Chapter Text

“Heroes’ Day was, without doubt, one of the most memorable battles in the war between the heroes and Hawk Moth.”

“But in this timeline, things went very wrong…”

A van drove into the town.

The place was practically ruins with not a person in sight.

There were some flashes of light In the van, and out came Ladybug, Chat Noir, Rena Rouge, Carapace, and Queen Bee.

“Seems quiet enough,” Rena said.

“That’s why I’m suspicious,” Ladybug told her.

They walked cautiously, on the lookout for any signs of life.”

Smash!

They all at the sound to find a cat had knocked over a glass bottle.

They relaxed.

Chat and Rena’s ears twitched, “Duck!” They shouted.

They did so and heard something fly over their heads.

Their attacker was Simon Says in a scarlet version of his costume.

“Simon says freeze!” He threw more cards, which they dodged.

They hid behind a brick wall, only for it to disappear in a puff of smoke.

“It’s Magician of Misfortune!” Carapace cried out, spotting the Akuma on a rooftop.

“Scatter!” Ladybug commands, and all run in different directions.

Ladybug catches her breath in an alleyway.

“Ladybug!” Chat Noir joined her, “Queen Bee is in trouble. We need to go!”

“Of course, just give me a–” She punched Chat in the chest.

“Nice try, Copycat, but after all this time, I would know my kitty anywhere!”

Copycat’s costume blurred, changing from black to scarlet.

“I guess we’re doing this the hard way,” Copycat said, swinging his staff.

Meanwhile, the real Chat Noir was fighting Simon Says.

“Simon says you’re a cat!”

Chat continues to dodge cards until he is backed against a wall.

“Simon says–”

“Queen Bee says Venom!”

She hit him in the back, paralysing him.

“You okay, Adrien?”

“Yes, being bait is exhausting.”

“Shell-ter!” Carapace put a forcefield around Magician of Misfortune, which he promptly made disappear.

“I can make anything disappear, idiot!”

He pointed his wand and attempted to make Carapace disappear, but nothing happened.

“Hey! What’s going on?!”

“Maybe you ran out of batteries?”

The Akuma turned to see another Carapace behind him.

“Huh?”

He was now surrounded by Carapaces.

“What’s the matter? You seeing double?”

The Akuma kept trying to make them disappear until he got hit on the head.

Rena appeared out of thin air.

“Looks like you’re the real magician, Alys,” The true Carapace told her.

They picked up the Magician Akuma and went to look for the others.

They found Chat Noir and Queen Bee with the frozen Simon Says.

“Where’s Marinette?” Rena asked.

“Here,” Ladybug approached, dragging an unconscious Copycat behind her.

When she reached them, she sighed, “Let’s search them.”

They quickly found and destroyed their Akuma objects, releasing the Scarlet Akumas.

“Gotcha, Miraculous Ladybug!”

The ladybugs undid all the damage the three Akumas had ever done.

The Akumas returned to their normal selves.

“What happened to my clothes?” Jean shrieked.

Their clothes were worn and had holes in them.

“It’s okay, we have spares in our van,” Rena reassured them.

“But why are our clothes in this condition?” Simon asked.

“And where are we?” Théo added, “This isn’t Paris.”

The heroes exchanged looks, “What’s the last thing you remember?” Ladybug asked.

“I was celebrating Heroes’ Day when the news showed footage of you being Akumatized and killing Chat Noir,” Théo answered.

“Me too,” Simon said, “And then a swarm of Akumas showed up, but they were a different colour, red.”

“Yeah, and then one landed on me,” Jean said, “But that still doesn’t answer our questions.”

“You see the things is…” Chat Noir paused before continuing, “That day you’re all remembering…”

He breathed out.

“That was three years ago.”

Chapter Text

“Now you all wondering, how did this happen?” Bunnyx put her hand on the window and rewound to Heroes’ Day.

We see Marinette with Master Fu as he offers the Miraculous to her.

“Take them all, Marinette!” Tikki told her, “There need to be as many of us as possible.”

“No, Tikki. In this case less is more. I won’t have time to explain everything again. I need allies who already know what needs to be done.”

She picks up the Fox and Bee Miraculous and asks Master Fu to hand over the Turtle.

But as she’s about to leave, she hesitates when she remembers something.

“Master? You said it’s possible to use multiple Miraculous at once.”

“Yes,” Master Fu stroked his chin, “I haven’t let you do so before because it’s very dangerous… but if you and Chat Noir are willing to take the risk, I will allow you to do so now.”

Marinette thought about it before picking up the Monkey and Horse.

“You can use multiple Miraculous at once?!” Queen Bee said, “Why don’t we do that all the time?”

“Because it can wear out your body or drive you insane,” Ladybug said.

Queen Bee turned pale, “Never mind.”

“Ladybug, Chat Noir,” Scarlet Moth called out, “I can feel your close presence–”

“Tikki, Xuppu, Unify!”

“Plagg, Kaalki, Unify!”

“–yourselves up and bring me your–humph!”

A portal had opened in front of him, and a toy ladybug hit him in the face.

“Is this some kind of juvenile prank? Find them!” He ordered his army.

“And why should we do that?” Princess Fragrance asked.

“Why should we do anything you say?” Riptose added.

“You dare question me?! I can take away your powers at a snap of my fingers,” He did so, but it had no effect, “How is this possible?!”

“How is it possible?” Rena asked.

“The Monkey Miraculous disrupts powers, so I guess it cut his connection to the Akumas,” The Unified Ladybug answered.

“Get you’re hands off me!” Scarlet Moth shouted as the Akumas restrained him.

“Now what?” Dark Cupid asked.

“Now we paint Paris red!” Princess Fragrance declared, and the Akumas roared their approval.

“I don’t like the sound of that,” Carapace said.

“Let’s not panic,” Ladybug said, “We can–”

Troublemaker phased up from beneath them and snatched the Monkey Miraculous from her head.

“They're here!”

The Akumas converged on the roof.

“We need to get out of here,” Ladybug said.

The heroes ran across the rooftops as the Akumas pursued them.

“Chat, recharge Kaalki!”

“Kaalki, divide!”

Chat Noir held the Kwami in his hands as she ate some of Plagg’s cheese.

“Disgusting! I can’t believe I have been reduced to eating this!”

They became surrounded.

“Kaalki…” Chat Noir said.

“I’m done!”

“Plagg, Kaalki, Unify! Voyage!”

The heroes were jumping through the portal when Dark Cupid flew in and stole the Horse Miraculous.

“No!” Chat cried as he fell through the portal.

The five of them glumly watched the news showing the latest attack on their phones in an abandoned house.

It had been a month since Heroes’ Day, and the Scarlet Akumas had taken over the city and had found a way to create more Scarlet Butterflies to add more to their numbers and had already begun to spread to the rest of France.

“This is all my fault!” Marinette cried and put her face into her hands.

“Hey, you didn’t know this would happen,” Adrien reassured her.

“Hawk Moth is the one who created the Scarlet Akumas in the first place,” Alya pointed out.

“And we agreed to the plan,” Nino added, “This isn’t all on you.”

They had been constantly on the run ever since this nightmare began. It became impractical to keep their identities a secret under these circumstances, so they revealed themselves to each other.

“It doesn’t matter whose fault it is. What matters is fixing this,” Chloé told them.

As far as Marinette was concerned, the most terrifying thing about all this was how seriously Chloé was taking it.

“You’re right, enough self-pity,” Marinette said, “We’re going to fight for however long it takes to put this right.”

Chapter Text

“I’ve said before I can’t interfere unless it’s an end-of-the-world scenario, but if there is even a small chance they can take care of things on their own, I still can’t help,” Bunnyx sighs, “This job really sucks sometimes.”

She fast-forwarded the window.

The van drove through the countryside.

“So the Scarlet Akumas are everywhere?” Simon said.

“Yes,” Marinette replied, “They have managed to spread to every corner of the globe, although the American heroes have done a good job of preventing them from taking over completely.”

“So they’re building an empire?”

Alya snorted, “That would imply that they’re organised. Mostly they just do their own thing or hang out in groups.”

“And Paris?” Théo asked.

“They got everyone there,” Chloé said, “We haven’t been back since this all started.”

“We’re not strong enough on our own, and the rest of the world's heroes are stretched too thin to help.”

They approached a camp.

“We’re here,” Adrien said from the driver's seat.

He parked the van, and they all got out.

The camp was full of people in ragged clothes doing various jobs.

“Ah, you found more.”

A woman approached them, “Are they survivors or former Akumas?”

“Former Akumas,” Nino replied, “They were all Akumatized on day one.”

“I see. You three have a lot to learn then.”

She guided the three men further into the camp.

The heroes returned to their own tents.

“Finally, a chance to rest,” Plagg said from Adrien’s jacket.

“You’ve been in my pocket this whole time. How is that not resting?”

“I didn’t have my camembert.”

Adrien chuckles, “Never change Plagg.”

The next morning, they work up to some good news.

“We have a new lead,” Marinette told them, “An Akuma with a Chinese character on the back of his suit was seen with an old box a few days' journey from here.”

“You mean…” Alya said.

“Yes, we might have found the Miracle Box.”

Chapter Text

They set out at once to head for the location where Fu and the Box were spotted.

The first thing they did on Heroes’ Day after everything went wrong was try to find Master Fu, but the Akumas found him first, along with all the Miraculous in his possession.

A day went by with no activity.

“Are you going to be okay?” Alya asked Marinette, who was driving, “Seeing your old teacher again?”

Nino comforted Wayzz as he wilted at the mention of his old holder.

It was never easy fighting against an Akuma who had been someone you had been close to.

Marinette looked at her, “I fought against almost everyone in our class way before Heroes’ Day, including you.”

“Sure, but that was a long time ago, and this is the man who taught you everything you know about the Miraculous.”

Marinette sighed, “I’ll be fine, I promise.”

Sometime after the sunset, Marinette parked the car to switch with Alya.

Trixx poked his head out, ears alert, “I heard something.”

A flash of light caused the van to disappear.

“Look into the lens, ladies.”

“It’s Pixelator!” Marinette shouted.

She and Alya transformed. The others had been in the van when it disappeared, so they were alone.

“Mirage!” Rena Rouge created dozens of copies of themselves.

“You think these counterfeits will stop me?”

He started shooting at all of the Ladybugs and Renas, the beams passing right through, causing them to disappear in a puff of smoke and hitting random objects.

“It’s only a matter of time before I find the real–”

He felt something trip him over.

Ladybug and Rena appeared next to him, Ladybug holding a golf club lucky charm.

Ladybug swung it and hit the camera, releasing the Akuma.

Once she caught and cast the Miraculous Ladybug, the van reappeared.

The others burst out.

“Are you two okay?” Adrien asked as they ran over.

“Yes, we took care of it,” Ladybug said as Vincent came to his senses.

“What happened?”

As Nino and Chloé explained things to him, Ladybug and Rena de-transformed.

“How many people has Pixelator captured over the years?” Alya asked.

“Well, you two saved them all,” Adrien told them.

“Did we?” Marinette asked, “How many of them have been returned right in the middle of Akuma territory and are even now being captured?”

No one had anything to say to that.

Once they had given Vincent directions back to the camp, they continued their journey.

Chapter Text

They were driving on the road when they spotted a Scarlet Akuma.

They stopped, and Ladybug caught it.

“Oh no,” Chloé said, “This can only mean one thing.”

“A nest,” Marinette said grimly, “Looks like we’re taking a detour.”

Nests were where Akumas hatched fresh scarlet butterflies and were always well protected.

They couldn't ignore the nest. Taking it out would prevent dozens of potential Akumas victims.

They followed the trail of Scarlet Butterflies to what had once been a Chinese restaurant.

“Could we have found Master Fu already?” Chat Noir asked.

“No,” Rena Rouge said, “We’ve not gone far enough.”

“And look,” Carapace pointed out the brainwashed people standing guard, “This seems familiar…”

“It’s my uncle Wang,” Ladybug said, “Kung Food.”

“Wasn't he in China last you heard?” Carapace said.

“Then what’s he doing all the way here?” Queen Bee questioned.

“How long has it been since we fought a pre-Heroes’ Day Akuma?” Rena thought aloud, “A long time, and yet this is our fourth in a few days. It feels like a–”

“Trap?” Ladybug finished, “I agree it’s too much of a coincidence… but we can’t not try to retrieve the Miracle Box.”

Rena sighed, “Yeah, we know, but first things first, let’s deal with this nest.”

“Mirage!”

Rena created duplicates of themselves in front of the restaurant.

The brainwashed people started chasing them.

Ladybug used a crowbar Lucky Charm to open a window, allowing them into the toilet.

Ladybug peeked through the door into the restaurant.

It was full of scarlet chrysalis. Occasionally, a scarlet butterfly would emerge from one.

Kung Food had his back to them, preparing a meal.

“Ah, my dear niece, you have arrived.”

Ladybug and her team ran out of the toilet and surrounded the Akuma.

“Venom!” Queen Bee called out and attempted to jab Kung Food, but someone caught her arm.

“Ladydragon?!” Ladybug gasped. She had heard of the Chinese superhero who had shown up in the earlier days of the Scarlet Akumas' attack on the world and had disappeared six months ago.

Guess now we know why, she thought.

“I am no longer Ladydragon. I am Darkdragon!”

She kicked Queen Bee in the stomach, sending her flying.

“She! Hu!”

Darkdragon turned into a snake-tiger hybrid.

“Great, she has combo transformations,” Queen Bee muttered as she got to her feet.

“And that’s not all,” Lady Snake-Tiger said.

A small red lion-like creature flew from her fur.

“Is that a Kwami?” Carapace asked.

“Not exactly,” The creature replied, “You may call me YanLuoShi,” in a flash of light, he turned into a statue that grew bigger until it smashed through the roof and towered over them.

“We’re going to need a bigger Charm,” Rena said.

Chapter Text

YanLuoShi shot beams from his eyes.

“Shell-ter!” Carapace cried, but the forcefield turned to dust.

YanLuoShi shot again, and the heroes scattered, leaving a crater where they had been standing.

Lady Snake-Tiger pounced on Ladybug.

“Lucky Charm!”

The crowbar disappeared and was replaced with a shield, which Ladybug used to block the hybrid monster’s poison fangs.

Kung Food’s minions closed in on Chat Noir, Carapace and Rena.

“You are surrounded!” Kung Food told them.

“Surrounded doesn't mean defeated,” Chat Noir retorted and extended his staff until it hit Kung Food in the face.

“Ah!”

YanLuoShi stood over the heroes.

“This is useless! You cannot–”

He froze.

“Thanks for making yourself a bigger target!” Queen Bee said from his feet where she had jabbed him.

“No!” Lady Snake-Tiger cried, “Xiong! Tang!”

She transformed into a bear with a mantis’s head and pincers.

“Okay, that’s terrifying,” Queen Bee admitted as she and Ladybug dodged Lady Bear-Mantis’s giant pincers.

Carapace used his shield to bulldoze through Kung Food’s minions, Chat Noir and Rena Rough following in his wake.

“Cataclysm!”

Chat Noir used his power on Kung Food’s hat.

Ladybug managed to get away from Lady Bear-Mantis long enough for her to catch the Akuma as Kung Food’s former minions looked around in confusion.

Lady Bear-Mantis growled, “Long! Hou!”

People ran and screamed as Lady Dragon-Monkey towered over them.

She sent lightning at the heroes.

“Lucky Charm!”

Ladybug got a lightning rod, which grounded the lightning strikes.

Lady Dragon-Monkey grabbed Ladybug with a giant monkey hand.

“Let me go!”

“I think not. I know a lot of people who want to see you again.”

She began to fly away.

“Oh no, you don’t,” Chat said. He and Carapace crouched and joined hands.

“Chloé!”

Queen Bee ran toward them, and when she stepped on their hands, they launched her at Lady Dragon-Monkey.

“Venom!”

She jabbed Lady Dragon-Monkey, who froze and fell to the ground.

“They just never learn,” Queen Bee huffed.

After the fight, they had destroyed all the chrysalis and were so exhausted they decided to stay the night.

They joined Wang Cheng and LadyDragon, who they had learnt was named Fei Wu, at one of the many campfires.

Fei told them her story, “My step-father was the guardian of the cave this was hidden in,” she showed them the Prodigious, “Until he was killed. I became a thief in exchange for information on the man who killed him.”

She sighed. “But one day, during one of the Akumas sieges on Shanghai, the man who claimed to be looking for the information tried to flee. I confronted him about leaving without giving me what I wanted. We started to fight, and in the struggle, he dropped my father’s bracelet.”

“I knew then he was the one who had killed my father and that he had tricked me into dishonouring everything my father had taught me. I started beating him to death.”

“Fortunately, I was close by,” Wang said, “I overheard enough to understand what was happening and convinced her that her father wouldn’t want this for her.”

“So I spared him and turned him over to the few police who weren't busy defending the city. I didn’t know at the time what was in the cave, but I realised what was inside might help us defeat the Akumas, so when the eclipse that allows it to be opened came, I did so.”

“Which is where she met me,” The former YanLuoShi, whose true name was Mei Shi, told them, “She passed my tests with flying colours.”

“You managed to keep the Akumas at bay pretty much single-handedly,” Alya said, “Even here in France, we heard the stories.”

“Until one day, they got the jump on me, and you know the rest.”

Fei curled in on herself, “I don’t want to imagine what I did in the time I was one of them.”

Marinette put a hand on her shoulder, “It wasn’t your fault. You’ve done more than almost anyone to stop them.”

“Well, we’ll do more when we reach the Miracle Box.”

“We?”

“Yes, I’m coming with you.”

Chapter Text

The next morning, Marinette and Fei said their goodbyes to Wang before he left with the people who his Akuma self had brainwashed for the camp, and the heroes drove in the other direction.

A full day went by when suddenly the van was knocked over.

“Now what?” Marinette asked.

They transformed and got out the back door.

The Akuma was a young woman dressed in armour which was a mixture of Eastern and Western designs.

“I am the Knight Defender! You shall not pass!”

“Ma!”

Lady Horse charged at the knight, who dodged effortlessly and knocked her over.

“Venom!”

Queen Bee tried to paralyse her, but she used a shield to block the top.

“You have no business being a hero, Chloé Bourgeois!”

She knocked her back with the shield.

“Shell-ter!”

Carapace tried to encase her in a forcefield, but she just smashed through with a sword.

“You have gotten bolder, Nino.”

“Mirage!” Rena cried, and a fog encased the area.

“You must be Alya, the new friend.”

She blocked a hit from Chat’s staff.

“Here’s Adrien, the boyfriend.”

Ladybug threw her yo-yo around her sword and tried to pull it away.

“And Marinette, poor little Marinette, who needed me to defend her.”

Ladybug gasped, “Socqueline?”

Knight Defender pulled on the yo-yo, bringing Ladybug toward her.

“After all she did to you, you trusted Chloé with a Miraculous?!”

“She has changed! Lucky Charm!”

She got a shield of her own and used it to push Defender away.

“Ying!”

Lady Eagle swooped through the air and snatched Defender’s sword.

“Hey!”

Ladybug slipped off Defender’s shield while she was distracted.

“Hey!”

“Cataclysm!”

Chat Noir used his power on her armour.

“Hey!” She said one more time before a Scarlet Akuma came out of the remains of the armour.

They took time to help Socqueline recover.

“I can’t believe I attacked you,” Socqueline said.

“It wasn't you,” Marinette reassured, “You are not any more responsible for your actions while Akumatized than anyone else who has been in your position.”

Socqueline sipped some coffee. She watched Chloé giving her Kwami some food with a smile on her face.

She’s changed so much. I guess an apocalypse has a way of making you set your priorities straight.

“Our destination is only a few miles away,” Alya said, “We can continue once we send Socqueline on her way.”

“I’m not going,” She told them.

“What?” Marinette asked.

“I may not have a magic piece of jewellery, but you need all the help you can get.”

“Socqueline–”

“And if you fail, you’ll become Akumatized and catch up to me long before I could ever reach this camp.”

“She does have a point,” Adrien admitted.

“Plus, if you don’t take me, I’ll just follow you on foot.”

Alya laughed, “I like her.”

And so another joined their journey.

Chapter 8

Chapter Text

The van approached an old church.

“This is the place,” Rena said.

The group approached and entered the front door.

“Ah, my young friends,” said a voice, “We have been expecting you.”

“Master Fu,” Ladybug said.

“Furious Fu,” The voice corrected.

“You know why we’re here,” Chat said.

“Yes, but first, there are some things you should know, for example, the identity of Hawk Moth.”

“He’s trying to distract us,” Rena said as they searched the shadows.

“It turned out he’s your father, Adrien.”

Chat Noir froze, “You’re lying.”

“I wish for your sake that wasn’t the case, but alas.”

There was real sympathy in his voice.

“He can’t be… why would he?...”

“To bring back your mother, she fell sick because she used the Peacock Miraculous to create you while it was damaged.”

“Create me?! What are you talking about?!”

“That's what the Peacock does. It creates creatures from emotion. On Heroes’ Day, your father’s assistant was caught trying to get to the Peacock Miraculous, and we got the whole story from her, how your mother tried for so long to have a child, how she turned to other means when that didn’t happen.”

“You’re making this up.”

“Am I? Adrien, raise your hand.”

He did so.

“Put it down.”

He lowered the arm.

“Why am I doing as you say?!” Chat asked in fear.

“Because I have your parent’s rings, the ones your mother put the feather in that allowed her to create you, now subdue your friends.

Chat tried to grab Ladybug, but she jumped away.

“Adrien, fight this!” She told him.

“He can’t,” Fu’s voice told them, “And he’s not your only problem.”

Twelve more figures reveal themselves.

“Hey guys,” Princess Fragrance said, “We missed you.”

“So we came here to welcome you to the winning side,” Timebreaker said.

All their old friends were here and had them surrounded.

“Came now,” Fu said from a podium, “You must have realised it was a trap.”

Horrificator used her slime to bloke the door. There was no way out.

“We have been planning this for a long time. I allowed myself to be seen to lure you here. We put all those Akumas in your path to wear you down. And now we will take you back to Paris and make you like us.”

“You’ll love being Akumas,” Princess Fragrance told them.

But they weren’t going without a fight.

“Long!”

Ladydragon shot lightning at the Akumas.

“Please don’t make this difficult,” Reflekta said and shot at Carapace, who used his shield to redirect the blast at several of their opponents who were not happy to be transformed

Dark Cupid shot arrows at Rena.

“You’ll never hit me with one of those in a million years!”

Queen Bee managed to paralyse Timebreaker before Riptose confronted her.

“Adrien, please!” Ladybug begged.

“I’m sorry, Marinette,” He sobbed.

“You are formidable,” Furious Fu said, “But six is not enough to defeat us.”

“Six?” Reflekta said, “We spotted seven on their way here.”

Furious Fu’s eyes widened, “The Box!”

Knowing she wouldn't be much good in a fight, everyone had agreed that Socqueline could best help by sneaking in the back and going for the box while the others distracted the Akumas.

From the sounds of fighting, she could tell there were a lot of Akumas. They needed help.

She spotted the gramophone Marinette had described and inputted the code.

She took out the box and opened it. The top section was empty except for a blue brooch.

She picked it up.

There was a flash of light, and a Kwami appeared.

“Hi, I’m Duusu. Have you rescued us?”

“We’re in the middle of the rescuing, but the others need help. Do you mind if I use your Miraculous?”

“Of course! Fu fixed my Miraculous, so it’s safe to use now.”

“You’re Miraculous was damaged?”

Something hit the wall.

“Never mind, we’ll talk about that later. For now, could you explain how your Miraculous works?”

Duusu had just managed to do so when Furioud Fu teleported into the room.

“Stop!”

“Duusu, spread my feathers!”

She transformed and brought out her fan, “You may call me Guanyin.”

“I would prefer to call you thief! Phantom palms of the awakened!”

An invisible force pushed back Guanyin.

“Urgh! Looks like I need backup,” She picked a feather off her fan.

“No!” Furious Fu tried to stop her, but she put the feather into an old mug.

A rhino Sentibeing came into existence.

“A wise man–”

The Rhino knocked him away before he could finish.

“Thank you, I’ll name you Rhino Ram.”

She stepped over to the unconscious Furious Fu and started to look for his Akuma object.

The heroes were losing.

“Adrien…” Ladybug said as Chat Noir was about to hit her with his staff, only to stop inches from her face.

“I don’t know what happened, but I’m in control again,” Chat said before swinging his staff at an Akuma.

“Something must have happened to Furious Fu!” Riptose said, “We must–”

Rhino Ram, being ridden by Guanyin, burst through the walls and into Horrifacator.

“Need a hand?”

“Uh oh,” The Akumas said, sensing the tide turning.

Ladybug finally had some breathing room, “Lucky Charm!”

She got a dart gun.

“No mystery what I’m supposed to do with this.”

Ladybug started shooting the Akumas, and they fell unconscious. The remaining Akumas tried to escape, but the heroes kept them inside as Ladybug shot them with darts one by one until none were left.

She collapsed from exhaustion, “We did it, we won.”

As their de-akumatized friends came to terms with what had happened, Marinette sat outside.

“May I join you?” Master Fu asked.

She nodded.

He sat beside her.

“I messed up so bad that day,” Marinette said.

“I know what it’s like to live with a mistake like that,” Fu told her, “My mistake resulted in the fall of the order of Guardians and losing the Miraculous of the Butterfly and the Peacock.”

“How do you live with that?”

“One day at a time, Marinette, one day at a time.”

Once their friends had pulled themselves together, they agreed to use the remaining Miraculous.

The Kwamis revealed that Scarlet Moth was being kept in Paris to create more Scarlet Akumas.

The nineteen heroes and the Guardian set out at once.

It was time to go home.

“And so for this world against all odds, hope rises again.”
