Chapter 2: The Start
Notes:
so: y/n, or reader, off the bat will be extremely affectionate. especially with people she is close to (like izuku right now, and bakugo a little later.) but! she knows not to go too far and at least asks first.
y/n in this fic is shy, and nice but also is protective over izuku and can be very intimidating.

Chapter Text
The skies outside were bright blue, where wispy, white clouds trailed along the sky. The sun seemed to filter through the [f/c] curtains, drifting across the room until landing on the bed. The covers, decorated with small devils, completely covered the sleeping soul beneath. Their long, fluffy tail curled along the bed and fell to the side of the bed, moving slowly from side-to-side. Loud snores could be heard from beneath. The covers even seemed to rise from each snore.
Beside the bed was a small wooden table. On it was an electric alarm clock, which blinked brightly with the time. It currently read: 7:09am. Just a minute until she would have to force herself to leave the comfort of her bed. The alarm let out an annoying ring until an arm escaped from the covers and slammed down, shutting it up completely. She let out a groan, and rolled to the side, tumbling out of the bed.
A pained groan erupted from her throat as she landed face first. Her horns had pierced through the pillow which fell beside her; she shook off the cover and blinked her eyes, feeing something soft on her horns. Furrowing her eyebrows, she rose her hand and patted her horns, feeling the softness of the pillows. This had been the third time this week! [Y/N] removed it from her horns-ignoring the feathers falling out everywhere- and threw it to the side, where a mountain of pierced pillows lay.
"I will...deal with them later," [Y/N] murmured to herself. Her horns were rather sharp. If she wasn't careful she could pierce someone with them. Huh, secret weapon. Perfect for stabbing (11/10 recommend.) She picked herself up off of the floor and got dressed in her school uniform, placing on a pair of shorts underneath, and picked up her bag and phone and looked at her messages. There was a few from Rumi and Izuku.
Rumi, or her hero name which was Mirko, was a family friend. Rumi was much like an auntie to [Y/N], and [Y/N] was glad to see there were more female heroes starting to rise in the ranks. Hopefully, before long, (no offence to All Might as he was a good hero), her mother would rise even further and become Number 1. She deserved it for everything she did, and Endeavor seemed to steal her saves, and fights, when she overused her quirk and poisoned her own blood.
It was dangerous to have a quirk associated with your own blood, or even someone else's. Which is why Ayuna had told her only to use her Remnant quirk if necessary. It was a powerful quirk, for sure, but dangerous for the user. Shaking that thought from her mind, she opened up her messages with Rumi and then Izuku.
Bunny Senpai
Hey, it's been a while honey bun
I was wondering whether you and Ayuna would like to
come for a meal with me sometime?
Devil Darling
hi rumi-san!
I will have to ask my ma but
i'm sure she misses you :)
Bunny Senpai
i miss her too honey bun!
we will have to celebrate when you
get through to u.a
Devil Darling
but we don't know thattttt
but thank you rumi-san :')
It was always nice talking to Rumi. The woman seemed to give her so much confidence in herself, along with her mother. They both helped her to feel better about herself and both helped her with her quirk. Rumi had always helped the teen with the strength aspect of her quirk, using it as both an advantage and trying to control it. [Y/N] started to head downstairs, her finger trailing along the screen. She pressed on her messages with Izuku.
My Bean <3
[Y/N]-chan, are we still meeting at 8?
Cutie
of course we are, izu!
please call me [Y/N] or [N/N]. :)

"What are you smiling at?" Ayuna smirked down at her daughter as [Y/N] sat down at the table. She was holding a spatula in her hand, which dripped with grease from the extreme amount of eggs and sausages in the pan. Ayuna had [h/c] hair, with [e/c] eyes with her hair up to her shoulders. She had various scars along her arms and body (from having to use her quirk). She was quite a tall woman, with an hour glass figure. She was wearing an apron around her waist, along with some trousers and a simple shirt.
[Y/N] slid her phone onto the table, and scratched her cheek. A slight blush appeared across her cheeks. Ayuna started to laugh and turned back around to move around the sausages in the pan. "Talking to Midoriya? You two are cute, you know that?"
"Yes, I was talking with Izuku," [Y/N] smiled, taking a glance at the plate filled with eggs, sausages and bacon. It was a highly stacked plate. "We were just talking about meeting up to walk to school together."
Ayuna hummed. She used the spatula to slide the eggs and sausages on her own plate, before sliding some of them from the pan onto [Y/N]'s. Due to her quirk, [Y/N] needed to eat quite a lot in order to sustain it. If she didn't, she was in danger of going out of control and becoming ravenous for something...of sustenance. "You always walk with Midoriya."
A frown spread across her face as she sat down beside her daughter. Ayuna took her fork and knife into her hands ([Y/N] now started to eat as well} to slice open a sausage. She stabbed through the meat and placed it in her mouth. "I won't be home tonight. At least, I will be really late, [Y/N]. I have a meeting, then I have to go on watch. There has been sightings of a sludge villain around, so please be careful."
[Y/N] finished off the rest of her breakfast. Ayuna sliced another of the sausages before planting it into her mouth. She got up, stacking the plates together before placing them in the sink. Ayuna grabbed two bento boxes, and some red pills in a plastic container and placed them in front of [Y/N]. The teen stared at them for a moment. Ayuna rolled up her sleeves, and caught [Y/N] glaring at the boxes and pills.
Ayuna huffed, crossing her arms against her chest. "[Y/N]. You know you have to take those pills, as do I. It's so you can make more blood and bone marrow so it is less dangerous for your quirk Remnant. And if you don't get enough to eat, you are unable to control yourself. There is nothing wrong with it. Has anyone been saying anything? Do I need to kick a fifteen-year-old's arse? 'Cause I will."
She knew she would. It was most of her classmates. Not even Katsuki said anything, which was a surprise (didn't stop her from intervening when he picked on Izuku.) Izuku had always been kind and had merely asked questions about it and pierced together how it was related to her quirk. Plus, her mother's cooking was amazing.
"I'm fine, ma," [Y/N] quietly said. She stuffed the bento boxes into her backpack, before opening the pill bottle. She took two and swallowed them, before sliding them into her bag. Four a day. She stood up and slid her backpack onto her bag. Ayuna placed a kiss to her forehead. "And I will make sure we are fine, you can count on me."
"Have fun at school!"
"I will!" [Y/N] ran out the door with her phone in her hand. It didn't take her long to get to Izuku, who was simply waiting down the street. He was scrolling down his phone so he yelped when [Y/N] wrapped her arms around his waist. She nuzzled her head into his back, flustering the boy who quickly put away his phone (he had been staring at their conversation for a while. Especially at that damn heart. It flustered him more to think about it) and caught her.
His hands hovered over her waist. His eyes seemed to widen, his cheeks flushed. He could feel the heat rising across her cheeks. [Y/N]'s laughter was like music to his ears; it was sweet, and loud. She barely laughed unless she was with him. "Sorry, Izu! Did I scare you?"
"Y-Yes! I could have d-dropped you!" He whined, as she continued to laugh. He dropped his hands to rest around her waist whilst she looked up at him with a mischievous smile across her face. "It's...n-nice to see you so happy."
"Well, we are one step closer to going to U.A! How can I not?" She beamed.
Izuku's eyes slowly filled with tears. "D-Do...you really think I can be a hero?"
"Of course I do, Izu! Not having a quirk does not define who you are. Only you can do that."
"You guys are all third years now. It's time to start thinking seriously about your futures! I would hand out these future career form, but..." The professor took hold of the papers across his desk and threw them in the air. They scattered everywhere. "I assume you all want to be heroes!" Everyone activated their quirks, from a student who's eyes easily were plucked out and stretched, to a student who's arm turned to rock.
[Y/N] leaned against her desk to get a better look of what Izuku was scrawling in his notebook, completely ignoring everyone around them. Izuku caught her stare and his face flushed before he gave her a smile and continued writing. He seemed to be at least paying attention, but he was more focused on the notebook he was writing in.
"Yes, you all have wonderful quirks. But you know that it's against the rules to use them in school!"
Another voice seemed to speak. His tone was full of mockery and laughter. "Sensei! Don't lump me in with these losers!" Bakugo leaned back against his chair with his hands in his pockets and his legs rested against his table. "As if I had anything like their crappy quirks."
[Y/N] rolled her eyes and sighed. She leaned closer to Izuku's desk. Her tail seemed to thump against the floor, before it rose to curl around her desk's legs. It seemed to have a mind of its own, and Izuku couldn't help but watch in fascination as it unravelled itself and rose to stroke against Izuku's cheek. The green-haired teen flushed darkly, letting out a few nervous chuckles. [Y/N] scratched her cheek and looked away. Bakugo had been watching, his head turned a little to the side to watch them interact. His fists curled inside of his pockets and he tried not to snarl.
Was it jealously? No! Of course not! Bakugo wouldn't get jealous of Deku.
But why was he so uncomfortable with them being so affectionate?
"Ah, Bakugo...You, of course, must be aiming for U.A High School."
This caused everyone to lose it. "The national school?! The cut-off score this year is 79, right?! I hear they barely accept anyone!!" Bakugo stood up and jumped onto his desk, with his hands out, his fingers bent towards his palms. "Ah, the stupid chattering of extras! I aced the mock exam!! I'm the only one here with the stuff for U.A.! I'll even surpass All Might and become the best hero out there! Not to mention I'll be one of the richest people in the world!!"
[Y/N] was about to whisper something to Izuku before the teacher looked at another piece of paper, his eyebrows furrowed in realisation. He picked them up and outstretched them before him. "Oh. You're also going to U.A., aren't you Midoriya and [L/N]?"
Bakugo froze on top of the table he stood on. Izuku sunk in his chair, placing his arms around his head, one eye staying on his childhood friend. He would blow up for sure. Bakugo had a bad temper. An extreme one. He could lose it in the blink of an eye before you can even register it.
"Huh?! Midoriya?! No way!! Good grades alone can't get you into the hero program!! And [L/N]?! You're too much like a villain to get accepted!"
Izuku placed his hands on his desk. He shook his head, his eyes a lot wider than usual. "Th-That's not necessarily true! Sure, there's no precedent, but..."
He was interrupted by Bakugo slamming his hand on Izuku's desk, exploding the wood on impact. The green-haired teen flew back and his back landed against the wall. Why was the teacher not doing anything? What about the rule where they weren't supposed to use their quirks inside school?
"Forget the crappy quirks. You're totally quirkless. And you think you can rub shoulders with me?!"
A trail of sweat rolled down Izuku's face. "Wa...Wait, no, Kacchan. I wasn't...saying I could compete with you!" He extended his arm with his hand aimed towards Bakugo. His entire body seemed to completely shake and more sweat rolled down his face. "Not at all! I mean it. It's just...been my dream. Since I was little. And well...There's no harm in trying."
Smoke seemed to be enveloping Bakugo's hands.
Before Bakugo could do anything, [Y/N] stood in front of Izuku.
[Y/N]'s eyes narrowed and she snarled, her fists clenched at her sides. Her tail wrapped around Izuku protectively as she stared Bakugo dead in the eyes, her sharp teeth baring. She growled. "Leave him be, or you will have to go through me."
Bakugo stuffed his hands in his pockets, a smirk on his face. "You suit a villain. Aim for that, since you will never become a hero." [Y/N] froze. Her eyes seemed to widen from each thing he said. "By any rate, you might be as bad as your father."
[Y/N]'s body trembled. Her eyes pricked with tears, but she refused to let them fall.
She clenched her fists at her sides and refused to look at the slight guilt (if she was seeing that right) in Bakugo's eyes. At least she had Izuku...
But...Bakugo knew how bad her father was...and yet, he said that.
It hurt more than she thought.
Notes:
the nickname "bunny senpai" is meant as a platonic nickname for a teacher
plus y/n can't see her nicknames in the chat for her and vice versa. y/n's father isn't a villain btw
Might start a chatfic which corresponds with this fic :) for side stories and c o m e d y
Chapter 3: The Sludge Villain and Renewal of Friendship?

Chapter Text
[Y/N] had been silent on the walk back from school. She kept her eyes on the floor, and her hand grasped around her bag, tightening her grip to the point her knuckles whitened. As much as she adored Izuku, she had told him she needed a bit of space. It was just what Bakugo had said. The statement had affected her more than she wanted it to. Her father, who she thankfully only had to see once a week, wasn't a pleasant man.
He wasn't abusive, but he was controlling. At least that's what she told herself.
After getting a few items from the shop, she was stepping down the street filled with people. Some were stood in groups, staring after something happening in-between some buildings, where fire licked at the exterior. It flickered and burned so violently a few Pro-Heroes were attempting to quell the fire with their Quirks, as the people started to watch. But...none seemed to be going towards the seeping creature behind them, which hid in the darkness.
Wait...fire?
[Y/N] turned around, her eyes blinking a few times. She wrapped the carrier bag more around her wrist until it burned. She ran forward, dodging around the people, intertwining between the people to get a better look of the scene: a creature, seeping and trailing across the ground like sludge. It took a moment for her to realise but this sludge had someone contained within: they fought and fought, worming around and yelling, setting off their quirk in an effort to get away. From the explosive impact, flames bled across the ground, throwing onto buildings.
No one was helping. All the Pro-Heroes stood and watched. [Y/N] gasped as the victim stared right through her eyes, their blood red eyes burning through hers. It was a desperate attempt to get away, but, it seemed his pride was hurt due to [Y/N]'s presence. Sweat rolled down his face the more he used his quirk. It was Bakugo. It only took a moment for her, and Izuku (as she only noticed) to run towards this sludge monster, throwing her bag on the ground.
The Pro-Heroes shouted for them to come back, how it was dangerous.
Then do something. Don't just stand and stare.
"INSTEAD OF WATCHING, DO SOMETHING!" [Y/N] seemed to shout, surprising both Izuku and Bakugo. Even the Pro-Heroes gaped at her sudden shout, and were too shocked to do anything. She reminded them of someone. Her eyes were narrowed in anger and annoyance. She flexed her hands before her claws seemed to sharpen. Tears rolled down her face as she neared the creature, just as Izuku threw his bag at it, trying to get Bakugo free. Bakugo's eyes widened, watching her tears roll down her face. Was that his fault? Was he that much of an idiot?
Would she get in trouble for using her quirk? Probably. But right now Bakugo's safety was all she cared about.
"[Y/N]!" Her mother's voice called, but she wouldn't listen. [Y/N] clenched her fist, tightening her claws to the point dark magic covered it, and smashed it into the monster. Upon impact, the monster exploded, and sludge sprayed everywhere. [Y/N] caught Bakugo just in time before he collapsed. She held him by wrapping her arms around his waist, and she plopped herself down, resting his head in her lap.
His breaths were short, and slow. He breathed in and out, beads of sweat rolled down his face. He wiped his palm across his face, wiping off the droplets of sweat. It was taking him a moment to regain his breath back. Bakugo didn't even notice he was resting in [Y/N]'s lap, or how Izuku seemed to sit down beside them. The heroes began to collect the pieces of the villain's scattered body into bags.
Whilst Izuku (and [Y/N] for using her quirk) were being scolded, Bakugo was being praised for his quirk. Bakugo immediately sprang up and sat down a little far from the pair, hiding his flushed face in his hand. [Y/N] furrowed her eyebrow at him in confusion before shaking her head with a small smile. Ayuna placed her hands on her hips, a scolding glare across her face, as she noticed the three she recognised.
She had shouted, trying to stop her daughter from intervening. She couldn't complain too much...it's just...what if she was hurt? She should have been quicker to deal with it herself, or at least, someone else should have dealt with it. Just what were they thinking?
It didn't take long for Ayuna to step towards the three students, her [e/c] eyes hidden behind a black mask. The air immediately turned cold- the Pro-Heroes watched her with slight fear, stepping to the side to get away from her wrath- as she stepped in front of them both. Izuku looked up at Ayuna with slight fear, sweat rolling down his face, whilst [Y/N] stared, her eyes piercing through her mother's, now reflecting her stare.
Bakugo and Izuku both stared at them in confusion as they maintained eye contact, not saying a word, but they could see, even sense, the anger stirring within them both.
"[Y/N]." Her tone of voice even caused Bakugo to flinch. "Do you realise how dangerous that was? You could have been hurt! You don't just run into danger like that! What if you weren't able to defeat it? What then?" How did [Y/N] not crack from her mother's tone? Bakugo looked over to [Y/N], his eyebrows furrowing in confusion. She didn't even seem affected by the rise in her mother's voice. He...could respect that.
"I did what I had to. If it was to protect Katsuki, so be it," [Y/N] spoke, her voice level. Heat rose across his cheeks. She hadn't used his first name in years. He liked how well it seemed to come off her tongue. It was soft, and caring. "No one would do anything. Izuku even tried to! But they didn't."
Ayuna's eyebrows furrowed. Her words spoke true. She could understand if fire was someone's weakness, but, they could have at least tried, and done something. Not just wait until a stronger hero came along. Ayuna let out a dramatic sigh, kneeling down before her daughter. She rose her hand and patted [Y/N]'s head, being careful of her twisted horns. "Just, don't do it again?"
[Y/N] simply nodded.
"Oh, and you'll be doing the cooking for two weeks."
"Ah, that's fair." Izuku managed a chuckle. Ayuna was about to say something until [Y/N] wrapped her arm around his shoulder and brought him closer so he was resting his head against her shoulder (he was very flustered, his face was bright red). Bakugo watched with jealously swelling in his chest. He had always liked [Y/N], possibly before even Izuku did. She was just so kind. "Hey, leave him be! He was really brave."
Ayuna snorted, her eyes gliding over Izuku's reddened face. "He was, but don't do it again, either of you. Got it?" They both nodded. "You kids are gonna kill me one day, possibly before my blood does."
[Y/N] scowled. "Don't joke about that." It wasn't a joke. [Y/N]'s mother, Ayuna, became ill quite easily due to her quirk. If she exposed her skin for too long, such as open wounds, are used too much of her blood, it could become infected. She would become ill with something similar to the flu and she could be bedridden due to having to rest for a number of days, or weeks. And, Ayuna could die easily.
"Aw [Y/N], don't be like that."
"No."
"No what?"
"Just no." Izuku chuckled even more, his eyes gleaming over in amusement over their interaction.
He hoped nothing would change.
Heh. How he was wrong.
Ayuna left soon after walking the pair a little more of the way back home, having to do a bit of paperwork and finish off cleaning up after the sludge monster. [Y/N] rustled through her bag to look through at everything she had bought. Izuku watched her in amusement as she almost pressed her face fully through the gap. Her fingers traced over each snack, and the eggs she bought...hopefully they weren't cracked.
"Can't believe I threw this when I have a carton of eggs..." Izuku stopped as she stopped. Without a word, Izuku placed his hand inside the back as she opened it a little more so he could wrap his hand around and brought it out. He opened it; no eggs seemed to have any cracks. He picked up each one, trailing his fingers across the shells. He tapped his finger against it.
"Looks like they're all fine!" He beamed. He quickly put them back. "Did you take your pills today?"
Huh, always the sweetheart who remembered she had to take her pills. She always forgot so it was nice to see someone remember for her. "Oh! Thank you, Izuku."
He shook his head. He scratched the back of his neck, blushing. "No problem, [Y/N]-chan."
[Y/N] was about to say something until she heard a familiar, aggressive voice. They both turned around to see Bakugo standing with his fists clenched, his eyes widened, almost erratic. His breathing sped up even more, his body even twitching. "Hey Deku! I...I never asked you to save me! Or you, [L/N]! As if you could!! Huh?! I could've beaten him myself. How dare a quirkless failure like you pity me. Trying to win me over?! Don't you dare mock me!! Stupid nerd!!" He turned around and aggressively stuffed his hands into his pockets and turned around, heading back the way he came from.
Izuku smiled after him, relief swirling around his chest. It was Bakugo's own bizarre way of thanking Izuku.
"Hey, do you mind if I walk with him?" Izuku turned to the sound of [Y/N]'s pleasant voice. She was smiling as well.
"Of course not," Izuku managed, gripping onto his backpack. He didn't want to admit how uncomfortable he felt by the idea of [Y/N] walking with Bakugo, but, he wouldn't say that. It was from jealously. "I'll be fine."
"Thanks, Izu!" [Y/N] gave him a quick kiss on the cheek before she ran after Bakugo. Izuku's eyes widened. His face blushed even darker; he rose his hand to trace across his cheek where she had kissed him. It was so soft, and pleasant. Her kisses just felt so natural against his skin...
Damn, he was in love.
He wouldn't want it any other way.
With [Y/N]...
The demonic teen ran even further down the path, almost tripping over from how fast she was going. Bakugo still had his hands stuffed in his pockets, as he stepped down the street, but a sudden voice made him stop.
"Hey! Bakugo!" He turned around just in time to catch [Y/N] who tripped over. His hands securely wrapped around her waist, as her hands pressed against his arms, placing all weight on him, as she pressed her chest against his. A few curses erupted from the teen.
Bakugo scowled to ignore the rising heat across his face. He didn't mind [Y/N] being in his arms, or how close she was to him. He would have preferred it if it was on purpose and not just an accident. And, she didn't even use his first name. "Watch where you're fucking going next time. I don't want to have to catch your sorry arse!"
[Y/N] smiled. "Sorry! I just wanted to ask whether I could walk with you?"
He blinked. Why would she want to walk with him after how he had treated her? After what he had said?
He didn't even notice how close they were. "Why the fuck would you want to do that? Are you stupid or something? Did you forget what I said-"
"-no. Of course not," [Y/N] spoke, hitting her head against his chest. She rested it there, breathing in a little, as her bag stayed pressed against her side. It may be a little out of character for the bad-tempered teen, but he just didn't want to let go. His heart was slamming aggressively against his chest, reminding him of the warmth pressed against him, or how his cheeks became rosy.
[Y/N]'s cheeks were dusted in red. "I...that was a bit harsh what you said, you know? Same with Izuku. You can't say that to people, Bakugo." She nuzzled into his warmth, as she breathed out.
He grunted. "I am sorry about...that. Your dad is a bastard. Plus- call me Katsuki, got it?" She smiled against him.
"Heh, fine. You can't say such things, Katsuki."
His blush worsened. Her voice, and how she said his name was as sweet and smooth as honey. It was enchanting to listen to.
"Shut up."
"No."
"You can no longer call me Katsuki, I take it back."
"No please."
He was a softie for [Y/N]. He just couldn't help it. She made his heart melt.
He didn't even mind...

Chapter Text
[Y/N] slipped on her training shorts and sports bra, slipping on a jacket. The teen grabbed her bag from the side, slipping her phone and keys inside. She stepped downstairs, where her mother was resting against the kitchen counter. Ayuna held a mug with both hands, rising it to her lips and taking a sip. Her [e/c] eyes glanced over to [Y/N], a small smile spreading across her lips.
Ayuna was proud, and always had been of [Y/N]. The (demonic) beauty was powerful, and kind. She saw the good in everyone, she was intelligent and whilst she was mostly shy, she didn't seem to be afraid of standing up for Izuku. [Y/N] would surely become a great hero in time. She had come this far, and she would go even further. [Y/N] headed down the stairs, about to head to the door until Ayuna called.
[Y/N] turned around. "Oh sorry, ma. I didn't notice you."
Ayuna shook her head in amusement. The older woman put her cup to the side. She opened the fridge and took out two bento boxes, along with a plastic bottle filled with water. Using her other hand, she grabbed hold of a bottle of red pills.
Ayuna laughed at the look of confusion across [Y/N]'s face; she put the items into [Y/N]'s arms, taking the pills, unscrewed the top, and took out two. Without a word, [Y/N] took the pills, and dropped them onto het tongue. Unscrewing the top of the water bottle, she swallowed some water to allow the pills to go down her throat. Ayuna helped her daughter to put the bento boxes into her back, along with the water.
"Thank you, ma," [Y/N] smiled, wide enough to show off her sharp fangs. "You didn't have to."
Ayuna flicked [Y/N]'s nose and laughed at her daughter's whine. "But I wanted to. I needed to make sure you eat what you need. Plus, it won't be good if you forget to take your pills, [N/N]. Now, have fun training with Midoriya and Bakugo. But, if they try anything," The older woman's smile suddenly turned sinister. A black aura surrounded her, as her eyes narrowed, a blood-thirsty smile across her lips. "Don't be afraid to punch them across the jaw."
[Y/N] frowned. "Katsuki and Izuku aren't the type to do things like that..." [Y/N] stepped in front of the door to slip on her trainers. She opened her bag, her fingers tracing over each object in her bag to make sure she had everything. It became a daily occurrence, even before school, to make sure she was not missing anything. If she didn't check, she could become a little stressed. Ok, maybe not a little, but a lot. "Izuku is gentle and Katsuki has his daily 'respect women' juice."
Ayuna snorted. "You have a point." Izuku and Bakugo had both been close with [Y/N] since she was younger. They were kind in their own ways, and would never to anything, at least on purpose, to harm [Y/N]. With a shake of her head, Ayuna smiled. "Well, have fun."
[Y/N] stepped outside and waved to her mother as she left.
My Bean <3
hi :)
I'm outside the gym
<3
Cutie <3
i'm nearly there!
just round the corner
<3
[Y/N] smiled as she held her phone, glancing at the conversation. Her heart beat faster from their interactions, and her face lit up whenever they spoke to each other. Many (Ayuna included) tended to believe they were secretly dating or they both at least had a crush on each other. Well, [Y/N] wasn't oblivious to how flustered Izuku would become over their interactions, but then again, he didn't talk to many women, except for herself and Ayuna.
She shook the thought from her mind and returned her phone to her bag, taking her attention on stepping past people, and ignored their stares which focused on her exposed legs, and thighs, whilst she didn't seem to notice. Izuku stood in front of the gym, tapping his fingers against his phone with a bag on his back. He was wearing a hoodie, shirt, shorts and some trainers.
He appeared a little nervous. One thing Izuku did whenever he was nervous, or needed to say something, he often tapped his fingers against something as a coping mechanism. [Y/N] ran over to the teen slightly taller than herself and wrapped her arms around his waist and rubbed her face into his back. He spluttered in embarrassment, his face burned bright red.
"Izuku!~"
"[Y-Y/N]! I t-told you to stop doing t-that!" He started to whine.
[Y/N] could see why people thought they were a couple. [Y/N] was immensely affectionate towards him. She wouldn't quite call herself 'touch starved' but she did adore affection, such as hugs. Maybe even kisses? But, Izuku would likely combust if she even placed a small kiss against his cheek, or even his forehead. Huh, it may be fun to try...she may be a borderline sadist from how much she loved to fluster Izuku.
"But why? It's cute to see how you much I manage to fluster you~" [Y/N] smiled 'innocently'. Izuku covered the bottom of his face with his hand, trying his best not to react and make a noise similar to a goat. Instead, he puffed out his cheeks and [Y/N] turned her head, trying to look him in the eye whilst he looked away. "Aw, come on, show me your face! Izu~" Izuku started to whine, again, covering his face with both of his hands.
[Y/N] chuckled to herself, and took one of his hands into her own, intertwining their fingers together. He let out a bunch of flustered, jumbled words as she led him inside the gym, towards one of the areas they could spar, with a bench to the side to place their stuff. She let go of his hand to place down her bag and as she turned around she could see how red her best friend truly was. He missed the warmth of her hand, and wanted her to do it again, but he wouldn't admit such a thing. Izuku quickly placed down his own, refusing to look [Y/N] in the eye.
"What would you like to start with?" [Y/N] asked as she unzipped her jacket and placed it to the side, beside her bag. Izuku looked to [Y/N] and he quickly had to hide his blush across his face by looking away, and he placed his own hoodie to the side. He could feel the eyes of a few of the gym goers. Their stares felt judgy and almost malicious. But, [Y/N]'s soft smile, (even if she 'looked' like a villain by her horns and tail) radiated nothing but happiness and joy.
Izuku scratched the back of his neck. "I-I...need to tell you s-something."
"What is it, Izuku?"
He let out a sigh, before sitting down on the bench, extending his arm for [Y/N] to take. She sat down, close, beside him, and turned her head to face him. "I...I haven't been around lately because...All Might has been...training me so I can...inherit his quirk."
[Y/N] stared back at him, blankly. "Huh?" Izuku looked up and he could feel the sweat roll down his face from how hard, and harshly, she was staring. He felt himself bend his back a little away from the teen as her stare became more dark and menacing.
[Y/N] was reading the expression on his face, whether he made any slight movement, to catch him in a lie.
Huh, he wasn't lying.
She blinked her eyes a few times to stop the harsh glare she had sent in his direction. She smiled, and inclined her head to the side. "I trust you." Izuku started to smile. "But, maybe you better not leave me like that again, Izu." Izuku started to wave his hands aggressively in the air and he frowned.
"I know! I am really sorry! I swear I will make it up to you."
"I will come up with your punishment later," His cheeks flushed bright red. "But for now, let's just spar, shall we?" [Y/N] stepped towards the sparring mat, placing her hands on her hips, awaiting for Izuku.
He asked, "C-Could you teach me...self defence?" He stepped in front of [Y/N], twiddling his thumbs. The idea of being so close to his best friend, the girl he has a crush on...it was enough to fluster him already.
[Y/N] got into a defensive stance, a smirk stretching across her lips. "I will. But, I want you to try to land a hit." He was about to say something until she held up her hand. "I can take it, Izu. I just want to see how well your speed and balance is." She beckoned him with one hand. He hesitated, before he sighed. He curled his hand into a fist, and glancing one last time at [Y/N]. He then threw himself forward, one fist towards [Y/N].
A small smile spread across her face. She easily dodged out of the way, and wrapped her hand around his fist before she threw him to the ground, one of her knees against on his back as her hand kept his arm situated at his back. Izuku's cheek was squished against the floor.
[Y/N] lowered her head and spoke next to his ear. His blush flushed across his face to the tips of his ears. "Hah, you did well, Izu. But you must place your thumb underneath your other fingers, then strike-Oof-" Before she could react, Izuku had managed to break from her hold (possibly whilst she was talking) and made her roll onto her back, pinning her to the floor.
His arms were on either side of her, whilst their legs seemed to tangle together. Izuku ignored the blush rising across his face, and managed, "L-Looks like I took you by surprise!"
They stared into each other's eyes. Their stares lingered, [e/c] shining more brightly than usual. [Y/N]'s face flushed bright red the longer they stared at each other.
"Y-You have really pretty eyes, [Y-Y/N]..."
"T-Thank you, Izu," [Y/N] giggled. "You're so cute, Izu."
After that, Izuku seemed to completely combust. His entire face became bright red and he had to remove himself from pinning down [Y/N] to scoot backwards and hide his face in his hands.
"Ah, my attack was super effective! My attack, Flirt, can win any battle."
"[Y/N]!" Izuku whined. All [Y/N] did was laugh at his flustered expression.
Yeah, she could be a little sadistic.
[Y/N] sat at the bench beside her bag and jacket. She rose her water bottle to her lips and took a massive sip, as she held her phone with her other hand. Izuku had gone back home around twenty minutes ago, so, she was now waiting for Bakugo to get there. They had agreed (despite him refusing to admit he wanted to spar with her) to be sparring buddies.
The water trailed down her throat, the coldness a pleasant surprise. Her face was still flushed, after both sparring a little more with Izuku, and the fact they were so close to each other. She didn't expect to be so flustered with sparring with her best friend. Well, it wasn't as though she had thought about him in a romantic way before. He had always been so kind, brave and gentle. He was one of the reasons she wanted to be a hero.
She scrolled through her apps before she landed on her 'messages' icon. She scrolled through her contacts before she landed on her mother's. She needed to tell her about the conversation she had with Rumi. She had forgotten it until now. Which was bad, since it had been a few weeks since then.
Favourite Child
hey, ma
rumi-san asked about possibly
all going for a meal together if
i get into u.a
Mother Dearest
Rumi told me herself after you forgot to tell me.
You have a bad memory sometimes.
And, you WILL get into U.A, drewdrop.
I believe in you.
Have more confidence in yourself.
[Y/N] felt a smile spread across her face. Knowing Rumi, she was likely excited to see the pair again, and had messaged Ayuna about it, in thinking Ayuna knew. This wasn't quite the first time it had happened. At least they got a few laughs from such a thing.
Bakugo stepped through the door of the gym, with his bag around his shoulder. He was dressed in a pair of shorts and vest, revealing his muscles underneath his shirt, along with his muscly arms. He soon spotted [Y/N]. His face seemed to be permanently scowling, but his eyes softened when he caught a glimpse of her. His heart beat faster; he scrunched up his shirt in his hand and inhaled.
Her beauty was something else to behold; the light behind her illuminated her beautiful [e/c] eyes, trailing along her glimmering [s/c] skin, highlighting her curves and her rolls just added to how gorgeous she was. He growled to himself, and hid the bottom half of his face with his hand. He was blushing. It took him a little bit to recollect himself; he finally started walking towards [Y/N].
Bakugo stepped in front of [Y/N]. She looked up in time to share looks with Bakugo. She gave a smile, and she placed down her phone and put it inside the bag.
"Oh! Katsuki! Good to see you're here." His eyes glanced towards her bag and he saw the two bento boxes. He had a feeling she hadn't eaten yet.
"Have you eaten?" Bakugo asked. [Y/N] looked away, scratching her cheek. His scowl deepened.
"I mean, I'm fine to just spar, I'm not hungry. Don't worry," [Y/N]'s stomach suddenly rumbled. "Oh..."
Bakugo scowled. "You are going to eat before we spar, and that's final. Don't be stupid, [Y/N]! You know you have to eat more than everyone else! Did you take your pills? You better have, idiot."
"I took my pills before I left. I can just take the other two later," [Y/N] smiled, looking up just in time to see Bakugo's glare. She flinched, feeling a streak of fear run along her spine. His face inched further towards her face and she tried to move away but he slammed his hands down on either side of her body on the bench. "K-Katsuki...?"
Before she could react, he gathered up all her stuff (whilst also carrying his own) and threw her over his shoulder. He rested his hand on her legs as he headed towards the cafe in the gym. He ignored the rising heat on his cheeks.
"Katsuki, put me down! People are staring!" People were in fact watching the exchange with amusement.
"I don't give a fuck," He simply spoke, as they stepped through the doors, towards a free table in the corner.
"...Am I not too heavy for you?"
Did...she think she was heavy or something? He scoffed. He placed her down on the seat and placed down their stuff. She flushed a little as he aggressively placed down his hands on either side of her, pinning her to the seat so she couldn't escape. "Why the fuck are you putting yourself down so damn much?! You're perfect, you got that?!"
"Ugh..."
"[Y/N]," He spoke in warning. [Y/N] looked away from him, trying to hide the tears building up in the corners of her eyes. His eyes softened. "Look, has someone said something to you? Because they're wrong, you know. Who gives a fuck what someone else thinks?!"
[Y/N] sniffled. Tears rolled down her face. "I-I do...I care."
Bakugo froze. His fingers grasping each side of the chair were gripping it more harshly. Did she truly think so little of herself?
"If anyone has a problem, you come to me, got it?"
[Y/N] looked up. "Huh?"
"I will beat their arse for you!" His face darkened the longer she stared. "Don't make me repeat myself!"
[Y/N] smiled, softly. She started to giggle at his flustered expression and she wiped away her tears with her fingers. Before he could react, she pressed a kiss against his cheek. She started to laugh. His face darkened to the point the top of his ears flushed. "You're sweet, Katsuki."
"S-Shut up!" It didn't take long for [Y/N] to eat both of her bento boxes, and she even managed to feed Bakugo a little bit.
How sweet.
Notes:
there will likely be more 'training' parts in the future. this was just an excuse for a wholesome chapter. bakugo is aggressively positive of y/n's body. because yes
Chapter 5: The Entrance Exam(s)
Chapter Text
[Y/N] and Izuku stood before the U.A Examination Site, staring in awe at the massive, glass building. It seemed to mostly consist of windows, whilst the inside of the building itself had leafless trees on either side. The demonic teen tilted her head to the side, her tail swished from side-to-side from excitement. It curled around her leg, still tapping on the floor. Izuku turned his head to the ground to watch as it moved happily.
"You seem happy, [Y/N]," Izuku smiled. "Not that I can blame you exactly! This is our first step to becoming heroes."
"Yes, it is!" [Y/N] turned around to smile at Izuku. "I am both terrified and excited!"
All of a sudden, her tail slammed upwards and hit the person who walked past them. [Y/N] turned around, and bowed. "I am so sorry! Sometimes I can't control-" They patted her head, taking longer to thread their fingers through her locks. She raised herself, eyes widening at who it was. Her face flushed from the narrowed eyes of Bakugo. His eyes were a lot softer, kinder. [Y/N]'s tail unconsciously wrapped around Bakugo's leg. They both looked down, and their faces darkened.
"S-Sorry."
He didn't say a word, but, he stopped patting her head and opened her hand, before dropping something into it. With one more head pat, he walked down the path (after sending a glare in Izuku's direction) and out of sight. [Y/N] opened her hand and saw the black cat keychain. It had bright, yellow eyes, with heart-shaped paint painted along its eyes, to the painted on whiskers and the red bow along its neck.
Izuku leaned against her shoulder to get a better look. His eyes widened slightly. It was a cute, yet unexpected gift from the aggressive teen.
"I didn't expect Kacchan to get you something like this," Izuku said, ignoring the feeling in his chest. It was uncomfortable, to say the least. He wasn't naïve so he knew this to be jealously. Both himself and Bakugo had been in love with [Y/N] since they were kids and this was no different. The pair seemed to be having a silent battle in order to fight for her affections.
Even so, she just seemed content enough from being close to the both of them. She never treat the other differently as she loved them just as much as the other.
[Y/N] could only nod, her face flushing.
"Welcome to today's live performance! Everybody say "hey"!" Present Mic shouted towards the audience of students, holding his hand against his ear. [Y/N] sat in-between Izuku and Bakugo, laughing a little at the man's excitement. Yet, there was only silence apart from a few coughs. He pointed his finger towards the audience, trying to forget the unfortunate lack-of-excitement from the audience. "Well, that's cool, my examinee listeners!! I'm here to present the guidelines to your practical!! Are you ready?!"
Again, only silence.
Izuku started to mumble to himself, as [Y/N] laughed in amusement. "It's the voice hero, Present Mic. Wow...!! I listen to his radio show every week. It's inspiring. Guess all the U.A. teachers are pro heroes."
[Y/N] glanced at Izuku who was holding his face in excitement. She asked, and Izuku removed his hands from his face to look back at her, "If that's the case, my ma may be a teacher there as well."
Izuku pondered aloud, "She would likely teach science and self defence..."
[Y/N] nodded in agreement, turning back to face Present Mic, who was now explaining the practical exam. It would be set in a "mock cityscape manoeuvres" and students from the same middle school would be unable to help each other.
"Looks like we won't be able to help each other," [Y/N] said as she continued to watch Present Mic. They both looked at her, and nodded. Bakugo hadn't spoken much since he had given the gift to [Y/N]. His cheeks were occupied by a light red blush, and his expression seemed a little more twitchy than usual. Maybe it was due to the fact when she was talking to Izuku, she would lean back slightly so she was closer to Bakugo. He could easily feel her warmth, and her tail was not shy in wrapping itself around his waist and tenderly stroking at his cheek.
That was enough to fluster him even more.
He turned his head, his eyes lowering to the ground. His eyes wandered up until he saw the cat he had given her clipped to her pocket. His gaze softened and his cheeks burned darker. His heart beat faster against his ribcage. It made him...happy. He forced himself to face Present Mic, the gift on his mind.
"Each site is filled with three kinds of faux villains. Points are awarded for defeating each according to their respective difficulty levels!! Use your quirks to disable these faux villains and earn points! That's your goal, listeners!! Of course, playing the antihero and attacking other examinees is prohibited!"
[Y/N] whispered, loud enough for Bakugo and Izuku to hear, "Damn, there goes my plan!" Izuku chuckled a little, whilst a faint smile appeared across Bakugo's face, then soon disappeared.
A tall student wearing glasses suddenly shot up from his seat, one arm raised in the air whilst the other held tightly onto a document. "May I ask a question?!"
"...that is a question." [Y/N] murmured. She was on a roll today with her sarcastic commentary. Bakugo was proud.
"There appear to be no fewer than four varieties of faux villain, on this handout! Such a blatant error-" [Y/N] furrowed her eyebrows and crossed her arms against her chest. It wasn't as though she disliked this teen, not at all, it's just...it was a simple mistake. Everyone makes mistakes. "-If it is one, it is highly unbecoming for U.A., Japan's top academy!! We're all here today in the hopes of being moulded into model heroes!!"
All of a sudden this student pointed at Izuku. "You've been muttering this whole time...it's distracting!! If this is some sort of game to you, then please leave immediately!" Izuku quickly covered his mouth with his hands, muttering an apology.
Ah, now [Y/N] was in a bad mood. No one, no one, disrespected Izuku like that (was she making it out to be more dramatic than it actually is?) [Y/N] spoke, her voice laced with slight annoyance, "If anyone was to be a distraction, it would be you." Izuku stared at her with widened eyes, still covering his mouth with his hands. Bakugo, on the other hand, felt pride swelling in his chest. He wouldn't even hide his smirk forming. The teen she had called out, however, widened his eyes. "You're the one who interrupted Present Mic and, " She pointed to Izuku, her eyes narrowing in anger. "He deserves to be here just as much as everyone else." Izuku blushed, and had to look away.
Silence then befell them. The teen soon sat back down, forcing himself to face the front. His cheeks flushed with slight embarrassment as a few people laughed at him. He had no time to consider this strange demonic teen as Present Mic continued what he was saying before interrupted.
It was tense, so the jovial voice of Present Mic was enough to settle them down. "Alright, alright. Examinee 7111, nice catch. Thanks! But the fourth faux villain gets you zero points! He's more of an obstacle! Have you all played Super Mario Brothers?! It's kind of like a thwomp!"
I wanna be a thwomp.
"Only one eat each site! A "gimmick" that'll rampage around in close quarters!"
"Got it...so it's like a stage gimmick to be avoided."
"Thank you, sir. I apologise for the interruption!"
"Really is like a video game then."
"That's all from me!! I'll leave my listeners with our school motto. The great hero Napoleon Bonaparte once said "True heroism consists in being superior to the ills of life." Plus Ultra!! Break a leg, everyone!!"
[Y/N] and Izuku could only smile.
This was their first step to glory.
The site [Y/N] was brought to truly looked a lot like a city. She would have even imagined it to be if it weren't for the other students standing on either side, listening in to Present Mic's speech. Both Bakugo and Izuku were likely listening in as well. [Y/N] turned her head to the side to see a 6'1 student with multiple arms, wearing a mask, listening in to Present Mic. He must have a mutant quirk.
She was between wanting to say hi, and curl into a ball and cry.
Yes, she adored social interaction. So many people stood around her, and she could feel them near her. She couldn't stand how close she was to everyone. She was used to being around Bakugo and Izuku, but not this many people. The teen with multiple arms noticed her spacing out and stepped towards her, worry in his eyes. He asked, making her jump, "I'm sorry if I scared you." He sounded genuinely worried about her.
[Y/N] managed a smile. "No it isn't your fault. This many people just kind of freaks me out." He smiles, closing his eyes. He outstretched one of his arms for her to take; she stared at his open hand for a moment before [Y/N] placed her hand on his. He carefully intertwined between the students, using his broadness and arms to make sure people stepped to the side (without being rude about it) and led her to a place with barely any students.
They stopped. Their hands were still interlocked, but neither seemed to mind. He asked, turning his head towards her, "Is this better?"
"Yes, it is. Thank you."
"It isn't a problem. My name is Mezo Shoji, what is your name?"
"[Y/N] [L/N]!" He couldn't help but smile underneath his mask. Even if they had just met, it was so pleasant to talk to her. She didn't seem upset, or disgusted by his appearance. He gave the time to stare at her horns, and as her tail swished from side-to-side, he blinked. Her tail curled around her leg, continuing to slam against the ground.
That must be because she was happy or excited.
Before they could continue their conversation, the alarm went off. They both looked to each other in surprise. Shoji spoke, "Good luck, [L/N]!"
"Good luck to you, as well, Shoji!" They let go of each other's hands and ran in opposite directions.
~ A Little Later ~
[Y/N] rose her hand to her cheek, where a scratch tore from her cheek to beside her lips, to wipe off the blackened blood pouring down. It rolled down her cheek, before falling on the ground beneath her feet. The blood stained her hand as she wiped it away, slamming her tail against the ground as she stepped through the fake city. A robot suddenly appeared before her; its eyes glowed, focused on its target.
[Y/N] rose her head, her eyes narrowing. Her frown deepened. Her eyes swirled different shades.
"Ah, another one."
It started to glow red.
She dodged the robot's beam attack and she slammed her fist against it. From where she struck it, a hole formed, shattered fragments being thrown into the air. Its exposed wires crackled. It spun around until it collapsed.
The building broke in two from the robot's blast. It started to fall to one side, towards a bunch of students. A few of them managed to get out of the way, but someone else was helping another get out from under the rubble. [Y/N] started to run towards them, as fast as she was able towards them. Her eyes widened at the sight of Shoji lifting some rubble off of another student. He turned around just in time to see her jump.
[Y/N] clenched her fist, throwing it backwards and threw it towards the rubble. On impact, the half of the building shattered into fragments. Shoji shielded the other student as the fragments were thrown in different directions. [Y/N] landed on both feet, and used one arm to shield herself as fragments imbedded into her arm. She hissed in pain as the blood trickled down from the imbedded fragments.
She lowered her arm and turned towards Shoji. "Are you alright?"
Shoji nodded. "We are, thank you. You're very strong, [L/N]. Are you alright?"
"Yes. I will be, at least."
Well, what a way to meet someone new.
Notes:
I'm back with this fic :D
most of the time y/n is a calm person, then the 5% she becomes sarcastic and irritable. maybe the lack of human flesh gets to her?
and shoji is so underrated
