Ginny had dragged her there, promising cake. Luna hadn't been interested in the cake, but in the fact she knew Sirius was going to be there, pretending he wasn't interested in the cake, that Harry had dragged him for the same reason. It was just another ministry ball where they would eat cake, dance together, go home together, and lie about it later on. No one needed to know Luna liked Sirius, or that he liked her in return. Sometimes, they'd pretend it really was all about the sugary cake which the ministry spared no expense for, not each other.
