Batman Little Stories

Summary:

Very small stories that will be with Batman, mostly him being the main character. These will either be my ideas or things I haven't seen that much of. Some of them will be way more fleshed put than the others, but I will try to keep them longer.

You use any of these for inspiration if you want, but please give credit. :)
And tag me or comment it so I can read it!

Chapter 1: 1 - DID

Notes:

(See the end of the chapter for notes.)

Chapter Text

So instead of Bruce acting in different ways to keep his secret identity, he has DID inspired by the Moon Knight show. Brucie is one alter and Batman is another. There can be a 3rd one where he is darker than Batman; this one can be called Dark Knight or something. There can be more if you can think of any more that will fit with Batman. Please don't make it gross or something, and I am not talking about him killing, torturing, or something like that.

I feel like this fits Batman because I think every one of his rouges has some mental issue. Batman most definitely has a mental issue but it isn't DID. I was thinking of how different his Bruce to Batman personas are, and I just thought of this, and I liked the idea.

It would be fun to include the Batfamily. I think this story would just be about interactions around the family and Bruce's alters. I think Bruce or B would be the umbrella term when referring to all the alters. It could be a fun chronological story starting with Alfred finding out about his DID that developed from his parent's death, and then maybe when the kids each find out about it. Also, the public doesn't know that Bruce has DID.

*All of these alters are inspired by the Moon Knight show, not copies. These are also my iteration of what I got from the show

Brucie: Like Steven from Moon Knight. If you haven't seen the show, Steven is more happy, nice, kind, and caring, he has an innocence to him and is just overall a very nice person. Bruice is the one to talk to the media and he is very social. He was made when Bruce's parents were killed. He knows that his parents are dead; he will talk about almost anything death isn't one of those.

Batman: Like Mark from the show. Mark is like Steven but darker, and harsher, and keeps close to himself, he also seems kind of scared of himself. Batman was the original, but ever since Brucie was made he refers to himself as Batman or just Bat.

Dark Knight: And like Jake from the show. Straight up kind of murderous. Knight came to be from Jason's murder, Knight cares deeply for his family just like the others but he will do anything to keep themself.

*A lot of this will make a lot more sense if you have watched the show, but I think you could make it if you haven't.

Notes:

I have pure intentions with this idea, I don't mean to offend anyone with my idea, and if I do/did I apologize. :)

Chapter 2: 2 - Young Bruce

Chapter Text

Young Bruce!

Batman is the youngest member of the Justice League, but none of the members know that. The thought of Batman being the youngest didn't even cross their minds, and the members most definitely didn't think he was the oldest; that title belongs to Wonder Woman. Why would they think he was the youngest with his unreadable face, his don't f with me attitude, his responsibility, punctuality, and many more things that make Batman Batman?

The Justice League found out Batman is the youngest member.

I can't think of how they would find out. :(

*When I am referring to the Justice League I mean Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Green Lantern, Martian Manhunter, Aquaman, and Green Arrow, but you can add more if you want but I wouldn't add too many more.

Chapter 3: 3 - Bryce Wayne

Chapter Text

Female Bruce Wayne AU :D

Bryce Wayne is a diamond beauty; no one would expect the girl to be 'The Batman'. Bryce didn't intend for people to think of her bat persona to be thought of as a man. She pressed down her chest since it could get in the way of her movement and vision at certain angles. She is also quite tall for a female, but around average for a male. Her figure is mostly hidden through the thick material, and her cape also contributes to hiding her figure. She added a voice modifier because statically a lower voice is more intimidating than a higher voice, her normal voice isn't as high as most girls but it is still high compared to a guy's voice. The voice modifier is just meant to make her voice lower, gruff, and unrecognizable.

Bryce does not deny or correct when people refer to her as 'Batman' because it adds more cover to her secret identity, but she does not refer to herself as a man since it sometimes can be important to know that she is a female rather than a male in certain circumstances, like for medical things.

Of course with the fact that everyone thinks Batman is a man, so does the Justice League think she is a man. Somehow she has not gotten hurt badly enough with the Justice League that she would need to be given medical attention at the satellite, she has gotten patched up there but she did it herself. None of the members with powers know she is a she because her uniform blocks that being detected with enhanced senses.

The Justice League finds out Batman is a girl.

Batman either gets injured so her gender is revealed or it is casually mentioned by her in some way, like maybe all the members are hanging out together and the girls are talking together about girl things-

I just want to say Batman always, when she isn't busy goes to the member hangouts so she can 'bond with her team' as Alfred said, so she usually stays quiet, but when she is talked to she will respond, and when she thinks she can add something to the conversation she will speak up. Though it took some getting used to for most of the members they have learned that when Batman isn't talking business she isn't too good a talking, so they accept her kind of awkward way of speaking to people. They don't even notice the awkwardness anymore.

-Batman casually adds her own experience as a girl and then all the members are like What?' (some members are already getting an idea) Batman is like 'What? You didn't know? I'm a girl.' and then everyone freaks or something.

*When I am referring to the Justice League I mean Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Green Lantern, Martian Manhunter, Aquaman, Green Arrow, and Black Canary but you can add more if you want.

Chapter 4: 4 - Picked Up

Chapter Text

Bruce takes in kids like how Catwoman takes in stray cats. Where did this come from?

Bruce has grown up watching Alfred adopt many stray animals, and he is now an adult; let's just say he picked up a thing or two.

Ever since Bruce could remember he would see Alfred giving food to stray animals, nursing the animals that were hurt and letting them back out, and he would adopt the animals that were either too old or injured to live on their own.

The "children" (everyone Bruce sees as his kid) of the Batfamily are curious as to why Bruce took in so many kids. He tells them why he started adopting stray kids; it starts with the man who raised him.

Snipbits of Bruce seeing Alfred taking care of stray animals.

Alfred started taking a bit more animals than normal after Bruce's parents died. After Bruce took in his first kid, Alfred steadily stopped taking in the animals, but he still goes out every morning to leave food out for the animals and still will fix up any hurt ones.

Chapter 5: 2.1 - Young Bruce

Chapter Text

MORE Young Bruce/Batman!!

But different idea

While on a mission with the Justice League, Batman gets hit with an alien device or magic spell/thing and gets turned into his younger self when he just got back from the League of Shadows (I think it was the League of Shadows, whoever he trained with), so right before he became Batman.

His Family:

Young Batman is way more reckless than his current self, and he is not ready for kids. Hell, even when he got his first kid, Dick, he wasn't ready. Bruce is just as smart and clever.

I can see Bruce getting into crazy shenanigans with the Batfamliy. The things he would usually 'sigh' or have a small smile now he is openly laughing and maybe even being an accomplice. The Batfamily knows of his "playful" side, but it is pretty rare to see it.

*When I am referring to the Batfamily in the former paragraph I mean everyone in the family that is not Alfred or Bruce.

I can also see this bringing up memories of Alfred and him telling the kids, they are all kids to him, about stories of before Bruce left for the League, and the stories of before he got Dick and maybe some of when he got him; those would also intrigue Bruce because that would be his future.

Justice League:

For the Justice League reaction, I was thinking after Batman got hit with something he passed out. Everyone is worried and some of the members are freaking out. Superman is on the brink of a panic attack because he is supposed to have Baty's back, so he feels really bad.

I feel like Wonder Woman and Martian Manhunter would be the most calm out of all the members, but whoever you think would be the calmest, takes charge they tell two of the members to take Batman to the med bay in the tower, and for the rest of them to help clean up the mess. I feel like whatever mission they were on, they made at least a bit of a mess. And the setting for the mission can be wherever, but I'm thinking somewhere where there are no people, like a forest.

Once everyone gets back to the tower they all go to the med may to check up on Batman, but guess what?... he is now younger!!! Most of them are like "Oh shit" or something, idk, and then they find out his mind has also regressed, so they're like "OH shit."

Little (more than normal, especially compared to the Justice League) Batman is skeptical of them, so they explain the situation to him by saying only Batman should know, like Alfred. His Batman clothes are too big for him since he lost muscle mass and a wee bit of height, so they give him clothes. (he is wearing a lead eye mask to hide his identity)

The rest of the story will just be the team's interactions with younger Batman, and how different he is outwardly. Some of them before this thought that he wasn't human or had no emotions or something. It's safe to say that young Batman comes as a shock to all of them.

*I would imagine that at this time, when he was almost starting/beginning to be Batman, Bruce is still getting into his 'Batman image' so his voice isn't as grungy.

Chapter 6: 5 - Meta Batman

Notes:

(See the end of the chapter for notes.)

Chapter Text

I want people (of DC) to be right when they think that Batman is a meta. (I don't usually want them to be right, but I think it could be fun, so just for this)

I haven't checked but I imagine that there are some fics where Batman has some type of power.

If you were to give him power, it can't be something too overpowered because that would take away from his character.

It could maybe be something that most people would think of as useless but in his hands is powerful. Like he can control shadows, but not in a cool power way; he can make shadows bigger, smaller, darker, and lighter. If I think about some random person having this power, it isn't that cool or amazing, it's kinda boring, it could be a good way to scare someone, but seeing it with Batman...

It fits! It's something small enough that it doesn't take away from his character; it gives the right level of pazzazz! (Is that a real word?) (Did I even spell it right?)

Another idea is for it to be something not flashy, and most people would not consider it useless; intelligence, healing, resistance, or something else all fall into this category. I like the idea of it being a healing power and resistance the most.

With a healing power, he will be able to get back to both jobs faster(with less suspicion for his day job) and he will be able to do more reckless things(if he needs to) I feel like the healing power shouldn't be to overpowered; it'll just take away from him. You have to decide on how fast he will heal depending on the certain injury.

Would also love to see Bruce get hurt and everyone be worried about him because he said something like "I'm fine" or "Nothing to worry about," and they are like "No he's not," "He is hiding his pain," or "This idiot" (idk, something like that) Bruce being oblivious when it comes to himself will think, "why are they worrying, I will be fine in a day." When in fact, most vigilantes with no healing power will be out for at least a week. He has not mentioned that he has a healing power because he deems it unimportant for people to know that they don't have to worry about him when he gets shot or something. Why? Idk

Making Batman have a resistance power can be very fun. Fear gas and all those gases will have less effect on him(for it to work how intended it will need to be super strong) but that also means that any medicine will need to be stronger too. This will be different from healing because it prevents/lessens him from getting hurt, not making him heal faster, but I can see some overlap. Like they both drink your average poison and be fine, one because it healed and the other because it didn't work.

OR The power can be something stupid like... He can taste better, which I guess can be useful with poisons, but I just see it as him being more picky with his food. Idk just think of something Bruce can't use when he is being Batman.

Chapter 7: 6 - Alfred

Notes:

(See the end of the chapter for notes.)

Chapter Text

I love Alfred (in a platonic way, I feel like I need to clarify that)

Just Alfred being a badass, he is in pretty much all Batman stories, but he is rarely the focus. :(

(And if they do focus on him, it is a short one-shot, a couple of scenes, or it is just for one chapter)

If someone asked me "Who is the best out of the Batfamily" I would say, Alfred because I don't think there is any universe where Alfred is an uncaring asshole. (If there is don't tell me, I love him, don't ruin him for me)

Alfred has just become the butler for the Wayne's. He has never been a butler before, he is a very clean and tidy person, so it should be just what he always does but on a larger scale. There are some other staff that tend to the manor, but not as many as you would think. I feel like the Waynes liked doing things themselves, not everything because they live in a giant manor. They dress themselves(might need help in making sure they look the best) they mostly take care of Bruce. All of that.

I hope that the last paragraph made sense. (basically, the Waynes don't have that many housekeepers because they like doing things themselves. They still have them because they live in a giant manor, and have a reputation to uphold, and I mean that by like their families and the cruel public. They also pay their staff very well.)

*I see the Waynes as people who are trying to be the best they can in the wickedness of Gotham.

I feel like Alfred picks up things fast, but when he first became Wayne's butler he was still getting used to things, so Bruce has seen Alfred make many mistakes.

I feel like Alfred used to be only able to cook, and he couldn't bake. His meals were above average but nowhere near his level now. He could not bake; he could follow instructions, but when he tried to make his 'own' recipe it always turned out bad.

He learns how to bake with little Bruce watching and we learn the reason Bruce is banned from the kitchen.

*you can come up with ideas about the details

Also, love to see Bamf Alfred being shown.

He was the first one to teach Bruce how to defend himself (against bullies.) Bruce has seen Alfred do some pretty badass things, and so has the rest of the Bat-family. It was a shock when they first saw how much of a badass he was. I could see them when a new family member joins (official or not) for them put bets or something on how they react when they see Alfred being more than a butler, or to see how long it takes for them to find out, so none of the family warns the new members about not having to worry about Alfred collapsing or something.

Alfred is the only family member that Bruce allows to have a gun in the manor or on him at all times.

*Alfred is like the grandpa, so he is really in charge, but he is still very loyal to Bruce, the Wayne Family, so it's hard to explain how Alfred ranks (in say so) in the family. Bruce is at the top with Alfred second, but there are times when it is switched. I hope that made sense.

Some cool scenes of Alfred doing things you would think he could do. Like maybe him having fast reflexes, he catches something that is falling while no one is watching (someone is watching), he caches it while someone is there maybe he catches it before them, or he dodges something. OR him being really good with a gun, maybe hunting, defending, or covering for one of the family members during a thing for some reason.

There are so many other things that can be added.

*I feel like Alfred was around Bruce's parent's age.

Chapter 8: 7 - Meet Young Bruce / 2.2 - Young Bruce

Notes:

(See the end of the chapter for notes.)

Chapter Text

Young Bruce meets his future self!

The Batfamily meets little Bruce.

I have seen this done a couple of times, but they make Bruce a cute kid, which I love, but I would like to see young Bruce depicted differently.

Either Adult Bruce goes back in time and meets his kid self, or Kid Bruce goes forward in time and meets his adult self, or both.

*Mostly inspired by this video: https://youtu.be/V5TdWiHaAR4?si=o_OHkCZfySr5VGIH

*By: _.iruka._
https://youtube.com/@_.iruka.._8680?si=1NjHDIleViwQm_Dv

*They have fun skits, you should check them out. :)

The audio they used was from the movie "The Adam Project," so this is also kind of inspired by that movie. If you can, and you haven't already, watch the movie; it has good comedy and story.

I love the way Kid Adam and Adult Adam interact in the movie, and I love the idea of Kid Bruce and Adult Bruce interacting like that.

*The movie has lots of comedy, so applies to this prompt as well.

Of course, if you watch the movie Adult Adam doesn't match Batman that well. I'm not saying you should rewrite the movie but with Bruce(you can if you want just try to keep Adult Bruce in character).

I'm thinking more of the same thing where Bruce somehow/for some reason goes back in time and meets his younger self OR past Bruce somehow goes into the future and meets his older self.

I like "Past to Future" a little more because of the 'Batfamily' and the shenanigans that they can get in with young Bruce.

Just Bruce hating his younger self and young Beuce being confused? Worried?- Something about his future.

*I imagine this (young) Bruce is from the time after his parents died, maybe a couple of years or so later. I feel like for this prompt to work when Bruce was younger he acted out a bit. He still became more reserved, but he would speak his mind more, and he would make "comments" (as Alfred would say.)

Notes:

Happy (late) New Year!

Chapter 9: 8 - New Dad / 2.3 - Young Bruce

Notes:

I wrote the word Dick so many times, I'm going to have to get used to that. I know Dick is a mostly old-ish timey last name and nickname, but it still feels wrong to write it even if it is a name.

I don't even notice it when I read it in stories unless they point it out. When I read it my brain is automatically like, "This is a name, no big deal."

Plus when I write, I mostly write when other people can just look and read what I am writing if they want to.

Same thing with reading too...

(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)

Chapter Text

Bruce adopted Dick when he was young, if he were his actual kid Bruce would have been a child or a young teen when Dick was born.

*Dick can either be adopted or Bruce's ward, but I feel like adopted would fit better.

Bruce was in his early 20's (20-24) when he got 9-year-old Richard 'Dick' Grayson.

I have always imagined that Bruce impulsively decided to adopt Dick without consulting anyone. He saw his parents die and got hit with that good ol PTSD, and how that probably affected Dick in a similar way it did him. Also, the fact that the kid got sent to juvie instead of an orphanage because of "it being too full," and him getting beaten there.

Bruce doesn't regret adopting Dick, but he wished that he would have thought about it more before making that decision. Don't get me wrong the outcome would have been the same either way. He doesn't have anything prepared for his arrival at the manor. Alfred is "magical" and always cleans the whole Manor, so a clean room won't be a problem, and there are clothes from Bruce's childhood that he can wear.

So what is the problem?

The problem is that Bruce did not tell Alfred; he is the type of man who would like to be prepared for things. Bruce is the same way, so I don't know why he wouldn't tell Alfred! But just like Bruce, Alfred is one to come up with things on the spot.

Bruce is having a hard time getting Dick to be comfortable with him. He seems a bit better with Alfred though, which does NOT hurt Bruce's feelings. Alfred suggests showing that he is vulnerable too, not just to tell, but to SHOW that he trusts and loves him.

*He connects with Dick about both their parents dying, but I feel like they need something other than that for them to become family.

Bruce lets a curious Dick to draw on his scars.

I can imagine it so well. Bruce lets Dick pick from an assortment of markers, hoping that he will choose the washable ones, but he does not, he goes straight for the permit Sharpies because he knew for sure that those were the permanent ones.

Tiny, small Dick thought it was kind of weird for Bruce to suggest this, but once he started he got into it; he was moving all around to get to different spots. Dick does not draw on his face even though he really wanted to.

By the end, Alfred had taken many pictures and it was past time for bed; Dick was very tired from making his "Great Masterpiece," so Bruce went to put him to bed.

This was the day that started "Dick Grayson has the best/warmest hugs!"

Bruce was the first one to experience it, and he definitely holds it over the rest of the Batfamily's heads. (He is very happy he was the first)

Notes:

Off the topic of Batman, but

Why is there no Martian Manhunter movie or show?
I looked it up on HBO and nothing came up (IYDK that is where all the DC stuff is at)

I asked my brothers "What main-ish characters in the JL don't have a movie or show, or haven't shown up in live-action?" (that's what we do on trips, ask random ass questions)

Martian Manhunter was one of the characters I thought of.

He is literally one of the main members: Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Green Lantern, Martian Manhunter, and Aquaman. He is part of the OG 7!

All the others have movies/shows but not him?

I don't think there is any piece of media by DC (outside of the comics) where Martian Manhunter, isn't just some supporting character.

He would be so cool to make a movie about!

A breath of fresh air for the DC franchise. His character is so versatile; he can shape-shift, so they can pick whatever male actor, maybe even multiple. (I've mostly seen him as a black guy, but in the comics he is white, and maybe Mexican in one, I couldn't really tell.) He is a green alien, I personally wouldn't really care, I would probably prefer for it to be something I am more used to, but as long as he is a good choice for the character.

It could be an origin story where he keeps shape-shifting throughout the story but by the end, he lands on the identity of John Jones.

(I looked up his age and Holy Shit! "255 million years," but it also says 255 years, so...

I don't know what is canon in the DCU..."

When I realized that he doesn't have a movie/show I was like "Wtf," and then while writing this I realized how much I would like to see a Martian Manhunter movie. If done well, it could be good for DC.

So maybe in the future.

*Praying that the future possible movie is good!

Chapter 10: 2.4 - Young Bruce

Chapter Text

Little Bruce thinks that all Waynes die before they turn 35. Alfred tells him that he is wrong.

A good angsty story that ends in cute fluff.

Bruce has only seen pictures of his family members before they turned 35 and his parents died before then as well. Bruce has never met a family member older than 35. He knows it's not everybody because a lot of people at the parties are older. Bruce concludes that all Waynes are fated to die before they turn 35.

Bruce is trying to accept that he will die before he turns 35.

Lots of kids come up with dumb things that aren't true, Bruce is no exception. This could also be part of some type of coping mechanism. Bruce has always noticed that all the family pictures and family members he has met have been younger than 35, but he never paid any attention to it till now.

It is a few weeks after the death of Bruce's parents. Bruce fell into a state of melancholy after he cried his little heart out. He has many nightmares, so Alfred has had to sleep in the same room as him just for him to get some rest.

Alfred cared for the Waynes very much and they also took a liken to him. He didn't expect the guardianship of Bruce to go to him. Slowly people have started to quit. Alfred is overwhelmed. Not only will he get through this, but so will Bruce.

Alfred finds Bruce looking very- trying to accept something. He goes to ask, thinking it will be about Bruce's parents. Bruce looks up at him with a face that looks so broken that it breaks his heart, that has been happening a lot lately. Bruce then says that he is trying to get over and accept, the fact that he is fated to die before he turns 35. Alfred quickly asks how he came to that conclusion, and Bruce tells him.

Alfred tells him that he is not fated to die before the age of 35, nor are any other Waynes.

"No?" Bruce's voice breaks a bit.

"No," Alfred says so simply, so like him that Bruce has no choice but to believe him. For the first time in a while, Bruce starts to show his emotions and cries.

This starts the very long process of Bruce healing from his parents' death.

I went a more narrative with this one.

Chapter 11: 9 - Wait.. He isn't a Persona!?

Chapter Text

Brucie Wayne is Batman's real personality.

Batman is the real act, he isn't that serious.

I have seen many stories where The Justice League finds out Batman's real personality, and (most of them don't show what happens after the reveal) he now acts as himself which most people make closer to Batman's personality.

So I thought what if after this grand reveal, he doesn't just get closer to the JL, but he acts way different than they expect.

Brucie is a bit of an exaggeration of his real personality. He flirts but more in a playful way, and the public calls him a playboy because of that.

After the Justice League learns of Batman's true identity, they now think that 'Brucie' is just an elaborate act to conceal his identity. Little do they know how much their opinion of him is going to change.

This needs to happen after the reveal of Batman's identity, so you can write that(prefered) or you can skip that, but if you skip it you'll have to give a summary of how they found out so the reader has some background.

After the shock of Batman's secret identity, the JL thinks the only things that will change will be that Batman now trusts them more, they will now be able to meet out of uniform, they get to be involved in his personal life(not too much), and they see Brucie, Bruce Wayne in a different light; he isn't what the media says.

It's the day after the reveal or whenever they meet again (after the reveal).

Let's say it's a JL meeting, everything is going on as normal just with Batman with no mask on; he going through the report of something (idk what they do at the meetings).

The meeting is adjourned and somebody says that they want to hang out. They think even if Bruce told them his identity that wouldn't make him suddenly want to hang out with them, but to their surprise he says yes. His voice sounded lighter than normal, but... No, it was probably their imagination.

Bruce is at the party; it's at a privately owned place, so it's just them and none of them have to keep up the act and can be themselves.

They notice, no, it's obvious, that Bruce is acting differently. He is acting like...

"Wait is...Brucie the real personality?"

They all look at him in horror.

"...No it can't be...Can it?"

When it's something important or serious or he is in uniform: Batman

When it's basically anything else: Brucie(normal him)

Chapter 12: 10 - Crossover: Ouran High School Host Club

Chapter Text

I LOVE Ouran High School Host Club crossovers! I wish people did more

Bruce goes to Ouran and meets/joins/friends with the host club

*This can also be fun with any of the other members of the family.

-

1. If you want to include the batfamily then Bruce gets de-aged to 15-19 years old (with or without his memories?)

OR

2. If you don't care/want them in the story it can be that he went to the school for high school (or the kids go back in time if you still want the kids but you also wanted Bruce to have gone to the school when he was young)

OR

3. Whatever you want

-

But first, we need to determine what type he would be if he joined the club. He is the most similar to Mori and Kyoya. Oblivious, part of it can be that. I love Bruce picking up on the small details of a case(and on other people), but when it comes to himself he is oblivious.

I feel like they would use the fact that Bruce's parents died and that he lived in Gotham, so maybe like "The Oblivious Traumatized Boy Type" Idk, feels a bit wrong, but that is along the line I am thinking.

And the type can change a bit depending on how you see Bruce, and if you choose 1 or 2.

1 and 2 also can overlap depending on how you do it.

Also, are you going to replace Haruhi or not? I personally don't usually like it when people replace the main character, but it really depends on how it is written, so do whatever feels best.

-

1st Way: Bruce gets de-aged and for some reason will go to OHS. He and the Batfamily(any amount of them) move to for a bit or are in Japan. Maybe he has a mission or that is what they picked as the best school for a billionaire child to go to.

-

2nd Way: I was thinking that if he went to it as a teen, they become friends then in the future when Bruce has all his kids they will meet his old friends from high school. They will think they were similar to Bruce and at most 2 friends. (They didn't even think he had friends from high school) So the kids meet the Host Club and are shocked at how they act and are all part of a "host club."

The Host Club would definitely all be important figures in the future, so the kids might know some of them.

-

I mostly am thinking about the interactions between Bruce and the host club.

You can make this a ship or not, but there at least has to be some bromance because this is OHSHC.

Chapter 13: 11 - Something's Wrong

Chapter Text

Inspired by this comic panel I came across:

((((It's not working, I think I need to do it on a computer, but that's to much work))))

{{Just in case you can't see the photo:

Batman is on the computer and says, "Huh."

Superman hears this and says, "What is it, Batman? What's the 'huh'? Because usually, it's 'Hrm.'"}}

Instead of Batman's usual grunts and "hrm's" he says something he never says, "huh."

The Justice League freaks the fuck out.

They immediately think the worst.

So after what happens in the panel, Superman tries to get Batman to elaborate, but he just ignores him.

Superman leaves and is trying to get past it, ignoring it, but he can't. He keeps thinking about it, and the reasons he comes up with are getting more and more absurd.

One of the other members of the team notices him acting worried/anxious and asks if he is okay.

"....Batman said 'huh'."

They are super shocked, "he what..?"

The team gets together and assumes the worst.

"What if it was just something personal?"

"Batman. At work? Never."

"Wh-what could it be?"

"..the world is ending?"

"A new villain?"

"Some technological problem?"

"IT COULD BE ANYTHING!!! But whatever it is, is nothing good."

Batman walks in and sees them so worried, that he worries and asks what happened. And they say "We don't know. What happened?" Addressing him.

Confused, Batman's eyebrows furrow a bit. Superman elaborates, "You said huh instead of hrm."

Batman looks at him and everyone for a minute, confused, then understands.

"Pfft." He covers his mouth. The rest of the team blushes, especially Superman. "Really?" He stops snickering. "That was just that our donations went up. It wasn't projected to go up, actually, it was projected to go down. I didn't expect it."

(I can't think of a good reason for him to say "huh," so you can come up with your own, maybe)

A collective "Ohhhh" and they are all really embarrassed now. They made the usually stoic Batman break character because of their foolishness.

Chapter 14: 12 - Idol Bruce

Notes:

Either Grammarly ain't working or I am getting better at grammar.

Chapter Text

Bruce becomes an idol

Ok, I have no real idea for what this should be, but maybe

Either make up your own idol world setting or Bruce gets put into an Idol world (like a manhwa, novel, or something)

I like the second one the best

This one relies a lot on you rather than my normal prompts where I give at least a part or some type of story line.

I can't think of any :(

This will definitely be a young Bruce fic. How young? That's up to you (lots of this is up to you)

Idk, maybe add some other characters from the DCU-

Know what? I just thought of a great idea to maybe add.

Ok, so what if Bruce has one or few of the kids that he has to take care of. It would be so cute! It would add something. He is training/is an idol and has to take care of crazy kids.

Definitely Dick, maybe Jason, and idk about the others. Don't add to many kids because Bruce should be on the younger side, and I don't like it when people add a ton of kids(as in little kids) to a story when it's not a pre-school teacher fic or something like that. Just too many kids. I would say at most 3, (but to me that is still too many, so maybe 2 at most.)

Oh, and keep and mind that this is Korea (maybe Japan, depending on what you want. When I think idol, I think Korea) and Bruce is American.

Chapter 15: 6.1 - Alfred

Chapter Text

Safe to say that Alfred is every member of the Batfamily's favorite family member.

How Alfred became everyone's favorite.

I love Alfred and I would like to see how the Batfam first loved him too.

This can be for as many family members as you want. Maybe even people that aren't in the Batfamily, like a love interest or friend of one of the members.

I see Alfred as the perfect middle person in the family. They wouldn't be a family without him(literally.)

He has silently been there, for all of them.

I'm thinking for this to be about the moment each of them realized that they loved Alfred, he was their favorite, their grandpa(or dad in Bruce's case or other if you do an outside character.)

And it doesn't have to be some big moment (like idk) it can be something small like having tea together late at night. Actually, I think I would prefer small moments like that. (Also I don't know what a "big moment" would be.)

It can be related to something they like, or Alfred just being there.

As for Jason, I can see that after some conflict or something with Bruce Jason is mad. Alfred notices and puts a cup of tea in front of him(and one for himself) and quietly, but not too quietly, starts to read a book. And Jason slowly starts to calm down, leans closer to Alfred to hear the story better, takes a sip of the tea, surprise! (Not really) he loves the tea and book. The book becomes one of his favorites and the tea is now his go-to.

And there can be so many other things to think of, not only for Jason but for the others as well.

Just a cute fluffy story that shows appreciation for Alfred.

Chapter 16: 3.1 - Bryce Wayne

Chapter Text

Batman gets turned into a girl. He does not care.

I was thinking, what if Bruce gets turned into a girl(however it happens), and he doesn't give a fuck.

So while the Justice League tries to undo the spell/alien device/thingamabob, Bruce continues to live his life like normal.

The JL members think that Bruce must be overwhelmed, disoriented, and wanting, waiting for them to fix this problem, but when they go to check up on Bruce/Batman he is acting like nothing has changed.

*You can decide whether or not they know Bruce's secret identity or not.

Batman is working on the computer, doing something. The JL is looking at him, her waiting for... something, anything, for Batman to act freaked out or something!

"Why are you not freaking out?!"

"Why would I be?" Still doing his, her work, not looking at them.

"Batman, you know you are a woman, right?"

"...So? I don't see the problem. Why would I be?"

"Because you are a woman!!!"

Someone else, "Hey, man!"

"You know I don't mean it like that!"

-

And the JL are NOT panicking; I repeat, they are NOT panicking.

-

Later, back at home.

Bruce tells the media about being turned into a woman, so he can continue to work.

*I imagine the fight or whatever happened in Gotham, so the people know about the gender change thing. It's just that they did not expect THE Prince of Gotham to be affected.

So, of course, the media goes crazy. The Batfamily is a little worried but overall is fine with this new development as long as Bruce is okay.

Maybe if you want to some of the other members of the Batfamily were also affected by the device, but don't make it all of them or something like that. It would take away from Bruce being the star of this story.

Chapter 17: 13 - Batfamily

Chapter Text

The Justice League finds out about the Batfamily, but Batman thinks they already know.

Bruce thought he told them it was very clear.

"No, I can't, I'm busy that night. I am going to a Wayne gala."

(JL thinking he is going as Batman) "Oh, okay."

"I will be the host."

(1/3 of the JL thinking that he is dating Batman) "Ok, good luck man."

(The other 1/3 thinking that this is because they are close; after all, Bruce Wayne is paying for most of this stuff.) "Okay."

(The last 1/3 thinking that Batman is just hosting the Wayne gala as some publicity stunt or something.) "K, see you."

(Batman leaving thinking that he just successfully told the JL his secret identity.)

-

"Is it just me, or has B-man acted a bit different lately?"

-

"Batman acts kinda like a father... What if he is one..." - The JL menos Batman

Later Batman mentions something about one of his kids

"You have a son?"

"You-" he frowns, "You didn't know?" (Confused because they should know about his kids through his secret identity.)

The JL meets the Batfamily.

The Batfam accidentally reveals all of their identities to the JL because they thought that Bruce told them already.

Cue a whole lot of confusion on both sides.

Remember communication is important. :)

Chapter 18: 6.2 - Alfred

Notes:

(See the end of the chapter for notes.)

Chapter Text

Ok, this one is a completely random thought

Alfred likes watching Telenovelas in his free time.

Each member of the family joins him. (separately)

I feel like Alfred would like them because they are so random; he would enjoy the drama.

And then when a (any) member of the family is walking around and sees what Alfred is watching.

They stay for a little bit...

"Why would Sam be that?! There was nothing in the story to even allude to her being that! Wtf!" (They somehow have watched 3 seasons already)

"Noooo! Pedro was obviously the better choice! Dave is a huge red flag!" (They mainly like it because of its ability to take them of guard, they see nothing coming.)

All the other kids slowly get sucked in, all watching the show with Alfred. (Of course at different times, so they don't know that they all now share a passion.) Alfred is just happy to spend time with his grandchildren.

(Bruce has already been roped in. It happened when he was a sad little kid. They now watch together every Tuesday.)

Somehow, a total coincidence, all of the kids decide to watch with Alfred at the same time.

It was hard at first, but now they all watch together on Tuesdays (yes, Bruce included)

The day(because they are busy at night) becomes a type of family bonding day. They mostly watch Telenovelas, but sometimes watch other things.

Notes:

Btw I have only watched like one Telenovela

Chapter 19: 14 - Contingency Plans

Chapter Text

Some think that the contingency plans are unfair but...

Batman has contingency plans for everyone, and that includes himself.

*He puts the same level of effort into everyone's contingency plans. He has more "passion" and better ideas for some rather than others, but that does not mean he thinks of them any less.

Batman made a contingency plan for himself, but he also told the other people he knows to make a contingency plan for him as well because what if when it is needed Batman already knew what the plan was (because he made it) and he tried to stop it?

He also gave people (other heroes and co) the one he made so that they could either edit it or maybe take inspiration.

Bruce's contingency plans didn't start with the Justice League, or even when Superman was first starting to be a hero; it started way before that.

The first contingency plan was for him.

With all the crazys in Gotham, Bruce had a fear that he might become one of them, so just in case he made his first contingency plan and gave it to Alfred. Alfred was, of course, against the idea but went along with it to make Bruce happy.

At first, Bruce didn't feel the need to write down his contingency plans; they were short and simple, and there were only a few, but then they grew in number, so he felt he needed to write them down to remember. He wrote more and more; they got more detailed and better. They didn't just have one way, they grew to be a web of plans.

(He should probably go to a therapist for the anxiety/ocd he most likely has, but nah)

Chapter 20: 15 - Besties!

Chapter Text

Despite what everyone thinks the Flash and Batman are great friends.

And it's not just because their apprentices(read: kids) are best friends.

I just find it funny to make them great friends with their differing personalities. I think I got this idea from the animated Flashpoint movie, where, at the end, Barry is telling his story to Bruce and then gives him a letter from his father. I just loved that scene so much.

*I don't know why, but I can never really see Bruce and Clark being best friends like lots of people make them be. I think it's mostly because in the fics I have read, none of them really 'show' them being BFFs but rather 'say' it. I can see them being friends but not best friends.

I think Barry's and Bruce's dynamic would be similar to Dick and Wally's.

Flash is still intimidated by Batman, but not like the others are. Lots of times other members, like Hal, are talking to him about how scary Batman is. He agrees, like, "Yeah, Batsy-man can be pretty scary, man," and the others get the feeling that Barry does not, in fact, get what they mean, sometimes thinking he might be a bit dense.

The Flash brings Batman snacks from all over the world.

Batman gives him custom-made stuff and cool things (like a very good microscope) that he couldn't afford

Gifts are both (one) of their love languages.

They would have such a cute wholesome relationship.

-

Sometime in the JL base, they are hanging out after a meeting or something:

Someone, like Hal, does something stupid or says something stupid (idk) and-

Flash glares at him, it shocks the team with how scary and intimidating it is. It reminds them of Batman's famous glare. Though quite not on Batman's level, is still very scary.

"Batman is rubbing off on you."

"Is he?" Flash says in an innocent tone, acting coy.

-

I also like the idea that Dick and Wally are only best friends because their da- mentors are best friends. (They would have been best friends anyway without their mentors being friends, but I like the idea that they were friends and then became Robin and Kid Flash.)

Chapter 21: 16 - Death Day

Notes:

Happy Holidays and Happy (Almost) New Year!

Chapter Text

All of Batman's rogues know not to fuck with Batman on this day.

I don't come up with many angst stories, but here is one!

-

After Jason's death, Bruce was never the same. Just like with his parents, something changed in him when he died; a part of him died, too.

Even though he got better with help, mostly Tim being there. He didn't just lose Jason with the death, but also Dick. He made the mistake of not telling him and waiting til he got home months later after the funeral. It's just that he felt this was too sensitive to tell over the phone. It probably would have been fine if he got home when was supposed to, a few days after Jason's death, before the funeral, but the mission got stretched. Dick wasn't the one to tell him that, so he felt that he couldn't just tell him then.

These sound like excuses, but they are not. He was going to tell him when he got back, but the mission got stretched, and by the time the funeral came along, it was too late to call; he would get the same reaction no matter what, so he waited and waited till he got home. He just didn't expect it to take months.

He was right in how Dick reacted; he rightfully blew up and cut off contact, though the cut-off contact for so long felt a bit petty. Thankfully he came back once Tim knocked on his door. Dick and Bruce's relationship was already strained, but they were getting better with their bonding with Jason, but all that went into the furnace after his death. Now their relationship is worse than ever. It got better with Tim, but not back to where it was going with Jason. His death caused a rift. (That gets slowly mended once Jason comes back.)

After his death, Bruce lost himself. He was mad, he barely held his punches. Those weeks held the highest statistics for how many people he put in the hospital, and this is in Gotham, where it is normal for people not to go to the hospital if they get stabbed or even shot.

Of course, people noticed this change in Batman and got scared. People have always been intimidated by him, but this was on a different level. Usually, the person he saves isn't that scared, but they are now as if they were the bag guy, even though the anger isn't focused on them.

When Bruce first met the Joker after Jason's death, he did nothing. The Joker was doing his usual thing, he was planning for something. He didn't even mean to come across him. When he saw him, every muscle in his body froze. This had never happened to him before; his body was so full of rage that he feared that if he moved even a muscle, he would rip the Joker's head from his body with his bare hands. Once the Joker was long out of his sight, he could move again, and he went straight home because he feared the next person he saw was going to hospital and staying there.

He didn't, couldn't see the Joker again till after Dick. He never told him, but Bruce is thankful for what Dick did to the Joker; he beat him to an inch of his life.

Now five years after Jason's death, Bruce still feels the pain when the anniversary of his death comes around.

The people of Gotham have recognized that around this time they shouldn't test Batman. He gets much more violent and harsh around this time; lots of people don't know why he does.

On these days, the crime rates drop all because they know the seriousness of Batman on these days if you do a big crime, you will be punished.

Actually, a lot of the rumors of how terrifying Batman is come from these few days.

He only goes out for an hour on the day, but that one hour is feared. On this day, the crime rate drops so significantly that Gotham is considered the safest place to be on this day; because of this, many people take the day off and spend time indoors with their families.

The people of Gotham who know the significance of this day have taken to call it the "Death Day."

-

(I didn't mean to write a little story. Oops.)

This is set around the time before they found out Jason was alive, so the "missing gap."

*I put to Bruce an annoying quirk of mine. Once my brain's inset time to do something passes I have to live with it. Like when I got the wrong class, but I have already met the teacher, my brain says it is too late, and now this is my class. OR, like when I want to ask something, if I don't ask it at the "right time," I won't. (I hope I explained that well. It's for the part when Bruce has to tell Dick about Jason's death.)

Chapter 22: 17 - Brother?

Chapter Text

Bruce has a secret brother that no one knows about(except of course people who knew him when he was young) (idk if he's older, younger, or a twin) (it can also be a sister if you want)

The Batfamily finds out about Bruce's secret brother, whom he hasn't seen in years.

*I remember reading a fic where Deadpool was Bruce's secret brother that none of the Batkids knew about, so this is mainly inspired by that fic that I don't remember the name of.

-

Here are 3 different ideas on how this could go. The concept is the same, but the backstory/lead-up is different -->

Hidden: The Waynes didn't announce that they had twins because they wanted to take care of the young baby in peace; he was sickly, unlike Bruce, and they worried what all the attention could do to him, so they hid him from the public. They were partly scared of what the public was going to say if he didn't make it. He was never shown to the public due to his lasting, weak, sick body. Despite the Waynes doing all they could to give him a normal life, he felt confined. Later, after the death of their parents, they mourned together. He grew up watching Bruce grow into what would become Batman. When they were around 15, he left Wayne Manor. He has always wanted to leave to travel the world. He wanted to leave (before) around the time his parents were killed, but he stayed for Bruce; he was always closer to their parents than him. From then on, Wayne Manor would only get letters from him; they became less frequent and more simple (they started as full-length letters to a weirdly shaped rock on the doormat) as time went on.

Death(with parents): Everyone thought that the other Wayne kid died along with his parents that night. Lucky either out of pity or because he was minor Bruce didn't get asked about his brother's death. Most of the media covered only Bruce's parent's death with only mentions of his brother if they wanted the coverage to be sad and evoke pity. Whenever they criticized the Waynes(which was a lot), they only talked about his parents, which was strangely thoughtful of them. Soon in the future, no one remembered the 3rd death that night, Bruce's brother.

Death(older): Everyone thought that the other Wanye kid died in service(or an accident or something) when he was in his teens to 20s. In this one, more people would know about Bruce's brother. Dick might know depending on the timeline of adoption, Jason might know because of the news(depending on timeline), and Tim might know because of him being rich and it not happening too long ago.

-

One of the Batkids or something meets a man who looks strangely similar to Bruce.

Later a man drops in (in the Manor, on a mission, or something like that) and acts strangely casual with Bruce, talking about the most random things. While the Batkids are thinking this is some enemy or Bruce's childhood friend, Bruce is freaking out so bad that he hasn't reacted(typical Bruce.)

"Who are you?" The Batkids say all accusatory (some curious and already placing bets)

"Me? Oh, well I'm this," puts his arm over Bruce's still non-reactive frame, "guy's brother. Hi! Nephews and nieces!"

They all stand there in shock.

(Except Alfred, he gives him a cup of tea)

(Alfred is the only one who knew he was alive; they have been exchanging letters.)

Chapter 23: 18 - #1 Ranked

Chapter Text

Batman is ranked the most-liked "superhero" because no one knows anything about him.

Batman is the least controversial hero.

The media conducts a huge poll that ranks all the Justice League members. Everyone thinks that Superman or maybe Wonder Woman or the Flash will take the top spot, but no, the one to take it is the scariest member, Batman.

You can't dislike or like something before you know more about it. When you hear about someone or something you don't know about you probably won't care.

*Based off loosely of me and how I don't have an opinion on celebrities I know nothing about, and how rumors and what people say can change what I think about them even though I have never seen it myself and know little to nothing about the celebrity. Though this only applies to celebrities, I have at least heard of; otherwise, I don't care at all.

But no one knows ANYTHING, so no one else opinions can twist others' opinions from rumors, and even if they make fake rumors, people will know that they are fake because no one knows anything. They don't even know if he is real.

There are lots of people who like him just for that reason and people who try to hate him lose the feeling fast because there is nothing to back it up.

-

The JL was excited to see the results of the popularity poll that multiple news companies put together. These companies that usually have opposing news came together to get as many to take the poll to the most accurate ranking they could. It was strangely beautiful. They got every top media company from the hometowns of the members and many more.

*There are 3 polls taking place: One for the main members, another for all the members, and another for the "kiddie" groups.

Some of JL was making bets on the rankings. The more gutsy ones had a bigger list. For the top spot, most beted on Superman, the other two highest guesses were Wonder Woman and the Flash.

(Wonder Woman beted for funsies and Martian Manhunter did not bet. Everyone else betted.)

There is one member that most didn't bet on, Batman. Most didn't bet because they just couldn't confidently guess, so they didn't guess at all. Others guessed on him for a variety of reasons. Some thought that most people didn't know about him to vote, maybe he would get 2nd or 3rd, he is a founding member after all, or that he was too scary to be a popular "hero."

The common theme throughout everyone was that nobody thought Batman could take the top spot...

When the results came out, oh boy were they surprised.

-

The poll results were going to be announced on every top news channel. In the Watch Tower, multiple screens were playing the different news channels that were going to show the results. All the channels came to a consensus to show the results at the same moment so that none of them "get ahead."

"Here we go! The results are coming out!"

.
.
.

"Wha- Wait What?"

"He Won?!?!"

"Noo! This can't be true!"

"How did Batman, of all people, out of all of us, win?!"

"He beat Superman!"

"Good for him."

"YES!" Everyone looks at Clark, "Sorry- I voted for Bruce." Clark was the only one to bet on Batman, so that means he won the 1st place bet, and he is a journalist who gets paid for the work done.

"I don't understand. Why did he get first place?"

>Most people don't know anything about him, he stays out of the media as much as possible, he appeals to vigilante and hero fans, he has the best record, he was the first hero, he was a founder of the Justice League, he has connections to dumb but caring Brucie Wayne, and many more reasons.

>People pick him for these reasons. When it comes to people who either don't like heroes or every hero they know (and is on the pole) has some controversy/bad rumors, they pick the one that they nothing about because they rather pick the unknown rather than the one that has done something bad(whether or not it's true.)

>Many have said he has the most "good all around" and he was "Just Right."

-

*Maybe you can also add in the Batfam's, the public's, the villains, or Gotham's reaction to him getting 1st place.

Chapter 24: 6.3 - Alfred

Chapter Text

Alfred has magic powers but no one knows, not even him.

In many stories, Alfred is the only one cleaning the Manor. How does he do it?

His powers help him clean up the Manor.

(I feel like Alfred would definitely notice the house being cleaner than what he did, but let's just pretend he doesn't notice for some reason. Maybe his powers have something to do with it or something.)

Some magic person either comes to the Manor/they meets Alfred and they are like, "You have magic!" Everyone else is like "What!?"

He is also immortal because I say so

-

There is a new product being spread in Gotham, and while this is not strange, what it is is. The product is magical in nature which is not something the Bats specialize in. They know why more than your average person, but enough to be an expert, and they are very cautious people, so it is better to get the expert to consult.

They call the only available magic person they know, Constantine.

Constantine arrives in the cave to discuss.

"Would you like a cup of tea?" Alfred asks.

"Wha- No- Shut- Wait, yeah, I would like one." Constantine agrees after his immediate 'no'. He looks at him because, surprisingly enough, this is the first time they have met. Constantine turns his head to Batman still facing Alfred, " This the Agent-A you guys always-" turns back to Alfred ...
.
.
.
"You magic!?" He then asks casually.

"...What?" Asks all of the Batfamily.

-

And that's how they found out.

They then went on to learn everything there is to know about Alfred's powers.

Well, that's what would have happened if Alfred wasn't the subject; he told them to go, and that he would take care of it, and they all listened because Alfred is the unofficial official grandpa.

*They all did their own research in secret to make sure Alfred would be okay. (And also made sure to check up on him to make sure his magic doesn't go haywire or anything.)

Chapter 25: 19 - Drinks

Chapter Text

Bruce doesn't like how alcohol effects his mind

Bruce has never been drunk

Bruce gets drunk

I see Bruce as an affectionate drunk; his normal overthinking is thrown out the window when he gets drunk.

-

Jason just got to manor to find everyone(minus Damian, Alfred, and Bruce) talking in hushed voices and gossiping like teen girls. Alfred usually meets whoever enters the door. "What the hell are you guys chattering about?" Jason says with his usually "white bat attitude" as Dick says; he says this this supposed to be a pun based on the black sheep metaphor, which is stupid.

Dick looking equally excited and concerned says, "Bruce is drunk."

"What?"

Tim was grinning behind Dick while scroll through pictures he took. He couldn't tell who they were of. Time gasps and mumbles, " What am doing here? I need to get my camera." He was already walking away midway through his sentence.

*I always feel bad for leaving out the girls, but I don't know how to write them without forcing it, so just pretend they are there or something.

"What is his deal?" He gestures to Tim, "And what do you mean Bruce is drunk? He never drinks." When he was a kid he thought Bruce must have been allergic to it because all adults drank.

"Idk."

"Idk? What do you mean idk?! You should know!"

Idk

-

On the couch was Bruce cuddling a resigned Damian; he was blankly stairing off while Bruce rubbed their cheeks together like a cat.

Jason blinked, then looked to Dick, then back to Bruce, and blinked again.

"Earlier he was resisting," oh Tim was back, "but he has accepted his fate."

Tim now had one of his many cameras and was taking photos of Damian and Bruce, "You should have seen him resistance earlier, I don't I have ever seen Damian that flustered. He was now quietly giggling like a little maniac while taking many more photos.

...

"Send me some of those."

"Guys! You can't just-" Dick was saying to them when he stoped and whispered, "send them to me too."

-

Alfred was off to the side watching over Bruce to catch when he inevitably gets sober and hungover.

Bruce doesn't know this but his father was the same way. At parties he would drink whatever, he would be completely sober all throughout. Every thought he was just really good at holding his liquor, but in reality it just took awhile for the alcohol to take effect, so by the time the party was over and he got home he was drunk. He would immediately cling to either baby Bruce or Martha. He would give them many kisses and snuggle together.

Chapter 26: 20 - Written

Notes:

(See the end of the chapter for notes.)

Chapter Text

Batman has many contingency plans, and they don't just apply to people.

They also apply to his day-to-day life.

Batman likes to write everything by hand and then convert it into text (using technology)

*I feel like with the Batman we have now, everyone forgets that he was made in 1939, which was before most technology was invented. We often see Batman as a tech-savvy character (which isn't wrong), but we forget that it didn't start this way.

While many things of Batman's run on technology, nothing relies on it. Almost everything he uses can be used any time; without power.

He knows that, despite technology's great uses and advancements, it can still fail. Work can be deleted, one crash can ruin lots of hard work, and so on. (He, of course, backs up everything at least 2 times, but he also does more.)

When there is no access to technology at all, how are you going to get the documents you need?

By having a physical copy, of course!

Not only because it is foolproof but because he just likes it better than typing. His thoughts flow better over paper, he only goes straight to typing if it will be edited a lot.

Batman is a very fast writer and typist.

Also, the whole Manor and cave can still work without any electrical power. While the cave can't run to its full capabilities, the manor can.

The manor is old, and much of it hasn't changed. It has had some work done for maintenance, and improvements here and there.

If the power is gone, they have multiple gas lamps, salt fridges, ways of heating, and washing.

The entire Batfamily was also trained to be able to hunt, do anything without the use of technology.

The family library isn't just holding fiction works, but also helpful informational texts, so that research can still be done without the internet.

Pretty much anything you need technology/power/internet to do, they can do without, though Bruce and Alfred are by far the most capable in these situations.
