Work Header

I should be having fun.

Summary:

Lasgol had never really enjoyed festivals.

Notes:

hi, yeah, been a while since i posted but life has hit me like a metaphorical punch in the gut, i might come back later to edit it to ok-ness but no promises.

Work Text:

I was never one for theme parks.

Lasgol stood staring at the small competitions in the village, they'd never really appealed to him.

Forced fun with the kids before dark.

Urf had encouraged him to compete but he'd declined. He always did.

Hate the lines but the worst part are the rides.

He felt the eyes of his fellow villagers on his back, he knew the only reason they let him stay was because of Urf.

It's a capitalist frenzy.

Lasgol states with curiosity at the food at each stall, there were a few interesting ones this year. Was that a boar head?

Ten dollars for an ice cream.

He shuddered as he wondered how much it must cost.

Seems when I get up high to the top.

My brain it let's me down before the drop.

The axe throwing competition was begginning and Lasgol hurried out of the way of the villagers that outcast him the second things went wrong.

Strapped me in too tight, i can't get off.

The first axe hit the target and it made him wince at the sound of cracking wood.

Hey, is it too late to make it stop.

The first competitor's aim was off. They were disqualified.

First they take you up the track, build you up then take it back.

The second competitor stepped up to the throwing line where they would throw the axes from.

Everybody else will laugh.

Lasgol heard the laughter of everyone around him, but kept his head down as the cheering for the next participent began.

Roller coasters make me sad.
