“Good morning, class!”

”Good morning, Ms. Frizzle!” They beamed from where they sat at their desks. Ms. Frizzle walked over to pick up a letter on her desk. She wore a Marvel’s-themed dress. Each one of the superheroes fought the greatest enemy. Captain America against Red Skull, Iron Man against Mandarin, Spider-Man against Doctor Octopus, and so on. Carlos’s favorite was Spider-Man.

“R.U. Humerus has asked us to pick up some parts from Stark Industries. While he is out of town.” The class’s eyes widen.

Carlos’s brain started to short circuit. “Stark Industries? As in the one own by—” Ms. Frizzle nodded, cutting him off.

“Yes, yes, Tony Stark has decided to fund one of R.U. Humerus recent projects.”

“According to my research, Tony Stark’s net worth is around 12.4 billion dollars,” Dorothy Ann grasped.

“Wow. That’s a lot of money for a lot of mallowblasters,” Arnold licked his lips. Then something clicked. “Wait, does this mean we going on a—”

“Field trip?” Ms. Frizzle finished for him with an amused smile. “To the bus!”

“At this point, why am I even surprised?” Arnold groaned. Everyone around him cheered, following Ms. Frizzle to the bus. Once the kids settled down in their seats. She enthusiastically reminded them.

“Seat belts everyone!”

"Please let this be a normal field trip!" Arnold prayed as he sat down.

"With the Frizz?" Carlos sat beside him.

Everyone else stood up to crouch atop him and yelled in replay, “No way!”

"Uggghhh!!!" Arnold groaned. Almost as if, on cue, everyone started singing.

"Cruisin’ on down Main Street. You’re relaxed and feeling good. Next thing you know and you’ll see—” They arrived at Stark Industries, the building was even more massive in person. Ms. Frizzle opened the bus’s doors. Liz hid behind her head.

The class marveled at the high-tech hung up on the walls and intense security. “This place must’ve cost a fortune,” Phoebe murmured.

“Hm, it seems we’ve got a few little visitors.” Tony took a second to glance at them from where he had been giving a speech.

Ms. Frizzle extended her hand. “R.U. sent us to pick up some parts for him. While he is out of town.” Tony shakes her hand. “My name is Ms. Frizzle. I hope you don’t mind I brought my class; I couldn’t pass up the learning opportunity for a field trip.”

“Nice to meet you, Ms. Frizzle. It’s quite alright. I always enjoyed showing off my work. If you would please follow me right this way.” Tony lead them down a hall into another room.

If this was a dream, Carlos didn’t want to wake up. Wanda coughed, “Mr. Stark? I have a question: What is being an Avengers like?”

“Yeah! And is Spider-Man an Avenger? He is my favorite superher—” His voice was cut off by an explosion a few feet away.

“Jeez, I’ve got enough people on my back as it is. I didn’t need to add Mr. Stark to the list. Why don’t you take your toys somewhere else? Preferably away from the civilians.” Spider-Man swung over the rubble from the explosion.

”No thanks! That’s all part of the fun!”

Spider-Man wedded the Green Goblin’s mouth. ”I think you and I have different definitions of the word ‘fun.’” Tony Stark motioned Ms. Frizzle towards the exit door.

Escorted away from the fight. The students stared stunned at Tony Stark, wearing an apologetic expression on his face. “Please excuse me. While I go deal with whatever trouble this, uh, arachnida brought here. The class exchanged concerned glances at his departure.

“Oh. Well, I’m sure R.U. Humerus can wait to have his parts delivered another day.” Arnold hurried to open the bus’s doors.

“Now, there, there, Arnold. Don’t be so worried. I'm sure Tony has got it all under control." Mrs. Frizzle’s Spider-Man earrings dangled, flashing a brilliant red. A loud crash came from equipment being thrown around in the fight.

“I bet R.U. Humerus is enjoying his vacation right now.” Arnold complained, gulping nervously.

“Working with Tony has got to be stressful,” Phoebe said with murmurs of agreement from the rest of the class. They shared sympathetic looks.

“I wonder what kind of invention he is working on.” Mrs. Frizzle nodded in Dorthy Ann direction.

“Only one way to find out.”

Lizzy nodded and climbed off Mrs. Frizzle’s shoulder onto Arnold’s. The bus honked its horn. Cheers let up from the class as they passed Arnold on their into the bus. Mrs. Frizzle peered through the window searching for the lab R.U. Humerus stored his invention.

Catching a glimpse of Spider-Man and Tony, in his iron suit, fighting the Green Goblin. She made a mental note to write to R.U. Humerus about it. Knowing him, he would love to see the mechanics of the iron suit in action.

“Whatever it is, I bet it’s really cool. Like that robot he helped me build for my project.” Carlos peered through the bus’s window. His eyes bright with integrity as he became captivated by the fight. Observing as the green goblin flew around on his hoverboard, dodging their attacks. “Man. Spiderman and Tony are really kicking the green goblin butt.”

Mrs. Frizzle spotted where R.U. Humerus invention was stored and made adjustments to the bus to get there. A blast from Tony’s suit sent the green goblin flying out of the building. Still, sat up with a smug grin. “Two against one isn’t fair, don’t you think?”

“Fair? I didn’t think you knew the meaning of the word.” Spiderman tilted as his head sarcastically as he stalked towards him. “Besides, I don’t need another piss off billionaire on my list of things to worry about.” People outside of the building scattered inside to get to safety.

”I’m not the only one?” It was hard to tell with his mask hiding his face and muffling his voice, if Tony’s was more angry or disappointed. Spiderman blocked the goblin’s attack with a web and shrugged.

”Yeah. I tend to bug people.”

The bus shrieked to the size of a spider and crawled along the side of the walls to R.U. Humerus’s lab. Mrs. Frizzle giggled as the bus’s webbing propelled them through the air to land on atop a counter covered with blueprints. The class stood out of their seats to peer at them. Lizzie’s pointed his tail towards a robot’s head with a note on it. Letting them know it was the part Humerus needed picked up. Engraved on the side of the robot's head was the word F.R.I.D.A.Y. Mrs. Frizzle stepped out of the bus to inspect it with the class in pursuit.

She packed it up in a box nearby. Lizzie opened the back door to the spiderbus. Explosions from across the hall made the class behind her jump. Shook, let up their faces. “We should hurry.” Arnold said, his shoulders hunched over.

Beside him, Ralph raised his hand. “Can I hold the box on the way back?”

Mrs. Frizzle nodded, handing it to him as she went to sit in the driver's seat. Across the hall, they heard Iron Man yell. “Spider-Man, I got this. Help the civilians get to safety!”

“On it!” Spider-Man ran past Humerus’s lab to find civilians hiding before pausing when he spotted the spiderbus on the lab's door. He poked it. "Yeah, little guy, how are you doing? Want to come outside with us?”

The class beamed at Mrs. Frizzle with pleading eyes. Spider-Man made a ticklish sound as the bus’s spider legs climbed onto his arm. “Hold on tight.” He led the civilians to the exit and swung out the door on one of his webs. Parents rushed their children to their cars. “Mr. Stark is going to be mad. I didn’t notice the green goblin following me on my way to the tower.”

A few of the students glanced up curiously at him. Mrs. Frizzle drove the bus along a line of web to the ground, setting it in park before resizing it. The whites of Spider-Man’s mask eyelids widen tenfold.

Mrs. Frizzle rolled down her window and waved goodbye. “Tell Mr. Stark I got the part from Humerus’s lab he wanted me to retrieve for him.” Once the window was up. She drove back to the school to ensure the robots’s head got there safely. The class chatted about the trip on their way back.
