Undertale Yellow - The Aftermath (Discontinued)

Summary:

A discontinued choose-your-own-adventure novel based around Undertale Yellow.

Usually, I'd just delete, but like some other stories of mine, this is an OG work for a lot of these tags, and I'm too narcissistic to part ways with that fact :P

Chapter 1: Introduction

Chapter Text

* Knowing how to best follow along with your story fills you with JUSTICE.

Before you begin your adventure, HUMAN, you should know a few things. Rules, if you will:

  • Your story will contain multiple ROUTES. You will be clearly informed when your choices have changed your ROUTE.

  • Throughout your story, you will need to choose your outcome. You should follow choice instructions. For example, if a choice says "Unavailable to x route", then you should not go down this path if x is your current route. If a choice says "Only use once", then if you use this choice, then revisit that chapter, you should not use this choice again. Not doing this may cause the timeline to collapse in on itself.

  • If a choice has not changed your route, it just means your on the same route as you were before going down the path. It does not mean your route is blank, or no longer existing.

Well then, HUMAN. Continue?

* You choose to go to the NEXT CHAPTER of your story, CHAPTER 2.

Chapter Text

Hmm... this is different.

You are a twenty-year-old student, a little tired of life. You fancy yourself something of an explorer in your spare time. Over the years, you've heard rumours of a mysterious place where children have gone missing, filled with monsters. Recently, Clover, a friend's brother, went missing.

There is no hope for you after college. You will likely pass, but then what will you do? Work a minimum wage job for the rest of your life? Hey, you'll even earn a dollar over. You can spend the rest of your life as an adult doing adult things.

Do you remember what you said? "I never want to be a grown-up." Grown-ups are boring, aren't they? But now... come on, buddy. I don't need to convince you any further.

* You wake up for college ... your story is in its third chapter.

* You take an extra hour of sleep; you'll be needing it for the adventure! ... your story is in its fifth chatper.

Chapter Text

* Your story's route is quite MUNDANE

Hey now... what are you doing?

Don't you want to go on an adventure?

Let me guess. These thoughts are just childish? Do you need to start acting your age?

Right...
But what about Clover? Think about how happy your friend would be if you found their brother. They may even love you... that is what you want, right?

You'd be a hero, with the love of your life and the whole town's praise. You could be famous. You could be rich. You could be loved. Adored.

Are you really going to throw all of this away to learn algebra?

* You wake up for college ... your story is in its fourth chapter.

* You take an extra hour of sleep; you'll be needing it for the adventure! ... your story is in its fifth chapter.

Chapter Text

Fine then! Go on, live your mundane life! Marry some random person you don't truly love, have children, get divorced, and ruin their childhoods with your petty drama! Watch them grow up and leave you in the nursing home! What yourself forget them as you deteriorate into nothing!

Clearly, you don't need my assistance. Goodbye then, vessel.

You feel a sting in your chest for just a moment. As quickly as it came, it was gone. You feel indifferent. Time to get ready for college. Your thoughts got quite dark there; it must've been a nightmare. Oh well, it must be the stress from examination month. You've got this!

* YOUR STORY HAS REACHED A VERY MUNDANE ENDING...

Chapter Text

After an hour-long lie-in, you wake up with a strange feeling in your chest. For some reason, you need to do something, desire to make everything right. It's as if you are determined. You get up. After eating, cleaning your teeth, showering, and getting dressed, you leave the house and walk towards Mt. Ebbot, opposite your college. You hear a few buzzes from your phone, likely fellow students wondering where you are.

After a few hours of tracking, you reach the top of Mt. Ebbot. They say that the children have gone missing, whereas Clover has gone missing. That feeling in your chest rises. The rope you have with you will likely get you done safely but will break on your way down. Once you're down there, that's it.

And if you die... no one will ever know. God, your family, your friends, they'd be heartbroken. They'd never forgive themselves. You would throw them into a storm of torture that only ceases when they are dead.

"Why couldn't I be there for them? My child..."

"I am sorry, I guess I wasn't good enough, huh?"

"Please come back to us... one day..."

...

You can turn back, you know?

* You need to stop being so reckless! You turn around ... your story is in its sixth chapter.

* You won't die... Clover needs you! ... your story is in its seventh chapter.

Chapter Text

* Your story's route is quite MUNDANE

You decide to turn around, heading back to your house. You ring the college reception with a fake cough, letting them know you are sick. You insist that you will revise whilst at home to the best of your ability, which you will. After all, you have examinations to pass. You've got this!

The feeling in your chest is all but gone.

* YOUR STORY HAS REACHED A VERY MUNDANE ENDING...

Chapter Text

You throw the rope and carefully scale the walls of Mt. Ebbot; just as you are about to make it all the way down, the rope snaps. You fall a couple metres, landing safely, but the rope has fallen from much higher. You can only get out now if there is another way. For some reason, you just feel as if there is... there has to be... there's that feeling in your chest again.

You look around. It seems you have landed on a flowerbed. Despite this place being uninhabited, the cave morphs into a hallway, too perfect and symmetrical to be natural. Are the stories of monsters true? You feel adrenaline beginning to pump through your blood as you race down the hallway, curious to see what will be on the other side.

You stop at the corner as you hear light breathing. Nervously, you poke your head around the corner, and your mouth goes wide. In front of you, a white, anthropomorphic goat appears to be caring for some flowers.

* You grab the goat lady's attention ... your story is in its eigth chapter.

* She is distracted by the flowers; you sneak past her ... your story is in its fifthteenth chapter.

Chapter Text

The goat lady turned around and soon dropped her watering can. Standing up, she looks down at you. She must be at least a foot taller.

"Oh! Oh my... you must be! No, no, or are you?" The goat lady seems not composed for a moment, taking a deep breath to steady herself. "You... you must be one of those, right? A human?"

* You smile and take a dramatic bow ... your story is in its ninth chapter.

* You stand awkwardly ... your story is in its tenth chapter.

* Nows your chance! Strike the goat lady; deliver JUSTICE ... your story is in its sixteenth chapter.

Chapter Text

* Your story's route aligns with someone who is an EXTROVERTED PACIFIST

The goat lady looks confused for just a second before a grin appears on their face. With a laugh, they clap. "Well, isn't this just marvellous!" They look over the moon. "And here I was worrying that the next human that fell down would be some kind of brooding killer."

You tilt your head a little. Brooding killer? The goat lady notices your apparent worry. "Ah... It's a long story. Luckily, we have all the time in the world, even if you want out of here." You ask the goat lady for her name. "Oh, sorry, young one! I forgot all about it. My name is TORIEL, and I am the caretaker of the RUINS. What's your name, dear?"

* You give your name; Toriel smiles ... your story is in its eleventh chapter.

Chapter Text

* Your story's route aligns with someone who is a REGULAR PACIFIST

The goat lady scrunches her face a little. "Well, I see you're not too talkative, hey? My name is TORIEL, and I am the caretaker of the RUINS. And your name is?"

* You decide to give your name; Toriel hums ... your story is in its eleventh chapter.

* You decide that now is your chance to run! ... your story is in its fifthteenth chapter.

Chapter Text

"Now, before we get going, do you have any questions?" Toriel asks.

* You ask about brooding killers ... your story is in its twelfth chapter (available to only the extroverted pacifist route).

* You ask about where you are ... your story is in its thirteenth chapter.

* You inform Toriel that you have no more questions ... your story is in its fourteenth chapter.

Chapter Text

"Ah, well..." Toriel pauses, looking down and fidgeting slightly. "You see, our monsters and your kind have not always had a good relationship... who am I kidding? We haven't had particularly good relations since before I was born. But it all really kicked off again recently after the king, ASGORE, started taking the souls of children who came down here... Recently, some kid came down here, looking for the other children. I... I didn't tell them, of course; they had a weapon on them, so I thought it'd be best to let them live in bliss. But... never mind."

* ... your story is back in its eleventh chapter.

Chapter Text

"We are in the RUINS, my dear. It is an old part of the UNDERGROUND, where humankind has trapped us since our great war. Of course, there are other places, such as SNOWDIN, DUNES, WATERFALL, HOTLANDS, CORE, and THE CITY, but this is where I choose to live.

SNOWDIN is a wonderful place, though it's a bit chilly for my liking. There are all kinds of colourful people in that area. They're a hardworking community, quite close to one another.

DUNES is the opposite. It's a desert area, far too warm for a fluffy monster like me. Still, the people are just as colourful and just as hardworking. Though, I believe there are more outlaws. Quite fitting, really.

WATERFALL is just breathtaking. One of my favourite places to visit. The water is a perfect, almost glowing blue, within dimmed caverns glowing with other blue and purple shades. My honeymoon was there...

HOTLANDS is a magma chamber. As far as I'm aware, the mountain we monsters are trapped under what used to be a volcano before we showed up and started harnessing its energy. I wouldn't go there if I were you unless you want to die of heatstroke.

CORE powers everything, developed by the king's royal scientists over the years. You, however, have no business being there. It's strictly prohibited!

THE CITY... I used to live there with the king. It was nice..."

... your story is back in its eleventh chapter.

Chapter Text

"Very well, dear, follow me. I'll guide you through this place. There are many puzzles, so make sure not to wander off!"

Walking with Toriel, you notice a few other strange monsters lurking in the halls. You pay them no attention under Toriel's advice, and they, in turn, pay no attention to you.

Eventually, you reach a puzzle, and Toriel asks you to press a switch. You do as requested, and the ground cracks underneath you. The last thing you hear is Toriel's panicked shout as you fall...

* ... your story is in its twentieth chapter.

Chapter Text

* Your story's route aligns itself with someone who is an INTROVERTED PACIFIST

As you explore this strange land, you sneak past every monster, not wanting to bring any attention to yourself. The mission is simple: find Clover. Find the others. Leave.

After sneaking around, you eventually come across a flight of stairs going down, with a couple petals lying on the top.

You look down the stairs; they're pretty steep. It would be a trek to go down only to come back up.

* You decide its best to see the goat lady after all; she looked like some kind of caretaker ... your story is in its eighth chapter (only available to those who have never been a REGULAR PACIFIST).

* You carefully go down the steep steps ... your story is in its twentieth chapter.

Chapter Text

* Your story's route has become a REGULAR NEUTRAL

"Hey!" The goat lady raises her voice, stepping back to avoid your striking. However, you do manage to land a hit. "That's no way to treat a stranger, human!" As you continue to strike, the goat frowns. "Will you stop for a moment? I have some explaining to do!" The goat lady raises her hands in defence, summoning some flames.

* Deliver JUSTICE ... your story is in its seventeenth chapter.

* You show mercy ... your story is in its eigtheenth chapter.

Chapter Text

* Your story's route is that of a KILLER's

Suddenly, you attack; the enemy is taken off guard, taking a hit. The enemy begins to conjure a blazing serpent from her hands, baring its fangs at you. However, being quick, you bait it to strike, moving your SOUL out of the way before lunging yourself at the enemy. She attempts to counter-attack with fireballs, and they do hit you, leaving some nasty burns on your arm.

The fight continued for minutes, but it was OK. You will deliver JUSTICE. It is what you came here to do.

Suddenly, you feel that feeling in your chest again. Just like that, the fight is over. The enemy is lying on her knees in front of you, a shocked look on their face. The face soon morphs into a horrified reaction to the blood soaking through her dress.

Weirdly, the enemy begins to cackle. As she laughs manically, you back away a few steps; there is no reason for you to be close. She lectures you on how she thought you needed saving and how the others need protecting from you. You pay little attention as the enemy turns to dust. You have delivered JUSTICE.

Who knows how many monsters down here may have tormented them, tormented him, and will torment you? It may be best to deliver JUSTICE to every monster in this place. To be safe, of course!

* Deliver JUSTICE ... your story is in its nineteenth chapter.

* There is no need to target everyone; you decide to explore, going down a steep flight of stairs that appears to have a couple petals at the top ... your story is in its twentieth chapter.

Chapter Text

You lower your weapon, and she drops her hands. For a brief period, there is calm. "See, not too hard, right?" The goat lady chuckles dryly with a tinge of both relief and sadness. Eventually, you exchange names; she tells you her name is TORIEL and that she is the caretaker of the RUINS.

Toriel offers to show you around.

* You need all the help you can get; you take Toriel up on her offer ... your story is in its eleventh chapter.

* Nows your chance... deliver JUSTICE ... your story is in its seventeenth chapter.

Chapter Text

* GENOCIDE

Over the next hour, you deliver JUSTICE to the first floor of the RUINS... After ensuring that every monster has been removed, you do some exploring. You notice a few petals at the top when you come across a steep flight of stairs. You go down the stairs; nothing besides dust is left on this floor.

* ... your story is in its twentieth chapter.

Chapter Text

The first thing you notice is a bed of petals, not unlike the first bed you fell upon when arriving at this place. You press on further through the room. Eventually, you come across what appears to be a talking sunflower. Before you can even react, it turns to you, smiling.

"Howdy!"

* ... your story is in its twenty-first chapter (available to only any PACIFIST route).

* ... your story is in its twenty-fourth chapter (available to only a REGULAR NEUTRAL route).

* ... your story is in its twenty-fifth chapter (available to only the KILLER route).

* ... your story is in its twenty-sixth chapter (available to only the GENOCIDE route).

Chapter Text

"I'm FLOWEY, FLOWEY the FLOWER." The flower in front of you looks almost disinterested, as if entirely bored. "You must be new to the UNDERGROUND, yada yada- WHAT?!"

For a moment, the flower goes, disappearing into the ground. It is only a short time until it's back, though. "So, I really am seeing you, huh? Well, golly, another HUMAN! And another one of mercy, too... well, that's a good trait. Well, until you sacrifice yourself for the good of the inferior race, anyway." The flower does an awkward cough. "Well, ignoring all that history you don't care about, what's your name?"

* You tell Flowey your name ... your story is in its twenty-second chapter.

* You ask Flowey about the sacrifice ... your story is in its twenty-third chapter.

Chapter Text

"Well, it's nice to meet 'ya, pal. Now, I will cut to the chase since I wasted so much time with the last HUMAN that came down here." In front of you, you suddenly find your SOUL within a white box with various options underneath. "Welcome to fighting monsters, pal. See these white pellets? White stuff like these are projectiles and can damage your SOUL if you touch 'em, so don't do that. Uh... what else? Oh yeah, I almost forgot! Touch green projectiles, and they'll mend your SOUL. Isn't that cool?" You nod in confirmation: this fact is, in fact, cool.

"Now, I'll be honest," Flowey continues, "this place is a shithole. Like, really shit. Nothing ever happens down here. So, follow my directions, and you'll end up in Honeydew Resort, which leads into SNOWDIN. From there, I'm sure we'll make it to the king in THE CITY in no time!" You note to Flowey that you can't afford to die. If it had eyebrows, it would surely raise them.

"Well, obviously. Luckily for you, watch this!" In front of you, Flowey goes from being a flower to a shining, fluctuating diamond before turning back. "See this? I'll leave these dotted about for you. They're SAVE POINTS. If you die, I'll load you back to where you last SAVED, just like a game! Now, that's definitely cool, right? Good. Oh, and dying will still be painful, so don't get too reliant. Now, go on! Head north."

Flowey disappears into the ground, and the diamond reappears.

* You approach the diamond ... your story is in its twenty-seventh chapter.

Chapter Text

Flowey looks mildly agitated. "Like I said, ignoring all that history that, hint-hint, you don't care about, how's about you just tell me your name?"

...

"Fine. The last HUMAN that ended up here was some kid with a toy gun. He's a really nice guy; I'm not sure who gave him the gun since it was a bit useless. Anyway, he showed up, did a load of HUMAN things, then decided at the end that, rather than help me... help him, get the fellow HUMAN SOULS from the king so he can escape, he'd just sacrifice his own SOUL for the sake of monster kind instead... Yeah, I said he was nice; I didn't say he was intelligent. Now, can you just tell me your name, pretty please?"

* You tell Flowey your name ... your story is in its twenty-second chapter.

Chapter Text

"I'm FLOWEY, FLOWEY the FLOWER... Well, well, well... nearly. Did you feel it, the adrenaline? You know, Toriel used to be my mother... yeah, it's a long story. The point is, you nearly killed my mother. Oh dear, if you had done that... Well, nothing would've happened. Anyway, I'm trying to say you've got... potential."

You tilt your head at Flowey's pause.

"Yeah... you've got a lot of potential, huh? You could be just what I need right now, HUMAN. I'll strike you a deal: I'll help you get to the king in THE CITY, and, in return, I get the other SOULS, and you get out of here. Now tell me, what's your name?" You give Flowey your name. It seems as if you have no choice but to agree to his deal if you want out of here. After agreeing, you ask about fighting in case you need to do it again.

In front of you, you suddenly find your SOUL within a white box with various options underneath. Isn't that cool?" You look concerned, asking what will happen if you die. Flowey rolls his eyes. "How the hell would I know? Am I dead? Nah, I'm just kidding; watch this!"

In front of you, Flowey goes from being a flower to a shining, fluctuating diamond before turning back.

"I'm FLOWEY, FLOWEY the FLOWER... So, you killed Toriel, 'ay? Gotta admit, I wasn't expecting another HUMAN so soon... and man, what a treat this is: a HUMAN who knows how to kill. That'll make our job easier. Hmmm... I'm getting ahead of myself. What's your name, pal?"

You narrow your eyes.

"Now, don't try any funny business with me. I can help you. Watch and learn, friend." In front of you, Flowey goes from being a flower to a shining, fluctuating diamond before turning back. "See this? I'll leave these dotted about for you. They're SAVE POINTS. If you die, I'll load you back to where you last SAVED, just like a game! Now, that's definitely cool. Good. Oh, and dying will still be painful, so don't get too reliant. So... now will you give me your name?"

You give Flowey your name.

"See, we're already best of buds! And hey, come to think of it, I don't have to waste time teaching you how to fight. That's cool. Now, if you want out of here, just follow my directions, and you'll end up at the Honeydew Resort. A pretty good place to be if you need more people to kill!" Flowey laughs. "Now, that leads into SNOWDIN, eventually leading to THE CITY. From there, just kill the king and get us out of here, will you? Thanks!"

Flowey disappears into the ground, and the diamond reappears.

* You approach the diamond ... your story is in its twenty-seventh chapter.

Chapter Text

"I'm FLOWEY, FLOWEY the FLOWER... Wow, you really like killing things, huh? Well, I'll tell you this: you're useful. In fact, you are the most useful HUMAN I've ever seen down here so far. Now, if we work together, we can get revenge for those other HUMANS and get you out of here at the same time."

You step closer to Flowey.

"Hey, partner. You got a problem?"

You step closer to Flowey, who raises a wall of pellets around you.

"Now, listen, pal. I'm not here to harm you. My proposition may be suspicious. What do I get out of it? Well, it's simple. I want the king dead. I want ASGORE dead and buried, but I'm not strong enough. But you also need that if you want to get out of here. So, our end goal is mutual. Fancy not trying to kill me, partner?"

You step a little back, and the wall of pellets vanishes.

"Good. Now, observe." In front of you, Flowey goes from being a flower to a shining, fluctuating diamond before turning back. "See this? I'll leave these dotted about for you. They're SAVE POINTS. If you die, I'll load you back to where you last SAVED, just like a game! Now, that's definitely cool. Good. Oh, and dying will still be painful, so don't get too reliant. Now, if you want out of here, just follow my directions, and you'll end up at the Honeydew Resort. A pretty good place to be if you need more people to kill!" Flowey laughs. "Now, that leads into SNOWDIN, eventually leading to THE CITY. From there, just kill ASGORE and the mission is done, alright? Good. One last thing, what's your name, pal?"

You give Flowey your name.

"Cool." Flowey disappears into the ground, and the diamond reappears.

* You approach the diamond ... your story is in its twenty-seventh chapter.

Chapter Text

As you approach the diamond, Flowey reappears. "Boo! Missed me? Too bad, pal. I can't be out all the time. Otherwise, I'll get all rough and vitamin deficient. Now, I'll save your progress here, and then you can get a move on."

Suddenly, there is that feeling in your chest again. You feel powerful. You feel invincible. You feel righteous... it fills you with a longing for JUSTICE.

* ... your story is in its twenty-eigth chapter.

Chapter Text

After walking further down the ruins, you notice a cloaked figure walking up ahead, muttering to themselves. It has horns and may be another goat monster; you wonder if it is Toriel's child.

* You call out for the monster's attention ... your story is in its twenty-ninth chapter (only available to EXTROVERTED PACIFISTS).

* You quietly follow the monster ... your story is in its thirty-ninth chapter.

Chapter Text

The monster turns around quickly, its hood falling down with the speed. "HUMAN!" It trips on its words. You quickly realise that this is no child of Toriel's. Judging from the fashion and fangs, you're looking at some kind of vampire.

Suddenly, the monster rushes towards you, leaving you little time to respond. You close your eyes, waiting for your SOUL to be ripped from your chest. Yet, the sensation never comes. You open your eyes, and the monster looks down at you curiously, almost with a hint of cautiousness. Finally, the vampire speaks again.

"Are... are you alright?"

You inform the monster that you are quite alright, offering a handshake. The monster's eyes widen for a moment before quickly shaking your hand. "You know, this is... nostalgic. My name is DALV, what's yours?"

You happily give your name to Dalv.

"Dare say, you must be another HUMAN. It hasn't been long since the last one came down and sacrificed themselves... to us, not just to me. I know I may give off that look."

* You tell Dalv that he looks good just the way he is ... your story is in its thirtieth chapter.

* You suggest that perhaps friendlier fashion could help ... your story is in its thirty-first chapter.

Chapter Text

Dalv smiles. "Well, if you say so. Come on; if you're anything like the others before you, you want out of here, right? I'll lead the way. There's a quick path to Honeydew Resort through my house. It's a lovely place, you'd like it. That'll lead to SNOWDIN, and... well, if you're as strong as you look, I'm sure you'll get past the big man in THE CITY. You'll be home scot-free.

* You ask Dalv about the last HUMAN ... your story is in its thirty-second chapter.

* You ask Dalv to lead the way ... your story is in its thirty-third chapter.

Chapter Text

Dalv nods. "My apologies. Perhaps one day you could teach me a bit about fashion yourself. So, are you a real explorer? It's a nice look regardless."

You tell Dalv that the answer is complicated. He nods once more.

"Right... Well, whatever the case, I imagine you want out of here. I can lead the way if you'd like. There's a quick path to Honeydew Resort through my house. It'll take you to SNOWDIN, which will take you to THE CITY... You might need to know how to fight if you want out of here."

You inform Dalv that you already know how to fight.
"Really? What monster could attack a HUMAN after the last one showed up? My apologies on our kind's behalf. There may be some lingering resentment down here in the RUINS. Don't worry, though; I promise it's nicer once you get out!"

* You ask Dalv about the last HUMAN ... your story is in its thirty-second chapter.

* You ask Dalv to lead the way ... your story is in its thirty-third chapter.

Chapter Text

"Ah... the last one of your kind who came down here. I remember him fondly, even if we only met briefly. Their name was CLOVER."

That's him.

"They didn't have the heart to kill the king in THE CITY. They decided that the monster kind had had enough oppression. So, they donated their SOUL to break the BARRIER."

They manipulated him.

For a moment, time stops. You contemplate the situation...

* Your admiration of Clover has only increased. You express your condolences, and ask Dalv to lead the way ... your story is in its thirty-third chapter.

* Deliver JUSTICE ... your story is in its thirty-seventh chapter.

Chapter Text

Dalv leads the way to his house. It's quite a gothic look and suits him well. You jokingly ask if he plays the organ, to which he confirms that he does. You'll have to hear it sometime.

"So, are you ready to be off?"

* You ask Dalv whether he's lonely ... your story is in its thirty-fourth chapter.

* You confirm that you're ready to go ... your story is in its thirty-sixth chapter.

Chapter Text

The vampire seems taken aback by the question. "No, no, I do not get lonely. Before CLOVER showed up, yes, I felt lonely, but he showed me the value of true compassion, as cheesy as it sounds." Dalv sighs. "Come on, let's go. You'll get to meet so many of his friends."

* You inform Dalv that you are a close friend of Clover's brother ... your story is in its thirty-fifth chapter.

* You confirm that you're ready to go ... your story is in its thirty-sixth chapter.

Chapter Text

Dalv is definitely taken aback by this, at least. "Wait, what?"

You explain that you went looking for CLOVER on behalf of your friend and the other missing HUMANS. He asks if you're now missing too.

"Let's go," you reply after a pause. A frown is evident on Dalv's face.

* You fight back the tears ... your story is in its thirty-sixth chapter.

Chapter Text

"Well, I suppose this is it." Dalv hums. "It's much too cold for me out there, and, honestly, I quite like here in the RUINS... even if it is a little derelict. Besides, someone's gotta tell Toriel another HUMAN has arrived."

You ask Dalv to tell Toriel that you made it out of the RUINS safely and look forward to meeting them both again someday. "Thanks, friend. Please... remember us folk down here. We're not as outgoing as you, but your friendship is appreciated."

The vampire is smiling. "Oh, and... let us know if you want to sacrifice yourself." You nod, smiling back.

"Alright, be good out there, my friend."

* You wave goodbye to Dalv, and exit the RUINS ... your story is in its fifty-fourth chapter.

Chapter Text

* Your story's route is that of a KILLER

That sensation in your chest has returned. The fight is sudden and only lasts a few seconds. A blink leaves you with the murky memory of snuffing out the vampire's candle. You can feel it now, that yearning for JUSTICE. Whether or not you sense regret is impossible to tell, at least for now...

Through some exploring on your own, you eventually run into Dalv's house. The door is unlocked. The house is quite gothic.

Fitting, isn't it?

* You explore the house a little, opening a large closet ... your story is in its thirty-eigth chapter.

* You decide there's nothing here worth your time. You exit the RUINS ... your story is in its fifty-fourth chapter.

Chapter Text

You open the closet and see a balloon. Another opportunity to deliver JUSTICE... you pop the balloon.

Really?

* You decide there's nothing here worth your time ... your story is in its fifty-fourth chapter.

Chapter Text

As you follow the monster, you are split off several times. Each time, you hear more of its rambling. Ramblings of memories, good and bad. Ramblings of friendship and learning compassion. Ramblings of sacrifice and death. You ponder whether any of this is worth all this hassle. The monster is quite intriguing, you must admit, but if it's rambling to itself on its own, God only knows what it'll do if it spots you. Then again, you've spotted it first...

* You do your best to sneak past the monster ... your story is in its fortieth chapter.

* You quietly tap your foot a few times as to not startle the monster ... your story is in its forty-first chapter.

* You decide to perform a sneak attack ... your story is in its fiftieth chapter.

Chapter Text

* If you were on the path of GENOCIDE, you are now on the path of a KILLER.

You tip-toe behind the monster, waiting to move past them. Perhaps they'll get distracted by something. Luckily for you, they soon do, taking in the view of a maze of corn.

As subtle as you can, you enter the maze. Your heart rate skyrockets as you hear them ask, "Who's there?" — you were spotted.

Running now, you go deeper and deeper into the maze. At this point, you're confident you're not being chased. So, true to your rebellious nature, you simply cut your way to the other side of the maze now. After all, it's only corn; it's not exactly high art.

You tell yourself it's the fault of whoever decided to stuff a maze between you and freedom. Damned corn-growing puzzle lovers.

After some looking, you find a save point and approach the diamond. Not before long, Flowey appears from underground, a puzzled look on their face. "Really? Saving already? You haven't even got into a fight since we last spoke!"

You tell Flowey you can't be bothered sneaking around the strange cloaked monster again. He rolls his eyes.

"God forbid you must do that intense, ten-second task again. Have you ever considered that saving costs me energy? Don't get much sunlight down here, you know?" Despite the complaining, you feel something in your chest: Flowey has begrudgingly saved your progress. "Now, go on, hurry up. I stole this; you'll be needing it."

You obtained a key marked RUIN DOORS.

"The doors are down the path around that weirdo's house. I'll meet you on the other side." With that, Flowey vanished once more under the ground.

* You make your way to the doors, and exit the RUINS ... your chapter is in its fifty-fourth chapter.

Chapter Text

* If you were an INTROVERTED PACIFIST, you are now just a REGULAR PACIFIST.

The monster turns around, intrigued. After a second, you hear a gasp. "Oh... oh my..." Despite the cloak, you can now see that the monster is shaking. "Another one... Another HUMAN... I mean, hello there, stranger!" The monster pulls its hood up, revealing a vampire's appearance. "Are you new to the UNDERGROUND?"

* You lie to the monster, and ask them the same ... your story is in its forty-second chapter.

* You nod your head ... your story is in its forty-third chapter.

* You step forward in silence ... your story is in its fiftieth chapter (only available to the KILLER and GENOCIDE routes).

Chapter Text

There's a strange silence for a moment until it is broken by the monster laughing. "Oh, come on, stranger. I've been down here my whole life. Trust me, I would know if a HUMAN came down into my lair... we'd all know. Especially after the last one. What's your name?"

You give the monster your name.

"That's a very nice name. I'm DALV."

* You ask Dalv what he means by "my lair" ... your story is in its forty-fourth chapter.

* You ask Dalv whether he knows a way out of this place ... your story is in its forty-ninth chapter.

Chapter Text

"I see. Well, my name is DALV, and this is my lair! How about you? What's your name?"

You give the monster your name.

"That's a very nice name."

* You ask Dalv what he means by "my lair" ... your story is in its forty-fourth chapter.

* You ask Dalv whether he knows a way out of this place ... your story is in its forty-ninth chapter.

Chapter Text

"Ah... well, you see," Dalv goes quiet for a moment. "This part of the RUINS, I used consider it mine. I am the strongest monster here, and I... well, I'm not sure. Things have just turned out that way. I remember back in the past, I wouldn't ever talk to the other monsters down here. No, I'd just wander. However, since CLOVER arrived, I've tried to get to know the monsters here better. It's not really my lair; my apologies. I'm still getting used to this..."

* You assure Dalv that it's not that big of a deal ... your story is in its forty-fifth chapter.

* With more important matters, you ask Dalv how to get out of here ... your story is in its forty-ninth chapter.

Chapter Text

The vampire nods in understanding. "It's OK, it's OK. My apologies. Well, with that out of the way, what brings you down here?" A smile appears on Dalv's face again.

You tell Dalv that you are a friend of CLOVER's brother. To say that the monster's jaw drops would be an understatement.

"Oh... Oh, Christ. Well, that was unexpected. Not that it's bad, not at all! But this place... this place is not safe for you."

You ask what he means.

"If the royal guard found out a friend of the brother of CLOVER is here... man, they'd lose their minds. They'd be on high alert, thinking you were here for revenge or something... you're not here for revenge, right?"

* You nod, and enter a battle ... your story is in its forty-sixth chapter.

* You shake your head. You tell Dalv that you want to get out of here ... your story is in its forty-ninth chapter.

Chapter Text

* If you were on the route of a PACIFIST, you are now on the REGULAR NEUTRAL route.

Dalv looks caught off gaurd by the sudden escalation, and it allows you to get a few strikes against him immediately. As much as he tries to fight back, the information overload of your relation to CLOVER and the suddenness of your attack causes his defences to weaken significantly.

Now's your chance...

* Whatever you reasons may be, you decide to show mercy to Dalv ... your story is in its forty-seventh chapter.

* You perform the last strike ... your story is in its forty-eigth chapter.

Chapter Text

* If you were on the path of GENOCIDE, you are now on the path of a KILLER.

"What?" Dalv looks horrified at what just occurred, yet relieved. "What... what the hell was all that about? In fact, don't answer that."

You remain silent.

"Here, take this; it's the key to unlock the RUIN DOORS. They'll lead you outside. You should leave this place until your head is clear enough to not attack me unprovoked.

You obtain the key.

"Now go. I'm sure MARTLET can deal with you instead. She was always better at this stuff than me..." Dalv sighs. "Goodbye, 'friend of CLOVER's brother.'"

* You make your way to the doors, and exit the RUINS ... your story is in its fifty-fourth chapter.

Chapter Text

* If you were on a NEUTRAL route, you are now on the route of a KILLER.

In just a few moments, the vampire is dusted. You take a moment to get your breath back. The kill was easy, but you had to admit, it took some endurance. Still, poor Dalv never stood a chance, not standing against JUSTICE.

Wiping the sweat off your brow, you pick up a key sticking out the dust. It's labelled RUIN DOORS.

* You make your way to the doors, and exit the RUINS ... your story is in its fifty-fourth chapter.

Chapter Text

* If you were on the path of GENOCIDE, you are now on the path of a KILLER.

"Of course. Of course, you want out. Hold on a minute." You stand in silence, watching the vampire rustle through their pockets. Eventually, they exclaim, "There you are!" Dalv then proceeds to offer you a key marked RUIN DOORS. "This key will get you out of the RUINS. Then, you can continue on your merry way, my friend. The doors are just down that path, past my house. That's the big one, there."

You obtain the key.

* You make your way to the doors, and exit the RUINS ... your story is in its fifty-fourth chapter.

Chapter Text

* If you were on the route of a PACIFIST, you are now on the REGULAR NEUTRAL route.

"Hey, now!" The monster turns around as it feels you suddenly lunge. The hood falls down, revealing a vampire. "What on Earth? You, stop— what the? Another HUMAN?— Stop that!"

The vampire is under an information overload.

* Eventually, you stop attacking, demanding the way out of this place ... your story is in its fifty-second chapter.

* For a moment, you fake mercy, approaching them quickly, making a peace sign with one hand. You have other intentions ... your story is in its fifty-third chapter.

Chapter Text

The monster raises an eyebrow. "HUMAN?"

You take another step.

"HUMAN, are you alright? I did not mean to patronize you with the question if that is the problem."

* You tell the monster that you want out ... your story is in its fifty-second chapter.

* You take one last step; now you're ready to strike ... your story is in its fifty-third chapter.

Chapter Text

* If you were on the path of GENOCIDE, you are now on the path of a KILLER.

"Alright, alright! Just give me a moment..." You stand in silence, watching the vampire rustle through their pockets. Eventually, they exclaim, "There you are!" Dalv then proceeds to offer you a key marked RUIN DOORS.

"This key will get you out, alright?" You quickly seize the key. "You're welcome..." The monster mumbles.

* You make your way to the doors, and exit the RUINS ... your story is in its fifty-fourth chapter.

Chapter Text

"Hey now, HUMAN, your actions are quite concerning—" The monster lets out a vitriolic scream as you suddenly dig a dagger into his chest. "HUMAN, you..!" They soon collapse. "Why? Why?"

You stare down at the monster. Looks like some sort of vampire.

"God... MARTLET, CEROBA... I—" Looks like dust.

* You take a key labelled 'RUIN DOORS' from the dust. You make you way to the doors, and exit the RUINS ... your story is in its fifty-fourth chapter.

Chapter Text

After you exit the RUINS, you are hit with a breeze of icey wind. The desire to be somewhere that won't leave you shivering, or worse, fills your chest with that feeling of JUSTICE... at least for your body temperature.

* To be continued ...
