Chapter 1: Sludgy Situation
Chapter Text
"A thermometer shelter? You're telling me the commission hid a quirked object in a thermometer shelter outside a middle school." In the dead of night a tired gruff man in all black, except a strange scraf that was wrapped around his neck, sighed into his phone.
"Haha! Recovering it should be no problem then!" An overly enthusiastic voice came from the other end of the call, causing the man in black to sigh as he opened the shelter unit. "There's nothing here, the box is empty." The tired man made no exempt to hide his rising irritation throughout his last sentence.
The overly enthusiastic voice returned with seemingly more enthusiasm as if to purposely get under the man's skin. "For real? That's hilarious!" The tired man's grip on his phone tightened as the other voiced seemed to enjoy his misery. "I'm gonna strangle you." The chipper voice replied further cementing the worn man's misery. "Well, pretty sure you can't call it a night till it's recovered, okay?" The only thoughts going through the irritated man's head now was how much he wanted to strangle the person on the other end of the call.
-
The next day at Aldera Middle School after classes for the day had ended there was a door with a piece of paper taped to the front and the words "Occult Club" hand written on the paper. Inside the room three students all in there last year of junior high sit crowded around a ouija board. One with a green mess of hair starts the conversation. "You guys sure about this?" Both the other students nodded and as all three put a finger on the planchette the boy with the green hair looked at one of his classmates, who has pale grey hair covering one of their blue eyes, saying. "Yanagi, you got it." The girl in question then nodded and said in a chant like voice. "Sprits. Please reveal and animal that Bakugo is weaker than!"
The enthusiastic statement made the boy with the green hair let out a small laugh as all the students hands began moving, causing the girl known as Yanagi to comment "Spooky." As their hands moved they came to a stop over certain letters, in the end the word spelled out was "Carp". The boy with green hair responded by bursting out in laughter and barely getting out. "What?! A fish?!" At that moment the door to the room nearly came off of its hinges as it was flung open with the assist of a familiar sounding explosion.
"Hey losers! This room now belongs to the 'Bakugo Club' so scram!" The new arrival known as Bakugo wasted no time making his presence know and as per usual he was followed by his two cronies. The green boy then stood up facing Bakugo. "Hey! We were here first you can't just take our club room." Argued the green boy. Bakugo then responded with a fierce look and a challenge. "Do something about it then, you quirkless Deku." The green boy grit his teeth in response and was about to speak up when another one of his classmates spoke up.
"Our club has been looking into the eerie sounds that have recently been heard by the sewers around or school. The sounds have apparently been so terrifying that some students have fainted upon hearing them." The student with a bird like head spoke up from behind his green classmate. And Yanagi took this opportunity to interject herself into this conversation aswell. "Tokoyami is exactly right! These strange sounds have to be the source of a spirit! Spooky." The blonde terror known as Bakugo responded with a scoff to which then made of his goons speak up. "Actually there have been reports of a liquid esc villian who has been hiding in the sewers from heroes." The other goon then chimed in. "Yeah exactly. And ghosts aren't real so what exactly do you do?" This caused the three members of the occult club to momentarily wear a defeated expression, but then the green one put on a more serious expression showing that they wouldn't give up the room. As a result Bakugo clicked his tongue and issued a challenge.
"Alright how 'bout we compete for the room then Deku?" The green one in question looked confused, asking "Compete?" Bakugo then continued "Yeah, on the field let's see who can throw a ball the farthest. Winner gets the room!" The one referred to as Deku then nodded in confirmation stating "Let's do it."
As all six students walked onto the field one of Bakugo's cronies asked him. "You sure about this man? I mean Midoriya might not have a quirk but his strength is comparable to one." Bakugo scoffed in response and stated "You're either underestimating me or overestimating that useless loser. Either way just shut up and watch!"
The goons stood on the sideline of the field to measure the distance and the other four stood near the end zone. Other students had seen wondered what was going on and crowded around aswell. Bakugo readied himself and looked back at the one now properly known as Midoriya and said. "Don't feel to bad when you lose Deku. It's only natural for people like you." With that being said Bakugo chucked the ball with all his might, with the ball landing on tge other half of the field the underlings yelled out. "About 67 meters!" Causing Bakugo to smirk and look back at a blank faced Midoriya.
"So I just throw it?" Midoriya asked looking back at his club members. "Yes Midoriya." Yanagi said earning a sigh from Tokoyami.
Midoriya smiled and said "Alright!" Before throwing the ball causing it to rocket of the field and over the closest fence.
"Uhhh. Like atleast 120 meters." The cronies of Bakugo seemingly deflated while saying that while the gathered crowd erupted into chatter. Midoriya turned around and began walking away with his club mates.
"You didn't have to do that for us y'know." Yanagi stated more as a fact. Midoriya just smiled and said "Yeah I know, you guys are fun to hang out with though. And you're one of the only clubs who would let me join, so think of it as returning the favor." Tokoyami seemed to hum in agreement when a loud yelling got closer to the group.
An explosion hit the back of Midoriya causing the contents of his backpack to spill over the ground. "You think you're better than me Deku!" Bakugo yelled. "Wasn't that kinda the point of that?" Midoriya said under his breath something that went unnoticed by the explosive blonde. "Well you're not and you better know your place under my heel! Got it!" Bakugo continued and then stomped off not waiting for a response.
At the top of a nearby staircase a tired looking man in black stood watching the recent events unfold. His eyes quickly keyed in a small box that fell from the green haired kids backpack and he quickly began rushing down the stairs. When he was nearly at the bottom the kid checked his phone and exclaimed "Ah! It's already half passed four! Sorry guys I gotta go!" And the green haired kid shot off before the tired man could make it. "Wait." The tired man said as he stared with a red glow in his eyes at the incredible speed the kid displayed. "How the heck is he so fast." The tired man sighed.
Two kids behind him began a conversation "Apparently he can run 50 meters in three seconds." Hearing this the tired man's face displayed shock and exhaustion as another kid commented. "What is he, a car?"
-
At Mustafu Hospital the green haired boy was filling a vase with flowers by the window sill. "Izuku, I have some final words for you." The boy in question turned his head to look at the person laying in the hospital bed. "You're gonna be fine mom, it's not that bad." The boy turned his attention back to the vase and continued working. "It's about your father..."
"Stop, I don't care!"
The woman in the bed sat up a bit and grabbed handfuls of her blanket. "It's about your father!" Izuku was quick to respond. "Like I said, I don't care. He didn't want to be apart of our lives so why should I care. Just be you usual self okay?" The finished in a defeated tone.
With a sigh, Izuku's mother change the conversation. "You should save your money instead of buying flowers everyday." As she said that Izuku finished with the vase setting it down on the window sill. "There for the nurses too. Gotta get boring if every room looks the same." He said turning around with a small smile. Izuku's mother once again shifted the conversation attempting to keep it going. "Hey what about your club. Would you rather spend time with them than be in a place like this?"
"That's enough mom, club ends before five and I wouldn't be here if I didn't have the free time." The woman laid back down and rolled onto her side facing away from Izuku saying "Pretty stress free life huh?" A smile could faintly be heard in her words. "Izuku..."
"Yeah?" Izuku turned his attention to the window staring out at the sky while listening to what his mother had to say. "You're a strong kid, so help people. It doesn't have to be everyone like All Might, just whatever you can... You may feel lost but don't expect gratitude, just help them...
And when it's your time to go, make sure your surrounded by others. I don't want you to end up like me..."
"Mom?" Izuku said turning around.
"Yes how may i help you?" The voice from the hospital line could be heard in Izuku's hand.
"Mr. Midoriya?" Izuku looked up as tears began to well up in his eyes.
"My mom is dead."
-
Izuku stood at the front desk filling out the required documentation. "Yup. That should be it for the required documents." The receptionist told Izuku. "Okay. Thanks for everything." Izuku responded and the receptionist gave a sad look asking "Are you sure you're okay?"
"Well, it's kinda my first time experiencing this. It hasn't really sunk in yet... But I don't think my mom would be very happy if I just moped around. Gotta try and keep smiling."
The receptionist gave a sympathetic smile as there conversation came to a close.
"Izuku Midoriya, correct?" Izuku looked to the side and saw a tired looking man with long hair, in all black, and a weird looking scarf. "I'm the pro-hero Eraser Head. Sorry, but there's now time. The quirked object you have is extremely dangerous hand it over right away." Izuku was immediately confused as he felt like he was being bounced around. "Hold up man, I'm kinda grieving... quirked object?"
The man who claimed to be Eraser Head pulled him to the side as he showed him his phone and on it was an image of a small box. "This, you have it right?" Izuku examined the picture on the phone and then said "Oh yeah! I found it. I don't really mind giving it back, but my club mates really seemed to take a liking to it. So I'd atleast like an explanation." Eraser Head paused, then let out a sigh as he went to give his explanation. "The object in that box has a quirk, believe it or not and it's powerful. There are multiple objects out there and they attract attention of villians for their power. That's why the commission hid the ones they have in places they thought no one would look, clearly underestimating the stupidity of middle schoolers." Izuku upon hearing that chimed in saying "ouch". Eraser Head chise to ignore him and continued his explanation. "The paper on the object is a seal keeping its presence hidden, but it will soon wear off. So I was sent to retrieve it... So before anyone dies. Hand it over."
"Like I said I don't care, but my club mates really like it." Izuku said tossing the box over. Eraser Head quickly opened the box only to realize it was empty. With a sigh he turned to Midoriya demanding. "Where are the contents?" Midoriya threw his hands up defensively saying. "Like I said, my club mates liked it." Eraser Head could nearly feel his blood boiling as he asked. "Where do they live?" As he asked that he wrapped Midoriya in his scarf causing confusion to cross Midoriya's face as he answered. "Not sure. Somewhere in-" Midoriya stopped halfway through his sentence.
"What's wrong?" Midoriya raised his hand to the back of his head as he said. "They mentioned something about peeling off that seal. Tonight, at school." Eraser Head gave a face of terror and shock causing Midoriya to ask a question this time. "Is that bad?"
"It's not just bad. They,ll die!"
-
"I can't get it off!" Yanagi was picking at the paper of the quirked object in the occult club room with the only light being that of a candle. Tokoyami decided to speak up. "Was it really necessary to sneak into school for this?" Yanagi waved him off stating "Atmosphere is important for stuff like this y'know? I know nothing is going to happen, so setting a spooky mood is important to make it more thrilling." As she finished saying that the paper seal began to peel off leading to Yanagi taking the rest of the paper off. "Oh! Look! It came off!" With the paper coming undone Yanagi let out a gasp. "What the-!"
"What's the matter?" Tokoyami was quick to check if something had gone wrong only for Yanagi to be perfectly fine. "Spooky, it's a... human finger?" As the two students stared at the severed finger a green sludge-like liquid began to descend from the vents above the students.
-
"Do seals come off easily?" Midoriya asked the man he has recently come to know as Eraser Head. "No, normally there is a long process, but that seal is so old it might aswell just be paper." While the two continued to run towards Aldera Junior High Midoriya could help but think that this all sounds unbelievable and that the man running next to him might just be crazy and not a pro-hero.
As the arrived at the school Midoriya could help but nearly crumple to the overwhelming pressure that was coming off the building. "You stay here. Where's your club room?" Eraser Head quickly asked. Although Midoriya seemed taken aback. "Hold on! I'm coming with you! It's bad right? I've known those guys all of junior high, they're my friends. I can't abandon them!" Eraser Head looked back at Midoriya while his eyes emanated an ominous red glow. "Stay here!"
-
Inside the building Yanagi sat curled up in a corner as she talked to herself under her breath. "What was that? Was that a villian?"
She quickly turned at the sound of footsteps and saw the outline of her classmate. "Tokoyami! Thank God! Where were..." Her words died in her throat as Tokoyami approached but his head was covered in a green sludge-like substance. Staring at her from the sludge were piercing red eyes that did not below to her classmate.
A terrifying voice came from her classmate in a low rumble as a mouth appeared in the slime. "This brat doesn't have it! Where is it, give it to me!" As those words left the sludge Yanagi felt an indescribable sense of dread wash over her body.
-
Outside Midoriya stood alone infront of his school. As the last words he heard front Eraser Head replayed through his mind. "What am I doing?" He thought out loud as he began an inner monologue. "What am I so afraid of? Death... I can somehow feel death from the school. Am I afraid of dying. I wonder if mom was scared. No, probably not. I cried because I was sad, not scared... The death I face now... and mom's death, how's it different?" Midoriya looked down at the ground in thought as he replayed his mother's last moments, recalling her words "You're a strong kid, so help people." With that Izuku looked up towards the school with new found determination.
-
Eraser Head felt he was getting close, the kid told him where the club room was and he was just around the corner. As he turned the corner he saw a monster that appeared to be made of sludge holding the two kids hostage. The man attempted to use his quirk only for nothing to happen. "He must not be able to change to a more human form." Eraser Head thought aloud. Not knowing which kid had the finger Eraser Head threw his scarf towards one of the kids in the slime. Pulling neck on the scarf he managed to rescue a kid with a bird head as he attracted the attention of the sludge man.
"Oh! What are you gonna do, tie me up! Not possible!" The sludge said with a laugh, he then continued. "Just let me get the finger and then I'll kill you." With that Eraser Head readied himself for attack, he had to save that other kid. Then he noticed something the sludge figure was increasing the size of their mouth.
"Crap!" The hero thought "Their gonna swallow the kid and the finger whole. I'm too late!"
"Impatient and stubborn. No one ever went to see her but me. 'Don't end up like me.' Huh? I guess so.
Suddenly one of the windows of the hallway shattered and in came. "Midoriya!" Eraser Head shouted mentally noting that they were on the forth floor. Midoriya quickly delivered a strong kick to the eye of the sludge causing it to reel back in pain. "I think you died properly, mom." Midoriya thought to himself. Taking the opportunity he then grabbed his grey haired classmate and ran over towards the hero at the other end of the hall. Looking back at the sludge villian, Midoriya finished his earlier train of thought. "And this would be and improper death!"
"Nornally I'd be pissed. But good job." Eraser Head stated with his attention on the green haired boy. Said boy looked up and thought out loud. "Why're you all high and mighty?" Earning a glare from the hero he said. "You don't seem too scared. It's surprising for never being in a situation like this." Midoriya perked up for a second to then instantly display a more sad expression.
"Well, I was... Did you know? People actually die." The hero stared at the kid in somewhat disbelief and his mouth fell open.
"So I figured that for the people I know... I want them to have a proper death. I don't entirely get it either but..." as Midoriya said that something fell from the pocket of his classmate in his arms. Looking down he picked it up looking at the hero in front of him. "Is this is?" The hero quickly responded. "Yeah. Quirked object Ryomen Sukuna, well part of it."
"Ryom..?" Midoriya started only to be interrupted by the hero. "Forget it. It dangerous, just hand it over." The boy began to do as order holding out his hand. "Yeah yeah." As Midoriya held his hand out, Eraser Head noticed a dark liquid descending on them from the ceiling and quickly pushed Midoriya out of the way throwing the student on the ground with them. He then shouted. "Run!" As the ceiling collapsed with the sludge villains descent.
"Eraser Head!" Midoriya shouted try to confirm if the hero was okay. The hero was now face to face with the villain and once again tried activating his quirk, only for nothing to happen once again. "You're gonna pay for getting in my way hero!" The sludge yelled as it threw the hero into a wall not far from Midoriya. Cause the hero to let out a pained grunt and the green haired boy to shout out in concern.
The slime rammed into the hero causing them both to break through the wall and tumble onto the roof of a lower section of the school. After bouncing on the concrete Eraser Head stood up with a bloodied face. "My quirk doesn't work on him. Dammit I can't think straight." The hero thought as he got I to a fighting stance. Suddenly Midoriya jumped out the previously made hole in the wall and landed a punch to the sludge figures head causing ripples through its body.
"You okay?!" The teen asked as he landed next to the hero. "I thought I told you to run." The hero said with a hint of irritation in his voice. "Forget it! I'd be having nightmares if I left now!" Midoriya quickly chimed. "Besides..." he thought back to his mother's words "help people". "I've actually got quite the job to do myself." Midoriya attempted trading blows with the villain or parrying its attacks to no avail.
Getting thrown back to where to hero was Midoriya groaned "I can't hit it." The hero scoffed at that as the kid got back up and was attacked by the sludge villain. I told you to run! You were the only one who could've gotten those other two to safety while I distracted it. Now we all might die."
Attempting with minimal success to claw him way out of the sludge Midoriya managed to get his upper half free. "Why does this thing want the finger for anyway?" The struggling teen asked.
"It plans on eating it in the hopes of gaining newfound power." The Injured hero wasn't quite sure what else to do in there situation besides waiting for backup. "And we can't hit this guy... So you could say, one of us needs some power right now." The teen was wildly moving in the sludge whilst keeping the finger away from it, as the hero understood what the teen was saying, his eyes widened in shock. "You idiot! You better not!" But his words reached deaf ears as Midoriya shoved the finger into his mouth quickly swallowing afterwards.
"That object is equivalent to a deadly poison, the chances of him gaining power let alone surviving are one in a million." The hero thought as the sludge full enveloped the teen.
Suddenly the sludge villain exploded causing it to spread out all across the roof. In the middle stood Midoriya, covered in strange black markings and his right arm raised in the air with the respective sleeve being torn to the elbow and hisneyes closed. He slowly began laughing until it became hysterical and his eyes opened along with another set of eyes slight below his normal ones. As he spoke his voice was different, it sounded as if it belonged to someone else and was soaked in malice.
"Ah! I knew it! Light is best appreciated in the flesh!" The voice from the green haired boy cackled as he tore off the remains of his shirt, revealing more black markings on Midoriy's toned body. All the while Eraser Head stared on in horror. "This is the worst case scenario!" The hero thought.
"That guy was no fun, I wanted flesh! Where are the people?! The women?!" The man that was Midoriya babbled on. Upon seeing the skyline his expression quickly went through surprise to malice once more as he jumped up onto the building's railing throwing his arms out to the side he cried out. "What a wonderful age it has become! Women and children, spawning like maggots! Marvelous!" The man then through both hands up to the sides of his head once more yelling. "It'll be a massacre!"
His right hand suddenly went to his chin as Midoriya's voice suddenly returned to the shocked of Eraser Head. "Huh? Whaddya think your doing with my body? Give it back!" The evil voice returned and questioned. "How're you able to move?"
Midoriya's voice was now back stating. "um... it's my body y'know?" As Midoriya said this he realized he could suppress the voice in his head.
Eraser Head got tired of watching Midoriya argue with himself and stood up activating his quirk while staring at Midoriya. "Don't move! You might no longer be human." This caused Midoriya to spin around and face the hero noting how his eyes were glowing red and his scarf was floating around his head. All Midoriya got out was "Huh." Before the hero continued. "Under regulations of the HPSC... Izuku Midoriya." The next words that left the heroes mouth caused the teen's eyes to widen in shock. "I'm required to bring you in or kill you where you stand!"

As Midoriya opened his eyes, he experienced tunnel vision. The feeling slowly lifted like a fog as he took in the room around him. The walls were covered in paper. "No, seals..." Izuku mentally remarked.
"Mornin'..." A chipper voice called out from in front of Midoriya cause him to focus on the source of the voice. "So which one are you now?" The man ahead of Midoriya asked a little to enthusiastic for his liking. The man was sitting in a backwards chair and had white hair and strange apparel. He was wearing all black similarly to Eraser Head, but he had a high collar and was wearing a blindfold that hid his eyes.
"Wait... aren't you..." Pieces started falling in place in Midoriya's mind although everything still felt shrouded in fog.
"Satoru Gojo." The blindfolded man spoke up before continuing. "I'm a pro-hero and a teacher at Shiketsu High. Mainly first years but it varies."
"Pro..." As he said that Midoriya seemed to fully snap awake as he attempted to stand up shouting. "Where's my friends?! Or Eraser Head?!" While shouting he realized he was tied down to a chair, letting out a "huh".
"I left Eraser to clean up the sludge mess. But I'm not sure if you should be worried about others right now. Izuku Midoriya, the commission has called for your execution." Upon hearing that Midoriya's eyes widened as his face shifted to that of confusion.
-
"You idiot! I might have to kill you now!" Earlier on the roof of Aldera Junior High a tired Eraser Head was shouting at the figure of Midoriya who was covered in black markings.
The teen in question threw his hands up in defense as he said. "Hold up. It's not a problem." Pausing slightly as the marks began to fade from his skin. "More importantly, were both pretty beat up. We should head to the hospital."
Confusion set in for the hero as he wasn't sure what to do. "Is it the quirked object or Midoriya talking right now? I can't tell! Crap! What should I do?" As Eraser Head thought to himself a voice interrupted his thoughts.
"What's the situation?" Eraser Head spun to the source of the new voice being met with a familiar blindfold. "Gojo. What are you doing here?" Eraser Head's voice instantly seemed to lose all expression as the man named Gojo responded with "Yo!"
"I wasn't gonna come at first." The man started before seemly losing his train of thought. "Hey, you're really messed up. I should show Joke this." Gojo pulled out his phone snapping a picture of the beat but Eraser Head before going back to his original conversation. "But the higher ups at the HPSC got involved and after you sent out a call for back-up I agreed to come as long as I have time to see the sights. Sooo, did you find it?" The white haired man added a teasing tone to his voice at the end.
"Um..." the confused Midoriya stood to the side with a hand slightly raised, as he continued after gaining the heroes attention. "Sorry, but I ate it." Midoriya emphasize by pointing at himself.
"For real?" Gojo asked his face practically displaying the question itself. "For real." Eraser Head reiterated to answer the Blindfolded hero's question. As a result Gojo got up closer to Midoriya's face humming in question. Midoriya himself confused ,if the man in front of him could even see, didn't move. Gojo taking in the currently closed eyes below the teens normal ones confirmed his previous statement. "Ha ha! Your not kidding, they're combined. That's hilarious. How does your body feel?"
"Okay" Midoriya replied while moving his arms around to feel for any stiffness. "Can you switch to Sukuna?" The hero in front of him asked with curiosity. "Sukuna?" Midoriya became confused unsure of what the man meant. "The quirked object you ate." Gojo elaborated. "Oh, yeah. Probably." Midoriya answered now understanding what the hero was asking.
"Ten seconds." Gojo stated as he started to stretch. "Swap for ten seconds then come back." The hero confidently told the teen, but Midoriya was skeptical. "I dunno about this." Gojo quickly eased the teens worries by saying. "Don't worry. I'm crazy strong." With a wide smile.
"Eraser, hold on to this, will ya?" Gojo asked as he tossed a shopping back no one realized he was holding at the other hero. Staring down at the bag in confusion Eraser Head's question was answered before he could ask. "It's kikufuku mochi." Eraser Head deadpanned at this mumbling under his breath. "This guy went to buy souvenirs! While people are dying."
Gojo was quick to deny what Eraser Head had said. "It's not a souvenir. That's for me to eat on the way home." As Gojo said that, Eraser Head noticed the now marked figure of Midoriya lunging at the back of his co-worker. "Behind you!" The beat up hero shouted as Midoriya's body swiped an arm at the blindfold man, only to hit air.
Standing to the back of Midoriya now Sukuna, Gojo leaned his head back talking into the ear of his opponent. "Since I've got a friend watching, I hope you don't mind me showing off a bit." As he said that Sukuna quickly spun around bringing his hand with him for a backhand on the pro. Only for Gojo to effortlessly grab the teenage body by the wrist and deliver a painful chop to the neck. The blow sent the possed body tumbling to the ground giving Sukuna breathing room. "He's unbelievably fast! No, it's not just that." The hijacker thought staring at the hero before continuing his thoughts aloud.
"It doesn't matter what era it is. You guys are always a pain! You stupid, self proclaimed, heroes!" With that Sukuna swung his arm up in front of him causing debris a d dust to come up. "But that doesn't matter to me." The body snatcher felt a smile settle on his face as the dust began to clear. "7... 8..." there was a count down from inside the smoke causing Sukuna's face to display shock.
The smoke cleared to reveal an untouched Gojo with some rubble floating around him standing in front of Eraser Head. "9... should be about time." As the hero said that Sukuna felt his control slip away as he thought. "Dammit! Again, I can't take control? This Midoriya kid, what is he?" As the marks on his skin faded away Midoriya's normal voice returned.
"Oh. Was everything okay." The teen asked as the hero let the floating concrete fall. "What a surprise! You really can control it." The hero said enthusiastically as Midoriya brought a hand up to his head and light banged his knuckles against its side. "Yeah, but he's kinda annoying. I can hear his voice." With a smirk in his voice Gojo said. "It's a miracle that's the only side effect." When he finished talking he brought to fingers to Midoriya's forgead causing him to faint, falling into the hero's arms.
"What did you do to him." Eraser Head asked off from the side. "He's knocked out. If he wakes up and isn't possessed, then he might have potential as a vessel." Gojo stated while looking down at the teen in his arms. Redirecting his attention towards his coworker he then continued. "Okay question for ya. What do I do with him?"
The erasure hero gave a stern look as he matter of factly stated. "Even if he has potential as a vessel. The commission is going to want him dead... But he's just a kid, I don't want to let him die." The blindfolded hero gave a smirk. "Is that a personal opinion?" The serious gaze of Eraser Head met the hidden one of Gojo once more. "Yes, it's a personal opinion. You got pull in the commission right? Please so something about it."
With that Gojo have a laugh before showing a big smile. "A precious friend's request. Leave it to me!" The man added a thumbs up at the end for good measure.
-
"So with that let me reiterate. You're gonna be executed." Gojo spoke spinning his index fingers in the air for flair. Midoriya paled from his position stuttering out. "That story doesn't make sense then." As Midoriya scaredly stared at the hero across from him the man spoke up. "Hey. Man, I tried. An execution is an execution, but we're suspending the sentencing."
Midoriya perked up at the man's words. "Suspending? So it's on hold for now?" The hero shifted as he began to dig in his pocket. "Yup. Let me give you a run down." Gojo pulled a finger from his pocket. "This is the same as the quirked object you ate. There's 20 in total. We currently are in possession of six."
"Twenty? Oh, so like fingers and toes." The hero quickly corrected the teen. "Nope. Sukuna had four arms." He stated as he tossed the finger to the side with his arm raised. Force shot from the man's hand launching the finger into the paper covered wall causing Midoriya to stare at the crater in the wall in surprise. Even more so as he saw an untouched finger stuck in the wall.
With attention on the finger Gojo continued. "As you can see, it can't be destroyed. It's that powerful, and with each passing day it only grows stronger." The hero had stood up looking at the wall making a remark about accidentally putting a hole in the wall. He then turned his attention to Midoriya. "That's where you come in. Sukuna somehow imbued his soul and quirk factor into his fingers, so if you die the Sukuna inside you will die aswell! The commission head is a coward, they're making a fuss about killing you right away. But that would be a waste, right?"
"Wha- a waste?" Midoriya felt as if he had too much information thrown at him at once and he didn't think the hero would elaborate any further. "There's no guarantee that a vessel capable of controlling Sukuna will ever come around again, so this was my proposal. 'If we're gonna kill him, why not kill hulim after he takes in the rest of Sukuna?'" The hero made sure that the teen had hid full attention on him before continuing. "The commission president agreed. So now you face two options. Die now, or find the remaining parts of Sukuna and die after taking it all into your body."
The teen, faced with a decision where both options end in his death, looked down with a sigh. "Better me than anyone else..."

In Musutafu Hospital, a currently unconscious Tokoyami lies in a bed while Yanagi is sat in a chair at his side. Yanagi had her attention on her classmate as she heard a knock at the door causing her to look up and see Midoriya in the doorway. "How is Tokoyami doing?" Midoriya asked as he walked over to the foot of the bed. "The doctors say he's fine, he just needs rest. But still, it's all my fault. It's because I invited him to school that night. And we probably let that villain in after us and he ended up with the more serious injuries." Yanagi directed her attention to the group as tears began to well up in her eyes.
"Hey. It wasn't your fault. That finger attracted the villain, it was something special called a quirked object." Midoriya began to explain as Yanagi looked up taking in her classmate's face. "Midoriya? Your eyes?" Midoriya couldn't bring himself to make eye contact with his friend, instead staring at his bedridden classmate as he spoke. "So it's not your fault. It's mine, I'm the one who picked up the finger in the first place... I'm sorry but don't worry. A hero is on there way who call heal up Tokoyami."
Midoriya spun on his heels as he began to walk out the door. "I'm sorry Yanagi, but there's somewhere I need to go. I'll see ya around." Midoriya gave a final wave before fully walking through the door, leaving Yanagi alone with her thoughts.
-
Outside a crematorium Midoriya and Gojo sat on a bench an urn between Midoriya's feet. "Who passed away?" The hero asked striking conversation. "My mom. She was the only family I had." The teen replied with a slight delay. "I see. Sorry to bother you at a time like this." The hero paused before continuing.
"So, have you made a decision?" The blindfolded man wasted no time getting to the point. Midoriya stared at the ground ahead of him in thought before asking. "Does this Sukuna guy cause a lot of casualties?" The hero rested his chin in his hand as he responds. "Well, this is a pretty unusual circumstance, but if you're talking about potential damage, yes. His fingers attract the worst of the worst, so there is no telling what you could run into searching for them. There is not guarantee you will make it home in one or two pieces. So anyway, pick your hell." The hero seemed satisfied with his answer as the teen next to him continued looking down in thought. Think of recent events and the people who got hurt, his mother's words replayed in his head. "You're a strong kid, so help people."
"If all of Sukuna is eliminated, the world will be a safer place right?" Midoriya broke the silence. Gojo turned his head towards the teen giving a small smile before replying. "Of course."
Midoriya steeled his resolve. "Do you still have that finger?" He asked and in response the hero handed it over. "Yeah." Examining the finger in his hand Midoriya said. "Now that I look at it again it's pretty disgusting." And without anymore warning the teen scarfed down the finger.
The hero payed close attention as he thought. "That's number two. Once tenth of the way there, huh? What's gonna happen." As markings began to appear across Midoriya's skin an incredible pressure oozed of the teen and in response Gojo sneakily readied a fist. A laugh came from Midoriya's body only to quickly devolve into a cough. "Gross!" Midoriya exclaimed sticking his tongue out.
Midoriya then stood up and Gojo smiled at the teens antics as he thought. "It's confirmed. It's not just his body's resistance. He's able to control Sukuna without a problem. This is a truly rare case indeed." Gojo ended his internal monologue with a laugh.
Confused, Midoriya asked. "You okay?" The hero waved him off. "It's nothing. I take it, you're prepared for what's to come?" The teen paused thinking over the heros question as he replied. "Not at all. I'm wondering why the heck I gotta be executed. But I can't leave this guy alone. So I'll eat the rest of Sukuna, that's all." The teen thought back to his mother's troublesome last request "when it's your time to go, make sure you're surrounded by others," before adding. "I already know how I'm gonna go out."
The hero instantly brightened showing a big smile. "Good stuff! You're really growing on me kid." The hero began to get up from the bench as he continued. "Looks like this is shaping up to be a fun hell. Get your belongings together by the end of the day." Midoriya became confused at this. "We goin' somewhere?"
"You can't exactly afford to keep your house right now." A familiar gruff voice spoke up from behind the teen causing him to spin around. "Eraser Head! You're looking good!" The teen gave the tired hero a thumbs up. Eraser Head sighed saying "Whatever," knowing he had a few bandages on his face. He then got to the topic at hand. "It'll be easier to look for the fingers under the guise of a hero student, so you'll go with one of us."
"Wait! You teach too!" Midoriya pointed a finger at the tired hero in shock. Gojo took the opportunity to speak up. "He teaches at U.A. and with the entrance exams in a week, take your pick." The blindfolded hero gave the teen a sly look. Midoriya brought a finger to his chin in thought. "Well U.A. is the best hero school out there, and I do have friends trying for there so..."
"Have you submitted to take the entrance exam?" The erasure hero quickly interjected. "Um, no. Is that a problem?" The teen questioned the hero. He responded with a deadpan face and said. "Submissions closed a month ago. I'm not giving you a free pass when others who cared did the correct process. Shouldn't you have gone over that in school." The hero looked more irritated than usual now.
"Well, I don't have a quirk and from the start everyone told me I couldn't be a hero. So I kinda stopped caring about becoming one a long time ago." The teen explained himself while rubbing the back of his head. Gojo took the chance to reintroduce himself in the conversation. "Well! At Shiketsu you don't have to worry about that!" He exclaimed fling his arm around the teens shoulder.
"With Shiketsu, it shown up and sign up. It's not as popular so there are less applicants. And the classes end up being way smaller to, so more room for individual growth." The hero ended his self advertisement with jazz hands. "Well that doesn't sound bad. And if it's the only other option the why not." The teen thought aloud for both heros to hear.
"Good! And you better give it your all cause if you fail the entrance exam, that's it!" Gojo exclaimed to cheerful for the meaning of the words. "Wait! You mean if I fail I'll get executed right away!" Midoriya worridly shouted.
Notes:
Woo! Slightly breaking away now. Like i said previosly this is my first attmept at anything like this so any feedback is appreciated.

Chapter Text
Walking up the last few steps onto the campus of Shiketsu High School, one of the top hero schools in the country, Midoriya took in the sight. "Wow! But why's it in the mountains? Wouldn't it be better for heroes to be close to a city?" The teen asked turning to Gojo next to him.
"It's safer for the student's having the campus more isolated. Plus, students won't have to deal with annoying press when entering campus. And the city won't miss a few heroes, they don't regularly patrol anyway." The hero explained while leading the way through the campus. The green headed teen then spoke up again. "About heroes, right? You said you we like 'crazy strong' but how come I've never heard of you?" The teen asked, throwing up air quotes.
The hero smirked. "Thought you didn't care for heroes that much?" The teen was quick to correct the hero however. "Just cause I thought I couldn't be a hero doesn't mean I don't like them! I keep up with the rankings and stuff. And I also got some poster's as well. So how come I've-." The teen was cut off by the hero who shouted out with incredible over exaggeration. "Okay! I get it! Anyway just cause I'm strong doesn't mean I'm popular. I usually stay out of the spotlight for the sake of it making everything easier. I get payed all the same after all." Midoriya stopped walking to surprised at the answer, thinking about how for certain people that could be a great move, before quickly catching back up to the hero.
The pro hero then decided to speak up again. "Our Entrance Exam is split into three sections. The first being a written test. The second being an interview with a faculty member, could be a teacher or the principal so be on your 'A' game. And the third is a practical test." The hero explained holding up a finger for each number in the process. "Wait, the principal. Sorry about this, but your just a teacher right? You made yourself out to be really important." The teen though out loud sending an accusatory look towards Gojo.
"I'm plenty important!" The hero responded looking at the teen. Midoriya felt that if he could see the hero's eyes, he would've winked before turning back around.
"What a disappointment. I thought you were a leader." A voice came from Midoriya. "A hierarchy not based purely on strength is boring if you ask me." The voice of Sukuna spoke from a second mouth on Midoriya's cheek. Quickly slapping a hand over the mouth the teen began to apologize. "Sorry sir. That's been happening a bit." The hero however took interest noting. "What an interesting body you have now."
"I owe you a debt, after all." The voice of Sukuna spoke up again this time from the hand of the teenager that was where the mouth originally appeared. "Not again!" Midoriya cried out in annoyance. "When I make this kid's body mine, you'll be the first one I kill!" Sukuna threatened the blindfolded hero from the teen's hand.
"Me, a target of the great Sukuna? What an honor!" The hero spoke with a smirk. "What! Don't tell me he is famous too and I e never heard of him!" The teen seemed to deflate as exasperation was written on his face.
The hero eased the teens mind, saying. "Only to heroes trusted by the commission, they tried to sweep him under the rug. Ryomen Sukuna, with four arms and two faces is a demon of lore. But the truth is, he was a human that actually existed. Although over a hundred years ago around the start of hero society, the heroes managed to defeat him. And with the title Ryomen Sukuna he would traverse the ages after his death as a quirked object. Us heroes never figured out how he did it, what his quirk was, or how to destroy his preserved remains... but without a doubt, he is the true Demon King." The hero ended the explanation emphasizing the importance of the body swapper.
The way the hero hyped up the evil soul in his body got Midoriya thinking. "Is he stronger than you sir?" Gojo put both hands in his pockets before speaking. I'm not that old and not your teacher yet so just call me 'Gojo'. But, hm... good question. If Sukuna were to regain all his power it would be a little tough." The hero ended leaving his answer relatively open. "Would you lose?" The teen pushed for a better answer. "Nah, I'd win." The hero said before stopping in front of some doors.
Raising a hand to point at the doors the hero explained. "Go through there and follow the signs to the written test... also if anyone asks about your quirk, say its something to do with your eyes. Ya got 4 technically." Gojo explained giving the Midoriya a smile.
"Gojo." The teen spoke up while looking down, causing the hero to hum in question. "Thank you for giving me this chance... I really appreciate it." Midoriya ended giving the hero a big smile to show his gratitude. "No problem kid..."
-
Midoriya found the lecture hall for the written test with relative ease thanks to the signs. As he sat down he took a look around taking in the other applicants, there were roughly 50 kids in the room causing Izuku to think. "I know he said classes were smaller but doesn't U.A. have like thousands of applicants?" The teen thought to himself as the test and pencils began to be passed out to the teenagers.
Izuku would say he was above average in intelligence, but he was definitely not a genius. He never had to try too hard to maintain good grades, people only ever called him a nerd for taking an interest in heroes. That being said the written test felt like your average standardized test a d Izuku felt confident he did good, like around the "A-" to "B+" range.
Listening to the given instructions, Izuku made his way to his given waiting room. He was sat in there with 4 other kids, non of them wanting to strike up conversation. "Gojo said this was an interview right? And it could be with the principal! These other kids must be prepping something in their heads." Midoriya thought as the first applicant was called in.
-
As the third applicant exited the room, Izuku watch them return back to their seat. Once they sat down Izuku directed his gaze towards the floor folding his finger together and bouncing his leg. "Why is this making me so nervous?" Midoriya thought to himself. "I don't know maybe because if you fail you will die!" The teen played devil's advocate in his head.
"Midoriya, at this time please enter the room." A voice came over a speaker the same as it had for the others. With that Izuku stood up walking to the door. He took a deep breath before open the door walking through and closing it behind him.
Inside the small room there was an office desk with some files layes out on it, close to Izuku was a regular chair. On the other side of the desk was a typical office chair, however it was occupied by a hero Izuku recognized. The seafoam green hair gave their identity away instantly for the teen, it was the smile hero, Ms. Joke!
Izuku stood there for a couple seconds before he decided to speak up. "Uh. I'm Izuku Midoriya. It's nice to meet you..." The teen added a small bow at the end to seem as formal as possible in his hoodie and shorts.
The smile hero let out a chuckle as she said. "Heyo! We both have green hair. Ain't that neat!" Adding a smile to her words seemed natural for her. "Take a seat, why don't ya." She remained cheerful as Izuku responded with his nerves evident in his voice. "Right!" He then clumsy threw himself into his chair.
"So, why are you here?" The hero began with the vague question. "Uh like at the school or this room specifically?" Midoriya deadpanned. "Cause right now I'm here for an interview. But I guess, I'm here to be a hero." The smile hero raised an eyebrow at the teens remark. "You guess? Well I meant here at Shiketsu specifically." Midoriya now became slightly confused. "Then... um... yeah, to become a hero."
"Beyond that. Why do you wanna become a hero and what after you become one?" This made Midoriya pause for a moment. "This all kinda sprung up on me recently, and Shiketsu is the best school that you don't have to apply for before the day of the exam." The hero gave him a look that told him he should keep talking. With the smile never leaving her face, Izuku didn't know whether to be scared or reassured. "And um. The last request of my mom was to help people, so no easier way to donthat than becoming a hero right." The teen told a half truth to try and convince the hero.
"Easy huh?" The hero question with the still conflicting smile. "Being a hero is a tough job. They take all the bad press when things go wrong and are faced with more terrible situations than any other work force. There is easier ways to help people." Midoriya sighed at that. "I'm not really concerned on the details I just wanna help people." The hero's face became serious while keeping a small smile. "If you want to help people then why not become a cop or join the fire department? Those jobs are under-staffed compared to heroes. And all just for a last request" The hero asked proding for a specific answer.
Midoriya was about to shout out and defend himself when he realized he didn't like how this conversation was going. He felt like he had been through this conversation all his life, with people always telling him to pursue a different career. "Heroes die on the field more often than off it. Are you gonna blame your mother when you die on the field becauseof that request?" The hero was still trying to get certain words out of kid. But these words made Midoriya stop.
"I've always been strong and good at fighting. But everyone around me told me I was nothing special. But now I've realized I am special, and there are things that only I can do to help people. And I might not be able to face it all with a smile. But even if I could run away from it all and live a normal life, by sitting back and watch other heroes. And when people die, it'll be there because I didn't do something about it. I didn't help everyone I could've, I would only ever regret my actions. I can't say what I'll be thinking when I die but, I wanna save the people that only I can and live without regret!" Izuku stared at the hero as he spoke from his heart, finding purpose to be a hero again for the first time in nearly 10 years.
The hero's face settled back into a friendly smile as she spoke. "Alright, you can leave now. That'll be all!" Midoriya's face went blank. "Huh?" Was all that came out his mouth as he thought. ""That's it!"
-
After the final applicant had finished their interview, all the teenagers were ushered back to the previous lecture hall where they took the written exam. Once the teens were seated the lights dimmed and a giant screen lit up, explaining how the test would proceed. "Each of you will a letter with your name on it upon leaving the room. The letter will tell you which site you go to for the third and final portion of this exam, the practical! At each site we will be testing two students, so make sure you cooperate. And, without further ado, get going." A voice explained over a speaker as a cartoonish slideshow played to match the voice.
The process of exiting the hall and recieving his letter was slow, but once he had it Midoriya separated himself from the crowd and opened his letter. "Site 17... Huh okay." Midoriya read off his card as he looked up down a hall that had a sign at the top that read "Exam Cites".
The hall stretched on for a while as doors were not close together. The closest the doors were, was being on opposite sides of the hall. Otherwise the doors were further apart than any school he'd scene. Which would make sense. "This is a top hero school after all." Izuku remarked out loud as a group of students ran past him futher down the hall.
Reaching his destination he stared at the steel door that had a large golden "17" on it. As he reached for the door planning to open it, he heard a voice directed at him. "Hey Greenie! You at '17' too." Looking back down the hall Izuku saw a girl walking up to him. "Huh? Yeah I am." Izuku replied to the girl. She had wavy, dark purple, hair that framed her face and was pulled back into a long ponytail. Her eyes were a lavender color and she was wear black sweatpants with purple lines down the sides and a grey graphic tee.
"Welp. I'm Akari Murasaki, nice to meet ya." She introduced herself with a smile. "You too, I'm Izuku Midoriya." Both teens stood in an temporary awkward silence before Midoriya spoke up. "Should we head in now?" He asked pointing a thumb over his shoulder towards the door. "Yeah. Let's do that." Midoriya's partner for the practical responded.
Behind the door was a giant empty room akin to a gym. In the center of the room was a small supermarket with a foldable table a few feet infront. "How'd they get a supermarket in a gym?" Midoriya thought aloud. "No clue..." Murasaki responded as both teens walked towards the table. On the table sat two communicators and a radio and as the to got close, the radio began to produce static. The static turned to a voice as the teens payed close attention. "Any heroes please respond. We have a hostage situation at the supermarket! Suspect is armed and dangerous. Reports had cleared it to only be one target and their quirk has been boosted via a support item. Solve the issue with no casualties in the best way you deem fit." A seemingly pre-recorded message played over the radio before dead silence followed.
In the silence Murasaki spoke up. "So, hostage situation... Great." She said with a dry tone before she continued. "Well we should get to strategizing then!" She exclaimed with emotion returning to her voice. "Yeah, so what your quirk?" Midoriya asked, beginning to form a strategy.
"What? You can't tell just from looking at me?" Murasaki sarcastically commented. "Uhh..." Midoriya was unsure of what to say, the sarcasm going over his head. Murasaki let out a giggle before speaking again. "I kid! Your face was hilarious! Anyway, my quirk is called 'Wormhole'. I can make up to three portals at a time, but I have to have seen the place I make the portal appear." She then demonstrated as a swirling circle of purple and pink appeared next to her. "Woah..." The green haired teen eyed the portal in awe. "Right now your turn." Murasaki spoke, turning the attention onto Midoriya.
"Uh... right..." The teen hesitated putting a hand to the bad of his head. Quickly needing an excuse he just repeated what Gojo told him earlier. "It involves my eyes."
The purple haired girl seemed unimpressed by this and responded by crossing her arms. "You think I'm gonna make fun of you or something. I can tell it involves your eyes. Is it just that you have four eyes or something?" Midoriya found her question as the perfect scapegoat and responded. "Yeah... that's it, but I think I got a plan I just need you to trust me."
-
"Why has this supermarket gotta feel so damn scary?" Murasaki asked to no one in particular as she walked down an aisle of the abandoned looking store. Hearing a sound towards the back she quickly looked that way and slowly made her way to the end of the aisle. Waking her way further back into the store Murasaki made sure to tread with cation, as the sound hadn't stopped. After confirming that the source of the noise that sounded a lot like crying was from the employee break room, she took out her communication device turning it on.
"The hostage is in the very back, in a break room. I think I can hear two people in there. Let me know when your in position." The purple haired teen quietly spoke into the device. Silence followed as she wondered if she didn't turn the thing on as Midoriya's voice broke the silence. "Okay. I'm in position... I think. Continue with the plan." He mumbled a part in the middle making Murasaki unable to make out what he said. "Alright. So on my signal?" She asked to confirm the plan. "Yup I should be bale to hear you."
Murasaki barged into the room to be met with two robots. "Huh?" She stood there confused as both robots looked at the teen. "Hero! Surrender yourself and your money! Or else this worker gets it!" The taller of the two robots exclaimed at it raised an arm that looked suspiciously like a gun towards the other bot. The criminal bot then backed into the wall bringing the civilian both with it.
"Okay. Just let the employee go." The girl responded backing up on what was going on. "You think I am foolish enough to fall for such simply tricks! I am The Great Aut-!" The bot was cut off by an arm breaking through the wall next to its head.
"Awe man, I missed." The voice of Midoriya came from the other side of the wall as his arm bent to grab the robots head. Pulling towards himself once he had a grip on the head of the bot, the rest of the wall gave way. "Now!" The green haired boy shouted towards his partner.
Snapping out of her shock Murasaki nodded in confirmation. "Right!" She stuck her arms out as a portal appeared under the civilian bot causing it to fall through and out of sight. "Hostage is safe!" She yelled towards her partner as she turned her attention back onto the criminal robot. Her eyes found the bot just as Midoriya delivered a punch to its head crushing the front end in causing the bot to collapse.
"And that's, that." Midoriya said while dusting off his hands. He then turned towards Murasaki and smiled. "Good job with the Civilian by the way." The girl paused. "Yeah... thanks." She eyed the giant hole in the wall as she calmly began. "So, if your quirk is just that you have four eyes..." she paused as she took in a breath. "Then what the heck have you been eating to be able to bust through a wall!" She yelled out arms waving to emphasize the hole inbetween them.
"It's not like it was reinforced." Midoriya put his arms up in defence. "That shouldn't matter!" The girl shouted again. "Well whatever I've just always been kinda strong." The green headed boy said with a slight shake of his head. "Pft, kinda. Well we should go check on the hostage out front." Murasaki said letting the topic of Midoriya's strength go.
"Yeah, that probably smart." Midoriya agreed stepping into the store to follow his teammate back to the front. After exiting the front of the store and confirming the robots condition the radio came to life. "Congratulations! You have completed the practical exam! You are now free to leave campus as your letter should arrive within the week." The radio then went dead again.
In the silence the two teens then looked at each other. "Well guess we're done." Murasaki broke the silence. "Yeah. I guess we just leave now." Midoriya added silently wondering hiw he was supposed to find Gojo as he was the teens ride. The two teens made there way out of the room and back to the main hall.
Looking down the hall he saw a familiar set of white hair and a blindfold peaking around a corner. "Well hey, I hope we see each other around." Midoriya said a goodbye to his teammate as she responded. "Yeah, it was fun." And with that the two split off with one leaving the school and the other walking down a hallway.

Chapter Text
“So what now?” Midoriya asked Gojo while following him out of the building. After meeting up with Gojo after his exam, Gojo led Midoriya to a back exit of the school.
The blindfolded pro stopped in the middle of a pathway that stretched farther in front of him. Midoriya couldn’t make out anything ahead past the trees and the hero, who was turning around to face the green haired boy.
“Well…” the hero began with a playful laugh on the edge of his lips. “I got waaay more pull her than I do at the commission. Not saying I will guarantee you a spot, but I did make them hurry up the evaluation.” While saying this the hero pulled an envelope out of his pocket holding it out for Midoriya to see. As Midoriya reached for the envelope, Gojo pulled it back lifting it out of reach of the boy in the process.
“Unless you actually want to wait a week like everyone else. Ooo the suspense would kill me!” The hero laughed as the teen before him huffed in annoyance.
“Can I please have the letter now? I’d like to know if I’m dying now or later.” Midoriya said while holding his hand out to the hero. Gojo handed the letter back over as he said “Yeah I get it”. The green haired teen moved in a blur the grab the envelope and rip it open muttering a quick “thanks” the hero.
Gojo laughed at the boy as he found the kid’s newfound enthusiasm entertaining. However the kid’s enthusiasm died once he opened the letter reading it slowly as to not miss anything. Gojo watched as Midoriya’s eyes ran over each line until the kid muttered out “Oh thank God”.
“Well since you’re now an official student of Shiketsu High, and because you got no where to stay, how ‘bout we head to the dorms.” The hero jokingly squeezed the middle of the sentence in as he talked to his new student. “Got all your stuff on you right?”
“Yup. Let’s go.” Midoriya responded while jostling his backpack to emphasize his point.
-
“You sure that’s everything?” Gojo asked looking around the room.
“Yeah, that’s it.” Midoriya responded holding his arms out for emphasis. All he had added to the room was a picture of him and his mother, her urn, and 3 hero posters. “Everything else I brought was like clothes and stuff.”
“Izuku, you don’t have to go and hunt for the fingers y’know.” Gojo leaned against the doorframe as he made the conversation serious. “You can have me and the other heroes go and look for them while you enjoy your school days.”
“No, I said I’d do it didn’t I.” Midoriya responded and then continuing under his breath. “Jeez man, stop making me think twice about it.” The teen breathed out a sigh before speaking up again. “I’d feel really bad if I was just chilling in my bed and Eraser Head showed up all beat up handing me a finger.”
“Nah, that’d be hilarious.” Gojo responded with a chuckle. “But, to be honest there’s no way you ain’t fighting.”
“Hey! Wait was that some kind of test. Man I just passed one of those.” The teen responded with each sentence being more deflated than the last.
“If the fingers were that easy to find we would’ve found them already.” The hero began to explain as he stepped into the room towards Midoriya. “Some have a large and overwhelming presence others hide themselves or have been eaten my villains… In regards to searching for something, this is gonna be a pain.” Gojo’s mood lightened as he pointed at his new student. “But now we have you. In order to regain its power, the Sukuna you consumed will direct you to the whereabouts of the other fingers. You’re a vessel as well as a radar, we’re gonna need you on the field.”
Both Student and Teacher began to walk towards the door. “I don’t think the guy in my head’s that considerate.” Midoriya spoke up sadly while pointing to his forehead.
“I think he’ll consider it a win-win situation.” Gojo explained which confused Midoriya. “Right, well I’ll see ya around kid. If you need me ‘cause you set the place on fire or something, I’ll be in the building on the other side of the path.” The teacher waved as he spun around leaving towards the exit of the dormitory.
“Thanks Gojo!” Midoriya shouted into the hall after he has seen him leave, earning a small chuckle from the hero, before he left the building.
“Now what?” The teen thought out loud as he sat alone in the rather larger building. “I guess I should make myself at home…”
-
Midoriya sat himself down at a table in the living room of the dormitory with two egg sandwiches on a plated seated in front of him. Right as he took the first bite he heard someone enter the building. Leaning back in his chair to get a view of the door he spotted the new arrival. It a was a boy the looked to be the same age as him, with black spiky hair and dark blue eyes. As he walked into the living room the new boy made eye contact with Midoriya causing them both to pause.
“… You get here and the first thing you do is… make yourself food?” The unfamiliar teen spoke up. Midoriya mentally remembered today was the first day of classes, so people would be showing up.
To avoid making it seem like he had gotten special treatment and been there for a few days, Midoriya went along with what his new dark haired classmate said. “Uh… yeah, want some?” Izuku asked in an attempt to be friendly while holding the second untouched sandwich out to the other boy.
“… Sure. Why not.” The boy grabbed the sandwich and took a bite, nodding at the taste. After finishing the bite he spoke up again. “Thanks, uh..?”
“Izuku Midoriya, and it’s not problem.” Midoriya responded to the boy before deciding he should ask the boys name. “Anyway, and you are?”
“Akio Meguro…” the boy introduced himself with a nod. “… So how does the dorm situation work? I thought a faculty member or teacher would be here to explain it.” Midoriya brightened up at his new classmates question, quickly scarfing down the rest of his breakfast before answering.
“Ah right, one of them was by earlier. Our teacher, I think?” Midoriya said in an attempt to make it seem like he was new to the situation as well. “Anyway, he said boys pick one of the five rooms on the left and girls pick one of the five on the right.”
Meguro turned around looking down the hallway the had the bedrooms. “Our left, right?”
“Right. Wait! Correct, our left.” Midoriya quickly corrected himself to avoid confusion. “I’m the closest to the door outside, so all the way down the hall.” Meguro gave another nod in response before beginning to walk down the hall. “Need any help unpacking?”
“Nah, I think I’ll be fine. Thanks.” The new arrival said before turning and walking towards the door next to the one Midoriya said belonged to him and grabbing the knob. The front door opened again revealing two more new arrivals. One was a tall and thinner boy with brown eyes who had, Palm tree leaves? As hair, with one large leaf in the back like a ponytail. The other was a girl with long light blue hair and eyes. The girl waved as the boy gave a concerned expression towards Midoriya.
Midoriya waved back to the girl as the boy spoke up. “Why aren’t you in your uniform?” He asked with a stern expression. The question caught Midoriya off guard as he realized both newcomers were in their uniforms, and now that he looks, so was Meguro. Midoriya floundered for a moment longer before snapping out of it.
“Uhh we still have like an hour until class starts…” Midoriya weakly spoke as he did not like the sudden figurative spotlight put on him.
“What if it takes you an hour to get ready, or you get distracted, or something comes up? Why didn’t you just show up in your uniform?” The new boy questioned even further. As the four stood awkwardly in the hallway the door opened yet again.
A larger man walked in, Midoriya would’ve thought them to be faculty if it weren’t for their uniform. Midoriya also took this moment to note that everyone else had brought way more stuff than him.
“Hello new classmates! Let’s make this a great class!” The boy shouted as he bowed down so low he was slamming his head into the ground. As he stood back up he gained a serious expression. “I am Inasa Yoarashi, and I have a very important question for you-“
The door was flung open yet again as a familiar girl with purple hair walked in. “Yo wassup. Hey Greenie you made it too! That’s cool.” Upon seeing someone he recognized Midoriya’s face brightened as he wave greeting back. “Hey Murasaki, glad you made it in.”
“Well looks like everyone is here.” Midoriya nearly got whiplash from how quickly he turned around upon hearing a voice behind him. He settled down once realizing it was Gojo, but then began questioning how he got in the building. Coming to the conclusion the there must be a back door he tuned back in to what his new teacher was saying.
“So that explains the dorm situation, I’ll let you guy get situated then we can head to class.” Gojo ended with an enthusiastic smile and two thumbs up.
As everyone began to walk towards different rooms to pick, Midoriya walked towards his thinking about how the palm tree guy got on his case for nothing. He had time to change while they all settled into their rooms.
-
Throwing on the hat that matched the rest of his uniform, Midoriya looked himself over in his mirror. He wasn’t sure if he had to hear the hat or not but he was, not like it’s be hard to take off.
As he walked back into the hallway he noted that the only student out of their room yet was Meguro, who was waiting by Gojo. Midoriya walked over towards the two as he waited in silence for the rest of his class.
“You guys sure get ready fast, that’s good. It’ll be an important skill.” Gojo broke the silence flashing his two students a smile. Both teens awkwardly smiled back and muttered out a weak “thanks”.
They quickly fell back into silence aw the wait continued. They waited for about ten minutes as the rest of the class had finished setting up their rooms. Now that all of them were gathered in the hallway around their new teacher, he spoke up.
“Now that everyone’s ready let’s get this show on the road. Follow me!” Gojo cheered while moving his hands in a circle ending with him pointing at the front door. He walked past the students towards the door and they all quickly fell into line. Although, some students did share questioning glances with each other. They walked out onto the path then into the main building. Izuku notes how they seemed like ducklings following their mother, the mental image made him chuckle.
As they walked into a classroom on the second floor, Gojo turned around to face his new students. “We’re here! Pick your seat and we’ll get started.” The hero explained as he pointed to nine chairs arranged in rows of three in the middle of the room. Midoriya took the room in, he made the realization that it was a normal classroom. Not sure why he expected anything different he walked to the middle chair, and sat down. Others followed suit with Murasaki sitting to his left and Meguro on his right. The palm tree boy sat in the seat in front of Meguro as the blue haired girl sat in front of Murasaki. The larger one who was named Yoarashi sat in the back row behind Meguro. As everyone set their backpacks down and got settled into their seats Gojo stood up by the board.
“Right, so I’m your teacher for your first year at Shiketsu!” The hero added a little clap at the end. “How ‘bout we start with introductions. I am Satoru Gojo, I’m a pro hero, and my quirk is too complex for you all to understand.” He waved his hand as if to wave away his last statement. His hand then fell to the palm tree boy. “You go first. Introduce yourself!”
The palm tree boy stood up and nearly shouted. “I am Natsuki Nishikawa, and my quirk is ‘Palm Tree’”. As the boy explained Midoriya thought the name was a little on the nose, but most quirks were. “I can produce bark across my body and extend the size of the leaves on my head. I can adjust the density and hardness of each.” The boy now dubbed Nishikawa then bowed and sat down. Gojo then turned to look at the blue haired girl in the front row.
She slowly stood up and introduced herself. “I’m, I am Yuuki Umi, and my quirk is ‘Bubble Bomb’” she stood there for a second then continued with a shrug. “It’s kinda self explanatory. I can blow bubble and some explode when popped.” She then sat down. Gojo used his finger to trace an “S” shape over the students as his finger landed on Murasaki. “Next!”
“Name’s Akari Murasaki, and my quirk lets me open up to three portals at a time in places I’ve seen. It’s called ‘Wormhole.’” She made her explanation quick as she sat back down. Midoriya realized it was his turn as Gojo smiled at him, so he stood up to introduce himself.
“Uh. My name is Izuku Midoriya. My quirk increases by peripheral vision so that I can nearly see behind me when I open my second set of eyes…” The green haired bow looked towards Gojo who gave a slight nod of approval, causing Midoriya to sit back down. As he sat down Meguro stood for his introduction.
“I am Akio Meguro, and my quirks name is ‘Shadow Puppet.’ I can bend shadows to create creatures to help me.” After offering the small explanation he sat back down, leaving one student left. “And then there was one.” Gojo said with a chuckle.
The boy stood up with force and shouted out his introduction. “I am Inasa Yoarashi! and my quirk is ‘Whirlwind.’ I can create very strong gusts of wind!” The boy sat down with a massive thump as the room fell into silence. Midoriya thought to himself how if the Yoarashi couldn’t do what he said he would’ve needed a different name for his quirk, but he feels like there is more to it.
“Alright with that out of the way, we are supposed to go to orientation. But, that’s boring! So, who wants to do something fun?” Gojo asked his students giving them a sly smile.
-
Gojo brought the students out to an on campus facility that looked like a large warehouse. “Alright, we’re here!” The teacher threw his arms towards the building to make it seem special. This caused some of the students to think of their new teacher as childish, while Midoriya stared in awe.
“What is it?” Midoriya asked with excitement. “Just a normal warehouse…” the silence that followed killed all of Midoriya’s excitement as he realized it was a normal building. “Well here’s how we’re gonna do this. You guys are gonna play tag!” The hero shouted trying to bring back the excitement that had left at his previous statement.
“Sensei shouldn’t we changed out of our uniforms then?” Nishikawa spoke up, but Gojo just waved him off claiming that “You’ll be fine.”
“So all of you will go in except one, you guys’ll get like thirty seconds before the stagger comes after you. Once you have been tagged you are out! So exit the build and come back here.” The hero explained moving his arms for emphasis. “Oh, one more thing. You guys can use your quirks.”
-
Midoriya was running through the well lit halls of the warehouse as he quickly turned a corner. Upon turning the corner he ran straight into his classmate Meguro, causing both to tumble to the ground. Both student quickly got up and into fighting positions before taking in the appearance of the person they ran into. Both then simultaneously let out a sigh of relief.
“I guess we both should be more careful.” Meguro spoke up. As both of them relaxed slightly the boy with darker hair shook his head. “Running into you is like running into a brick wall.” The boy added as he rubbed his head.
“Sorry bout that.” The green boy awkwardly apologized putting a hand to the back of his head. “Well hey, how ‘bout we stick together? We can formulate some kind of plan.” Midoriya proposed the idea hoping to get his new classmate on board.
“Sure why not.”
“Great!” Midoriya cheered as his classmate agreed. “So what can you make with your quirk?” The green haired boy asked as he shifted into strategy mode.
“The room is kinda bright, so at most I can make some rabbits or large frogs.” The blue eyed boy responded as he pointed to the lights hanging from the ceiling.
“So if they were gone?”
“Yeah…”
-
Nishikawa was climbing the stairs to the third floor. He had been selected as the one who was “it” and had already gotten out his classmate Umi. The other four were nowhere to be found. He turned a corner and saw Midoriya standing in the hallway alone and looking the other way.
Midoriya spun around at the footsteps and narrowly dodged a hand reaching out to tag him. Midoriya jump up onto the lights that were hanging from the ceiling to get out of reach of the tagger. In response Nishikawa held his hand out and sent bark flying at the green haired boy. Midoriya used the light as protection and the bark hit the bulb causing the light to go out.
Midoriya jumped to the next light as Nishikawa’s onslaught of bark continued. Midoriya repeated the process until the fourth light where he instantly kicked off with too much force causing the light to fall and brake on the floor.
Upon landing on the fifth and final light in the hallway he turned back to see his leaf haired classmate grow a leaf out of his hair and ready it like a frisbee. The boy threw the leaf and it soared straight for Midoriya’s head. The green haired boy ducked out of the way last second, but the leaf cut straight through the cords holding the light up. Midoriya fell to the ground and got buck up with a roll. He quickly turned around and began to run.
Nishikawa gave chase, but as Midoriya rounded the corner at the end of the hallway the palm tree boy heard Midoriya whisper something. And suddenly along the wall at the hallway’s end a giant black snake appeared and began charging at the tagger with its mouth wide open. The snake moved too fast to out run so Nishikawa quickly made a shield out of his hair just in time as the snake reached him.
“That was awesome!” Midoriya said to his dark haired ally who nodded in response as the duo turned and ran towards the stairs.
“You are surprisingly agile for a quirk that relates to sight.” Midoriya grew awkward at the compliment, brushing it aside with a quick “thanks”.
“We should probably go down as he will likely keep going up. At least that’s what I’d do.” Midoriya shared his thoughts with his teammate.
“Yeah that’s smart. We have to think of another strategy as I doubt that will work again.” Meguro explained as they began jogging down a floor.
“Right. Y’know, it’s a good thing Gojo Sensei said not to worry about property damage. Because I have a feeling that stunt we pulled would cost a lot.” Midoriya said while thinking back to right before they entered the building and the blindfolded hero told them to “Go crazy and don’t worry about damage.”
“Yeah, so what should we do now?” The duo stopped to re-strategize. As they were think the ceiling about them collapsed and down came Nishikawa. The tree boy landed between his two classmates tagging them both on their shoulder as they stared up in shock.
“Dammit…” both muttered at the same time.
-
The duo rejoined their teacher and classmate outside with defeated expressions.
“Ooo, did you guys get out played?” Their teacher antagonized the two as Meguro grumbled and Midoriya said “I don’t wanna talk about it.”
“It’s okay, I saw the whole thing!” Gojo exclaimed while holding up his phone. This drew the attention of the three students as they tried to huddle around their teacher and watch what was going on through his phone.
-
The exercise ended with everyone but Murasaki being tagged as she hyped herself up all the way back to their classroom.
Once they arrived back at their class, Gojo said. “You guys don’t gotta sit down, thats it for today. Go get lunch or something then head back to the dorms. Tomorrow is when classes actually start.” The hero ended with an evil sounds chuckle. This caused some of the students to sweat and worry as they left for the cafeteria
Notes:
I’m back! I waited so long I had to reread the previous chapters. I’ll try and not take months in between updates from now on.
Yay. The rest of the class. So obviously Meguro is based off of Fushiguro, but I didn’t want to straight up bring him in as I didn’t want to try and explain 10 shadows. As well as other reasons.
While rereading the previous chapters I noticed a bunch of typos and stuff so maybe I’ll try and go back to fix that…
Chapter Text
In an abandoned bar within Kamino Ward. A young man with pale blue hair and dry skin who is also strangely covered in severed hands sits on a barstool. Over the counter there is a man made of purple mist with a striking yellow light in place of eyes. Both men have their attention directed at a tv mounted on the wall. The black screen of the tv drawing their full attention.
“Tomura, have you prepared appropriately?” A menacing voice spoke from the tv.
“Yes, master. I’ve gathered a bunch of nobodies for the assault.” The man covered in hands responded.
The voice from the tv returned. “You know the location as well?” The question caused the pale haired man to huff in irritation. “Yes. U.A.’s USJ, got that thanks to your mole.” The man answered back to his master.
“We just need the Nomu and we are good to go.” The man spoke through the hand covering his face.
“That’s good. Although, I am going to change your plans slightly.” The voice from the tv gave the information to the shock of the one named Tomura.
“What? Why?” Tomura asked as he didn’t want his perfect plan to be ruined.
“I know where Sukuna’s Vessel will be at the time of the attack. So you are going to send a small portion of your men there.” The evil voice coldly explained the new plan.
Tomura shot up from the stool. “What! How!? Anyway, a couple of nobodies won’t be able to take on Sukuna. Even if he is at one finger, none of them stand a chance.” The man shouted out as this was a drastic change to his plan.
“Tomura Shigaraki.” Upon hearing his full name the pale haired man sat back down and listened. “It seems that the commission is afraid of the danger Sukuna’s Vessel presents. But I will give you a half breed to deal with him. It’s weaker than All Might but should still get the desired result.” The voice of Shigaraki’s master explained through the tv speaker.
“So, what are you trying to get out of attacking Sukuna’s Vessel?” Shigaraki questioned his master.
“For Sukuna to regain some of his power…”

The first week of classes went by without much of a problem for Midoriya. They hadn’t gotten into anything that revolved around quirk training yet, so hero training hadn’t been difficult. Even though in the first week there was no hands on practice Midoriya was excited to get started. It felt strange to him because he hadn’t felt this excited for anything in a very long time. Izuku didn’t think anything could ruin his mood as he walked into his classroom to start his second week.
“Right I won’t be here tomorrow.” Gojo opened class with the devastating statement. This caused an uproar in class as some shouted. Midoriya pouted and laid his head on his desk. As many questions were hurled at the hero the only one he chose to answer right away was “why?”
“The Hero Commission called me to their HQ for a special mission or something, I’m not sure I’ll get specifics tomorrow.” The glass let out a collective groan, thinking they would have to wait longer to actually start training. “Relax you guys still start practical hero training tomorrow. You’ll all be going to an off campus facility for water rescue. It’s not owned by Shiketsu so I’m supposed to tell you all to be on your best behavior.” He attempted to add flair at via jazz hands at the mention of water rescue. The statement caused many students to brighten up although some brightened up at the prospect of not being taught by Gojo.
“Alright class, let’s get on with today’s lesson!” The hero clapped to get the attention of his students back into class and not the future.
-
At a small square table that housed four chairs, three of which were occupied by students who were having lunch and discussing the day’s events.
“So you guys think we’ll have a sub or something?” Murasaki asked the boys across the table. Meguro was the first of the two to respond. “Obviously, they aren’t gonna send us alone. How would we learn?”
“That’s not what I meant!” Murasaki yelled back at her classmate, before taking a deep breath to calm herself down. “I mean you think we’ll have another hero teach us or something?”
“I’m pretty sure this school only has three teachers that are heroes, so there’s one for each year.” Midoriya spoke up relaying knowledge he had gotten from Gojo. “It’ll probably be a normal teacher that’ll supervise us.”
“That’s lame…” Murasaki looked to the side pouting.
“At least we’ll actually get to do something instead of studying hero training.” Meguro countered with a shrug. In response Murasaki dramatically clicked her tongue.
“Well duh, but I want to be taught my some cool. Like didn’t you guys hear about All Might teaching at U.A.! Uhg!” She threw her head back while letting out an exasperated groan.
“Well Gojo did mention the place we’re going isn’t owned by Shiketsu. So, maybe it’s owned by a hero?” Midoriya said in hope. This only cause Meguro to sigh and Murasaki to mutter out “I hope…”
-
“Alright! I was gonna wait to do this tomorrow, but since I won’t be here… We’re doing it today!” Gojo exclaimed to his class leaving them all confused. “One of the most important part of being a hero for some, is making sure you look good while saving lives.” The blindfolded hero brought out six small suitcases from under his desk laying them out for the students to see.
“Each suitcase has one of your names on it. Inside is your hero outfits based on the designs you submitted when you applied.” He explained as he showed off the suitcases. “You can try these on now or wait until tomorrow. Class dismissed!” The hero ended with a clap.
All the students rushed up to the front desk to claim their suitcase except one. Everyone had quickly run out of the room to try on their hero costumes except Midoriya.
“Uh Gojo Sensei?” The green headed boy asked. Gojo looked at Midoriya a then to the suitcase with the kids name on it. He then looked back to his green haired student and quirked an eyebrow. “I never put it a costume design…” Understand the kids confusion Gojo let out a long “oooh.”
“Yeah don’t worry Izuku. I took care of it.” The hero smiled at his student as he perked up.
“Really? Thank you!” The teen grabbed the suitcase and began walking out of the room. He turned around at the door smiling to his teacher as he said. “See later then!” He quickly waved before running towards the locker room. Gojo just chuckled at the kids antics.
-
As Midoriya walked into the locker room the other boys were already dressed in their hero costumes. Meguro noticed him enter and asked “Everything alright?”
Midoriya was quick to shut down any concern. “Yeah just had to ask Gojo a question.” He waved off taking in Meguro’s hero costume.
His dark haired classmate’s hero outfit consisted of black boots and baggy white pants tied at the top with a black belt. Tucked into the pants he had a black long sleeve shirt with white cuffs. To top it all off he had a necklace that had a Yin and Yang around his neck.
Meguro nodded in understanding as Midoriya spoke up again. “Nice outfit. It suits you.” The compliment sparked a quick “Thanks” out of his blue eyed friend.
Midoriya took the opportunity as he walked over to his own spot to inspect his other classmates designs. Yoarashi’s costume seemed like a complicated dark red mess of straps and tubes with one really big glove, but it had a cool cape.
His other classmate Nishikawa, however had a simpler design. He had combat boots on with green camouflage pants. For the shirt he had a grey compression shirt with what looked like wooden armor guard typical armor spots such as chest and shoulder.
Setting his suitcase down on a bench he took a breath in and opened it immediately he was greeted by a pair of green shoes that had special laces to avoid coming undone. Lifting them out he saw what looked like his uniform. He picked it up realizing it was a more loose version of his uniform with green accents instead of orange. Plus it had a hoodie that went underneath. The outfit didn’t scream hero like the others, but it did remind him of Gojo. So Midoriya was okay with it.
-
All the students were ushered into a bus by a teacher that covered a small subject. Midoriya could tell because to man was wearing a nice dress shirt and pants, he had combed down black hair but otherwise looked unimportant.
Sitting down in the bus Midoriya saw the hero costumes of his other two classmates. Murasaki’s costume had purple gloves and boots that went up to her elbows and knees respectively. She wore a black sleeveless suit and she had a purple cape that went halfway down her back. The whole outfit was accompanied by white accents.
Looking over to Umi she had what looked like fluffs of cotton around her wrists and ankles as well as a scarf around her neck. The rest of her outfit was a jumpsuit that was light blue and with the darker blue dividing the top portion of the suit and close the ankles.
Midoriya picked a seat and sat down. Once everyone was seat their instructor made sure they knew they couldn’t get up during the ride and then they left.
The bus ride was long as conversations varied from their new hero costumes to what they believed they would be doing at the water rescue facility. Umi displaying the most hope for them to actually swim. Eventually Midoriya leaned his head against the window of the bus and used his time to doze off.
The stopping of the bus shook Midoriya awake. “Alright everyone. Let’s get off the bus.” Their instructor called out as everyone jumped up shaking out the last of their drowsiness.
Walking off the bus Midoriya took in the grey sky, making a mental note of the light rain. He turned to look at the complex to his left the giant series of buildings causing his mouth to fall open. Midoriya noticed a large sign on the front that read: “Orca Water Rescue Training”.
The sound of large approaching footsteps drew the attention of the students as they all look towards the approaching figure and see.
“Gang Orca!” A collective cheer came from the group of students. The rain began to pick up and the new Killer Whale hero took the opportunity to speak.
“We should head inside and then I’ll explain how this’ll go for you first years.” The Whale hero turned around walking towards the complex. All the students happily followed as the instructor sighed before following.
-
Walking in you were immediately met with the lobby with had large glass walls revealing a vast expanse of a variety of pools. The students gawked as Gang Orca talked messed with something at the front desk.
The whale hero finished clocking in the time and then began walking back to the group of students. Upon his approach he had instantly obtained the full attention of all the students.
“I’m sure you all saw the pools, so all of them are designed with different water based scenarios in mind. They range from flood zones to a survivor stranded in the ocean. Follow me to the first zone and we will begin your training.” The hero turned and began walking as the students quickly followed suit eager to learn.
The power cut out for a second causing everyone to faulter. Everyone’s attention turned towards the swirling sound coming from the front of the lobby. A small purple blob floating in the air slowly begins to grow.
“Uhh that’s not you is it Murasaki?” Midoriya asked as the purple mass began to rapidly expand cover the entirety of the entrance.
“No, my portals are a lighter purple…”
Suddenly people started to appear from the purple haze. There seemed to be roughly fifty men and they looked to be led by a monster. The monster had dark blue skin that looked swelled with black piercing eyes. The strange figure stood taller than Gang Orca as it stared down all of the students.
The portal suddenly vanished as Gang Orca stepped in front of the students. “What do you want?!” The hero yelled towards the intruders behind yelling to the students behind him. “Go run further into the complex and hide! If your lives are threatened use your quirks!” The hero quickly directed his attention back towards the intruders.
The strange figure raised a finger towards the hero. “Get out of the way!” The speech was so demonic that the students nearly fell over upon hearing it. The figure rushed towards the Pro Hero closing the gap in a second. The figure clashed with the whale hero who yelled back to the students “GO!” This served as an awakening for the students as they all broke off further into the complex.
-
Midoriya ran far into the complex. With most of the walls being glass he could see that some of the villains had chased after the students. Midoriya rounded a corner at came face to face with two villains. Moving quickly he threw a punch connecting with the face of one of the crooks as he ducked under an attack from the second. Without wasting time he delivered a devastating blow to the gut of the second villain causing him to keel over.
The first villain rose back to his feet using his quirk to fire some kind of projecting at the green boy. It narrowly missed as Midoriya closed the distance ending the scuffle with a swift kick to the head.
“I heard something down this way! Let’s check it out!” Midoriya heard unrecognizable yelling down the hall as it sounded like many people were running in his direction. Midoriya hid around a corner attempting to stay completely silent. Eventually the footsteps reached his location and he took note that there was at least ten of them.
“Damn they took out two of em. These guys must’ve been weak! Let’s go after em! This way!” One villain took charge as they all ran down the hall away from Midoriya. The boy let out a sigh of relief and then suddenly felt a hand on his shoulder.
“AAHH!” Midoriya screamed as he quickly spun around into a fighting stance. He eased his tension once he relaxed it was Murasaki who had touched him on the shoulder she looked like she was about to explode with laughter at Midoriya’s reaction. Behind Murasaki stood Meguro watching with a slight smile. “I hate you guys…” Midoriya muttered out.
“HAHA you should’ve seen yourself!” Murasaki burst out into laughter while pointing at Midoriya. She emphasized her point by mocking the boy’s reaction, scream and all. Midoriya held a finger up to his mouth.
“Shhh. There guys all over the place. We don’t want to attract any attention.” Midoriya tried to silence his purple haired classmate.
“He’s right. Maybe we can find a back exit?” Meguro remained logical and proposed the next course of action. The other two nodded at that idea and began to follow his lead.
The trio entered into a room with a giant pool that seemed to be toward the back of the complex. Suddenly the roof above the pool gave way as the blue monster from earlier made his entrance. His landing caused the water to disperse but before it could close back in on him he jumped, positioning himself in front of the three students.
“Did that thing beat Gang Orca?” Murasaki muttered out in fear as none of them felt like they could move. The tension was thick and the only sound that could be heard was the downpour of rain coming in from the freshly made hole in the ceiling.
“Move. Move. Move!” Midoriya mentally chanted as he was the first to act throwing a punch toward the monstrosity. His punch was cut short but a quick movement of the monster followed by a small splash.
Looking at his hand Midoriya’s eyes widened in shock as he realized it was gone. Red in the pool caught his eye and as he looked he saw his hand slowly sinking in the water.
Meguro was the second to act as he made a wolf appear out of the shadow of the monster. The black wolf bit at the monster’s leg causing it to turn around and in one kick turn the shadow wolf into a puff of black smoke. “It’s messing with us.” Meguro cursed.
“Me can’t beat that thing. Oh my god! Look at Midoriya!” Murasaki ripped off some fabric from her cape and helped Midoriya make a makeshift tourniquet. Midoriya stared at the monster, deep in thought.
“Any ideas?” Meguro quickly asked as the monster redirected its attention at the trio. The blue figure began to slowly move forward with a demented chuckle.
Midoriya replayed his mother’s last words in his head “Help people” and whispered to himself. “We’re too close to run. Hey if I die you’ll die too right? If you don’t want that then help me Sukuna.”
“I refuse” the Demon known as Sukuna spoke from his cheek just like it had with Gojo. The new voice caused his two classmates to turn and look at him with surprise. “Even if the me inside you dies, my soul is still divided into eighteen other pieces.” Sukuna continued to the annoyance of Midoriya. “Though frustratingly the one who controls this body is not me. If you want me to take over then that’s fine.” His friends looked more confused the more the new voice talked.
“We don’t have time forever this!” Meguro shouted as the monster was taking its time to slowly stalk its prey.
“But before I go after that thing, I’ll kill both of these brats. That one seems full of life, I’d be able to have some fun.” As the body inhabitor drawled on Midoriya gagged as a result of what it had just said.
“I won’t let you do that…” Midoriya determinedly denied what Sukuna had said.
“That’s what I thought. But if all you’re concerned about is me, your friends will definitely die.” The demon lord cackled as the monster prepared to… spit? At them.
The monster spat out blood with so much force that it ripped apart the concrete where the teens had stood. They all managed to avoid the attack in type though.
“I have an idea!” Midoriya shouted drawing the attention of his other two classmates. “Murasaki portal everyone you can out to the front of the building! Once you all are out give me a signal!”
“Are you crazy! That thing will follow us! And you are definitely not staying behind! If Gang Orca couldn’t beat it how do you expect to be able to!” Murasaki shouted back at the green haired boy.
Midoriya calmed down and showed a soft smile. “Hey. It’ll be okay. Please…” his look made Murasaki feel guilty as she looked over to Meguro who gave her a nod. “Fine.” The girl agreed and opened a portal behind her ushering Meguro through.
The boy stopped short of the portal and turned back to Midoriya.”If you die, I’ll kill you.” The statement made Midoriya chucked as the two went through the portal.
Midoriya shifted his attention back to the monster as he thought. “Now I just need to buy them ti-“
He was cut off as the figure made a bubble of red manifest around itself before throwing its arms to the side caused the bubble to explode. The force set Midoriya flying into a wall.
“Agh… Gah…” Midoriya struggled to regain his breath as blood began to trickle from his nose. “What was with that barrier? Was that thing made of blood? Its power was crazy.” As Midoriya finished his thought he looked up to see the monster about to land a devastating punch on him.
Midoriya was sent flying through the wall, skidding across the water land on a pathway the split the pool in the middle of the room. The figure stood at the newly formed hole in a the wall and mocking said. “This has been easy!” Before preparing to do the barrier attack again.
Not sure how to counter the attack the green haired teen panicked and threw his arms in front of him in an attempt to hold it off. Once the barrier made contact with his remaining hand he noted how the red liquid life substance burned. Although it burned it seemed to stop the attack so Midoriya kept it up. Until the bloody barrier began to burn the boys fingers off. As the ends of his fingers began to burn away, Midoriya thought’s raced.
“It hurts, it hurts, it hurts! It’s so damn painful, so painful! Why me?!” Midoriya heard the words of his mother telling him to help people replay through his mind. “If only I never picked up that finger, or never ate it… If only… Stop! Don’t think!” Midoriya started to yell at himself in his mind. “I hate this! No more! I want to run! I don’t want to die! If I die here, who would I have helped! And would this be the ‘right death’”. Midoriya the. Screamed out loud “Don’t think!!”
In that moment Midoriya was overwhelmed by the barrier and once again sent crashing into a wall. “Was I… this weak..?”
-
Outside the complex, a light purple portal appeared. Out of the portal walked the five remaining first years of Shiketsu High. Upon their arrival their instructor came out of the bus asking if they were okay. This caused some of them to look at the man with disgust as he hid in the bus while they had to fight for their lives.
Murasaki opened another portal and the unconscious form of Gang Orca fell through. After closing the portal she huffed with exhaustion. As the other students saw the unconscious hero they gasped. But then as silence settled back over the group, Umi spoke up “Where’s Midoriya?”
“He told us to run… he’s fighting that monster…” Murasaki huffed out as her facial expression change from exhaustion to sadness.
A collective “What?!” Came from the other students and the instructor. As Meguro spoke up.
“That reminds me. He said to give him a signal.” Meguro summoned another wolf made from shadows and it let out a loud howl…
-
Midoriya lay defeated and disheveled against the cracked wall. “I was conceited.” This caused the monster to tilt its head in confusion as the boy continued. “I thought I was strong. I really thought I’d be able to decide how I die…” the broken boy looked down at his hand that has the ends burnt off and then at the other arm where his had used to be. “But I was wrong… I’m weak.”
Midoriya let out a yell as his voice cracked. “AHHH! I don’t wanna die! I don’t want to! I really DON’T WANT TO!!!” He threw his arms to cover his eye as the boy began to cry. “But… I’m going to die…”
“Heroes often die with regrets, even so I want to say I accomplished something, or saved one person. And I haven’t done that yet.” Midoriya thought as he rose to his feet. The boy readied himself into a fighting stance. “Regret, fear, hatred. I’ll use that as my fuel to get through this fight! I’ll use it all up, put all of it behind every blow.” Midoriya charged towards the monster reeling his fist back with all of his might. Suddenly a strange red energy surrounded the boys first as he threw the punch. The blow landed with a resounding thud and a small release of air pressure.
However, the monster had caught the boys fist and cackled. “Shit!” Midoriya cursed. Suddenly Midoriya heard a far off howl, causing the boys eyes to go wide. “That howl, it has to be Meguro’s signal.” The monster looked down at the boy he was fighting and noticed he now had strange markings across his face. The boys voice had completely changed as well.
“You’re such an annoying brat.”
As Sukuna was now in control of Midoriya’s body he gave the monstrosity a pat on the shoulder.
“Wait a sec. I’m thinking right now.” The body hijacker took a couple steps away as he thought. “By time I chase those brats down, the brat would have switched with me. But what would cause the most trouble…” Sukuna stopped in his tracks. “Heh I’ll put you back to square one.” The Demon Lord talked to the boy he shared a body with before turning to the monster.
“Hey, we’re gonna go kill some kids. Follow me.” Sukuna said as he beckoned the monster with a finger while healing the burnt hand.
“Huh. Why would I follow you. I’m meant to kill you.” The figure slurred out as it prepared a blood red strike for the retreating figure of Sukuna.
Turning back around with irritation Sukuna said. “You fool.” As he stuck his arm out blocking the attack fired off by the monster. Realizing that he accidentally healed the boys other hand Sukuna expressed his thoughts. “Ah. I accidentally healed this one too.” He said while waving the hand around. The figure looked surprised at this and gasp in response.
“I guess you don’t like taking walks. You don’t want to leave, that’s fine.” The marked man said with a smile. Suddenly his face shifted to display a more serious tone and in the blink of an eye he appeared next to the monster grabbing his face. “Die here.” Next Sukuna through the blue figure to the ground.
The monster looked up in shock as Sukuna was standing over it with his foot hovering over its face. “Hey. Do your best.” The demon antagonized as he brought his foot careening into the monster’s face. The blow destroyed the bridge dividing the pools and caused all the water occupying said pools to fly in the air and come back down as a mist.
While falling the monster grabbed Sukuna’s leg, much to the demon’s surprise. The monster swung attempting to slam the small form in his arm against the concrete of the pool floor. His attempt fell short upon realizing his arm was gone. In response the monster let out a cry.
Sukuna sat down with his legs crossed behind the monster. He held up its severed arm and asked. “Oh? Is this valuable to you?” Ending the question with a little chuckle. This caused the monster to begin to sweat.
-
“Okay, everyone on the bus.” The instructor said to the five students standing outside in the rain.
“What! We aren’t leaving without Midoriya.” Meguro spoke up as his classmates made their agreement vocal with a shout.
“Well at least get out of the rain…” the instructor had a long pause before continuing. “I hate to be the bearer of bad news but if a pro like Gang Orca couldn’t defeat that monster what chance does a child with no experience have.” The instructor gave out the harsh reality to the students.
“How could you say that! Anyway he seemed like he had a plan.” Murasaki spoke back to the instructor.
The following silence was interrupted this time by Nishikawa. “Well if Midoriya had lost already wouldn’t that monster have come back for us?” The tree boy asked looked back at the complex.
“Five more minutes. Then we leave.” The instructor explained before walking onto the bus. All the students stayed out in the rain staring at the complex…
-
“Y’know, they call us both villains, me and you small fry. But you’re more of a pawn than anything. I can tell you didn’t organize all this.” Sukuna antagonized the monster who was current imbedded into a wall with both arms missing.
Grunting and with strained effort the armless monster pushed itself out of the wall. It landed on the ground and suddenly began to, cry?
“Aw you’re sad. You and that brat are similar in that way I guess. Also, you and that brat, don’t understand crap about how to use a quirk.” Sukuna taunted with a smile. Sukuna stood with his feet about shoulder length apart and brought his hands together in front of him, all fingers were bent except his middle and ring finger which were pressed together facing up. “Very well, this is an opportunity. I’ll teach you what using a quirk is really about.”
“Domain Expansion. Malevolent Shrine.”
Behind Sukuna a demonic shrine appeared atop a pile of various bones and skulls.
“B-brother… s-save me…” the blue monster cried out in its last moments as it was split vertically into various pieces.
“I intended to cut you into three pieces. You really are weak huh?” Sukuna taunted one last time as he walked up to the remains of the monster. “Anyway, I’ll take this.” The demon reached into the remains pulling out one of his fingers.
Turning around, Sukuna took a few step away from his handy work before putting his hands in his pockets and stopping.
“I’m done!” The marked man shouted. “So unpleasant! If you’re gonna switch with me, just do it already!” Only silence followed. “Brat?” Even more silence. An evil smile spread across Sukuna’s face as he realize the current situation.
-
“Alright five minutes is up everyone on the bus.” The instructor demanded as the students lowered their heads in defeat.
Meguro hadn’t moved however and stood staring at the complex. “C’mon Midoriya.” The boy thought. “You just gotta make it back alive.”
“If it’s about him, he’s not coming back.” A voice spoke from behind Meguro. Turning around he saw Midoriya in between him and the rest of his classmates at the bus.
“Midoriya!” His classmates exclaimed. But since Meguro was face to face with the boy he could tell something was off. There were strange black markings along his face and his second pair of eyes were open, something he’d never seen before.
“Who are you?” Meguro calmly demanded to the confusion of his classmates who became even more confused once a voice that did not belong to Midoriya escaped the green haired boy.
“Don’t be so frightened, I’m in a good mood right now. Let’s talk a little.” Sukuna spoke from the body of their classmate and they all had no idea what was going on. Sukuna walked around to where he was facing everyone at the same time thinking to himself. “It’s must be payback for using me like some power up.”
The demon lord then spoke aloud once again. “He seems to have a little trouble swapping with me. This won’t last long, so I thought about what to do in the mean time. Sukuna explained as he began to rip off his jacket. Revealing his torso which was also covered in strange black markings only caused the classmates of Midoriya to fall further into confusion.
Suddenly Sukuna plunged his hand through his chest causing the present students to scream. Sukuna smiled as blood flowed from the edges of his mouth, he ripped out the boy’s heart showing it off to his classmates. “I’ll be taking that brat hostage.” Sukuna then dropped the heart onto the ground explaining. “I can live without this, but that brat can’t. Swapping with me would mean death.” The demon then reached into his pocket pulling out the finger and then swallowing it. “And this is to be doubly sure.”
“I’m gonna be sick, did he just eat a finger!” Umi cried as she hid behind the rest of her classmates at the disturbing and confusing sight they had all just witnessed. As in front of them stood a figure who had stolen Midoriya’s body? The person as also ripped out his own heart leaving a gaping hole in his chest that was still bleeding.
“Well then, I’m a free man. You can be afraid now.” Sukuna spoke to the students as his finger nails turned into claws. “I’ll kill you all for no particular reason.”
“Well I don’t know who you are or how you took over Midoriya’s body, but he will come back, even if he dies as a result. He’s the kind of guy who wouldn’t let himself hurt others.” Murasaki interjected while huffing as she hadn’t fully recovered from using her quirk to get everyone out of the complex.
Sukuna smirked wiping the blood from his mouth. “You’re think way too highly of him. He’s just some hero wannabe who’s a little stronger than most other humans.”
“Humans? Are you not human?” Nishikawa asked the demon lord who possessed his friend. His question went ignored as Sukuna continued.
“Just a while ago he was so scared while on the verge of death. He was hyping himself up like a mess, you know?” Flicking the blood from his mouth off his fingers Sukuna continued. “I’ll tell you this… He doesn’t have the guts to commit suicide.”
“His arm healed. So he has some kind of regeneration. I just gotta make him use his regeneration and heal Midoriya’s heart, then maybe he can fight back control somehow.” Meguro deduced as he took a fighting stance. Some of the students behind him followed suit not entirely sure about the plan.
“I could barely move against that monster earlier. And this guy beat that thing. Can I do this? Whether I can do it doesn’t matter. I’ll do it!” Meguro hyped himself up mentally before creating a shadow bird and charging in towards the possessed Midoriya.
Slicking his green hair back out of his face, Sukuna smiled at the approaching boy. “I’ve finally made it outside. Let’s make full use of this space!” Sukuna stepped back as the bird began to circle him while the boy rushed in attempting to engage in hand to hand combat. Every attempt the boy made to hit the demon was blocked. Sukuna gave a wicked grin “C’mon, put some more strength into it.” He antagonized the boy before delivering a destructive backhand to the boys face.
Meguro recoiled and created a giant snake under the possessor. The snake grabbed Sukuna in its mouth lifting him into the air as the bird began to swoop in and finally land some hits on the demon.
“Don’t give him time!” Meguro shouted at his creations as two of his classmates flew past his sides.
Yoarashi took to the air as Sukuna destroyed the snake causing him to be enveloped in black smoke. Yoarashi directed a wind blade at the cloud causing it to disperse but no one was in its place.
“Behind you!” Nishikawa shouted as he fired off pieces of bark at the floating figure behind his flying classmate. Sukuna put a hand on Yoarashi’s shoulder, pushing don’t causing an audible pop as well as making the boy spin. The Hijacker then used the flying boy’s body as a shield from the bark before grabbing his ankle. Spinning the large boy around a few times before launching him at the one who fired off the bark, the impact caused a small cloud of dust to appear. The result had both boys lying in a heap on the ground.
A portal opened behind Sukuna as so bubbles came through floating towards the demon. He looked at them in confusion as one popped on his nose. The pop caused an explosion.
Meguro looked over to his remaining classmates as the purple haired girl was bleeding from the nose for quirk overuse as she shut the portal she had opened in front of Umi, who had been blowing bubbles through a pipe into said portal.
“I told you didn’t I?” Sukuna had appeared behind Meguro looking no worse than he had before the explosion. The marked man grabbed the back of Meguro’s shirt. “Let’s make full use of this space.” After saying this, Sukuna threw the black hair boy into the air. The remaining conscious members of the class called out after their classmate in concern.
As Meguro was hurling through the air he came to the realization that the strength and agility he was witnessing was not boosted by any quirk yet they were still on a whole other level. Sukuna appeared behind the boy with his hands raised and clasped for a sledgehammer blow. Meguro quickly reacted and created a bird for protection. “Good idea.” Sukuna laughed out as the blow connected sending the boy now wrapped in bird rocketing back to earth.
On the way down Meguro went through several walls before cratering in the ground. Luckily for his the bird to most of the damage. Meguro made the bird fizzle away as Sukuna landed before the boy.
“So you can create anything out of shadows and limit yourself to animals. Talk about a waste of talent.” Sukuna pointed at the point while breaking down his quirk. “Well whatever, In any case, at this rate. I’m not gonna heal this y’know?” Sukuna jeered as he pointed to the hole in his chest.
“Dammit. I’ve been completely exposed. Im all alone and I don’t have anything else up my sleeve.” Meguro cursed himself and his situation as he realized he landed on the other end of the complex.
“You’re risking your life doing something so foolish. This brat, he isn’t even worth it.” Sukuna mocked with a smile while looking down at the shadow boy.
Meguro fell into thought. “Unfairness is the only thing fairly imposed on all of us.” He heard the words of someone close to him replay through his mind. “If I have time to ruin someone’s day. I’d rather spend that time making the world a little more fair.” Meguro began to stand again as he replayed his little memories with Midoriya.
“The world’s unfair. That’s obvious. But people like Midoriya will go through hell and back to make it even the slightest bit more fair for one individual. He and I will save people unfairly.” Meguro talked back to Sukuna while getting in a stance.
The overcast sky caused a lack of light. Where there is an absence of light, there is an abundance of darkness. The shadows around Meguro began to morph and crawl, conjoining in a central point as the boy discovered his ace in the hole.
“Good. That’s good. You’re getting fired up now huh?” The demon lord questioned his opponent before yelling. “Entertain me Akio Meguro!!!”
Meguro prepared himself to try out his new idea unsure if it would work. But, he stopped. “I… I don’t know why Midoriya is the way he is, but he shows kindness as a first reaction. He never expects anything back… I’m no hero. Not yet anyway. But when I am, I hope I can be like you.” Meguro looked his classmate’s body in the eyes as the markings on Midoriya’s skin began to fade away.
“I see…” Midoriya’s voice returned with a somber tone. “I don’t think I’m that important. After all, the only thing I did was give you a sandwich. But thanks.” The boy coughed up a little blood as Meguro muttered out “It was more than that…”
“Ah sorry. It’s almost time for me. You, Murasaki, the rest of our class, and Gojo Sensei. I don’t need to worry about you guys right?” Midoriya began to collapse as his body gave out. “Live a long life will ya?” Midoriya’s body went completely limp as he lied face first down against the pavement.
Meguro looked up towards the sky as raindrops pelted his face. In this rain it’d be import tell if the boy was crying, but he was unable to look down at the body of his friend.
Notes:
Wooo this is the largest chapter by far. I really want the get the whole field trip done in one part.
Anyway with the hero costumes not much thought went into it. I thought of something and was like yeah I like that. Although I will say Umi’s costume is based off of frogadier.
Everytime Gojo has seen Midoriya out of his uniform the boy has been wearing a hoodie. Gojo figured the boy loved hoodies and put one in his hero costume. I drew what Midoriya’s hero costume looks like btw

Not sure if that’ll work.
Anyways. Merry Christmas y’all. Stay safe
Chapter Text
“He told us to ‘live long’…” Murasaki spoke up in a broken voice that nearly came out as a question.
Four of the first year students sat scattered around the common room of their dormitory. The tv was absently on the back as Meguro relayed the final moments of there recently deceased classmate.
“But all your problems vanish when you die… and they’re left with others.” Murasaki spoke through her hand, that had been put over her mouth to hide her face. She had a bandage on her forehead and left cheek. In fact, all four students in the room were littered with bandages.
“Hmph. You seem oddly fine…” Meguro directed the statement at his purple haired classmate who had been the most vocal.
“Everyone does… and anyway, I only knew him for about 2 weeks. Why would I cry over someone I barely knew?” The comment caused Meguro to look up from his hands towards his classmate. She now had her cheek resting on her fist and her lower lip was quivering .
“I feel like I’m still in shock… and I feel guilty that it hasn’t hit me yet.” Umi, the blue haired girl spoke up from across the room. Umi herself looked about ready to burst into tears as the drop of a hat as she attempted to fan the tears out of her own eyes.
“Don’t feel guilty. It’s nobody’s fault.” Meguro reassured his classmate before Murasaki added on to his point. “Actually it’s whoever it was that stole his body.” She began to sound angry as the image of the marked Midoriya appeared in her head.
“What if the was his quirk? That’s the only time I saw his second set of eyes open.” Nishikawa spoke up as he grabbed the tv remote and absentmindedly began flipping through channels. The comment caused a silence to fall over the group.
“What the hell! Why would he lie about that though?” Murasaki broke the silence addressing her confusion.
“I’m not sure. But, as your classmate I have all of your best interests in mind. He clearly didn’t feel comfortable sharing his quirk, so I never pushed…” the leaf headed teen answered back.
“Maybe because it’s evil.” Umi whispered just loud enough for everyone to hear. They all stared at the blue haired girl causing her to shrink in on herself.
“Obviously it was. Maybe he was bullied because of it? And he didn’t want to repeat all that?” Meguro elaborated upon Umi’s point.
“That’s stupid. Who would… Actually that explains somethings.” Murasaki cut herself off halfway through her own sentence as she put a hand to her chin.
“Disaster struck a group of hero hopefuls while on e field trip yesterday!” All four of them turned their attention to the television as Nishikawa has landed on the news and stopped channel surfing once he heard the topic. None of the students had yet thought about the aftermath of a student dying on a field trip and what that would do to heroes in the eyes of the public.
“While on a day long trip for training the first year class 1-A of U.A. found themselves under attack. The villains called themselves ‘The League of Villains’ and were equipped with a monster which has reportedly been dubbed a ‘Nomu’. Luckily backup in the form of All Might arrived on the scene and sent the villains crawling back to where ever they came from. We have reports that no students were seriously injured, although the students teacher was hospitalized. We will cover the story in more detail once more information is public. Anyway, back to the weather…” The four classmates were all shocked upon hearing that U.A. has been attacked the same day as their school but some were irritated that the incident that occurred at their field trip wasn’t covered.
“Hello! I’m pretty sure a class being attacked and then a hero student dying on a class trip is more important than nobody dying!” Murasaki shouted out in frustration at no one in particular.
“What going on?..” Nishikawa mumbled out under his breath.
The four classmates redirected their attention to the sound of an opening door behind them. Yoarashi walked out of his room and the four just stared at him as he made his way to the kitchen. Once her arrived at his destination he finally noticed his classmates stares
“What? I’m hungry.”
“Heartless meathead.” The purple haired girl grumbled under her breath.
-
In a familiar decrepit bar within the Kamino Ward, the pale blue haired man covered in hands nursed his wounds. Tomura Shigaraki grumbled as he finished bandaging multiple bullet holes that riddled his body.
“Damn, heroes! I wanna tear it all down.” Shigaraki grunted in pain rolling his shoulder. The tv in the corner sparked to life still only displaying a black screen.
“Now now Tomura. Don’t be discouraged. We got what we wanted, didn’t we?” The evil voice from the tv spoke with a smirk that could be heard.
Tomura scoffed at that. “Sure we found out All Might is getting weaker, but was it necessary to use a finger? Just to check if he has the strength to match it.” The hand covered man questioned his master.
“Kechizu would not have stood a chance without being boosted by the power of the finger. I doubt he would’ve been able to handle Gang Orca without it, and it was insurance to draw out Sukuna.” The wicked grin of Shigaraki’s master could be heard through the tv.
“But the vessel died.” Tomura retorted while scratching his neck. “So we lost a finger and Sukuna.” Shigaraki’s irritation became evident in his words.
“Everything will work out, have faith Tomura.” The master paused before he decided to plot the next course of action. “Now I can provide some assistance but you need to go and gather allies. One’s that are competent this time around. Have Kurogiri assist you.”
“Right. But what’s the plan?” Tomura deadpanned towards the television.
“As of now, we have three conditions that need to be met in order to achieve victory. Render Satoru Gojo unable to fight, win over the double faced demon and Izuku Midoriya, and find out if who All Might has chosen as his successor.” The televised mastermind plates out the plans for success.
“Wait a minute. A successor? And that Midoriya brat is dead. Isn’t he?” Tomura was now becoming confused the more this conversation went on.
“Ah yes, All Might can pass on his quirk to another, the same way he received it.” Shigaraki let out a surprised noise at the revelation before his master continued. “And don’t be so sure about the Midoriya kid, it’ll all take care of itself.”
“Alright then the first point?” Tomura was reaching his limit as his nails began to dig into his neck from the incessant scratching.
“Ah Satoru Gojo, even if the three of us were to attack him at once we can’t kill him.” This caused Tomura to let out a “huh?”
“He’ll either make an effortless escape, or in the worst case scenario, kill all of us. Since killing him is impossible I have the doctor working on a Nomu, its only intention would be to seal Gojo.” There was no longer a smirk in the man’s voice as he explained plans going forward.
“Seal? Wouldn’t a quirk like his be invaluable? Why not come up with a plan to steal it?” Shigaraki countered his masters plan.
“It’s not possible. So the current order to things is to gather allies and useful quirks. I’ll explain more to you once the time is right.” With that the tv let out a static howl indicating that it had turned off.
Turn to the bartender made of purple mist, Tomura picked up a glass. “Alright. Where do we start then?” The hand covered man closed his fist as the glass turned to dust and fell through his hand.
-
“It was on purpose, wasn’t it?” Gojo spoke to the man who had supervised the students on the field trip. The hero was sitting down in a chair leaning forward, while the substitute stood awkwardly a few feet away. The two were in the school’s morgue, as grim as it was a death during school activities or internships was never a zero percent chance.
“You say that but…” the substitute weakly spoke but his voice died in his throat as his own heartbeat grew louder than his words.
“They called me out on a mission that anyone could’ve handled, just so I wouldn’t be there to protect the students. On top of that the location of the training facility was leaked a few days prior along with visiting plans.” The blindfolded hero rubbed a hand through his hair and then directed his gaze towards the man who stepped in for his students. “I did the impossible and granted Izuku an indefinite postponement on his death penalty. What’s really messed up is that the commission stealthily disposed of him in my absence. With the help of a Nomu, that’s what the public has been calling them right? That’s what this is isn’t it?”
The hero gave a stern look the other teacher causing the man to shrink back in fear.
“Even if any of the other five died, you thought doing something to spite me would kill two birds with one stone, didn’t you?” As Gojo now accused the teacher, the poor man began sweating bullets.
“No. I was just told to watch over the students instruction. No one expected an attack of any kind.” The teacher sounded as if he could collapse into a puddle within the second. If possible the man shrunk further into himself as Gojo shot his head up.
“Finding the perpetrator is also troublesome. The commission leaked the information out hoping they’d be attacked, so. Shall I go ahead, and kill all those guys at the top?” At that the substitute nearly collapsed from fear and the aura exuding from Gojo.
“It’s rare to see you so emotional.” A new voice spoke up from the door. Both men turned their attention to the new arrival. “You must’ve been really fond of him, huh?” The bubbly voice of Ms Joke broke the previous silence.
“Well, I am a nice guy who’s always fond of his students.” Gojo pointed out while literally pointing at The green haired hero.
“Don’t pick on this guy too much ‘kay!” Ms Joke motioned to the teacher who seemed more relaxed now, but also confused. “It’s gotta be hard being a normie teacher in a hero school.” As the sea foam green haired hero continued, she threw on a doctor’s coat.
The as previously stated “normie teacher” thought to himself. “Why is she here! She doesn’t even teach at this school?!”
“I don’t give a damn about this guy’s hardships.” Gojo stated in mock annoyance.
“Alrighty! This is…” the smile hero walked over to a medical bed and removed a sheet that had been covering the deceased body of Izuku Midoriya. “Sukuna’s vessel right?” The hero continued as she fully took off the cover, revealing the green haired boy.
“Y’know I can’t heal a hole in the chest right?” Joke said while pointing to the crater in the center of Midoriya’s chest.
“I wasn’t expecting you to heal him. Just make use of him.” The blindfolded hero retorted casting his gaze down ever so slightly.
“Oh I will! Who do you think you talking to?” Ms Joke chirped looking back at Gojo as she put rubber gloves on to prep herself.
Gojo leaned back into the chair crossing his arms and the substitute was no standing closer after feeling a bit more comfortable.
“Y’know, I have a bad personality, don’t I?” The hero directed the question at the teacher.
“I know.” The teacher muttered as he rapidly began to sweat once more.
“I’ll seriously slap you later.” Gojo accentuated the threat with finger guns, before folding his arms once more. “Why would someone like me, who doesn’t have the characteristics of a teacher, take a teaching job in a hero school? Ask me.” The hero told the teacher knowing he would play along.
“Why is that?” The teacher squeaked out, not daring to go against the heroes wishes.
“Because I have a dream.”
“A dream you say?..”
“Yeah. As you know from what happened to Izuku, the commission is the den of evil in hero society.” Gojo explained as he leaned forward bringing his hands together. “Conservative fools, nepotic fools, arrogant fools, and simply idiotic fuckers… It’s a bargain sale for rotten oranges. I’ll hit reset, on the shithole that hero society is.”
The blindfolded hero moved his hands to emphasize the words of his monologue. “It’s easy to slaughter the guys at the top. But they would just be replaced and nothing would change. And anyone who’d simply kill the higher ups wouldn’t gain any followers, like the whole Nagant situation. That’s why I chose education. To raise both strong and intelligent heroes. That’s why I dump hard assignments on my students sometimes, tough love ya know?”
The hero paused for a second in which the teacher had time to think. “And that’s not because you don’t want to give each student their own exercises, instead give them all the same one that even the strongest student would struggle with?” The teacher thought to himself. He wouldn’t dare say those thoughts out loud. At the silence Gojo continued.
“They’re all excellent students, especially the second-year Okkotsu, he’ll become a hero that could rival me.” Gojo clenched his fists at his sides as he angrily thought. “Izuku was one too.”
“Hey you two!” Gojo’s monologue was ultimately ended by Ms Joke drawing the attention towards her and the teenage corpse behind her.
“I’m gonna hop to it now!”
Notes:
Shorter chapter with a whole lotta talking. I kept it short because I wanted Midoriya to stay dead for at least a chapter and it lets a lot of other stuff fall into place I think.
Also since the full extent of her quirk isn’t know, I am making the decision that when she makes someone laugh she can heal them.
Chapter Text
A vast eternal darkness blanketed the sky. The floor was drown in a shallow water and caged in by a giant skeletal structure resembling a spine and rib cage. A pile of animal skulls reside at one end with an eerie and malevolent shrine of sorts resting at the top. Two nearly identical figures occupy this space, one atop the mound of skulls and the other at the base standing in the ankle deep water.
“Don’t look up at me without permission. It’s unpleasant, brat.”
“Then come down. We can talk face to face.”
-
“Gojo told us to train for Shiketsu’s sports festival? I thought only UA did that.” Murasaki questioned her classmates, as they all stood out in the backyard of their dorm.
“I believe it is just a glorified tournament, 1v1 style.” Nishikawa enlightened his classmates.
“They’re just trying to compete with UA. Even though they get overshadowed every year.” Meguro grumbled out.
“So… uh how do we train for fights against each other without the final tournament being one big sparring match? Cause if we fight each other to get ready for fighting each other, I don’t see the point in practicing.” Murasaki retorted, feeling annoyed about the situation. “And why isn’t our teacher helping us!?” She yelled in frustration.
“There are plenty of ways to prepare for a fight without fighting!” Yoarashi shouted to motivate his classmates. “We shall improve ourselves to make these matches interesting and worthwhile!”
Silence followed as the rest of the class stared at the wind manipulator. Most of them were annoyed at how calm and cheerful he had been despite recent events.
“We could focus on our quirks?” Umi supplied a quiet question for her classmates. It was pondered for a bit before Meguro spoke up.
“That’s kinda what the teachers are for though, right?” He responded as Umi shrunk in defeat. With annoyance evident on her face Murasaki supplied an alternative.
“So what? Should we just hit the gym?”
“Hey! You guys are the first years right?” The five students in question turned their heads toward to source of the new voice.
Approaching the group of first years was a man covered in hair, from head to toe. He was also wearing a student uniform, which could only mean he was an upper class man. No one spoke up as he now stood in front of the group. The situation was made even more awkward as none of the students could tell where the new arrival was looking. The silence was then broken as the hairy figure spoke once more.
“My name is Nagamasa Mora, and I’m a second year here.” The hairy man introduced himself getting a nod of acknowledgment from a few of the first years. “I heard you guys talking about getting ready for the Sports Festival. We second years can help you with that if you’d like.”
-
“You sure are seething with anger.” The demon known as Sukuna taunted Midoriya from his place atop the mountain of skulls.
“Damn right I am. You killed me! Remember.” Midoriya spoke through gritted teeth as Sukuna let out an exasperated sigh.
“Well, looks like you forgot how I healed your arm for you…”
“You took my heart out of my chest right after that! Midoriya nearly interrupted his murderer as he yelled out. “And I have to be trapped with you even after I die. This has gotta be hell.” Sukuna scoffed at the boy below him.
“What are you going to do about it brat?” The green haired boy seemed to pause thinking about the situation for a second. The teen took in the environment before he thought to himself.
“If this is hell then where is everyone else. No this looks similar to the thing he did when he killed that guy. So maybe…” Izuku’s thoughts trailed off as he quickly picked up a skull and threw it at Sukuna.
The muderer jump to avoid the pathetic excuse for an attack as he landed on top of the skeletal structure covering the area. He turned around to see Izuku right behind him attempting to get close.
“Brace yourself.” Midoriya warned despite the dire situation as he reared his fist back for a punch. As a response Sukuna wickedly smiled before shouting back.
“No need.”
Sukuna swung a fist out quickly aim straight for the boys head. The blow only connected with air as Izuku ducked and struck the floor with his fist.
“You fell for that?” Izuku questioned seeming genuinely curious. “From the beginning, I was aiming for the ground!” The teen thought as he quickly pushed off the ground for extra leverage, delivering a kick heading straight for Sukuna’s face.
In the blink of an eye the kick had whiffed and the murderer now stood behind the teen.
“Huh?”
“You’re so boring.” Sukuna spoke with a look of complete disgust as he idly kicked the teen off their current battle ground. Izuku let out a choked yell as he plummeted back down towards the shallow water, making a surprisingly large splash.
Izuku quickly rose from the water. The teen shook his hair dry as he mentally questioned how he had missed. Noticing a growing shadow, Izuku looked up just in time to see Sukuna land directly on his back, adding onto the attack the murderer forced the teen’s head under the water with a foot firmly on the back of his head.
The water bubbled before Midoriya got his head above water once more.
“We’re not in hell. We’re in my domain.” Sukuna spoke down to the teen as he rested from a seated position on Midoriya’s back.
“I put that together, but I don’t know what that means.” Izuku grumbled as he struggled to keep his mouth above the water, causing a few bubbles to form.
“You can call it my ‘quirk factor’, you idiot. Which means, we’re not dead yet.” Sukuna’s elaboration caused more questions to form in the teen’s mind, but before any questions could be asked Sukuna smiled down at the teen and proposed an offer.
“So, if you accept my conditions, I’ll fix your heart and bring you back to life.”
“Wait. I thought you didn’t care if I died, what’s the deal?” Izuku questioned as the pieces didn’t fit together.
“The circumstances have changed.” Sukuna looked forward thinking back to his last moments in the land of the living. “Before long, we’ll be able to see something interesting.” The two faced specter brightened his mood as he held up two fingers.
“I have two conditions. If I yell ‘enchain’ you’ll surrender your body to me for once minute. Two, you’ll forget about this pact.”
“No way. I don’t fully understand your intentions but they’re fishy. I finally understood something after what happened. You’re pure evil, I’ll never lend you my body again.” Izuku spoke as concern for the world flashed through his eyes.
“If that’s the case, then let’s make a deal. I won’t kill or hurt anyone within that minute. That should be good right?” Sukuna offered to the teen.
“Why would I believe you!” Izuku shouted causing Sukuna to sigh in annoyance.
“It’s not about whether you believe me or not. This is a ‘binding’ vow. If I don’t obey that contract my quirk factor is at risk. If you indulge in your own interests more than you deserve to, you’ll be punished. You should have learned that the hard way.” Sukuna spoke in a mocking tone making his superiority known
Izuku had many questions still but chose to remain silent as he let the words of his murderer sink in. At the teen’s silence Sukuna chose to continue talking.
“A ‘contract’ that serves the interest of all parties. It was common knowledge at the dawn of quirks.” Sukuna explained to belittle the boy. There was a pause as Izuku weighed his options.
“Fine. Get off me. I’ll accept your conditions.” Midoriya spoke clearly irritated as Sukuna got off the boy. Now standing next to each other Izuku continued. “I still don’t understand what your goal is. But I can come back to life so.”
Izuku’s fist quickly connected with Sukuna’s face sending the murderer sliding backwards.
“There’s now way I’d do that. Bring me back with no conditions.” The teen glared at the body hijacker. “You forgot that I’m dead because of you?”
“Well do this then.” Sukuna spoke with an evil smile on his face.
“Let’s kill each other, if you win I’ll do it with no conditions. If I win I’ll bring us back to life under my ‘contract’”.
“Uh, no.”
“What do you mean no?” Sukuna asked with his irritation audible.
“I know I couldn’t win a fight against you, and I don’t want to kill anyone. I’m not like you.” Izuku retorted with disgust in his voice.
“This brat.” Sukuna grumbled under his breath before speaking up. “You hold onto your heroic mindset even after I killed you?” The Demon King ended with a scoff.
“Y’know maybe I shouldn’t come back at all. I didn’t do all that much but the world is a better place without you in it.” The teen spoke attempting to strike a nerve. Sukuna’s expression soured in annoyance at the teens antics as the murder thought.
“This brat is the true pinnacle of heroic idiocy.” Sukuna let out a heavy sigh before his wicked smile returned.
“If you land one hit on me, the deal goes your way. If I win we use my ‘contract’”. Sukuna proposed causing Izuku to pause while mentally weighing his options once more.
“Landing one hit, that doesn’t seem too hard, right? I don’t think I can argue further to get a better deal.” Izuku thought out before speaking up.
“Fine. I’ve already hit you once so this shouldn’t be too ha-” Midoriya had confidently started but was cut off, literally as the top half of his head was severed from the rest of his body.

“Hey you two!” The smile hero, Ms. Joke called out to the two across the room as she slapped a glove on. The two teachers looked over in response. The smile hero knows that she was now the center of attention so she exclaimed.
“I’m gonna hop to it now!” There was a slight rustling behind her as she noticed the substitute’s jaw drop and his eyes nearly bulging out of their sockets. Gojo also looked surprised even though he was wearing a blindfold. Their expressions had Ms. Joke’s attention, so she asked.
“What are you guys staring at?”
“AHH! I’m naked!”
A younger voice shouted from behind the smile hero starting her and causing her to quickly spin on her heel. Where there was once a dead teenager was now a very much alive boy. He was curled in on himself and his face was a bright red.
“Go- Go- Gojo! H- He’s a- alive!” The substitute called out to Gojo stuttering like a dying engine. Causing the blindfolded hero to chuckle.
“That’s a bit of a shame.” Ms. Joke spoke from beside the teen as she went and grabbed him some clothes.
“This is embarrassing! Why is she here! I thought Ms. Joke taught at Ketsubutsu Academy!” Midoriya’s mind was going into overdrive as he was wildly out of his comfort zone.
“Izuku! Welcome back!” The cheerful voice of the teen’s teacher grounded the boy as the hero reached out for a high five.
“Yeah. Thanks!” Izuku responded while he enthusiastically returned the high five. The teen was then given a change of clothes as Gojo and Ms. Joke went off to the side to talk.
“Man. Now I have to change the report.” Ms. Joke explained with a frown.
“Nah, it’s fine like this. Before they come after Midoriya again, I want time to build up Izuku’s strength to an acceptable minimum. Leave Izuku as dead on the record.” The hero explained as he glanced at the teen that was the topic of discussion.
Throwing a shirt on Midoriya muttered out. “I wonder if everyone will be surprised.”
“Hm?” Ms. Joke question drawing the attention of the blindfolded hero back to their current conversation.
“I haven’t forgiven the higher ups, for taking away a young person’s youth away. Not even one of them.”

Chapter Text
“When it comes to close range combat, you take the lead out of your class, Izuku.” Gojo addressed his student in a basement room designed to resemble an apartment.
“What you should focus on now, is the control of your quirk.” The hero addressed getting to the point.
“Huh?” Izuku blankly stared back at his mentor. “Um, I don’t have one… kinda hard to forget.”
“About that, every person has a core in their bodies, or a place where their quirk originates from. People have dubbed this a person’s quirk factor. Now, since you lacked a quirk, your quirk factor was empty. Meaning when you ate Sukuna’s finger, the quirk energy from his quirk factor that was stored within now resides in you.” The hero emphasized the explanation to his student by poking Izuku in the chest.
“So you’re saying I have Sukuna’s quirk? Awesome! Okay! How do I use this.” The teen got in a fighting stance preparing himself.
“Not quite. I’m saying your quirk factor is filling with remnants of Sukuna’s quirk factor. Now there is a chance you get Sukuna’s quirk later down the line, but you don’t have it right now.” Gojo clarified to his student’s disappointment.
Izuku waved his arms in retaliation, tiring of the confusing conversation and just wishing for his teacher to be straightforward.
“Then why are you talking like I have a quirk!” The teen complained, as he wouldn’t admit it out loud, but he was disappointed by the news.
“Alright, straight to the point. There is actually a vast amount of energy that came along with Sukuna when you ate his finger, and as I mentioned it’s filling up your quirk factor. So there is a possibility that you can use that energy similarly to an emitter-type quirk. Kinda like an energy stock pile quirk just without a limit”. The teacher explained in a way to try and make it as simple as possible.
“Wait, why not limit?”
“Since the energy comes from Sukuna it’s practically unlimited although it seems to have a cap. Although that’ll probably increase the more fingers you eat.”
The teen responded with a bright smile as he stared at his teacher.
“What’s up?” It was Gojo’s turn to ask the teen a question.
“I want to save people, so need to get strong. And what better way to get strong than learn from the strongest.” The smile never left Izuku’s face during his explanation. “It’s like learning from All Might”.
Following the comment about the number one hero the teen’s face became serious.
“I wasn’t able to save anyone because I was weak. And then I almost killed my classmates and I did kill that guy that attacked. If I want to prevent anyone in front of me from dying again. I want, no. I need to become strong. So please teach me to be the strongest.” Izuku left his heart on his sleeve for his teacher, who laughed at the praise he had received from his student.
“You have a good eye. So let’s start with a demonstration. Look at those soda cans over there”. The teacher pointed over to a shelf where two soda cans sat. Suddenly both cans were hit with an invisible force.
“Woah!”
“Like you said, I’m the strongest, so I can separate them energy my quirk uses and the quirk itself. Anyway, that one was just using my ‘quirk energy’, so to speak”. Gojo pointed at the first can which only had a dent in it.
“And that one’s was with a quirk”. The hero motioned to the second can which looked like it had been twisted.
Izuku stared at the two cans as his hind rose to his chin and he began to mutter to himself under his breath.
“Care to share?”
“It’s hard to explain. It’s like with the second one if you used a microwave to heat up your food, but with the first one you just fried it with straight voltage. Is that right?” Izuku turned to his teacher with the question.
“Wow, right on the money!” Gojo smile at his student as he gave the teen a thumbs up.
“So, you’re saying I’ll just be able to shock people!”
“No… you gotta figure out a way to harness that energy in a way reminiscent of a quirk.”
“Oh… wait! I already did that!”
“Hmm? Explain.”
“On the field trip, when fighting that blood guy with the blue skin. I threw a punch that felt way stronger!” Midoriya ended the explanation flexing his right arm as if to show off the power he used, although no energy was visible.
His teacher nodded in acknowledgment, although he has yet to see the attacker of the class trip. The hero makes the assumption that that’s who his student is referring to.
“Okay, then try it again.” Gojo lifted his hand as a target for his student.
“Wait. Before we start, I got a few questions.”
The two stared at each other as the student waited for confirmation to continue and Gojo crossed his arms waiting for the teen to continue.
…
“Go ahead.”
“Oh. Okay so one, why aren’t I allowed to go back to class with everyone? Two uh, I remember everything from when Sukuna was in control of my body. He used this weird move against the guy who attacked us. It was called uh, ‘domain extension’, no that’s not right. Was it ‘expansion’, anyway it was something like that. And I was wondering if you knew anything about that. Hmm, oh uh last question. How can you tell the stuff about my quirk factor?” The teen finished his ramble taking a deep breath.
“I can answer those. Well to answer the first question, I believe there was some foul play involved with your death. And so I don’t want word getting out that you are alive yet, for your own protection.” As Gojo answered the question he held up a finger according to the question.
“Secondly, ‘Domain Expansion’, I’ll explain that later. And lastly I’ve got some real special eyes”. The hero pointed to his blindfold emphasizing his eyes.
“And here I thought you were blind”.
“Well if you don’t have any more questions.” Gojo held his hand up again for Izuku to hit. “Give it a try, see if you can draw out the same power you did back then”.
“Alright.” Izuku to a strong stance as he prepared a punch. He thought of the strongest punches he could, his brain going to the number one hero. With All Might on his mind he mentally yelled out ‘SMASH’ as he threw the punch.
And nothing happened…
“Aww man”. The teen grumbled in frustration.
“You’re going about it wrong. Like I said with emitter-types the energy of a quirk comes from within your body. You gotta focus on bringing that to the forefront. It also wouldn’t hurt to remember how you were feeling and thinking the first time it happened to try and replicate the feeling.” Gojo the point at his had again.
“So with that in mind, try again.”
Izuku thought back to the side of the pool. ‘Regret’, ‘fear’, and ‘hatred’ is what he told himself back then. Okay, so he needed to get angry, he could do that. He had plenty to get angry about. His whole life, people like Bakugo, the death of his mom, and most importantly, his own failures. With negatives thoughts being the only thing occupying Izuku’s mind he felt something akin to a heat bubbling under his skin, so he just had to let that out when he throws his punch.
With that in mind a similar fire like energy erupted from Izuku’s arm as it flickered with an unrefined red and black flame. The flame transformed into a blue and black colors as the blow landed on his teacher’s hand.
At first nothing had happened then about two seconds later the energy erupted out of Izuku’s hand in a delayed impact.
“I did it!”
“Good job, but your control’s sloppy and the flow of the energy is all wrong. We’ll fix that with training though. There are different ways of training, but I’ll have you do one that’s pretty tiring.” Gojo explained getting to the point to correct his student.
“W-what kind?”
“Movie marathon!” The teacher smiled as he held up a collection of movies ranging from recent hits to old classics.
“A movie… marathon… huh?!”
-
Eight student gathered on a field within school grounds and began to discuss their next course of action. The five first year students payed close attention to their three upper class men as they were eager to learn everything they could from the more experienced students.
“Alright, so our ‘sports festival’ is nothing like UA’s so don’t get your hopes up. It isn’t a big event and the teachers are mostly responsible for ours internships afterwards. But, our sports festival is typically a bunch of one on one fights, so it would be best to prep you guys for that.” Mora, the second year representative asserted, getting the meeting started.
“How would that work with five of us? And are there only three second years?”Nishikawa questioned his upper class man.
“Nah, there’s four of us. But the other guy is like, super good at everything. He like went ahead of us and got his provisional license last year. So he is totes off saving the day with another hero right now. I’m Camie Utsushimi B T dubs”. As the second year introduced herself, the third second year with purple hair sighed and muttered some insult under his breath.
Following the explanation Mora spoke up again and introduced the guy with purple hair as Seiji Shishikura. Mora continued the conversation by revealing that one would just have to have a bye round where they don’t participate.
They then went into how they would divide up to assist in training the first years. Mora would focus on quick thinking making sure the underclassmen would not hesitate in combat by keeping them on the defensive.
Utsushimi would use her illusion quirk to assist in specialized training for each first year by creating a fake scenario for them to work through individually.
Finally Shishikura would help the students with perception and determining whether to take or avoid a blow, as that could lead to a decisive victory.
The second years began the drills and split up the first years as they all jumped into the training with enthusiasm. Yoarashi specifically making a remark on the “beautiful execution” of the exercises. Which caused Shishikura to retort talking him to thank Mora for the plan.

“Movie marathon?” Izuku asked as he followed his teacher over to a couch sat in front of a coffee table and television. Gojo then dropped a large pile of movies onto the coffee table before turning to his student.
“Yup. From masterpieces, to hero movies, to crappy French horror movies. It’s gonna be non-stop as long as you’re awake… Of course, you’re not just gonna watch them.” The hero paused his explanation and Izuku became confused as he began to sweat, hoping he wouldn’t have to fight and watch movies simultaneously.
“You’re gonna watch them with this guy!” Gojo pulled out a snoring stuffed bear sporting boxing gloves.
“What’s the doll for?” Izuku asked as her grabbed said doll.
“It’s a support item I used to help get better control over my quirk back in high school”. The comment cause the teen to look at the plush in awe, but he was still confused.
“Wait. So how’s it gonna help me?”
“Just give it a second.”
Suddenly the stuffed bear punched Izuku square in the face. The teen recoiled in shock as he dropped the animal. He then grabbed his face and grumbled about his nose.
“If you don’t constantly supply the bear with energy, it’ll wake up and attack you like that. As I said earlier you got a bunch of movies at your disposal. They can make your heart throb, make you anxious and excited, you can cry laugh, and feel damn nauseous.” The blindfolded hero explained with dramatic movements to emphasize his points.
“First, watch one full movie without waking up the stuffed bear, and without getting hurt. This is training to a constant output of energy to prevent that gigantic delay like earlier. You can’t emit too much or too little or else you get punished”. As Gojo explained Izuku picked up the squirming plush and began to follow the instructions causing the bear to still and continue snoring.
“Right now it’s set to a minimal amount of energy required that even you can emit, but gradually it’ll demand more and more energy so you gotta keep up with it and never lose focus. Okay?”
“If it keeps acting like this, I don’t think I could lose focus if I tried.” Izuku annoyingly spit out while glaring at the stuffed bear in his hands.
“What do you wanna start with?” Izuku looked at his teacher as Gojo asked the question while setting up the dvd player.
“I recommend this, the heroine irritates me but she goes down valiantly in the end.” Gojo held up a case to show who student who just complained about spoilers.
“I’ll start with an All Mig-“ Izuku was cut off by the bear punching him in the face. As a result he frustratingly threw the bear to the ground and let out a curse.
“Even if you’re irritated keep the energy constant”.

Some students were taking a break and sitting down watching Yoarashi and Shishikura ducking it out in the middle of the field.
“Have any of you thought of using support items or weapons?” Mora turned to the four resting first years.
“Support items? Weapons?” The collective question came from the first years.
“They can totes save you in a pinch.” Utsushimi added.
“Nishikawa probably wouldn’t need any because he can make his own weapons and defenses, but the rest of you can’t really amplify your hand to hand with your quirks. It wouldn’t hurt to look into it.” Mora explained attempting to help his underclassmen.
“Then I’d have to change my costume to hold any weapons.” Murasaki complained while thinking the idea over. She eventually grumbled out “Not a terrible idea though”.
“Thanks for the tip”. The blue haired Umi thanked their upperclassman for the idea. As she was already thinking of support items to benefit her and her quirk.
“No problem. Got any other questions don’t hesitate to ask”.
Silence fell over the group as they began watching the brawl in the middle of the field once again. Meguro however began thinking.
The evil voice that had come out of Midoriya had said he was wasting his potential. Maybe he just needs to think outside the box?
Meguro picked up a small rock at his feet and summoned a small shadow rabbit at his side. He handed the rock to the rabbit and then dissolved the creation back into his shadow. To his pleasant surprise, the rock had disappeared along with the rabbit cause Meguro to smirk.
“I don’t think storage is gonna be a problem.”
-
“Which wire should I cut?! Red or blue?!”
“… Long ago, in the designated trash area where I used to live, you know…”
“Hey, hey, what kind of story are you telling at a time like this?”
Even though the dialogue seemed absurd Izuku remained focused on the television as he got more and more into the movie. He took a long sip from the can of soda he held in his hand from his position sprawled across the couch.
“The plastic trash was in a red bad and the combustibles were in a blue one. I thought ‘isn’t it the opposite’. That’s right it’s red! Usually it’s red!”
Suddenly Izuku received a harsh punch to the face from the stuffed bear that had been in his hand. The blow made the teen spit out his drink and start coughing.
“Don’t do it when I’m drinking coke!”
“Don’t drink will you. You think this was gonna be easy.” Gojo spoke from behind his student. Izuku looked back at his teacher in embarrassment as he was unaware that he had been in the room.
“It’s kinda hard to watch a movie with a snack or a drink…”
“Eh true. Well then, I have stuff to do! So keep it up okay?” The teacher waved his student off in encouragement.
“Is this actually helping?” The teen grumbled as Gojo began to walk away.
“Oh right.” The blindfolded hero stopped turning back around to look at his student.
“Did you talk to Sukuna when you were dead.”
“Talk?”
“Did he make any conditional offers or contracts to heal your heart?”
“Oh… I have a feeling we talked about it but, I don’t remember.”
“… I see”
Notes:
I haven’t abandoned this, I’m just lazy. And took forever to start working on this chapter.
So I talk about a little in this chapter but to elaborate I don’t really want to bring cursed energy in at all. So I explain it as energy the comes from emitter quirks as at the basis they are quirks that work through emitting energy.
So things later down the line like black flash or domain expansion would be specific to people with emitter quirks. That might not sit right but it was the way I could think to make it work.
Also I’m not going to bring every character from jjk into the mha world as the stories are separate right now but I plan to bring them together. While some people from jjk will not physically appear (besides a select few) some will be here in spirit, similar to how Megumi is actually in the story but he basically is.
Anyway thanks for reading I appreciate all feedback!
