Chapter Text

Shattered - Just Hit it!

Behind the Scenes:

Man: “Alright, you’re going to run up there, and hit the giant, glowy rock.”

Sonic: “Um, okay? So.. I just- hit it?”

Man: “More like spin-dash into it, but yes.”

-Sonic blinks at him-

Sonic: “And you’re sure it’s safe? It’s not explosive or something?”

Man: “Why would we put explosives in a prop- We’re making a show, here! JUST HIT THE ROCK! ”

-Sonic flinches back-

Cut-

Sonic: “Step away from the rock, Egghead!”

Eggman: “Not this time, you fool!”

-Sonic charges for the prism, then jumps into a spindash-

Tails: “Sonic, wait !”

-Sonic flies for the prism-

Sonic Friends: “Sonic! NO!”

-Sonic crashes into the prism, clattering to the floor, along with the prism-

Sonic: “oooOOOOWWWW!”

-Sonic complains, sitting up and rubbing at his head-

Sonic: “‘Safe,’ he says… ‘It’s a prop,’ he says…”

-Sonic gets up, walks over to the prism and kicks it-

Sonic: “PROPS AREN’T MADE OF BEDROCK-!”

Shattered - A Knock-Out Landing

-Sonic falls from the sky after realizing New Yoke was Green Hill-

-Sonic misses the open dumpster, landing flat-out on the concrete-

Man: “Aaalright! Cut! Nice job everyone, that was great. Sonic, you can get up now.”

Sonic: “...”

Man: “..Sonic?”

Shattered - Out of Batteries

Sonic: "Oh, Amy..."

Rusty: "Rusty Rose. Cease talking. You will need all the breath you can muster if you are to-"

Older man: "Agh, dang-nabbit!"

-A bang is heard near the darkened entrance of the room-

-Four silhouettes neatly slide in, but the fifth is stuck by the door: seat shadow laying on the floor, with someone trying to stand out of it-

Older man: "Who left this thing low on charge!?"

-Sonic fails to hide his snickering-

Older man: "Oh-shut your pie-hole!"

Shattered - Blow You Away

-Sonic runs across the blades of the spinning fan, and jump up to kick it towards the spiked pounder-

???: “OW!”

-Sonic lands and cringes-

Sonic: “Oof.. Sorry!”

Shattered - Sliding Into It

-Sonic lands in a hamster ball-

-Sonic runs, but his feet keep slipping-

Sonic: “Um- I’m running in place.”

Man: “I see that…”

Background guy: “Oo! Try stopping!”

Sonic: “‘Kay!”

-Sonic drifts his feet to stop, but ends up sliding up the side and face planting on the bottom-

Sonic: *groans* “Y’know.. I’m starting to second-guess doing this show with you guys…”

???: "Me too!

Sonic: "I said I was sorry-!"

Shattered - Busted

Sonic: “Hey, Sir-Winks-Alot? You do have a plan, right? Right!?”

Nine: “Nope!”

-Nine smirks-

-Sonic slumps with a flat scowl-

Sonic: "Okay, who hired the murder-happy fox to play my brother?"

-Nine's smirk widens-

Sonic: "Dude! Stop that!"

Shattered - Painful Light Show

Sonic: “Hey, Sir-Winks-Alot? You do have a plan, right? Right!?”

Nine: “No, sorry. Just dust in my eye.”

-Nine rubs at his eye-

-Sonic droops, looking at the laser-

Sonic: “Guess this is game over- YEOW!”

-Laser flickers on, zaps Sonic, then shut down-

Sonic: “Yo! What’s the deal!?”

Man: “Sorry! Hit the ‘on’ button by mistake!”

Sonic: “Oh, so this is real? WHO PUTS REAL LASERS IN A SHOW!?!”

Shattered - Dramatic Reveal

-Sonic runs up to the metallic seat on the upper deck of the lab-

-Dramatically spinning the seat around, Sonic freeze-

-Nine’s left stunned, holding up his wrench, wearing a silly pair of glasses with a mustache-

Sonic: “PFFFFT–HA!”

-Sonic bends forward, laughing-

-Nine looks to the camera, his goofy glasses and mustache, twitching to the side with the dramatic swing-

-Background workers start laughing-

Shattered - Lunch Break

-Tails and Amy ride the Tornado, while Rouge and Knuckles fly along either side of it-

Knuckles: “Huh-?”

-Bird hits him in the face, and he flies back-

Man: “Cut!”

-Knuckles glides back into frame, irritated-

-Others start snickering-

Rouge: “So.. how was your lunch break?”

-Knuckles glares at her-

Shattered - Catch-Up

Tails: “Yeah, but he does show up when it really counts.”

-Tails looks to the others-

Tails: “You know, Sonic. He’ll catch up eventually.”

-Blue blur speeds past-

Sonic: “Here!”

-Others jerk back in surprise, looking to where Sonic sped off to-

Knuckles: “What was that about?”

-Tails snickers, getting their attention-

Tails: “Really?”

-Tails hold up ketchup bottle-

-Sonic’s heard somewhere in the back, laughing-

The Yoke’s On You - Emerald Flirting

-Shadow slams into a boulder, destroying it-

-Shadow finds and grabs a chaos emerald-

Shadow: “There you are.”

Background Worker: “Well– Hello ~!”

Shadow: “ Snrrk ”

-Shadow covers his face, laughing-

Man: “CUT! Judy!”

Background Worker: *wheezing* “I’m so-sorry-! HA -”

The Yoke’s On You - Ankle Breaking

-Shadow teleports in front of Sonic, and jumps at him, but Sonic ducks under him and twists to land-

Sonic: “AGH–GEEZ!”

Man: “CUT!”

Sonic: “Sorry! Landed wrong. I’m good!”

-Sonic wobbles on his feet, putting more weight on his ankle-

Sonic: “We can go again.”

-Shadow crosses his arms-

Man: “Alright, from the top! Let’s go!”

Cut-

-Shadow jumps at Sonic, and Sonic ducks under-

-When Sonic lands, he completely fumbles as he falls down with a pop-

Sonic: “.aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh..” *breathes*

-Shadow shifts his weight as he puts a fist on his hip-

Shadow: “You were saying?”

Sonic: “Okay, I’ll get it on the next one.” *hisses*

Shadow: “Sonic-”

Sonic: “I can get it!”

Background Worker: “Um–S-Sonic, you’re ankle’s like- twice it’s size-”

Sonic: “It’s fine!”

-Sonic puts his weight on it with a hiss-

Man: “We can edit it out in the final cut, let’s get moving!”

-Shadow jumps over Sonic, and Sonic twists under and lands as the two face off-

-Shadow does a leg sweep, that Sonic jumps over-

-Shadow teleports over Sonic, stomping down, as Sonic dodges to the side-

-Shadow kicks at Sonic, knocking him back a bit before he curls into a spindash and zips off-

Man: “Aaand CUT- That was great! Nice work you guys!”

-Shadow stops, while Sonic lays on the floor-

Sonic: *muffled scream into floor*

Shadow: “I tried to warn you-”

The Yoke’s On You - CUT It Out!

-Sonic and Shadow finishing a fight scene-

Man: “Alright! That’s a wrap!”

-Shadow tackles Sonic to the ground and they roll by in a vicious ball-

Man: “Guys. The scene’s over.”

-They roll back, both biting at each other and punching the other-

Man: “Guys! Cut! ”

Sonic: “Good idea!”

-Sonic grabs a sharp rock from nearby-

Man: “ NO-! ”

Sonic: “HE STARTED IT!”

Shadow: “ It’s in the script! ”

The Yoke’s On You - Fist to the Face

-Explosion in the distance-

Sonic: “My friends! Look, Shadow. I’m la-NN-”

-Sonic flinches, holding up his hands to block his face as Shadow’s fist stops just inches from him-

Shadow: “What are you doing?”

-Sonic peaks, and drops his hands-

Sonic: “Look! It’s hard, okay?! I can’t not react when I know something’s coming-”

-Shadow swipes under Sonic’s legs, knocking him down-

Shadow: “And that?”

Sonic: *groans* “Not.. fair…”

Cut-

Sonic: “Look, Shadow. I’m la-”

-Shadow punches Sonic square in the face, knocking the blue hedgehog back with a yelp-

Sonic: “Ow! Dude! My no-z!”

Man: “Cut! Sonic, you’re not supposed to fall back!”

Sonic: “Well–Ssoooorrry~! Not my fault he hit that hard-!”

The Yoke’s On You - Shad..ow?

-Sonic drops to the floor, mostly out of it-

Sonic: “Paradox… Prism..”

-Sonic dreaily blinks-

Sonic: “Shad.. ow?”

Shadow: “What?”

Sonic: *SNORTS*

Man: “No, Shadow. This isn’t your scene… take it from the top!”

-Shadow stands in the back, blinking, confused-

The Yoke’s On You - Built in Attack System

-Nine’s hacking into the computer, while an attack robot tries to sneak up on him-

-Nine’s tails cut off the limbs of the robot, and push it into the laser that drifts by, causing it to explode-

Knucks: “Whoa… I want tails like that!”

Nine: “I know, right? They have their own prop-handlers and everything.”

-Nine smirks, as several others, wearing green screen outfits, hold up the tails and wave them-

Escape from New Yoke - Found a Pain

Sonic: “Where’s the exit?”

-There’s a loud bang near the back of the robot remains-

Knucks: “Found it!” *groans* “And a headache..”

Sonic: “Heheh, I know how that feels.”

Escape from New Yoke - A Step Too Far Ahead

Sonic: “Prism?”

-Sonic dashes towards the group-

Sonic: “Hold’a-wait’a-whoa!”

-Sonic slides past the group and off camera before zipping back to his spot-

Sonic: “Did you say prism-?”

Man: “CUT!”

Others: *laughing*

Sonic: “Oh, come on!”

Man: “Back to it everyone!”

Escape from New Yoke - Why Are They Real..?

Knucks: “I guess dreams don’t come true.”

Sonic: “Oh, come on. You don’t really believe that do you?”

Knucks: “Well, prove me wrong.”

-Knucks throws a barrel container at the approaching robot hordes-

-Sonic eyes the barrel and jumps into the slow-moving rain of fire, dodging a couple blasts and then getting hit-

Sonic: “Ow.”

-Sonic continues to dodge another, before another hits his leg, knocking him down-

-Curled on the floor, Sonic continues to get blasted-

Sonic: “Okay! Stop! Ow!”

-Blasts stop, and Sonic jumps up to his feet, smoking-

Sonic: “Okay, what is with you guys and lasers?! Huh!?”

Escape from New Yoke - Too Tight

-Sonic and crew are walking to the last room, where the core lies-

Knucks: “I thought you were flatter than a snake's belt-”

-Giant mechanical hand flies in and grabs the rebels-

-Knucks belches-

Rebel: “Ugh, gross!”

Knucks: “Woops, sorry! Don’t remember eating that?”

Rusty: “I am glad I was not built with a sense of smell-”

-Sonic freezes and spins around-

Sonic: “Wait-! THE ROBOT’S REAL TOO-!?”

Unwelcome to the Jungle - Pay Attention

-Sonic’s running across the bridges from tree to tree-

-He keeps looking back over his shoulder, watching the others who are chasing him-

Prim: “Wait, Sonic-! ”

Sonic: “Whoa-AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH-”

-Sonic runs off the edges of one of the balconies-

-The others cringe and look to each other-

Man: “... Cut .”

Unwelcome to the Jungle - Sticking the Landing

-Sonic falls in, screaming-

-Sonic crashes into branch after branch, before landing on a tree balcony-

Sonic: *groans*

-Sonic lifts his head and shakes it-

Sonic: “I real’y–need’a st’rt l’ndin’ on m’ feet..” (He slurs)

Man: “CUT! Sonic, you can’t slur the lines.”

-Sonic drops his head on the wooden deck again-

Man: “Ughhh…”

Unwelcome to the Jungle - Piercings

-Sonic looks over the trees and balconies-

-Sonic puts his hands to his head-

Sonic: “Okay, think- YOEW!”

-Sonic jerks back, pulling his gloves’ claws from his ears-

Sonic: “I DON’T WANT MY EARS PIERCED-”

Unwelcome to the Jungle - Now You See it: Now You Don’t

Gnarly: We’re wasting away up here!”

Prim: “Not anytime soon.”

-Prim holds out a hand to dramatically reveal a berry she found-

-The berry slips from her fingers and she fails to grab the stem before it falls-

Prim: “No!”

-They all stare wide-eyed at the ledge it fell off-

Hangry: “You were saying?”

Prim: “Okay, forget I said anything.”

-Sonic smirks with a fist on his hip, then yelps and pulls his hand back where the claws retract into his glove-

Sonic: “I’M NOT LIKING THESE GLOVES-!”

Unwelcome to the Jungle - Bark Off the Trees

Hangry: “I’m not angry! I’m hungry.”

-Hangry lets go of Sonic to hold up a piece of bark-

Hangry: “You ever try filling up on bark?”

-Hangry goes to take a bite, but cringes and pulls it back-

Hangry: “I can’t do it! It looks so real!”

Man: “That’s because it is…”

Hangry: “What!?”

Cut -

Hangry: “You ever try filling up on bark?”

-Hangry takes a bite out of the bark and walks off camera-

Hangry: *gags*

-Sonic cringes after the purple cat-

Unwelcome to the Jungle - Cutting it Close

-Sonic runs from the scavengers, jumping from a branch to a vine-

-Sonic tries to grab the vine, but the claws stab out and slice it, leaving Sonic nothing to grab-

Sonic: “ No! AHHHHHHHH-”

-Others watch after him-

Prim: “Again?”

Unwelcome to the Jungle - No Cuts

-Scavengers are eating at bark, sitting on their balconies-

-Sonic flies up past them, screaming-

Man: “Alright, second position!”

-Scavengers move to lay down and pretend they’re sleeping-

-Sonic soars right back down past the scavengers-

Unwelcome to the Jungle - Who’s Got it Wrong?

Sonic: “Boy, those guys up above have really got it-”

-Thorn’s hammer comes up, hitting Sonic’s jaw-

Thorn: “Oh my gosh! I’m so sorry!”

-Thorn reaches for the hedgehog, who’s holding his mouth-

Thorn: “..You okay?”

-Sonic glares at no one-

Barking Up the Wrong Tree - Traitorous Accessories

-Sonic uses his gloves and shoes to climb up the tree-made bars of his cage-

-Nearing the top, the claws retract into his gloves and shoes again-

Sonic: “NOOOO!”

-Sonic falls back down, landing with a thud-

Sonic: “Ow…”

Barking Up the Wrong Tree - Chit Chat Awkwardness

-Sonic holds up his hands-

Sonic: “Wait.. like this?”

-Sonic moves his hands like they’re talking-

Man: “Yes.. like that.”

Sonic: “Wh- no! That’s- no!”

Man: “Look, just follow the script, alright? We gotta finish this scene.”

Sonic: “Ugh… fine…”

Cut -

Sonic: “Hey, Thorn!”

-Sonic nervously walks up to Thorn and Birdie-

Sonic: “We just wanna have a friendly chit-chat. Remember those?”

-Sonic holds up his hands, making them talk-

Sonic: “Hi, Thorn! Love- I can’t…”

-Sonic facepalms, chuckling-

Sonic: “I feel like an idiot doing this!”

Man: “Cut!”

Gnarly: “Maybe ‘cause you are one?”

Sonic: “Wh- Hey! ”

Barking Up the Wrong Tree - Tree Talker

-Sonic stands beneath the Great Green Palmtree-

Sonic: “Not getting much light, are you? Man, it’s gotten so dark even Thorn’s lost her way.”

-Sonic looks over the tree, smiling-

Sonic: “But don’t worry. I’ve got a plan, and you’re in it.”

-Sonic pats the tree root-

Sonic: “I know- snrk..”

-Sonic rubs his hands over his face, snickering-

Sonic: “I’m talking to a tree…”

Man: “ CUT! ”

Barking Up the Wrong Tree - Trip Hiker

-Sonic’s running through the jungle-

Shadow: “Sonic!”

Sonic: “Shadow?!”

Shadow: “Sonic! I’m lost in the void! You have to keep moving!”

Sonic: “H-how could-”

-Sonic trips, face planting in the grass-

Sonic: “I don’t think it worked…” *muffled*

Barking Up the Wrong Tree - Hanging Out

-Sonic trips and hits the shard-

-Sonic portals back to New Yoke, falling from the sky-

-The vine on his foot, catches on a city building in an alley, and Sonic gets pulled back-

-The vine catches on his stomach and he drops again, as the vine strings up to his neck and he flops down to the ground-

Sonic: “Okay… Note-to-self: …Try not to get hung by jungle vine…”
