roughly and making the younger man squirm. When his fingertips touch something slick and extremely wet, he brings his digits to his face, and it looks awfully familiar. “Porsche? What… How?”
“I-I don’t know. I don’t even know what that is.” Porsche pushes Kinn off of him, scared of what is happening to him, to his body. “Please just leave me alone for a few minutes.” He looks down, ashamed for not knowing what’s going on with himself.
“Don’t be ashamed, Porsche. It’s nothing bad, it’s quite natural; it’s just something that doesn’t happen to humans.” Kinn refuses to leave his mate, not only because he is shocked, but he now wants more answers. “I’m not going anywhere.” He pulls him in and kisses Porsche again, this time lowering the human’s pants down to his ankles. “Just lay back and let me take care of you.”
Porsche hesitates momentarily before giving a slight nod, allowing Kinn to assume control of the situation. He simply responds with "Ok," prior to reclining back onto the bed.
"Something's happening, and I want answers—I know you do too, Porsche," Kinn places his hand on Porsche’s hips and gently pulls them together again until their bodies are flushed.
“I don’t want to talk about that right now.” Porsche knows there is something going on, but right now... He’d rather get out of his own head and lose himself in the hot and annoying man laying on top of him. But then something primal surges through him. He pushes Kinn off and stands next to the bed so fast Kinn barely has time to stand up right. He starts to kneel down and Kinn immediately tries to pull him back up.
“Porsche, what are you doing? Your leg!”
“I’ll be fine. Just let me do this.” Porsche starts to kneel again when Kinn’s facial expression changes into what looks like anger mixed with utter confusion.
“You’re going to hurt your leg even more. You can’t kneel on this hard floor, Porsche. I won’t let you.”
“Fine.”
He pushes Kinn back on the bed where he himself had just been and now lays curled up between Kinn’s legs.
“I won’t have to kneel now. Happy?”
“But-“
“Shut up, Kinn. You’re pissing me off and turning me off.” Porsche pulls Kinn’s sweatpants down along with his briefs. His hard and aching cock springs free and the cold hospital air makes him wince, he sure as hell could stand use some warmth.
“I’ve never sucked a cock before.” Porsche is staring at it, like it’s some foreign object as he holds Kinn’s dick in his hand. He gives it a few strokes and loves the way Kinn shudders underneath his touch. “So sensitive.”
“Well, I have one of the hottest and men I’ve ever seen in my life touching my cock. Of course I’m going to react this way.”
“And here you said you hate humans, Kinn.” Porsche leans down and ever so lightly sucks the tip of Kinn’s cock. The older man sucks in a breath and it’s taking everything in him to not to shove Porsche’s head down and fuck his throat. Then, Porsche stops just as fast as he started. “You’re going to have to bear with me. My mouth is a virgin for dick; you’re my test run.” With that, he glides his hot tongue down Kinn’s long and thick shaft until it meets his balls.
“Oh shit!” Kinn groans. He realizes that there are staff walking outside their room and slaps his hand over his mouth, this makes Porsche grin and want to try even harder.
“Oh, you are a sensitive one.” He sucks the head hard as he swirls his tongue around it, experimenting to see what makes Kinn’s toes curl. Bingo, because when he does that, he can taste precum on his tongue and the older starts squirming on the bed.
“Just like that. Don’t stop.” Kinn pants. He grabs Porsche’s hair as the man is sucking the soul out of him. At this point, he thinks Porsche is a liar due to how well he’s taking his cock in his mouth. A part of him thinks back of the night Tawan got down on his knees for him and let him fuck his throat, but this is so much better than that. This feels so right, in a world full of wrong. It’s like Porsche’s whole being belongs to Kinn and it lights his entire body on fire.
“Taste so good.” Porsche mumbles as he continues to bob his head up and down, up and down. His back is starting to ache from the strange half laying half leaning over position they’re in but there’s nothing in this world that could stop him right now. Kinn is panting so hard and the sounds he’s making are turning Porsche on even more. His own cock is so hard it hurts. With his free hand, he reaches into his pants and starts stroking himself as he continues to blow Kinn’s mind, and dick. The more Kinn moans, the more he feels accomplished. Nothing like making the man who you hate and who hates you moan your name over and over like a prayer to get the ego going.
“Porsche, fuck. You’re so damn good. I’m going to cum so hard in that bratty beautiful mouth of yours.” Nothing could have prepared Kinn for this. The way Porsche takes him in; his mouth is so soft, hot and wet it should be illegal. He’s had so many blow jobs before, but never mind the cake, this takes the whole fucking bakery. He looks down at Porsche, his cheeks are hollowing, and saliva is everywhere. He looks beautifully wrecked and Kinn now knows, he is so very fucked. He knows after this that it won’t be enough. He’s going to want more of him, so much more, there’s no going back. But before he can wallow anymore, he feels Porsche go all the way down until he bottoms out. Did he just deep throat him without gagging? Holy shit he’s so fucked!
Porsche pops off Kinn’s cock and spits on it and grabs it tightly before leaning back down and letting that tasty dick hit the back of his throat again. He’s pleased when he feels Kinn’s body jerk and the man has to put a pillow over his face to loudly moan into it. He picks up his rhythm, keeping a steady and brutal pace. He can feel Kinn’s cock twitch in his mouth and he knows he’s close. Hell, he’s close himself. As he continues to bob up and down, he can feel the strange liquid in his ass seep down his legs. He quickly reaches back and coats his hand with it and goes back to stroking himself. Kinn comes hard down his throat and Porsche can hear Kinn’s deep guttural moan. That makes him react and he comes right after, his spend shooting all over the sheets beneath him. When Kinn’s done, Porsche pulls off and sits up. He swallows every drop as he stares at Kinn who had removed the pillow from his face and looks like a complete disaster.
“I think… I think you just sucked my soul out of my body and swallowed it down whole.” He chuckles as he tries to catch his breath.
“I guess you don’t hate humans after all. I mean, you look like you just met your maker, what other wolf has ever done that for you?” Porsche wipes the sides of his lips and starts to untangle himself from Kinn. He lifts his body over Kinn’s leg and manages to stand upright next to the bed. Kinn hops off the bed and pulls up his own pants. They walk slowly to the ensuite restroom.
“You’re dripping. Here, let me help and clean you up.” He grabs a towel from the sink and kneels down right behind Porsche. He sees the slick liquid that ran down his legs and begins to wipe it up. When he gets to Porsches’ upper thigh, he stops. Without realizing he’s even moved, his tongue is on Porsche’s body and he’s licking the rest off. Porsche lets out a soft moan, he hadn’t expected this. “You taste so damn good, so sweet baby.” Kinn’s voice is raspy and Porsche notices that the man’s cock is starting to harden again.
“Kinn, what’s going on? Get it together.”
“Mmmm so addicting, Porsche.” Kinn quickly stands up and grabs Porsche by the waist and sets him down on top of the counter. He stands between Porsche’s legs and the younger can see a strange fire in his eyes.
“Kinn? Are you ok?” Kinn’s eyes are turning dark red and Kinn feels different more intense, the air in the room feels thick. “Kinn? Hey???” Porsche shakes him but it’s like he isn’t even there. Kinn starts to kiss and suck all over Porsche’s neck like a starved animal. He pulls Porsche to the edge of the counter until his ass is almost hanging off the edge and Kinn pushes his clothed cock against Porsche’s ass. “Kinn, stop! There’s something wrong with you!”
“Need you, now.” He grabs Porsche by the ass and squeezes it hard as he not only maul’s the youngers neck but also inhales Porsche’s scent deeply.
“You need to calm down!”
“Can’t…” Kinn rips off Porsche’s top as if it were a mere piece of rag. He leans down and sucks one of Porsche’s nipples into his mouth and bites down hard.
“Shit! Kinn that fucking hurts, stop!” Porsche frantically looks around for the call light button. He spots it and reaches over and presses it as fast as he can without Kinn noticing. There’s something wrong with him and Porsche has no idea what it is.
“I need to be inside of you.” Kinn starts to try to pull Porsche’s pants down and before he can, he feels hands on him, pulling him back. Kinn goes into a frenzy, kicking and fighting whoever it is.
“Khun Kinn, please calm down. You’re going into a premature rut, and we need to try to stop it.” The nurse calmly says as the other two male nurses hold on to the wild wolf. “This will help you calm down.” She takes a syringe and administers medication directly into his neck. Within seconds Kinn is calmer and his body starts to go limp. “Khun Porsche, are you ok?”
“Y-yes.” He slowly gets off the counter and the nurse hands him a new shirt. “Is he going to be ok?”
“Yes, Khun Porsche. Sometimes, certain things can trigger an Alpha’s rut. Did something happen that made him like this?”
I just sucked his cock, and he came down my throat. Porsche can’t tell them that though. So instead, he lies. “I don’t think so, not that I can think of. Just make sure you take care of him please.” He limps to his bed and lays down. They place Kinn in his bed and the nurse gives him another injection.
“This should do the trick. When he wakes up later, make sure to call us right away. You will be fine, Khun. He was given a strong dose of sleeping meds so he shouldn’t be up until tomorrow. Get some rest dear.”
“I- I will…” Porsche looks over to a sleeping Kinn and holy fuck, he almost got FUCKED. But the thing is? He wasn’t actually that terrified about it, there were just so many things going on he didn’t understand. He lays down, over thinking, for what feels like forever before he finally falls into a deep sleep too.
As morning breaks and sunlight streams through the windows, Porsche is the first to awaken. He is met by a man of similar age. "Who are you?" Porsche inquires, his voice marked by drowsiness as he rubs his eyes to adjust to the light.
"Good morning. You must be Porsche." The man greets him with a polite smile, yet Porsche experiences a subtle sense of discomfort.
“I am.” Porsche replies, his attention sharpening as the individual places a hand over Kinn’s and gently rubs it. His gaze goes back and forth to Kinn and the asshole who is just grinning at him.
“My manners are terrible, sorry about that. My name is Tawan, I’m Kinn’s fiancé.” Porsche’s face drops and he can feel bile rising from his stomach and into his throat.
“Fiancé? Kinn is engaged???”
"Our families arranged our marriage. I come from a reputable family, and the Theerapanyakuls want what they consider best for Kinn." Tawan gently kisses Kinn on the forehead as he sleeps and brushes his hand through Kinn's hair. "I will take care of him from this point forward."
Porsche contacts the nurse’s station, where Shay promptly responds, “Good morning. How may I assist you?”
“I need to- I need to get out of this room as soon as possible.” Porsche’s voice is trembling and the room seems like it’s spinning.
“I’m sorry, Khun Porsche. But you know I can’t defy doctors orde-” She cut off before she can finish that sentence.
“I don’t give a fuck about doctor’s orders. Remove me from here immediately before I remove myself.” Porsche’s voice is shaking as he holds back angry tears. “Now, Shay!”
“Yes sir, right away.” She quickly returns with a wheelchair and helps him in. Glancing at Tawan with irritation, she says, “I’ll be back to check on Khun Kinn. Visitors aren’t allowed per his parents’ orders. Please leave soon.” She avoids Tawan and wheels an angry and sobbing Porsche out.

Chapter Text
Pulling the Strings
here stands a lonely heart
so long neglected
its beat irregular the blood thickened
its owner so tired he
stands there broken and alone
wonders where it all went wrong
what fear lead him so far gone
his hands shake as he searches
trembles in the wake of him
this brush with fire does not leave him unscathed
his whole being arcs towards those flames
and he wants to burn more than anything
he’s ever wanted before
Kali
Kali is sitting in her living area as she reads the latest news article of all the bullshit politics taking place in Thailand. When she hears the front door to her home open, she sets her cup of tea down gently and awaits her son. He’s the only one that just waltzes in without knocking.
“Ma!” Tawan looks devastated. His eyes are puffy and red as if he’s been crying and his hands are trembling. “Kinn, he nearly killed me.” He cries as he drops to his knees in front of his mother seeking comfort.
She stares down at him with a blank expression on her face. “What did you do to make him angry, darling?” Her words are so cold and monotone that Tawan slowly looks up to see if he can catch any type of emotion. Her face is so blank it’s hard to believe she’s ever had an emotion in her entire life.
“I did what you told me to do. I made sure he knew that I would do anything for him. But he got so angry at me and nearly suffocated me with his pheromones. I thought I was going to die, ma. I couldn’t breathe and I was so scared.” Tawan starts to tear up again as he places his forehead back down on his mother’s knee. “Can you just hold me, ma?” He pleads.
Instead of affection she grabs him harshly by the back of his hair with such brutal force his head is yanked up to meet her cruel gaze. “Get it together, darling. Trivial matters such as this are what we must endure to get to the top. Being weak like your father is not going to get you anywhere. That’s why he was such an easy target for the Theerapanyakuls when they killed him. Be strong just like your mother and you will get us… I mean get you everything you desire. Power, money, and respect that’s needed to survive in this life. Forget love and compassion, they only gets you hurt.” She lets go of his hair and picks up her tea. “Remember this, Tawan. I sacrificed my own happiness to get us to where we are now. I even stayed friends with the same family that drove your father to his death so you wouldn’t have to live a helpless, pathetic life. We will unite our families through your and Kinn’s marriage and you will have a happy family.”
“But ma, I don’t want to do it anymore. I just want to live my own life and be with who actually truly makes me happy.” Tawan’s head is now throbbing; he can feel his emotions pouring out of him and he hates the disappointed look on his mother’s face.
Slap! Kali’s hand shakes from the sting of backhanding Tawan so hard that he fell back onto the cold hard floor. “You are such a disappointment, darling. You can’t even make your own mother happy, what makes you think that you deserve any love in your life? You are child with no father, a broken child that no one wants to help fix. I’m the only one that cares about you. I’ve bent over backwards to make sure you have everything your heart desires. You never went without anything and have always been wall taken care of. I love you, darling. I’m the only one who does.” She stands over him and he flinches when she reaches her hand out to help him stand back up. “I heard Kinn is in the hospital with that piece of trash. I want you to pay them a visit and take back what is rightfully yours.” A sinister smile spreads across Kali’s face as she strokes her son’s tear-streaked face.
Tawan
He remains in the room after Porsche leaves with nurse Shay. Internally, he acknowledges a sense of discomfort, recognizing that his actions align with how he has been conditioned throughout his life. He sits beside Kinn and observes him quietly. “You’ll likely be upset when you wake up. This situation isn’t preferable for me either. But in our world, sometimes our options are limited.” He places his hand on top of Kinn’s and gently rubs the alpha’s skin, waiting for him to wake up.
“P-Porsche?” Kinn groans as his sleepy lids slowly blink open. The alpha can feel warmth on his hand, but not the soothing kind. It feels as if fire is burning his skin in the worse way. When he fully comes to his senses, he sees Tawan sitting at his bed side. “What the fuck are you doing here?” He growls. He whips his head over to Porsche’s side of the room to see that his mate’s bed is empty and all of his things have been removed from the room. “Where the hell is Porsche!” Kinn yells.
“Please calm down, sweetie. I just came here to talk to you.” Tawan pats Kinn’s hand who immediately pulls it back to his own body. “Don’t make such a fuss. You’re going to make yourself sick again.”
“I thought I told you to stay the hell away from me and Porsche!” Kinn’s pheromones start to release rapidly, that strong pepper smell along with gasoline starts to slowly fill the room.
Tawan’s eyes widen as he quickly tries to deescalate the situation. “Stop! Let me explain. I promise after you hear what I have to say you can decide where we go from here. I’m not here to cause any more trouble, but I need to talk to you.”
Kinn usually has a good read on people, he can tell Tawan is being sincere with his words. So, he decides, at least for now, to calm down and hear this man out. “You have five minutes to explain yourself.”
Tawan inhales deeply as relief washes over him. “I- I don’t even know where to start.”
“At the beginning and you better make your point very quickly.”
“I’m not who you think I am, Kinn. I’ve been forced to be who my mother wants me to be… who she groomed me to be.”
“And what the hell is that supposed to mean?” Kinn grits out, growing frustrated.
“My mom, Kali. She is the one pushing me to marry you. I don’t fully know what all her motives are, but I do know it’s not just a power grab, this is starting to feel personal and not just about me.” He leans back in his chair and takes another deep, calming breath. “I’m tired, Kinn. I don’t want to live my life within the confines her demands anymore.” He stands up and walks towards the window and stares out at the city of Bangkok below. “I am not who she wants me to be, I don’t know if I’ve ever been wanted by her. I don’t think I’ve been such a terrible son. I’m not saying I’m perfect. I’ve done fucked up shit in my life to get to where I am. But this, this is a whole other level of fucked up.”
“What does this all even mean?” Kinn’s eyebrows furough, trying to piece together everything being said right now. Then, it all makes sense. “Your mother is Kali. So, you’re not truly the Kittisawat heir?” It all starts to fall in place. He knew that it was too good to be true when Tawan randomly appeared in the front of their home.
Tawan turns to Kinn with remorse in his eyes. “I had to make sure Porsche left. I didn’t want him hearing any of this… He deserves to hear the truth but not from me. I don’t have the right to speak to him about all of this. I’m just the guy forced by his duplicitous mother, who is trying to steal his entire life away from him after all.”
Kinn is beside himself. This is too much to take in all at once, he knew something was off but he never expected it to be all of this. So, his gut instinct was right from the beginning, Tawan isn’t the Kittisawat’s long lost son. So, who was? “I need you to leave, Tawan. I need to go talk to Porsche and sort all of this out.”
“You can’t tell him yet. We need to think about a plan to save both my ass and yours. If my mom finds out I told you any of this, she will kill me Kinn.” He cries. Kinn can smell the fear coming off the omega and he knows he isn’t lying. “I have a feeling she killed my father as well. But she keeps telling me that both your family and the Kittisawat’s drove him to his own death by stressing him out so much that he had a heart attack. I knew something was off. I heard from so many people that he and the Kittisawat’s had an amazing relationship together. They also said he and Korn were best friends. I never really believed her if I’m being honest.” He sniffles and grabs a tissue to wipe his tears away. “Help me, Kinn. Please… I will do anything to escape from her and start a new life of my own.”
Kinn pauses, then releases calming pheromones for Tawan. Once Tawan is calmer, Kinn says, “I’ll help you, but we need to include Porsche and create a really strong plan. I won’t hide this from my mate, but we’ll wait to tell him about the Kittisawat’s being his real parents until I have solid proof. Do we have a deal?” Kinn holds out his hand, Tawan returns the gesture and they shake on it. “Good, now let me go and talk to Porsche. I’m sure he’s beyond livid with me, again.”
“Do you think he’ll be upset if I go with you? I want to clarify everything that is happening and come clean. I don’t want him thinking I’m trying to pry you two apart. He deserves an apology at least.”
“I don’t know if that’s a good idea. Porsche is… rather dangerous when he’s upset.”
“With you there, maybe he won’t rip my head off. I think the sooner we clear the air the better. No need to let these issues continue to drag along when I’m here to help not only me and you, but him as well.” Tawan’s says matter of fact. “Now, let’s go and hopefully after everything is said and done he won’t want to kill either of us.”
“What exactly did you tell him to piss him off so much?” Kinn questions. He wants to know what they’re walking in to.
“Oh that… Umm, I might have told him that you are my fiancé and that our families think it’s best for you and I to get married.” Tawan lowers his head, avoiding Kinn’s glare. “I told you that I had to say whatever I could to get him to leave. I wouldn’t have been able to talk to you about everything with him there. I’m so sorry.”
Kinn sighs as he slowly gets out of bed. “Let’s go. I can’t promise you that he won’t try to hurt you or even me. But I will try to get through to him and hopefully he hears us out.”
They walk to the nurse’s station and Shay is sitting there typing away on her computer charting some client information. She looks up when she hears Kinn clear his throat. She knows it’s him, but her gaze never leaves the screen as he tries to talk to her. “Good morning, Shay. I would like to know where Porsche is. It’s urgent and I need to talk to him.” Kinn nervously nibbles his lower lip not knowing if Shay will give him any information or not.
"Good morning, Khun Kinn," she says, continuing her work without pausing or making eye contact with the alpha. "Khun Porsche is currently in his own VIP suite on a different floor. Your parents thought it would be beneficial for both of you to have some space, allowing some time to address any matters that may require some discussion between you and your fiancé." Her tone is bitter and Kinn can definitely sense whose team she’s on.
“This is extremely important, Shay. I need to talk to him as soon as possible. There have been some misunderstandings, and I would hate to cause him more stress. I don’t think you’d like that either.” Kinn puts on the best puppy eyes he can and of course it works. Shay falters and caves in, she can’t help but to feel so bad for the alpha.
“Fine, but you better not tell him that I gave you this information. I’m still in Khun Porsche’s good graces and I plan to stay there, that poor baby.” She coons. “He’s actually still on this floor. He’s in room 69.” Her eyes narrow as she stares at Kinn. “And don’t let the room number make you think you can have a repeat of what you and he did the other night. The walls having ears here are thing, Khun Kinn.”
“Oh… I didn’t think anyone heard that.” Kinn rubs the back of his neck as a blush creeps across his face.
“Oh, only everyone did, and those who didn’t will. It’s been the gossip of the week.” She giggles, her mood finally changing for the better. “Please don’t upset him. I just got him to calm down a few minutes ago with good food and some medication to help him relax.”
“Thank you, Shay.” He gives her a Wai and walks to his mate’s room with Tawan following behind. He knocks on his door and doesn’t wait for an answer before he strides in. “Porsche…” Kinn says quietly as he walks towards his mate’s bed.
Porsche glares at him then turns his head away. “Go away.” He grits through his teeth. “Go back to your fiancé, Kinn. You absolute asshole!”
“No please baby, it’s not what it seems like.” Kinn places a hand on top of his head and pulls his head into his chest as he leans down to get closer.
“Kinn!” Porsche tries to push the alpha away but to no avail.
“We’re not dating, Porsche. I swear with all of my heart, I’m not lying.” He hates seeing his mate in distress. He is taken aback when he starts to smell wet bark, and sour apples fill the room. “Porsche, what… what is that?”
“Let go of me.” He cries. “I’m no one’s side whore, Kinn. You’re engaged!!!”
Kinn still holds him tightly, pulling him close to try and calm him down. An idea pops into his head, and he releases his pheromones just to see if it might work on a human. Soft suede fills the air. It’s subtle with a smooth mixture of a musky leather and iris root. It’s a very unique combination that only the most power families can evolve, in this case the only wolf known to ever have the orris scent is Kinn. It takes a few moments, but Porsche starts to still and his breathing becomes less frantic.
“Wha- what is happening to me.” He is starting to feel almost drunk, but not in a bad way. His whole body including his mind, relaxes, it’s a sensation he’s never experienced in his life. “It smells so good in here.” He turns to Kinn and pulls him closer, his nose only mere inches away from the alpha’s neck. “You smell so good.” Porsche inhales deeply against Kinn’s milky white skin. The aroma coming off the man is so damn intoxicating.
“You’re ok now, Porsche.” Kinn plants a soft kiss to the top of his head and leans him back onto his pillow. “I need you to just keep an open mind for me, ok? I promise I will never hurt you. I know we got off on the wrong foot, but I swear on my life that I will do anything and everything to protect you, always.” You can never let him down, Kinn’s wolf threatens. The alpha only sighs, that pesky inner wolf is 100% on Porsche’s side. “I brought someone here to clear things up a bit. We need to have a serious discussion. Please try not to get upset.” Kinn walks over to the door and opens it, letting Tawan enter.
Porsche sits up straight again, but he’s so high on Kinn’s pheromones that it’s hard to lash out the way his brain wants to inside. “That… that asshole is here.”
“Hi. I’m sorry for the things I said earlier, Porsche. But I promise you that it wasn’t what it seemed.” Tawan looks over at Kinn, silently asking him if he can approach Porsche.
“Go ahead.” Kinn responds.
Tawan walks up next to the bed and picks Porsche’s hand up, placing the back of it to his forehead before he places it back down. “I want to sincerely apologize for how I acted earlier. I just needed to say something that would make you leave so I could talk to Kinn alone. We sorted things out and now we’ve come to discuss the same matters with you.”
“What can you tell me that will make me believe you?” Porsche’s words are slurring slightly, and he hates that he can’t sound as angry as he truly feels inside. Tear him apart, he wants your alpha. Porsche looks around the room in confusion, that strange voice is speaking to him again.
“Kinn and I were set up by our families, yes. But it isn’t what I want. It’s not what I truly want and neither does Kinn.
“But you come from one of those rich ass blood lines, don’t you? You’re perfect for each other.” Porsche turns his head and looks out his window. He can feel Kinn’s gaze heavy on him.
“Yes and no.” Tawan replies. “I do come from a well-respected family. But not the one everyone is thinking of. My father was Dahak; I come from the Vikairungroj clan.”
Porsche whips his head back around and stares at Tawan. “What does that even mean?”
“The Theerapanyakuls, Kinns family.” Tawan gestures to the alpha. “They want him to marry the son of the Kittisawat clan.” He stops for a second and turns to Kinn. “Do you want to chime in here. I feel this would be better coming from you.”
Kinn agrees and finishes what Tawan needed to say. “The Kittisawat’s had a son. He went missing years ago. Tawan’s mother forced him to pose as the missing child and the Kittisawat’s believed him. Our parents decided to make our clans stronger by having us get married. But turns out that Tawan is a fake as I said. That means that the true heir of the Kittisawat empire is still out there somewhere.”
“What Kinn said. So that means that I will not be marrying Kinn and I’m not anyone better than you.” Tawan’s expression is so sincere that Porsche almost feels bad for being so rude. “Don’t feel bad for how you reacted towards me. I deserved that… I really acted like an asshole earlier.” Tawan smiles, a real and genuine smile that he hasn’t used in years.
“Why are you both telling me all of this.” Porsche questions.
“Because I want no secrets between us. I want us to start with a fresh clean slate, and it begins with this.” Kinn grabs Porsche’s hand and interlaces their fingers together. “As much as I acted like a complete jackass when we first met, it doesn’t mean that I don’t like you. I just…” Kinn pauses. “I just didn’t know how to react to the fact that a human, a being that I was told was so evil all of my life was suddenly my fated mate.” Kinn’s eyes start to dart around the room as that scent starts to fill the air again. Ghost orchids… the smell of the rarest flower in the world, a ghost orchid. It’s sweet with hint of red apples. It’s not overpowering and Kinn can’t help but to get lost in it.
Tawan looks around trying to figure out where it’s coming from when he realizes it’s coming from Porsche. “Porsche…” Tawan moves closer to him. “Humans biologically can’t release scents like this.” He feels like he’s floating on clouds, like if he’s on top of the world for once and he never wants to come down. Suddenly, a voice from the door captures their attention and snaps them out of the trance they were in.
“It’s because he isn’t human at all.” Mr. and Mrs. Theerapanyakul are standing by entrance door with documents in their hands. “It’s nice to see you again, dear.” Mrs. Theerapanyakul swiftly makes her way to Porsche’s bedside and to his surprise, she plants a kiss to his head just like Kinn did a minute ago.
“Oh, uhhh. I’m sorry, but have we met?” Porsche looks back and forth between the older couple.
“Oh, I’m sorry. Where are our manners.” Mr. Theerapanyakul chuckles. “We saw you when you were asleep in Kinn’s room. We didn’t want to disturb you, so we let you be. Rest is much needed while the body is healing.” He reaches out to grab Porsche’s hand and gently shakes it. “I’m Mr. Theerapanyakul, but you can call me Korn.”
“And I’m Mrs. Theerapanyakul, you can call me Aree.” The older woman smiles.
“Ma, Pa… What are you doing here?” Kinn looks between both his parents with a confused look on his face.
“We are here to discuss some things with you both, and since Tawan is here it’s best if he stayed as well.”
Tawan gulps down his anxiety and the only thing he can think of is to give them a polite Wai, so he does. “I hope everything is well for the both of you.”
“Very much so, dear. Especially after finally getting back these results we’ve been waiting for the past couple of days. It confirmed some suspicions I had brewing in my little old head.” Aree giggles.
“We may be old, but your hunches are never wrong sweetheart.” Korn plants a soft kiss to his wife’s cheek as he stares at her like if she’s his whole world, which she is.
“Kinn, sit down dear. Tawan, you too.” Aree pulls a chair next to Porsche’s bed and hands him the documents she brought with her. “Before you open these, just know that we are here with you every step of the way. We won’t leave you to navigate this by yourself.” She places her hand on his, and even though she’s a complete stranger; it brings him some much-needed comfort to the unknown that’s unfolding.
“What are these? I don’t understand.”
“When I first saw you laying in your bed a couple of days ago, I thought you looked so familiar. Then it dawned on me, you look just like our dear friends, the Kittisawat’s. You have my best friends’ eyes, there is no mistake in that. So, I took it upon myself to get a DNA test done, I hope you can forgive me for that dear.”
“And uhhh… W- what did the DNA test say? Am I some sort of mutated freak?” Porsche tries to make light of this uncomfortable situation. Aree squeezes his hand as tears fill her eyes.
“Dear, you are a Kittisawat. The long-lost son of our dearest friends. You are the one they’ve been looking for all these years.”
Even though Kinn is sitting down, he feels as if he’s falling. “That means… It means that.” His words are cut off by his father.
“Yes son, that means that Porsche is not human. He’s also not just any regular Omega. He’s an elite Omega with extraordinary gifts.”
Porsche tears open the sleeve and pulls out the documents. There it is in black and white, his DNA test confirming everything being said. “This… this isn’t real. This can’t be real.” His voice sounds gutted. “I’m just a normal person. I can’t be… no.” The room starts to fill with that wet bark scent mixed with rotten apples again. Everyone starts to stand up as the smell gets stronger.
“Porsche, my dear. You have to try to calm down. Your pheromones are very strong right now and it’s overwhelming.” Aree falls to the ground on her knees, her lungs feel as if tear gas is filling the room.
Kinn stands up from his seat and walks back over to his mate. He lowers the bed rail and climbs into the bed next to him, pulling his head into his chest. “Porsche, listen to me. I know this is a lot to take in. I know you feel so damn confused and hurt right now but….” Kinn groans in discomfort as Porsche’s scent grows even stronger. “But you need to try to calm down.”
“I- I can’t… I can’t do this.”
As Kinn looks around the room, he sees Tawan slumping over in his chair and his parents are trying their hardest to crawl out the room. “Please baby. Try to calm down for me.” Kinn looks at his mate’s neck where Omega’s scent glands usually are but sees none. Without thinking, he places his mouth on his neck and starts to kiss and suck where the glands normally are. “Come back to me, Porsche.” Kinn whispers against his neck. “I need you to ground yourself for me, my Omega.”
Porsche, listen to him. You will be ok; we will be ok. That voice in his head is speaking to him again. Porsche nods frantically as tears escape his eyes.
Kinn bites down on that spot on his neck so hard that blood begins to pool in his mouth. Porsche cries out in pain, but it’s soon replaced with pleasure as Kinn sucks and soothes the wound with his mouth. Porsche starts to come back to reality oh so slowly, his scent changing into something new, something so damn enticing. “That’s it, baby. Come back to me.”
Porsche feels as if electricity bolted through his body from head to toe as Kinn continues to suck and bite on that sweet spot on his neck. He can feel the blood rushing through his veins, like a river running rapidly after a massive storm. “What’s happening to me?” Porsche clings onto Kinn’s arm tightly as he experiences these scary yet intoxicating new feelings.
“I marked you.” Kinn is breathing heavily, his wolf desperately wants to break out and ravish his Omega as it’s intended to be. “We’re bonded now, my Omega.” Kinn’s body is feeling just as intense as Porsche’s. He never in his life imagined that bonding with his fated mate would feel this good. He feels so alive as if all this time his whole being had been dead and without true purpose.
“This is- it’s too much to handle right now.” Porsche is squirming on his bed as a recently familiar sensation starts to take over his body. Heat starts to spread all over him, he feels as if he’s standing next to a heater on a hot summer day. He’s felt this before a few days ago when he was alone in his old hospital room. They had to bring an extra fan and drop the temperature in his room to 65 degrees.
“Porsche is going into heat.” Korn manages to say. We have to stop it, I’ll call the nurse.” After what feels like eternity, he stands up and rushes out the room to get nurse Shay. After a few minutes, she bolts inside the room and injects a strong heat blocker into his neck. Kinn squeezes his Omega tightly in his arms are the medication starts to do its job.
“You’ll be ok, Porsche. It will all be ok.” Kinn whispers into his ear. Shay brings out another syringe and pricks him in the neck again.
“This will calm him down and help him sleep for a good while. This is the same medication I gave you when you started going all hulk on Porsche yesterday.” Shay takes a step back and looks around the room. “You three should come with me so I can assess you before you leave. I strongly suggest we move Porsche back to Kinn’s room again before he wakes up. Like Dr. Hussein said, they will heal faster together.” The Theerapanyakul’s nod in agreement before exiting the room with Nurse Shay and Tawan following suit.
Shortly after, Porsche is transported back to Kinn’s room but this time there is a large California king sized bed awaiting them. Kinn looks confused as the medical assistants carry Porsche onto the bed. “Khun Kinn, we thought you two might be more comfortable sleeping on the same bed. If you need anything, please don’t hesitate to call us.” They all Wai and walk out the room shutting the door behind them.
Kinn quickly lays down next to his Omega and pulls him close. “I’m sorry you had to find out this way. This isn’t how I wanted it to happen.” He kisses his warm cheek, and the Omega lets out a soft little hmmm as he snuggles up closer to Kinn. “I guess even my hunch was right that day I overheard your parents talking outside your room. I promise I will try to get to the bottom of all of this, you deserve the full truth and all the answers.” Kinn starts to drift off to sleep when he feels a vibration on his side. He looks down at Porsche and he’s purring. He’s actually purring. Omega’s only purr when they feel the most comfortable and safe. It makes Kinn’s heart start to beat rapidly and he’s filled with satisfaction knowing that his Omega trusts him. With that, he falls into a deep sleep with his fated mate by his side.
“Porsche, wake up!” A voice yells.
“Wh-what.” Porsche mumbles.
“You need to wake up, son. What is going on here!?”
“Ma?” Porsche rubs his sleepy eyes and looks down at the foot of the bed. He sees his mother Diane standing there with her arms crossed and anger splayed across her face.
“Porsche! What are you doing in here with him? I haven’t been able to get ahold of you in days. I asked everyone around this hospital where they moved you to and no one was authorized to give me any information.”
Porsche looks over to Kinn who is now rubbing his eyes as well and looks completely agitated. “Who the fuck do you think you’re talking to like that?” Kinn growls.
“Kinn, it’s ok. It’s my mother.” Porsche sits straight up in the bed, he’s fully awake now.
“I don’t care who it is. They will not yell at you like that.”
“She wasn’t yelling, she is just concerned.” Porsche rolls his eyes and gives his attention back to his mom. “I’m sorry I didn’t call you. I just have a lot going on right now and a lot more I’m trying to figure out.”
“Figure out?” Diane’s face is now filled with confusion as she looks at Porsche’s neck that has a huge bite mark on it. “No…” She shakes her head back and forth.
“Ma, what’s wrong?” Porsche stands up and walks over to her, grabbing her by her hands. “Talk to me.”
“He marked you, didn’t he?” Her voice is cracked as her eyes start to cloud with tears.
“Ma, it’s ok. Everything will be ok.”
“No!” She shouts. “She’s going to kill us all now. She…” Diane trails off.
“Who, ma? What are you talking about?”
“She can’t find out that you’re still alive. She will take you away from us for good. You were never supposed to be found, Porsche. We kept the real you hidden all these years for a reason.”
“Tell me who you are talking about.” Kinn is now standing next to them as well. “Who is going to kill Porsche?”
“Kali…” is all Diane says before running out the room and calling out to her husband.
