Chapter Text
Chloe Decker was currently sitting at her desk, finishing up the latest crime she had just put to bed of the murder of an auditor. She was currently thinking about Kinley’s words about her partner because she was wondering if he was wrong. Even though what Kinley did in murdering innocent people to just prove that Lucifer was Devil, she was wondering if the prophecy was real of when the Devil walks the Earth and meet his first love, evil shall be release. Then she thought of the time when Lucifer broke Julian back, and Chloe had never seen Lucifer like that. It really scared her, so Chloe decided to go visit the cell that Kinley is still currently in and see if she can find out more of the prophecy.
Lucifer was glad that things with Detective were currently going back to normal. They already been through so much, and it just didn’t feel right for him to keep fighting with the Detective. He had Eve with him for the first time in millions of years, and even though he is a celestial, he had to admit that Eve has some way to make him exhausted with all the partying, drugs and sex they did. Not to mention the other things that Eve and him like to do. If he was being honest with himself, he didn’t know what to call him relationship with Eve, but all he knows that he feels free for the first time in a long time, and he had to admit it felt awesome.
Amenadiel was currently in the Silver City with many of his siblings looking at him weirdly, and he decided to look for his sister Remiel to see if she can spread any light on why his siblings were looking at him with such disdain. He met Remiel at the training grounds for the Angels and asked her if the rumors were true that he impregnated a mortal woman.
Amenadiel was surprised that Remiel was aware of his unborn child existence, but he also realized that this was Remiel's specialty. She could sense all Celestials no matter how far they were. While this made Amenadiel feel better that his unborn child would at least have some divinity inside it, he then told Remiel that yes, it was true.
A few months earlier, when Remiel detected a new celestial, she was curious. She tracked the divinity to a mortal woman and felt the child was already connected to Amenadiel, like how Angels were connected to God and the Goddess. She was really hoping that it was somehow a mistake and it was somehow Lucifer's child, but it didn't make sense for the child of Lucifer to be connected to Amenadiel. That didn't even take into account how it was impossible for celestials to impregnate mortals. So she decided to take this to Michael, who was currently the new right hand of God. While she didn't like Michael at all, he probably knew what would be the best course of action.
Michael was currently trying to keep order in the Silver City since God decided to leave after he banished his Mother to Hell. He left Amenadiel and Michael the responsibility of ruling Heaven. But it didn't take Michael long to realize he was going to be alone in ruling the entirety of the Silver City. After Amenadiel proved to be absolutely useless when it came to managing their siblings, Michael realized that he was going to be alone in this mess. He hadn't had one break since starting this, and part of him couldn't blame his Father for dipping out. But he mostly hated Amenadiel, who was the oldest and arguably the most powerful of the Angels and Archangels. He couldn't even lift one finger to help Michael out or take turns in running the Silver City. So imagine his surprise when Remiel came to him saying that Amenadiel apparently had time to impregnate a human, leaving Michael pissed off. He simply told Remiel to leave his child alone for now.
Michael was currently remembering after his twin rebellion and God's departure when the weaker angels decided they wanted to rebel just like his twin did. But they decided to take 100 steps further and procreated left and right with the human race. Michael was not amused one bit, so he decided to toss them all to Hell with his twin. Not wanting to deal with another rebellion involving more of his siblings, he thought of killing them all. But even Michael had a rule of not killing family no matter how much he hated them. So he decided to be merciful and throw them to Hell.
Michael was wondering what to do with Amenadiel's child, and he was so tired of Amenadiel's shit. But he absolutely didn't care what Amenadiel does with the child as long the child doesn't cause problems. But Michael still wanted to get revenge on Amenadiel for leaving him alone in the mess their parents caused. So he decided to spread word of Amenadiel's forbidden Nephilim throughout the Silver City.
Back to the present, Remiel had hoped it was a mistake and could clear this up with Michael, but now that her favorite brother confirmed it was true, it felt like she didn’t know her brother who she used to admire the most. Remiel felt like she didn’t know her brother was a monster, but not without telling Amenadiel that once she used to admire Amenadiel, but now she realized that her admiration was misplaced before flying away, leaving Amenadiel conflicted.
Amenadiel was walking around the Silver City and still feeling people cold glares at him while leaving him to think about what Remiel said to him before she left “I can finally see my admiration for you was misplaced,” leaving a pain that Amenadiel can’t quite describe from hearing what his favorite sister said to him. Amenadiel was taken out of his thoughts when he saw a crowd of his siblings in front of him glaring at him and then heard his brother Camael saying he wasn’t welcome here anymore. Normally, Amenadiel would put Camael and all the angels in their place, but he felt like he deserved this, and Amenadiel flew off to the Mortal Realm not wanting to face any more of his siblings.
Chloe was finally able to get a meeting with Kinley after the guard spent a few minutes trying to convince her otherwise. He said it was dangerous. When she got to the cell, she could tell that it looked like Kinley had been beaten up, and he seemed to be praying. After he was finished, Chloe called his name, trying to get his attention.
When Kinley heard his name called, he turned around to find out it was Detective Chloe Decker who had called his name, and he wondered if the Lord had finally answered his prayers and sent Chloe Decker to get him out of jail. It didn't take Kinley long to find out he was not being released, but it seemed that Chloe had more questions about the prophecy. He gladly answered them while trying to tell her that the Devil was evil as gently as possible. It seemed that Chloe wasn't believing him, so he then changed tactics and said when the Devil walks the earth and meets his first love, evil shall be released. After saying this, it seemed that Chloe was starting to believe him.
Kinley then started mentioning the Devil's first love. Then Chloe asked Kinley what she should do, Kinley handed Chloe a vial, she hesitantly took it and walked out of the room.
Kinley laughed and laid down on the prison floor, thinking that God works in mysterious ways.

Chapter Text
Lucifer had just finished a case with the Detective. He was hoping that the detective was okay. She seemed kind of strange throughout the entire day. His mind drifted back to when Chloe was hiding things from him, and it almost ruined their entire relationship. But he shrugged off those thoughts because he didn’t believe the detective would do something like that anymore. He believes the detective now one hundred percent trusts him. He was soon interrupted when he got a text asking if he can meet her at Lux. Lucifer replied, “On my way,” and left for Lux.
It was weird throughout the entire case for Chloe because while she had to work with Lucifer, Father Kinley's words rang in the back of her mind. She was currently wondering if Kinley was right because Lucifer claimed to love her, but he dumped her for that stripper a few years back, and now he dumped her again for Eve just because she was having trouble accepting he was the Devil. But she decided to wait and think about what is the right thing to do.
Michael was currently hearing Gabriel's messages about what his dumb siblings want. While Gabriel might be his favorite sister, there are times he wants to punch her and throw her out of his office because Gabriel doesn’t just tell him what their siblings desire so much. No, she would just add all the gossip she had with the messages, which sometimes makes Michael's job so much harder. He can often get confused by what Gabriel is saying because she talks fast, even by celestial standards. So he told Gabriel he understands and asked her to go get Raphael.
Gabriel could sense that Michael was getting annoyed, so she left to get Raphael as he instructed. After a while, she found Raphael in one of the human heavens. So she went up to her brother, saying,
“Hey Raph, Michael said he wanted to talk to you. By any chance, have you heard that Amenadiel now has a Nephilim? Do you think that Lucifer might have a child? Do you want to go meet him? Hey, do you want too…?” Before Gabriel can even finish her question, she is interrupted by Raphael.
Raphael was laying on the grass, looking at the sun, wondering what was the meaning of existence until he heard Gabriel saying Michael wanted to talk to him. He nodded his head, and right before he was about to fly away, Gabriel started yammering over about things he already knew. He had to interrupt Gabriel because he felt a headache starting to happen and said to Gabriel he will talk to her later.
Michael was finally done with the complaints his siblings so cheerfully left to him. But before Michael even had a chance to relax, Raphael decides to finally show himself after calling him almost a day ago. Michael sighed to himself and got himself back to the throne and sat down but not before leaving a snarky comment at Raphael, saying, “It’s about you show yourself. Is there any reason why you were late?” Michael asked annoyingly.
Raphael responded in a bored tone, “I was just trying to find out the meaning of existence and try to wonder why Father created us. We basically just sit around and do nothing all day since he had we can’t answer prayers anymore. But then I soon realize we're not that important for God if he doesn’t care to answer a question that would be easy for him.”
Michael always liked Raphael. He was probably the most bearable of all his siblings, but that didn't mean much when all his siblings acted like they were raised straight out of a barn. He always found Raphael's thoughts interesting because he remembered when Raphael was young, he would always come to him to share his thoughts since God never answered him. And Mum was fighting with Dad, and Raphael was scared to be Mum when she was mad. So he decided since to ask Michael since Amenadiel was never any help. He had to admit Raphael did ask some good questions, and they would debate and get theories for these for centuries. But Michael was honestly starting to get worried for Raphael as he sounded like what humans would call depressed. Michael shook himself out of those thoughts as he didn’t believe Angels and especially Archangels can get depressed. So Michael decided to get to the point he asked Raphael here.
Michael said, “Raphael, would you like to have an elevated rank here, helping me with the rule of heaven in Dad's absence?”
Raphael was baffled that Michael would ask him that. He never thought about the rule of heaven as it never concerned him. But he had to admit doing something, even if hard, is better than doing nothing. But something bothered him, so he replied, “I will be honored to, Michael, but I have to ask why not Gabriel?” Because Raphael knew that technically Gabriel should be next in line for the rule of Heaven, and she was older and stronger than him, so it just made more sense.
Michael had thought of asking Gabriel before, and the only reason why he is not doing it is that he deals with Gabriel enough that can last for millennia. Giving her a position like that would give her more reason to bother him, and Michael would like to keep what's left of his sanity, thank you.
Michael replied, “I thought about it, but you know how our sister is. She can literally talk someone to death. And after Gabriel, you are the next oldest. Even though Gabriel is older than you, I believe personally you are wiser than her.”
Raphael listened to Michael's words, and he had to admit Gabriel's gossip can be annoying as hell. So he really needed something to do, so he agreed with Michael's proposition and left the throne room but not before seeing Michael's excited face.
Amenadiel was currently sitting on top of a mountain, wondering how he got to this point. He always felt what he did was right, but doing what he does right always seemed to get people angry at him for some reason. And he wondered if he was going to fail as a father because while his siblings respect him for his power and title, he doesn’t think they love him. At least not as much as he thought they did. And seeing how Remiel no longer admires Amenadiel kind of kicked below the belt for Amenadiel. He contemplated what he did over the last few years, and he realized that if he was going to be a good or decent father, he had to find out if he was a good brother and a good son first. So he flew to find Lucifer.
Linda was currently in a session with Lucifer, who keeps talking about Eve and all they did together. Linda could feel that Lucifer was starting to feel genuine affections for Eve. But as a therapist, she had to let her patients figure this out for themselves. But as a friend, she just wanted to yell at Lucifer for being so blind. So Linda told Lucifer, “How about instead of keeping your guard up, you should let them down for at least Eve? After all, she knew since the beginning of time.”
Lucifer thought The Doctor wasn’t making any sense as he always kept his wall down. He would have sex and drink with anyone. But before he could press further, he heard a prayer from Amenadiel saying if it's a good time to talk he than ask Amenadiel if he can meet him at Lux a few he then said he goodbyes despite the Doctor protest.
"When Lucifer arrived at Lux, he saw Amenadiel, who appeared to be crying. This made Lucifer a little worried, wondering what had happened. But before Lucifer could ask what had happened, Amenadiel beat him to it by asking, 'If he was a good brother?' Lucifer responded with, 'Bollocks, I could already tell that they were going to need drinks for this conversation.'
Chloe was sitting in her living room when she saw Mazikeen had just brought back a person's head, which scared her a lot. Mazikeen noticed this and said, 'Calm down, Decker, my bounty did this. I'm just cleaning up the mess. I came here to get one of my knives.' As Maze got the knife she was looking for and walked out, Chloe released a breath she didn't know she was holding because she was scared of Maze after finding out she was a demon. Who is to say she wasn't lying about the bounty and decided to take justice into her own hands? She took another look at the vial that was sitting on her table and grabbed it.
She decided to text Lucifer if she could hang out after work sometime. Chloe put her phone back down and kept saying to herself that this was right for everyone and that it was for the best."
Chapter 3: Chapter 3
Summary:
Lucifer tells Amenadiel some facts, Michael just wants to retire from this eternity job but knows he can’t.
Chapter Text
Lucifer went and grabbed some drinks for himself and Amenadiel, already knowing this would be a long talk and the Devil would want to be as drunk as possible. When he got back to the couch, his brother was sitting on it. He offered his brother the glass of wine and was actually shocked when he accepted it.
Lucifer shook himself out of his shock and asked Amenadiel what was wrong. Amenadiel was struggling to have the words come out of his mouth, but he eventually repeated what he said to Lucifer earlier. “Lucy, do you think I’m a bad brother?’’ Lucifer was honestly wondering what brought this on because the Amenadiel he knew would never ask for his opinion, but he also does not lie, so he had to tell his brother the truth.
Lucifer replied, “Honestly Amenadiel, you're a horrible brother.” Lucifer saw Amenadiel's expression change to an expression he couldn’t recognize, but then Amenadiel proceeded to ask him if he could explain more.
Lucifer took a big sip of his wine and then proceeded to tell Amenadiel, “Listen Brother, while you might always have thought you were doing the right thing, you always caused me so much pain. I can’t speak for the rest of our siblings, but I do know that at least to me, you always loved to bully me, always showing how much stronger you were than me. Then you would also act like you know everything despite being as clueless as the rest of us. Then you would beat me up and send me back to Hell ever since I fell, and not even once have you ever apologized to me. So yes, Amenadiel, I believe you're a horrible brother, and sometimes I don’t even see you as one.”
Lucifer said truthfully. He could tell Amenadiel was digesting all he told him, then Amenadiel said excuse me, and in less than seconds, he flew out of there, leaving Lucifer to wonder what just happened.
Mazikeen was just sitting around in her apartment, wondering where Decker had run off to, but she was interrupted by the sound of wings whooshing right behind her. She turned around so fast with her knives in hand only to see Amenadiel looking at her with a sorrowful expression. She then told him, “What the Hell, Amenadiel? I could have killed you. Why would you appear behind me like that?”
Amenadiel didn’t know exactly why he came to see Maze, but he wanted to know everyone's opinions about him, whom he had known the longest. He then asked Maze, “Maze, do you think I’m a good person?”
Maze was surprised and a bit weirded out that Amenadiel would say that out of nowhere. Even though she understood why Amenadiel was asking her, she decided to say, “I guess you are, but what would I know? I’m just a demon.” With that, Maze walked away, leaving Amenadiel with his thoughts.
Amenadiel was currently realizing that he was not only a bad brother but also a bad friend because he recalled that time he told Maze that she was just a demon and manipulated a few years back when his mother was on earth. After a few minutes, Amenadiel flew away and headed towards Linda.
After a long day of dealing with patients, Linda had gone home to relax. She was surprised to see Amenadiel. She hadn’t seen him since she told him she didn’t need him in Charlie's life, and she felt really bad for that. But it was true; she didn’t need him in her or their child's life. But what really shocked her was what he said next.
Michael sometimes wondered why his parents decided to leave all this mess on his shoulders because if they were just going to do this, they should have never made the silver city or other realms if it would be too inconvenient with his mother in an alternate universe and father who knows where. But over the millennia, he soon realized that his parents didn’t care, and especially his father. Sometimes he just wanted to rebel like his dumb twin did and leave the Silver City, but unlike Samael, he wasn't reckless. He wouldn’t endanger the lives of his siblings because he was pissed off. Not to mention, nobody else had enough power to keep the realm going and afloat.
Michael missed Uriel because while the two weren't the closest of brothers, Uriel's gift was really handy. But after he died from Samael, Michael's job just got ten times harder. While people think Michael always hated Lucifer, that wasn’t the case. Michael just found Lucifer reckless, dangerous, and just plain out dumb. Killing Uriel did not help Lucifer's case either, especially for a stupid human. Father decided to let Lucifer get away with killing one of his sons and one of their brothers without even reviving Uriel, leaving him and the rest of his siblings furious. So is it really a surprise to Lucifer why none of their siblings like him much? In Michael's mind, Lucifer is Chaos incarnate, but Michael knows that ranting about Lucifer in his mind isn’t going to get his work done, so he just went back to work, having to deal with his bratty siblings all by himself.
Amenadiel came to Linda as she was also a person he felt he wronged, and he was glad to see her in the house. When he arrived, he had time to really think about what he was going to say, and it all came back to one thing. Amenadiel proceeded to Linda, “Linda, I think I’m a horrible person.”
Lucifer was wondering why Amenadiel just left all of a sudden until he checked his phone and saw he had gotten an unread message from The Detective to hang out. Lucifer thought this would be a great time to clear the air between them, so he said sure and to let him know when she arrived, leaving Lucifer unaware of Chloe's true intentions.
Chapter 4: Chapter 4
Summary:
Linda job is starting to takes its toll on her meanwhile the date between Lucifer and Chloe happens….
Chapter Text
Dr. Linda Martin was having a rough few days. She was trying to show Lucifer that he should not be afraid to take steps, or Maze, who currently feels like nobody loves her. But most importantly, she was pregnant with a half-human and half-angel baby, and she had absolutely no idea what to do. Even though she had a child before whom she put up for adoption, the child wasn’t half-angel. Linda wondered how that birth would look like, but she didn’t need anyone's help with her child, half-angel or not.
Since a young age, Linda was always forced to take care of others and their needs, and she doesn’t like it when people try to help her. That is even the reason why she rejected Amenadiel's help, because she was always used to taking care of things and people by herself. It was just how she was raised. Linda was drinking some nice green tea after a stressful day with different people getting angry at her for not telling them the answer to their problems. She was about to close up and call it a day until she saw Amenadiel suddenly come in as if he had just seen a ghost. She was taken off guard when Amenadiel suddenly said, “Linda, I’m a horrible person.” Linda then knew that she still had people she needed to take care of.
Lucifer was currently at Lux after having another party with Eve. He told Eve that he would be back as he planned on going to Chloe's house for dinner. When he told Eve this, she suddenly got very upset, but it was then replaced with a forced happy face. Eve then told Lucifer that she hoped he enjoyed his dinner with Chloe and to be safe. Lucifer was about to ask why Eve was forcing herself to smile, but he suddenly got a text from Chloe saying dinner was ready and that Daniel had collected Trixie. Lucifer then simply told Eve thank you and that he would see her later. With that, Lucifer went to the top of his building, Lux, and then flew to Chloe's house to prepare for the dinner she had for him.
Chloe being nervous would be an understatement, and she wondered briefly if what she was doing was right, because this would mean she would be essentially murdering someone. But she took deep breaths and prepared herself to go through with it anyway, as she wouldn't be technically killing Lucifer; she would be just sending Lucifer back where he belongs, as it was probably what God wanted her to do after all. Maybe he had sent Father Kinley to give her a sign that Lucifer needed to go to Hell. So she decided to get over herself and prepared dinner. She decided to make a casserole and brought out some wine. Taking a deep breath, Chloe put the poison into Lucifer's drink, and then she just stared at the wine for a few moments. She then called Daniel to pick up Trixie, and after Daniel took her away, Chloe then, with a deep breath, took out her phone and told Lucifer that dinner was ready and he could come over.
Lucifer was currently dancing in the air, not believing that he was finally having a one-on-one dinner with the Detective he always hoped he would. But he was thinking it might never happen, since the Detective wasn’t a big fan of dates and a lot of things, which left the Devil limited in what he could do with Chloe. But Lucifer took himself out of his thoughts and arrived at Chloe's house.
Lucifer knocked on her door and was greeted with a beautiful sight of Chloe in a red dress with her hair down. Lucifer then told the Detective, “Well, Detective, you dress up nicely enough to make even the Devil blush. Am I to be expecting all of our future dates to be this lovely”? Chloe was confused at first by what Lucifer was talking about, but then she remembered she did dress up for this. She then responded after seeing that Lucifer was awaiting an answer from her, “If you behave, then maybe I will let you see and maybe show you something even better than my dress,” Chloe said seductively. Chloe saw Lucifer blush a bright pink, which surprised her, because she didn’t think angels could blush. But then Chloe let Lucifer inside and directed him to the dinner.
Lucifer was wondering what to expect from a dinner from Chloe and maybe the aftermath, because from what Chloe told him, she hinted to him that she planned on doing something after dinner. Chloe said it in such a seductive manner, which made Lucifer's heart start beating rapidly. He guessed Chloe was referring to sex, and while in the past he might have been a sex addict, the pleasure was so good. But Lucifer liked to think he had grown these past years, to at least a point where he was past the point of meaningless sex, especially after that one incident where all his partners said he was just sex to them and nothing more. For some reason, having sex with Chloe might have at one point made him the happiest guy in the universe, but for some reason, it filled him with nothing more than dread.
But Lucifer decided to still be respectful and told Chloe to lead the way. Chloe was worried about the face Lucifer was making, because it seemed he was uncomfortable, but she didn’t know why, because she did her best to make everything Lucifer liked. She briefly wondered if Lucifer could read her mind, because after all, he is the devil. So Chloe decided to pray to God, telling him to keep her mind concealed from Lucifer. After that, Chloe guided Lucifer to her dining table and saw Lucifer trying to sit in her seat. But Chloe then walked faster than Lucifer, telling him that it was her seat and he could sit at the other side of the table, where the wine she had poisoned was sitting. Lucifer then apologized and sat down.
After an awkward silence, Chloe asked him to join her in prayer before eating, to which Lucifer looked at her as if she had said the most absurd thing in the universe. And you know what, in Lucifer's case, it might just be. Lucifer asked her once again to repeat herself, and Chloe then repeated the same thing after a moment.
When Lucifer walked to the dining table, he didn’t know what to expect, but he saw that Chloe had made a casserole for him and some wine. Lucifer was actually surprised, because he had never known Chloe to cook, but it seemed wonders never ceased. He was already up for some wine, so he made his way to the closest seat near him, until the Detective told him that was her seat and he needed to sit at the other side. While Lucifer didn’t understand why he needed to sit at the other side of the table, he chalked it up to a human thing. When he and Chloe sat down, there was an awkward silence, until Chloe asked him to join her in prayer, to which Lucifer looked at her.
Lucifer felt like he must have misheard her and asked her to repeat herself, until Chloe repeated the same thing, much to Lucifer's dismay. Lucifer then asked Chloe, “Chloe, are you seriously asking me, you know, Lucifer, the Devil, the archangel that God cast out of Heaven into Hell for eternity, to now pray to God over some dinner?” Lucifer said angrily, but trying to hold the anger back as much as possible, but failing miserably.
Chloe knew Lucifer would probably not be thrilled that she suggested he pray, but she never expected him to yell back at her. She was doing this so that after she completed the poison, maybe God would show him some leniency if he prayed to him.
Chloe responded, “Lucifer, I know praying to your father might get a bit messy for who you are, but can you just trust me? After all, isn’t that what partners are for?” Lucifer's heart warmed at Chloe calling him partners, but he needed the Detective to understand it had nothing to do with being partners, but his history with his father.
He told Chloe, “Detective, of course we are partners, but praying to my father would be like accepting defeat and saying he was right all along, which he will never say.” Lucifer responded sorrowfully.
Chloe wanted to continue, but she knew a lost battle when she saw one, and her job was not to start an argument with Lucifer, but to send Lucifer back to Hell.
Chloe than told Lucifer, “Alright, fine, Lucifer, we don’t need to pray. Besides, I love you… I just thought it would be respectful to honor God, since, you know, he is your father after all,” Chloe told Lucifer nervously, as she was lying to the Devil to his face, as Chloe never believed in God before she met Lucifer.
Chloe thought to herself that maybe if Lucifer joined her in prayer, then maybe God would show him some mercy, because Chloe could not help but feel love for Lucifer, and she thought that while he needed to be in Hell, maybe suffering for eternity was a bit excessive. So she told Lucifer to dig in.
Lucifer was glad that Chloe dropped the case with his father, and he supposed what she said made some sense when it came to honoring her father. But Lucifer was mostly focused on the fact that the detective told him she loved him, and it always warmed his heart when she said that.
He implied, “No worries, Detective, and let’s dig in,” and then he took a piece of casserole and put it into his mouth. He told the detective it was good, and then he took a sip of the wine. It was good for about five seconds, and suddenly Lucifer started to feel dizzy, and his mind started to hurt a lot, and his heart was beating so fast.
In a rough voice, Lucifer told Chloe to call his brother Amenadiel, because whatever was going on wasn’t normal at all, and Amenadiel might be able to explain this. Lucifer honestly felt like he was about to die, but what he heard next hurt him to the very core of his being.
Chloe watched every single thing that happened after Lucifer started drinking the wine, and it was breaking her heart to do this. But she remembered Kinley's words when he said that the Lord would reward her after, and that Lucifer was the Devil and he belonged in Hell. She was surprised when Lucifer mentioned Amenadiel, because she had forgotten all about Amenadiel, and she knew he was an angel, since Lucifer said he was, even though Lucifer could be lying, since he was the Devil. But it wouldn’t make sense for him to lie about that or that he is Lucifer's brother as well, but Chloe thinks that any angel who spends time with Lucifer must be a fallen angel and must be evil or corrupted as well, so she has to find a way to send Amenadiel to Hell as well because while she poisoned Lucifer, she knew it only worked because she recently found out Lucifer was vulnerable around her, but she knows Amenadiel likely won’t be vulnerable around her, but she will deal with Amenadiel later.
Chloe than turned back to Lucifer and told him, "No, Lucifer, I’m not going to call your brother... You need to die, and you are the devil, so you belong to hell. It is very hard for me to do this, but this is for the best of everyone. She tells Lucifer she is sorry, but she won’t help someone as evil as him, and she walks away, not wanting to see Lucifer die.
Lucifer could not believe what he had just heard, but he had no time to mull over it as he tried to summon his wings but found out he couldn't, and Lucifer thought it was because his body was too weak to do anything. When Lucifer tried to walk to the door, it was too late, and Lucifer felt his entire heart and brain explode inside him.
Lucifer then dropped to the floor, dead, and Lucifer instantly knew where he was going. Lucifer than felt his soul being pulled down to Hell and was then sent into a Hell loop as Lucifer is dead and not alive anymore and was met with the smiling face of the demon masquerading as his younger brother Uriel, and the demon masquerading as his brother Uriel than said said, Welcome back, Lucifer, are you ready to face Hell?".
Chapter 5: Chapter 5
Summary:
Remiel wishes not deal with any of this, Amenadiel is concerned for lucifer in a way he never have been before, Things start to get a little darker as well.
Chapter Text
In the Silver City, Remiel felt something weird she had never exactly felt before, with the exception of one other time: when a celestial being died. This made her very alert, as she had only felt this once before, when Uriel died thanks to Lucifer. This only served to fuel her hatred even more towards the Morningstar. Ironically, it felt like it was Lucifer who had just died. Even though she couldn’t stand Lucifer and couldn’t say she was heartbroken that he was gone, she wondered how it was possible, as there weren’t many forces out there that could even harm her fallen older brother. So, she went to Earth, where she last felt Lucifer’s presence, to see what was going on.
Amenadiel had been very conflicted lately, which drove him to seek out his friend, best friend, or lover? Amenadiel really didn’t know how to describe his relationship with Linda, but he always felt like he could trust her advice. When he arrived and told her he was a horrible brother, he realized that Linda was confused. So, he gave her some context on why he felt this way. After saying it, his heart raced, and he felt heavy all of a sudden. He awaited Linda’s advice, knowing she should be able to fix this problem, as in his opinion, she was always right. Linda wasn’t exactly surprised by what Amenadiel had told her, but she also wasn’t expecting it either, if that made sense. She didn’t know what brought this on, but whatever it was, it had affected Amenadiel deeply.
Even after all these years of knowing Amenadiel, Linda thought she had helped him move past his mistakes, but she wondered if she made a mistake. She thought she had helped Amenadiel move past his past mistakes, but he still seemed to think he was a horrible person. Sometimes, she wondered if she even knew Amenadiel because he always had a stoic demeanor, never showing his true emotions, unlike his brother Lucifer. But she asked Amenadiel why he felt like this, and after he told her, sometimes she wondered if Amenadiel was taking one step forward and two steps back, as it seemed like Amenadiel was self-hating himself, not unlike Lucifer in ways. But Amenadiel’s self-hate was different.
Linda was going to ask Amenadiel another question until she suddenly saw Amenadiel jump up, obviously alerted, and she asked Amenadiel what’s wrong. Amenadiel was patiently waiting for a reply from Linda when he suddenly felt Lucifer disappearing from the mortal plane. He got up, alerted, as it felt as if Lucifer had died. He wondered what happened. Did Lucifer go back to Hell? But he crossed that out of his mind instantly, as it felt like Lucifer had died. So, he told Linda what he felt, and she immediately got worried. She instantly grabbed her things, and Amenadiel picked her up and flew to where he felt Lucifer had died, and they were greeted with the sight of his sister Remiel..
Remiel had finally arrived at the location where she felt Lucifer had died. She inspected the place and found two humans: one was a blonde woman, and the other looked like a priest. She listened in on what the humans were saying from outside the house.
Chloe’s heart sank when she saw Lucifer drop to the ground dead. She really didn’t want to do it, but Lucifer gave her no other choice. He was the Devil, and he didn’t make it easy for her. But she supposed that’s what the Devil does: try to corrupt innocent humans, hurt them, and even claim their souls when he is done with them. So, Chloe took a deep breath and convinced herself that she did the right thing, as Lucifer is the Devil.
After a few minutes, Chloe got out her phone and told Father Kinley the job was done. Father Kinley was in a great mood, to say the least, when Chloe called him, saying she had taken care of the Devil. The Devil was finally in Hell, and Kinley breathed a sigh of relief. The apocalypse would be avoided, and innocents would not have to die because of the Devil. So, he went to Chloe’s house to see how she was holding up, and they discussed what to do with the body.
Remiel didn’t know what to expect when she arrived there. She was just expecting to find some type of divine weapon and take it back to Heaven. But she saw a human in the house with her brother, and she wondered who she was and why she was just standing over her brother’s body. Remiel briefly wondered if this human had killed him, but that seemed impossible for any human to be able to come close to harming even the weakest demon, let alone one of the strongest beings across the multiverse. She decided to wait and see what happened. Then, she saw another human, an older one in an all black uniform, walk into the house. What they said next shocked her: the human woman was struggling to cope with poisoning Lucifer. Remiel was appalled by what she heard, as poison wouldn’t work on any angel. But she was interrupted from her thoughts by the sound of wings, and she turned around to see her brother Amenadiel.
Amenadiel wasn’t entirely shocked to see Remiel at Chloe’s house, as he was sure she would have sensed what happened to Lucifer first before any celestial, probably with the exception of their father or even their mother. But their mother was in a whole other universe. Amenadiel found himself missing his mom, but he heard Remiel calling his name and then asked her if she knew what happened to Lucifer. After a while of calling Amenadiel’s name, as it seemed he was lost in his thoughts, Remiel finally managed to break him out of it and asked him what he was thinking about. But for whatever reason, Amenadiel straight-up ignored what she said and instead asked her what happened to Lucifer. Remiel thought it would be obvious if Amenadiel just looked at himself, as she still didn’t want to deal with Amenadiel, but she knew now was not the time to be snarky. She sharply told Amenadiel that the lowly human had decided to poison Lucifer and pointed to Lucifer’s body laying on the ground dead through the window.
Remiel suddenly started shivering after this, as she could feel the raw power of Amenadiel radiating off him, which made the entire Earth shake. Remiel sometimes forgot how powerful Amenadiel was, and while people wanted to make fun of Amenadiel sometimes, their father didn’t name Amenadiel the Fury of God with a load of other titles for no reason. Remiel nervously told Amenadiel to calm down and relax, as Lucifer could revive himself if he chose to. Remiel felt she was about to lose control of her bladder, because if Amenadiel let his power loose, he would end up obliterating the entire Earth and half the entire universe because he was angry. Amenadiel took heed of Remiel’s words and calmed down, mostly for the Earth’s sake, as his son was living there, and he didn’t want to end up harming his son just because he was pissed off. Amenadiel thanked Remiel for that and told her to follow him. With that, Amenadiel then opened Chloe’s door, despite it being locked, with Remiel, for some reason, nervously falling behind him. Amenadiel took notice of it but left it alone for now, as there were more pressing issues.
Meanwhile, in the depths of Hell, Azazel was currently ruling over the underworld since he was the most powerful being in Hell, with Lucifer not present. Azazel assumed Lucifer wouldn’t return for some time, as he was enjoying his time on Earth. So, one day, when Azazel got done torturing his daily few billion souls and commanding the demons, he felt downright terror when he felt Lucifer return to Hell. He knew he better be sitting on Lucifer’s throne if he made his way to him, as Azazel valued his existence, at least a little.
So, Azazel made his way to Lucifer to explain himself, but what Azazel had seen pleased him even more. He saw Lucifer unconscious on the ground. Azazel was rather surprised that no demon had seen this yet, so Azazel dragged Lucifer to his chambers, the one place only Azazel could enter, well Lucifer could as well if he forced his way inside, but that rarely happened. Azazel threw Lucifer on his bed, who was still unconscious, and thought of the many ways he could use Lucifer. Suddenly, he remembered when the Goddess escaped Hell, with a shiver creeping up his spine, as every demon in Hell was scared out of their minds when the Goddess suddenly freed herself from her chains. Every demon felt they were about to be destroyed, as every demon knows the Goddess tolerates demons far less than she does humans, thinking they’re nothing more than puppets for Lucifer.
This is one of the reasons so many demons hate Lucifer, as he treats them like puppets. Sometimes, it makes Azazel laugh in disbelief, as Lucifer rebels against God for being controlling and treating them like puppets, yet he does the exact same with the demons. Except, at least God has a plan. Lucifer doesn’t even have any. He cages them up, except for letting them have freedom. He doesn’t even give freedom to the most loyal in Hell. He plays favorites, as he did with Mazikeen. So, of course, he would take his pet demon Mazikeen to Earth with him but leave them all behind like second-handed trash. But Azazel plans to fix that. So, Azazel put Lucifer in the chains his mother used to have, and once he was done, Azazel punched Lucifer in the face, forcing him to wake up.
Lucifer was jolted awake when he felt someone punch him. It took him a minute to figure out who it was and realized it was Azazel. When Lucifer tried to put Azazel in his place, he found himself unable to move, and his body and divinity extremely weakened.
Lucifer realized he was in chains, and he was confused because there should be nothing in the universe that can bind him. Hell, there isn’t really anyone who can even harm him, except his father, mother, and his brothers Amenadiel and Michael. His mother is in an entirely different universe, and unlike his father, Lucifer knows his mother cares, even if she doesn’t know how to show it the best way. So unless she returns and starts hating him for some reason, it’s unlikely she would even harm him.
When it comes to Amenadiel at first Lucifer was very wary as Amenadiel was just as powerful as him but he and Amenadiel have been working on their relationship and are basically the closest they’ve ever been, back to being brothers again. So it’s also unlikely for Amenadiel to try to harm him.
Then there’s Michael, while Lucifer wouldn’t put it past Michael to harm him or even kill him temporarily, he knows Michael has better things to do than trying to pick a fight with Lucifer. Besides, Lucifer isn’t that worried because individually, he rivals both Michael and Amenadiel. Those three have always been rivals to each other and equal to each other in raw power.
It’s not even worth mentioning his father, as his father probably won’t kill him, at least not directly, but manipulate him and have Lucifer be vulnerable in the worst way possible to either something or someone, just like with Chloe. After that, nobody else even comes close to being worth Lucifer’s time, not even the most powerful demon in Hell like Azazel. Lucifer then told Azazel, “Now look Azazel, I know you are probably feeling big and tough managing to chain up the devil, but I would advise you to get me out as I’m not only the Devil, I’m also an Archangel….” But Lucifer couldn’t even finish his sentence as he was decked in the face by Azazel, and for some reason, it hurt a lot.
Lucifer wondered how this was possible and noticed his divinity was very weak and low somehow, even though it never was like this before. Then he looked down and noticed he was not in just any chains but his mother’s chains when she was trapped in Hell. Lucifer was shocked as he had forgotten that when his mother was released, the chains were just laying in the cell for anyone to take them. But he was instantly brought out of his thoughts when he felt another strong punch to his face that did way more than it should have, as Lucifer felt his nose was shattered and his nose was running with blood.
Azazel had enough of Lucifer’s talk, trying to assert his dominance over him, talking about how he was the Devil or whatever. So Azazel decked him in the face, and he could see Lucifer starting to put two and two together of his new fate. Azazel then grabbed Lucifer roughly by the chin and told him, “I don’t give two fucks who you think you are; you don’t have any more power here anymore, Samael,” which Azazel knew would prompt a reaction from Lucifer. But before Lucifer could do anything, Azazel picked him up and slammed him to the ground, putting his foot on Lucifer’s throat and telling him that he doesn’t take orders from him anymore. Azazel, with a wicked smile, told Lucifer he wonders how it would feel to have The Devil as his bitch, and Azazel’s smile grew even bigger when he saw Lucifer’s horrified look.
Meanwhile, in a new universe, the Supreme Goddess was floating around space where her son Lucifer sent her to. She sometimes thought about creating something new, just like her ex-husband did, but she knew deep down that nothing would be able to replace her children, which was the real reason if she wanted to create something new. Sometimes she wondered how much time went by, and she then felt something was off with Lucifer, as if he died or something. The Supreme Goddess felt it and knew it was true, and even though she knew he could revive himself, she was furious and let out a deep scream, determined to destroy whoever hurt her son.

Chapter Text
Chloe was taking deep breaths to calm herself but was failing miserably as she stared at Lucifer's body, realizing she had just murdered her partner, her best friend, and a person whom she even loved deep down. However, Chloe also knew that Lucifer was the Devil and he was not meant to be on Earth. She understood it was best for not just herself but for everyone else for him to be in Hell. Besides, Lucifer might have just been manipulating her mind to make her feel these things. But she was forced to look away from Lucifer's body for a second as she felt Kinley grab her and stab her in the stomach with a weird-looking blade.
Forty years ago, in the year 1978, there was a young man named William Kinley, who was 18 years old. He was at church, praying to God for forgiveness as he ran over a woman and her child while he was drunk and not paying attention. He left them on the road because he didn't want to get caught, but he did. The next morning, Kinley remembered what he had done and was scared of being arrested and sentenced to jail for the rest of his life. For the first time in Kinley's life, he was desperate for anything. Although he was never a religious man, he was very desperate, so he prayed to God, saying, "God, please forgive me for what I have done. I did something stupid, and I will do anything you ask me to do, but please don’t send me to jail."
Meanwhile, forty years in Heaven, the Archangel Sandalphon was angry beyond belief. Lately, Samael had been coming back and forth to Earth, and this time he brought that demon Lilith with him. Neither Amenadiel nor Michael had done something about it. When Sandalphon brought it up with his fellow archangels, they all dismissed him, saying either they couldn’t do anything about it if Michael and Amenadiel couldn't, they were scared of facing Samael, or they simply didn’t care. This made Sandalphon furious. He couldn’t believe when the archangels became a pathetic pack of pussies and pushovers. They were to be feared by all, warriors who should not be cowering before Samael or just not caring to do what was required of them.
Sandalphon went to Amenadiel and saw him sparring with Remiel. Then he went to the throne room, where he saw Michael lecturing Zadkiel and Raguel on something. He interrupted them, saying, "Michael, you need to do something about Samael. He is on Earth again and is with that demon Lilith."
Michael was having a long and stressful day. He had more complaints than usual, and like always, he was doing all of this by himself. Currently, he was dealing with Raguel and Zadkiel arguing. This usually began at the Heaven gates, where Raguel gave out punishment to a human soul if the soul didn’t automatically go to Hell based on their guilt. Raguel would either send it to Heaven or Hell, but Zadkiel would then come and either argue that the soul didn’t belong in Heaven as the human was not righteous enough or say Raguel was doing his job wrong. Both cases would lead to Raguel punching Zadkiel in the face, and a fight would start.
Michael usually had to give the final say and usually sided with Raguel, as it was his domain to do it. He told Zadkiel to stop interfering in Raguel's job and to do his own job, which wasn’t much but just sitting around basically. What was the point of the Archangel of Righteousness besides telling people what’s right or doing what he believes is right? Michael thought Zadkiel was simply bored and wanted to.
Michael was about to tell Raguel and Zadkiel to cease their arguing and resume their duties, intending to side with Raguel as usual. However, within that moment, another nuisance came to Michael, someone he tolerated even less than Raguel and Zadkiel – his younger brother, Sandalphon. Sandalphon seemed to think he knew best, often forgetting the chain of command and insisting his way was the only way. He had a subtle rudeness about him that grated on Michael's nerves. Adding to Michael's frustration was Sandalphon's brutish yet patient demeanor – he loved to use brute force but was patient enough to wait for the right moment to strike. Despite begrudgingly admiring this trait, Michael couldn't overlook Sandalphon's arrogance.
Sandalphon boldly entered the throne room without permission and interrupted Michael's meeting, informing him about Samael's presence on Earth with the demon Lilith.
Michael, dripping with sarcasm, responded, "Sandalphon, how wonderful it is to see you again, especially walking in without permission and interrupting my meeting. Please, continue."
Sandalphon could sense Michael's annoyance but cared little for it. He reiterated the urgent news about Samael, expecting Michael to take action.
However, Michael's dismissive response infuriated Sandalphon. "I heard you very well the first time. So what if Samael goes to Earth all the time? How is it any of my concern or yours? Who cares if he brings a demon to Earth? As long as the demon doesn't cause too many problems, I couldn't care less. Now, if you don't mind, I have a meeting here,"
Michael said, brushing off Sandalphon's concerns and turning back to Raguel and Zadkiel.
Unsatisfied, Sandalphon couldn't contain himself. "I'm sorry, did you not hear what I said? The Devil is walking on Earth with a demon. I demand you do something about this at once!" Sandalphon exploded in frustration at Michael's nonchalance.
Despite his desire to smite Sandalphon for his insolence, Michael took a deep breath to calm himself. He warned Sandalphon, "This is a warning. I heard what you wanted to say despite interrupting my meeting. This conversation is finished."
In the corner, Raguel and Zadkiel watched silently. They shared Sandalphon's outrage at Samael walking on Earth but remained quiet, realizing Michael was on the brink of losing his temper. To them, Sandalphon appeared either oblivious or foolish for continuing to challenge Michael.
"I can’t…" Sandalphon began, but he couldn't finish his sentence as Michael cut him off.
“SANDALPHON, I SAID THAT IS ENOUGH! DON’T FORGET YOUR PLACE AND REMEMBER WHO YOU ARE SPEAKING TO!” Michael thundered across The Silver City, making the realm shake. His voice undoubtedly gathered the attention of all the archangels and angels. Michael had had enough of Sandalphon's insolence and was pleased with what he heard Sandalphon say next.
Sandalphon stepped back upon hearing Michael's voice, realizing he had gone too far. He knew he was one step away from ending up in Raphael's infirmary if he continued to push Michael. He should be surprised he was able to get this far. Sandalphon knelt and told Michael, “I apologize for my actions, and I shall remember my place before you.”
Sandalphon couldn’t believe he was kneeling and debasing himself like this to Michael. He would love to bring Michael down from his pedestal and show him how truly worthless he is. He noticed Raguel and Zadkiel, who were still in the corner, snickering, even though they were just scared when Michael yelled at him.
Michael was pleased that for once, Sandalphon finally shut up. Unlike Gabriel, Sandalphon truly annoyed him to the point where he nearly wanted to destroy him. He dismissed Sandalphon and watched as he walked out scowling.
Michael turned back to Raguel and Zadkiel and said, “Zadkiel, stop interfering with Raguel's job for the millionth time and just continue to do your job. Raguel, stop punching Zadkiel every single time he says something.” Michael said calmly but sharply to ensure his point came across. He watched as Raguel and Zadkiel walked out, with Zadkiel visibly upset. Michael once again didn’t care and took a deep breath, closing his eyes, trying to relax, knowing he would likely face another problem any minute.
Meanwhile, in his chambers, Sandalphon was throwing random stuff all over the place in anger at the way he was treated by Michael and his dismissive attitude towards Samael and a demon being on Earth. He was planning on giving up until he received a prayer from a human who seemed to be praying to no one in particular, asking for forgiveness or whatever. He would usually just ignore any prayer from a disgusting human until a plan came into his head. So, he released his wings and flew down to Earth in front of the human, emitting a divine light from his body. He looked down on the human, already knowing his name from the prayer.
After Kinley's prayer, he honestly wasn’t expecting anyone to answer but was shocked when a bright light filled up his apartment. He bowed, kneeling in more subservient positions in front of the being before him. He was shocked at what he heard next.
Sandalphon was confused by the many positions the human was doing and chuckled to himself that humans are dumb. Then he decided to stick it to Michael and told the human, “Do not be afraid, human. I have come to give you good news. I am the Archangel Michael, and I bring news to tell you that you have been forgiven for your crimes and will not face punishment. You have been chosen by God to make the world a better place for all eternity. I will come to you one day to do it.” Sandalphon read Kinley's mind before leaving and found the dead bodies of the women and child. He turned their bodies to ash before returning to The Silver City and started formulating a plan to bring down Samael and Michael.
Kinley was shocked at what The Archangel Michael told him, mostly that he was chosen by God to make the world a better place. So, he decided to go back to college and major in Religion. After four years, he graduated and became a Priest, starting to work with the Vatican, specializing in the supernatural. He moved to Rome, Italy.
20 years later in Heaven, Sandalphon had been very patient and busy devising a plan to bring down Samael and Michael. He discovered that Samael was on Earth and had even fallen in love with a human woman who was apparently blessed by Amenadiel due to his father's inte. In that moment, a plan formed in Sandalphon's mind. He ventured to Hell, found a demon, and killed it using fire. After the demon died, he extracted its blood and returned to Heaven. With other materials, he crafted a vial of poison.
From Heaven, Sandalphon watched Samael, the human woman named Chloe, and the rest of the humans surrounding Samael every day, waiting for the perfect time to strike. The biggest challenge was how to deliver the poison to Samael, as he couldn't give it to himself voluntarily, and Chloe didn't have the motive to give it to him even if she knew he was the Devil. Sandalphon found Ella not an option due to her personality, which reminded him of Azrael or Gabriel, both of whom he disliked. Additionally, he couldn't approach Linda Martin alone due to Mazikeen always being with her, and he was wary of her power.
Another problem was Amenadiel and Samael themselves, as individually, they could overpower and kill Sandalphon effortlessly. Despite Amenadiel temporarily losing his powers, they were eventually restored, rendering this advantage moot. Moreover, separating them from their human friends would be challenging without directly intervening on Earth, a risk Sandalphon was unwilling to take.
However, after four years of Earth time passed, Sandalphon found a perfect opportunity to intervene when Chloe flew to Rome after witnessing Samael kill Cain in his devil form. Sandalphon released his wings, took the vial of poison, and flew to Earth to find William Kinley, a human he had met many years ago and who was also in Rome.
Kinley was in the midst of his daily prayer when he heard a whooshing noise and turned to see The Archangel Michael standing before him once more. Kinley staggered to him, bowing, and asked fearfully, “Oh my… sorry, I mean Archangel Michael, can I be of any assistance?”
Sandalphon smirked, almost forgetting that Kinley referred to him as his brother Michael. Deciding to maintain the act, he addressed Kinley, saying, “Listen, William Kinley, I once told you there would come a time where you would fulfill your life's purpose of making Earth a better place for eternity. Do you remember this conversation?” Seeing Kinley nod, Sandalphon continued, “The Devil walks the Earth, and he is intent on bringing about the end of times and torturing all humans in the process.”
Kinley listened patiently but was confused. He asked, “Not to be disrespectful, but isn't the end of times written in the Bible, where Jesus Christ and the host of angels defeat the Devil and bring forth paradise? Why would he stop that from happening?”
Sandalphon mentally chastised himself for forgetting about humans' beliefs regarding the end of times. He quickly improvised, “You are correct, William Kinley. The Bible does indeed mention Jesus stopping the Devil from bringing about the end of times. However, that time is not here yet. This is one of the times where the Devil will try to hasten the end of times prematurely, disrupting God's plan. He must be stopped, as it is God's will.” Sandalphon hoped this explanation would suffice for Kinley.
Twenty years later in Heaven, Sandalphon had been very patient and busy devising a plan to bring down Samael and Michael. He discovered that Samael was on Earth and had even fallen in love with a human woman blessed by Amenadiel due to her father's connection. In that moment, Sandalphon formulated a plan. He ventured to Hell, found a demon, and killed it using fire. After the demon died, he extracted its blood and returned to Heaven. With other materials, he crafted a vial of poison. From Heaven, he watched Samael, the human woman Chloe, and the other humans Samael surrounded himself with, every day, waiting for the perfect moment to strike. The biggest problem was how to get the poison to Samael, as he couldn't give it to himself voluntarily. Additionally, he couldn't simply give it to Chloe, as she lacked the motive to administer it to Samael, even if Sandalphon revealed himself to her and told her about Samael's true identity.
Ella was not an option due to her personality, which disgusted Sandalphon as she reminded him of Azrael or Gabriel. Furthermore, he recalled Ella mentioning that she thought the Devil got a bad rap, which infuriated him. Sandalphon took her out of consideration. Daniel Espinoza seemed like a good option, and there was also Linda Martin but she was great friends with Samael and does not seem like the person to poison his brother, but neither were ideal choices anyway. Moreover, it was nearly impossible to get Linda alone, as Mazikeen, the demon, was always with her. Although Sandalphon wasn't afraid of Mazikeen, he was wary of her power and knew he would face a tough fight if he confronted her directly. Lucifer and Amenadiel would likely notice his presence if he fought Mazikeen. Thus, Sandalphon decided to be patient and wait for the right moment.
However, after four years of Earth time passed, Sandalphon found the perfect opportunity to intervene. Chloe flew to Rome after witnessing Samael kill Cain in his devil form. Sandalphon released his wings, took the vial, and flew to Earth, appearing before William Kinley, the human he had met many years ago.
Kinley was in the midst of his daily prayer when he heard a whooshing noise and saw the being he believes to be Archangel Michael before him once more. Kinley staggered to him, bowing, and asked fearfully, “Oh my… sorry, I mean, Archangel Michael, can I be of any assistance?”
Sandalphon smirked, almost forgetting that the human referred to him as his brother Michael. Nevertheless, he decided to keep up the act and told Kinley, “Listen, William Kinley, I once told you there would come a time when you would fulfill your life's purpose of making the Earth a better place for the rest of eternity. Do you remember this conversation?” Seeing Kinley nod, Sandalphon continued, “The Devil walks the Earth, and he is going to bring about the end of times, torturing all humans in the process.”
Kinley listened patiently but was confused. He asked, “Not to be disrespectful, but isn’t the end of times written in the Bible, where Jesus Christ and the host of angels defeat the Devil himself and bring forth paradise? Why would he stop that from happening?”
Sandalphon mentally slapped himself for forgetting that humans believed his half-brother would bring forth the end of times. He didn't even know where that idea came from. Nevertheless, he needed to think quickly before a smarter human got suspicious. He replied, “You are correct, William Kinley. The Bible indeed talks about Jesus stopping the Devil from bringing forth the end of times. However, that time is not here yet. This is one of the times when the Devil will try to bring forth the end of times early to disrupt God's plan. He must be stopped, as it is God's will.” Sandalphon hoped his response was enough to convince the human.
Kinley thought that what The Archangel was saying was making sense, and his reason was solid. It was God's will; who was he to question it? So, he decided to apologize for questioning, “I’m sorry for questioning you, Archangel Michael. I was merely curious, that’s all,” hoping he wouldn’t be punished for technically questioning God's Will.
Sandalphon inwardly breathed a sigh of relief, noting that the human wasn't too smart. He felt the urge to turn Kinley into nothing more than ash, but he wasn't allowed to kill humans directly. He had come too far in his plan to exact vengeance on the human for not believing in him even for a moment. He replied, “That’s okay, William Kinley, but remember, those are blessed who believe without seeing. Aside from that, I have a vial that needs to be given to Lucifer to send him back to Hell. This will sadly kill the vessel he's in, but it will free the soul to Heaven. Within a few weeks, he will meet a woman named Chloe Decker, the concubine of the devil, who will bring forth the Antichrist if she continues to live. So, you must kill her with this blade.” Sandalphon handed Kinley a standard angel blade; giving him his own blade would be a dead giveaway if someone caught Kinley killing Chloe. Besides, no human was worthy of even looking at Sandalphon's blade.
Kinley looked at the blade, feeling its power emanating from it. He glanced back at the being he believed was The Archangel Michael and said, “I will complete the task you and God have set before me, Archangel Michael. Thank you for this chance,” in reverence. Then, he watched as the Archangel disappeared.
Sandalphon was pleased with the outcome and assured Kinley that he would be granted salvation for this. He flew back to Heaven, watching as his plan unfolded.
Back in the present time, Amenadiel had no idea what to expect when he arrived, other than finding his brother's dead body. However, he certainly wasn't expecting to see Chloe lying in a pool of her own blood, with the priest holding a celestial weapon. He decided to go to Chloe first and, after releasing his wings and grabbing a feather, he applied it to Chloe's stomach, healing her, despite his displeasure with her. Before interrogating Chloe, he wanted to hear her full version of events regarding Lucifer's death. While healing Chloe, he didn't notice the priest coming at him with the celestial weapon.
Suddenly, a being appeared in front of Amenadiel, and in less than a second, he grabbed Kinley by the throat and lifted him into the air, squeezing hard enough to prevent him from breathing or speaking. Remiel addressed the human, "How dare you try to attack an Archangel, you filthy human."
Kinley, realizing Remiel must also be an angel, attempted to attack, but then realized she might be trying to deceive him, as demons do. He brought the blade up and sliced Remiel's arm, causing her to hiss. He was about to strike again when he heard a voice unlike any other, compelling him to do things against his will.
Amenadiel, grateful for Remiel's intervention, finished healing Chloe and helped her to a chair. Then, he turned to see the human priest wielding the celestial weapon against Remiel. Despite knowing the blade couldn't kill an archangel, Amenadiel decided to step in. Doing something he hadn't done in a long time, he used his true voice as The Metatron, addressing Father Kinley, "WILLIAM KINLEY, I AM AMENADIEL, THE FIRSTBORN OF GOD AND GODDESS, BUT YOU MAY KNOW ME AS THE METATRON. YOU HAVE ATTACKED THE ARCHANGEL REMIEL. I COMMAND YOU TO STAND STILL AND BE QUIET UNLESS SPOKEN TO. SO IT SHALL BE DONE."
Kinley found himself unable to move his mouth or tongue, feeling his soul responding to Amenadiel's voice. Though he could still think, he trembled in front of the being, realizing the gravity of the situation. Amenadiel, sensing Kinley's discomfort, explained, "I CAN SEE YOU ARE FEELING UNCOMFORTABLE RIGHT NOW, AND I ALSO KNOW YOU ARE FEELING SOMETHING ELSE AS WELL. YOUR SOUL IS OBEYING MY VOICE, AND WHATEVER I SAY WILL AFFECT YOUR SOUL, COMPELLING IT TO FULFILL MY REQUEST." After the message was delivered, Amenadiel reverted to his original self.
Remiel instantly healed from her wound inflicted by the blade, trying to maintain her composure ever since she felt Amenadiel's mere presence change and him becoming The Metatron. She was fearful yet in awe because while Amenadiel didn’t change physically except for his eyes turning into pure divinity, which is a color no human can even begin to process, the closest thing they will see is pure golden eyes. Every time Amenadiel uttered words, she could feel reality itself shuddering at Amenadiel's commanding and absolute voice.
Kinley decided to just do anything else and heed the being in front of him's words. Not like he could do anything, as he tried but found himself unable to say a word and standing still.
Amenadiel sighed to himself; he really doesn’t like using his voice too much as it usually leaves him with a big headache afterward. Amenadiel turned to Chloe and said, “As you can see, Chloe, I have little patience right now, and I want you to tell me what exactly you did to Lucifer. I don’t have time for the run-around either, just speak.” Chloe then proceeded to tell him, barely able to compose herself.
Chloe was downright terrified and couldn’t help but start sweating when she heard Amenadiel's voice change. She had never felt such power in her life, and something as terrifying as Lucifer's devil form had nothing on Amenadiel's mere voice. When Amenadiel asked her to explain what she did, she decided not to play games, seeing he was nowhere near a good mood.
After explaining what she did, Chloe couldn’t look at Amenadiel, starting to regret her actions, knowing that maybe poisoning Lucifer went too far.
Amenadiel took a deep breath and got up. While he wanted to lecture Chloe on what she did, he couldn’t, as he would be a hypocrite. He had tried to send Lucifer back to Hell himself before, just to please his father, which probably made him worse than Chloe. As terrible as what she did was, she had done it out of fear and was also persuaded by a priest.
Not only that, but most of humanity believed the Devil to be nothing more than a pure evil being who loves to torture and torment humans, which is nothing like Lucifer. So can anyone truly blame Chloe for acting how she did? Now granted, most people wouldn’t try to kill the Devil by poisoning him, but it's not unlikely for them to react in such a way. Besides, Chloe is not his to judge anyway. After getting a gist of what happened, he turned to Remiel and told her, “Remi, I'm going to head to Hell to find Lucifer and see where Lucifer is. Can you watch Chloe and the priest while I'm gone?” Because when Lucifer died, Amenadiel could no longer feel his presence, even in Hell. He should have also revived himself by now. So, when Remiel nodded, he released his wings and flew to Hell.
Meanwhile, in The Silver City, Michael instantly felt when Lucifer vanished. While he said he may not care, he couldn’t help but care that his twin died, despite knowing he can revive himself. He became even more worried when he couldn’t feel his presence. However, he knows Amenadiel can handle it, especially when he felt Amenadiel tap into his “The Metatron” self. So he knows Amenadiel is not playing around, feeling good about that to an extent, as he felt Amenadiel go into Hell. Michael just hopes he doesn’t lay waste to every demon in Hell in his anger. Not that Michael cares much for demons, but that will leave the souls there not being tortured, which will cause problems. He might go down and help, but first, he needs to deal with Raguel and Zadkiel arguing once again.
Meanwhile in Hell, Azazel was having the time of his life. He had made many scars on Lucifer, mostly by putting a demon pentagram on Lucifer's chest with a demon blade, from which Lucifer was still bleeding. He also had Lucifer chained up and stripped him of his clothes. He brought many demons whom Lucifer had treated badly, and they took turns beating him and forcing him to do their menial work. A collar was always on Lucifer's neck, and when Lucifer started to be disobedient, the demons would use a shock that Azazel had put in the chains, causing agonizing pain to any archangel, including Lucifer, which forced Lucifer back into work.
However, one day Azazel heard one of his subjects say that Amenadiel was in Hell. So, he threw Lucifer into his mother's cage, locked the cage, and tried to think of anything to make Amenadiel go away and leave Hell. He knew that if Amenadiel found out what he did, he would brutally kill him. As Azazel paced around, trying to think of what to do, he heard wings whooshing in and saw an archangel he did not recognize.
Sandalphon was happy, as his plan was starting to fall right into place. He wanted to save Michael for last, as he knew that getting rid of Amenadiel, Michael, and Samael was the biggest threat to him. During this time, he realized that he wanted to become the new ruler of Heaven and the universe. He wanted to change the archangels and angels, reminding them that they were warriors who should not just rule the Silver City, Heaven, and technically Earth, but everything in all of existence. From the Endless realms, Hell, and even different timelines and universes, as he and the other archangels and angels should have the only right to rule anything. Sandalphon also wanted to gain the full respect of the archangels. While angels respected and feared him, the archangels thought of him as just a brute idiot. Sandalphon planned on proving them wrong.
Sandalphon had been aware of what Azazel had been up to in Hell. He decided to go to Hell, well aware of what Azazel was doing with Samael, but he didn’t care. He thought it was well-deserved, and besides, he needed some powerful allies. While he despised working with a demon, he knew Azazel was the most powerful of all of Hell, with the exception of Samael. Azazel was around the same power as Gabriel and Raphael. So, Sandalphon got up and appeared to Azazel. Sandalphon said, “I am The Archangel Sandalphon, and I want to give you something, demon.” Sandalphon then pulled out the weapon of Samael before he fell from Heaven and became Lucifer, The Devil. Sandalphon gave Azazel The Trident of Samael, one of the five most dangerous weapons in existence that could even kill God and Goddess.
