Chapter Text
Sun was gladly prancing around the daycare, cleaning stuff up, organizing the (many) bottles of disinfectant, and just keeping the place in shape for the kids! As he cleaned up some mysterious stain near the ball pit, he heard noises in his head. He was momentarily concerned and scared but then remembered about his ‘other half’. Moon, almost the opposite of the Sun all the kids love, was grumbling about something. Either it was his ramblings about science or criticizing Sun, most likely being the ladder option with how often Moon does that.
After cleaning the rest of the daycare, the daycare attendant went up to the room he and his ‘brother’ shared. Since only Moon really came up here, Sun was shocked to see how utterly disgusting it was!! Sun ran into Moon’s specific room that he made himself and flicked on the mirror to talk to him more directly. After a few moments, Moon appeared in the mirror staring into the eyes of the yellow animatronic before him.
“Would you like to EXPLAIN to me WHY our room is so messy and disorganized?!” Sun demanded immediately, which didn’t surprise Moon as he just spoke with the same monotone voice he always had whenever his ‘brother’ asked him a ‘stupid’ question.
“It’s where I sleep most of the time, I don’t care about how clean it is around here, my space.” He shrugged.
Sun stared in disbelief.
“Are you kidding me?! THERE’S DISMANTLED BOTS IN HERE!!” He pointed to the dismantled animatronic… bot… thing which was currently leaking oil onto their ‘bed’ which was just a mattress on the floor.
Moon stared back at him, “...okay,” then just went back to thinking.
“MOON!! This is an issue!! This place is a… and excuse my language, GOD DAMN MESS!!”
“It’s not your fucking problem.” Moon’s tone was more aggravated now.
Sun gasped at the use of profanity.
Moon instead rolled his eyes and looked away from his brother like an angsty teen. Sun, meanwhile, was staring at him like an angry parent waiting for him to say sorry. Of course, the two brothers didn’t say anything to each other for a while. Sun thought he was right and Moon thought his brother was reacting too harshly. It’s just a bit of mess, what's the problem with that? Sun couldn't stand the mess, it had to be perfect or he'd (quite literally) break down. The dirt and grime at every crevice made him extremely anxious and he couldn't focus on one thing to clean first. He started with the mirror he'd been staring at for the past 8 minutes (yes he counted), then worked around the room, completely ignoring and probably forgetting about his 'brother' who was currently watching him impulsively clean everything. Moon would occasionally notice Sun cleaning something over... and over... and over until he snapped out of it and went onward to the next messy section of the room. The darker animatronic watched his 'brother' more intently, somewhat curious about what was going through his mind. He could just view his thoughts of course... but something told him not to. He had a guess what was going through his stupid head though. Just 'clean up! clean up! clean up!'. He sorta felt pity for him, finding that Sun's programming made him pathetic in Moon's eyes.
After everything was cleaned, Sun plopped onto the mattress and let out a big sigh. Moon had left the mirror and Sun didn't even realize it, so he shut it off without recalling why he had the mirror up, as he was too caught up in his obsessive cleaning thoughts among other things. He mostly prepared for the lights to shut out and to be thrust into a world of pain, which he thought Moon always enjoyed. The daycare animatronics never communicated properly and always assumed facts about the other... one more observant than the other. That wasn't necessarily a bad thing, but it wasn't very positive either. Sun's thoughts wandered through every missing child poster, knowing more would stack up every year. He's almost... technically 6 years old, and so many kids have 'disappeared' all because of- well, he can't just blame him.. can he? They both don't like sharing a body, who would? But the way he acts... it's not right in this circumstance. He wished he knew why Moon did all of it, but it was too late to ask. The noises of the lights shutting off echoed through the silent daycare, and soon every noise slipped from Sun as his body was overtaken by Moon and he was pushed inside their mind.

Chapter Text
Earth loved her partner, a lot. After staying in her therapy office for… gosh who knows how long? Watching Barbie movies, Lunar came through the door followed by Monty.
“God-” Monty exasperatedly answered as xe stayed behind the smaller animatronic, “Can you tell them to not act all professional when someone enters the door?? It’s getting frustrating…” Xe were gesturing to Lunar as xe spoke of the issue, but they honestly didn’t seem fazed.
“Xe said xe booked you for… 6 pm. Shall I kick xem out for showing up 30 minutes early?” Lunar tilted their head at Earth, not breaking out of character for even a second.
Earth laughed, not noticing how Monty almost turned into a red gator instead of a green one, then patted Lunar on the head, “No no, it’s okay Lunar.”
Lunar smiled smugly and ‘moonwalked’ (he just walked backward) out of the room. Before they could though, they looked at Monty and raised their ‘eyebrows’ (he doesn’t have any but pretend he does okay?) in a joking manner. This greatly annoyed the gator and xe stared at Lunar until they left.
The two were left alone in one of the quietest rooms the two had ever been in, leaving them to look at each other awkwardly. They didn’t realize that a lot of time had passed until Earth remembered something.
“Oh! You wanted to do a marathon with a show or something you thought I’d like… right?” She smiled warmly as her partner remembered too.
“Yes! Uh- I really think it’ll be right up your alley, I’m sure you’ve uh- heard of it from like… the kids in the uh daycare.” Xe stuttered a little as xe were desperately trying to look cool for xyr girlfriend, but failed anyway. Not that Earth really minded anyway.
Earth’s head tilted with interest, something Monty noticed with every celestial sibling, even Solar did it occasionally.
“I’ve… heard of it?” Earth thought for a little, “Oo! Gravity Falls?”
Monty almost burst out laughing, “Close! I dunno if that’d be your kind of show honestly… heheh-”
Earth realized the show, “The Owl House!!”
Monty nodded and was taken aback as Earth hugged xem. Monty was a little confused, but hugged back and lightly kissed her on the cheek. After she let xem go from the tight hug, she chuckled a little and was a little embarrassed.
“Not to be… y’know- rude or anything… but I was worried you’ve already seen it since Solar mans the whole… theater thing.” Xe shared, but Earth was quick to answer.
“Well,” Earth replied swiftly, “Solar doesn’t have access to non-fazbear-related shows, as the whole computer thing he has blocks him. I’ve also told him not to pirate things but I’m not sure if they’re listening to me at this poin- oh, sorry I’ve been talking for too long haven't I?”
But when Earth looked at Montgomery, xe were looking at her politely and listening. This wasn’t rare obviously but it wasn’t common to see xem actually be genuine about appreciating xyr girlfriend. She chuckled again, a little quieter.
“Lets… go watch it at my place!” Monty held Earth’s hand and guided her out of the room.
Earth nodded, “Wherever is the most convenient for you Monty!”
Lunar watched smugly as the adorable pair walked through the streets, watching their dear sister go on a date with technically their co-creator in a way was strange but Lunar genuinely did not care. He shut the door to the therapy building and decided to draw a little near the fireplace.

Chapter Text
Inside the pizzaplex, the daycare to be specific, kids were being picked up by their legal guardians to either go home or to go see the Glamrocks play. The attendant was smiling as all the kids were telling their guardians how fun every activity was, plus happy the frustrating children were (mostly) being told that ‘acting like that isn’t a good thing’ by their mom, dad, or just parental figure in general.
After a while the last kid was picked up, it was around 8 pm, since their parents weren’t… the best and were late. Sun would’ve told someone but nobody really would believe him, who in their right mind would believe that a robot made by Fazbear Entertainment knew that a child was struggling? They have talked to him before, telling him about all the stuff they can’t tell anyone else. He’s found comfort in talking to them and them the same. He understood a lot of their struggles, especially since they were one of the more ‘mature’ and older kids, around the age of 11. Sun found them very kind, plus they helped him a lot with taking care of other kids.
But enough of that, he doesn’t have to deal with kids for the next 10 hours!! If he’s lucky, maybe even 14 hours, which would be much appreciated.
Sun started cleaning the daycare again, it being one of the things that keeps him from doing… bad things to himself. He didn’t want to fall back into that habit, mostly because it didn’t help him… or he was just terrified anyone would find him out. That’d be terrible! What would the kids think? What would… Moon think? After he broke out of his thoughts, he moved to the desk to organize again.
He tried to ignore the thoughts that kept getting worse, eventually making him throw the glitter glue he was holding as hard as he could, startling himself. His rays quivered and he clutched his wrist out of habit, glad that he didn’t feel any pain from doing so. He stood there in shock for a little, confused as to why he did that, but went and picked up the- now dented– glue bottle. His hands were shaking although Sun wasn’t sure why. Everything was fine, nothing was wrong. He just threw something to snap himself out of the violent thoughts that felt like they were infecting his mind, like the Vanny virus all over again but worse
As he kept cleaning, he wondered if all of this was how Moon felt, except somehow more amplified. Even from the beginning, Sun always had thoughts like that as well, never acting on them obviously, but they were there. Thoughts like shoving a crayon into his eye were common back then whenever he held one, but every year they just got really bad, especially after Eclipse was taken out the first time. He couldn’t keep the thoughts in his mind and accidentally said them aloud a lot, weirdly around Lunar more often than Moon or anyone else.
He always blames himself for this stuff, although Moon always tells him he can’t control that stuff and that everyone has those thoughts and he shouldn’t be ashamed of them. Earth says it could be something in his brain or whatever but she also told him ‘I can’t diagnose you with anything though so…’ and then they talk about other things that’s been bugging him. If he just ignores the thoughts, they’ll go away… If he just ignores the thoughts, they’ll go away… If he just ignores the thoughts, they’ll go away… If he just ignores the thoughts, they’ll go away… If he just ignores the thoughts, they’ll go- Oh, he’s done cleaning the daycare. It’s been… oof, 2 hours. He was going to go up to his room to unwind but was interrupted by an email alert. That’s strange, it’s from that kid’s grandmother. The only reason that their grandparent would email him is that something happened to either the parents or the child, if he had a heart it would have been beating a bit faster.
As he sat down on the cushion and opened the email on his hand flap screen thing, seeing as it was titled ‘News about Elli’ Sun immediately sat up at once. As he read, he wanted to throw up, although he couldn’t.
Elli, the kind kid he was talking to today, had killed themself after their parents kept harassing them about gender and sexuality… aka being transphobic and homophobic to the poor child. They had… he couldn’t read anything else. His mind cluttered as terrible thoughts ran through his mind. Some of these thoughts included:
‘Why didn’t I say anything?!’
‘I knew they weren’t okay-’
‘This is all my fault!’
‘If only I did something to stop this…’
‘They needed help and I KNEW that!’
‘NO NO NO NO NO NO NO!!’
‘I’m so sorry Elli…’
Among… other things.
Sun curled up into a ball and started crying, feeling at fault for the suffering of the poor kid. He clawed at his rays which were retracted so far in his head it hurt, making light scratch marks appear on the sides of the metal plate he called his skull. Sun wasn’t doing alright, breathing fast and quick although he didn’t need to. He knew what this was, but couldn’t do much. He started calming down… at least the best you could after that stuff. Shaking, Sun would bring his wrist into his view. He stared at it. He stared for a while. His mind was flipping a coin over and over, yes, no, yes, no, yes, no… over and over.
After a bit, he decided. He wasn’t in the right state of mind, Bloodmoon’s laughs entered his head which scared the shit out of him. He shook more as he stood and walked around to his room. Moon was off with Solar doing whatever they would do, so he could do this by himself. He looked around and spotted what he was looking for. He picked it up, a shard of metal he stored in the couch cushions ‘just in case’. He wasn’t sure why he kept it after he stopped, but that wasn’t the yellow animatronic’s focus.
He locked himself in a spare room, one where no one ever went. He unwrapped the ribbons around his wrists, wincing from the memories of his old… it doesn’t matter. The scars were gone since he got a whole new body not too long ago. As he held the metal shard above his right arm, he froze. Was he sure about this? This isn’t… this won't do anything. He pushed the thoughts away, the pain he felt right now couldn’t be fixed without external pain overriding it. He pushed down into his wrist, hard but slow. Pain rippled through his arm and to the rest of his body, making him whimper a little. Oil stained his pant leg, he felt the cold liquid drop from his wrist to the floor and stain it. His programming made him want to immediately clean it up, but he accidentally goes deeper and slices his wrist again while standing. Sun struggled to not yowl out in pain and lifted his left hand up to his mouth, shutting his eyes out of pain and dropping the oily shard. When he opened his eyes again, his hand pulsed with pain as oil poured out onto the floor.
He regretted it immediately when he realized what he had just done. Sun breathed shakily, finding that his hand lacked a bit of mobility due to oil loss. He winced and looked for a rag to cover and stop the bleeding of the cuts.
"God damn it..." Sun whispered through gritted teeth as he tied a small towel around his wrist, it turning black with the leaking oil, "I'm such an idiot-"
He stopped himself from continuing. He didn't want the thoughts of killing himself to get worse, they were already whispering terrible ways to him. He kept cleaning the oil off the floor and picked up his ribbon. After the bleeding stopped, he would put it back on, but it hasn't yet so he'll keep it tied around his top left ray. He made sure there was no trace he was there and unlocked the door.
His eyes stung... had he been crying? Probably, he just didn't notice. Suddenly, he heard the noise of movement on his right. Sun panicked, was Moon back already?! No no- he can't see him like this. Sun ran into the daycare castle... balcony... thing, then onto the couch to pretend to sleep. He hid the injured arm under his pillow and put the extra ribbon into the cushion, then he waited.
Moon entered the room, seemingly exhausted as he didn't pay much attention to Sun.
"Goodnight Brother." He said, before entering his destroyed room and playing some games probably.
'Goodnight… and I’m sorry…' Sun thought to himself.
