Work Text:
Sitting on a chair while waiting for her and her teammates fates with Coco wasn't as horrible as she thought it was going to be, of course while she wasn't afraid, she was deeply sad and guilty.
All of them worked so hard, Pac, Febatista, Jv, Gumi, while she wasn't even able to do that much, all of them were so kind and comprehensive to her, and she ruined everything...
Looking at Coco and giving one last hug, Shubble felt her conscience starting to leave her.
Shubble tried her best, but it still wasn't enough, they were going to be eliminated, and she only hoped Coco would send her message so Aimsey and their team could finish what she wasn't able to.
These were her last thoughts before her vision grew darker and her mind went blank.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"-ble!"
"-ubble!'
"Shubble!"
Upon hearing her name, Shubble quickly woke up and opened her eyes, seeing the sunny sky, not so bright but also not so dark, looking around she saw a flower camp, though what shocked her the most was what was near her, actually who was near her.
"You're finally awake! i was getting worried, i'm glad you're okay." The angel which she was familiar with for the past days was looking at her and smilling.
"F-Febatista? what happened? where are we?" She had gotten up and still looking around she saw many animals around in many place, she looked the most at some seagulls on a large lake, they kind of look like the ones Gumi had before they were killed by Cellbit and Baghera...
For a few seconds he looked at her with an expression she wasn't able to tell and finally answered her "Shubble...i'm so sorry." and that answered her question, it seems like they finally had gone to rest, and feeling an extra weight on her back and head further confirmed it..
"You don't have to say sorry, in fact, i should be the one apologizing, i was the last one to help-" before she could continue, he cut her off.
"No! i should've helped you more! you were the only one of our team who was still able to help, you shouldn't have to be alone at that time..." She guess she wasn't totally alone, since Coco was there, but it didn't mean he had to blame himself.
"You guys would've been able to help more than i have, it was my fault."
"No, it was my fault Shubble!"
They were both trying to convince the other wasn't guilty of anything, with no positive results, until two more people appeared ending the small discussion.
"Okay, lets agree that we ALL did a good job, we fought until the end and if we had more time we would have won this." Jvnq appeared holding some dirt blocks while Gumi was holding a few small animals while smiling at her, both of them also had wings and halos.
"Yeah! we were really good! none of you should blame yourselves."
Shubble and Febatista looked at each other before realizing that their argument was kind of stupid and they all tried their best, upon realizing that, they let a small laugh escape their mouth before going on their direction, while a question was growing at her mind.
"So, what happened with Pac? he was still alive right?" JV opened his mouth and started explaining while they walked towards somewhere.
"Well, yes, he's from Quesadilla island and a few of them like Bagi, Tubbo, Etoiles, Badboyhalo and Mike, had been forced to join Purgatory, i think it's so none of us would all die by anything on the first day...at least he's going back to his family." Upon saying the last words he gave a little smile that implied that he was happy for Pac, which also was the case for the other three.
Shubble hopes Pac doesn't come here very soon...
The flying squirrels would wait for their team leader for an eternity if it meant he would have a longer life than they did.
"Though, what are we gonna do now? i got so distracted with this place i have no idea on what to do." Gumi had a point, she also didn't know what to do, and by looking at JV he also had no idea, Febatista was the one who knew and answered them.
"We fly towards freedom and do whatever makes us happy." He smiled at them and they smiled back, when they finished walking they sat at the edge of a cliff, only looking at the sun growing with a peaceful silence, they had a new place to call home, and a new chance at enjoying their lost years.
