Chapter Text

(Years later after the end of Naraku)
Kagome died from trying to save herself and her baby while fighting a horde of yokai, and after receiving a fatal injury, she and her baby that is still in her womb died.

Inuyasha who is on a mission with the taijiya, rush back home but it's already too late. They're already gone. With the lost of his wife and child, he's starting to lose himself, yet with his pack by his side he tried to get over it.

But, they are still human, time itself is the one that will take them. With only one left of his original pack, it's not enough to stop him from falling feral.

Two centuries later
Inuyasha appear on a battlefield between yokais and went into rampage, killing hundreds, thousands of demons.

13 days of nonstop massacre, turning the lands red with blood, Sesshomaru finally take action and end the life of one Inu hanyou

Zero is looking at his side where his parents are lying on the floor without any life. He feel hurt, betrayed, and grief.

Shizuka Hio, a pureblood vampire princess, came to their home led by his brother, killed their parents, biting him to curse him, and taking Ichiru (his twin) with her.

He tried to stand up but his whole body is hurting and burning. He look at the open door leading to outside, then drag his self outside toward the snow covered ground.

He lie down with his back on the snowy ground and look up at the dark sky. 'it would be pretty if the sky have at least the crescent moon' is his last thought before he lost consciousness.

(Time skip)

Sitting on a tree branch, not visible to others, Zero watch the day class loss their mind over those blood sucker. It make him irritated but also curious of what kind of disaster it would be if he leave them all alone. Would those rabid fangirls/boys pounce or would those bloodsucker finally show their fangs.

No matter how funny it would be or how relieve he would be not to care about them anymore, job is still a job and Zero didn't want to listen to the nagging of the idiotic father and daughter duo.

Minutes later, the gate separating the night class and day class open. And finally the night class appear. Of course, every deck has it's own joker. Hanabusa Aidou, one of the noble vampire attending Cross Academy, start his shenanigans again and the banshee 'how idiotic everyone is?' react as always.

Then there's King of this whole bloodsucker, Kuran Kaname. They, who are the most powerful, a Pureblood, vampire above vampires. 'The same one as that onna'

Zero glance at Cross Yuki, daughter of the headmaster of this school, his adopted sister and also his partner, who is having a hard time controlling the whole rabid fan girls and seen how she was push hardly that she fall. He jump down from the tree to go finally help herding the annoying brats when he see Kuran went ahead helping Yuki.

'Too naive'

Zero thought, watching Yuki being an idiot.

Zero snatch Kuran hand away from Yuki when he try again to reach on her.

"Class is starting

....

Kuran"

"You're scaring me, Mr. Prefect" And then he walk away with the others.

'Fuck that bullshit' Zero only glare.

'Tsk.'

And when the night class are finally gone

'Now as for those idiots' Zero address the remaining day class.

"Listen up brats! Get the hell back to your dorms! Why do I have to deal with you running around screaming, going "kya", "kya" every damn day!? Why!?"

And there they go

Cross Academy, the only school that support the coexistence of both human and vampire.

This is where Yuki and Zero became the guardian, who not only protect the day class from the night class but to also make sure that the secret of vampire stay as a secret.

It's night once again, the night class are on their classes

and

Zero is once again looking at the moon.

Ever since the chairman returned with him 4 years ago, he never respond to anything other than to stare at the moon, otherwise, he is uncaring, and so cold.

There's something also different about him everytime he look at the moon. Zero who seem to see a very different world that the moon can only show to him, became so peaceful. His face soften, the air around him was so calm, and his guard that is always up came down. But of course he doesn't show this so often.

"Zero?" Yuki called

"So how is Kaname Kuran, YoUr HeRo, doing tonight?" And the jerk is back

"It-it-it-it-its not like I was only lookin-"

"forget it"

"wha-"

"I'm going on patrol"

.....

Yuki can only watch Zero leave noticing how he suddenly became tense and edgy.

Before Yuki can call out to Zero once again she see two day class students breaking curfew. She sign as she jump all the way down from the balcony to the ground where the day class is

"You two! I want your name and your class! Wandering around after dark is strictly prohibited under school regulations! It's very dangerous, please return to your dorm immediately!"

"We just came to take photos of the night class students. What the hell is your problem?" One of them reply before Yuki notice the other one is bleeding.

She panic knowing that the smell of blood will surely make the night class smell it "You're bleeding!? This is really bad... Quick! get back to the dorms!" She said as she urge them to hurry.

But then, she suddenly felt it. She quickly take out Artemis and swing but was caught by Akatsuki Kain, one of the night class. "how scary.... I'd expect nothing less from the chairman's foundling"

The two girls became excited meeting two night class. Hanabusa Aidou, another night class, then commented about smelling blood and it being a lovely scent.

He step forward before Yuki warn him "Aidou! If you dare lay a finger on either one of them.... I won't....forgive...." Yuki stutter to a stop when he suddenly came forward and take ahold of her hand. She belatedly notice that he was talking about her blood before her hand was yank closer to his mouth

" Yuki..... You really are tempting me..." Then he proceed to pierce his fang on her palm, tasting her blood 'this is really bad' Yuki thought struggling to free herself.

Seeing these, the two day class students faint from shock, discovering who they are fan girling is a vampire.

"I want more.... Can I take it from your neck?"   "D-D-Don't you dare!! Let me go!! Aidou!!" Before Aidou can get any further, a barrel of gun was suddenly pointed at his head

"Oi... drinking blood while on school ground is strictly prohibited. Or are you finally showing your true nature, vampire" Zero said coldly

"Oh...?"

"Zero, don't!!"

"It was just a taste" BANG!!! "wh-"

"Idiot! Why did you shoot!?" Yuki barely save Aidou from Zero before he shoot him with his gun by shoving it upward

Zero being pissed off barely control his growl from coming out. It feels like his territory is being threatened, Yuki may not be his, but she is his sister and someone dare to hurt her in his presence, in his own territory, feel like they are mocking him, insulting him, challenging him.

He doesn't know when and how this thought and feeling came up but he doesn't dwell on it too much. His body tense on a possible fight, his body heating, fang threatening to came out, he wanted to snarl, to pounce on them, but before he can act, Kuran Kaname came out

"It's called 'The Bloody Rose'..... You should be more careful, Aidou. It was made to kill creature like us." Kuran said as he held Aidou in his collar on the back like a disobedient cat/dog.

Zero knew that Aidou is His(Kuran). He know that he cannot win with Kuran, a Pureblood. Hurting Aidou is like a challenge to Kuran authority and territory. 'Not yet,' he thought. He's still weak. He will lose and it will feel like this place, this Cross Academy, cannot be a place where he can stay anymore. Like a beast winning a territory and the loser having to leave, he will lose his territory.

"Well then... I'll take care of these fools. The chairman will need a full report. It's that ok... kiryu?"

"Tsk... Do whatever you want, just get them out of my sight, Kuran"

While Kuran begin to reprimand Kain, Zero turn to Yuki, grab her hand and then bandage it using his necktie and he suddenly leave them be. Aware that there are eyes following him

"wha-"

Zero know that even if he considered Yuki as his sister, she is not pack, Kuran Kaname has his sight on Yuki, and she will definitely choose Kuran. Kuran is powerful, he will never let anyone hurt her so he knew even without him, Yuki is protected. It grate on his nerve but it's the whole truth.

Watching his departure, Kuran knew that something is very strange with Kiryu, before he show his presence here, he'd seen Zero like a territorial beast ready to pounce on Aidou for crossing his territory. And he seem he doesn't care to control it at all, uncaring if others find out what he is untill I finally show my presence that he snap in control.

Outside the gate of Cross Academy, two silhouette can be seen standing in front of the gate

"Are you sure he is here?" A woman voice ask

"I felt his presence here. There's also his smell, no matter how weak it is, I cannot be mistaken on that smell even though there's some changes" a man answered as he walk closer to the gate but the woman stop him

"Even though we can finally meet him, we cannot still go. We still need to learn more about this place and about him my dear." She put her hand on his shoulder then stare inside the gate with excitement and longing for the one in there. "I know your excited to meet him again but let take it slow, we don't want to destroy the peace he have here by suddenly appearing in his life now, do we?" She said as she nod her head toward the gate then two wolves appeared behind their back then jump toward the gate

".... Fine my love.... But do we really need to report this to him? He's a fucking bastard" He whine as they turn around to walk away

"Oh sush my dear, he's the one who told us and send as here, atleast he has the right to know we find him"

"And if he hurt him?"

She grin showing her fangs as she replied "then there will be bloodpath, this time I won't stop you, I will gladly come with you"

He bark out a laugh, grin with all fangs, bloodlust and lust rolled on him as he kiss her deeply "this is why I love you, my love" they laugh as they disappear on the night

It's near that time again, held once a year, one crazy time.

After saving some idiotic student from falling off the wall, and making the whole female population became his enemy by declaring banning valentine day, he walk away. And now he's here in the stable lying beside White lily, the beautiful horse who was violent to others but himself.

He was just laying in a clean hay taking his time to take a nap when the horses suddenly became agitated, something is out there, he can feel it then it was suddenly gone. He waited.... and he relax as the horses around him settle down.

He stand up then pat lily on its head saying goodbye as he march out intend to look for it, the things that can spook a horses are predators. I didn't feel any vampire, maybe it was just a wild animal but the woods within the academy is free from predators ' not vampire though' to protect the student, so I need to find what it is.

I walk deeper in the woods when I suddenly felt it, something is staring at me, I whirl around then was suddenly staring directly in the eye of a wolf. I widen my eye not expecting a wolf within the academy. Even if there was any, they would have flee considering that this place is full of vampires.

It was a majestic brown wolf, bigger than a regular one and it's eyes are amber. It was observing me, we stay like that for a minute and it then try to approach. I can see in it's eye that it's not going to attack, I know that I should scare it away but I feel familiar to this wolf. Then came another one, this one is a white wolf with green eyes.

They both approach as I crouch down to their level meeting them face to face. The first was within my reach and I stretch my hand to him, it's a boy, it sniff my hand then bump his nose in my hand as his tail start to wag. I chuckle as the other one also came bumping his nose to my side. I put my hand on their heads starting to pet them when they start getting excited and start playing with me. I know that this is weird, no animal 'except for White lily' get close to someone like me so suddenly, but who cares.

We stay like that playing until I notice that it was getting dark, I start to stand up when I suddenly feel thirsty. I gasp as I held my neck, wanting to claw at it when the two wolves make a sound drawing my attention to them. We stare for a minute and I'm sure my eyes start turning red. They stare and it seem they suddenly learn something, went and run away. That's right they should run away.

I stumble to the tree, resting my back as I slide down on its roots. I gasp, breathing deeply trying to calm me down. ' it's finally happening, I know it won't be long before I finally fall '

It take time for me before I take control and the sudden bloodlust subside when the two wolves suddenly show up once again, and this time I was shock when one suddenly approach and drop something on my lap. "Wha-" it was a white bunny, a trembling and alive white bunny. I stare at it, trembling like it know it's end is approaching, and I stare dumbly at the two wolves who look like a proud children doing something good and waiting for a praise.

What the fuck!?

I chuckle then start barking out a laugh, I laugh so hard there are tear hanging in my eye as I try to calm down, after some minute I did, wipe out my tears and stand up holding the bunny carefully on my chest.

"Thanks for the gift you two but I don't want it"I said and smile softly at them while patting both their head.

I lift up the bunny Infront of my face and rub our nose together "shh....shh.... It's ok little one, I will not hurt you" I comfort and hug her(it's a girl) gently and caress her soft fur with my hand.

After some minute of petting the bunny, I put her down on the ground and look at the two wolves warningly. "You can go now little one, those two will not hurt you." I try push her gently but she just stare up at me without moving at all.

'Well.... I better just get out of here, she can go back on her own as long as we get away' I though as I beckon the two wolves to follow. Those two know how to follow orders. As we walk away I heard hopping behind me, I look behind then see that the bunny is following me also

'......... well I don't know what to think anymore......' I try to walk away again then look back ' yep, that one is following me' "you're also not afraid of me little one" I crouch down waiting for the bunny to hop on my arm (and she did) and hug her to my chest, standing up I look at the two wolves "let's go then, we cannot stay here forever" then I lead them toward the chairman house, no way I'm going to lead them toward the dorm. They can stay in the woods near the chairman.

I don't know why I'm putting a lot of trust in this two wolves not being a danger to anyone(they are dangerous) but they will behave, I just feel it, they will listen to me.

It's the time for crossover again but this time the whole day class who always come are in perfect line in a booths.

The reason is.....

It's valentine day!!!

The day where the girls can give their chocolate to the person they like, friends or anyone who they want to give theirs to.

Zero is looking at everything with a bored expression when the gate to the night class finally open, the whole crowd get excited then Yuki start explaining the mechanic of today's event.

While everything is going on, Zero sees something fall on Yuki's pocket when some other girl push her. He went and pick it up and he knows instantly who's it for. "Kuran!" he then throw it to him "you dropped that"

Yuki then notice what zero did"Huh!? Ah....when did.... Zero!"

"I accept. Thank you, Yuki"

"S-sure!"

When Kuran finally leave, Yuki start hitting Zero "How dare you just give it to Kaname like that! I could kill you right now! And why are you gone last night and this morning too!? You lazy ass!"

"You were going to wimp out! I saw you! Oww!" He defended not answering the last question

"Because he probably don't want it anyway....."she pout

While Yuki start saying something, Zero suddenly felt it again, the sudden thirst. He left quickly toward the woods without being notice by anyone

except for Shiki, who is looking at Zero with curiosity

Zero stagger into the woods collapsing in a tree trying to maintain his balance when he call out "I know your there. Come out, whoever you are" then came a 1st year girl who he remember saving some time ago

"Kiryuu.... I wanted to thankyou for saving me. And since today you're supposed to thank people with chocolate.... this.... I made it myself....."

"Go away"

"Huh!?.... But I...."

"Forget about it....Go away! Now!"

"S-sorry!" The girl squeek and run away.

A minute after the girl was gone, two wolves show themselves beside Zero. They seem to be guarding him as he stagger to walk deeper into the woods. Walking side by side, they didn't mind the predator that is struggling with thirst, guarding him and following him so loyally, putting so much trust to this beast they are walking with.

The veil of night is falling

Their time is approaching

Vampire. This is what they called the beast, a predator who thirst for blood.

The night class are all in their class room doing whatever they do when Ichijo Takuma notice Shiki looking into the wood outside the window. It's not his normal behavior so he became worried

"Shiki? Is there something wrong"
The other night class also notice this, as they listen they got intrigue by what Shiki's reply, Kuran Kaname also got curious

"Kiryu.... His smell is changing" he then put his hand on the glass window "he usually smell like lilac, lavender, gun and powder.... but now there's the smell of forest and land..... It so soothing"

"Tsk why do we care about what he smell, he probably just stay too much in the forest that he already smell like that" Aidou refute clearly irritated when it come to Kiryu Zero

"Hmm... No.... It's not the forest surrounding Kiryu, but the forest is his natural smell surrounded by wild lavender, and lilac" as Shiki was explaining, Kuran Kaname got intrigue in this changes.
'is it some result of his going through the "changes"? Even if it is, the smell of a turned vampire should not be as soothing like what Shiki is explaining. The taste and smell are connected. Turned vampire are not palatable at all, yet what Shiki is explaining is the opposite'

Kuran then turn toward the forest outside the window 'Kiryu Zero, maybe I don't know you as much as I thought'

In a faraway land, a different world, there is a castle floating in the sky covered by cloud. Inside the castle live a very beautiful woman. She has pointed ears, slanted golden eyes with slit pupils, and long silver hair that is always tied up in pigtails with short bangs. She has a violet crescent moon on her forehead, a small magenta lightning-like stripe on each cheek, a matching stripe on each eyelid, purple lipstick, short fangs in her mouth, and magenta-sharpened nails on each digit.

The beautiful woman name is Inukimi, mother of Sesshomaru.

Inukimi is looking into a mirror where she watch his son, still as cold as his heart can be, look into his own territory.

She remember the time she went to visit her son in his territory. Without anything to care for, (the child he'd taken care of a long time ago died already and the only one left by his side is that imp) being the powerful daiyokai in the land, left him with no one to contend with, he viewed the world so monochromatic. It gave her the image where once he get tired in this dull world, he might as well just destroy it for all it's worth.

"Such a dreary life your living Sesshomaru, does living cannot give you anymore to engrossed your self with?" She said as she land beside his son who's standing in a cliff overlooking the western land

"What are you doing here.....mother?"

"Can your mother not visit her son for once?, Ever since you killed your brother, the life in your eyes seems had gone away with him. He seem to be the only one who can give you the thrill of a fight you are looking for..... "

"...."

"That human girl you've taken under your wing had been gone for centuries already, there's no one who can hold you back anymore and the continues dull life your leading might as well explode, turn this world in hell for all it worth"

"What are you really after, spouting those words, you seem to have something to offer me" he finally replied as he face his mother

She chuckle as she watch her son aloofness and indifference face getting annoyed by the way she is stalling. Messing with her son is really fun.
"Our kind is so few, specially us shiro inu, there are only you and me. So....... I may have saved the soul of one of the last shiro inu, watch it to be finally reborn waiting until his yokai blood to be awaken"

On her word, he just narrow his eye on her

She smile and she cover her lip with a fan as her eye twinkle with amusement "His life is so interesting, it won't be long before his yokai blood will awaken. Centuries pass, don't you think it's time for our kin to be retrieve" she laugh as she transform and fly away, going back to her castle.

She smile remembering that time, her son's eyes shows his yokai who seem to be in slumber, stirring to awake. A beast who've fallen asleep from the dullness will wake up once someone worthy of it's attention came up.

'Toga, that precious child, the last gift your first child failed to treasure and protect, he might be the only one who can save Sesshomaru from his own destruction'

'Gasp'.... Waking up from a nightmare Zero sit up as he look into his surrounding, he is in cave behind a waterfall near the edge of Academy's property, he seem to have walk so far away. Beside him are the two wolves awaken from his movement.

He pet them before standing up, he need to go back, but he also need to get away.

As he start to make way out of the cave, the two wolves suddenly get alert and became excited. He doesn't know what is going on when he suddenly felt something coming closer so fast. It doesn't feel human nor does it feel vampire, but its powerful, stronger than those level B nobles. 'I don't know what it is, but it's not human at all.' he got tense and ready his bloody rose. Then suddenly Infront of him is a young man, tall, tanned skin, blue eyes, and black hair (something is missing). He grin as he face me "yo, mutt face, it's good to see your alive"

Inside the night dorm, in his own quarter, Kuran Kaname felt something inhuman enter the Academy. He narrowed his eyes when he cannot identify what has entered his domain.

The usual happy go lucky chairman also felt something enter the academy, his silly smile was gone and was replace by a serious expression as he look outside the window in his office

"Who are you!?" Zero demand as he pointed his gun at the guy

The guy frown when Zero gave the question. "Seriously mutt face? You can't really remember me?"

Zero felt this guy is so familiar, it feels like he once was close to this person insulting him with name, now that he remember he is being insulted he became irritated and was shock when he blurted "Fuck off dog breath! It's not like I want to remember your ugly face!" it came so natural that he'd seen himself(?) often bicker with this person....no.....Koga

He stagger backward and put his hand on his head from the sudden migraine that came with the memory 'is it my memory?'

"Wha-what is happening.....? Koga?" He ask as he stare back at this ma...no Koga

"Heh.... Seem like ya still remember me. Don't worry everything will come back, no need to rush thing. I came running here when my underlings alert me something is happening to ya" He said as he went closer to support Zero back

Zero sat back and try to comprehend what the hell is happening. "Ok, let get this short and straight, I know you - well not much, you know me, but I don't know how, yet it happen. What the hell!?"

"Hahaha....yeh, shit happen and the only thing we need to do is roll with it."

"....."

"You know what, I don't care anymore. I need to go back and do some shit job before I lost my mind"

He stand up then pick up the bloody rose that was drop before making his way "oh yeah let's meet in the town, get the hell away from here right now because this place is that bastard domain"

"Hoh. I thought this place is your territory? You would never stay in a territory of others specially if you seem to not like it"

"Not completely. Just get lost, we'll talk later."

Zero then proceed to leave and went back toward the dorm.

Once he came back, he showered and change then went to the chairman office. While walking in the hallway, he meet Kuran Kaname followed by Ruka Souen. He tried to ignore them but Kuran suddenly call for him. "Kiryuu... How are you feeling?" Zero was startled being address so suddenly

"....."Zero only stay silent. He know very well what the bastard mean.

Kuran only smile on his silent, "take care now....."he continued as they went away leaving zero back on the hallway.

Zero balled his fist as he walk fast toward the chairman. He push the door forcefully as he strode toward the chairman "I need a pass to leave the school ground" "wha-Zer-" the chairman was shock on Zero's demand and before he can ask why "I need to meet someone" he was cut off. The chairman got flustered by the urgency on Zero's voice that he gave him the pass, while Zero snatch it so quickly then leave.

Zero feels like he's being suffocated in this school, just want to get away quickly before he do something he will regret. He went to grab his motorcycle bike (a gift from his master) and went on a ride toward the town.

On the other side of the campus, Yuki is looking all over the whole school ground searching for Zero. She'd never seen him since yesterday. He never came to class and he's not in his dorm or in the headmaster office, he also doesn't arrive for patrol or the changeover. She's starting to get worry.

Chapter Text

Zero arrive at the town, trying to pinpoint the presence of Koga, and he find him with another presence beside him. This also feel familiar. So he left his bike and went toward the center square.

Arriving, he spot Koga with a young woman. She has pale skin with green eyes, and auburn hair that is tied up into pigtails. She gently smile at him when she seen him approaching them

"It's been a long time, I'm so glad we finally meet once again. You may not remember my name so I'll reintroduce myself, my name is Ayame, wife of Koga" She said as she get close to Zero, raising her hands up, resting it on his face caressing his cheek so gently.

Zero feels so warm, he close his eyes as he lean closer to her hand. "I know. My name is Zero. And I still don't understand why the fucking hell did you choose the dog breath, your too good for him" he said so playfully

"Your fucking damn right she's too good for me. But she's fucking damn right Mine" Koga answer so proudly without any shame getting a lot of look from the passerby by his profanities.

Ayame just rolled her eyes as she then gently take Zero's hand guiding them to find a place to sit.

Not far away from them, Shiki, Rima, and Takuma were surprise to see Zero with someone acting so close and differently not unlike his cold and indifference attitude toward the day and night class.

"What an interesting thing that we've witness, it seem like Kiryu-kun is very different today." Takuma happily said while also questioning what they have just witness.

While Shiki frown a little "they don't feel like human" he commented as he went and follow the three who enter a cafe, beside him is Rima who just shrug and follow also

"Wait! Shiki! Rima!" He called as he also went and follow the two.

As for Zero he felt the night class in the beginning, but being overwhelmed by familiarity, warm hand and memory, he ignored them.

They sit down inside the cafe as they ordered some desert, refreshments and coffee, "So Zero, want to tell us how you're doing?" Ayame ask

Zero look up from his tea, instead of answering, "do you know?" (What I am?) He ask, not vocalizing the last one.

The two soften "we know, but not everything" Ayame answer softly

"It's not like it will change anything once you come back"

Zero got confuse of what Koga said "Come back?"

"Well, to the place where we truly belong of course" Koga replied grinning while Ayame just smack him in his arm

"Well that's if, it is what you want. But..." She glare at Koga before continuing "if you wish to stay, we respect your choice. This is your home (now) after all"

".....I....I don't understand. What are you talking about?"

"You may still not remember it but, this place, we don't truly belong here. This is a world where our kind don't exist. Different beings live in here along with your human."

"Our kind? What the fucki-"
before he can continue, he stop, noticing the three presence get close to them

"Hello Kiryu-kun, sorry for disturbing you and your companions. It seem that Shiki and Rima are both curious on your friends." Takuma Ichijo smile apologetically while also trying two usher the two model to leave noticing the serious atmosphere

"Oh my, it ok, we're also curious on all the people around our Zero-chan" Ayame smile sharply that her fangs is peeking out as she stand up to face the trio. "I am Ayame one of the friends of our Zero" she introduce

"Yo, the name's Koga" said Koga as he also acknowledge the others

"It's our pleasure to meet you" Takuma greet brightly "I am Takuma Ichijo, this is Shiki Senri and Rima Toya." He introduce

She chuckle as she lean closer flashing her fangs "so you're the vampires our dear Zero's guarding?"

Shiki tilt his head "you're not human"

Shock by their bluntness, Takuma worriedly glance around him weary on any eavesdropper and tried to talk but was stop when Zero stand up. "Ayame" he warned, then turn toward them "Ichijo senpai, I think it time for the night class to return"

"I - yes. Shiki, Rima let's go now. I apologize lady Ayame, sir Koga. We will go now" he ushered the two to leave and Zero plan to escort them when Koga called out

"Zero!" He stop "call us if you ever need help"

"We meant it Zero. We'll never leave you alone ever again"

Looking out the window, watching Yuki and Zero doing their patrol on the school ground, Kaname listen to Takuma reporting about the event in the town

"Kaname?" Takuma question when he stay silent for too long

"Those two who Zero met, you said they're not human." He then saw the member of inner circle going to where Zero is, "are they vampires?"

"I... don't know"

On the other side Zero is suffering another bloodlust again, when he suddenly draw his gun and pointed it to the arriving party "What do you want? Night class."

"Why is Kaname-sama so interested in this human? I can't stand it" Ruka sneer

"There's no point getting jealous, Ruka. The same goes for the rest of you. If Kaname-sama find out about this, he'll be furious" Kain tried to diffuse the coming fight "hey Kiryuu, you should put that away too" and before he can step too close, Zero grab his arm and throw him on his back

"Heh... So Kaname Kuran....is the reason why you've suddenly all decided to gang up and take me down?" He look up smirking as he crack his hand "I'd like to see you try vampires. I've been waiting for a chance like this." Before anything else could happen, out of nowhere, growls were suddenly heard and two big wolves leap out, surrounding Zero, circling him protectively

Everyone was shock and back away immediately when the two appear

Then also came Yuki "Stop right there!! No fighting allo-ah-wha..." She stammer and nearly trip when she see the big wolves around Zero, still growling and ready to rip out anyone who come any closer.

"Zero...t-those are...wha-what are wolves doing here!?"

The wolves just growl louder when Yuki raise her voice, she shut up immediately hearing it.

Zero glare at everyone. He also feel a headache coming up, what's with everything turning into chaos so rapidly. Fuck it. He turn around, determine to leave this place, even if it's just for a minute, the wolves also follow his move.

"Wait Zero!" He tried to ignore it when suddenly came of course fucking Kuran Kaname and on his heel running closer was also the chairman, because why fucking not? It seem like every fucking single person in this damn place seems to agree on a place and time to disturb the night of one precious Zero.

'Fuck! Just fucking leave me alone' he grit when another wave of bloodlust hit him again. He bit his lip trying not to stumble and suppress a groan from coming out.

"Kiryuu, seems like you have an interesting.... friends" Kuran said, staring at the two wolves.

The wolves with their superior instinct know that the predator looking at them is powerful. Even if they sacrifice themselves, they can never protect Zero from him. They growl lowly, backing slowly, watching every single move the predator is doing.

Zero, fighting for control, back away slowly when the wolves nudge him, bringing him along with them to retreat. Stumbling back, he rest his back into a tree, putting his hand on his throat, panting so deeply.

"Zero-kun!!" The chairman called worriedly. The others also notice this sudden change. Yuki look worried and want to get closer but cannot because of the wolves.

And Kuran knows what is happening, he'd seen it coming.

Zero want to get away, he doesn't want to hurt anyone, he knows he cannot control it anymore, his Bloodlust. It won't be long now that he will lose control and attack everyone.

The wolves seeing that there are surrounded and they are being cornered, finally call.

They howl, so loud the others cover they're ears. "What is happening?!" Someone ask

Then suddenly, a small tornado came out of nowhere, separating them to Zero. When it died down, came two figures, Ayame and Koga.

Everyone is shock in the sudden arrival of the two.
"They're from this morning" Rima said. She and Shiki recognize the two.

"Feh! What's this? A party for hell? Let us join will ya!?" Koga said smugly facing the others, and turn his head a little to check on Zero "Oi mutt! Ya fucking look like hell."

With the appearance of Koga and Ayame, Zero ease up a little bit"shut...hah...the.....fuck up flea bag" he says panting. Ayame was suddenly on his side cupping his face

Koga frown hearing the pain in his voice. Then the chairman step forward, face smiling and inviting seeing that they are here for Zero, he tried being friendly, hiding the fact he's worried for Zero. "Oh hello! Are you Zero's friends? I'm so happy Zero's friends came for a visit. I'm Zero-kun adopted father, Cross Kaien. May I know your name?"

Koga stare at him weirdly "Oi mutt face, this ninggen is weird. Well ya always have the hobby of taking stray or the weird one as part of your Pack." He got curious look from the word pack. Zero only huff annoyed. "The name's Koga, and that's Ayame" he point backward to Ayame who is busy soothing Zero like a mother fussing around her child.

Everyone was surprise and Kaname look intrigue with how Zero is acting around them, obediently being fuss around and leaning so comfortably around the woman's hold. It is so different with how he normally act.

Yuki also look so shock with how Zero is acting. Never in her entire life, ever since Zero first arrive 4 years ago did he act like this, so closely and openly infront of anyone. She feel jealous, she's the one who's closest to him (or is she?) yet he never let me in his heart.

They all snap at attention when they all heard Zero whine. Zero open his eyes and everyone gasp in surprise

"Vampire!?" Aidou startledly ask. Murmurs broke out among the vampires.

Eyes glowing blood-red....

But something is different, his pupil turn slit, jagged purple stripes appeared on his cheeks, and his fangs and claws lengthened.

"Oh Fuck Shit!" Koga quickly appear infront of Zero. With his neck firmly grasp within one clawed hand, Koga slam him so hard on the tree while Ayame back away

"Zero!!! What are you doing to Zero!?" Yuki run closer when she was block by the two wolves and Kaname putting his hand on her shoulder

"Shut it onna! Better ya all get away from here now before he truly lost it"
Kaname became displease by the way he talk to his Yuki

"I think we can handle it fine as long his need for blood is satisfied for-"

"It's good if it's just thirst for blood! That's maybe normal for ya vampire, but we're clearly not just dealing with one" The vampires hiss, furious, how dare this mongrel talk like that to their leader.

"What do you mean by that" the chairman ask worriedly looking at Zero keeping still, growling so deep and low. His eyes so different from the normal vampire.

"What he mean is that Zero is not just an ordinary turn vampire who you are all used dealing with." Ayame answer, taking Koga's previous place, in between them and Zero. "And as for what he truly is, there's no need for you to know" she said coldly

"Oi! Mutt! If you can fucking hear me, better get a hold of yourself." He curse loudly when he was nearly clawed before getting a hold of his wrist and pinned it above his head "shit! He's fucking furious."

"It seem like he doesn't like his vampire side taking control" Ayame observe

"So ya think the vampire side will retreat if it be given what it need"

"Probably" and without further a do, he clawed his own arm offer it to Zero who sink his fangs without any hesitation.

And night class get restless when they smell the blood. The blood itself held power, they can smell it and feel it so clearly. Even Kaname never smelled anything like this. It's not the same or as powerful as Pureblood but the power it held clearly speak to itself.
There's also this conflicted emotion he felt when watching Zero drinking from this person

The glowing red eye recede, turn golden then change back into its lavender color. None of vampire nor the chairman miss it, clearly more confuse and have a lot of questions

While Yuki can only watch stunned
"Wh-.......-at.....?"
'Zero....why is Zero.....?' she stumble back, hands on her mouth

Zero feels like waking up from a hazy dream. He tried focusing on his surrounding and the first thing he notice is the taste of blood in his own lip. He snapped at attention when it register, and the first thing he focus his eyes on is Koga who is infront of him

"Ko....ga?" "Yo, good to see ya back"

Zero look down where he bit in his arm, blood stop flowing out and it's starting to heal already. He lick his lip tasting the remaining blood. The blood itself held power, strength, and something more.

"Sorry" he apologize even though he knows that's it's unnecessary

"Feh. This is nothing. It's just a little blood. You know this is nothing compared to when we spar in the past. But of course I totally wipe your ass" he boast, grinning smugly

Zero snort parting his lip to retort when he snap it shut remembering where he was and who's he with at this moment. He was alarm by all the stares and attention when he look pass Koga.

Cross Kaien, seeing his adopted son finally regain clarity, call for his attention "Zero?"

Zero turn his attention to the chairman, seeing him worried and also anxious to come closer but being block by Ayame and the wolves.

"Chairman" he acknowledged, then he nod toward Ayame who step aside, allowing only the chairman to come closer.

And before he can go to Zero, he first address the others.

"Kaname, could you please escort Yuki back to her dorm. And I think it's time for the night class to go to their own class. I'll wait for you in the office." He finally said, giving Yuki a sad smile then hurriedly go to Zero's side.

Kuran nod to his inner circle to return and went to escort Yuki who is still shock. "Let's go, Yuki" he said gently, hypnotizing her a little for her to follow. He glance back toward Zero who now only look at the chairman, then toward the other intruders before he return his gaze to Yuki escorting her back.

Inside the chairman office, Koga, Zero, and Ayame sit in couch in order with the wolves lying on their feet, along with the chairman they wait until Kaname finally enter the room.

"Thank you Kaname for coming"
Kaname nod as he proceed to stand infront of the chairman.
"Now that everyone is here, a proper introduction should be made. What do you think, Zero" Kaien turn to Zero, knowing that the two beside him somehow care for him greatly, so maybe they would also listen to him if he would ask so.

Zero, understanding what the chairman want, groan in an impending headache that will definitely come. Even though he cannot understand it completely, the two beside him are neither human nor vampire.

Now that he think about it, he snap his attention to Koga beside him. "Oi mangy wolf, what's the fucking hell with your look. I never notice it with the shits happening all around but I remember you not looking so.....human?"

His question was met with a loud boisterous laugh "and here I though ya'll never notice" and with an inward flinch, the two beside him have their human facade dissipate, leaving the two in their inhuman demonic beauty.

Kaien was scandalize by Zero's sudden crude insult toward his friend but when his word finally register, he was met with a very surprising view infront of him.

Kuran also raise his eye on Zero's but when the two suddenly change, he was stun beyond belief. Not only the two change appearance but also their smell and presence that feels like being muffled finally unleash.

Eye pupils becoming slit, ears turning pointy, and tails appearing on their back, swaying lazily. Their appearance become more wild.

"Now that outta way, we don't really give shit to anyone here but since you're part of Zero's pack, though not completely-" he pointedly look at the chairman "and ya feel like the top alpha in this territory" he then stare at Kaname "if Zero doesn't give a shit, then why the fucking hell not."

He grin as he stand, one hand on his hip as he proudly introduce himself
"I'm Koga, a wolf Yokai, King of the wolves."

"And I'm Ayame, the wolf Queen, Koga's mate" Ayame nod in greeting

"Yokai?"Kaname question intrigue

"Yokai, monsters, evil spirits, demons, goblin, oni, etc. Whatever you prefer, it's all the same, a yokai is a yokai." Koga explain dismissively

"But....how....?" Kaien ask in disbelief "there's never been any evidence of their existence, aside from myths, legend, and folklore."

Ayame chuckle "we are as real as your vampires. The only difference is, we are separated (of world that is)."

Kaname noticing the lack on info only narrow his eyes

"And for you to be here? Is it for Zero" Kaien continue to ask, looking at Zero who look like he's so done with the world

"The only thing we are here for is Zero. We don't really care for you ningen, hunter, or vampire." Ayame answer coldly, like how a noble or a Pureblood react to anyone below them. "And the most important and only thing you need to know, Anything and Everything related to Zero will be our business. This is the word of the King and Queen of the wolves." She finish with a threat

Eyes widening, Zero jerk in alarm "Ayame!" He hiss

Kaname and Kaien both notice the threat and they both felt the heaviness and seriousness of these words.

Ignoring Zero, Ayame continue as she stand up with a presence of a regal predator taking a step forward. "We know what the Hunters want, how they saw Zero and their own opinion."

Zero growl wanting to stand up and stop Ayame but was stop by a hand of Koga on his shoulder "Relax mutt face. Let Ayame do her things","she's insane" he growl out

"We thank you, Mr. Kaien Cross, for saving and protecting Zero. But...." Her claw sink so easily on the table scratching it "if those cretin ever think of having any control on Zero's life...." The whole room was suddenly suffocating from bloodlust "let just say, we don't mind some chaos." she grin as the whole bloodlust suddenly disappear.

She then turn toward Kaname "same goes for the vampires. We don't care what Zero is right now, and we will never let anyone have a say on Zero's life. He is free to do whatever he wants." She stare off challengely

The Pureblood frown from this challenge. This was unexpected.....and not appreciated in his plan.

He cannot make a scene, not infront of the chairman, he could not just outright make an enemy who is unknown.

"That doesn't mean he should just do whatever he wants. He's a turn vampire, the humans will be in danger because of him. A turn vampire will loose their reasoning consume by their bloodlust if they're left alone"

Pissed as he was, Zero fully knows that he's a danger, (even though there's a little....tiny.....bitty---oh Fuck it. There's definitely fucking different on who the fucking hell he is right now) staying with the human feel so wrong, acting a human feel so wrong, and living as a human feels very wrong (even though he remember being human for a very short while, there's still something missing in his life)

He sigh closing his eyes "Fuck it, if you want me to transfer in the night class then fine" he shrug Koga's hand off as he stand up to glare directly at Kuran "but don't you ever fucking think I'll be like your noble puppies wagging their tail waiting for your command Kuran" then he turn to leave not caring on bewildered look on Kaname who think that he would put up a fight in transferring or Kaien's surprise of him who easily accept.

Far away from the town, two children look with disinterest as four adult male drop on the ground turning into ashes. Both children, a boy and a girl doesn't seem to mind the smell of blood, death and ashes as they continue to travel on the cold night

Inside the girls dorm, sitting and staring blankly on the window in her room is Yuki. 'Zero is a vampire?' this question repeatedly run through her head as she try hard to comprehend the truth. 'how?' she doesn't know. Zero hate vampires, so how?. She need to know. And without even noticing it, she's already out the dorm running toward the headmaster office.

Back at the office

"Heh! Didn't change a damn thing. Still stubborn and a rebel" Koga comment

"Though he's clearly different person, he didn't really change that much" Ayame reply which grab the attention of both others in the room.

"Seems like you truly are close to Kiryuu-kun to know him so much. But how the King and Queen of wolf Yokai met and know him, considering you yourself said that you don't have a care toward human, hunter or vampire?" Kaname ask curiously and suspiciously

Koga smirk "Heh. Kuran Kaname right? King of the vampire race or something. Well let just say he's a goddamn good fighter with a Fuck up bleeding heart who will even help his own enemy. If he never shown it ya all never truly know him." He then look at both Kaname and the chairman seriously "A lot of us met and exchange claws and sword with him. We all meant to kill him and he the same, yet things happened and he help us. It happen many times that a lot of us just learned and treasured that unique existence." He then stand up walking toward the door followed by Ayame.

They stop "He may not remember everything but everyone remember him clearly. And those who remember, whether it be a friend or a foe will definitely come for him." Then they left, leaving the two stunned, bewildered and curious men.

"I can't believe Kiryuu-kun is a vampire" Kain said in disbelief, breaking the silent in the the living room where all the noble inner circle of Kuran Kaname wait for their leader.

"The attack of Kiryuu family four years ago. I guess he didn't survive it like everyone thought he had" Takuma solemnly said

"No. He didn't. It's probably Hio Shizuka-sama who turned him. So he was turned after all, it was very odd for him to survive when his parents had not." Aidou said after the shock finally settle in

And before they can continue, the door open. Kuran Kaname walk in followed by Seiren.

"Kaname-sama" Takuma greeted, slightly bowing in respect.

Kaname look at them as they wait patiently for him to talk.

"As you all already know, Kiryuu Zero is a turned vampire. We have talk and came into a decision that he will transfer into the night class starting today" he then turn serious, addressing them like he's going to give an order "he's a hunter and also a vampire so I know that this will be hard on both party and be all weary with each other, but I hope that you all stick to the rules, no fighting with the hunter, and no matter how much you want to harm him, you shall not. Understood?"

"Yes, Kaname-sama" they all answer

He then gave one last glance before making his way upstair.

"Ah, about the two guest of Kiryuu. Do not fight with them also."

Minutes later, after their leader has left

"So...... Kiryuu-kun is coming here." Shiki started as he stand up from the couch walking toward the stairs, intend to go back to his room. "Yeah. This should be interesting" Rima continue as she follow while eating a pocky

"Whatever, it's pretty late, I'm going to sleep" Ruka also left

They all agreed, they were all tired, specially from this day's events. They all made their way up to their room.

Outside the moon dorm, stand a certain silver haired hunter vampire wearing a white uniform, beside him is bag and the two wolves waiting patiently. Lilac eye stare at the double door as he unconsciously rub the head of one of the wolf. He sigh and when he think of finally stepping forward, both doors unexpectedly open slowly, and awaiting inside are the Pureblood and the vice president, Ichijo Takuma.

"Welcome to the night class, Kiryuu-kun."

"What's the meaning of this headmaster!? Why did you send Zero to the night class?" Yuki ask desperately.

She now know what truly happened to Zero, the headmaster explained it that night, but.....

"I understand now that he has became a vampire, it's only natural for Zero to be in the Night class. But... what about Zero's feeling? He hates vampire so much." (Zero....Zero hate himself also....) She bowed her head to hide her tearing eyes

"Yuki, I know you care for Zero, but.... Zero accept it willingly."

"Zero, accept?" She ask unbelievably

"Yes. I'm also surprise when Zero accept to be transferred to the night class without even thinking of rejecting it or think of it negatively." He then get close to her, putting a hand on her shoulder giving support.
"It seem like we don't truly know Zero like we thought we would. Zero is a brave and a strong child. You are so sweet and so kind Yuki, but Zero need to face his own enemy."

"I-...." She bite her lip and clench her fist. "I .... understand". 'I don't! Why do we need to leave Zero alone!? Zero is suffering.'(are you sure?) 'Zero need me by his side.' (no he don't. You're just selfish) 'I.....I won't leave Zero alone' (he doesn't need you. You just want him by your side because your selfish)

"I'm so glad Yuki! Now that's settled, why don't......bla....bla....bla"

After that night, Yuki never seen Zero the whole day until the next day

While on the night class, Zero and the wolves settled down on his own room after threatening to shoot on anyone who try to mess with him.

He stare at the full moon while petting one of the wolf resting on his lap. No one, not even him notice that the eyes staring at the moon right this instance are golden with a black slit.

A man in a trench coat sporting a wide brimmed cowboy style hat with a cigarette hanging from his mouth and wearing an eye patch, was walking in one of the alley in town when suddenly, he pull out a shot gun on his back then shoot above him.

He's Yagari Toga, one of the top ranked vampire hunter.

A body fall infront of him then turned into ash. Another three level E vampire appear then with three consecutive shot, all three turn to ashes. He then continue to walk away, when.....

"Wow, your good mister" he turn and shoot so fast when a purple barrier stop his bullet. When he look clearly, two children was standing inside the barrier, a boy and a girl.

He narrowed his eyes looking at two unusual children. The young boy, given his size, somewhere between 8 and 11. He has pale skin and purple eyes. His hair was light lilac down to the middle of his back in length with scraggly bangs framing his face. He's wearing a white kimono with dark gray and pink lines, yellow and blue buttons in front, and barefooted. Also, he's holding a naginata which is unusual in the hand of a child.

Beside him is the young girl, approximately 8 years old, She has pale skin, white hair with two white flowers on either side, and black eyes with no irises. She wears a white dress with white bow ties on both sides of the chest, and the sleeves. And she also wears a white sandals.

The boy feels non human but, it's the girl that agitated him which he doesn't show. Because the boy can be explain if he's one of them (even though it's feels so wrong and different) but the girl, even among the pureblood, no one can just mask their scent, presence or their aura so completely they felt like nothing, void, null.

He point his gun at them "what the hell do you think you're doing, vampire" he said even though he felt it's wrong.

"Haha..... You know very well that we are not one of those bloodsucker Mister." The boy laugh "that weapon is useless against us."

"Then what are you? Monsters? Demons?" he question, and he got another laugh

"You're really good mister." Then the boy suddenly disappear and appear infront of him so instantly that he shot another bullet but was stop by the barrier again. "Hahaha... No need to worry mister, I'm just playing with you." He smiled cruelly, raising his naginata when,

"Hakudoshi" the girl call blankly, that's when the boy stop.

"Mou~ nee-san~ it's not like I'm going to kill him." He raise an eyebrow at this statement, did he really think he can kill him so easily. "You feel it too right, nee-san? It felt weak but there's a bond there. Is it because it's not complete, or...... because he's human?"

He frown in confusion, what are these two talking about? Bond?

"Ne~ mister, what's your name? We don't usually care about any insignificant human or any weaker creature but you've pick our interest."

"...... shouldn't you introduce yourself first then, brats."

"Hmm..? Oh! Right, if there's no bond I would have killed you already, either way, I am Hakudoshi." The boy introduce

"Kanna" the girl next

"Hajimemashite, ningen"

'damn, fucking shitty idiotic horny banshees' Zero groan, finally waking up after a whole day of sleeping.

Zero is really not into going out, showing everyone that his now part of night class. But everything is already set, he is to wear the damn white uniform and march outside for everyone to see, that he is indeed part of them now. Well Fuck them too.

He grudgingly got out of bed, noticing the window open and the wolves long gone. 

Then there's a knock

"Kiryuu-kun? I just came to tell you that Kaname-sama required your presence for crossover" He heard Ichijo leaving after giving him a hum as a reply.

After showering and getting changed, Zero is now standing infront of the gate with the other night class, ignoring the others reaction on his presence among them.

He knows everyone is looking at him, and once that gate will open, more eyes would no doubt be on him.

And.....would you look at that, he is right. The gate open and once he step out with the other night class, everyone became silence. He smirk, 'Keh, never thought transferring to the night class be the solution to silent them' he thought sarcastically before deciding to ignore all of it. He doesn't care anymore. Whatever hell he is or whatever others think of him. To hell with them all.

He also ignore Yuki who try to talk with him, giving her just a side eye before continuing to walk away

The night finally came, the full moon shine beautifully at the dark night

Outside of Cross Academy, two children were standing side by side each other.

"Ne~ nee-san, He is here right?"

"Yes"

They both stay silence, waiting, until two presence appear before them

"What the fucking hell are you two doing here?" Koga spat as he and Ayame arrive outside of the gate of the Academy

"This doesn't concern you wolf" the boy answer as Koga bristle on this dismissal, while Ayame raise her hand to stop him from rushing to engage in a fight.

"If it has something to do with the puppy who reside behind this wall, then it does concern us, Hakudoshi"

"Heh~ so he's really here. You know you can't stop us from seeing him right, wolf queen. It is after all, our right." 

"I don't care about your right, what I want to know is how the fucking hell did you come here and how the fucking hell do you know!? We only learn of this when that bastard send us here."

"Hahaha....do you really think that you all can hide his return. Have you forgotten what we are? That very time you open a connection toward this world, his very presence have been felt by us. Not only us, he make a mark toward our world bringing chaos all around. It will not be only us that will seek him"

Inside the classroom, Zero who is sitting at the last row, suddenly look outside the window toward the direction of the gate. He felt something just now.

'there's someone here' he narrowed his eyes

Kaname, who also felt something at the edge of his territory, frown, he look at Zero who is so focused on the outside he didn't notice him staring.

While the other vampire look so confuse on their leader and the vampire hunter sudden shift of attention.

"Is there something wrong, Kiryu-kun?" Ichijo, one of the vampires who is willing to be near Zero, ask.

Lavender eyes with speck of gold when shine by moonlight snap at his direction, taking him by surprise along with Shiki and Rima who were sitting beside him

Before any of them can make comment, a loud shriek was heard inside the forest, making everyone turn to that direction.

Then Zero bolt outside the door, running toward the source.

Back to Koga and the others

"What the heck are this bastard doing here!?" Koga curse as he jump away from the large tail of a snake yokai (nure onna) swing toward him before kicking her in the face

"Isn't it already obvious? What else would they come here for if it's not for Him" Hakudoshi answer as he cut three legs of a spider yokai (tsuchigumo) with his naginata

While the tsuchigumo also has his eyes on Zero but then was pinned by a naginata 

"Don't you dare think about it, you're not worthy." Hakudoshi stated as he look down on him, making the tsuchigumo more angry

By now, the other vampires, mainly the inner circle and Kuran Kaname also came out

"What the hell is that!?" Aidou shout. The other are surprise as well.

"I...nu...yasha.... You're back.....hahahaha.... you've came back...."the tsuchigumo painfully said as it stared directly at Zero

"It talk!?" Aidou said in the background

Staring equally at the down tsuchigumo, he step forward, tilting his head

"Oi, are you talking about me?" Zero ask

"Who.....else...but....you...." It said as it try to crawl closer to Zero before it was once again stab by Hakudoshi

"Did I say you can come closer to him? You're nothing but a bug that should be crush on my feet."

Everyone now stare at the child who cruelly stab a naginata on the big spider

Another shriek was heard as the nure onna, all bloodied, fall down after a strong kick from Koga. But despite it all, it also start to crawl toward Zero

Zero frown as he crouch down lifting the snake woman chin with his finger

"Inuyasha.... that's my name isn't it. Why are you here? What do you know of me?" He tilt his head questioningly. His eyes glowing as he continue to stare at the woman's eyes, or more like he's staring directly at her soul

She shivered "You....yes you, Inuyasha.... We want to see you.... You who once...turn the land red with blood.... We want to see you, once again.....make the world once again rain in blood"

Kaname frown listening to the snake words

"How dare you! You liar. My dear Zero-kun would do no such cruel thing!" The chairman shriek coming out from a tree, waving his arm theatrically.

This time, the Tsuchigumo laugh loudly gathering the others attention
"Hahaha....who are you to talk like you know him?"

"I'm his father!"

"Father?...hahaha....you think...you know him!.....do no cruel?.... Hahaha....we are yokai.....cruelty is in our blood!....this boy,... we'd watch him bring chaos to the whole world.... He, who's name bring terror among the whole yokai clan..... He, who killed a lot of high ranking demon in just a short time..... and can go toe-in-toe with a daiyokai..... Do you truly think he's the boy you truly know all this time?..... Hah! His presence have been felt by all who live on our land,.....they will all come for him.... He will-" before he can continue, his head was decapitated and was crash by the white child

"You talk so long, it's annoying." He stated

Koga also walk toward the nuke onna, decapitating the woman's head with his claw ending her life. Blood splatter on Zero's face and he wipe it with the back of his hand. Staring at it, he lick the blood before his face grimace in disgust.

"H-how cruel!" The chairman said, shock by the sudden cruelty of both the child and Koga. Not only him, but also the other vampire also became agitated by the smell of blood and death

"Cruel? Hahaha, that tsuchigumo is right ya know. Cruelty is just in our blood. It's normal for us to be cruel to our enemy." The white child said as he swing his naginata taking away the blood.

Kaname who is silent until now step forward looking at Koga "explain"

"Sigh~ haven't I already told ya. Zero is very well known, and those of our kind who knows him and learn that he is alive, whomever is it, they will come for him."

"Friends who want to see him, enemy who wants to kill him, vultures who want to use him, those are just some of the reason of those who would come to seek him." Ayame stated as she and another child came out from the shadow.

Kaname narrowed his eyes toward the children, and before he can ask

"Papa?" The same soft voice rang. Zero look down toward the child still hugging him and who is now staring back at him. He glance toward Koga and Ayame who were by the side, shrug and said "well, they're yours"

Zero sigh, push the little girl gently so he could crouch down so he could now face the child/children properly cause the boy is now beside the girl.

"You're names?" He question gently

"What are you doing here, Sesshomaru-sama?"a young man ask appearing out of nowhere. He have copper hair, green eyes, and a cream-colored, five fluffy tails, swaying lazily on his back. He wears blue sashinuki hakama, a turquoise happi coat patterned with leaves, and a tan fur vest. His feet look like those of a fox. His hair is kept up in a tiny ponytail with a turquoise bow. His ears are narrow and pointed, as is with most demons like Sesshomaru and Koga. He is Shippo, a fox yokai. The only one left of the first pack lead by Inuyasha

Finally infront of the sacred tree, he glance at him "Shippo" he acknowledged, before he turn his attention back to the sacred tree.

Crossing his arm and leaning in one of the tree, he casually said "you know that the humans, specially the Miko and the Taijiya are really not comfortable with you coming here."

"......."

"Of course you don't care." He scratch his head annoyingly as he was met with silent. He then narrowed his eyes toward the DaiYokai "Are you finally going to where father is?"

This time he finally answer "It's not the right time. The pup is still awakening, this Sesshomaru's presence will only agitate his yokai and that, will only endanger him from himself."

"So you send Koga." He tilt his head, then with a curious voice "You know that father is nothing but a pup right?
You said it yourself. I don't know what you're planning toward father, but he is but a pup right now. An unclaimed pup....." Widening his eyes with realization "Are you... Are you giving up your right to Koga!?"

Suddenly the whole place was filled with bloodlust. Looking up in alarm, Shippo felt a chill run through his vein.

Sesshomaru's eyes are tinted with red as his voice became much more colder and cruel, he growl "Foolish fox. The pup is mine, and mine alone. That low bred wolf have no claim toward what is mine, and if they ever try, the Eastern and Northern wolf tribe will be no more. Their only roles are to assist his awakening."

Gulping down, Shippo tried to calm himself and his yokai, stomping the urge to flee or fight right this instance

"I...I apologize, I didn't....mean it this way." He painfully said as he grit his teeth trying to stay standing in this crushing pressure.

It didn't take long for the bloodlust to disappear "watch what you say fox. The only reason your still here is because you are a claim kit of my brother." He coldly stated as he turn around, stepping away intend on finally leaving.

Alone and able to breathe again, Shippo slump beside a tree. "Fucking hell." He curse.

Taking a steady breath, he also stare at the sacred tree

"Papa, I wish I can be there with you also, but I cannot just leave my territory so suddenly. I just hope those two, specially Hakudoshi, will not start something stupid"

Inside the chairman house living room, Kuran Kaname sitting in one chair with the night class standing behind him, the chairman in another chair and Zero in a couch with the two children sitting beside him and Koga and Ayame stay on another side

"This place should suffice. Yuki is already in her dorm room and this place is ward with hunter spell so no need to worry for any eavesdropper. Now that's taken care of, why don't we start at the beginning." The chairman start, smiling so friendly toward the kids.

"Hello, I'm Cross Kaien, I'm Zero's guardian. You can call me grampa" Zero scowl at him while Koga snicker and the two children only tilt their head then look toward Zero questioningly

"Chairman" Kuran Kaname intervent before it became chaotic once again "Perhaps let's start with how should you explain everything that happened tonight." Staring now toward Zero

"Tsk. Like hell I know. Everything is just mess up. How the fuck should I know."

"Zero! Language! There are children here."

This time, the two children just look at the chairman funnily. "Neh papa, he's funny." Hakudoshi said

We don't mind, but Zero, you're the one who have a say in this, it is your life. Are you ok with them knowing it." She question, pertaining to the other people in the room.

Zero glance up toward the chairman and Kuran before sighing. "We're already in this mess, the Academy is attacked and I don't know if it happen again or how many time it will be, and all of this is because they all come for me. Everyone here seen it all, Kaien Cross is the owner of this Academy and Kuran is the alpha of this territory." Kaname raise his eye hearing this. "Even though it has nothing of their business, they will still be pulled along in this mess. So why not just tell us? Why they attack? Why me? Who are they? What do they mean by me bringer of chaos? Who...sigh...who am I really?"

All the others look in surprise. Meanwhile, Hakudoshi and Kanna look toward their father in concern. Each taking one of his hand, giving comfort

"Well if that's what you think then, why not." Koga shrug "To start it off, Zero ah- no..., Inuyasha, that's your name before you died centuries ago."

Even though yokai are naturally cruel and chaotic, that alone cannot be someone who can be called as bringer of chaos by us Yokai. Hanyou are basically seen as lesser, weak, pathetic, defective, something that should not be alive. They are rejected by both human and Yokai alike. Killed by Yokai, driven away by human, it's rare for them to live so long."

"But mutt-face is different. Mutt....Inuyasha is the son of a great demon, an inu-Daiyokai. His father's blood are much stronger, making him stands amongst the most powerful demons and have an immense amount of demonic power. I've seen and experience it myself, how he can fight against and defeat any full blooded demons and even a DaiYokai."

"But being a Hanyou is still a weakness for Inuyasha. The blood of his father run stronger through his vein, making his yokai stronger than himself."

"Our yokai is the embodiment of our truer instinct, our predatory instinct. It's more crueler, and more savage than ourselves. Our Yokai is the Demon's True Nature"

Being a half yokai, his life is always in danger, and when it is put in danger, his Yokai want to take over more. This time Koga is now infront of Zero "You suddenly appear after disappearing for two centuries in a Yokai war, killing multiple army's of yokai, making waste on any human village you pass, killing a fucking DaiYokai of the other lands; don't know how you fucking do that; painting the whole lands red with blood, and basically bring chaos to the whole lands." Looking directly into Zero's eye, Koga stated, "You are feared, respected and worshipped. Many wicked Yokai who loves chaos and destruction want to follow you, serve you, to the point of wanting you to be the Lord of Pandemonium. In thirteen days, you did all that. Thirteen days to shake our whole world, before your older brother came and finally kill you."

This further surprise everyone in the room. The vampires and the chairman.

Zero who was silent during the whole explanation finally react. Eyes turn completely golden when his brother was mention. A deadly man with long silver hair, slanted golden eyes with slit pupils, two magenta stripe adorn each of his cheek and another stripe on each eyelid, and a violet crescent moon on his forehead; flash on his mind.

"Your older brother, Sesshomaru-sama is another inu-Daiyokai. When your father died, your older brother became the Alpha of the pack, making him your Alpha. Someone who should have raise you, guide you, nurture you in your father's stead."

"But that fucker never did any of his responsibility as your Alpha. Leaving you to fend for yourself, not nurturing you; that's why your still but a pup, both you and your Yokai. You may be seen already as an adult, but your Yokai cannot hide what you truly are."

Zero growl with annoyance on being called a pup, which is also answered by Koga with another growl

"Shut it mutt, yer a puppy so face it. Tsk, that prick didn't accept you, but also did not rejected you completely. It would have been better if he rejected you so any bond with him would have been severed, allowing you not to be dependant on him. Without any bond Alpha that your Yokai would look as someone who take care of the pack, ya may have been able to mature by yerself, or even be claimed by others."

Blinking in surprise, Zero then stare blankly at Koga

"You think someone would want to claim me? A Hanyou being claimed by any full blood Yokai?" He ask incredulously

"Feh. It might be so rare but doesn't mean impossible. Infact I don't mind claiming you as one of my pack"

Surprise on his claim, Zero can only state "you? Claim me? Are you an idiot?"

"Feh, why not, your my friend so there's nothing wrong. But true, that prick are still link with you and if I ever think of claiming you, it would be seen as a challenge toward the bastard" thinking of it, Koga can only shuddered.

Ayame are also now Infront of Zero cupping his face "And no matter what, claimed or not, your still welcome to our pack, our precious Zero"

Not long after, a chuckle was heard then Hakudoshi and Kanna appear from the shadow

"So you're here mister. Nice to see you again~" Hakudoshi happily bounce infront of Toga as he tug Toga's arm to look at the picture of Zero and Yuki "Heh~ it's papa" he said, clearly ignoring the other one on the picture when Kanna also came close to look

"Brats" he acknowledged as he let Hakudoshi tug his arm

Mouth agape, the chairman look in shock by their closeness and Toga letting anyone get close to him, specially someone who's clearly dangerous.

Toga who see his bewildered look only scoff at him "I can't kill this two even if I wanted too"

"Hehehe~, Papa claimed you as pack so we're also your pack. Papa's pack are so big, he claimed a lot of us and we don't even know all of them." Hakudoshi playfully said while Toga only grunt

This time he stand up as he walk closer to Kaname, leaning forward until he can whisper directly on his ear "Neh~ tell me Kuran, why are you really here? Are you here to kill me? Warn me? Or see if I can still be a chess piece for you to use?" He laugh as he jump back, avoiding a swipe from Kuran. "I'm no idiot Kuran, the only reason why you let me alone in this Academy is because I have some used for you." He said as he wipe his cheek with his finger, licking the blood spilled on the cut that was nick by Kuran.

"You're not Zero"

Eyes glowing blood-red with teal slit stare back at him. Jagged purple stripe appear on his cheek, full fangs, he grin back at Kuran.

Running across the corridor, Yuki and Sayori 'Yori' Wakaba race toward their class as the bell was heard.

"Hurry, Yori-chan!"

Opening the door toward their classroom, they were confuse when the other students are excitedly talk with each other

"Did..... something happen?" Yuki ask one of the student 'is it about the noise last night? Did they see something!?' Yuki think nervously

"Cross-san, did you know that the new ethics lecturer is coming?" They excitedly ask

'phew, thank goodness it's not about last night.'

"Huh? At this time of the year?" She curiously ask

"I caught a glimpse of him....."and before they can continue, the door open by a man with an eye patch 

"It appears you've already heard about me. I'm Toga Yagari and I'm taking over the ethics class from today. Nice to meet you all."

"He's pretty cool" Yori commented

"Yeah.... But he's sorta scary." Yuki answer

Outside of the classroom, two children, Hakudoshi and Kanna who are wearing an elementary school uniform (thanks to a certain chairman) explore the whole campus while avoiding any students

"Heh~ so that is where mister working right now"

"Hakudoshi, papa said not to cause trouble. Papa will be angry" Kanna reprimand as she pull his bag (given again the chairman) before he can rush over

"Mou~ nee-san" he whine, but before they can continue, the door open and came out Yuki. They all froze staring at each other.

After some time, the first one who finally react is Yuki "hello there, are you lost? Did you came here with someone? Where are your guardians?" Yuki who could feel something weird with them assume they are vampire children who came to visit with their family 'but the chairman doesn't inform me of this'

Hakudoshi and Kanna stare at each other before they both said ""the weird chairman left us"" they both throw everything to the chairman

Yuki who accept it said "We should go back to the chairman then, the whole school is so big, you may get lost here." She said as she guided them back to the chairman.

Inside the chairman office, the door open in a bang as Yuki rush inside with the two children following leisurely behind her "Headmaster! Why did you leave two children roam alone in the school!?"

"Oh Yuki! Good timing. It seemed that you meet Hakudoshi and Kanna. Oh! Btw they are Zero-kun's relatives and they'll be staying here with Zero-kun." He then turn toward the two "Haku-chan, Kanna-chan, this is my daughter Yuki. Both Yuki and Zero were raise together. I hope you be nice with each other okay!" 

"Wha....... Zero's relative?" Yuki gape as she look back at the two children

"Yes. And since it was so sudden, they don't have that much on their person so I would like for you to go to town to help them shop for their things. You can even ask your friend Yori. I'll give some allowance for you to enjoy along with the kids."

And without much funfair...........

Yuki, Yori, Hakudoshi and Kanna are now inside a cafe for a nice break after their shopping.

"Oh, so Zero is like your very distant relative" Yuki said as she try to probe any information on them 

"Yep! But Zero is our papa" Hakudoshi stated as he and Kanna happily munch on their parfait. "Papa had always protected us and taught us a lot of things, so he became our papa."

"Mama love us, she and papa take care of us. She always scold papa if papa do something stupid and they are always fighting on stupid things. But papa love mama so they always make up after a fight."

Yuki who is listening doesn't notice how her chest tighten and suddenly she became uncomfortable

"Umm sorry, I'll just go outside for a bit of fresh air." She said as she suddenly stand up and run outside the store.

She run until she stop in one of the alley. Leaning in one of the wall, she clench her chest where her heart is located as she breath deeply

'why does it hurt?'

'is it because I don't know anything about Zero?'

'why did he never talk to me? Why does he never say anything?'

'Zero..... Does Zero not trust me?'

She covered her mouth as she try not to cry.

'no. Zero is still my friend. Even though I don't know much about him, he's still someone important.' she then shake her head then slap both her cheek to get a grip of her self.

"Ok! I'm ok." She then try to walk back when suddenly she was attack from behind. Thankfully she felt it and able to block a claw with his Artemis rod.

"A vampire?!"

"You.....smell good......let me eat you up"

"Why is there a vampire here?" She then swing her Artemis rod, forcing him to back away. "This is....level E?"

And before he could rush once again, his body was split into two and was turn into sand.

"Ichijo-senpai? Shiki-senpai?

Yuki, was surprise to be save by the night class

"Mission accomplished" Ichijou grin as he sheathe his sword

"You didn't need me at all" Shiki state blankly

"Why are you two outside.....doing this?"

"Not now, Yuki. You should go back and get your wound treated. Your blood is too provocative for us." 

Yuki raise her hand to see that she was nick by the vampire earlier, allowing little blood to flow.

"If you want to know the answer, then come visit the moon dorm tonight. I'll tell you why I killed the level E then."

Not far away from them, sitting on the edge of a rooftop, Hakudoshi swing his leg while watching everything from above; while Kanna was standing by his side.

"That little girl, does papa like her?" Hakudoshi ask curiously

"She's papa's sister"

"......But she's not claimed" he frown as they both disappear when the others went on their ways.

On the midnight, Yuki entered the moon dorm escorted by both Akatsuki Kain and Hanabusa Aidou.

While on the other side, Zero is infront of the fountain, standing solemnly with Hakudoshi and Kanna silently staying behind him.

"I finally came here to see my dear student, but I met someone so different. Let me ask you, are you still my student? Or just a monster?"

Glancing behind him, Zero's golden eye stare at the man who walk leisurely with shotgun on his hand and smoking a cigarette.

"Master"

"So you still recognize me." He take of his cigarette as he stare back at those mesmerizing eyes. "Tell me, have you decided to stop waiting for me to kill you?"

Zero now fully turn to Toga while the kids step to each of his side, perfectly flanking him. "Human, vampire, yokai, Hanyou,......... It's all nonsense actually.... Die?" He scoff "I've been there."

"Master, I remember....... A life where everyone wants me dead.... Yet.... I fought to hell to live."

He walk forward, bypassing his Master, as the kids dutifully follow him 

"This time, once again, I will fight until I can't fight anymore. I will live my life in hell, but this hell is mine to live."

And before they can leave

"Zero"

He stop

"That woman...... Apparently she's still alive"

"....... Then I'll just kill her"

The next day, Zero is inside the kitchen of the moon dorm (which is not surprisingly, empty of people but full with ingredients)

"Papa, what are you doing?" Hakudoshi ask as he and Kanna enter the kitchen together.

Zero raise his head from slicing a fish. "Cooking. What would you like? I'll cook it for you." He said as he continue doing his work

The two look at each other excitedly as they both said "we'll eat whatever papa give us." Zero raise one of his eyebrow and then just shrug, accepting their answer as he prepare another dish after leaving the fish in the oven to be grilled.

Not long after, two people peek at the kitchen door. Zero sees them and just let them be. 

After some time, he finally finish. He put four hambagu (Japanese dish similar to Hamburg steak in Western countries.) on the table, pushing two to the children, then push the other two toward the direction of the door. "Eat, since your already here" he said then turn to get his own meal which is rice, grilled fish, miso soup and some side steam vegetables.

Shiki and Rima who was at the door stare at Zero before finally getting closer and sit at the table taking their own hambagu and start eating silently, enjoying the relative peace they have that time.

Kuran Kaname was lying at his own room when Takuma knock on his door before letting him enter 

"Are you alright Kaname-sama?"

"........I'm fine...... 

How is he?"

"He is with the children along with Shiki and Rima."

......

"If I may ask, did something happened Kaname-sama?"

Kaname only close his eyes as he remember their conversation the other night.......

"Zero is me and I am Zero, whether it's the last life or in this life, we're always one. So, if I know that you're using me, Zero also know that you're nothing but a manipulative bastard." He grin as he sit back on the windowsill.

"Everyone thought I'm nothing but a mindless beast who will strike anyone. Why not! It's a dog eat dog world! Everyone kill each other, I'm just following along it's order.....but......Zero still have a kind heart even in this life. He will die without me. That's why, I kill for the both of us, kill those who hurt us, those who use us and those who stop us." He declared boldly

"So you're repeating the past. Isn't that what killed you? Are you going to guide Zero toward that path once again?"

Zero laugh "who knows? What if I did? Would you kill me?" This time he calm down as he turn to look up the moon, then solemnly said "no matter how I want us to live, Zero is the most important. If Zero want to end our lives, then I kill ourselves, but I will drag everything in the deepest pit of hell before we go."

Kiryu Zero, a vampire hunter, turn vampire, and now a Hanyou; readying for another night as he stare back at the mirror. His eyes which only turn gold when the moon is up is now lavender.

Ever since his eyes turn gold, he's been banned by the chairman to be seen by day class at night, so on night patrol, he doesn't appear infront of any day class, including Yuki. The only time he can make contact with the day class are only during the Crossover.

Just like now, Zero and Yuki are doing their job as a guardian as usual, managing the day class. Same old routine,  except for Zero who follow behind the night class after sending away the annoyance. He also barely talk to Yuki, making their relationship a bit estrange.

Kuran Kaname notice this, but never make a move.

Once inside the classroom, Zero sit on the backside, followed by Shiki and Rima who surprisingly sit on his side. He stare at them as he raise his eyebrow questioningly

The two only sit comfortably while eating some Pocky, while the others gape at them

"What are you doing?" Aidou ask incredulously toward Shiki and Rima.

The two only stare blankly as they answer in a deadpan voice "eating"

Zero hide a snigger but failed and Aidou pop a vein in his forehead, glaring at the trio as he huff in irritation.

Shiki and Rima stare at each other in awe, having been able to make Zero laugh.

Before any more drama can unfold, the door to the classroom open as a man enter.

Striding through the center with confidence and no fear, he introduce, "I'm Toga Yagari, I'll be your temporary lecturer for this ethics class. Nice to meet you, vampires......" This make the whole room plunge in tense silence.

"Yagari? He has the same name as the man who's the no.1 vampire hunter right now...." Rima commented

"Relax. Today I'm an official teacher with a teaching certificate."

Kuran who was leaning on the wall, reading, also comment "I heard that you were somewhere far away. But you've returned? You've came back to check out the night class? Or is there a vampire among us who you want to kill......sensei?"

"Hello, Kuran Kaname. Unfortunately my list is empty right now. But if you find my class boring, I can always add you to my list, you know."

"Heh. I'll be careful, sensei" Kuran answer as he smile calmly at Toga.

Toga smirk as his eyes travel through the crowd until it stop on a silver haired with a golden eyes. They held their gaze for a seconds before Toga break it and start discussing.

"You know him?" Shiki quietly ask beside him. He came too close before Zero realize it.

He blink before saying "my master"

Shiki only humm before staying quiet

After class, walking alone in the corridor, Toga stop as he take out his cigarette and light it.

"It seems that you're doing well with those vampires, Zero"

Appearing behind him, Zero walk beside his Master as they both trek the empty corridor

"Didn't you hate them?"

"I hated them. But now, I just don't care enough as long as they don't piss me off. The only one I can truly hate, is that Woman"

Puffing a smoke, Toga glance back at Zero before he continue to move forward. After some minutes of silence, "Good. I hope you don't start collecting some vampire like stray cause base on those brats, it seems like it's one of your hobby"

Nearly tripping in surprise, Zero look at his Master who stop and look back at him with a raise eyebrow. With an incredulous look, he ask, "what!?"

"It's what those brats of yours told us. You had been picking a lot of children and teens like a stray kitten picked up on the street." Puffing another smoke, he stare outside to the forest as he lean on the wall. "Speaking off, where the hell are your brats?"

Zero stare blankly at his Master before he close his eyes and massage his head with one hand and sigh. "I will just ask the brats about that. As for where they are? They're still inside the Academy. I told them to avoid the humans and vampires alike. Even though they look human, they don't know how to act like one. Hakudoshi will kill anyone without any hesitation. While Kanna don't know how to act like a child infront of anyone except for me, her presence alone will perturb both human and vampire alike." He finish as he also look toward where his Master is staring when silent fall once again.

........................

"Those brats of yours, the Yokai, a Hanyou, another world, the past of yours; if this ever get out, the whole vampire society and the hunter association will descent in chaos."

He scoff "I'm definitely the bringer of chaos then."

"That's why the chairman and Kuran put that gag order. Better not let those brats of yours wander out too much, including those friends of yours."

".... I'll warn them"

Toga glance at Zero before he straighten up as he grab something on his coat and retrieve a letter then pass it to Zero

"Here. Those on the higher-up request you, better prepare yourself."

After that, he left Zero alone in the empty corridor.

The next day, after Ichijo leave Kaname's room, Kuran Kaname who was laying in a coach while reading some paper, state suddenly "Do you have any business with me, Kanna."

Standing silently from a corner, Kanna observe from a distance

"I've been watching since the beginning, and the only one here who is a danger to father is you."

"So you came to kill me then?"

".......no."

"Oh? Why?"

"If I kill you, there would be a war, father will be put in more danger. This, is just a warning."

"A warning huh."

"I don't like you. You remind me of Sesshomaru-sama and my creator. A royal, cold blooded and cold-hearted creature like Sesshomaru-sama. And a manipulative cruel creature like my creator. We already lost father once, we will not lose him once again, specially in the hands of someone like you." Then without any indication, Kanna disappear.

Ichijo, who left Kaname's room not too long ago received a letter that freak him out, and totally disturb the other night class.

"Wake up! Tonight my grandfather would be here!"

Aidou who's sleep has just been disturb "Ichijo, are you really a vampire? Why do you have so much energy during the day. Why don't you go play in the sunlight and turn to dust, just like the the vampire in manga you force me to read."

"I would turn to dust if I could..." He said as he open the curtain, irritating Aidou more

"It's bright! I'm gonna kill you!"

"You're really afraid of your grandfather, aren't you, vice president? He's that vampire....." Kain ask

"Yes. In the human world, he made the Ichijo group grow so large that now all human business transactions involve his company. In the vampire world, he's the head of the most distinguished clan of aristocrats. Asato Ichijo.... Also known as Ichio. One of the oldest vampires on the Senate."

"We have nothing to fear." Ruka said as she lean on the door. "The Senate is indeed the highest governing body of our world....but they are not our sovereign."

"Yes.... Well that is true, but-"

"Heh~ so you'll have a visitor this evening, and an important one to boot! This sound fun!" Hakudoshi who just appear out of nowhere beside Ruka step inside the room, making the other jump in surprise.

"Hakudoshi! What are you doing here!?" Ichijo surprisingly ask

"I'm just looking around and I hear something fun." He grin as he start poking around the room, annoying Aidou more

Ichijo who was horrified, tried to talk him down. "Hakudoshi. The person coming here tonight is very dangerous. You heard what I say earlier right? He is from the Senate. If you do something that will get his attention, I don't know what will happen. Kaname-sama put a gag order concerning you all so you need to cooperate."

"Hahaha.....no need to worry. I'm just messing with you. Of course I won't start anything. Father already warn us, and above all else," His voice suddenly fall serious. "I will not allow father to be in danger."

That night, the night class along with Kuran Kaname welcome their visitor.

Except for Zero, who doesn't have any interest in this, stay in the forest to play with the wolves and the bunny who lay in his lap. Not long after, Koga appear beside him

"Not going to join the party?" He sarcastically ask while Zero scoff at his question

"Why the fuck I would?" He said frankly before looking at Koga "And where the fucking hell did you disappear to?"

"What, miss me?" He jokingly ask before continuing "Here and there. We're just checking the whole place and gathering some info" He then look at the open letter laying beside Zero with a symbol of the hunter association, same with his tattoo on his neck
"What's this?"

".....mission"

"So you're going somewhere"

"Yeah, tomorrow. Second town, not that far. A group of level E. Nine teenage girls are already missing. I will go once the sun rise." He explain

"Heh. You need blood" he didn't ask, just state it as fact. "The blood I'd given you for the first time may be enough to sustain you for a long time, but we don't wanna tempt fate. If your vampire side awaken in hunger, I don't wanna fucking deal with your piss off Yokai side."

"Koga-"

"But, I'm not giving you my blood so easily" he grins as his human transformation fade, tail swishing back and forth. "Let's make it just like old times. You vs me. If ya need or want something, then ya need to fight for it!" Then without so much any warning, he leapt and strike the place where Zero was sitting before he jump back, now holding the bunny to his chest

"Fucking damn it Koga. If we're doing this, wait until I can create a barrier. Do ya want to attract those vampires?"

"Yeah Yeah Yeah. Don't bleed then until ya can create those damn barrier. But do it while ya fight with me! This will be more fun!" And he leapt to strike once again.

Zero dodge, leaving the bunny to one of the wolves before he strike back with his lengthen claw and both disappear deeper toward the forest.

Kaname who had just talk to Asato Ichijo, smell something sweet before it was muffled with something he recognized, a hunter barrier spell. If it's not for him being a pureblood, he will definitely miss it.

Koga and Zero, now without anything to stop them and hold them back, leapt at each other; pounding, clawing and totally maiming one another for the next hours. By the end of it, they are left both panting and bloody while Zero pin Koga on the floor and Koga was wondering how on the fucking hell Zero manage to meet him blow for blow and actually pinned him.

"Y-you're still h-hard to f-fight" Koga wheezed

"D-damn you t-too." Zero huff as he breath deeply

Koga who now after some minutes breath normally, stare at Zero before tilting his head, presenting his vulnerable neck to Zero. "Come on now, drink and get yourself together. You still have mission to go the next hours, right."

"......"

"And do you know how rare it is for someone like us, specially an alpha to present our most vulnerable part to someone? This is a sign of submission to another alpha, but I am not submitting to ya. I'm providing ya what you need. I'm not your Alpha, but your my friend. You're the only one I'm willing to do this with so stop being a pussy and drink already."

Zero look at his eyes before his own travel down to his neckline. Without any more prompting, he lean down knowing that the person he's with is someone he trust, who will protect him and have his back, he let go of his vampiric side to come to the surface.

Slowly, but surely, Koga felt sharp pain slice through his neck as Zero's fangs sank to his skin. He raise his hand as he curled his fingers into Zero's silver locks, gently pressing him close.

Sweet with spicy flavor is the first thing he taste, before a surge of power flow through him. An undeniable power that belong to Koga, a very powerful full blooded Yokai, his blood and his power, he can feel it running in his vein; all his scratches, claw marks and injury are all closing and healing so fast, now only leaving smooth skin without any trace.

After some time, Zero drew back from Koga's neck, slightly panting, while Koga sit up. A snap of a twig have their attention snap toward the source. Appearing not far from them, Kuran Kaname was standing there, looking at them.

Immediately tensing, Zero found his hand on his bloody rose before he was stop by Koga patting his head.

"Oi oi. No need to be so riled up puppy. You just fed with my blood, we don't need your Yokai getting overly excited." He then look back at Kaname with a challenging stare "No need for ya to worry, Zero only need my blood, he will not hurt any of the humans here."

Kaname who came because of his curiosity is now looking at something so rare, he doesn't even know what to feel. Kiryu Zero, with his glowing red eyes fading slowly back to golden, face flush and lips - which is tainted red with someone's blood - were parted, showing a glint of fangs; is now relaxing his tense body, putting his guard down in somebody's presence.

Kaname didn't realize it at that moment, but his fist clench unconsciously and he somehow felt his chest uncomfortable. He doesn't understand what he feel at that time, so with a cold expression, he taunt

"How are you so sure about that? Without the blood of a pureblood, he will fall into a level E. How are you so sure he will not attack any of the human here, including Yuki?"

With Yuki being mentioned, Zero growl as he glare at Kaname "I will not attack any of the humans here especially Yuki!" He stand up and march toward Kaname "I know I'm dangerous, not only as a turn vampire but also as a Yokai. That's the reason why I will not associate with them not any more than necessary." Now infront of him, he grab his collar and yank it down to make their eyes level with each other. "I know what I am Kuran..... I know my place. I will drink blood if it's what necessary to stop myself from falling, but I won't be taking it from any human or vampire here so there's no need for you to worry....... The only exception is that Woman." He smirk "I know that she's one of your target Kuran..... and you're using me as a bait.... But, I will be the one who will devour her."

After Ichio leave with Yuki, the whole inner circle was all in the living room

"Arggg!!!! How dare he!!! To ask for the blood of a pureblood. That's the greatest taboo!" Ruka said frustratingly as she pace around the room.

"That's right! He doesn't have any right to ask for Kaname-sama's blood! He's only one of the Senate! He can't demand from a pureblood" Aidou added while caressing his cheek which was slap by Kaname earlier.

"Seems like you hate that guy so much huh" coming down from the stairs, Hakudoshi and Kanna sit in the coach where Shiki and Rima sit.

"Hakudoshi-kun! Kanna-chan!" Ichijo exclaim

Looking at his worried look, Kanna calm him "Don't worry, we never let ourselves be detected by him."

"We don't want to trouble father, so there's no need for you to worry." Hakudoshi said as he take a cookie from a pouch, eating it contently.

"I still don't understand how/why you are so devoted to him." Aidou said

"That's because father is the most kindest." With their incredulous look, he continue "We are created to stop and kill father, who is our creator's enemy. Our creator is a cruel, controlling and heartless creature who used us, abandoned us and sacrifice us just to eliminate his enemy."

"And the one who save us from that fate is father. Even though how much pain we inflicted on father, he still saved us, and even take us under his care."

"That's why, we will do anything and everything for father. If father ever want it, we can destroy everything father hate, that include you vampire."

"Why you little br-"

"We're just making it all clear. We are all selfish creature, everything we do is for father's sake. And aren't you the same? You do anything for your pureblood, right?"

"Yes. But Kaname-sama is not like the other! He purely want a peaceful coexistence between human and us vampires!" Aidou strongly defend but was replied by a mocking laugh

"Hahahah!!!!.... coexistence!? Peaceful!? Even father doesn't believe in such a thing! Humans are always at war with each other, what's more with the Yokai, and for them to both live peacefully? Hah! Absurd! He knows very well there's no such thing as peace, human will still hate and fear Yokai, and Yokai will still look down on human. You can never erase that facts. You may change it, but can never erase it. It's all the same with the vampire."

"Indeed" everyone turn toward the entrance where Kaname was leaning.

"Kaname-sama!" Aidou and Ruka called

"You're back Kaname-sama" Takuma said as he approach him.

Kaname only nod toward them before turning back on Hakudoshi. "What you said is indeed true, but change can still make peace. Even if we cannot erase the bloody past, if we all change just a little bit of our way, we can still live peacefully with each other."

Hakudoshi smirk before he answer "Do you really believe that? You know well that is just temporary. Humans will still fear us, beings who is different from them; fear would turn to hate and that would fuel a war, a war that would wipe out whichever side or both. So for it to not go that far, a balance should be maintain. Father understand that, he is kind but he's not a saint.

What you have now with the humans is a balance. The peace you want to achieve will tip that balance off and the end will be the extinction of the other race."

Walking in an abandon building holding the bloody rose, Zero enter a room and without wasting any movement he shoot the third man who ambush him.

"Last one left" and he turn around, looking for the last one who run away

Outside the abandon building,

"This is the place" a lazy young man voice stated

"Shiki, you'll get a sunburn without a parasol."

"Oh"

"Shiki, Rima, I'll be waiting for you over there. Finish your errand quickly or you'll be late for the photo shoot! And Shiki, you get sunburn easily so you get under Rima's parasol too! You're a professional model!"

"Why mine?"

"Ok"

Shiki and Rima then enter the dilapidated building

"Why do we have to hunt former humans during the day? I want to eat Zero's food"

"It's an order from the Senate. They don't want the Society to hunt it down first. And it can't be help, Zero left so early"

"Eh? We're competing with them?"

"Our target became a level E only recently, so it could still be quite intelligent. That won't make much of a difference though."

Surveying inside, Shiki stop

"Oh? Zero is here"

"How can you tell?"

"This place smell like-"

"Oh! My comrade come to see me? Sorry but I'm busy"

Looking up on the second floor, a level E stand there holding an unconscious girl on his arm.

"Do you intend to swipe my dessert? That's not fair. I can't let you do that. I'm saving her for later!" He then let go of the girl as he jump down to attack them.

Shiki step forward as he pierce his finger with his fang and use his blood as a whip, attacking the level E with a destructive force.

The man, knowing he doesn't have a chance against a noble, he jump back and ran away, leaving the two noble

"Huh? It ran away."

"Why are you just standing around? Hurry!"

"I don't like chasing...."

"Go after it" While the two are bickering, the man ran over the hallway when he was suddenly shot on his leg and was pinned on the floor  by a foot on his back

"Your stupid game of tag is finally over"

Zero point his gun on the mans head coldly "This is the end, vampire"

"Oh dear.... I've been caught. But now I won't have to kill anymore right?"

Zero's eye saddened but doesn't hesitate to pull the trigger, turning the man into ash. "This world is also cruel, we can't live how we want to be."

Looking down at the ash, his eyes once again covered in cold before turning away, intend to leave

"Hey, Zero. We found a girl over here. What should we do? She's still alive."

Surprise, Zero turn and found Rima and Shiki holding a girl over his shoulder.

"What are you doing here? And, what did you call me?"

"The Senate send us here. And can we call you Zero?" Rima ask looking up at him

Zero narrowed his eyes

"We can't?" Along with Shiki, both of them now look at Zero with sad puppy eyes

Zero stare before sighing and turning away "Do whatever you want"

With that, both smile slightly before following behind Zero

Outside the window, perch on a tree is a crow, watching Zero intently.

"He he.... I found Zero."

Zero suddenly stop as his eyes was shadowed by his bangs

"You're here" he grin as his eyes flash red before returning back to lavender

In Kaede's village, sitting on a tree at the edge of the Inuyasha forest, Shippo is looking at the humans doing their own thing at the village.

"You're back. How is it?" A boy looking 14 years old in a Taijiya outfit ask after dismounting from a large nekomata

"Ah, Kohaku, Kirara." He greet "It's not going great. A lot of Yokai are starting to gather in that red land, it won't be long before that land became infested, and the area near that land will be affected as well."

"Right. Same with ours then. Humans starting to notice and whisper of Hyakki Yagyo are all over the place. There's also the Lord of Pandemonium being mention."

"Fuck!" Shippo curse as he massage his own temple chasing the headache away. "Sesshomaru-sama better start putting everything in order, or a utter pandemonium would really happen."

"Back off! Don't push! Please! Day class students can't go beyond this point at this hour." Yuki shout while pushing the other girls back in order

"Let's get a little closer" said another girl's as she try to sneak pass Zero

"If you try to take even one step forward.... I'll make you cry" said Zero as he stare at her coldly while she freeze in fear.

"Don't worry! Go for it! Be brave!"

"Kiryu isn't as scary nowadays. Just do it! Kiryu, you suck for threatening a girl"

"Hey...." Giving them a cold glare "You shouldn't give me so much trouble..." They snap their mouth shut as they all step back

While on Yuki's end,
"Wait! You really can't come any closer!" she was swarm by lot of fangirls

"Shall I help control them for you?" Aidou ask behind Yuki

"Huh?"

"Just kidding. Sorry everyone!" then proceed to pull Yuki inside the building, closing the door.

The other girls start complaining, Aidou is enjoying while Yuki having it hard.

"Aidou, you're making it difficult for the disciplinary committee member.... Yuki, don't take your duties so far that you end up getting hurt." Kaname kindly say while Yuki get fluster

"Um. Yes, I'll be careful. But if I let other rescue me, I'm of no use as a disciplinary committee member..... I mean-"

Before she can continue, the door open as she was suddenly grab by Zero

"Why did you let yourself be carried off? Come on, the chairman want to talk with you." He say as he pull her away from the other night class

Far away from the others
"Zero, it's been so long since we talk like this right?" Yuki start awkwardly, before stopping, looking at Zero's back who stop as well

"Why are you avoiding me? I hardly see you at night patrol and you're always ignoring me during crossover. Is it because I know now you're a vampire? It doesn't matter Zero! You're still you and I'm not afraid of you, Zero!" She said sadly as she try to take a hold of his cloth when he turn and step away, avoiding her hand.

"Not just because I'm a vampire now. It's because I'm more dangerous than what you think, Yuki. It's better for you to stay away from me. You will only get hurt getting close to me."

"Zero, I-"

"Please, don't make me hurt you..... Yuki." He state solemnly, as he then turn away, leaving Yuki alone frozen in her place when suddenly, a tear drop from her eye.

On the night class,

"There's a late arrival....a transfer student. How mysterious.... Something isn't right." Ichijo said as he look out the window

"Are you talking about the book you're reading?" Shiki ask while both he and Rima eat some chocolate cookies

"No. A transfer students is really coming here."

"Do you know about this, Zero?" Everyone turn suddenly to Rima, who without any fear poke Zero's cheek while he was leaning back on his chair, crossing his arm and closing his eyes, seemingly asleep.

Opening one of his eye, he humm then close his eye ignoring them all.

"When did you all get so chummy!?" Aidou hissed

Then a chuckle was heard when

"Hee hee. This looks like a fun group!" A young girl in a night class uniform was sitting on the teachers table as she happily regard them all.

"What? Class hasn't started yet?" She ask, tilting her head

"Who the hell....are you." Aidou ask while the girl narrow her eyes as she then jump swiftly to his table, cupping his face

"What!?" The others, specially Ruka and Aidou was scandalized by her boldness

"Hmm." She turn as if she only see the awkward atmosphere she created. "Forgive me, I think.... I've ruined the atmosphere." She then look up and see Zero who still have his eye close, ignoring everything.

She tilt her head as she curiously went up and stand infront of Zero. "How do you do? I'm Kurenai Maria" she greet.

Heart throbbing painfully, Maria suddenly feel like the time stop. Everything was engulf with darkness, nothing can be seen or hear, only her breathing and the beating of her heart.

Suddenly, she was pierce from the back. A hand went right through her chest. Eyes widen, she tried to turn her head to look at the one who attack her, and she see nothing. The hand that went through her chest is also not there and there's no injury at all.

Someone chuckle and as she turn to that direction, infront of her is an unusual teenage boy. Dress in red hakama/suikan, a mane of silver-white hair cover his eyes, and a top of that thick mane is an unusual sight, a dog ear.

The boy grin and a sharp fang peak behind his lip. "Oi, you've really take your time coming here huh. I almost want to kill everyone while waiting for ya, Hio Shizuka"

Then in that moment, she is no longer in Maria's body, instead she were now in her own true form.

"Ho. Who are you, boy?" She ask calmly

"Hahaha. That hurt Hio, ya don't even know me. We even have a bond!"

"You-" "Maria-san?"

She blink then she's back inside the classroom

"Maria-san, are you ok?" Beside her is Ichijo Takuma, worriedly looking at her.

She glance back at Zero who proceed to ignore her as he stare outside the window; she then turn to Ichijo, smiling politely as she said "I'm sorry, it seems like I'm not quite feeling well.
If you could please excuse me." And then she leave.

"What was that all about?" Shiki ask curiously as he glance at Zero.

In the forest, standing infront of a lake, Kanna and Hakudoshi watch the events happening around their father being reflected on the lake.

"That girl....."

"Hakudoshi, papa said not to interfere."

"Heh, so you're also told not to do anything huh" Appearing behind them, Koga and Ayame also stand beside them looking at the reflection on the lake.

"So have you found it?" Hakudoshi ask

"Papa, how's your rest?" Kanna ask as she comb his hair gently while he rest his head on her lap.

He stand up as he start to strip his shirt, showing pale(but not corpse pale), lean, and firm body which have no scar or mark except for the hunter mark on his neck and now a purple jagged stripe on one side of his body. "Tell Hakudoshi to clean up some insect who try to come here. I don't want to be disturb until everything will be over." He said coldly

"As you wish, papa...... But papa, that woman, she seem to have taken an interest to Yuki-san"

At this, Zero stop. "I'll deal with it. Don't do anything."

"Yes, papa"

At the day class, Yuki was just having the crisis of her life as she was just threatened by her class president, when suddenly their was a commotion. Yuki and Yori turn to see what it is all about.

"Don't go that way! The day class is still attending their classes! Maria!" Then they see Ichijo running after Maria.

Yuki was befuddled just a little bit when she snap out of it "This isn't good..... Why is the night class....?" She would have chase after them when someone suddenly grab her.

She turn around and was surprise to see another night class "Ido-Aidou?!"

"Hello Yuki!" He greet cheerfully

"Kyaaaaa!!!! Even Idol is here!"

"Noooo! He's holding her!"

The other girls start to get loud again.

"He he. The jealous girls will go crazy and bully you.... Cross Yuki" he tease

"Ughh.... please let go of me Aidou-senpai"

"Hehe..." He raise his hand, letting her go and then suddenly, he turn serious.

"Stay away from that transfer student. The vice president will take care of her"

And without waiting for her, he leave her be.

Suddenly being left like that, Yuki then found herself surrounded by a lot of glaring fangirls. Without wasting any second, she ran after leaving her books to Yori.

Walking down the step unhurriedly, Zero.... with a calm look on his face, stand infront of the door leading to a deserted entrance hall.

"So...... You really came. You can sense me, because there's a bond between us. Even though those eyes are different, they're still the same beautiful eyes from the past.... You are still my dear Zero." Maria greet as she stare at those beautiful golden eyes.

Zero walk closer, taking out his Bloody Rose and point it at her

She smile warmly at him. "It fills the emptiness in my heart now. You.....finally came to kill me."

At the center of a carnage of different type of Yokai corpse, Sesshomaru calmly wipe the blood splatter on his face, not caring at all at the bloody scene he created himself.

"Sesshomaru-sama?" Carefully called his loyal follower, Jaken

'Sesshomaru-sama seems to be in a bad mood recently. It seems it have to do with Him' he thought as he cautiously stay in the distance, careful not to catch the irritation of his Lord.

Zero coldly laugh "Haha. Servant?" He tilt her chin, making them face to face with each other. "Hio, one of the things I hated the most.....is being bound against my will. You...cannot have me."

"You're the first one who hasn't yielded to me. Good boy.... You make me so happy"

"Heh, then why don't you go back to your real body? Let's finish this and find out if you can bind me completely to you." He then shove her and then...

"Shizuka-sama!!!" Someone shout as they suddenly jump down, appearing infront of him and slice his chest, making Zero stagger back, holding his bleeding chest.

Kanna who is standing guard on the door stare at him apathetically ".... Father doesn't like to be disturbed."

"..... I see" Kaname finally said as he then close his eyes.

Zero raise his hand soaked in blood to stare at it "Heh~ seems like we're even now. Pity, I missed your heart"

Maria(Shizuka), was holding just above her right chest as blood seep right through her fingers, chuckle. "He he. Indeed, what a pity. You...are really different from what I expected. But... this is also good."

Zero then glance at the mask guy who just attack him and smile faintly

"So....you still remember me.... big brother" Ichiru said as he take out his mask, showing the same face as Zero.

Zero smirk at him before turning back to Maria. "Let's finish this the next time we meet. And at that time, I want to meet the real you."

"Hoh~ you're letting us go?"

"I don't have any interest in killing a borrowed body."

"I see. Then let's meet next time." She then turn away "I shall rest until tomorrow, Ichiru." And leaving the twins

Ichiru then stare at Zero. "You're eyes..... they're different." He stated as he step closer and hold his face closer to his, while Zero let him. "Now we're not the same anymore, big brother."

"Do you like it..... Now that we're different?"

"..... Yes"

"I see..... You've hated me so much that you've make me suffer and to kill me by your own hand." Zero then smirk as he then coldly whisper. "I won't let you, Ichiru. I will be the one who decide for that. You.... Don't hold my life"

Ichiru take a step back as he then once again look closely to his twin.

Zero tilt his head "you're not the only one who change, Ichiru. I've change, much more than you can imagine."

".....I see." He turn. "You better take care of that injury, big brother. Or you might bleed to death." and finally walk away, leaving Zero now alone.

After some time pass....

"You've let your guard down.... Zero"

Zero look up, "Koga" he said as he see him sitting casually on the railing.

"sigh.... What's with you and brothers wanting to kill you?" Koga ask as he jump down infront of him. "You look like hell." He commented

Zero scoff as he then turn and walk toward the door. Koga casually follow him as they exited.

"Papa" now, both Kanna and Hakudoshi are by his side when he open the door. He glance at the side when,

"What are you doing here..... Kuran-senpai?"

Leaning against the wall, Kuran Kaname open his eyes as he take a look at Zero. "You're still alive I see. It will be unfortunate if you were killed so early, but since I can now see your doing fine, I'll leave you be." He said as he straighten up. "But.... You should take care of that blood before you return, the smell of blood will make the night class restless." He finally say as he then turn to leave.

"What a bastard." Koga said as he then put his arm around Zero's shoulder. "But, you indeed need blood. Even though you're already turning into a Hanyou, you're still not completely awaken yet. The fast healing you have a long time ago is not yet the same as now, so you need to depend on your vampire side."

"Papa, I can go hunt for you." Hakudoshi eagerly offer before he was shut by a flick in the forehead.

"You're not going to do anything, brat."Zero scolded before glancing at Koga "Let's go" he said as he walk out

"You know that I won't give it to you so easily, right Zero?" Koga grin

Zero smirk back at him "Never wanted you to."

And they both left to the woods

"Shiki! Rima! You shouldn't go disturb someone's sleep!" Takuma whispered yell as he try to stop Shiki and Rima from barging to Zero's room

"I smell his blood last night and he didn't came back until this early morning." Shiki stated frankly

"That doesn't mean you should go and barge just like that on his room" Takuma reason. And now, the other night class is also now watching

"What's this all about? Hahh~" Aidou ask while yawning, already in his sleepwear

"They want to enter Kiryu's room" Kain answer

"Wah! Are they suicidal!?" Aidou ask incredulously

"Seem like it" Ruka also said watching from the side.

While they were all talking, the door open with a bang and came out Zero who is half naked and glaring at them.

"Ki-kiryu-kun! Sorry, they both really want to see you." Takuma tried to explain while Shiki and Rima came closer tugging at his arm

"No injury" Rima said as she finish her inspection, "But what is this? Look like tattoo" she ask, poking at the purple jagged stripe that stretch toward his chest.

Zero catch her hand and grip it gently as he try not to lose his temper. "What are you doing?" He patiently ask

"Checking" both answer. "I smell your blood last night" Shiki continue.

"......sigh, it's fine, nothing to worry about, I just need to rest." He finally said, letting go of Rima

The two finally seem to understand as they both finally back away.

"Then..... see you tonight?" Shiki ask as both look at him hopefully.

Zero humm, patting both their head then return to his room closing the door.

"Wha- what the fucking hell was that!?!"Aidou shockingly ask as not only him but also the other look at their two youngest in surprise.

"He didn't kill you?" Ruka added

Shiki and Rima look at them uninterested and with a monotone voice, they reply "he's actually kind.", "he's a softly." And with that, both leave the others froze in shock.

In a far away mountain, deep within it's forest is an abandon shrine; behind this shrine is a cave, that should have been sealed by a sacred ropes and paper talisman, which is already in tattered, burned and scattered uselessly on the ground.

Looking inside this cave, is nothing but a dark void, swallowing all light in it's mouth.

And in this dark forest, where the only light is from the fireflies surrounding the forest, a white figure step out from this dark void.

Another golden eyes coldly open itself upon this world, Sesshomaru regard the surrounding indifferently as he rest his hand on Tenseiga.

Zero sit up on his bed while still holding his chest. His heart is beating loudly and tint of red start to shroud his eyes.

(He's here, he came for us) says his Yokai

"I know. I can feel him."

Zero feel his Yokai grin
(He's furious hahaha..... Let's go and meet our dear older brother)

"No. Don't forget, this is the time we will end everything." He stand up, walking closer to the window and placing his hand where the full moon located. "No time to play"

He turn around "Kanna, Hakudoshi.... I leave it to you"

It doesn't take long for them to reply "Yes papa", "leave it to us papa" and then disappear.

In such a beautiful night, a ball, where both Night class and Day class are present, except for certain individuals.

"What a bummer, Zero's not here" Rima pout as she lean on Shiki.

"Now now~ you two, stop looking so down. The day class are all looking at us so let's be all friendly, ok." Takuma said trying to cheer the two up.

They've been like that since they were denied to see Zero by Kanna

"Um. Excuse me. Ichijo-senpai?" They all turn and find Yuki

"Oh Yuki. Is there something we can help you with?" Takuma ask kindly

Yuki look hesitant "Ah, is Zero-..... No." She shake her head and change her question "Kaname-sama isn't here?"

"The president is alone on the terrace." Takuma answer kindly as Yuki thank him then ran toward the terrace.

"Such a naive little girl." Hakudoshi suddenly stated as he appear from the side.

"Wha-! Hakudoshi, what are you doing here!?" Takuma ask flustered, pulling Hakudoshi to the side, away from the eyes of the others, on which the girls already seen

"OMG! So cute!"

"Who is that child!?"

"Is it one of the Night class brother?"

"Look! He's with Ichijo-senpai."

Such is the girls from day class comments, while the night class look with curiosity.

"He he.... Father's order. I need to keep everyone here safe and not let anyone interfere with father." He said smiling innocently

Takuma who feel something wrong, nervously ask. "What do you mean?-"

He then suddenly hear something fall and when he turn around.... a lot of students, both day class and night class started to fall unconscious one after another

"Wha-!?" And then he see purple butterflies flying around the whole place. With a flap of their wings, they seem to put everyone to sleep

"Those are the dream butterfly. A mystical entity with unique abilities that control and manipulate its victim's ability to sleep. A simple sleeping spell should have been enough but father didn't want to involve any humans or vampires in his business. But..... seems like you aristocrats and those much stronger are not affected huh." He said as he see the inner circle of Kaname still awake and alert along with the chairman who is looking around in panic

"What is happening here!?" He ask as all those awake gather.

Then came Kaname, holding an unconscious Yuki in his arm

"Seems like you have something to do with this, haven't you, Hakudoshi?" Kaname question while frowning.

Hakudoshi tilt his head and smile at them while he let one of the dream butterfly land on his arm.

"Don't worry, this things are harmless and are under our control. Father wouldn't want to harm anyone, so please stay here and not interfere. I already create a barrier around this whole place so you won't be harm by any means."

The chairman then now get serious. He crouch down infront of him and get a hold of his shoulder.

"Hakudoshi, tell me, what is Zero planning to do." He ask calmly

"Father will kill the pureblood who had bind him." His answer make the others look in shock at his bold admission.

Still inside the Cross academy ground, an abandon hidden garden, and with a stunningly white gazebo standing in the middle; a pure white bed where a beautiful sleeping woman is place inside the gazebo, with fireflies under the moonlight shine above the night sky, this make a spectacular sight.

Zero who is standing beside the bed, point his gun at the sleeping Hio Shizuka

"I wonder, will you die if I destroy your real body even if you're not occupying it?" He ask playfully, tilting his head as he stare directly at Maria(Hio).

"......such a clever boy you are, Zero. To think that you find and hide my body from me and use it to invite me in such a lovely secret garden of yours. I never thought you would do this. Even going so far to prevent Ichiru from entering. Are all of this for me?" She also ask curiously

Zero simply smile at her, putting the gun down, playing with it as he sit down on a chair beside the bed, facing Maria

"You can say that." He answer "You know, I could have played with your game and have you pureblood just kill each others........ but you see, it's not really how I do my things. I am the only one who will take your life."

"And how do you know such thing of my game?"

"My dear daughter can see everything in this Academy." This earn him a more curious look "Using Yuki is such a big mistake on your part Hio. She might be the right tool for you against Kuran, but not with me. Yuki is indeed precious to me, but she don't belong to my pack. I'm done taking care of human girls. I will not let myself be bind again just for the sake of one." He stated seriously and without any doubt. He truly meant it, that if given a choice between his freedom and Yuki's safety.... He will choose his self.

'I'm truly a cruel Yokai' he smile ruefully inside his mind.

"I see. What a pity. Are you going to kill me then?" She ask as she walk forward, directly toward her real body while Zero let her.

"Yes" He answer as he watch Maria take a hold of Hio's hand and the real Hio Shizuka open her eyes as Maria's body fall unconscious.

Outside the garden wall, a purple transparent barrier raise up to the sky like a dome. And outside of this barrier, is Ichiru who stare at the barrier in frustration.

"Konbanwa, Ichiru-san." Ichiru turn around to face the one who speak when he was suddenly faced by a little girl in an elementary school uniform, who's hair is white and holding a round mirror.

Ichiru take out his sword and point it at the little girl. He feel uneasy infront of this not clearly a human child.

"Who are you? Are you the one who created this?" He ask wearily

"I am Kanna, one of the daughters of Zero. And this barrier was created by my little brother..... You, Kiryu Ichiru, younger twin brother of our father, are not allowed to enter here."

"Daughters? Zero? What the hell are you talking about."

"Father is not the same person you once knew, he's different with everyone, not a mere human nor a turn vampire. He is a Yokai, reborn once again to this world; and he have a lot of children that was left in the last life, me and my brother are just one of them." She answer directly, while he look in disbelief. Before he can ask more, another person join them

"It seems like you're not convinced" she giggle. "But you see, everything she said is the truth." Walking out from the shadow, reveal Ayame in her glorious Yokai form, followed by two wolves.

She smile at him while her tail swing in a playful manner.

"Hajimemashite, Ichiru-kun"

Petting gently the sleeping Maria, Shizuka stare at the lone visage of Zero staring at the full moon while being bath with it's moonlight as he stand surrounded by fireflies.

With his cold and indifference toward the world, his unparalleled beauty under the moonlight; he look like a moon spirit or a moon fairy who is unaffected by the world outside.

"You're not just a turn vampire are you, Zero? You're something else. Something that is more monster, more cruel than us vampires."

".......Did you learn that from the bond?"

"Fufufu. Returning back to my body allow me to feel clearly what you are with our bond." She answer as she stand up and walk closer infront of Zero "I also feel how weak our bond is." leaning closer and hugging him "I don't have that much control of you don't I? and I have no doubt you'll be able to kill me...... Fufufu those children of yours are really vengeful, to think that they will poison the body of a pureblood...."

"Tsk, a miasma. I ordered those brats not to interfere yet seems like they disobey me."

"If you're the one who will kill me, it seems like I don't mind it even a little bit."

Putting one of his hand behind her head, he stare at her eyes..... before suddenly shoving his hand through her heart.

He lean down toward her ear and whisper "I will take your life whether you want it or not." He said as he proceed to pierce her neck with his fang then drink her blood.

Shizuka tilt her head up, looking at the beautiful moon, she raise her hand to Zero's hair, stroking it gently, like a mother to a child.

"Now, you've drink my blood. Once you tore my heart out, it will be the end of me and you will be free..... my dear heartless Zero...... I have given you my life..... in exchange, I would give you my last order as your Master.... will you listen to me, Zero?"

In the clear night sky where the full moon sit atop the heaven, a big white dog creature is seen flying under the full moon

A beautiful majestic beast travel at the night sky until it comes fort above the Cross Academy. Upon arriving at it's intending place, it howl upon the moon as his tightly hidden presence unleashed.

Hakudoshi, Kaname and Kaien(headmaster) along with the awake night class snap their attention at one direction.

"Fucking damn it! He's here"

Ichiru, Kanna and Ayame turn to look up above the sky as Ichiru have his eyes widen seeing a massive creature

"What the hell is that?!"

Zero who is holding Shizuka stare at the sky as the massive beast descent, easily bypassing the barrier created by Hakudoshi, destroying it in the process.

And now...... that massive white dog demon landed gracefully infront of him. It's red eyes stare at his gold one, before it lower toward Shizuka who is in his arm, and it growl angrily.

Upon hearing this, Zero bare his fang and also growl in a challenge. Jagged purple stripe appear on his cheek but his eyes still remain golden, showing that he's the one in control.

This is the scene Kanna, Ayame, and Ichiru find when rushing in.

Ichiru who saw Shizuka on his brother's arm want to rush toward them but was stop by Ayame. Zero notice this, look at Ayame and nod, allowing Ichiru to come closer.

"Shizuka-sama!" He called, as Zero pass her in his arm and he knelt, putting her in the ground and hugging her gently in his arm.

Hearing her name, Shizuka open her eyes to see her most trusted follower tearful face.

"Ichiru, what's the matter? You're crying like a child." She said as she gently wipe his tears.

Meanwhile

Zero step forward, his back towards them as he block them from this massive beast's eyesight. He growl warningly while the beast narrow it's eyes before it's body shift, starting to transform.

Long silver white hair, two magenta stripes on each cheek, same golden eyes like Zero's, and a crescent moon mark on the forehead. Face look like that of elf or an immortal spirit, he's so beautiful that one can't compare and he have such a cold, indifferent and powerful presence one would mistake him as an ancestor pureblood if not for the fact he didn't look human enough nor like a vampire at all.

Glancing at the two behind Zero. "I see you're still sympathizing with an enemy. You've never changed...... or more like you became too soft living with human once again."

"Yo. Long time no see Sesshomaru. It's been centuries and you're still a bastard." He answer rudely

"Is that how you should greet your elder brother, Inuyasha?"

This snap Ichiru as he glance at the two "Elder brother?" Ichiru ask confusedly while Shizuka glance at the man

"So you're the one who I'm feeling, the one who have such a strong bond to Zero and the one who is weakening my bond with him." Shizuka said as she look at those same golden eyes.

Sesshomaru glance at her coldly  "Inuyasha belong to this Sesshomaru. I would have killed you, and that boy following you, if I knew Inuyasha wouldn't rebel against me because of it. I would have killed you in the most painful way possible for daring to have a claim in my pup" he stated, claiming Zero as his while the latter scowl at his claim.

"Fufu.... Such a heartless world from a heartless being." She glance at Zero who still have his back on them. "I pity you.... Zero. You may be freed from me.... but you're tied to such a being worst than our kind." She finish as a crack appear on her face.

"Shizuka-sama!" Ichiru called worriedly

Turning back her attention to Ichiru, she smile gently, as more crack appear "Sigh... You're such a sweet child Ichiru, always by my side....you really did like me. If you're afraid of being alone, shall I remain with you?"

"What the hell is happening!?" Aidou ask in shock as they all feel a very powerful presence, more than that of a pureblood.

Hakudoshi who is looking outside from the balcony, just click his tongue in bad mood, glaring at the distance, as he clench his fist in show of anger.

"That....is the arrival of a DaiYokai.... one of the most powerful and dangerous being of the whole Yokai world, Sesshomaru."

"Sesshomaru? Isn't that the brother of Zero from the past life." Kain ask, remembering the explanation on Zero's past.

"That's right, he's finally here, which means he came for father."

"Isn't this bad. He killed him in the past didn't he? Did he came to kill him again?"

He scoff "I don't know what his plan is, but killing father is not it. He's the one who sent the wolves here to help his awakening, he's not the type to do unnecessary things just to kill father at the end." He explain as purple barrier, same with the barrier surrounding the whole building, encase him, raising him up to the air.

The chairman look in alarm "Haku! Where are you going!? Let us out"

"I'm going to my father's side. Follow if you have the power to break my barrier." He said before flying off

Kaname frown looking at where Hakudoshi took off, watching for a moment, before he turn around. With Yuki sleeping in his arm, he take her to put in a couch before he went to the door, every step he take, a cracking sound is heard

"Kaname-sama?" Called Ichijo

As he arrive at the entrance, the whole barrier shatter like a glass. He stop and look toward the night class behind him, face serious as he address them

"Stay here and protect Yuki and the rest of the students." He said as he then disappeared.

Ichiru watch as Shizuka's body shatter, leaving in its wake a shining pearl-like fragments and clouds of dust.

"You killed her....Zero..... You....and this Academy" he blame, glaring at Zero with sadness and anger in his eyes as he point his sword toward him; while Zero just look at him impassively.

"I already told you, didn't I. That I will kill her.... No one, not even you, Ichiru...can stop me. The only reason I didn't rip her heart out is for you to have time saying goodbye." He stated coldly.

Stepping forward, he's now within Ichiru's arm reach, disregarding the sword threatening to cut his neck.

He tilt his head, looking directly at his twin's eyes

"Are you going to kill me?" He ask, stepping forward, drawing blood on his neck. While Ichiru step back, clearly shaken by Zero's word and action

"What are you doing!?" He ask in shock, moving his sword away on Zero's neck but still point it toward his heart

While Sesshomaru, who was watching from the start, pull Zero back to him, putting his clawed hand on Zero's bleeding neck as he frown looking at the injury.

Zero glance at him before turning his attention back toward his twin, but didn't move away from Sesshomaru "You claim to hate me yet you're afraid to kill me. You have the perfect opportunity to take your revenge yet you didn't."

"What are you going all about!?"

"I don't have any plan to die in your hand, but.... I want to know.....if you will truly try to kill me if given the chance." He said as he hold the blade pointed at him, making his hand bleed from the cut. Sesshomaru tighten his grip on his shoulder while Ichiru widen his eyes in astonishment

"You-"

"What the hell do you think you're doing to papa!?!"

BOOM!!!!

They all jump away when the place they where before, are now pierce by a naginata held by Hakudoshi

"Don't you dare touch papa with that poisoned claw of yours!" Shout Hakudoshi, glaring at Sesshomaru before he wield his naginata and point it at Ichiru.

"And you, I don't care if you are papa's twin brother, but once you point that sword again toward papa, I will never forgive you."

"Hakudoshi" one word is all it takes and everything became silent. The heavy pressure root everyone within the vicinity to where they're standing.

Sesshomaru who is not affected simply watch as Zero walk toward his own pup, putting one of his clawed hand on his head

"Enough" he say simply and Hakudoshi lower his head like a scolded child infront of their parent.

Zero, after taking control of Hakudoshi, now turn toward his twin brother, giving him his attention.

"Ichiru, I don't care whether you hate me or not. But your hesitation to kill me is an enough reason you still care about the bond we have. With that, I'll give you a warning.... the man you're looking for, is more dangerous than you think. You're only running toward your grave if you continue."

Hearing Zero's word make Ichiru snap his attention toward him. Frowning, he stare at his twin unusual glowing golden eyes, seeing the calm but serious look on them

"Tsk.... You can't stop me, nii-san. I'll do whatever I want." Closing his eyes, he turn his back on Zero as tinkle of small golden bells follow his move. He look at the bells in his hand as his eyes became determine. "The next time we met, we are enemy, Zero-nii" he said as he walk away.

Watching his twin brother disappear to the forest, Zero started to feel faint as he stagger back before being catch by Sesshomaru.

He blink at Sesshomaru with heavy lidded eyes, clearly getting sleepy.

"Sesh-"

"Hn, sleep Inuyasha"

Too tired to fight it, Zero fall unconscious toward his brother's arm.

Hakudoshi glare at Sesshomaru before letting is slide, while Kanna run toward them, looking worriedly at Zero.

Sesshomaru ignore all of them as he lift Zero up and proceed to walk away, not sparing any glance toward the children who follow him quietly from behind or toward the wolf queen who watch them leave and also disappear.

Opening his eyes a little bit, he see a white blurred figure standing on his side. It move and reach for him.

It's been two week since the disappearance of Zero, Hakudoshi, Kanna, Ayame and Koga from Cross Academy.

Weeks since the death of a pureblood which result in chaos within the vampire society and hunter association.

But even with this, life within the academy still continue. Day class are curious where one of their prefect went, only assuming he take another break, the only exception are those who are awake that Night.

A tense silent fall within Kuran Kaname's office where Kuran and the whole inner circle are in

"So you can't even find him, Seiren?" Kuran ask the kneeling girl infront of him

"I apologize Kaname-sama." She answer before being dismiss.

Kaname sigh.

"Kaname-sama, what should we tell the Senate? It's clear that Kiryu-kun kill Hio Shizuka. Even without any witness.......what Hakudoshi told that night and Maria's own confession, Kiryu....." Takuma stop, knowing everyone already understand it without continuing

Kaname close his eyes, thinking..... when did everything became a mess. Ever since Zero's disappearance, a hollow like feeling on his chest appear, reminding him...... how everything suddenly became dull.

This past months, ever since Zero suddenly change, he never left his mind. His change disrupt his plan. A careful plan that has taken years to put, completely destroyed since the day Zero abandon his humanity. The knight he'd chosen.... is not a part of his chessboard any longer. Zero will no longer protect Yuki.

But this is not what make him worried and frustrated..... it's the fact that his attention was easily focus to Zero. This fixation.....he thought it's just because he don't want to lose his best chest piece for his plan. But no, since he disappear, he doesn't care about the foiled plan, he's more unsettled not having Zero on his sight.

When....?

When did it turn out like this?

When did he find Zero so interesting?

Kaname then finally open his eyes. "In any case, I must report this to the Senate. The fact that someone committed a taboo.....and killed a pureblood."

Unnoticed by all of them, Shiki and Rima who are standing a little bit further, are watching everything silently. Both hide their emotion in their apathetic face, but their displeasure shows on how their fist tighten.

The next day, in the headmaster office, Yuki face the headmaster, being more and more upset at her adoptive father lack of news.

"I'm sorry Yuki, we're all really looking for Zero-kun but there's still no news of his whereabout." Say the headmaster sadly

"B-but it's already been weeks."

"Sigh~ I know Yuki, we're doing our best looking for him, the only saving grace we have is that the Senate haven't found him yet."

Yuki blink in confusion at his last words. "Senate? What? why? Why are they also looking for him?"

The headmaster look at her seriously, and carefully tell "there's something important I should tell you, Yuki. Zero....he killed a pureblood. He killed Hio Shizuka."

Shock. Yuki's eyes widen in disbelief. "N-no....no y-you're wrong....Zero can't.. Zero won't do such thing." She whispered in denial

The headmaster only look at her sadly "It's already been confirmed. The Vampire Senate already suspect Zero from the very start, and with his disappearance, they had became more suspicious and had send their people to look for him. They even came here to demand his whereabout but Kaname-kun send them away."

Yuki step back in distraught as she process everything. 'This is not suppose to happen. I'm suppose to give my blood to Shizuka so she can save Zero and free him. Now, Zero is..... he's not suppose to be hunted like a criminal' she thought, eyes stinging in tears as the headmaster come closer and hug her

"I'm sorry Yuki" his last words before she succumb to crying.

"The Senate plan to execute Zero!? And the Hunter Society is just going to stand by and watch!?" Yagari Toga yelled as he confront one of Hunter association top.

"If Zero killed a pureblood, there's nothing we can do." Said an elder woman but this only make Toga more angry

"That pureblood princess should have been put on our list long ago! Why does Zero have to die!?"

"Yagari..... what would happen if we condoned the killing of pureblood? You know the vampire society would no longer be able to maintain law and order"

Far away from the center of the storm, while everything is in chaos, sitting at the edge of a cliff with his legs dangling, a teenage boy dress in simple white shirt, a black pant and a black haori with red spider Lily pattern; silently watch the light of the dawn while listening to the events being projected by a round mirror lying on his side. What's make everything more unusual is the big puppy dog ear sitting atop the head of the boy.

After hearing something amusing for him, the boy burst out laughing

"Pft! Hahahahaha!!!! Those imbeciles fool!!!! Execute!? Who? Me!? Hahahaha" He grin in childish glee as he pick up the mirror, golden eyes narrow in amusement as he stare at the image of his master, still fighting to defense him.

"Heh~ master's really mad."

As he watch the scene on the mirror, the scent of his elder brother catch his attention. Glancing toward the forest behind him, ears twitching in concentration and nose scenting the air, after some minute..... appearing from the shadow of the forest, is his elder brother, Sesshomaru.

He glare at him before asking in annoyance "What do you want now, Sesh? I already told you, I'm not going back." he growl as the faint red marks on his cheek becoming more darker, as his emotion is being influence by his Yokai.

When he awaken, days ago...... He remember everything, but that's not the issue right now. After waking up and process everything, Sesshomaru, without giving any warning had basically told him, he is his heir. The next ruler of the Western land in his brother's demise (keh! Like that ever happen) and if he doesn't sire any pup of his own.

Like WTF

When did he became the heir? Because as far as he remember, they don't have that kind of relationship. Sesshomaru practically killed him. 'And now, he want me to return with him?' He snort 'fucking hell no'

Sesshomaru just smirk on his blatant disrespect as he walk to his side, ignoring the glare that followed him.

"No need for such alarm, Inuyasha. I understand that you don't want to return yet to our own world," he then glance at the mirror as he add "I will not force you to leave your new pack mate, but your role as my heir will not change. Sooner or later, you will return, whether with your pack mate or not."

"Tsk. I won't force them to leave their current life."

"But from what can I see, your chosen pack mate will choose you if given a choice."

With this, Zero scowl as he turn back on the mirror "The headmaster will choose the school and it's students" his only reply. Not commenting on the other.

After some minute of silence, he shrug and lightly said, "And they're not the only reason though. There's still something left I have to do-"

"Your promise toward that woman is just an excuse for you to run wild in this land, little brother." His brother interrupt. "Your bloodlust is enough to know your true intention"

"Keh! It's not like I'm going to destroy the world though. I'll just help clean some trash. Heard this one is just like Naraku. Power hungry fuckers, the lot of them." He spat as he fall on his back, now looking up at the sky.

Silence befell the two, as they both enjoy the tranquil moment they rarely share toward each other.

After some time, Zero then broke the silence

"Oi Sesh, you're not going to stop me right?"

Running away from enemy that cannot be seen, two level E run frantically in the dark alley like a prey. Fourteen others already died at the hand of their unknown predator as another smell of blood drift toward them before they both dodge a bloody red blades that form like a claw mark on the ground that it hit.

Normally, the smell of blood would have make them bloodthirsty, but this one......make their instinct go wild in fear, making them want to cower, hide and run.

"Shitshitshit!!!! I'm going to die at this rate!" One of them say before the other one was strike by the same attack and turn to dust. "Fuck!!!" And before he can run again, a clawed hand grip his neck as he then pummeled to the ground.

"Hahahaha!!!!!! Got ya." Zero laugh like a child playing tag as he crouch down still holding down the guy in his neck.

"Ugghh.... P-please don't kill me" the level E beg, lying limp, so not to trigger the beast anymore.

"Heh~ but I'm just helping, you know. Level E are really pitiful being. Better for them to die than to let themselves fall in this hell called life." He said as his grip tighten, depriving the other with air, making them struggle

"P-please!!! It's not even us who want this! We never want any of this! W-we just want to live normally but the thirst is too much. No matter how much we try, we can't control ourselves!"

"So are you just going to kill anyone just for you to live? Tell me, is that really what you all want? Killing your family, your friends and everyone you know just for you to continue this pitiful life?" This stop the guy from struggling as he suddenly remember a painful past

Zero, who seen the pain and regret in his eyes, just smile sadly, he release his neck and take out Bloody Rose then point it toward his heart

"This will only hurt a little. There's no need for you to suffer this life."

The man only look at the being on top of him. He doesn't know who or what he is, but only one thing is for sure, 'so beautiful' the creature who's silver hair now shine with the moonlight, molten gold eyes which doesn't belong to this world along with those puppy ears atop his head, and that beautiful face which can only be compare to that of a spirit, a moon beast spirit.... or right now, a death angel.

He close his eyes, accepting the death the angel offer him. 'Maybe now, I can finally see them again' he thought as the gun goes off

Standing up and dusting away the ash on his cloth, Zero holster his gun as he then turn to one of the darkest corner of the alley

"What is it, Kanna?"

Appearing from the shadow, Kanna smiled toward him as she show him the mirror. "There's a soiree being held tonight by vampires papa. It's not that far from here and it seems that Yuki-san somehow end up present there as well."

Zero blink in confusion "Yuki? Is Kuran there?" He receive a nod "Hmm. As long as Kuran Kaname is there as well so there's no need to worry. But soiree huh...... look boring. Is there anything else Kanna?"

The mirror then show a little kid with different colored eye, blue and red, who is then leaning in one of the corridor.

"He's the one who trick Yuki to that place. I think that he's targeting Yuki-san"

"Heh~ so he began to move now huh. But why target Yuki?"

"Do you want me to look into it papa?"

"........I always wondered why Kuran so interested with Yuki, and now, another one is after her. Yuki never remember her past, so it has probably something to do with it." He thought aloud before returning the mirror back to Kanna.

"Kanna, start with Yuki's past and her relationship with Kuran Kaname and that bastard. If I want to hunt that bastard down, then I need to know what he wants and why Yuki is part of it."

"Ok papa." She beamed at him before leaving.

Zero now left alone, "hmm~ I wonder if they are there?" He said out loud before he turn and left toward another direction, hoari fluttering behind him as he jump up toward a building.

At the night gala;

Shiki and Rima who's not fan of the gathering went outside to get some air, waiting for the events to end, when they felt it. A tug toward their chest, a pull toward something they didn't fully yet understood but they know it has something to do with someone. Zero.

They then run toward the pull and then stop at the back of the mansion. Standing there at the top of the wall, is Zero who is so different from the last time they've seen him.

"Heh~, didn't thought you'll find me so fast. It's been a while, Shiki, Rima. Have you been eating well?" Zero smirk as he jump down

"Zero!" They then throw themselves to him, making them all fell hard on the ground.

"Gahh!!!! The hell. Why the fuck-"

"Stupid Zero! Disappearing so suddenly like that and without any news for weeks. We're so worried specially now that you're wanted by the Senate." Rima scold as she pound on his chest

"Owowowow! Ok ok I'm sorry! I'm sorry for suddenly leaving you." He said, holding Rima's hand as he then pat both their head.

Some minutes of appeasing and cuddling, both vampire now calm down as they both take in his appearance.

Shiki and Rima both look at the puppy ear sitting atop Zero's head in awe, and they both can't help reaching for each, tugging it lightly before both their hand was stop by Zero "Ok, stop it right there. My ears are not fake and they're sensitive so please don't touch it." He said as his ears twitch

Both turn to his blushing face. "Cute" said Rima while Shiki smirk at him. Both still pinning Zero on the ground so they can see all his reaction.

Before they can continue to tease him, both stop when they still hear the ongoing music from the gala and they remember where they are.

They stood up as Rima pull Zero, walking away quickly from that place. "Not here. No one should know you're here." They then take one of the car leaving their chauffeur fainted on the ground as Shiki drive it away from that place.

Readying now to leave, the night class notice the absence of their two youngest.

"Where did those two went this time. It's time for us to return to Cross Academy." Aidou complain loudly when one of their servant come toward them panicking.

"Young masters, young lady! We found one of the chauffeur unconscious behind the bushes and it seems like one of the car is missing." They report

"What!? Is he ok? What happened?" Takuma ask worriedly

"He regain consciousness a little while and he said that the one who did it are Shiki-sama and Rima-sama before they stole the car away."

The other drop their jaw in bafflement, before Kaname step up "We should return now. We won't know the reason until we see them and hear their explanation. Staying and waiting here won't do anything. We should wait for them back at the academy." He ordered as all of them left.

Kiryu Ichiru, twin brother of Zero, was now standing outside on a cold night after sending back the head of the Senate, Ichijo Asato.

"Working now for the Senate huh?" Ichiru whirled around in surprise, hearing the voice of a kid.

"You!?" Sitting at a sturdy branch of a tree, is a child. The same child at that night who suddenly appear and attack them. The one who call Zero his papa.

"What are you doing here!?" He hissed as he look at the surrounding for any people.

"Hehe. Relax, we're the only one here." He said as he jump down from the tree. "Entering the Senate just to get close to your real enemy, very clever." He grin as he then threw a jar full of blood in which Ichiru catch in surprise.

"Wha-"

"It's a Yokai blood mixed with miasma. It's a potent poison that can weaken and even kill anyone. Use it as you see fit."

A gust of wind suddenly appear, forcing him to shield his eyes. After that, he look up, to see nothing of the child. The only evidence he's been there, is the blood of Jar he's still holding.

At an abandon villa on the hillside(that was cleaned recently), sleeping in one of the room there, are Zero and the two night class in which are lying on each of his side, cuddling with each other. Curtains are drawn to not let any sunlight enter the room except for a little rip here and there.

Sesshomaru enter the room just to see these view. He merely raise one of his eyebrow at the sleeping trio before leaving the room.

Outside the headquarters of the vampire hunter society, sitting on one of the roof of the surrounding building, Kanna open a book that hold the record of reports from ten years ago. After some minute of skimming through the pages, coming to the certain part recounting the winter report, the page suddenly engulf in flames.

Kanna only stare at the burning page until it turn nothing but ash.

"Heh~ interesting. Seems like Yuki's past are full of mysteries." Hakudoshi said appearing suddenly behind Kanna.

"It's a dead-end here" said Kanna standing up, taking the book with her back to the headquarters.

"Oh, you're going back their personally? Is there something interesting there that you should personally see for yourself?" He ask, following her

"We know that the hunter association are somehow corrupted by the vampires thanks to Shizuka's memories. Papa ignore them for now but it's better to check everything"

"Heh~ sound boring. Then I go check back at the Academy. There's an interesting new person who seems to be more fun" he said as they both then disappear from the darkness.

It's been a whole day before Shiki and Rima woke up, the smell of food woke them up as they both walk out of the room, wearing sleepwear given by Zero, following the smell into the kitchen. Standing there, is the familiar sight of Zero cooking, just like the time when he's still at the Cross Academy cooking for them.

"Sit down, food is already done." He said as he turn to them, bringing two plate of food at the table. They eat in comfortable silent

After eating, he take the plate and start washing, the two only watch until he finish.

"Zero, are you really not coming back?" Ask Rima when they all settle in the living room which is so bare except for some rip couches that is covered by clean clothes.

"We can even ask for Kaname-sama to protect you from the Senate. Kaname-sama understand why you kill her and he's already talking with the Senate to drop the hunt." Shiki said

Zero only chuckle and ruffle both their head. "That's kinda impossible now, Shiki, Rima. As you can see, I don't look humane at all, with tattoo mark on my face, claws and large dog ear, it's easy to see I'm not human."

Rima pout "But what about Koga-san and Ayame-san? they can transform to look more human."

"Yes they can, but I don't have that kind of ability. Moreover, I can move more freely out of the Academy. And I don't need protection." He grumble at the end.

The two smile at his grumbling but still confusedly ask. "Move freely?"

Zero grin "I'm on a hunt. But....... before I can tell you more, I want to make something clear between us." He then raise his palm, prick it with his claw and watch as his blood flow out with his yōki channeling it, swirling above his palm. The two eyes glowed red with Zero's blood. Using his Yōki, he manipulate his blood to construct and manifest it into two red crescent moon, one turn into a pendant while other turn into an earring.

"You probably already felt the bond we have with each other. It's the same bond I have with my children, though incomplete, still new and easy to break." He then present the two moon to them "Accepting these is the same as accepting my claim to you."

Shiki and Rima look at each other before turning back to him. "Does Kanna and Hakudoshi also have these?" Ask Shiki

"No. My claim toward them and the others are absolute, they are mine and mine alone. But, you two are different. You already belong to Kaname. I never thought I got attached to you two. I don't normally like dealing with Kuran, but if it's for you two, I don't mind it. I'm not forcing you to choose between us, all I'm asking is for you to not betray me and come to me if you ever need or want to."

".......we, also never thought that we'll also get attach to you. You've taken care of us and treat us the same with Kanna and Haku. We got spoiled by you, and we like it."

"When you disappear, it doesn't feel right without you. And when the Senate make you a wanted criminal, we hated it."

"Even though we're suppose to show reverence to pureblood, we don't really care about it."

"Heh~ so you don't care if I kill another pureblood then?" Shiki and Rima widen their eyes in shock at his question before finally understanding his earlier world and his offer now.

Both of them then finally reach a decision when they both take the moons. Rima taking the pendant "We don't like it when you disappear, we hate it more if you leave us."

And Shiki taking the earring "We don't mind if you're killing pureblood. We already accept it the first time you did it."

"Will you still choose him if he start a war?" A different voice ask startling the two

"Tsk, it's not a war I'm looking for Sesshomaru." Zero said in irritation as he glare at Sesshomaru who is at the entrance

Shiki and Rima look at the new person wearily, hearing his name already make them aware who this being is. His beautiful inhuman appearance, add with his cold and dangerous presence, he's someone they wouldn't want to cross with.

The two nod in agreement before they turn and bowed in respect toward Zero's elder brother. They don't know why, but his presence indeed demand respect, just like how they feel towards purebloods. "We may not know what the future holds for us, but we will not be the one who will endanger Zero", "We will never betray his trust." The two vowed, looking directly at Sesshomaru's eyes before they left and followed Zero.

At the Cross Academy, the night class are sitting anxiously at the living room.

"Where did they go? I should have watched them carefully. What if something happened to them?" Takuma worriedly pace before a maid suddenly enter

"Ichijou-sama, Shiki-sama and Rima-sama are back."

The whole group got up as Takuma ask hurriedly where they at.

"They are now being escorted back by the prefect."

The door then open and at the entrance is their missing members with the prefect Cross Yuki and Takamiya Kaito, the assistant teacher and the new prefect who was invited by the headmaster when Kiryu Zero disappear.

"Shiki! Rima! Where were you? Are you ok? You make us so worried when you suddenly disappear." Takuma fret before thanking the prefects.

"Shiki, Rima." Everyone quiet down, when at the top of the stairs, stood Kuran Kaname. "It's good to see you safely return. But I would like to hear your reason in my office. Yuki, Takamiya-san, thankyou for escorting them." He said politely to the flustered Yuki and annoyed Kaito, who then left.

The two silently follow their leader toward his office, leaving the others looking at them worriedly.

"Tell me, is there some reason why you suddenly left that I should know about?"

"Does it have something to do with that pendant and earring your wearing now?"

"!!!"

"Even if it's faint, it does have a fragrant scent on it, the smell of lilac, lavender and wild forest. The same scent of Kiryu." Leaning on the windowsill, Kaname look at them with a searching stare. "Did you met Kiryu?"

The two only stay silence gripping each other's hand, unwilling to say anything.

"No need for you to question them you know. It's pretty obvious you know who was with them just a moment ago." Everyone snap their attention at the child now sitting on the table swinging his legs back and forth.

"Hakudoshi" he narrowed his eyes at the child

"Hehe... Wanting father to be on your chessboard once again, there's no way. Father will never be used by you. We know what you did, Kuran. Don't think everything will go according to your plan, especially if you involve father." He said grinning, while his eyes promise vengeance.

He then jump down then face Kaname directly "But we have the same objective..... Neh~ Kuran Kaname, let's make a deal."

Shiki, now in his and Takuma room, are now still being fret by Takuma who now turn into full-blown mother hen.

"Ichijo-san" Shiki start, stopping Takuma "if...... there comes a time where I will choose a side not of Kaname-sama.....will you hate us?" Takuma look at him dumbfounded

"Wha- what are you talking about, Shiki?" He ask confusedly

"...........This....... is only the first time I finally choose for my self. I've been living like a quiet obedient puppet all these time. Only at the Academy, can I live freely, but I never make a choice of my own." He touch the red moon earring on his right ear, which Takuma only now notice (which is weird because it's so eye-catching not to be notice at first) "You're one of the few I trust with everything. Sitting at the bottom of the staircase, is a woman with disheveled appearance.

Shiki, who just arrive, walk close to the woman. "I'm home.....mother"

"Senri! Senri!" The woman call longingly, hugging him while he hug back

"Please brush your hair. The fans you had when you were an actress would cry seeing you like this." He said as he guide her to her room, to brush her hair.

While brushing his mother's hair, they both talk about his father, until the conversation turn into the letter given to him by his mother.

"A letter......from the Senate. Yesterday my uncle, the senator......told me to make sure I send you over for a visit. Uncle doesn't have any children.....so he wants you to take over his seat one day. We can't refuse a request by the Senate....but hurry back." She said as she turn to him, hugging him once again. "Give me some blood.... I'm hungry."

"Greedy, as usual.....all right." allowing her, to take his blood.

Unnoticed, the crescent moon earring glow red. At the same time, outside the mansion, is a copper colored fox, sitting patiently at the entrance.

Blood

All he could see is blood. Bloods that cover the whole alleyway with corpses that littered everywhere.

The sound of blood dripping echoed in the alley, as it is the only sound aside from the rustle of his haori can be heard.

Blood drip from his tainted claw.....not of his blood, but the blood of all the corpses now lying in the cold hard ground

"Seiren... No need to force yourself to stay any longer if you're that afraid" tilting his head, glowing slit eyes of a predator on a hunt stare directly at the hidden girl in the shadow.

Seiren who was hidden very well was shock to be discovered so soon. She step back in weariness and a well concealed fear, having those eyes on her. She feels like a prey infront this new Kiryu Zero.

He chuckle "Your death doesn't interest me, Seiren. I don't plan to make a war with Kuran and I don't want to make it difficult to those children." Seiren, despite of fear, perk up. She need to gather more information for her master despite the danger.

"Children? Do you mean Shiki Senri and Toya Rima?" She ask, still wondering about the connection between the three.

"Heh~ pretty brave of you to not run away immediately after I allow you. Kuran's order must be the highest priority huh? Even after witnessing such a bloody massacre, you're indeed brave to stay and watch the whole thing." He said, walking closer to Seiren who froze in her place. The feeling of prey being stalk by a predator doesn't disappear one bit.

Finally directly infront of her, Zero rest his hand on her shoulder as he lean down to whisper in her ear. "Go now little shadow. The full moon is still high up and it's making me quite drunk. More blood will flow these streets, so better leave before you are caught in it."

Seiren watch in stiff silent as Zero walk away in this dead silent night. And suddenly, a Fox with a shocking 5 tails, swaying behind it, appear beside him. At the same time, the corpses was suddenly engulf in blue fire, making her jump away from the alley. She turn in nervousness to look for any witnesses, but there's no human on sight from the very start, making everything more eerie.

"Humans are put to sleep. No human blood will be spilled. Go back to your master and tell him our father is not some uncontrollable beast he thought he can use." A whisper of a young man echo throughout the night, before Zero and the fox disappear from her view.

"Welcome" Ichiru greet, bowing to Shiki Senri as he enter the mansion

"Thanks for coming.....Senri."

"Long time no see, great-uncle." Greet Shiki apathetically to his great uncle

"How's she doing?" His uncle ask while he follow him

"Well.... she was better than I expected... She fired all her servants though."

"I know, I've made arrangements to get new help. Don't worry about her. Instead, I want to show you something."

They both then walk down the basement. As they arrive at a door, Senri feel something wrong

"I don't like this. What is it your really showing me? Don't tell me it has something to do being your heir. I already said I don't want to."

"You're no longer a child.....so as a member of Shiki family, you have a duty to know....the secret we have worked so hard to conceal."

He then open the door as the pungent smell of blood rush out of the room. Inside, there's a big funnel hanging just above a stone open coffin filled with blood as more blood slowly drip down from the said funnel.

"Here.... I've been protecting him... This is your father."

".....I thought he was dead." He then look at all the blood "This is gross...."

"How could you say that to your own flesh and blood? I've manage to regenerate quite a bit. But this is about all I can do for now. So.... I was looking forward to seeing you all grown up." A kid, with different colored eyes said leaning so casually at the stone coffin.

Senri's great uncle then kneel down "we're ready, my Lord." After saying this, the kid slump down.

Blood splatter as the body rise from the coffin.

A man with the different eyes raise his hand toward Senri "My dear son....Senri....I am in need of your body."

Kaname open his eyes as the flower on the side started to wilt with his aura acting up in anger. "I see....he has made his move. He should've stayed asleep."

Shippo who follows him a moment ago back away immediately after sensing the K.I. He watch in safe distance as Inuyasha/Zero laugh in a dangerous tone.

He only heard this when his Yokai is the one in control, but now..... The one who's in control is definitely Inuyasha.

"Shippo" he turn to see Inuyasha looking at him. Even without words, he already understand what he wants, so he nod and turn to leave. He have job to do.

"Nuh-uh, even if you're interesting, I still don't trust you regarding our father. You hunters are also suspicious. I might trust Yagari Toga, but the rest of you? I'll kill you before you can think of doing anything to papa"

Kaito look at the child face, and he swear, what he said, he truly mean it.

A tilt, golden eyes glowing with the moonlight as pale slender hand combing through the fur of a reddish-brown fox lying on his arm.

Zero look at the one who dared to call upon him in a middle of a hunt.

"Long time no see...... Kuran" releasing the fox in his arm, Zero jump down from the rooftop of a building.

With the smell of blood still so strongly clinging to him and the sudden bloodlust in the air, Zero grin like a predator as he claw his arm then swing his bloody claw toward Kaname.

"I don't know what you're thinking, looking for me even though it's clear how much I detest you. Kuran, you shouldn't have appear infront of me!"

Another bloody claw was release, still missing the other. Frustrated, Zero prepare to bite his arm to draw more blood but his arm was then caught by a strong hand as he was then slammed to the ground and pinned by Kaname.

"Bastard! Let go before I claw you myself!"

"Are you done?"

"Not done! You dare come infront of me. If you have just stayed back at Cross Academy then I would have leave you alone. But you dare to come out. You should had known, Hio Shizuka's blood is already running through my vein, she had shown me what happened that time. Now you tell me, how can I not detest you!?" He growl

"So you want to kill me?"

"Keh! I wish I could. But right now, all I want is to at least claw your face!"

Zero then kneed his stomach, turning them around and quickly taking out Bloody Rose to point at him.

".....if I could just kill you right now, I would. Tell me Kuran, why are you here? Shouldn't you be with Yuki right now?"

A reddish-brown fox sit at the edge of a building, watching everything lazily as it yawn cutely in boredom.

Jumping down on the floor, he walk closer until his infront of him. "Seeing that scratch mark on your neck, I take that you met father. Did he drink your blood?" He ask cheekily

Kaname stay silent before he turn, looking back at Yuki, sleeping.

"Zero refused my blood. He would rather spill them all on the ground than to devour it."

"Haha, I can clearly see that. He's very clear on what he wants and what he hates. Either way, if father doesn't want it, then there's no need for it." Taking out a small vial with green liquid inside, he hand it to Kaname

"Since father doesn't want to use your blood, all we can do is weaken that man right?"

Crossing his arm as he lean back on the door, he stare pensively at Hakudoshi ".......you seem to be overly underestimating Zero, doing all of this."

Hakudoshi loose his grin, turning serious "Father is strong, stronger than anyone we know. But he just awaken and still a puppy. He never been considered matured in his entire life as a Yokai. He had that chance when he truly become a father but that was taken away from him. Me and my siblings cannot trigger his Yokai to evolve. Even though he's our father, he's not the Alpha of the pack. Having his own family may break him apart from Sesshomaru-sama, but that didn't happen. So right now, father is still vulnerable. It may seem like we're underestimating him or being too overprotective of him, but we'll do everything and anything for him. That include,"

Shippo in his fox form, race within the forest, setting level E in blue flames, one after another. It didn't take long before he finish, that the light start to break the darkness of night.

"It's so hard gathering them all up and cornering them all here to kill. Hakudoshi better pay me for doing so many extra job for him." He grumble while licking his paw.

At his side, sat a round mirror

"If you don't want to deal with protecting all human students, better take care of them right now before it became unmanageable." Came the voice of Hakudoshi from the mirror

"Oh, you done with your small secret business? I still don't understand what you're still doing there aside from looking after our new little sister. Papa has been looking for you, you know."

"Nah, he's just wondering where'd you been. He's been quiet actually. It surprise me the first time seeing papa so calm and cold. He sometime act like the old Inuyasha but..... I think it's better this way."

Stretching and then jumping down, he stalked away, leaving the forest covered in ash

"My children thought they're all acting so good but I know my children well. They are vengeful. Haku specially is a schemer, a sadist who love to torment others. But he's overprotective just like the other. I know he's somewhere doing another of his scheme like that time with Hio Shizuka. They're all just busy right now it's easy to escape my children's watchful eyes." He stated casually

Yagari only snort at their antic before giving his missing student a searching look before asking seriously "You'd been missing for months and only just appear now before us. What are you planning, Zero?"

Zero smile darkly, fangs peaking out as his eye glow in the dim light. "Hunting a pureblood, and probably some fuckers too." His head tilt "that include a hunter"

The two look at him in shock silent until Kaito break out first

"Most Yokai are creature of the night, it's easy to inspire fear within the darkness, that's why it's also easy to bring that darkness to cover the light."

"I see. Then for you to seek for me?"

This time, Zero walk closer until they're both at arm reach.

Kain and Aido, who were walking around the campus, stop as they watch Kurenai Maria walk toward them

"Konbanwa Kain-san, Aido-san." She greet both of them. "May I ask both of your time? I would like to talk to you both in private." She smile harmlessly

It didn't take that long for them to arrive at a secluded part of a garden. The same place where Hio Shizuka died.

"With your confuse look, I take it that Kaname-sama hasn't told you anything." She said softly. "Kuran Rido, do you know of that name?"

"Kuran Rido, uncle of Kaname-sama who disappear many years ago." Kain answer

"And now, he finally appeared. The Cross Academy is the battlefield between the two pureblood and their followers, but Kaname-sama made a deal with Hakudoshi."

"Deal?"

"Zero is the weapon prepared meticulously by Kaname-sama scheme to kill Rido. But with the Yokai appearance, everything was thrown aside. In exchange for their help, the Kuran will have no any kind of relation to Zero anylonger. That is content of their deal."

With careful move, she take out something from her back. Something long that was covered in cloth and present it to them.

"Zero will return to the Academy to kill Rido. That's why," she then push the object to them, passing it to Akatsuki's hand "if you want to help your Kaname-sama, you'll help me."

"That sky..... It look like it will snow soon." Kain commented "It's good that the Yokai are taking care of the low level vampires and guarding Yuki, but will this be enough?"

Kaname watch inside the classroom as the cloud hide the moon.....with his hand on his neck, the still unhealed claw mark throb painfully under his palm.

"I may not kill you now......but this mark, this is a promise of your death within my hand Kuran.

I swear by my name, the mark will stay for as long as my hatred with you and your clan remain or until of all your death."

The words Zero growl into his ear is like a curse that will echo inside his head for all eternity.

The Kuran is a curse to Zero's life, he know that clearly because he's the one who made it that way. So he's not surprised that he curse him the same.

He can remember, those golden eyes looking at him with so much contempt and hatred, but the insanity buried deep within those eyes are what truly shake him.

"A true beast that crave chaos and destruction." He whisper

"That is the nature of Inuyasha's Yokai." Replied someone

Standing at the open door is a tall beautiful man with an exotic appearance

Long Silver moon hair dance in the wind that came from the open window, golden eyes that shows nothing but coldness, pointed ears that don't belong to human, a crescent moon mark on his forehead and those stripe mark the same as Zero's

"Lord Sesshomaru..... Zero's older brother" he comment with surety.

"I see that you know of this Sesshomaru. Then you understand why I am here.

Inuyasha.....

You desire him. Your eyes cannot hide the hunger you have for my little brother, Kuran Kaname. No matter how much you try to deny or hide it, Inuyasha is not that naive or blind not to notice it for much longer."

Yoki bleed out of him with bloodlust fill up the room

"Inuyasha is the one who will rule all the Yokai. He, is my chosen heir, the only pup I acknowledge that belong to this Sesshomaru.

You nor your little sister will not be the reason to hold Inuyasha down."

Everyone in the night class, along with the hunters and the Yokai present in the academy all feel the sudden presence of a powerful being

Rido glance toward the academy in curiosity as that presence disappear at the same time.

While the few who is awake THAT night, all remember who's presence this belong to.

"This presence..... It's Zero's older brother." Kain said as he also glance toward the academy

"Why is he here?"

Sleeping in a large tree, Zero snap his eyes open as he stare far away in the direction of the academy

"What the fuck is that bastard doing?" He murmur before he jump down

Just then, a small white bat perch on his shoulder. He blink in surprise before relaxing and letting it be.

Stretching his arm infront of him, a dream butterfly comes toward him. He look at it for a little bit, "go" he said and the butterfly flap its wing toward the sky

He watch it for a moment before turning back to go deeper in the forest. But then.......

Back at the Academy

Facing against each other in a broken and trashed classroom, Sesshomaru and Kuran simply stand there with no injury after their own power destroy the whole room.

"Kaname-sama!" Appearing beside him, Seiren went into defensive stance, warily watching the beautiful creature infront of them

Sesshomaru tilt his head "A foolish attempt, but I commend you for your bravery."

Seiren flinch at those cold eyes attention on her

His eyes return to Kaname letting her breath for a second

"As long as you don't act on those desire of yours, I will not take any action. Consider this as your warning." He turn to leave when he was stop

"Why do you care now? From what I heard, you're the one who killed him."
He question

".........Because he's my equal" is the only answer he received before Sesshomaru disappear completely.

Outside of the building, Cross Kaien waited until a presence show itself infront of him

"A pleasure to meet you, Lord Sesshomaru"

Sesshomaru eyed the not so human who is still somehow part of his little brother pack, despite the weakening bond they have.

In his silent, Kaien continue

"I am Cross Kaien, adopted father of Zero. I know that you have been keeping eye on Zero and I would want to know how is he?"

Sesshomaru watch the man in his irritating bubly self, thinking of how such anybody has not question the dangerous glint hiding behind those eyes. But even still, he know that with such a weak bond they have, he have no obligation to answer the man infront of him. “Know that I am grateful for what you have done taking care of my little brother, but also know that he is no longer your concern.”

Not blinking at the rude dismissal "Zero is still my son and it's still my concern about how he is, no matter how much he change."

"Inuyasha will return once his business here would be finish. His claimed children will return with him and of those of the pack if they would choose to. But I cannot see it in you to choose only Inuyasha against the children living in here. The weakening bond is enough proof of your own priority." He finish before walking away, not caring at the response or reaction of the man he left.

Hours later, at the rooftop of the academy Rido and Takuma stand waiting until Ichiru arrive

"Your late. Where is that girl?" Question Rido irritatingly

"The girl disappear earlier this evening with no witness. I don't know where she is now." Ichiru answer

"Tsk. It's Kaname's work hoping to shield her until the end. Well, it doesn't matter anyway....... it won't take long for her to lose her mind"

Ichiru only stay quiet, expression blank as Rido only turn back, leaving without looking back followed by Takuma

If they had just stay a bit longer, they would have seen a butterfly land on Ichiru's shoulder

The forest within the Academy, became like a fortress, not so easy to enter. With mist covering the whole forest, once you enter, you will only get lost forever or you'll find yourself back where you enter the forest.

In here is where Yuki was hidden, in here is where the Yokai dwell in, waiting for any foolish man or woman to enter it's belly.

"Heh~ many idiot will definitely die here. Never thought there are being like vampires that are dangerous or more."

"Don't let your guard down. Zero's children are not the only one lurking in those fog. Flesh eating demon also roam inside so don't do anything stupid and enter inside the fog."

"So harsh Master~ So.........when are we going to wake the sleeping bloodsucker up?"

Toga turn toward the direction of the night dorm, where they knew the coffin of that Pureblood located in, while dragging out his cigarettes.

"Now"

Arriving at a ruined temple, Zero's clawed bare feet enter the temple which is surprisingly clean.

In the middle, is a black pearl sitting atop of a red cushion that is so out of place in the ruined temple.

"Son? Sesshomaru's mother?" He ask cautiously

"Indeed, Sesshomaru is my son. And you my little pup, second son of my late husband are supposed to be mine when the woman who had mothered you died of old age. I had waited for you yet that foolish son of mine drive me away from you."

Despite the truth he can smell from her, he still keep his distance warily from her.

".....I clearly remember all the past. I know why I lost control and I know I want to end everything that time..... When Sesh killed me in that mountain of bodies.... You are there."

"That's right."

"You had taken my soul"

"Yes. I am after all the keeper of underworld and can guide newly departed souls to the underworld if I so wish it."

"But you didn't send me to the underworld"

"No, I didn't. I guide your soul into a new life where your soul is still that of a Yokai. It taken me the utmost care to make you born as a Yokai even though asleep to protect you while you're still vulnerable."

"Fufufu~ indeed. Everything doesn't matter as long as you live. Remember this well little pup, us Yokai are selfish individual." She then take the black pearl and put it in his eye. "You need to take care of your sword, it's been waiting for you for centuries."

Sword pierce his hand and Rido's chest, allowing his blood to seep through the wound he created.

"Ho, is that enough to awaken him?"

"Yagari Toga and Takamiya Kaito. I take it that you're here for him."

"Yo. I see that you're finally stepping in. About damn time. Cause I'll tell you, if that fucker still have a hold to one of his children when he return, he'll be royally pissed off. Not that I don't wanna see it, but it's better if he's a little bit sane." Kaito rant while Toga only watch from the sideline

"Kaname?! What are you......" Entering the room, is Takuma with Shiki unconscious on his shoulder.

"No need to be surprise Takuma. I can tear this man to shreds........ But I cannot deal him the final blow. That's why..... I've decided to resurrect him, as he wishes."

A dream butterfly that is following Takuma and Shiki, now land on the coffin, just above Rido's head.

"It's time for you to wake up, Rido"

At the hunters headquarter, mist cover the whole building as sound of giggling children fill the whole place. Almost all hunters in that place has been rendered unconscious, each of them battling an illusion that take them out of guard.

1, 2 and 3 tailed fox Yokai children and teens littered the whole place as they play pranks and illusion to those lay below them and those who's still fight off the illusion.

One as such is Jinmu, another hunter who is barely conscious.

'chuckle' "heh~this one is tough" said a boy with red hair/fur

"Wha-what are you?" He ask weakly

"Hmmm~ we're not allowed to say. It's a secret!" The child giggle

"Why?"

"Eh~? Are you asking why we attack you? Simple! Do you know what your president is doing now?"

He look up confuse while the child grin turn darkly

"He's a fucking traitor who would throw everyone including you hunters for his own self interest" the child said happily contrast to the maniacal glint in his eyes. "That's why we're here to stop you from falling to hell literally if you follow his command. So be good and sleep kay, we'll be gone once everything is finish."

He then finally lose consciousness

At the same time, at the Ichijo mansion, leaving the premises is the hunter president after his talk to Asato Ichijo, not knowing the trap he's heading to.

With the help of the fog and illusion, the car where the hunter president ride vanish inside the fog.

"I don't care what you do....... His life doesn't matter to me." Takuma then rush to Kaname's side, grabbing the hilt of the sword to stop him from doing more harm. "Kaname! Why you pureblood always take such extreme measure?!

I know you won't even try to explain to me. It make me sad though"

Ignoring his friend Takuma, Kaname rip out his hand from the sword, slicing it nearly in half but it healed all the same.

"Ughh, disgusting" Kaito comment in the back

"I put my blood into his body..... So the next night, he will no longer need Shiki's body."

"It's not like he's using my actual body though." Came a sudden familiar voice from the bed

Sitting there beside Shiki's unconscious form is a reddish-brown fox who look like he's bored

"...........Shiki?"

'yawn...........' "Fox illusion are really powerful isn't it? Especially for a five tail. No one even notice that this body isn't real." He say, putting his paw at the body's chest as they all watch it dissolve in mist

"Damn! If you're safe, then why are we send here then?" Kaito ask

"Killing him without his body is useless.
That's why Zero gave the phoenix blood to fasten his recovery so he could return back. But since Kaname-sama take care of it, it's kinda useless now"

"Using a phoenix yokai blood seems to be too much anyway. That thing doesn't deserve it, even the smallest amount" Kaito then take out a small vial with blood inside it.

Toga now then turn toward Kaname "You said you cannot kill him. Why is that?" He ask while Kaname turn away, ready to get out

"Because....... I'm the progenitor of the Kurans.......

And Rido is my master....for awakening me from the coffin."

Ichiru watch the sky lighten, signalling the end of the night. He held a sword tainted with blood as snow fall from the sky into it's blade, tainting it also in red.

"Such a lonely expression, Ichiru."came the sudden voice of Maria. "You look like someone who will face his final enemy without a chance of survival."

"......Maria."

"I'm not here to stop you, because I also want to give my revenge for Shizuka-sama.

Kaname-sama had given his blood to him. It won't take long for him to be awaken. In that time, he's vulnerable.....but we know you still cannot kill him. You're not powerful enough to end someone like him. The only thing you can do is weaken him more"

"In exchange for your life, you're going to bet everything for that chance of revenge."

"What do you really want to say, Maria."

"....Zero pass a message.

Blood drip from Zero's claw as he look at the brightening sky, ignoring the carnage that was left behind him.

He then raise his hand to take a lick of blood, but scowl in disgust as he taste it.

"Those low level blood will not satisfy you. Only someone powerful can give you what you want" state a voice behind him

Students finish their morning breakfast and start to head out when they all received the announcement.

"The class cancelled?"

"Why do we need to prepare for evacuation?"

"What is happening?"

Yori watch everyone talk with each others before someone notice her

"No. Didn't you go over to the headmaster's place to see her?"

"I brought over some of her clothes, but he wouldn't let me see her. Then she hasn't come back without telling me...." Yori said before she thought over Yuki's weird behavior since yesterday.

'I wonder if it has something to do with Zero's disappearance?

Ever since then, Yuki hasn't been her self anymore'

"Hey! Wait. Where are you going? We're not allowed to go out without permission" the head girl said at one of the girls

"But we rarely get a chance like this! It should be fine to go to the moon dorm now-"

"Hello ladies"

"Oh...."

"You girls are so energetic early in the morning. Ahh~ that make me sound so old"

"Heh~ you're as old as a fossil, no need to hide that fact"

A red head young man and young girl, twin by their look, where the boy squint his eyes like they're close while the girl have large purple eyes that sparkle in mischief

"Wh-who are you?" The students stammer

"Ah! Please don't be afraid. We're not bad guy you see. We just came as instructed by one of the professor to guide all of you out of the academy. Since the guardians are all busy right now, we're send as an extra hand. I'm Lin and this one who talk like old guy is Ling" the girl explain as she introduce themselves

"Now, if you would please gather all the students with their belongings here at the entrance so we could now guide you all out where your rides are waiting. If you have any questions, I would happily answer once everyone is here so I don't need to repeat myself." She said to the head girl in which she nod reluctantly before she finally followed the instructions.

Yori who watch from the side, then came close to the two

"Yes?"

"Umm, one of the guardian, Yuki Cross, where is she?" She ask

"Oh, the guardian are really busy along with the professors you see, but don't worry, they along with the professors will also be evacuated once all the students leave, so no need for all of you to be worried" the girl answer once again.

At the night dorm, same thing is happening, all students was gathered in the living room except for some individuals, guided by Kain, Aido and a kid with weird outfit and a kusagirama weapon in his hand...?

"What the hell is going on Kain? There's a new pureblood felt in the academy." Ruka ask while the rest are confuse and worried.

Instead of answering her, he turn to let Aido take the stage to explain

"Enemy of Kaname-sama are now at the academy, where our peaceful life now being disturbed. The threat is a pureblood and the Senates. They came here with an army to destroy everything Kaname-sama has worked for."

This surprised all the students

"The Senate? Aren't they the governing bodies of the entire vampire society?"

"Why are we making enemies with the Senate?"

"Isn't this bad?"

Murmur most of the students, while some make a thoughtful humm.

"They don't truly accept the peace Kaname-sama want to create through the Academy, they only see this as nothing but a childish whim of a Pureblood they thought they can control.

The kid who was silent at the start step forward. This catch the attention of others. " 'You can leave if you want'. That's the word of your Lord. War is already taking place inside and outside the school. You don't know it yet but we are currently taking care of it. Your Lord had make a contract with us, and that include escorting every student out of this war, whether it be day..... or night class students"

All the students look incredulous at the child

"Who the hell are you"

"I'm Kohaku. I'm not a vampire hunter but I'm someone related to Kiryu Zero. Whether you join or not, the choice is yours. It won't be long before some of the intruder escape the trap we put"

Everyone turn silent as they think of their decision

"To be honest, I thought it would be impossible to coexist with the humans.....but I've gotten used to this peaceful life." One girl said as another also step up

"Me too. That's hardly a crime for the Senate to destroy the Academy."

With that, some of the student stay to face the intruders while other choose to leave.

Inside a dark room of the old night dorm, Ichiru watch as the being inside the coffin rise from it's slumber.

"Ah, such a warm welcome from cute little sheep."

Ichiru doesn't say a word, he just take out his tainted sword and then, not long after, the whole room explode

"Kkkkeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!"

Compare to the almost peaceful silence of the academy, a screech and sound of fighting echoes throughout the forest.

Mist cover the forest that now turn into a war zone. A predator vs predator. But now, who have became a prey.

The vampires came to the academy to make war with humans, hunters, and fellow vampires but they never expected the existence of Yokai.

Right now, the first wave of vampire are being hunted like a prey by these Yokai. Yokai that Hakudoshi taken from the other world to act as sacrificial piece he place in the front line, while some of the pack of Koga and some foxes are station deeper to look after the sleeping Yuki.

The remaining foxes lead by Shippo are taking care of the hunters. Kanna deal with the hunter president. Kohaku with the other Taijiya that are Hanyo help with the evacuation of the students and also deal with those who had escape from the forest.

"We will do our part here, now....it's also time to do yours. If you want to protect your sister until the end, you need to play your part Kuran Kaname."

Hakudoshi watch just as Kaname leave the Academy.

Everything are now in place.

Night are fast approaching, and that's when the true enemy will make their move.

Whether or not, students or any civilian still present, the true night parade would commence. They only need to survive the night.

Kain watch the sky darken as he wait in one of the rooftop, beside him sit Maria who's watching Ichiru wobble in his step as blood left a trail behind him.

"You should go. He cannot last long."

Maria only shake her head sadly while she hug the object she's holding.

She's holding a sword in a sheath that was also wrap with prayer beads.

"It's not me that he need. And beside, we have different task we need to do." She whispered in the wind, before both of them disappear.

Sesshomaru’s voice was cold, cutting through the air like a blade honed to perfection. He didn’t spare her a glance, but the tension in the air was enough to acknowledge her presence.

Inukimi hummed. Her golden eyes flickered to the fresh wound on his neck, amusement curving her lips.

"Fufu, what a mess you are, my son." She tilted her head, her gaze sharp yet playful. "Don’t mind me. I simply came to see how the little puppy is faring."

Her gaze lingered on the blood staining his collar, rich with power. A knowing smile ghosted over her lips.

"I must say, it’s good to see you finally acting as the alpha of a pack. But to give him your own blood…" She let out a light laugh, eyes gleaming. "How rare. That is, unless you forced him into a corner, driving him until instinct took over. That sounds more like my son."

Her words hung in the air, a challenge wrapped in silk.

Sesshomaru remained silent for a moment, golden eyes narrowing slightly before he turned away.

"Hn."

A dismissive sound, yet Inukimi's smile only widened. She had her answer.

As she watched him go, her gaze flickered briefly to the faint traces of lingering power in the air. Sesshomaru’s blood had been taken—no, claimed—and that meant the final piece had fallen into place.

"Ah, well," she murmured, more to herself than to him. "I suppose it’s too late to turn back now."

The scent of his blood still lingered, heavy and rich, but it was no longer the dominant force. Another presence had begun to rise, dark and untamed, clawing its way back into existence.

Her eyes gleamed.

"Let’s see what our little stray does with his new fangs."

Zero’s body burned.

Not with pain—he was far past that—but with something deeper, something primal. His breath came in slow, measured drags, yet every inch of him felt taut, coiled, waiting.

Sesshomaru’s blood coursed through him like liquid fire, reshaping him, twisting something long buried awake. He could feel the power settling in his bones, not foreign, but familiar. Like a long-forgotten instinct stirring to life. This is more intense than the time he consumed Kouga or Shizuka's blood.

His ears twitched. The distant rustle of wind, the shift of shadows—everything was loud, alive in a way it hadn’t been before. His senses stretched farther, grasping at the world with an ease that felt natural, almost effortless.

He exhaled, and the faintest trace of a smirk curled his lips.

It was time.

Time to play.

His prey was waiting.

Ash danced in the wind like snow, settling silently over the ruins of the Senate building. The once-imposing structure now stood hollow and crumbling, its last echoes fading with the fall of Ichio’s body to dust.

Kaname stood among the wreckage, watching the ash scatter without emotion. He had not moved during the massacre—had not needed to. Justice, or perhaps vengeance, had done its part.

Behind him, a massive shadow in the shape of a dog dissolved into smoke, returning to the void from which he summoned it. Kaname’s gaze shifted downward, a murmur escaping him like a whisper to no one.

“He’s back.”

His voice held no fear.

Only certainty.

Deep in the crumbling ruins of a forgotten dorm, Rido crouched in the dark like a beast cornered.

He clutched his side, blood leaking between his fingers—thick, black, and foul. Ichiru’s strike had not been deep, but the blade… that cursed blade soaked in miasma—was eating into his flesh like rot.

"Master Rido, we came to serve you," said a figure kneeling before him, joined by others cloaked in shadows.

"Not enough." His voice was ragged, feral.

"I need more."

Without hesitation, he yanked one of them forward and sank his teeth in, the room echoing with the sickening sound of flesh torn and blood consumed. The sacrifices screamed, but none dared run.

He drank deeply.

He didn’t notice the glint of silver in the distance.
Didn’t feel the weight of predatory eyes watching.
Didn’t hear the whisper of death drawing near.

High above the battlefield, perched like a waiting storm, Zero gazed down upon Rido’s lair, his expression unreadable—neither cold nor angry. Just calculating.

"Tsk. Those little brats really do whatever they want," he muttered with exasperated fondness, clearly referring to his children’s schemes.

It was the same as with Hio Shizuka—always one step ahead of him, moving pieces in shadows. But unlike her, Rido was a weed that refused to die.

"Now," Zero drawled, tilting his head, eyes narrowing with dark amusement, "should I go say hi before the game starts?"

His gaze flicked downward. "What do you think, Maria?"

She sat on his lap, her lips stained red, the last trace of blood wiped away by her fingers. Her hand still gripped his wrist, where fresh wounds glistened.

“...Your promise,” she said quietly, eyes glowing like coals.

Zero grinned, the edge of his fangs visible.

"Of course. I didn't forget."

Then the dam broke.

Power exploded outward—his tightly suppressed aura flooding the forest like a tidal wave. The air shivered. Trees trembled. And the scent of blood—rich, ancient, irresistible—rolled across the land like a storm.

The hunt had begun.

Inside the dim room of the Night Dorm, Rima stirred. Her eyes fluttered open slowly, blinking against the faint glow of moonlight filtering through the curtains.

Beside her, Shiki—now fully returned to himself—sat quietly, his hand gently resting over hers.

"Awake?" he asked.

She nodded once, but her gaze drifted toward the window.

"Hmm… Zero?"

"He’s back."

Before more could be said, the door burst open.

"Oh, Rima!" Takuma rushed in, visibly breathless. "Thank goodness you’re awake. We need to go—the whole academy is in chaos!"

From beyond the dorms, the sound of roars, scream, clashes, and destruction filled the air. Vampires poured from the forests. Yokai emerged from the shadows. The night sky burned with battle.

The battlefield had arrived—and with no more day class students in sight, there was no reason to hold back.

Rima stared out the window as the ground below soak with red. She watched the chaos unfold with her usual cool detachment.

"It’s noisy," she murmured.

Takuma, though clearly worried, still wore that unshakable smile. “We’re regrouping at the assembly hall. Kaname's given the order, and Zero is—”

He paused mid-sentence. The floor trembled.

A sudden pulse—a wave of heavy pressure—swept through the dorm like thunder, making Rima shiver. Shiki tensed.

"...He's not hiding his presence anymore," Shiki murmured, eyes narrowing.

Takuma’s expression shifted, the usual warmth replaced by a seriousness rarely seen.
“He’s making his move.”

Rido stood drenched in blood—his own and that of others. He dropped another drained body at his feet, intoxicated by the temporary strength it gave him. He felt invincible again.

Until—

He froze.

His head snapped toward outside

A pressure far heavier than before came crashing down. The air warped, and the shadows around him began to twist unnaturally. Then—

BOOM.

The ground exploded around him. His servants didn't even have time to scream—torn apart by a force faster than they could perceive.

Dust clouded the air.

And in the middle of it, stepping out like a demon from myth, stood Zero.

Lightning-fast, blade drawn, he clashed into Rido's blood whip
with brutal force.

Steel screamed against blood.

A grin curled on Zero’s lips as he leaned closer into the clash.

"I've been waiting for ya, bastard."
