Chapter Text
"Young Master Kamui, your father requests your presence," A middle-aged butler entered Gakupo's bedroom. The younger male ran his fingers through his long silky purple hair and let out a sigh. "Thank you. I'll be on my way," Gakupo placed down his book and stood up from his desk chair. 'What does he need me for now?' Gakupo groaned as he walked down the massive yet dimly lit hallway. "Gakupo, my son. How are you?" His father smiled as his son entered the room. "I'm alright," Gakupo muttered. "I assume you called me here for a reason?" Gakupo stared at his father who was sitting at a large table surrounded by paperwork. "This- this isn't an easy topic to bring up... uh," His father stuttered. "Yes?" Gakupo leaned against the doorway, impatient. "My... uh... my partner is going to be visiting," His father announced. "Sorry?" Gakupo gawked. "Mum's gone for 5 weeks and you decide it's time for a new woman?" Gakupo scoffed. "Excuse me I did not raise you to talk to your father like that!" His father stood up from his seat and started yelling. Gakupo backed down, knowing full well an argument with his father meant being grounded in his bedroom for 3 days. "Anyway, she will be visiting tomorrow with her daughter," His father took his seat again. "Okay?" Gakupo folded his arms. "If all goes well her daughter will become your sister, so make a nice first impression," His father picked his pen up to start writing again. "That will be all," His father dismissed him.
"No, no, no! Are you listening to a single word I'm saying to you eh?" Meiko grunted. Meiko was Gakupo's literacy tutor. Kamui Gackt is a famous novelist, famous for his political-based books. Gackt hired Meiko to teach his son, Gakupo, proper literacy in hopes that one day he could carry on the Kamui name. Gakupo however, had no interest in writing novels. Especially novels based on politics. The 16-year-old simply didn't find any joy in writing and would prefer to be outdoors kicking a ball around. "Come on, how in the world would that make any sense?!" Meiko exclaimed. She snatched the piece of paper up from the desk and read its contents aloud. "Which is meaning symbolises a large percentage of supporters" She scoffed as she read the sentence. "Your complicating things. Here," Meiko started scribbling on the paper. "Which symbolises the large percentage of supporters," She read aloud as she wrote. "You were close," She slammed the paper back down on the desk. "What's on your mind?" Meiko sat down beside the distracted boy. "Huh?" Gakupo stared at her. "Your daydreaming," Meiko smiled. The young woman giggled a little. "I think we will leave your literacy there for today. You don't seem to be very focused at the moment," Meiko sighed as she stood up and packed away all her belongings. "I'll see you tomorrow" The brunette waved and left the room.
"Please mother~" Miku begged. "No Miku! You need to make a good first impression, on your own!" Fujita held Mikus shoulder. "Just one! Please!" Miku begged while holding her mother's hands tight. "Miku please, you're not making things easy for me," Fujita sighed. "Fine. You can bring either Luka or Gumi," Fujita caved. Luka and Gumi were both household maids for the Hatsune family. Mr Hatsune had left the house 3 years ago and never returned, taking Mikus's brother Mikuo with him in the process. "Yayy! I want Luka please" Miku grinned. She had won. "Kaito, go and fetch the maid with pink hair please," Fujita bent down to eye level with the young blue-haired boy. Kaito stared at the woman for a moment before figuring out what she was saying and leaving to find the pink-haired maid. "Mother, can I bring him too~" Miku pleaded to her mother once again. "Miku-" Fujita stared at her daughter for a minute before giggling to herself. "Oft okay," Fujita smiled.
Kaito sprinted into the kitchen searching for the maid. He then spotted someone with bright green hair. "E-excuse me," Kaito muttered to the maid. "Oh Kaito, how may I help you?" She smiled politely at him. "I'm meant to find the maid with pink hair," Kaito said to her. "Oh, you want to find Luka?" The green-haired girl stood up to think for a second. "I think she is currently cleaning Miss Miku's room. How about you go and look there," The maid said. "Do you know where that is?" She asked. Kaito took a second to try and remember where the bedroom was, but eventually, it popped into his head. He nodded before leaving the kitchen and heading to the young master's bedroom. Kaito sprinted down the halls and up the stairs to try and get to Mikus's room as soon as possible. As he was running, he bumped into someone and fell backwards, onto the floor. "Hey, watch where you're running kid!" A man yelled down to the boy. "I'm sorry..." Kaito looked up at the man with guilty eyes, but the man said nothing and continued walking down the hall. Finally, he reached Mikus's room. "Miss Luka?" Kaito peered into the bedroom. He saw Luka dusting some bookshelves. "Miss Luka!" Kaito grinned and ran into the room. "Kaito? Why are you in here?" Luka kneeled in front of Kaito. "Miss Miku wants to bring you with her..." Kaito muttered. "Oh, okay ill be right down," Luka walked towards the hallway and put all of her cleaning utensils away before taking Kaitos hand and walking back to Miku and Fujita.
"How old is the son?" Miku asked while giggling. "And why would you like to know Missus," Fujita grinned at her daughter. "I'm sure that Mr Gakupo has just turned 16 recently," Fujita thought. "Oh, he's a bit too young then..." Miku sighed. "Excuse me? I think that's plenty old enough for you!" Fujita gasped. "No, no, no! Not for me!" Miku leaned into her mother. "For Luka," Miku giggled into her mother's ear. Luka, being able to hear this conversation, looked out of the window. Her face was pure red. "Say Kaito, you're a boy aren't you?" Miku stared the young boy in the eyes. "Y-yes of course I am," Kaito looked back at her in a huff. "You should ask Mr Gakupo out for Luka!" Miku exclaimed. "Miku!" Fujita hushed Miku. "Miss Miku, I appreciate the thought but I would rather not be set up with Mr Gakupo," Luka spoke up. "Oh... Sorry Luka," Miku giggled guiltily. The four were currently being driven to Kamui Gackt's estate. Miku was over-excited and saying things before she thought, therefore embarrassing and insulting her workers (and even her mother) but nonetheless, they all enjoyed the sociable car trip. "We have arrived Ms Hatsune," The driver announced. "Thank you, Al. You may return to the estate," Fujita spoke through the window of the car. Miku slid the door open to reveal a very grand entrance. There were perfectly trimmed shrubbery, rows upon rows of colourful fruit trees, and beautiful flowers, all leading up to the grand Kamui Estate. "Woah..." Miku muttered. "Luka, can I count on you to look after these two?" Fujita looked at the pink-haired maid. "Of course Ms Hatsune," Luka nodded.
"Y-young Master what on earth are you doing!?" Kiyoteru exclaimed as he watched Gakupo completely ruin his outfit while playing football in the muddy garden. "What does it look like I'm doing?" Gakupo scoffed. "Please just get back inside and change. Ms Hatsune has arrived with her daughter," Kiyoteru sighed. "Fine" Gakupo huffed. As Gakupo was walking back inside, he saw his father, nervously waiting at the front door. "Father? You okay?" Gakupo stared at his father. "Gakupo! What have you done!" Gackt exclaimed. "Lily! Get him changed as soon as possible!" Gackt ordered. "Yes sir," Lily obeyed and walked with Gakupo to his bedroom. "I think you can tell that master is nervous about today. Why would you go and make his life harder?" Lily scolded. "I didn't mean it. I was just bored," Gakupo admitted. "Just go and get changed and meet the master and Ms Hatsune downstairs." Lily sighed.
"Gackt how are you!?" Fujita had a smile plastered on her face as she entered the estate. "Fujita, I'm great," Gackt hugged Fujita. Miku stared at the couple with suspecting eyes. "You must be Miss Miku," Gackt held out a hand for her to shake. Miku felt it would get her in trouble to not, so she shook his hand. "It's nice to meet you, Mr Kamui." Miku backed away and held Luka's hand. "And who are these two?" Gackt looked over to Luka. "Ah, this is one of our housemaids Megurine Luka," Fujita smiled. "Miku really wanted her to tag along," Fujita chuckled. "And who is this young one?" Gackt looked down at Kaito. "That is Kaito, he is our... butler!" Fujita giggled. "I see," Gackt looked back at Fujita. "Why don't you three go and meet my son Gakupo? He should be down here any minute," Gackt kept looking at the staircase his son should be entering from. "Of course. We will wait here for Mr Gakupo," Luka bowed. Gackt took Fujita's arm and walked her to the sitting room where they would sit for hours.
After a couple of minutes of waiting, a blonde maid rushed down the stairs and approached the small group. "S-sorry about the young master... he should be down shortly. "No problem. I'm Megurine Luka, a housemaid of the Hatsune Estate," Luka introduced. "I see. Well, I'm Lily, a personal maid for young master Gakupo," Lily smiled. Luka and Lily locked eyes for a second. "I'm Hatsune Miku!" She enthusiastically held out her hand for Lily to shake. "A-ah nice to meet you, Miss Hatsune," Lily giggled. "This here is Kaito, he's our butler!" Miku ran beside Kaito and swung her arm over his shoulder. Kaito looked up at Lily and bowed shyly. "He's so young..." Lily looked at the young boy. "Yeah... he moved into the estate only a couple of months ago," Luka explained. Once Luka had finished speaking, none other than Kamui Gakupo walked down the stairs. "Hi there. I'm Kamui Gakupo," Gakupo bowed for them. "I'm Hatsune Miku, it's great that you finally decided to show up," Miku scoffed. Gakupo had a feeling that he and the 14-year-old girl would not get along. "Aah- yeah. And who might you have brought along with you?" Gakupo looked at the pink-haired maid. "Oh her? That's Luka. And she's not interested." Miku grinned. "Huh!?" Gakupo exclaimed. "Yeah, you heard me!" Miku smirked. They definitely would not get along. "Why don't we do something then?" Lily suggested. "What do you have in mind?" Luka asked. "Well... I have paints in my room," Lily thought. "Great idea! The girls will do crafts and the boys will do something else!" Miku grabbed Luka and Lily's hands and ran off, having no idea where she was going. That left Gakupo and Kaito.

Chapter Text
"Hi kid, why don't you go and find something fun to do around the house?" Gakupo said before walking towards the stairs. Kaito started panicking as soon as he left. There was nobody there. He was alone. Nobody to talk with him. In an unfamiliar place. It was just as if he was abandoned. Again. Suddenly Kaito dropped to the floor on his knees and was hyperventilating. Tears were rolling down his cheeks as he breathed. In and out. In and out. While Gakupo was about to ascend the stairs, he heard the boy sobbing so immediately ran back towards him again. "H-hey what are you doing!?" Gakupo kneeled down next to Kaito who was having a panic attack. Kaito stopped taking such deep breaths and stared at Gakupo for a second. "Kid?" Gakupo put his hands on the boy's shoulders. Kaito felt so relieved as he did this. It made him feel safe and wanted. Kaito couldn't hold back and dived in for a hug. Gakupo looked down at him shocked. Nobody had embraced Gakupo like that before. It was a warm hug. After a minute, Gakupo returned the hug and put his arms around Kaito. "I'm sorry for walking away like that..." Gakupo apologized. Kaito pulled away and stood back up, now at eye level with Gakupo. "What's your name kid?" Gakupo asked. "I'm Kaito," He stared at the ground. "Hey, I have an idea..." Gakupo grinned. He grabbed Kaito and sat him up on his shoulders. Kaito felt a little surprised at first but once he was up there, he was super happy. "You ever played football?" Gakupo asked. "No, how do you play that?" Kaito replied. "This is gonna be fun," Gakupo grinned.
"Woah, these are magnificent Lily," Luka gawked at the paintings that filled the sketchbook. "Thanks! I do this as a hobby when I'm not working," Lily smiled. "Nobody has ever admired my work before like this, I really appreciate it," Lily looked downwards embarrassed. "Is this Gakupo?" Miku pointed to one painting from another book she just picked up. "Ahh! Please don't look through that one!" Lily snatched the book away. "I-Im sorry..." Lily apologised. "That book is full of portraits of people, which I'm not as confident on..." Lily explained. "Not as confident!? It looked amazing Lily!" Miku exclaimed. "Huh?" Lily muttered. "Could you paint something for me?" Miku requested. "Oh- um- that depends," Lily replied. "Please paint Luka for me!" Miku begged. "M-Miss Miku!" Luka stuttered. "Oh- I mean..." Lily started. "Please don't feel pressured by her..." Luka's face was once again a bright red. "I would love to do a portrait of you..." Lily smiled a little. "H-huh?" Luka looked at the blonde. "Of course- with your permission!..." Lily sat on her chair. "I- I wouldn't mind it," Luka smiled. "Great!" Lily blushed a little.
"Would you get in trouble if you got muddy?" Gakupo asked. All Kaito did is shrug. "Well then," Gakupo muttered. "Hey, how old are you anyway?" Gakupo asked. "I'm 6," Kaito stated. "Huh, I believe it," Gakupo looked at Kaito. He was wearing very formal clothes, it's exactly what you would expect from a butler, although he was wearing a pair of shorts and instead of a tie, he had a mahogany coloured ribbon. "Here, just take off your blazer, your waistcoat and necktie... roll up your shorts and pray you have spare shoes at home," Gakupo helped Kaito take off some of his clothes. "Alright, let's do this," Gakupo grinned as he put on the other clothes that he got muddy earlier. Gakupo took Kaitos hand and began walking but Kaito wouldn't budge. "Kaito?" Gakupo turned and looked down at him. "I want to go on your shoulders again," Kaito smiled. "Oh do you now," Gakupo grinned. Gakupo lifted the boy off the ground and sat him on top of his shoulders. "How's that?" Gakupo asked. "Great!" Kaito gave him a thumbs up. "Then let's go, for real this time," Gakupo chuckled. On their way there, maids and other workers from the estate gave them confused looks, but they continued to the muddy garden. "Woah, where did you get that ball from... It looks amazing!" Kaito gawked at the football that was laying on the grass. "You even have a net!" Kaito grinned. "It's called a goal but whatever. You ready to play some football!" Gakupo exclaimed. "Yeah!" Kaito threw his arm in the air. "I'll make this easier for you, basically just kick this ball until you can kick it into the goal. But I will also be there, trying to take the ball from you, so you have to make sure I don't. But you can't touch the other player," Gakupo explained. "Oh okay," Kaito sighed. "What's wrong? You don't want to play?" Gakupo asked. "No, I just wish we could be on the same team..." Kaito frowned. "Haha, alright. For now, while you're learning, we can be on the same team and we will work together to score a goal," Gakupo ruffled Kaitos blue hair. "Yay!" Kaito smiled.
"Lily that's amazing!" Miku gasped at the drawing on the paper. "M-miss Miku it's just a basic sketch," Lily stammered. "But it looks almost identical to Luka!" Miku grinned. "Almost?" Lily frowned. "Yes, almost. It seems like you have an art style that influenced the drawing to make it even cuter!" Miku exclaimed. "Aha, I see," Lily chuckled awkwardly. Luka sat on a stool, gracefully staring out the window. Luka was usually quite a calm person, but after looking out the window for a couple of seconds, she became tense. "M-miss Lily? Your young master seems to be making quite a mess out back..." Luka pointed down to the garden where Gakupo and Kaito could be seen, kicking a muddy ball between each other. "Oh, God. Oh no. Master is going to kill me..." Lily gasped. "I'm sorry, could you two stay here for a bit?" Lily asked them. "No problem Lily," Miku smiled. "Thank you, ill be back as soon as possible," Lily rushed out of the room. While Lily was sprinting through the estate, she saw her Master, Gackt, walking through the halls with a bottle of red wine. He spotted Lily rushing and wondered what happened. "Lily, what seems to be wrong?" Gackt asked her. "M-Master!" Lily yelped. "Lily?" Gackt stared at her. "U-Uh don't mind me! You continue speaking with Ms Hatsune," Lily fidgeted with her hand behind her back. "Lily. I don't believe you are one to keep secrets from me," Gackt folded his arms. "I'm sorry Master. Young Master Gakupo is out in the garden once again, getting muddy..." Lily sighed. "Well as long as he isn't disturbing my guests, let him do what he wants right now," Gackt shrugged. "W-well you see... he is playing against the young butler Ms Hatsune arrived with..." Lily muttered. "Excuse me?" Gackt raised his voice. "I'm sorry Master! I have been entertaining Miss Miku and her maid and never stopped to consider what the young master might have been doing! This is completely my fault!" Lily lowered her head. "Lily. Go and tell Gakupo to get inside." Gackt was fuming. "Yes, Master..." Lily bowed before running off.
"Excellent! Now I'm going to pass it to you and you're going to kick it into the goal! You got this?" Gakupo grinned. Kaito nodded enthusiastically. "Alright get ready!" Gakupo lightly kicked the ball towards Kaito. When it finally rolled over to him, he tried to mimic some of the tricks that Gakupo was doing but ended up falling down into the mud. He was covered in mud. "Come on! Get back up and shoot!" Gakupo yelled over to him. Those words encouraged Kaito to get back up and try again. So he stood up, gained balance and kicked the ball as hard as he could into the goal. "You did it! You scored a goal!" Gakupo celebrated. The way Gakupo was being so enthusiastic influenced Kaitos mood too, making his usual distant attitude disappear as he was so happy and full of life. "Young master what on earth are you doing!?"Lily yelled. "Ugh," Gakupo rolled his eyes. Lily then looked over to Kaito. "oh no no no..." Lily muttered to herself as she stared at the boy, covered in mud. "Master might really kill me this time..." Lily rested her face on her hands, feeling stressed. "Young Master. Your father has requested that you are to return inside," Lily announced. "Ugh fine. Kaito you wait out here and practice shooting into the goal from this line," Gakupo pointed to a yellow strip of tape on the grass. Kaito nodded and got to work, kicking the ball into the goal from the designated line. "Young master, why did you have to go and do this?" Lily asked him. "What do you mean?" Gakupo looked at her. "You have to go and get muddy while we have guests, which the master values, a lot." Lily groaned. After Lily said this, the pair could hear panicked muttering from behind them. "Kaito?".
"Luo, would you mind fetching Miss Hatsune Miku and company?" Gackt asked a maid who was dusting a bookshelf. "Of course not, Master Kamui," Luo bowed before running off to Lily's room to find Miss Hatsune Miku. "Thank you so much for today Gackt, I really enjoyed it," Fujita smiled softly. "You're welcome anytime Fujita," Gackt held up her hand and kissed it. Fujita giggled to herself like a high schooler in love. "I do apologise about my son. It seems he has been quite rebellious lately," Gackt apologised. "It's not a problem at all. I can always meet him another time," Fujita replied. "Actually, Fujita, that young butler you arrived with has been badly influenced by my son," Gackt admitted. "Huh? What do you mean?" Fujita stared at Gackt confused. "Mother!" Miku shouted down the hallway to Fujita. "Miku! Where are your manners!?" Fujita scolded. "Mother, you have to see Kaito. He is muddy from head to toe!" Miku giggled. "What happened!?" Fujita panicked. "Ms Hatsune, it seems that Kaito has been playing ball games with Kamui Gakupo," Luka added. "Fujita I am terribly sorry," Gackt apologised once again. "Gackt, I don't think you understand," Fujita chuckled. "That young boy doesn't get along with people very well," Fujita explained. "Where are they?" Fujita asked. "I'll lead the way," Luo started walking towards the garden.
"Hey, hey! What's wrong, calm down!" Gakupo ran over to Kaito. It seemed like Kaito was panicking again. He had his hands to his face, creating an even muddier mess. He was muttering inaudible words to himself and sobbing. "Kaito listen to me!" Gakupo grabbed both of Kaitos hands off of his face and stared him in the eyes. "What's wrong?" Gakupo asked him. "Is it my fault you got into trouble?" Kaito sobbed. "What? Of course not!" Gakupo kneeled down to be at eye level with the small boy. "You had fun today did you not?" Gakupo asked. "Y-yeah?" Kaito wiped his face, although it made no difference as he was already covered in mud. "Then who cares if we get in trouble for it!" Gakupo smiled. That warm, caring smile. Kaito loved it. It calmed him. "Thank you Gakupo..." Kaito smiled through the tears. Lily was watching the two from afar, so as to not get muddy. She had never seen this caring side of her young master before. She was a little shocked. "Luo?" Lily turned around to see one of her friends Luo standing behind her. "Oh lord," Luo stared at the two boys. "Woah..." Luka gawked. Miku laughed at the mud mess. "Impressive," Fujita mumbled to herself. "How so?" Gackt overheard. "Well, nobody has really gotten through to that kid properly to be so close to him," Fujita stared at the pair. "That's honestly surprising. My son isn't known for having a good effect on kids," Gackt remembered the one time he had his 7-year niece over and Gakupo started throwing things at her. There was also a time when Gackt's friend brought over his 9-year-old son and Gakupo started insulting him. The latter occurred 2 weeks ago. "Kaitooooo!" Miku yelled. "It's time to goooo!" She yelled again. Kaito looked up at her, agitated. He then wrapped his little arms around Gakupos waist and held onto him. Gakupo looked down at Kaito and smiled at him. "You don't want to go?" Gakupo asked him. Kaito shook his head. Gakupo noticed his father glaring at him. "Come on, take my hand," Gakupo grabbed Kaitos hand and began walking, but Kaito didn't move. Gakupo looked back at him, quickly realising what he wanted. "Alright then," Gakupo lifted Kaito up and sat him on his shoulders. Fujita was staring at them shocked. Gakupo walked over to the small crowd who stood on the not-so-muddy footpath. Gakupo grabbed Kaito off of his shoulders and placed him down. "It was a pleasure hanging out with you," Gakupo bowed to Kaito before returning inside.
"But what shall we do? Kaito, you're all muddy!" Fujita pointed out. Kaito looked down at himself and then realised what a mess he had made. "I-Im so sorry..." Kaito muttered. "We can't bring you back in the car, you would get it all muddy!" Miku stated. Kaito looked at her, disappointed in himself. "I can walk," Kaito said. "Haha, they're kidding you on Kaito," Luka chuckled. "I can walk," Kaito said again. Miku looked at him confused. "Did I break him?" Miku poked him on his shoulder which earned a flinch in return. "Miku," Fujita started. Before anyone knew it, Kaito was on his knees, covering his whole face with his hands and was crying. "I can walk," Kaito sobbed. "M-mother..." Miku held her mother's hand, feeling extremely at fault. Lily who was watching the whole time got a great idea and ran inside. "Luka, go and tell the driver to bring the car around," Fujita ordered. Luka nodded before running off down the driveway and into the distance. "M-mother you know how to deal with him right?" Miku cowered. Fujita worked as a social worker for kids in troubled situations. That's why Miku was so sure that her mother could deal with this. "I don't know if I can... We don't know anything about him," Fujita was thinking. A couple of minutes later, Lily returned with Gakupo trailing behind her. "Over there! Just go hug him or something," Lily pointed over to the commotion. "Ugh this has become such a pain," Gakupo groaned. Gakupo walked up to Kaito and instead of kneeling down to hug him, he picked him up off of the ground and hoisted him over his shoulder. Kaito stopped crying from shock but didn't resist. Gakupo walked inside and into his bedroom, where he placed him down on the floor. "You forgot your clothes," Gakupo handed him his blazer etc. "Thanks," Kaito mumbled. Kaito began to reach for Gakupos hand but before he could grab it, Gakupo took Kaitos face into his hands and pulled him closer to him. "Stop being a brat and go home," Gakupo grinned after menacingly saying those words to Kaito. He nodded before sprinting out of the room and back to Miku and company.

Chapter Text
"Hey, did you hear about the Hatsune Rescue?" "No what happened?" "Well, the owner caught a terminal illness from one of the kids they rescued," "No way..." "Yeah, apparently she's bedridden," "What about the other volunteers there?" "All of them left. They didn't want to catch the illness." "That's horrible... what happens to the kids there now?" "I don't know..." "Oh, dear,"
"Len, you need to stop seeing that girl," Asahi, Len's father, ordered him. "Why?" Len whined. "You know fine why! Her dumbass mother caught a terminal disease from some ratty kid!" Asahi yelled. "Asahi! Don't speak about Fujita like that! She is a lovely woman!" Asami, Len's mother, butted in. "No offence to the woman Len, but come on! Think rationally here," Asahi exclaimed. "If you're a medical genius why don't you help her," Len retorted. "I'm going to see Miku," Len stormed out of the estate. "If you dare enter the Hatsune estate, you're never welcome back here again!" Asahi yelled as loud as he could. As a tear rolled down Len's face, he left the Kagamine estate and made his way over to his fiancee. "Asahi. Why are you being so harsh to Len?" Asami asked him. "That boy never listens to a thing I say. So if he wants to leave and ignore me. Then he isn't welcome back into my house. He's eighteen years old now. He can fend for himself." Asahi was very angry at his son. "He's still a child..." Asami sighed. "If only he were more like his sister," Asahi groaned. "Excuse me!?" Asami was shocked. "What? Rin is well-mannered, has a job and listens to what I tell her. She's the perfect kid," Asahi shrugged. "That's because she's got better treatment from you compared to Len," Asami glared at her husband. "Listen I don't have time for this. Asami, go and tell our chef that I'm ready for lunch," Asahi ordered. "Of course," Asami stormed out of the room.
"Hey Luka, how have you and Lily been recently?" Gumi asked Luka as they sat together eating lunch. "Yeah, it's been alright. Although it has been difficult to meet due to Ms Hatsune's illness, we try and see each other as much as we can," Luka nodded as she took a bite of the sandwich. "Wouldnt it have been amazing if things worked out between Mrs Hatsune and Mr Kamui," Gumi stated. "What do you mean?" Luka asked. "I mean for you and Lily. You wouldn't need to sneak around so much," Gumi sipped her tea. "I guess it would have been pretty good for us" Luka smiled. "But we make it work somehow," Luka swung on her chair. "Hiya girlies," Leon entered their breakroom. "L-Leon..." Luka stared at the older man. "I heard some pretty revolting news," Leon started. "Oh yeah? What might that have been?" Gumi challenged. "I hear we have a fag in our building," Leon stared straight at Luka. "Leon!" Gumi stood up from her chair. "Woman, that's no way to talk to a man!" Leon scoffed at Gumi. Gumi gritted her teeth in anger. "So fag, oops I mean Luka, haha," Leon chuckled. "Is this something I should be telling the police about?" Leon threatened. Luka started at the man in fear. "W-what do you want?" Luka stuttered. "Luka..." Gumi trembled. "You know how you always snitch on me to Ms Hatsune for absolutely anything? I want that to stop. You see me muck up? Keep it to yourself. Got it fag?" Leon was blackmailing her. Luka felt so threatened but there was nothing she could do. "Alright," Luka agreed to his terms. "And don't worry about yourself. I'll be staying clear of any fags," Leon spat onto the floor. "Clean that up," Leon chuckled as he left the breakroom. "What a dick!" Gumi yelled in frustration. From the corner of her eye, Gumi could see Luka crying. "Oh god... Luka,"
"Who does he even think he is!" Len yelled to himself. He was walking in the forest which separated quite a few estates from each other. In this gated community were the Kagamine estate, Kamui estate, Hatsune Estate and the Haigo estate. On his way to Mikus, he saw a boy raking leaves from the path which led up to the Hatsune estate. Len had never seen this butler before so began getting suspicious of him. "Hello there?" Len approached the boy. "Hi there. Welcome to the Hatsune estate. Is there anything I can help you with?" The boy greeted. "No, no. I'm just wondering who you are exactly," Len glared at him. "Oh sorry. I'm Kaito, a butler for the estate. Nice to meet you," Kaito greeted. Len was still suspicious. "I see. Well I am Len Kagamine and I am Mikus's fiancee," Len stood proud. "Wow! You're Mr Kagamine! I've heard from Miss Miku about you," Kaito stared. "I-I see," Len blushed. "Well I better be going in now," Len rushed away without a proper goodbye. Kaito simply stared at Len as he ran down the freshly raked path. "Hey there Kaito," Leon walked towards him. "H-Hello Mr Leon," Kaito spun around in shock when he heard the voice. "What gave you the idea that you could talk to Miss Mikus's valued guests huh?" Leon took a step closer to Kaito. "I-Im sorry. He approached me first," Kaito gripped the rake tight. "Well next time, make sure you're not in anyone's way," Leon spat. "Of course," Kaito apologised then got back to work. Once Leon left, Kaito felt relieved. Being around Leon makes Kaito very stressed and even makes him have panic attacks, a thing that is quite regular for Kaito.
"Len!" Miku ran towards Len who was standing at the front door. "Miku, how are you?" Len smiled when he saw his fiancee's face. Anything she does makes Len smile. "I'm alright," Miku smiled back at Len. "What brings you here?" Miku asked. "Oh," Len remembered why he left the estate. "Len?" Miku waved a hand over Len's distracted face. "Aha, sorry. I just wanted to come and see you," Len hugged Miku. "Aw, that's sweet," Miku hugged Len back. "I'll go and let mother know you're here," Miku turned away for a second, "Actually, how long do you plan on staying? We can request a driver to take you home if you wish," Miku offered. "Aha, that's not a problem. My father has kicked me out so technically I can't go back there," Len admitted. "O-oh I see," Miku stuttered. "This will - blow over right?" Miku paused. "I'm not sure Miku," Len sighed. "I see," Miku gulped. "I'll be right back Len," Miku ran off to her mother. While Len was waiting at the front door, Gumi and Luka walked by him. "Mr Kagamine! How are you?" Gumi greeted. "Gumi, Luka, Good afternoon!" Len smiled. "I'm just here visiting Miku," Len looked over to where Miku walked off. "She must be away speaking to Ms Fujita at the moment," Gumi thought. "Luka? Is everything alright with you?" Len noticed Lukas's usual happy aura suddenly disappear. "Oh- I'm great," Luka faked a smile. "Right," Len clasped his hands. "Hey..." Len began. "Yes?" Gumi looked at him. "Say my father was to lose his worth. Say my family and I ended up on the street. What are the chances that Miku would leave me?" Len fidgeted. "Len... Has something happened at home?" Luka took both of Len's hands into hers. "Sort of," Len admitted. Luka took Len into a warm embrace. "I feel like this is something both of us could use at the moment," Luka whispered to him. Len blushed but hugged her back. During their embrace, Kaito entered the estate with a young woman behind him. "Miss Luka, Miss Gumi, this girl, Kagamine Rin, is here to see her brother," Kaito opened the door so that Rin could enter. "Rin!" Len ran over to his sister. "Len. What have you done," Rin sobbed into her brother's arms. "What happened?" Len asked her. "Mother and father haven't spoken since you left about an hour and a half ago. They exchange angry glares and that's about it..." Rin explained. "What? Why?" Len asked again. Rin didn't reply and just sobbed in her brother's embrace. "Why don't you two talk this out in our break room," Gumi offered them. The twins exchanged looks before nodding and following Gumi away. "I'll get back to tidying the garden," Kaito bowed to Luka before taking his leave. "Alright," Luka smiled.
"Not so fast," Leon grabbed Kaitos shoulder. "Mr L-Leon!" Kaito yelped. "Didn't I tell you to stay out of our guest's way?" Leon used his other hand to lift Kaitos's face closer to his. Luka, witnessing the abuse, couldn't do anything. She cringed as the older man assaulted the boy, but was powerless. She took one last glance at the two before walking away. "L-Luka..." Kaito winced. "You need to be taught how to listen to your elder's boy," Leon grabbed Kaitos wrist and pulled him away from the building and behind some trees and shrubbery. "When I tell you to do something, what do you do?" Leon quizzed. Kaito stared at Leon fearfully. When Kaito said nothing, Leon pulled back his arm and clenched his fist. "Want to try again?" Leon offered. "I-I" Kaito stuttered. "Wrong" Leon thrust his arm fist forward, right into Kaitos stomach. Kaito curled up on the ground in pain. The man packed a sturdy punch that was for sure. Leon reached down and grabbed a handful of Kaitos hair and pulled it up. "You are a pathetic excuse for a man," Leon spat at Kaito. "If you won't be a man. I'll turn you into my bitch. You're practically a woman anyway," Leon chuckled. "Go back to raking your leaves, my bitch," Leon caressed Kaitos face before walking away dauntingly.
"Mother. How are you feeling?" Miku held her sickly mother's hand. "I'm just fine Miku," Fujita smiled weakly. "I hear quite a commotion downstairs, have we got guests?" Fujita tried to sit up in her bed. "Mother lay down. It's just Len here for a visit," Miku told her. "Aw, I love that boy. You make sure and not break his heart young lady," Fujita laughed. "Of course," Miku sighed. "Miku, on you go and hang out with Len. I'll be alright here," Fujita said to her daughter. "Alright, mother. If you need me, send someone," Miku let go of her mother's fragile hand and left the bedroom. "Please don't break his heart Miku..." Fujita sighed to herself. "Len, please come home and apologise..." Rin begged. "Why should I? That man treats me like shit then expects me to respect him? No way!" Len argued. "Len..." Rin sobbed. Len hugged back into his sister watching her cry. "I'm sorry Rin. I can't," Len twirled her hair in his fingers. "You don't even need to apologise at this point, please just come home with me. I can't live there without you," Rin sniffled. A single tear rolled down Len's face. "Rin," Len hugged Rin tighter and cried into her shoulder. She held her brother's head as they both cried together.
"Good morning Mr Gackt," Meiko greeted as she entered the Kamui estate. "Miss Haigo! It's great to see you," Gackt smiled. "I'm just here to see Gakupo," Meiko explained. "Well on you go then. He's just up in his bedroom writing," Gackt closed the door behind his guest. "Oh Mr Kamui, I heard about Fujita," Meiko's mood suddenly changed. "I don't know your relationship with her but I know you two were close and this must be hard for you," Meiko sympathised. "Miss Haigo. What's wrong with Fujita?" Gackt asked with a stern look. "Oh, you don't know? Sorry for bringing it up. Well you see, Ms Hatsune caught a terminal illness from one of the kids she rescued," Meiko explained the horrid news. Gackt was honestly quite shocked. While he was collecting his thoughts, Gakupo emerged down the stairs. "Oh hey Meiko," Gakupo smiled. Meiko glared at him and after a minute, Gakupo understood he was to keep his mouth shut. "What happened?" Gakupo whispered to Meiko. "Ms Hatsune has a terminal illness," Meiko whispered back. "Shit," Gakupo sighed. "Gakupo. We are paying the Hatsune estate a visit," Gackt grabbed his coat. "Father you can't just show up," Gakupo held his father's arm. "Come on!" Gackt pulled his arm away. "Alright, I'll go get the driver," Gakupo backed off. "Sorry Meiko, we can hang out another time," Gakupo apologised. "It's not a problem," Meiko felt like she should be the one apologising for bringing Fujita up.

Chapter Text
"Why didn't Luka say anything this time? She always tells Leon off for being annoying," Kaito thought to himself. He continued raking the leaves. "Why did he keep calling me his bitch?" Kaito wondered. Thinking of what happened grossed Kaito out so he stopped thinking about it so much and focused on cleaning up. "Luka what the hell!" Gumi yelled. "What?" Luka stared. "You're seriously letting that dick blackmail you!?" Gumi exclaimed. "What do you mean?" Luka stood up defensively from her chair. "Luka, you know fine what Leon tried when he ran off with Kaito," Gumi folded his arms. "You saw that?!" Luka widened her eyes. "Luka, you can't let him get away with that! He is committing several crimes by blackmailing you," Gumi reasoned. "Yes but I'm committing crimes too! He heard our conversation Gumi! He knows I like women. That's a crime in itself!" Luka started crying. "Gumi what do I do!?" Luka sobbed. "I can't go to the police because I like women, and I can't keep telling Leon off or he will tell the police," Luka cried into Gumi's arm. "Listen Luka. I'm not saying you should go to the police. In fact, I advise you to stay as far away from them as possible. But you're the head maid of the estate, you need to set ground rules for your staff," Gumi explained. "Maybe instead of going to Ms Hatsune for everything he does, lecture him yourself. I'm not saying it will work, but it's worth a try. Especially if he is harassing people," Gumi held Luka in her arms. "Alright. Next time, I'll say something," Luka wiped her tears and smiled. "Thanks, Gumi," Luka stood up. "It was nothing," Gumi grinned. "How about I brew some tea and we can speak to the Kagamine twins," Gumi suggested. "That sounds great," Luka smiled.
"It's been 5 years since we have seen her, do you think she will even recognise me!?" Gackt muttered to himself. He was obviously in some state of shock. "Father. If you still like her, now might be your only chance," Gakupo pointed out. "How dare you say that. Fujita will make it through this." Gackt glared at Gakupo. "I'm sorry, but you never know what might happen to someone. I'm just saying, maybe now is the right time," Gakupo stared out of the car window at the trees. "Mr Kamui, we have arrived," The driver announced. "Thank you, Philip," Gakupo thanked before assisting his father with getting out of the car. "Remember, the woman is probably poorly, so keep your cool," Gakupo was preparing his father. "Yes," Gackt agreed. As the pair were making their way to the estate, Gakupo noticed a certain blue-haired butler whom he hadn't seen in a very, very long time. "Kaito?" Gakupo yelled out. Gackt stared at his son. Kaito turned around at the speed of light. People don't usually call out to him. "Welcome to the Hatsune estate, hold on while I find someone to help you," Kaito quickly said before rushing away. "Wait a second!" Gakupo ran up to Kaito and grabbed his shoulder. "You're Kaito, right?" Gakupo held Kaitos shoulder. "Y-yes. Please just wait a-" Kaito was cut off by Gakupo covering his mouth with his hand. "It's been ages since we have seen each other. It's me, Kamui Gakupo," Gakupo grinned at the boy. "Y-you?" Kaito backed away from Gakupo. "You seem surprised?" Gakupo chuckled. "Please let me go and get someone else to show you to the door," Kaito whispered to Gakupo. "Why?" Gakupo stared. "I've been told I'm not allowed to talk to guests," Kaito explained. "I don't care. Show me and my father to the door," Gakupo grabbed Kaitos wrist and pulled him over. "Father, this is Kaito. He visited our estate with Fujitas daughter about 9, maybe 10, years ago," Gakupo pointed to the teen. "Kaito huh? How is Fujita? Is she okay?" Gackt approached Kaito and held both his hands. "I- uh- Ms Hatsune is in stable condition but is bedridden. I would be happy to show you to her room," Kaito stepped away and started walking towards the building. The Kamui followed. "So Gakupo. You write novels now huh?" Kaito made small talk on their walk. "Yup," Gakupo replied dryly. Kaito groaned at his attempt at conversation and decided maybe silence would be best.
"Mayu, these are Mr Gackt Kamui and Mr Gakupo Kamui here to see Ms Hatsune," Kaito explained to the blonde maid. "I understand. I will escort you both to see Ms Hatsune now, please follow me," Mayu started walking away. Gackt hastily followed, however, his son didn't seem to move. "M-Mr Kamui, please follow Mayu, she will - take you to see Ms Hatsune," Kaito said while trembling. Gakupo grabbed Kaito by the wrist and pulled him back outside. "Is everything alright with you?" Gakupo interrogated. "Haha, w-why do you ask?" Kaito chuckled nervously. "Of course Mr Kamui! T-The bathroom is right in here!" Kaito yelled. "What?" Gakupo was suddenly pulled back into the building and then into a massive bathroom. Kaito plopped onto the floor, hyperventilating. "Mr Kamui, why were you so set on my showing you here? I'm going to get killed later," Kaito sighed. "Pfft, nice to see you too," Gakupo chuckled. "I remember the first and only time we met. You were so attached to me, it was embarrassing," Gakupo laughed. Kaito pouted. "Oh come on, why the sour face?" Gakupo shrugged. "So why are we in the bathroom?" Gakupo then snapped back to reality. "If Leon saw me making casual conversation with you I would never hear the end of it!" Kaito groaned. "Why? What if I started the conversation?" Gakupo tried to find a loophole. "Yeah no. He would tell me it's my fault and that I'm in your way," Kaito sighed. "I must say, you've gotten older," Gakupo inspected the boy. "Excuse me? Of course, I have it's been 9 years," Kaito stared. Gakupo had gotten older too now that he noticed. His shoulders were broader, his face was chiselled, his hair longer and just a little darker... "Ah! So uh- Mr Kamui," Kaito started. "Just call me Gakupo please," Gakupo groaned. "No. Mr Kamui, how have you been?" Kaito asked. "Oh fine. Y'know, writing novels, my father telling me he's disappointed in me, the usual," Gakupo chuckled. "I bet being in the Kamui estate is so much more fun than in here," Kaito said without thinking. "haha what?" Gakupo smirked. "Ah! Oh god, please, I didn't mean that" Kaito suddenly realised. "Ms Hatsune has always been so good to me," Kaito tried to make it better. "Kaito, don't worry about it. There is someone here causing you hassle," Gakupo sat down next to Kaito on the bathroom floor. "You want to tell me about it?" Gakupo offered to listen to Kaitos's story. "Uh- alright," Kaito then explained the whole situation about Leon up to the point where he started referring to Kaito as his bitch. "Pfft haha!" Gakupo laughed very loud. "Hey, it's not funny!" Kaito defended. "Haha! I'm sorry, but he calls you his bitch!?" Gakupo laughed some more. "If I'm being honest, I don't really know what he means by it, I just assumed it was insulting," Kaito admitted. "Oh boy, it's worse than an insult," Gakupo smirked. "What does it mean?" Kaito asked.
"He wants to WHAT!?" Kaito exclaimed. "Yeah aha!" Gakupo was literally rolling around laughing. "That makes no sense! He doesn't like me in the slightest! He always tells me off, beats me up, harasses me..." Kaito trailed off. "Kaito, the dude is totally into you. Very, homosexually," Gakupo chuckled. "HUH!?" Kaito was once again shocked. "But he's so much older than me, I feel that feeling that way is illegal," Kaito pointed out. "Yeah, being homosexual is against the law," Gakupo agreed. "Oh, that's not what I meant. I was talking about the massive age gap," Kaito got chills. "What age are you?" Gakupo suddenly asked. "I'm 15," Kaito stated. "Damn... I don't really want to know but, how old is this guy?" Gakupo cringed. "Um... 43?" Kaito tried to remember. "Maybe we should ask before making assumptions about people," Gakupo chuckled nervously. "I'm sorry I assumed you were older. Although I don't know why I thought that, you look about 10," Gakupo shrugged. "Hmph. It's alright," Kaito relaxed a little. "Maybe I should leave, it's a bit weird that I'm hanging out with a kid," Gakupo stood up. "What!? I'm, not a kid! It's not weird!" Kaito exclaimed. "You want me to stay that bad huh?" Gakupo smirked. "I-I didn't mean it like that," Kaito frowned. "Whatever I have to get back to work," Kaito stood up and reached out for the door handle. Before he could grab it, Gakupo walked behind Kaito and wrapped his arms around him. Gakupo bent down and held his head next to Kaitos ear. Kaito could feel the man breathing down his neck. "Why are you leaving?" Gakupo whispered into Kaitos ear. "Ah!" Kaito jumped. "I'll see you soon Mr Kamui!" Kaito rushed out of the bathroom and back outside. "What an interesting reaction," Gakupo chuckled to himself.
"Mr Kamui, your son doesn't seem to be with us," Mayu pointed out. "Don't worry about him. Where is Fujita?" Gackt said frustrated. "I must warn you not to get too close to Ms Hatsune," Mayu warned. "Where is she?!" Gackt yelled. "S-sorry sir, right this way," Mayu opened two huge wooden doors which led to a bedroom that reeked of death. There was a massive bed in the left corner of the room, and none other than Fujita Hatsune lay in the bed. "Fujita!" Gackt ran over to the bed. "G-Gackt?" Fujita stuttered. "Yes, it's me," Gackt took both of Fujita's hands into his. "Gackt stop, what happens if you get the illness," Fujita pulled away from him. "Fujita I needed to see you," Gackt kneeled next to the bed. "Oh yeah? Whys - *cough* - that?" Fujita choked. "I still love you," Gackt looked at her with hopeful eyes. "Honestly, what will I - *cough* - do with you?" Fujita strained a giggle. "How have you been Gackt?" Fujita asked him sweetly. "Miserable without you Fujita," Gackt grabbed her hands again. "hehe, and how might we solve that?" Fujita smiled weekly. "Oh I have an - *cough* - idea," Fujita held Gackt's hands with her fragile ones. "How about maybe you and i..." Fujita trailed off. The suspense was killing Gackt. "Start... i dont know, seeing -*cought*- eachother again?" Fujita grinned. The smile on Gackt's face couldn't have been wider. "Fujita oh how I missed you," Gackt felt so warm and fuzzy which was a very unfamiliar feeling for him. "I love you Gackt," Fujita whispered.
"Why did I jump like that!?" Kaito groaned to himself. "Now he probably thinks I'm an idiot," Kaito sighed. "Kaito!" Yohio called out. "Yohio, how may I help?" Kaito gave a polite bow. "Jeez you're as proper as ever," Yohio groaned. "Ms Hatsune requests that you prepare afternoon tea and cake for her and her guest," Yohio explained. "Alright then. I shall prepare the tea at once," Kaito stood up to leave. "Kaito. I must address this. I can't keep it to myself anymore..." Yohio held Kaitos shoulders in a firm grip. "Why did you drag Mr Kamuis's son into the bathroom and lock it huh?" Yohio grinned. "Ah, you saw that!?" Kaito frowned. "Yup sure did," Yohio chuckled. "What was that all about?" Yohio asked again. "I swear we were just having a conversation. I needed to make sure Leon couldn't see us," Kaito explained. "Oh yeah I forgot how much Leon hates you," Yohio scratched his head. "Oh well, have fun making the tea," Yohio grinned before leaving the room.
"Man, honey tea smells amazing," Kaito smiled as he breathed the honey tea scent. "Doesn't it," A husky voice purred from behind Kaito. "L-Leon, what are you doing in the kitchen?" Kaito stammered. Leon hastily walked towards Kaito and grabbed his waist. "I'm just visiting my bitch," Leon whispered in Kaitos ear. "A-ah..." Kaito tried to escape the man's grip, but Leon didn't budge. "I need to bring the tea to Ms-" Kaito let out an extremely large gasp. Leon was holding Kaitos ass. "Mr Leon stop!" Kaito pushed Leon harder this time and managed to get away except straight after, Leon grabbed Kaitos jaw. "Don't push me around bitch. I'm dead serious I will make your life hell. Whos going to stop me? Your kind and loving parents? Oh wait, they can't. They left you on the street," Leon chuckled and left the kitchen. Tears started pouring down Kaitos face rapidly, but Kaito had a job to do and must get on with it. Kaito picked up the tray which had 2 teacups, a tea pitcher, appropriate silverware and plates, and a mini assortment of freshly made cakes. The tray made some racket when Kaitos trembling hands picked it up.

"It's getting dark, I'll walk the two of you home," Gakupo offered to the Kagamine twins. "Thank you, Mr Kamui, I will not be accompanying you though. I would appreciate it if you made sure my sister returned home safely," Len thanked. "Oh, and why won't you be joining?" Gakupo asked the boy. "Father kicked Len out and Len refuses to go home and apologise," Rin stated. "And why would Len need to apologise?" Gakupo smirked. "Because Len challenged father!" Rin yelled. "Len, how would you feel about staying over at mine until this blows over?" Gakupo offered. "Seriously?" Len grinned, excited. "Of course. The amount of times I wanted to run away from my father is ridiculous, so I understand how you feel," Gakupo smiled caringly. "My humblest thanks, Mr Kamui!" Len bowed enthusiastically. "How about we walk your sister home, then head over to my father's estate?" Gakupo suggested. "Sounds good," Len smiled. "I'll go say bye to Miku first," Len ran off to find his fiancee. "T-Thank you, Mr Kamui. I'm very thankful that you're taking him into your estate..." Rin mumbled. "Whys that?" Gakupo asked the suddenly quiet girl. "Because if I knew my brother didn't have anywhere to stay tonight, then I would be worried sick about him," Rin admitted. "You care about him, it's sweet," Gakupo smiled. "Ah- yeah. I'm going to prepare to leave," Rin quickly made her way to the front door. Gakupo chuckled as she ran away embarrassed.
As Gakupo descended the staircase, he saw Kaito carrying a tray coming up. As Gakupo started getting closer to Kaito, he started noticing that Kaito was trembling and had a tear-stained face. "Hey Kaito, you alright?" Gakupo asked as they passed each other. "Mhm," Kaito muttered in reply. "Hey," Gakupo stopped Kaito in his tracks. "What's up?" Gakupo said a little more seriously this time. "Nothing. I'm simply delivering this to Ms Hatsune and her guest." Kaito stared blankly. "Don't even. You still have tears streaming down your face," Gakupo smirked and wiped the stray tear that was rolling down his pale face. "Let me take that," Gakupo grabbed the tray off of Kaito. Without the sound of the tray rattling, it was silent. "Let's get this to Ms Hatsune," Gakupo walked off down a dimly lit hallway. "M-Mr Kamui it's over here," Kaito pointed to a different hall. "Let us be off then!" Gakupo smiled and hurried down the other corridor. Kaito chuckled lightly, but that didn't mean that Gakupo didn't hear the sound.
"Son, why are you serving us?" Gackt stared at his son who was holding a tray with different foods and drinks on it. "Oh dear, I'm sorry Gakupo," Fujita apologised. "Who made you bring this here?" Gackt stood up. "Father calm yourself. I'm just helping my friend," Gakupo turned around and saw Kaito with a face of shock. Gakupo then turned back around to face the adults and approached them both with the tray. "Kaito get in here," Fujita suddenly snapped. Both of the Kamui's stared at Fujita who had just yelled out. They felt it was very out of character for her. "Get down on the floor and apologise to our guest," Fujita ordered. Gakupo stared at Kaito who slowly emerged from behind the door. The blue-haired boy got down on his knees and pressed his forehead against the floor. "K-Kaito this isn't-" Gakupos's sentence was cut short by Kaito. "I'm very sorry I had you do my work for me. I promise that this will never happen again and I hope that you will forgive me!" Kaito announced to the room. The silence afterwards was deadly. Kaito was still on the floor, head down. Gakupo stared at his father, who simply shrugged back at his son. "Kaito you are dismissed," Fujita spoke sourly. Gakupo noticed the pain that Kaito felt with his master's harsh tone. "Thank you for your hospitality Ms Hatsune," Gakupo bowed quickly to his host before running towards Kaito, grabbing the boy's wrist, and getting out of that room. As soon as the door shut behind them, both of them stopped to take a breath."Kaito what the hell was that all about?" Yohio emerged from behind a dark corner, making Gakupos soul leave his body. Kaito didn't say a word, instead looked at the blonde with teary eyes. "Oh uh- Mr Kamui! It's a pleasure to meet you. I'm Yohio, a butler of the estate. Mr Kagamine has asked me to inform you that he is waiting with his sister at the front door," Yohio quickly put on a smile. "Nice to meet you Yohio," Gakupo smiled back, completely ignoring the fact that the Kagamines were waiting for him. "Do you know what happened?" Yohio asked Gakupo curiously. "Please forgive my curiosity Mr Kamui," Yohio apologised with a chuckle. "I was helping Kaito out as he seemed to be upset about something, but Ms Hatsune wasn't keen on me helping him out," Gakupo looked at Kaito who was still silent. "Kaito." Yohio lifted Kaitos face so that he was looking directly at him. Yohios usual, bubbly, charm was gone. "Did Leon do something again?" He asked him bluntly. Kaito opened his mouth to start talking but immediately closed it again. Gakupo caught on very quickly. "Is Leon the guy who-" Gakupo was shut up by both of Kaitos hands covering his mouth.
"Gossiping about me now, are we?" Leon snarled from behind Yohio. "Creepy dick," Yohio muttered to himself. "That's no way to speak to your superiors you unsophisticated prick," Leon grabbed Yohios arm and flung him across the hallway. "Mr Kamui. I'm going to take you to Mr and Miss Kagamine now," Leon, not so offered but stated. "R-right," Gakupo stuttered. Leon started by leading the way, without acknowledging Kaito's presence once. Gakupo and Kaito made brief eye contact before Gakupo was out of sight. Kaito, snapping back to reality, ran over and kneeled beside Yohio. "Yoh!? Are you alright?!" Kaito asked frantically. Yohio sat up against the wall, clutching the arm that Leon threw him by, and chuckled a little. "You haven't referred to me as 'Yoh' since you were little," Yohio smiled. "Sorry," Kaito apologised. "You are ridiculous Kaito," Yohio sighed. "P-pardon?" Kaito stared. "Never mind that. You never answered my question from before," Yohio stated. Kaito knew he couldn't get out of it this time. Kaito sat closely next to Yohio, in the almost pitch-black hallway, and whispered in his ear. "Leon has started harassing me... sexually," Kaito finished and pulled back. Yohio immediately sprung up from the shock. "You're kidding..." Yohio grabbed Kaitos shoulders. Kaito shook his head. "Holy shit..." Yohio muttered. "Has young Kaito been telling tales to you Mr Yohio?" Leon suddenly placed a hand on Yohio's shoulder. "You piece of crap," Yohio faced him. Kaito shot up and pulled Yohio out of Leon's face. "I'm going to go and speak to Ms Hatsune about this," Yohio grunted. "Yohio please don't," Kaito begged. "Listen to him Yohio. I wouldn't recommend you say a word to her," Leon chimed in devilishly. The three could hear footsteps approaching them, so they all stood silently. It was Luka. "Why are you three just standing around? Get back to work," Luka ordered. Yohio and Kaito answered with an apology and immediately ran off, while Leon said nothing. "Mr Leon," Luka started. "I'll be on my way," Leon growled at the woman. Luka stared at Leon, hatred filling her head. Only one thought ran through her mind. 'Something has to be done about him'.
"How long do you think this will go on for?" Gakupo asked the twins as they walked home. The sun had completely set, the only light source being the lantern Gakupo had borrowed from Mayu at the Hatsune estate. "Depends on whether Len decides to apologise," Rin crossed her arms. "Apologise for what? Wanting to see my fiancee?" Len retorted. Gakupo sighed and chuckled at their childish behaviour. "Well, Mr Kagamine, you're welcome to stay as long as you want," Gakupo smiled. "Thank you again for your kindness Mr Kamui," Len chirped. "Don't mention it," Gakupo chuckled. "I'll just leave you guys here, the Kamui state is just ahead, no?" Rin walked ahead of the two and stopped. "How come? We can walk you to the door," Gakupo offered. "No need for you to go even more out of your way for us," Rin smiled and skipped away into the pitch black. "Will she be okay on her own?" Gakupo asked the other twin. "She's the most capable out of the two of us, she should be fine," Len giggled. "If you say so," Gakupo shrugged and started walking down the pathway that would eventually lead to the Kamui estate. Len followed closely behind.
"Ms Hatsune, I'm here to inform Mr Kamui that his son has left for home with the Kagamine twins," Mayu entered the bedroom. Gackt sat on a wooden chair next to the big bed where Fujita lay. "Gosh, what's the time?" Gackt asked the maid. "It's eight thirty PM, sir," Mayu answered. "My, where did the time go?" Gackt chuckled and looked down at Fujita. She looked so sickly, fragile. It hurt whenever Gackt looked at her, then remembered how lively and strong she used to be. Time is cruel. "I'm really glad I got to see you, Fujita," Gackt smiled at the woman. She was the only woman that Gackt would ever love. Her shiny smile, her glossy hair, her soft skin, her sparkling blue eyes. Gackt loved everything about her. Without hesitation, Gackt knelt on one knee, and planted a kiss on his girlfriend's forehead. "G-Gackt!" Fujita shrieked. "The illness!" She stared into her partner's eyes. "I don't care about some illness. I love you, Fujita." Gackt stated and cupped the woman's face with his hands. Fujita started crying, happy tears. "I- I love you too Gackt," Fujita smiled through the tears. "I'll be back tomorrow," Gackt waved to her. "Bye- *cough* bye," Fujita waved back.

Chapter Text
"GUMI! TELEPHONE THE HOSPITAL NOW!" Luka screeched so that she could be heard. The shouting arose curiosity from the residents of the estate. When things like disturbances in the night occur, everyone gathers in the entrance hall. "W-whats going on?" Miku shivered from the cold. "Miku, I think you should follow me," Mayu gently took Mikus's hand and ascended the stairs. By this point, everyone had caught on to what was happening. They were losing Fujita. "Ms Hatsune, please oh please hang in there," Luka begged at her master's bedside. Fujita was coughing violently and would often even cough up blood. "MOTHER!" Miku burst into the bedroom. The crying was uncontrollable. "Miku," Fujita strained. "MOTHER PLEASE DON'T DO THIS!" Miku screeched. The servants could hear the begging from the main entrance. Kaito noticed that IA was trembling and silently sobbing. Feeling the same way, he wrapped his arms around her and cried. IA was quick in returning the embrace, but with it, her silent sobs turned loud and aggressive. Fujita had raised almost all of the people in the household, so they all had some sort of emotional attachment to her. "We can't just stand here!" Merli exclaimed. Everyone exchanged worried looks. "I'm sure Fujita wouldn't mind," Al muttered. Everyone slowly started to move towards the staircase and into the bedroom. The group of 6 entered the bedroom. "Hey- *cough cough* you lot, *cough*" Fujita forced a smile. In the bedroom already were Miku, Luka, Gumi and Mayu. The whole household was in one bedroom. "Ms Hatsune, thank you so much, for everything," IA bawled. She grabbed Kaitos hand for support and she lifted herself off of the ground. "W-We all, feel- the-the same," Merli started tearing up. Yohio rubbed comforting circles on her back. There was suddenly some aggressive knocking on the estate door. "I'll get it," Al announced before sprinting as fast as he could to the door. Miku was sobbing while yelling 'mother' over and over again. "Miku, dear, listen to me," Fujita started. "Once I *cough* pass *cough* you will be the *cough* master of the *cough* estate," Fujita explained. Miku realising that her mother's passing was inevitable, took her mother's hand and listened closely. "Keep *cough* Len by your side," Fujita smiled. "Of course," Miku agreed, tears still falling.
The situation was starting to make Kaito feel faint, so he decided to leave the bedroom and make his way to the bathroom. He splashed his face with some cold water and steadied his breathing. In and out. In and out. What Kaito didn't expect was to see the reflection of someone in the mirror. Kaito spun around quicker than light and saw none other than Leon standing there behind him. "Why did my bitch run off?" Leon mocked. "What do you want?" Kaito grumbled. He was certainly not in the mood to be dealing with Leon. "I'm here to discuss something quite heartwarming with you," Leon walked closer to Kaito. "You want to have a heartwarming conversation with me while our master is dying!?" Kaito yelled. Leon slowly came closer and closer to Kaito until he was so close that their noses were almost touching. Leon brought a finger up and held it to Kaitos mouth. "Watch it," Leon hissed. He brought his finger down and took one or two steps backwards. "Ms Hatsune wrote a will," Leon began. "What the hell is wrong with you?!" Kaito yelled again. "Shut the fuck up I'm talking!" Leon snapped. "I helped make some decisions on the will," Leon smirked. Kaito felt a wave of dread rush through his body. "Miku is to take over the estate," Leon stated. "Duh," Kaito muttered. "Kaito I swear to fuck if you don't close your goddamn mouth..." Leon took a breath to calm down. "You're underage, correct?" Leon got his smugness back again. Kaito said nothing. "I think you can guess where I'm going with this," Leon grinned devilishly. "N-no..." Kaito grabbed onto the sink with his hands. "I basically own you once she dies," Leon chuckled. "You're a psychopath," Kaito mumbled. "I'm a what? " Leon stepped forward and grabbed Kaitos hips. He untucked Kaitos shirt and slipped his whole hand underneath the material. Kaito took a sharp inhale when his cold hand touched his body. "Think before you speak," Leon said before slapping Kaito straight across the face with his free hand. Kaito pulled away and backed up into a wall. He cupped his cheek (where Leon slapped him) in pain. He then kneeled on his knees and cried. Leon watched with keen eyes. "Gakupo..." Kaito suddenly said. "Excuse me?" Leon used his thumb and forefinger to lift up Kaitos chin. "I UH- I meant that we should phone Mr Gackt!" Kaito sprang up and ran for the telephone in the hallway. Leon decided to just let him leave.
"Pick up pick up pick up" Kaito muttered as he telephoned the Kamui estate. "You have reached the Kamui estate, how may I assist you?" A woman spoke through the phone. "Hello, this is a butler from the Hatsune estate. We opt that Gackt Kamui and Gakupo Kamui make their way over here immediately," Kaito spoke. He then realised what he said. He asked for Gakupo to come over too. Doesn't matter. "May I ask what this is about?" The woman asked. "U-Uhm... Fujita Hatsune..." Kaito mumbled. "Who is this?" The woman seemed to be losing patience. "My apologies ma'am! My name is Kaito I'm a butler of Ms Hatsunes," Kaito blurted. "Oh, Kaito?" The woman then said. "Uh- yeah," Kaito replied. "In that case, I will let Master Gackt and Young Master Gakupo be on their way over," The woman's tone sounded happier. "Thanks a lot," Kaito felt relieved. "No problem Kaito," The woman hung up the telephone. 'Does she know me?' Kaito wondered. Pushing that question to the back of his mind, Kaito made his way back across the hallway and back into Ms Hatsune's crowded bedroom.
"Who was that?" Miriam stared at Lily. "It was Kaito from the Hatsune estate requesting that Master Gackt and his son head there immediately," Lily replied. "You don't think..." Miriam began. "Probably," Lily frowned. "What else could be so urgent that they would telephone the estate at 3 am?" Lily justified her point. Miriam nodded with a sigh. "I'll inform the master," Miriam ran off to Gackt's room. Lily made her way to Gakupo's room to awaken him too. "Cant we visit in the morning?" Gakupo groaned. "You were requested by name, you need to show," Lily explained. "Who was the caller?" Gakupo asked even though he was sure he knew who. "It was Kaito," Lily replied. With a smirk on his face, Gakupo arose from bed and walked to his clothes cupboard. "I'll be down in two minutes," Gakupo said to Lily. The blonde silently left the man's room. "Requested by name huh?" Gakupo chuckled. "WHAT!?" Gackt yelled. "Sir please just prepare to leave soon," Miriam spoke softly which heavily contrasted Gackt's reaction. Gackt rushed out of bed, shoved on yesterday's clothes and left his bedroom in a matter of seconds, pulling Miriam out behind him. "The- uh- Kiyoteru is ready at the front door with the car," Miriam said to Gackt. "Oh Gakupo was requested to go as well," Miriam added. "If he's not ready, he's not going," Gackt sprinted for the door. Sure enough, there Gakupo was, waiting at the door. "Get in the car,".
"Mr Kamui is on his way," Kaito informed Fujita as he re-entered the bedroom. "*cough cough* he'd better *cough* hurry up *cough*" Fujita smiled weakly. The doctors who Al had brought up to the room were working their magic to help relieve some of the pain Fujita was experiencing. Miku sat next to her mother, never taking her eyes off her and never letting her hand go. "Mother everything's going to be just alright," Miku forced a smile through the streaming tears. Miku was forced to lie to herself. Her gut knew that the death of her mother was inevitable, but Miku couldn't let go of the little hope she had. "Doctor, how long do you think she has?" Gumi asked the question they were all wondering. "I'd predict that she has a couple of hours," The doctor faced Gumi. "I regret to inform you all that Ms Hatsune will live until approximately 6 am," The doctor announced. Inaudible whispers could be heard throughout the room. Kaito said nothing and stood, staring at Fujita silently. She saved his life, yet he could do nothing when she was dying right in front of him. Kaito groaned when Leon re-entered the room. Fujita noticed this and sat up in her bed. "Could everyone leave my room for a minute? I would *cough cough* like to have a *cough cough* a word with Kaito," Fujita ordered. Everybody obeyed and left the bedroom. Apart from Miku of course, who wouldn't dare leave her mother's side. "Whats *cough cough* going on between *cough* you and Leon?" Fujita asked him. Miku stared at Kaito. "N-nothing why do you ask...?" Kaito lied. "Listen, I'm sorry about last night *cough*, I was *cough cough* I was being harsh," Fujita apologised. It wasn't unusual. Everyone had moments when they would snap like that. Kaito completely understood that. Kaito looked towards the door to make sure Leon had definitely left the room. Once he confirmed this, he got closer to Miku and her mother. "Leon... harasses me..." Kaito told her. Fujita's eyes widened. "Kaito *cough cough* why didn't you *cough* say anything *cough*?" Fujita asked sternly. Kaito just shrugged. "I'm going out to speak to him," Miku stood up. "Miss Miku please don't..." Kaito begged her. "Okay then, let me ask a question," Miku began. "How does he harass you?" Miku interrogated. Kaito shifted uncomfortably. "Mother I'm going out to speak to him," Miku stated before slamming the bedroom door behind her.
Fujita looked up to Kaito, who had tears streaming down his face. "Kaito, dear," Fujita tried to comfort him. "Leon told me about your will..." Kaito kneeled to eye level with Fujita. "I know I'm in no position to tell you what to do, but please change it..." Kaito sniffled. Fujita stared at him, feeling guilty. "Alright," Fujita pulled a piece of paper out of her nightgown pocket. "Could you get me a quill and ink please," Fujita asked. Kaito searched the room for a quill and ink and when he finally found one, he grabbed it quickly and set the ink on Fujita's nightstand and gave her the quill. "Could you get Miku back in he- *cough cough* here please," Fujita asked. Kaito nodded and left the room. Everyone had returned to the main entrance, as to give Kaito and Fujita some privacy in their conversation. "Miss Hatsune, Master would like you back up," Kaito tapped her on the shoulder. She had been talking to Merli and Al. "D-did anything happen to her!?" Miku panicked. "N-no she's fine," Kaito calmed her. They both made haste with returning to Fujita's room. "I spoke to Leon," Miku started. Kaito took a sharp breath. "He told me that you two barely talk." Miku gave Kaito the side eye. "He then told me to ask Luka about it," Miku stopped and held Kaito in place. "She told me that she has never seen you two anywhere near each other," Miku spoke. Kaito was shocked. Why did Luka lie? Had he done something to upset the head maid? "But rest easy," Miku started again. "I know that they are lying," she smiled at the blue-haired boy. Kaito felt a wave of relief wash over him. "Earlier, I saw Leon drag you out of the house, and I saw Luka watching you," Miku placed a hand on his shoulder. "I'll find out why they're lying, I swear," Miku smiled sweetly.

Chapter Text
"Father, calm down!" Gakupo raised his voice at Gackt who was violently banging on the large wooden doors of the Hatsune estate. The clicking of locks could be heard through the other side of the door, presumably a servant unlocking the doors to let the Kamui's in. "I-Im sorr-" IA answered the door and proceeded to apologise, only for Gackt to completely dismiss her and run right to Fujita's room. Gakupo watched his father ignore the maid, angered at the way he was treating people. "I'm really sorry about him..." Gakupo apologised to IA. She shook her head a smiled sweetly. "I'm glad he could make it here to see her," IA said before walking off into the crowd of servants.
As Gackt made his way up the staircase, he noticed Fujitas daughter, Miku, talking to a butler. "Miku, dear, how are you holding up?" Gackt's violent and rude behaviour vanished. "O-oh... Mr Kamui..." Miku muttered. "I-I" Miku began. She looked at Kaito for a second before leaning her head on his shoulder and bursting out into tears. Kaito looked at Mr Kamui as if to say he should just head in. Gackt understood this and proceeded into the bedroom. "G-*cough cough* Gackt?" Fujita groaned. Her condition seemed to be getting worse by the second. "Fujita, stay with me!" Gackt ran to his partner and grasped her hand. "*cough cough* d-dont worr-*cough* worry Gack- *cough cough* Gackt," Fujita muttered out. She was now having difficulty. Gackt's heart shattered at the sight. "Gackt... *cough*" Fujita smiled at him. "Fujita, please don't force yourself to speak," Gackt stroked her hair. She nodded and leaned backwards in her bed. Gackt then noticed a piece of paper and a quill on Fujita's bed. He felt a sharp pain in his heart, guessing what was written on the paper, but decided not to say anything to Fujita.
"Sorry *sniff* about that Kaito," Miku composed herself slightly. Kaito said nothing. To Miku's surprise, Kaito lunged forward and brung Miku into a hug. Miku had to look down slightly to see the boy's blue head and his arms wrapped around her. She giggled with tears in her eyes and hugged him back. "Ms Hatsune wanted to see you, so you should probably head in too," Kaito broke the embrace. Miku nodded before swiftly turning away and entering the bedroom. Now Kaito was alone. In a dimly lit hallway. He could hear the distant chattering of others. The person who looked after him all these years was... leaving. Kaitos blue eyes widened and his knees felt weak. He kept muttering 'no' to himself while grabbing his hair with his shaking hands. He stumbled onto the floor, his back against the wall. He then went completely still and silent. His arms dropped, the muttering stopped. And his eyes, they slowly closed. "Kaito!" A voice yelled out. Kaito jumped awake to see Gakupo, leaning over him. Kaito thought he looked amazing in that moment. Like an angel. He loved the way his purple hair framed his pale face, and the way his matching purple eyes very subtly shined in the dark. "Kaito?" Gakupo waved his hand over the boy's blank face. "A-aha," Kaito chuckled. "What happened?" Gakupo offered a hand to help Kaito up. Once the boy had regained his balance, he looked at Gakupo for a second. "Nothing," Kaito smiled. "Really," Gakupo smirked and held Kaitos face in his hand. "I-uh- yeah" Kaito grinned uncomfortably. " So you were curled up on the floor like that, for no reason?" Gakupo slid his thumb over Kaitos soft, pink lips. "Mhm..." Kaito shuffled a little. "Alright." Gakupo suddenly broke all contact with Kaito. The boy looked a little shocked that he left him so suddenly. "What? Do you want me to touch you more?" Gakupo stared at him with devilish eyes. "NO! *ahem* I mean, no thanks," Kaito fidgeted with his fingers, trying not to make any eye contact with the older man. "You should head back downstairs," Gakupo waved as he walked into Fujiats bedroom. As soon as Gakupo had gone, Kaito gave a big exhale. What was it about that man that made Kaito feel so... nervous?
"Leon!" Gumi yelled out. All other conversations went null and all attention was on the green-haired maid. "You are a sick bastard," Gumi muttered so that only she and Leon could hear. Leon didn't get angry. He only smirked at Gumi knowing that he had gotten his way. Suddenly, a woman's figure burst through the door. "Excuse me you cannot just-" Luka had begun yelling, but once she recognised the woman, she backed off. The woman ignored all of the servants and made her way up to Fujita's bedroom. After the woman had entered, a younger woman ran into the building from behind her. "I'm so sorry about my mother everyone," The younger woman apologised. "Mei-chan?" Luka exclaimed. "Luka!" Meiko smiled. "How have you been?" Luka smiled. "Alright, I guess," Meiko stood closer to Luka. "Seems like I've gotten taller than you," Meiko smirked. When it came to the Hatsune estate, she was always causing mischief with the workers. "Just go and get that mother of yours under control," Luka grinned angrily. Meiko smiled devilishly at Luka before skipping up the stairs.
It was now 5 am. By what the doctors said, Fujita would be passing in about an hour. The thought couldn't leave Kaitos head. Could he really survive without his caring and loving master? And about the will. Had she changed it? Kaito began walking down the hall and took his first step down the stairs when suddenly he was grabbed by someone from behind the wall. "You snitching on me to Miss Miku now huh?" Leon held Kaito tight by his waist, their faces mere inches away from each other. "Leon let me go!" Kaito struggled against Leon's grasp, but it was no use. As he had learned from before, Leon was way stronger than he was. "No, no. Now Miss Miku must think I'm some sort of old nasty man... which I am not!" Leon tightened his grip around Kaito which made the younger boy wince. "My family have served the Hatsune's for hundreds of years! I cannot have Miss Miku simply cast me aside..." Leon muttered, his grip tightening without him realising. "L-Leon!" Kaito gasped for air. A couple more minutes of Leon's muttering passed, and with each minute, the grip around Kaito got tighter. "Hello there," A voice said from behind Kaito. Leon looked up at the man in shock. Kaito could recognize that voice from anywhere. It was Gakupo. Leon threw Kaito down onto the ground and tried to act as though he wasn't just holding the boy. "How may I help you, Mr Kamui," Leon smiled like nothing happened. "Leave" Gakupo ordered. Leon nodded, a little angrily, but left nonetheless. Kaito was on the ground, clutching his stomach in pain. "Kaito you alright?" Gakupo kneeled down beside the boy. "Y-yeah," Kaito tried to sit up, but ended up just groaning out in pain. "Ugh this is ridiculous," Gakupo rolled his eyes. Kaito got a little angry at his response. He was clearly in pain and all Gakupo could think about was how stupid this is. "I-" Kaito tried to argue but before he could continue, Gakupo swept him up in his arms and held onto him, bridal style.

Chapter Text
"Mr Kamui! W-what are you doing!?" Kaito yelled out as he was carried down the hallway by the older male. He said nothing and continued down the hall. "Gakupo!" Kaito yelled out again. This time, the man let out a chuckle. "Are we officially on a first-name basis now?" Gakupo smirked. He lowered Kaito onto his feet and took a couple of steps back. "Don't mock me," Kaito pouted. Kaito's huffy face made Gakupos heart flutter with excitement. "Gakupo..." Kaito began. Gakupo put on a focused face to show he was listening. "Do you think it will be another 9 years until we see each other again?" Kaito asked with his head down and face flustered. "That depends." The older man took a step closer to Kaito. "Depends on what?" Kaito asked bluntly. Gakupo chuckled at Kaito's naivety. "You're cute when you're acting stupid," Gakupo ruffled his fluffy blue hair. "Excuse me!?" Kaito yelled out offendedly.
NOTE - Referring to Meiko's Mother as Mrs Haigo (or sometimes just Haigo)
"MOTHER!" Miku screamed at the top of her lungs. Everyone gathered at the entrance could hear the girls deafening cries and hated to imagine what was happening. "Should we... go up?" Yohio muttered quietly to Gumi next to him. "I'm not sure..." Gumi responded, also quietly. "Where on earth is he?" Luka groaned to Mayu. "Send someone to look for him," Mayu suggested. Luka nodded and looked Yohio dead in the eyes. "Go upstairs and look for Kaito. And do not enter Ms Hatsune's bedroom no matter what," Luka ordered. Yohio nodded and set off upstairs to look for the boy. "Where the hell should I even look?" Yohio muttered to himself, so he was certainly surprised when a voice replied. "Don't trust Gackt's son," Leon whispered into Yohios ear as they walked by each other in the extremely dark hallway. "What the fuck?!" Yohio's soul almost left his body. When he turned to try and catch a glimpse of the man, he had already gone. "Dont trust Gackts son?" Yohio repeated to himself a couple of seconds after. He had once again, said this to himself, so was surprised, once again, when a voice spoke up. "Whys that?".
"Mother you're being so rude to everyone!" Meiko exclaimed as the pair made their way to Fujita's room. "Sorry hun, I'm in a rush right now. Go and find someone else to pester," Mrs Haigo brushed her daughter off. Meiko groaned with frustration at her mother's ignorant behaviour, but listened to her anyway and set off to find someone else to annoy. As she was wandering around the building, with no idea where she was going as this was her first time there, Meiko noticed someone outside. They were in the garden and had a torch shining into one of the windows on the lower floor of the estate. This mysterious creep piqued Meiko's interest, so she ran back downstairs and tried to find a back exit so she could investigate.
"Whys that?" Gakupo smirked as he was leaning against Yohio in the highly dark hallway. "A-AHH M-Mr Kamui!" Yohio exclaimed. "Yes?" Gakupo leaned away from Yohio and stood straight up. "You- uh- gave me a fright there," Yohio took a second to catch his breath. "Oh, I did? Sorry about that," Gakupo chuckled, in a slightly threatening demeanour. "Now tell me, what's so untrustworthy about Gackt's son?" Gakupo folded his arms. "No, no!" Yohio waved his hands around frantically. "One of the other butlers here, Leon, he whispered that into my ear," Yohio defended himself. "I see," Gakupo laid off Yohio a little. "Alright then, I apologise for being... rude," Gakupo smirked then turned around to walk away. "Wait!" Yohio stopped him in his tracks. "Have you seen Kaito anywhere?" Yohio asked as the two seemed particularly close. Gakupo took a minute to think about the question he was just asked. "Mmm, can't say I have, sorry Yohio," Gakupo chuckled mischievously and walked into the darkness of the hallway. Yohio groaned out in frustration.

Chapter Text
"Meiko why did *cough cough* you come here?" Fujita smiled at her friend. Mrs Haigo replied at her friend with a confident 'hmph'. As Fujita looked around the room, she saw most of her beloved people. Her daughter, her best friend, her boyfriend. She couldnt have asked for a better group of people to be by her side. Suddenly, at everyones surprise, tears started pouring from Fujitas eyes. "M-mother whats wrong!?" Miku exclaimed, jumping up from her stool. "Fuji?" Meiko muttered. "Fujita are you alright?!" Gackt took both of Fujitas hands into his own. "Thank you. All three of you. You all mean the world to me," Fujita sobbed. Miku joined in with the crying, kneeling down to her mothers beside. The dreaded time had finally come. From out in the hall, the grandfather clock could be heard. Bong. Bong. Bong. Bong. Everyone held their breath. The room was deadly silent. Bong. "M-mother?" Miku spoke up first. "*cough cough* dont think *sniff* I would *cough* die right on *cough* 6am" Fujita muttered with a forced chuckle. The room stayed deadly silent.
"Meiko-chan?" Luka muttered as she saw Meiko running through the building and towards the backdoor. "Is something the matter?" Gumi asked the distant looking Luka. "Ah-aha no its nothing," Luka waved her hands frantically. "Do you see that though..." Mayu suddenly said and pointed to the doctors. "Oh..." Gumi sighed. The doctors were taking things out of black bags and making their way upstairs. "How do you think Miss Miku is coping..." Luka frowned. Gumi put an arm around Lukas shoulder to comfort her and said nothing.
Meiko ran through the house, straight to the back door. "Damn, its too dark," She mumbled while trying to look for a candle or torch. By chance, there was a used candle right next to the backdoor with matches sat next to it. Meiko picked up the matchbox and scraped a match along it until it lit up. She carefully lit the candle which filled the large room with a little bit of light. After obtaining a light source, she opened the door which revealed a missive garden, which seemed to go on for at least 200 yards. "Hello!? Is anyone there!?" Meiko yelled into the darkness. It was silent, until suddenly Meiko heard rustling in some of the bushes. Next, she heard the sound of glass shattering then someone muttering to themselves. "I know someone is there!" Meiko yelled. 'They must have dropped their light' Meiko smirked. She took this opportunity to approach the creep in the bushes. "Freeze!" She yelled and shone her light on the shrubbery. Meiko pulled back some branched to reveal a young adult sitting on the ground next to a pile of shattered glass. "Who are you creep!"
Gakupo returned to the dark room where he had left his little butler friend. "Miss m-" Gakupo ran over to Kaito. He was leaned against the bedframe, crying... "Kaito... what's wrong...?" Gakupo quietly asked. "You *sniff* need to stop doing that," Kaito looked up at Gakupo with a smile on his tear stained face. Gakupo then realised his mistake. "Sorry," He sat down next to him. "Y'know, people are looking for you," Gakupo informed the teen. "I dont care. I want to be alone..." Kaito sighed. Gakupo took that as a hint, so stood up and began walking out. "Wait!" Kaito sat up. His yell making Gakupo turn around to face him. "Yeah?" Gakupo asked. "Alone... with you..." Kaito muttered quietly. A smile spread across Gakupos face. He sat back down on the bed next to Kaito and they began talking. Nothing interesting, just a casual conversation.
"Meiko (Mrs Haigo), youre my best friend. Thank you for being her," Fujita looked up at the woman. Mrs Haigo gave a cheeky grin. "And thank you Ms Hatsune, for being mine," She replied, tears threatening to crawl from her eyes. "Gackt. You who *cough cough* saved me from *cough* depression once *cough* once Masahi passed. I *cough cough cough*... I love you Gackt," Fujita smiled, tears now rolling down her face. "A-and Miku, my *cough cough* my princess. My worl- *cough* world. Youre *cough* my everything Miku... *cough cough*." Miku jumped into her mothers arms and refused to let go. "M-miku" Fujita's voice got faint. Quiet. "be...-come a happy... happy woman Miku. I-I know that you can... I love you Miku,"
"MOTHER!" Miku sobbed. The doctors rushed to Fujita's side. "MOTHER MOTHER PLEASE NO!" Miku screamed. Louder than before. Sadder than before. She was heartbroken.
Kaito's breath hitched. Himself and Gakupo could hear Miku's screams. Kaito looked to Gakupo with tears. "She-" Gakupo stopped Kaito from saying anything and pulled him into a warm hug.
