What if Jeannie the Babysitter appeared in the 1992 Tom & Jerry Movie, working for Figg & Lickboot? How would it have played out if she was in it?

[I DO NOT & NEVER EVER WILL, OWN TOM & JERRY]

Notes:

You know the story of the Tom & Jerry 1992 Movie, where Tom & Jerry ended up in the big city and had to work together to find a new home, but not before they had to help a young girl called Robyn Starling escape from her cruel Aunt Figg, and get her to her father.

Well, what if Jeannie, the babysitter from the Tom & Jerry cartoons 'Busy Buddies' & 'Tot Watchers' appeared in the film, working for Aunt Figg & Lickboot?

Now's your chance to find out.

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Chapter 1: Money is Such A Beautiful Word

Chapter Text

The story begins right where Aunt Figg, the villain of the Tom and Jerry 1992 film, was sobbing and holding a patrolman by his clothes. "Oh, my poor little Robyn! Find her, officer, please! The poor child!" she sobbed.

"There, there, Miss Figg." said the patrolman, "We'll find the little girl, I promise you. I'll call for a status report right now."

"Oh, please. Please!" Aunt Figg begged. "I don't know how I'll live without her!" she sobbed some more. "You won't be able to live without her, Pristine." stated her boyfriend, Lickboot, who, BTW, was Robyn's dad's lawyer.

"Shut up, Lickboot, you hoo doo!" Figg snapped.

"But it's true, Pristine." said Lickboot. "Without Robyn, Daddy Starling's trust fund money will go bye-bye and you'll be out in the cold, cold, cold!"

"And you with me, Lickboot!" Figg snapped. "Now stop talking. You're the lawyer. Scheme!"

At that moment, Jeannie, the babysitter from the Tom & Jerry cartoons 'Busy Buddies' & 'Tot Watchers' appeared in the room, carrying some cups of tea. She had once been a babysitter, but she spent most of her time talking on the phone, too busy to keep her eyes on babies.

But recently, after a runaway baby stunt with Tom & Jerry [who will later appear in this story], she'd been fired from her job as a babysitter, and had been made to work for a woman named Aunt Figg, as punishment.

"Calm down, Madame Figg." Jeannie tried to say to her, offering her a cup of tea. "I'm sure your niece will return home soon. She can't have gone far."

"HOW CAN I CALM DOWN?!" Figg shouted angrily at Jeannie, nearly making her hair stand on end. "IF I DON'T HAVE HER, I'LL LOSE HER FATHER'S TRUST FUNDS, AND I'LL END UP ON THE STREETS WITH LICKBOOT! And you'll go down with me!"

"Alright," Jeannie said, trying to calm her down. "But don't go blame yourself for losing her. Technically speaking, it was your dog Ferdinand's fault." As she said that, she motioned to Ferdinand, a overweight dachshund dog on a skateboard under a table, who was snickering.

"You find this amusing, Ferdy, you fat freeloader?" Figg snapped at her dog. "You're the one who let her get away!"

"Eating." Ferdinand muttered. "I know you were eating. You're always eating." Figg sighed. Then, she picked up a cupcake. "You want this cupcake?"

AND Ferdinand SAID, "Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah!"

"Fetch!" Figg cried, chucking the cupcake. Ferdinand, being a overweight dog, used his skateboard to roll after the cupcake. He stands up and eats it, then crashed into a piece of furniture. Jeannie had to help him up. "Ferdy," she said, "please don't bump into the furniture. You know it's precious to Robyn's father."

"Just pray the police find her, Pristine, or we're doomed to return to the ranks of the peasantry." Lickboot said.

At this, Figg and Jeannie gasped and Ferdinand whined.

"And you'd better hope this rumor that dashing Daddy Starling may have survived the avalanche is just a rumor, or we'll be worse than ordinary." Lickboot reminded them.

"I know I'm gonna be sorry I asked this, but how worse?" Jeannie asked.

And Lickboot said, "We'll be..."

"Don't say it!" Figg wailed.

"Poor." Lickboot said.

"Penniless." Figg added.

"Bankrupt." Jeannie finished.

"No more money?!" Figg said worriedly.

"We've got to have... money*." Lickboot said. [*-Thus, a new meme was born.]

AND THEN, Figg & Lickboot sang a song.

[SONG: Money is Such A Beautiful Word]

Figg: Money is such a beautiful word

Lickboot: I know, I know.

Figg: It soars in my mind like a beautiful bird

Lickboot: I know, I know.

Figg: Better than that

It makes me feel like an aristocrat

That's where it's at

Money is such a beautiful word

Lickboot: Quite so, quite so, quite so.

Figg: Money is such a wonderful thing

Lickboot: Ah yes, ah yes.

Figg: I find that I use it for everything!

Lickboot: No less, No less.

Figg: Money is power

If it were food, it's a dish I'd devour

Every hour!

Money is such a beautiful word

Lickboot: Oh yes, oh yes, oh yes!

Figg: Money is my passion, always in fashion!

Stashin', cash, cream of the cream, that is my dream

Lickboot: Money is a glorious thing

When I see lots of it, I want to stand up and sing

Figg: Money is my favourite, that's why I crave it

Even a rich, wicked old witch

Ha, why should I switch?

Lickboot: Money is the love of my life

The only true love of my life

Figg: Money for me is all that there is

Lickboot: It is, it is.

Figg: I spend it so well, I'm the best in the biz

Lickboot; A wiz, a wiz.

Figg: Money and I, we are as happy as apple and pie

Haven't you heard

Money is such a beautiful word

Money, they say is evil as Satan and probably worse

Lickboot: It is.

Figg A dreadful and wonderful curse

Lickboot: It is.

Figg: A pleasure to have in my purse

Lickboot: It is, it is.

Figg and Lickboot: Money is the...most beautiful word.

Chapter 2: Robyn's Return

I DO NOT AND NEVER WILL OWN TOM & JERRY

Chapter Text

"That was an impressive song, you two." Jeannie said.

Suddenly, Figg heard the doorbell ring. She went over to the door and opens to see Robyn Starling struggling to get free from the patrolman's hand.

"I can't go back! I won't!" Robyn said. Suddenly, Figg grabbed her.

"Gotcha, you little..." she said angrily, but stopped and composed herself in the patrolman's presence. "...Darling?"

Jeannie facepalmed. "I knew I should've picked the community service at the fast food restaurant." she muttered under her breath.

"See?" said the patrolman, "Here she is, safe and sound! We found her down by the old bridge."

Tom and Jerry came from behind the patrolman. Robyn recognized them, and so did Jeannie.

"Tom, Jerry!" said Robyn.

"Oh, no." Jeannie muttered, as she darted off from the hall, unnoticed by Figg, who wanted to know who they both were.

"They're my new friends." Robyn told her. "Let me keep them, please. They won't be any bother. Please?"

Tom walked over and wrapped his arms around Figg's legs, looking at her with adorable eyes. "Meow." he said feebly.

"Oh, brother." said Jerry. [Yes, Robyn is aware they talk.]

"Please?" Robyn begged her aunt.

"Under the circumstances, it might be a good idea, ma'am if you know what I mean." said the patrolman.

Figg growled, but then composed herself. "That's just what I was thinking, Officer." she said, and then, she turned to Robyn, AND said, "Of course, you can keep them, darling."

"I can?" said Robyn.

"See?" Said Jerry, "She's not as bad as you thought."

"You'll stay, won't you?" Robyn said to Tom, "You'll have a real home again."

"Will I? You bet." Tom said, then looked at Jerry. "Uh, him too?"

"Of course him too." Robyn said.

And Jerry said, "Thanks, Robyn."

The 3 of them entered the house.

Figg turned to the patrolman. "Officer?" she said, "You wouldn't be able to join us for a little celebration snack, would you?"

"Well, sure I..." the patrolman began.

"I didn't think so." Figg interrupted. "Too bad, duty calls and all that, I understand. Mucho, thanks and au revoir!!!!!" That last word was a shout, as she slammed the door in the patrolman's face. Then, she turned to Ferdinand. "Ferdy?" she called. Ferdinand rolled over.

"Show our new guests to the kitchen, and give them something special to eat." Figg said to him.

Ferdinand agreed, and Tom and Jerry followed him to the kitchen. Once they were out of sight, Figg grabbed Robyn by the arm, and said to her, "As for you, Orphan, for running away, you're going to bed without dinner. And your bed is back in the attic, where orphans belong."

Chapter 3: Daddy Starling's Alive!

Chapter Text

After Figg sent Robyn to get ready for bed, she soon found Jeannie.

"Jeannie," she asked sternly, "Why did you leave upon the presense of the strays Robyn brought home?"

"Well," Jeannie said, "I never told you about them ever since I was made to help you. I had them busted for kidnapping a baby, but then the baby's parents found out about my neglectfullness, and fired me. I was banned from being a babysitter again."

"And," she added, "I've resented them ever since."

"I see." Figg said. "Well, that's not exactly surprising. Now, if I remember correctly, Lickboot wanted to talk to me about something impor-"

It was then Figg was rudely interrupted, when she and Jeannie heard a loud crashing in the kitchen.

"What's Ferdy up to in there?!" she muttered, as she headed to the kitchen, followed by Jeannie, and Robyn, in her nightdress.

"Oh, what's all the commotion in here?" Figg said.

Figg and Jeannie entered the kitchen with Robyn, and they saw the kitchen was a total mess!

"Well..." Figg said to Robyn, "your pets are certainly... housebroken. They've in here five minutes and already they've broken the house!"

"Well, looks like we don't have enough room for them here, do we, Robyn?" siad Jeannie.

"I, I'm sure they won't do it again, Jeannie. I promise." Robyn stammered.

"No, they won't. I promise." Figg said.

"Well, it's obvious that those two can wreck more things in here if they stay here." Jeannie said. "Thankfully we have a solution to this problem, don't we, Pristine?"

"Indeed, we do." said Figg, and she turned to Robyn and said, "There's a sweet man down the street; Dr. Applecheek. He absolutely adores animals. He has a house full of all kinds and he loves them to death. I'm sure I can talk him into taking them in. They'II have all the food they can eat, companionship, shelter." she chuckled. "And you can go and visit them every day."

And Jeannie said to Robyn, "Sounds a good idea, don't you think?"

"Well, I don't know." Robyn said uneasily, "I'll have to talk it over with them first."

Figg sighed. "Oh, You'll do that."

"You are right, Robyn." Jeannie said, "they're your pets, so it's up to you."

"Well," said Figg, "your daddy's lawyer, or your late daddy's lawyer, Mr Lickboot is waiting for us."

Figg & Jeannie left the room. Jerry put a paw to his chin, wondering suspiciously what Figg and Jeannie were up to, and then, followed them out of the kitchen.

"Alive?! He's alive?!" Figg exclaimed.

And Jeannie said, "That can't be possible! How did he survive, Lickboot? I thought that you told me he was dead!"

And Lickboot said, "The telegram just came. Starling's lying in some god-for-sake native shack on a mountainside in Tibet. Maybe every bone in his body is broken; If we're lucky."

"But he's alive!" Figg said.

"We know." Jeannie said, checking the script of the Tom & Jerry 1992 movie. "Lickboot already said so."

Neither of them noticed Jerry peeking out from a two-dolphin figurine on a cupboard, listening to the conversation.

"Well, look on the bright side." said Lickboot. "There may be another avalanche."

"And he may be eaten by the abominable snow thing too." Jeannie stated.

"Who cares?!" snapped Figg.

As Jerry started to tiptoe from the cupboard, he bumped into some books, knocking them over and catching Figg's attention.

"Well, his daughter Robyn, for one, and our creditors for another." Lickboot said.

Jerry positioned himself behind the dolphin figurine as Figg looked along the cupboard.

"the point is; Daddy Starling is still alive! Robyn must never know!" she said.

"How are you going to do that, Pristine?" Jeannie asked anxiously.

Needless to say, her question was answered, as she witnessed Figg crumble the telegram into a ball and throw it into the fireplace, though it bounces off, much to Jerry's shock.

"I'll make sure she never knows. I'll lock her in her room." Figg said.

"Now, that's a good idea." Lickboot said.

"Isn't that a bit extreme?" Jeannie asked.

"Extreme times call for extreme measures, Jeannie." Figg said. "Now, come with me, so I can see Lickboot out."

She and Jeannie left, to see Lickboot out. However, Jeannie just so happened to catch a glimpse of Jerry running up the stairs with the crumpled telegram. "Hmmmm." she said to herself.

By now, Tom & Jerry had found out that Robyn's dad was alive. They saw Figg standing at the door to Robyn's bedroom. She said to Robyn, "Good night. Sleep tight. And don't let the spiders, monsters and everythings bite." then she locked the bedroom door, and walked away.

Tom & Jerry ran to the door, but before they could knock on the door, Figg and Jeannie came up from behind them.

"How nice." SAID Figg, AS SHE snatched the telegram back from Tom. "You fetched my telegram. You're both so helpful."

"I agree." said Jeannie. "Long time no see, you two." she added to Tom & Jerry.

Tom and Jerry stayed back, not wanting to say anything in front of Jeannie, remembering the trouble she put them through before.

"That was a very nice thing you did, returning Figg's telegram to her." Jeannie said. "So," she added, "as a reward for being so helpful, I think me and Figg are willing to overlook your little episode in the kitchen. Aren't we, Pristine?"

"Yes, Jeannie," said Figg. "And," she added, "We'll make sure Dr. Applecheek takes special care of you two."

"RUN!!!!!!!!!!!" Tom screamed at the top of his voice. Immediately, Tom and Jerry made a run for it in different directions, but Figg grabbed Tom by his tail. "Oh no, you don't." she said.

By this time, Jerry turned a corner, but Ferdinand trapped him in a bottle. "Got the mousy!" he snickered.

Then, Jeannie trapped them in a pet carrier, and put said carrier in a cupboard. "Better get some rest, you two," Jeannie told them. "You've got a big day tomorrow."

She shut the cupboard door, and locked it.

Later, Jeannie had to spend half the night cleaning the kitchen, from Tom, Jerry and Ferdinand's little episode.

"Of all the punishments i had to pick in the whole world, I had to pick working for Aunt Pristine Figg." she griped. "I'd rather have preferred prison over this!"

Luckily, Figg was in bed, so she wouldn't have heard Jeannie's complaint.

She scrubbed harder and broke a nail. "Agh!" she groaned. "I've broken a nail!"

Chapter 4: They're Gone?

Notes:

(See the end of the chapter for notes.)

Chapter Text

Early the next morning, Figg was up bright and early to take Tom & Jerry to Dr. Applecheek's place. When she got back, she informed Jeannie about it.

And later, when Robyn got up, she got the news from Figg and Jeannie where Tom and Jerry were.

"They're gone?!" she said to her aunt, shocked, and a bit upset. "You took them away without letting me say goodbye?"

"Oh, they didn't mind." Figg said. "You know the only thing animals care about is their next meal."

"Yeah, yeah." Ferdinand said.

"First my daddy and now Tom and Jerry?" Robyn said miserably.

"Of course you feel miserable, you selfish little girl." Figg said severely.

"Look, Robyn," said Jeannie, trying to be positive, "You should be thinking of them, to get rid of all the misery out of you. They're enjoying themselves at Applecheek's place. You'll see. I'm sure they're very happy there."

She then turned to Figg. "They ARE happy where they are, right Pristine?" she asked.

And Figg said, "Yes, Jeannie. Very happy where they are."

"Right." Jeannie said. "Now get washed and dressed ready for breakfast, and then get ready for school, Robyn."

As Robyn left, and as did Figg, to read her paper, Jeannie felt a tinge of regret and shame in her heart. But she knew she couldn't let it show - not in front of Figg and/or her boyfriend Lickboot.

i KNOW IT'S A VERY SHORT CHAPTER, BUT DON'T WORRY, THE NEXT CHAPTER WILL MAKE UP FOR IT - IT'S WHEN FIGG, JEANNIE, AND LICKBOOT GO SEARCHING FOR ROBYN.

Chapter 5: The [Second] Search for Robyn

Chapter Text

That night, at Figg's mansion, Jeannie was lying in bed, in the mansion's spare bedroom, which Figg had arranged for her when she'd arrived.

Suddenly, Figg burst in, looking worried. "Jeannie, get up at once!" she said, alerting her.

"Pristine, what's wrong?" Jeannie moaned, sitting up in bed. "It's 10 o'clock at night!"

"That brat Robyn's escaped again!" Figg exclaimed. "Lickboot will be here any minute to collect us to go and look for him."

"But I'm not even dressed!" Jeannie said.

"I don't care!" Figg snapped, "This is an emergency!"

"Oh, allright." Jeannie groaned, as she got up, put her slippers on, and followed Figg out.

Lickboot, Figg, and Jeannie rode up to the bridge in the city in their pyjamas and nightgowns in Lickboot's car. Lickboot stopped the car, and Figg, Jeannie and Lickboot got out, armed with torches, to find Robyn Starling. This place was, of course, where the patrolman had found Robyn last night.

"This is where they found her last time." Figg said. "She'll come back here again. I'll stake everything I've got on it!"

And Lickboot said, "That's exactly what you're doing."

"Shut up, you twit!" Figg snapped.

At this time, Ferdinand rolled himself outta Lickboot's car to aid the search.

"Yoo-hoo, Robyn Starling!" Figg called, "It's your Aunt Figg, darling, come to take you home." Figg called.

Jeannie looked on the opposite side of the bridge to Figg and Lickboot, but couldn't see Robyn.

"Robyn?" she called. "Come out, come out wherever you are!"

Ferdinand saw Tom, Jerry, and Robyn rowing down the river on an old raft. He tried to tell Figg he'd spotted them, but due to his gibberish, she couldn't understand, and kicked his board away, thus sending him into the river, where he tried to get after them, but sunk under the water, due to his weight.

Figg, Lickboot, and Jeannie searched the bridge all night, but they had no luck. Jeannie, who had been searching under the bridge, suddenly noticed Ferdinand in the water. She threw a nearby life ring to him, and rescued him and his skateboard from the water.

"Oh, Ferdy." Jeannie said, "I think we'd better take you home before you catch your death of cold."

She climbed up the steps, to an awaiting Figg and Lickboot. "Any luck?" Figg asked her.

"Nope." said Jeannie, "Nothing. I think it's getting too dark to search any longer. I think we'll have to call it a night."

Figg agreed, as did Lickboot, so they set off back for the mansion.

Once they were back, Jeannie put Ferdinand to bed, then went to bed herself. "Oh, Robyn," she whispered to herself as she lay down, "I hope you're ok."

Chapter 6: Lickboot's Plan

Chapter Text

The next day, Lickboot telephoned Figg and Jeannie from his office in the city with some very bad news.

"No more money?!" Figg exclaimed, both shocked and devastated.

"Without proof that Robyn's been well cared for, we can't touch another penny of her father's money." Lickboot told her.

"Not good," muttered Jeannie under her breath.

"Don't talk foolishness, Lickboot." Figg said. "Can't you do something… devious?" She chuckled as she sat down on her deckchair. "I'm sure if you put your mind to it, you can be really sleazy." she added.

"Why thank you, Pristine." Lickboot said over the phone. "But suppose we get her back," he added, "and the little brat tells Daddy Starling why she ran away?"

"He makes a good point, you know." said Jeannie.

"Who he's gonna believe; an over emotional whining distraught little girl, or me, her warm loving concerned nanny?" Figg said.

"He'd believe Robyn?" Jeannie asked.

"That was a rhetorical question!" Figg snapped at Jeannie.

"Sorry I asked." Jeannie muttered under her breath.

"Now do something!" Figg snapped at Lickboot through the phone. "I mean lie, cheat, steal; corrupt a government! Do anything to get that money, you nerdy nitwit!"

"Oh, well, that's easy." Lickboot said. "A reward."

"A reward?" said Figg and Jeannie, at the same time.

"Yes." Lickboot said, a smug grin on his face. "People will do anything for money."

"Oh, don't I know." Figg said.

"So, Lickboot, what exactly did you have in mind?" Jeannie asked.

"It's simple." said Lickboot. "We offer a reward for her; someone will turn her in. A big reward."

"How much, a big reward?" Jeannie asked.

"We'll offer… Say, one million dollars." Lickboot said.

"But we don't have a million dollars!" Figg protested.

"I know." Lickboot said proudly. "That's why it's so sleazy."

Immediately, Figg realized what Lickboot's plan was - they would offer a million dollar reward for Robyn that they would have no intention of paying, all so that some gullible moron would find Robyn, and thus, bring her back to them, then Figg would keep Robyn locked up in her attic bedroom, so she would never ever see her father again.

"Oh, I love it when you talk like that." she said evilly.

'Oh, I don't like where this is going.' Jeannie muttered under her breath.

Later, Figg & Lickboot went to a milk factory, and Figg had Robyn's picture and the fake million dollar reward put on milk cartons. Figg & Lickboot each picked up those cartons with evil glee.

"This will get her back!" Figg chuckled evilly.

MEANWHILE,

In the mountains of Tibet, Robyn's father, Michael Starling, had heard via his plane's radio that Robyn had ran away, and he was very concerned.

"If Robyn's in trouble," he muttered, "there's only one place she'll go."

He turned his plane around, and headed off back to the aircraft hangar, to get a helicopter to fly him back to America to find his daughter.

Chapter 7: TO Captain Kiddie's Carnival!

Chapter Text

Approximately 3 days went by, with no luck on anything.

Jeannie kept checking the phone for any news on anyone finding Robyn.

But one day, Dr. Applecheek was over, and he & Figg were talking about Robyn's escape. Judging by the tones of their voices, Jeannie, who was reading the newspaper for any news on Robyn's finding and/or whereabouts, could tell it was a very bad deal. Dr. Applecheek stated that Figg had been to blame for her niece's escape.

"My fault?!" said Figg, shocked and offended by this accusation. "What do you mean it's my fault?! If you had done with those two like I paid you to, that brat wouldn't have run away again!"

"Nevertheless," said Dr. Applecheek angrily, "those 2 animals have cost me a bundle; Not to mention the damage!"

"Damage?!" Figg snapped, "I've...!" She was rudely interrupted when the phone rang. "Eh, excuse me for a moment; I must get the phone." she said to Applecheek, as she walks into the living room and shuts the door behind her. As Figg answered the phone. Dr. Applecheek peeked through the door to listen. Jeannie watched him with interest.

"Hello?" said Figg on the phone. "Yes, yes, I did offer a one million dollar reward for the return of my precious little Robyn." When she got the location of Robyn, she was excited. "Captain Kiddie's carnival! Ha-ha! We've got her! I've got her! Yes, yes, yes!" Figg whooped loudly.

Unbeknownst to her, Dr. Applecheek had overheard about the 'one million dollar reward', and decided to claim it for himself.

[REMINDER: He, Captain Kiddie, and the Straycatchers didn't know that it was a fake million dollar bounty.]

Whilst Figg was telephoning Lickboot to come and pick her, Jeannie, and Ferdinand up, Dr. Applecheek headed back to the truck where his henchmen, the Straycatchers, were waiting.

The Straycatchers' truck rolled away as Figg walked back into the hallway.

"Now, doctor, you were talking to me about damages. I..." Figg stopped as she saw that Dr. Applecheek was gone. "Doctor? Doctor? Where is that creep?" she wondered.

Jeannie looked out of the window. "If I didn't know any better, I'd say he overheard you and now he and the Straycatchers are on their way to the carnival to claim the million dollar reward you mentioned." she said.

"WHAT?!" Figg exclaimed, then turned angrily to Jeannie, and said, "Why didn't you say something before?!"

"You were on the phone," Jeannie said in defense. "Mom always told me it's not polite to bother someone on the telephone." she added.

Figg sighed in exasperation. "Sometimes, you CAN have too much of a good thing, especially manners." she said to the audience, apparently breaking the fourth wall.

"Who were you talking to?" Jeannie asked.

"Nobody!" Figg snapped at Jeannie. "Just get ready to go out!"

"Yes, Pristine." Jeannie said.

It wasn't long till Lickboot came over to pick them up.

"We've found her!" cried Figg, as she & Jeannie, followed by Ferdinand, raced towards Lickboot's car, and got in.

"Where?" Lickboot asked.

"She's at Captain Kiddie's carnival!" said Jeannie. "Do you know where it is?"

"I'll have us there before you can say 'one million dollars'!" Lickboot said, as he sped the car outta the gate, and off to the carnival.

On their way to the carnival, they sped past Dr. Applecheek, who recently had been betrayed by his henchmen, the Straycatchers, and dumped onto the pavement.

"Who knows what Robyn's gotten herself into?" Jeannie thought as they sped to the carnival.

Chapter 8: The Chase

Chapter Text

When Figg, Lickboot, Jeannie and Ferdinand arrived at Captain Kiddie's carnival, it didn't take them long to find Captain Kiddie, the owner of the carnival.

"Where is the girl?" Figg asked him.

"We wants to see the money, honey. Argh!" said Captain Kiddie's puppet parrot, Squawk. [Even Jeannie was bewildered how Cpatain Kiddie's puppet could actually speak on it's own.]

"Only after I see Robyn." Figg said firmly.

At that moment, the Straycatchers arrived.

"You're too late, boys!" Figg said in a mocking voice. She turned to Captain Kiddie with a face like thunder, and said to him, "Where's the little brat?"

"She's safe and sound on the Ferris Wheel." Captain Kiddie said, motioning to said ferris wheel.

Suddenly, the Straycatchers recognized her place.

"There she is!" said one of them.

"The million dollar kid!" the other Straycatcher said. "We're rich!"

They ran past Figg, eager to get the million dollar bounty first.

"STOP THEM!" Figg yelled.

Lickboot and Captain Kiddie ran past, knocking Figg over to the ground. Jeannie helped Figg up, and joined her in the chase to reach Robyn. "I miss doing my babysitting job." Jeannie sighed to the viewers. "It involved a lot less in chasing runaway kids."

By this time, Tom & Jerry had found Robyn, and rescued her from the ferris wheel that Captain Kiddie had trapped her on, and trapped the Straycatchers in her place.

"Uh-oh!" said Jerry. "Don't look now, but here comes the dragon lady!"

And he was right - Figg, Jeannie, Captain Kiddie, and Lickboot came up to them.

"Robyn!" said Figg, "Come to your dear Aunt Figg, darling." Then Figg said to Captain Kiddie, Jeannie, and Lickboot, "Spread out and don't let the brat get by you."

Captain Kiddie, Squawk, Jeannie, and Lickboot all spread out.

Jeannie looked at Tom & Jerry. "OK, you two," she said sternly to them, "Hand Robyn to us, or Figg will send you both to the pound!"

"What do we do?" said Robyn.

Tom looked around then sees something. "I'll get us outta here." he said. "Come on!"

Robyn & Tom ran off, whereas Jerry pushed the lever before running off, making the Ferris wheel stop, leaving The Straycatchers up at the top. Robyn, Tom & Jerry raced over to a paddle steamer boat at the pier.

"They're getting away!" Figg yelled.

"There they are, on the pier!" Jeannie yelled, pointing toward the pier where said paddle steamer was.

Robyn, Tom & Jerry scrambled onto the boat. Tom pressed various buttons and levers, hoping that one of them would start the boat.

"Push the red button!" Jerry said. "It's always the red one!"

"I know it!" said Tom crossly. "I was just gonna push it!"

"Tom, Jerry, hurry!" Robyn cried, as she untied the rope holding the boat to the pier, where Figg, Lickboot, Captain Kiddie, and Jeannie ran, toward the paddle steamer.

Tom managed to push the red button, and the Paddle steamer set off down the river.

"Lickboot, get the car! We'll head her off up the river!" Figg shouted.

"Aye! Move it, Captain, move it!" Squawk commanded to Kiddie. "We're in a race for a million!"

"Not to worry," said Captain Kiddie, "this old captain still knows a trick or two."

He climbed down to a small dinghy, and pulled a string, which activates the motor to make it move, and it whizzed across the river, so he could try to ambush Robyn.

By this time, Figg, Lickboot and Jeannie had gotten back into Lickboot's car, so they could chase Robyn, Tom and Jerry. At that moment, Dr. Applecheek turned up, riding an ice-cream cart he'd hijacked from an ice-cream seller in the suburbs.

"You're too late, doc!" Figg laughed, as Lickboot drove off, leaving Dr. Applecheek in the dust.

Oh, what a chase it was!

Lickboot's car raced along the roads recklessly, throwing into near impossible turns. Captain Kiddie bounced along the river in his motorized dinghy, and Dr. Applecheek trundled down the road, far behind, in his stolen ice-cream cart.

Needless to say, Jeannie, who was sitting in the back with Ferdinand, was not enjoying the rough and reckless ride - she was constantly throwing up into a paper bag, due to how the rough ride was making her sick.

"Oh, god." Jeannie groaned, her face now a pale green. "I'd have preferred working in a fast food restaurant over this sickening car chase!"

As Lickboot travelled along the roads, keeping his eye on Robyn and the paddle steamer, Jeannie suddenly called out, "Lickboot, watch the road!"

Lickboot turned back to the road, but by then, It was too late - he missed the turn, broke through a fence, and swerved down towards a farm!

"Oh no! Not again!" Jeannie groaned bumpily, immediately turning as green as Frankie Da Flea, the partner of Puggsy the dog who Tom and Jerry had met very earlier on in the film.

The car swerved toward some clothes on a washing line. The car drove under the washing line, but Ferdinand got caught on it, flung outta the car and dragged along by it. Figg and Lickboot gasped as they headed towards a pigpen. When the pigs in said pigpen saw the car fly into the air, they ran out of the way, just as it landed in the mud. Figg got a pair of underpants on her head. Ferdinand shook the mud off him, and he, Figg, Lickboot and Jeannie look back to see Dr. Applecheek waving goodbye to them from the hole in the fence, and rolled off, in his stolen ice-cream cart.

Jeannie hurled into the pigpen, and lay, slumped on the side of the car, gasping for air. "Teenagers aren't meant for so much torture than this!" Jeannie groaned to the viewers.

"You twit!" snapped Figg as she smacked Lickboot with the underpants. "Get us out of here! They're getting away!"

Lickboot didn't need to be told twice; he revved the car up, spraying mud onto Ferdinand twice, until he got grip, then drove out of the pigpen through a fence, then outta the farm through another fence, and back onto the road. Dr. Applecheek was rolling along the road, when Lickboot's car sped past him. Ferdinand, whose skateboard was still tied to the washing line along with the back of the car's bumper, sent poor Dr. Applecheek and the ice-cream cart into a spin.

"Sorry, Dr. Applecheek!" Jeannie called to the dizzy Dr. Applecheek.

Dr. Applecheek soon regained composure and carried on.

Jeannie called out, "There they are!" Lickboot saw the paddle steamer heading for a bridge, and made the car zoom down the road towards a bridge. As the paddle steamer paddles under the bridge, the car roars up the hill, flew over the top [with Jeannie clinging tightly onto her seatbelt like her life depended on it, which it did], and flew down the other side onto the bridge. dragging poor Ferdinand, and his skateboard on the washing line with it. As the car roared over the bridge, Ferdinand's skateboard ploughed through the bridge like a water-skier, breaking all the wooden planks off it, and the car carried on over the other side of the bridge.

Now.

That aforementioned scene above was where Cpatain Kiddie, Squawk and Dr. Applecheek would soon meet their demises, but we're not focusing on them anymore for a while, so let's skip ahead with the story, shall we?

After all, Figg, Jeannie, Ferdinand, and Lickboot are the main characters of this story, as well as Robyn, Tom, Jerry, and her father, Michael Starling.

By now, Robyn, Tom, and Jerry were heading to Robyn's Nest, the place Robyn told Tom & Jerry about when they first met her.

At this point, Lickboot and Figg were still driving along the road by the river, with Ferdinand and his skateboard still trailing behind by the washing line. They zoom past an intersection, when suddenly, Lickboot stopped the car. Ferdinand was sent flying through the air and landed at the back, next to a very surprised Jeannie. Lickboot suddenly reversed back to the intersection and look at the signposts.

"Aha! Of course!" Lickboot said.

"Lickboot, what are you doing?!" Figg snapped angrily at Lickboot. "You're gonna lose them!"

"Why have we stopped now, Lickboot?" Jeannie asked impatiently. "You're gonna let them get away!"

"Don't worry, you two." Lickboot said. "Now I know where they're going. We're taking a shortcut."

He backed the car up.

"You know where they're going?" Figg said to Lickboot suddenly in surprise.

"How do you know?" Jeannie asked.

"Lawyers know everything." Lickboot said proudly, as his car sped off down the road to which the sign says 'Robyn's Nest'.

Chapter 9: FIRE IN THE CABIN!!!!

Chapter Text

As predicted, Lickboot was right - his shortcut got him, Figg, Ferdinand and Jeannie to the cabin ahead of Robyn, Tom, & Jerry.

Figg and Lickboot entered the cabin, and Jeannie followed, after having to untie Ferdinand's skateboard from the washing line.

Jeannie took her time to admire the cabin. She ran up the stairs to Robyn's room in the cabin. "I'm amazed Robyn's dad built this, on an explorer's salary." she said to herself.

Secretly, she wondered if this had what her life had ended up to be - fired from her job as babysitter, severely punished for child neglect, made to work for an evil monstrous hog like Pristine Figg, and getting fully tortured on a dangerously reckless car chase.

'Maybe it's time I re-evaluated my life choices.' Jeannie thought to herself.

At that moment, her thoughts were rudely interrupted.

"Jeannie!" Lickboot called from downstairs, "Robyn's arrived!"

Immediately, Jeannie saw the paddle steamer reach the dock to the cabin.

"She's here!" said Jeannie to herself. She hurried downstairs into the main room.

Soon, Robyn ran up to the cabin, and burst into the main room, hoping to see her dad. But the main room was in darkness.

"Daddy?" Robyn said.

A figure turns on an oil lamp, revealing the figure to be Figg instead.

"Daddy… is dead." Figg spoke in a sinister voice.

Robyn screamed loudly. It was a trap!

"Tom, Jerry, help!" Robyn yelled.

But as Tom & Jerry bolted up the stairs, Ferdinand got in front of the door to block them, but suddenly, Lickboot shut the door, accidentally pushing him outside, landing on top of Tom and Jerry. Inside, Lickboot locked the door and put the keys on a hanger.

Jeannie came up to Robyn, a smug expression on her face.

"Hello, Robyn Starling." Jeannie said. "So nice of you to come all this way, hoping to see your father."

"Alas," she added, "he's not here; but we are."

"I-I don't understand!" Robyn said, baffled. "How did you, Lickboot, and Aunt Figg get here before us?"

"You see," said Jeannie to Robyn, "in your little plan of escape, there was one little thing you overlooked."

"W-what's that?" Robyn asked.

"Well," said Jeannie, "Lickboot is your father's lawyer, so that means he knows EVERYTHING about you AND your father, including this cabin, AND the shortcut we took to it. That's how we figured out where you were going."

"So," she added smugly, "your plan wasn't quite so perfect after all, was it?"

"Exactly, Jeannie." Lickboot said, then he turned to Robyn and said, "And if you know what's good for you, you'll never run away again. Never."

"You're not taking me back! You'll never take me back!" Robyn snapped, but Lickboot grabbed her wrist. "Oh yes, we will!" he said.

Outside, Tom & Jerry heard Robyn scream. They looked through the window as Robyn then kicked Lickboot in the knee, causing him to let go of her, and she ran off.

"Ow! Why you little...!" Lickboot exclaimed, as he was hopping about whilst holding his knee.

And, as he hopped about whilst holding his knee, he accidentally bumped into Jeannie, who bumped into Figg, who knocked over the table, which knocked the oil lamp over, and it hit the floor, broke, and spilt it's oil, setting the cabin on fire!

"Oh, no!" Jeannie exclaimed.

The fire started spreading through the cabin like... well, a fire. Robyn bolted up the stairs. Tom & Jerry, who had been watching, were shocked. They had to rescue Robyn, and get her to safety, fast! Grabbing a coil of rope he'd found, Tom climbed up the cabin's wall, along with Jerry.

Inside the cabin, Robyn was up on the top floor, and she was backing away from the flames, whilst Aunt Figg, Jeannie, and Lickboot were by the upturned table.

"You fools!" Figg yelled angrily, "Look what you've done!" Realizing they were now in danger, she turned to Lickboot, who was rubbing his knee from when Robyn kicked him, and she said, "Lickboot, Jeannie, you two grab the girl and let's get outta here!"

Lickboot stood up, as did Jeannie, and stared up at Robyn. "Robyn, the house is burning down!" Lickboot pleaded, "You must get out before it's too late!"

"Yes!" cried Jeannie. "Please, come with us, Robyn, and you'll be safe!"

"No!" Robyn shouted angrily, "No, I won't go with you! You'll never take me back!"

At that moment, a beam got loosened by the flames and fell down onto the stairs, trapping Robyn on the top floor, cutting her off from Jeannie, Figg & Lickboot. She backed away and screamed in alarm, as the flames got ever closer to her.

"Not good!" cried Jeannie anxiously.

"Jeannie, Lickboot, let's get outta here before we all fry!" Figg wailed, as she ran towards the door.

"But the girl-!" Lickboot protested.

"Forget her!" Figg snapped, apparently not caring about Robyn anymore. "We gotta save ourselves!" She tugged at the door, forgetting that it was already locked.

"But Pristine, we can't just leave Robyn!" Jeannie protested.

"Oh yes, we can!" Figg snapped back at Jeannie. "If she wants to stay and get burned to death, that's fine by me! I'll still claim her daddy's money either way! Now come on, Jeannie! Help me and Lickboot get outta here!"

Jeannie stared, gobsmacked at what she realized - Figg didn't really love Robyn at all - all she cared about was her father's money, and now, at this very moment, all Figg and Lickboot cared about was saving their own hides. Suddenly, at that moment, something in Jeannie snapped.

"No." Jeannie said firmly.

Figg immediately stopped tugging at the door. "What did you say, Jeannie?!" she said in shock and horror upon hearing what she'd just heard.

"I said no." Jeannie said firmly, arms folded.

"You can't do this, Jeannie!" Figg snapped. "When I get back to the mansion, I'm calling your parents, and then I'm pinning the destruction of Daddy Starling's cabin on you! You'll be grounded until you're an old grandmother!"

"Well, I'd prefer being grounded till I'm an old grandmother than being with you in this burning cabin, you horrible old witch!" Jeannie snapped.

As Figg & Jeannie were arguing, neither they nor Lickboot saw that Tom and Jerry had reached the sunroof from outside, and they saw Robyn crouching down in a corner. Tom taps the sunroof to get her attention and she looked up to see him and Jerry on the sunroof with delight.

"You know something, Pristine?" Jeannie said crossly, "I've been working my punishment off helping you and your boyfriend to help you find Robyn and keep her away from her father, but now, after this, I think that confirms it."

"Confirms what?" Figg snapped.

"That you two are a bunch of no good dirty double-crossing jerks!" Jeannie said angrily. "I don't really think you're very nice! I've seen vultures who are kinder than you!"

Words could not describe how angry Figg was at that moment. Any words she woulda said at how she felt at this moment would almost be words even Spike the bulldog and his son Tyke, or Mammy Two-Shoes, or Nibbles, or the abusive chef owner from the cartoon 'High Steaks' shouldn't hear.

"ALRIGHT, You double-crossing, mud-sucking, no-good ex-babysitter!" Figg yelled. "If you want to go back for that brat and get burned to death, be my guest! YOU'RE FIRED!"

"Fine!" Jeannie said sternly. She headed towards Robyn, and then turned back and said to Figg, "By the way, the keys are on the hanger."

Lickboot took the keys from the hanger to show Figg. She grabbed the keys, and she & Lickboot got into a tug of war over them.

"Give me those keys!" Figg said.

Suddenly, the key hoop broke and all the keys scattered all over the floor.

"Look what you've done!" Figg yelled.

The 2 villains frantically searched for the right key, whilst outside, Ferdinand barked loudly, scraping the door anxiously.

By this time, Robyn had just been rescued by Tom and Jerry. They were just about to leave when they saw Jeannie jump to the opening and grab on by her fingers.

"Jeannie?!" exclaimed Robyn in surprise, as she and Tom pulled her out. "What are you doing?" she asked. "I told you I wouldn't go with you, Lickboot, and Aunt Figg."

"I know, but I just couldn't abandon you, Robyn." she said. "I'm getting you to your father."

Robyn gasped, as well as Jerry. Tom's jaw dropped down so fast, and so hard, it made a small hole in the roof.

"I did not see that coming." Jerry said to the viewers.

"Oh, Jeannie, I knew you cared about me!" Robyn said joyfully, hugging Jeannie.

"Wow." said Jeannie to herself, "So this is what doing good feels like."

"Uh, excuse me, Robyn," Tom said, "I really, really, REALLY hate to interrupt, but can we save the emotional moment till after we're off this burning cabin?!" the last part rising to a yell of panic.

Jeannie stared at Tom, jaw hanging. "Yeah, I know, you're quite surprised that we're talking." Tom told Jeannie. "Look," he added, "we'll explain everything as soon as we're safe, ok?"

Jeannie and Robyn didn't need to be told twice; They climbed onto the top of the roof as it shakes.

Inside, Figg, finally managed to find the right key.

But, in her haste to use it, she collided with Lickboot, and barged through the door, knocking it down onto Ferdinand's skateboard and sent him flying into the air. Lickboot stepped onto the skateboard and he rolls out of control towards the steps with Figg in his arms, and Ferdinand, who ended up on top of his head. They clattered down the steps, bumped right off on the edge, and flew towards the paddle steamer. Figg and Lickboot ended up stuck in the crow's nest, and Ferdinand landed next to the wheel, accidentally turning it, starting the paddle steamer's engine, which make the paddle steamer paddle away from the cabin, blowing steam into Lickboot's face, sending the boat with the villains on it off out of control down the river, as Ferdinand attempted to drive it.

"Serves them right." Jeannie thought.

Immediately, they saw a helicopter appearing from the woods and flying over to the burning cabin. Leaning outta the cockpit was Robyn's father, Michael Starling. "Look, the cabin's on fire! Maybe we're too late!" he called.

"Daddy!" Robyn exclaimed.

"Robyn, I'm coming! Hang on!" Michael Starling called loudly.

The helicopter flew as close as it could to the roof, but the blades whirled so fast that the wind they made forced Tom and Jerry backwards.

"Robyn, take my hand! Hurry!" Michael Starling called, holding out his hand. Robyn reached out and grabbed it as he pulled her to the cockpit.

"Oh, Daddy, I know you'd come." Robyn said gratefully.

"You're safe now, Robyn. I'm here." Michael told his daughter.

Just then, Robyn noticed Tom, Jerry, and Jeannie. "Wait, no! We can't leave them!" she said.

The helicopter hovered over the burning cabin.

"I'm coming, Robyn!" Jeannie cried. She took a big leap, and only just managed to grab on to one of the helicopter's landing skids.

Tom & Jerry climbed onto the chimney to escape the flames and waved frantically.

"Come back, come back!" Jerry called.

"Tom! Jerry!" Jeannie called, "You're gonna have to jump! Grab my legs! Hurry, you have to get off before it's too late!"

But it was already too late; because at that moment, the fire burnt through the cabin's supports, and then the whole cabin collapsed, taking Tom & Jerry with it!

"Tom! Jerry!" Robyn exclaimed in horror.

The cabin fell down and landed in the water in a complete wreck; the splashes made from when it landed extinguishing the flames.

"Oh, no!" Jeannie said, in horror, seeing it all. A few tears welled up in her eyes.

Chapter 10: A NEW HOME

Chapter Text

Once it was safe to land, Jeannie, Robyn, and Michael Starling all came down onto the dock. Robyn hugged her father in sadness.

"Oh, Daddy, they're gone! My best friends are gone!" Robyn cried.

"Don't cry, Robyn." Michael Starling said, comforting his daughter. "We'll find them."

"Yeah," said Jeannie, "I'm sure they haven't gone too far."

They stared at the wreckage of the cabin, with furniture and wood littering the water. Air bubbles appear in the water and Tom emerges, gasping for air. then, he went, "Oh, Jerry! Jerry, where are ya?!"

He frantically searched the wreckage, unaware that Jerry was on the fallen stairs to the cabin behind him.

"Oh, don't leave me, little buddy!" he panted. "You just gotta be here! What would I do without ya? You were the best pal a guy could ever have. Oh, please be alive. I promise ya, uh, uh..."

"All the cheese I can eat?" Jerry said.

"All the cheese you can eat!" said Tom. "And, uh..."

"And no more traps?" said Jerry.

"no more traps." said Tom.

"And no tricks?" said Jerry.

"No tricks." Tom said.

"That's a promise?" Jerry asked.

"That's a..." Tom Started, but then he stopped, and looked back to see Jerry behind him on a piece of the roof, alive. Immediately, he felt real mad that he'd begged and pleaded for nothing. "Oh, I'm gonna..." he said as he grabbed Jerry. "Why you little...!"

"Tom! Jerry! You're safe!" Robyn cried.

She rans onto the bank, followed by Jeannie, and Tom and Jerry run from the water towards her.

"Robyn!" Tom said, as Robyn hugged him and Jerry.

"Tom, Jerry, I'm so glad you're alright!" Jeannie said, as she hugged them. "And I am so sorry for how I acted to you, and for falsely arresting you! I knew you were trying to protect that baby from being in danger."

"Yeah, more or less." Tom said. "But it's ok, Jeannie, apology accepted." Jerry said.

Michael Starling came over, hugging Robyn.

"Robyn," he said, "I promise I'll never leave you again." He looked at Tom & Jerry. "And I want to thank you, Tom & Jerry, for helping my daughter."

"Oh, it was nothin'." Tom said.

"We're real sorry about the cabin, though." Jerry said.

They stared at the wreckage of the cabin, with furniture and wood littering the water.

"Don't worry." Michael Starling said, "We can rebuild the cabin, bigger, better than ever before."

"I agree." said Jeannie. "Oh, and Mr. Starling," she added, "there's something I'd like to discuss about Aunt Figg..."

As they walked off, Jerry said to Tom, "I wonder what happened to that dragon lady, her dog, and her boyfriend, anyway."

SOME TIME LATER...

Figg, Lickboot, and Ferdinand had being rescued from the crashed paddle steamer, by the police, and they were in the process of being arrested.

"But officer," Figg protested, "It wasn't my fault! I was just showing my concern for my poor distraught little niece!"

"A likely story!" said the police officer, as he read out her & Lickboot's charges, "Confirmed child abuse, treating a child like a hostage, trying to exploit her for money, and creating a phony reward money scam. All that's a guaranteed life sentence in bars."

"Officer, how did you know about the fake million dollar bounty?" Lickboot asked.

"My niece Jeannie told me." said a familiar voice to Figg, who turned and saw where it came from - the same patrolman who had once found Robyn and brought her to Figg. "She telephoned me and she and Michael Starling explained what happened."

Figg's blood boiled at the mention of Jeannie, and the fact that Jeannie was the patrolman's niece.

He looked at Figg disdainfully. "And here i thought you were a nice person." he turned to the officer. "Cuff'em." he said.

"That horrible little spoiled brat!" Figg snapped angrily, as she and Lickboot were handcuffed, and shoved in a police van. Ferdinand was stuffed into a carrier, and put into the police van also. "I will get my revenge on those meddlesome animals, that brat Robyn Starling and that horrible ex-babysitter if it's the last thing I do!"

So, what happened after the story?

Robyn's father called off the fake reward, and he had Lickboot fired as his lawyer.

Lickboot and Figg were both given a life sentence in prison for child abuse, exploiting Robyn for money, and setting up a fake reward. And Figg's dog Ferdinand was sent to the dog pound, and he became an easy target for the beastly street dog [the same one that chased Tom at the beginning of the movie, who, for no reason, had ended up there too].

Jeannie's heroics were rewarded with praise and cheers from the college, and she was given the offer of being a babysitter again.

But She turned it down, deciding she was gonna be a patrolwoman, like her Uncle Tino.

[BTW, the Patrolman's name is based on the name of his voice actor, Tino Insana.]

Robyn's father then put his family's money into account with a new, nicer, kinder lawyer, who also helped to fund to rebuild the cabin and enlisted that Aunt Figg's mansion and property was to be given to Robyn and her father, and also funded for a new home for Tom & Jerry, the ones who saved Robyn, and reunited her with her dad.

And Tom and Jerry?

Well, they moved into a new villa given to them by Robyn's dad's new lawyer, a short trip from the mansion.

But, no sooner was Robyn outta the room, Tom & Jerry went back to their usual chasing ways.

and that was the way they enjoyed it!
