Chapter 19 has been released on my Wattpad

A long time ago there was a writer who wrote a book about a man who lived amongst a world of cripples.

This man uses his ability for others, helping the weak, saving lives, spreading the wealth. In the end, he died due to an unknown illness.

But before he died he brought prosperity and peace to the world and give the world the ability to save others.

He thought it was all for the good. That the people who have the ability will also do the same as he did. But it didn't go as he thought it is.

Year 20XX

It's night here in the USA. One of the strongest and the wealthiest countries around the world. But this country is also full of greedy-looking people who have stabbed you in the back. A country is full of discrimination against those who are weak and can't protect themselves.

A tall and muscular teenager with black hair and burnt gold eyes. The man wears a jacket with a hood hiding his face.

He is currently standing at the very tall building across the area while watching the people below him walk on their everyday life.

"Please don't kill us!"

"You want money? We will give you money!"

"How much do you want?"

Behind him was the injured body of over twenty men who engaged in a fight against him. "The world is cruel isn't it?"
He asked while watching the people below.

He didn't even give a shit about the people he beat up behind him. He continued. "What are your crimes again?" He turned around and look at them. "Rape, drug trafficking, smuggling, Kidnapping, massacre," he said as he summoned a blade to his palm.

"Please! I beg you! I will give you money a lot of it! Just say the amount!"

The man just laughs. Not from his begging but from the people he just defeated. 18 of them are high tier while two are god tier, still, they are all weak in front of him.

"Giving this world an ability is a big mistake," he thought as the blade multiplied to a hundred all aiming at them.

"W-wait!"

All we could hear is the sound of flesh getting ripped apart. The unknown man grinned under his mask. "This world becomes trash...am I right?" He asked as he look at another man wearing a mask who was hiding and silently watching him.

A tall, muscular late teen with green-turquoise hair and golden eyes emerges from the dark. "Why did you kill them?" He asked.

"Aren't you x-static? That hero who saves others. I'm really glad someone like you exists but...just by merely beating them up or putting them in prison will never bring true justice." He said as he retrieved all of his blades in just a flick of his finger.

"But killing them won't also solve anything!" He argued but The man shrugged it off and replied. "They manipulate the law...if no one will judge them then who will?" is what he said before disappearing without any kind of trace.

X-static is horrified at what he just saw. The man he saw held multiple abilities. Even against this many high tiers leave useless against him.

He is the real deal. Whoever is that guy behind the mask must be a dangerous foe if get angry.

X-static feels a little bit sad and some regret because he just watch him kill them off. Even if they aren't innocent, They must be judged by the law, even though the law itself can be manipulated just by Money.

The next day.

Wellston Private High School, better known as Wellston High or simply Wellston, is one of the most prestigious and competitive schools in the country in terms of both academics and Turf Wars.

John POV

I was just minding my own business when suddenly I heard two people bullying a low tier. "Hey give me your money!" These kinds of things are natural, especially in the school where the high tiers think that they are a god themselves.

I wanted to beat them all up but...tch. nevermind. I'm just minding my own business anyway. I walk away but my leg suddenly stopped.

I feel like I wanted to come back. That's right I'll save him! I thought as I run to the hallway back to the bully but when I got in there I saw a girl already dealing with them.

The two bullies run away from the girl while the low tier thanks to the girl before getting away too.

I look at the girl and notice that she is one of the high tiers. She notice me and asked "ow, hello my name's Remi" introduced herself with a smile.

"John...My name is john doe" I said as we shook hands on each other. The moment I touch her hand it becomes all familiar. "Is she...related to x-static?" I asked myself still looking at her.

Suddenly a man appears out of nowhere and punches me hard. "Hey, cripple! Why are touching her with your filthy hand!"

And just like that, my everyday life of getting beat up while minding my own business begins.

John  POV

About a year ago, I transferred into Wellston Private Highschool. "Hello everyone, we have a new student joining us today! Please introduce yourself"

"My name is John, I hope we can get along!" I said as I sit on the sit my teacher pointed out.

I have worked very hard to get into this school. Much a sleepless night, countless hours of studying. With such a difficult Entrance Exam.

I expected academics to be the main focus in Wellston. I expected it to be different. "Hi, John! I'm Elaine. Welcome to Wellston!" She greeted me and ask me how's my first day.

"Not bad I guess," I replied thinking's that everything would be fine. "Wonderful. So which school did you transfer from?" She asked with a smile while the rest of my class are just minding their own business.

"I'm homeschooled before" I replied and she was quite surprised when she asked me something. "So, John. What kind of ability do you have?" The atmosphere inside began to change as every last one of my classmates get silent.

I could feel everyone's eyes looking at me. What should I do? Should I tell them about my ability or just lie like usual.

"Actually, hmmm..how should I say this," I replied then smiled. "I don't have one," I said as their faces began to change and my expectations pierced me like a dagger.

I was wrong, this place was like the rest of the world. "What did you say?" She asked in an angry tone. I replied, "I said I don't have an ability...wait..are you alright?" I panicked sweating a bit as I touch her shoulder if she's is alright or not. "Don't touch me!" She shouted then suddenly push me away as I fall to the ground.

The whole class is looking at me like some kind of an idiot and whispering a lot. In this world strength defines power. And those without strength are crushed.

"I can't believe I wasted my time talking to a trash like you!" She angry yelled as I just look at the ground and silently laugh.

I guess they heard me as they all look at me. "What are you laughing about cripple?!" Elaine asked.

I replied. "All of you are the same. Everywhere I go, Everywhere I look. It's all the same. Power here and there. As long as you have got the strength you'll trample the weak. This world is too cruel and unfair. It's annoying" I said

"So what huh? It's not our fault that you are born useless!" She shouted she get surprised when I stand up. My classmates are looking at me in surprise.

I seriously look at her. I'm going to use my ability to make her know her place but I decided not to. I wanted to be in peace.

"What?" She asked angrily.

"Nothing" I replied as I grab my bag and leave the room.

In this world, those without strength are nothing.

Seraphina POV

For as long as I can remember, I had to be perfect. "Seraphina, you are not like the others. You are born gifted. You will rise above your peers!" I must be stronger than anyone. I must be smarter than anyone. I must be Perfect!

But, when you're consistently perfect, it's no longer an accomplishment. Perfect becomes an expectation. Others start watching and they start judging.

I'd become so engrossed in other people's expectations that I'd stopped living for myself. But I've also learned to realize that everything was destined to be this way.

Just like how the strong will always stand up at the top. And the weak will forever stay at the bottom.

My role was to be at peak and to be perfect.

Then this kid shows up.

"Hey guys, I'm not here for a fight," The new student named John doe said. He is known as the cripple.

"Don't worry, we are just here to educate you," one the guy said smirking at him. "In this school, there is a system we called hierarchy, and you as a cripple is at the very bottom! You must learn to obey our orders!" The other one said

I'm just watching them do anything they want as suddenly John doe notice me." Hey! Can you help me out here!" He shouted. Who does he think he is?

Instead of beating him I just listen and watch not wanting to intrude at all.
"That's the queen, you idiot! You can't just talk to her like that!" The bully shouted as he activated his ability and attack John.

I was surprised as suddenly when john blocked their punches so easily. I look at his eyes and so that was not glowing so it's impossible that he uses an ability.

"This is interesting," I thought as after watching them I saw john run behind me escaping them. "Hehe, Thanks for nothing!" He said before getting away.

He is a cripple he knows but he knows hand-to-hand combat.

John POV

It's been nine months since I got into this school and all the time I always get hunted down just because I'm a cripple, though none of them ever get a success beating me up.

Today is the day that the cafeteria will sell a Triple Choco cake. "I must get it no matter what!" I thought as I wanted to have a taste of it.

Seraphina  POV

"Seraphina! Come and get your test!" The teacher called and I look at it. "Good job! Another perfect score! The student you must all follow Seraphina's example!"

"That's not fair, teach!"

"She's on a different level than us"

"That's right, she knows everything"

I heard all that they are saying.  Good grades and strength don't just come from nowhere. I worked hard to get where I am.

I'm currently heading out for the cafeteria to buy some food. While I am at it. I heard their whisper again.

"Did you hear we won the turf war again"

"That was a strict win!"

"Of course we have Seraphina!"

"Right, otherwise. I'll be disappointed"

I just didn't mind them. I'm already used to it. Hearing it every day. 

I'm the smartest and I'm the strongest. I do everything that is expected of me. But what do I get in return?

Cafeteria; John POV

"Finally! I have the triple chocolate cake!" I thought almost drolling from it. I've been here for months and yet I always don't get a chance to buy one.

"Can't wait to taste it. It looks so good!" I thought as I find somewhere to sit when suddenly I heard someone calling behind me.

I turned around looking annoyed. Who has the guts to disturb my alone time with my little chocolate cake? "What? You again?"

She looks so irritated though. "I want that piece of cake. Give it to me "

"..."

"No way. Look I don't care if you are King, ace, queen, or whatever. This cake belongs to me so back off! Go get your own!" I said a little bit pissed myself.

"Don't make me repeat myself" she said activating her abilities. I sigh and turned around not minding her.

I'm just going to mind my own business as always. "I said give me that cake!" I heard her shout as I sensed something is coming.

I can't move. My body can't move. I saw that everyone was frozen too, just like I am, though the difference is, I know what's happening.

I saw her fist approaching my face little by little. It's like slow motion. "She's too slow," I thought as I jump away to dodge her punch surprising her.

"How can you move?" She asked horrified. She look at my eye and asked. "Your eyes are not glowing, you don't have an ability so how? How can you move?!" She shouted as she charges at me again.

She becomes much faster but she is still weak. This is what they get if all they strengthen is their ability and not their body.

Seraphina POV

I was surprised that he can freely move despite time being stopped. I deliver a lot of kicks and punches but none of it even graze him. All he is doing is dodge

"What's wrong with him! He is just a cripple then why did none of my attacks hit him!" I thought as I strengthen my ability more and more and more and more and more to the extent that my eyes and ears bleed out.

I can't be defeated. You are nothing! You are below me! You don't get to stand up to me!

I saw his body stop moving. "It works," I thought as I hit him a lot of times. "You thought your tough shit just because you dodge my attack?  How dare you! I work so hard every day! You can't just humiliate me like this! Who are you! You don't even know what's going on! You're so weak and ignorant! Yet you walk around like you own this place like you can do whatever-

Before I could continue I saw his bloodied face. He is already beaten up. The chocolate cake was all on the floor full of blood. I notice that I'm crying.

My ability was deactivated as everyone in the cafeteria is looking at me. Soon they mind their own business fearing that I will also hit them.

I made it. I'm on the top. So why do I still need to follow the rules? Why do I have to impress everyone? Why don't I get to do what I want?

Release: Jan 13, 2021

Seraphina POV

"Why did I do that?" I thought remembering what I did earlier at the cafeteria. "That wasn't like me at all! What was it about him that made me act like that?" I asked myself and looked at him.

I was surprised to see that he doesn't have any wounds or bruise around his face. Did the doc heal him? Whatever. I'll just focus on the class.

"This will be a three-part project that you'll be doing with your partners," the teacher said and announced the name of the group.

"Blyke and Isen"

"Hower and Mardin"

"John and Seraphina"

As soon as I heard our name I'm doomed. "You've gotta be kidding me,"  Anyone but not him! As the teacher left john stayed at my table using his elbow of course.

"Get your elbow off my desk!" I said irritatedly, but he just stayed with his blank face "How about a no?"

A tick mark appear on my forehead as I'm gonna hit him now but then I saw him smirk "hey hey. if your gonna beat me then, the whole project will be ruined" in a sarcastic tone.

"Don't worry you're not touching this project. I can't have you fail this project so I will do it alone entirely! I'll provide you note card instead of"

"The hell you must be joking," he said. He doesn't have any respect at all. "Okay, it's all decided!" I said as he yelled at me. "the hell! we didn't decide a shit!"

John POV

A week after that. Seraphina give me the notecard but instead of reading it, I tear it down. "What are you doing?!" She shouted angrily.

"Didn't I tell you last week? I come here to learn not to freeload off you. Since we had no communication, I also do the entire thing myself. For now, let's figure out what's each other should be saying!" I said straight to her eyes.

Her face is so angry though. After that, the next day come and the teacher called our name. And just like I expected I get a really big mark!

"Hehe, this is the highest grade I got since I enrolled here," I thought looking at my precious paper with B- mark.

I notice Seraphina leave the classroom so I followed her. I heard a lot of whispering

"Did you know the Queen get B-"

"ugh,  What a disappointment"

"She's losing it, The Queen can't even control a cripple"

"Next time y'know were gonna lose turf wars"

The students are chattering here and there.
So this kind of thing happens here too. She's the Queen so there are people watching everything she does.

It's impossible to escape judgment. This kind of pressure is enough to push everyone to the edge.

Library

I saw Seraphina reading some books as I approached her. "Hey, let's start the next project. If we work together then, we can do better this time," I said as she slam her book on the table then she grab me and push me on the wall.

"That's not for you to decide! Listen to me. if you don't agree to use my notes. I'll be glad to send you to the infirmary every day!" She shouted at me still grabbing my collar.

"You would go that far for perfect grades? Is it that worth it?" I asked and she replied "yes"

"Why do you like doing this extra work all by yourselves?  Or are you just trying to impress everyone around you?" I asked calmly.

"What did you say?" She is pissed right now and then I warned him that if she beat me up then I'll gonna fail our whole project. That's not bad, I can do anything I want.

"Fine, I'll make you live a living hell!" She said but I just shrugged it off. "Look, I'm a cripple. How could you make my life more miserable?"

Seraphina POV

What the heck is wrong with this guy! All he just needs to do is to read my notes and that's it we will both walk out with an A.

"Why don't you do what I say?" I said activating my ability.  "Because I don't want to, I don't care about what other people say to me. Before I come here, I decided that I'll live the way I want" he said as I just get back to my sit and both of us continue the project.

The next day

I saw John sitting at my table in the library and just like always we started to argue again but this time I accepted it.

He won't back down no matter what I do. While we do the presentation I saw his notes and there's a lot of blah blah blah thing in there. What the heck is wrong with him, didn't he read the whole thing?

I also notice him sleeping so I slam my book on the table every time he does it. "Get back to work, slacker"

We did put a lot of time into this presentation. We spend our entire week in the library. I explained every detail of the books to him so why?

"Why do I keep getting grades like this," I thought looking at my grade A-.

I notice him approach me "what is it?" I asked and he seems happy. "All the work paid off! We got an A!"

"You idiot! That's minus A!" I said pointing at the A- mark on his paper. "Why do you keep dismissing everything? Does nothing satisfy you?" He shouted and I replied "don't talk to me again" as I left the room.

Library

He again followed me in the library. "Hey, I don't understand this part. Can you explain it to me?" He politely asked.

He notices me make a weird face. "I didn't expect you to swallow your pride and ask me," I said. "Hey, I want to do well too!"

I help him and teach him everything I know about these books and the stories. And just like that our studying takes an entirely whole week.

In the classroom I notice him staring daggers at the floor. "You're gonna burn through the floor if you're gonna be staring like that. What's wrong?" I asked.

He replied. "I just don't like what everyone says about you so I don't want to drag you down anymore," he said as I sarcastically said, "A bit late for that, don't you think?"

"Sorry"

"Hey, just forget it and focus on the report," I said as he just sigh and nodded.

"Seraphina and John! Please start your reporting" the teacher said as we stand up.

"You are by far the most persistent partner I have," I said at him as we finally started our last report.

After that, the teacher hand us our grades and I can't believe that we pulled through.

I then approach him to say my thank but when I got near, his eyes are sparkling. "We did it! Let's celebrate! Drinks on me!" He said

"Hey, we may have gotten A this time but our grade is still A-" I said but he just shrugged it off.

"Ow, come one! You need to learn how to relax once in a while," He said as he pulled me to go with him.

I don't know how he managed to drag me along. But maybe deep down I wanted to celebrate too.

It's so ironic. The first time I'd never decided to reward myself was for something imperfect, an A-.

I think it was when I began to realize... reputation isn't everything. I should focus less on how others perceived me, and more on what's makes me happy.

Because in the end, I have to live with myself.

John, You are truly extraordinary. Even as a cripple, you can push through others' prejudice, stand up for yourself.

Even though you're at the bottom, you can break molds. You're an inspiration. Thank you.

You showed me that even the weakest person has something valuable to offer. That no one is worthless.

Or like I thought so.

"Seraphina... the truth is... I do have an Ability"

I was surprised as I don't know what to say. Come to think of it, he could easily move inside my time manipulation. Is he perhaps stronger than me?

Release: Jan 14, 2021

John POv

It's been a year since then. I am now in my second year of high school and I'm glad that Seraphina didn't tell any living soul about my ability.

Flashback

"Really? I thought so too" she said while drinking her Wooba Booba drink. "Anyway, why hide it?" She asked.

I replied. "I just wanted to live my life away from the hierarchy." that's right. In this school, there is also a hierarchy where as long as you were strong then you'll become one of the royals, but that also means that you'll be in charge to take care of a bunch of things.

"Nah, what I mean so why did you decide it in the very first place? I mean, you can easily run away from the hierarchy thing with your ability and no one will bully you. You can live the way you want so why don't you use it?" She asked.

What she said was all true. With my ability, I could easily do anything I wanted. I can escape the hierarchy system just by beating the shit out of them if they ever come after me. But..." my hands are tainted," I thought remembering every last people I killed all this time.

Not just that. My previous school. I don't want to remember it. I touch my head as it began to hurt. "John are you okay?" She asked sounding worried.

"Yeah, I'm fine" I replied as she sigh in relief looking at me. Maybe she's waiting for a response to her previous question.

"I can't tell...every time I tried to remember it, I always get angry and go into a rampage. I don't want to hurt anyone" I truthfully said as she smiles.

"Don't worry, if you ever end up like that. I will stop you" she said as I tried to stop my laugh but it didn't go too well.

"Why are you laughing?" She asked as I continue to laugh. "Stopping me huh," I sarcastically thought as I couldn't think of any person possibly even stopping me.

"I'm leaving the Queen's position," She said and that caught me off guard. "Eh why? You will lose your privilege as a royal" I said. She just shrugged it off and replied "Nah, I'll also live the way I wanted," she said and I smile. Ever since that day she become my friend. I just hope that she won't be like them. Those traitors.

Flashback End

Today is one of the best days that I could experience. Some peaceful time. groaning under my sheath as I tried to sleep more because I'm too tired to deal with something so troublesome. I heard my phone ring and I look at it wanting to slam it on the floor. who in their right mind would disturb me?

'Hello?" I said a bit irritated by the fact that she called on my very precious day. "I need to make a trip to the mall. Will you come with me?" she asked as I remember the time we go to the mall. it's like hell. we stroll in there for a whole fucking day just to buy one shitty clothes and not just that, she also made me carry it!. I don't understand the woman.

"Nah, I'm kinda busy right now, I also need to clean my room so it will take me a da- before I could say more. I heard my bell ring *ding dong*. don't tell me she's here.

Seraphina POV

I look at his little enraged face "Don't give me that look. I'll help you clean" I said as he sigh and let me in. It took me only half an hour to clean the whole room though. "There, all done. Let's go" I said "fine, you got me, but don't take too long, alright/" 

Shopping Mall

As I was looking for clothes to buy, John suddenly rush at me and called my name. "Sera, How's this?" he asked while showing me the shirt his holding. "That's Lame y'know" I bluntly said as he wear it afterward and show it to me. "Not bad," I thought.

'See, the mall isn't that bad" I say and I notice him looking at the ability gauge store. " Hey, Sera wanna give it a try?" he asked pointing at it. I reject his invitation as I told him that most of those things are scams. "Come on, it's just for fun"

By the time we got there we heard a fight "What are you saying we only got 4?!"

"But ma'am you should be proud of this score. that means that you are better than an average person," the man said but the woman do not want to back down. "You are telling me that, but you only give me 4! Listen to me! If you don't give me my money back! I'll blow this booth to bits!" she shouted as she activated her ability and it's getting annoying.

The people behind me disperse because it wasn't worth the wait.

John POV

This is getting out of hand. from what I can see, the man is telling the truth. "huh, mind your business brat!" She shouted. "Excuse me. This is my business. I'm not gonna wait for you to get your ten-dollar refund. stop bullying the guy and give someone else turns," I said as she got mad.

"Kids like you should know how to make their mouth shut!" she shouted condensing an energy ball out of her palm. A shot of that can deal very serious damage.

I saw a security guard nearby and I smirk. Before the lady hit me, I shouted "Help! The crazy lady is going to blow up the mall!"

The guard stops the lady. The lady then shouted that it was the man's fault for scamming her so the guard grab the man and forced him to give her money back.

"The hell?" I thought. Are they an idiot? It's already clear that the girl is at fault. What the hell is wrong with that guard.

It doesn't matter where the evidence point. The result is all the same. "Sorry we didn't come to trouble you" I apologize to the man.

"There's no need to worry about that. Not many people are willing to speak nowadays so thank you," he said as he give us a free shot. It is the least he could do for someone who tried to help him.

"Wow, your an 8. Your very gifted!" He said as he handed her the teddy bear as a gift for having a high rank. "Umm thanks" Sera replied.

"Here young man. I'll do yours too," He said but before he could touch me I step back. "Sorry, for trying to do it without your permission" he apologizes.

"No it's fine," I said as we leaves the mall afterward.

Outside

"What are you laughing about?" I asked looking at Seraphina. "No I just thought that you'll bit that girl out and I can finally get a look at your ability but in the end, you just scream"

"He shouldn't have returned the money. The lady is clearly in the wrong. But she ended up getting her way because she was more powerful" I said.

"This world is unfair"

"So what do you want to do? Make a rebellion or something" she sarcastically asks.

"Hey, that's not what I mean" I replied

"..."

"But who knows. That's not bad too" I said surprising her. She then playfully punches my shoulder "don't act cool y'know"

Suddenly I sense something. I look behind me startling her. "What's wrong John?" She asked as I grabbed her arm and dragged her with me.

"Hey John, why are we running?" She asked but I didn't reply. As we got into the alleyway I grab the shirt in my bag and throw it behind me.

The shirt is floating. I felt my surroundings freeze time again and in just an eye the invisible man was already gone. Sera kick him.

After that, we continue to run. "That thing almost got us," I said as sera stayed silent looking at me.

"What?"

"It's been a year y'know since we met snd yet ever once I haven't seen you use your ability or tell me about what kind of ability you have," she said.

"Did we just become friends just for you to know my secret?" I asked as she gulp because she could feel the tension in the air.

"Th-that's not it!

"It's fine, My ability is Aura Manipulation"

Seraphina POV

I notice a book under the table. "How did he manage to get one of these?" I thought as it was already banned from publication by the government.

"My dad has few extras left so he gave one to me," he said as I opened it and saw the name "W.H.Doe"

He told me afterward that that is his dad.
I'm so lucky. I've wanted to read one of these, but copies are hard to find. I wonder how this book sparks too much controversy. "Jeez, it's so hard to find info on this book," I thought.

I also heard that it's cursed and everyone who reads it becomes delusional to become one of the heroes. Like x-static or whoever else. They were all influenced.

"They are not delusional," he said as he told me the reason why they are stepping forward is that they understand and realize the true message of this book.

"Our World is flawed. We should be bringing peace and balance using our power, not to use it for our selfish needs" he said as I grinned.

"You starting to sound like those vigilantes"
I said as he sigh and told him that I'm borrowing it.

"Anyway, John. If the world for you is flawed then why not change it?" I asked. That's right, he does have an ability so he most will use it for the better good.

He sits just in front of me and sighs. "it's useless. I tried, but nothing works. There's just too many of them,"

I'm quietly confused though. What does he mean by that? "And here you're saying that we should use our power for good?" I sigh.

"Hey, forget it and that's it," he said giving me the noodle soup. "Hehe, y'know John. Changing this world is just too much work. You can't just do it alone. You need allies," I said.

"Tch, what are you saying. I said forget it," he seems mad but I just shrugged it off. It's not like he is going to hit me or something. "I mean, what about starting changing the school?" I suggested.

Wellston Private High School is a school that holds pride for its turf wars and academic standings, but inside of it is a harsh reality.

I saw his face make up a smirked. "Not bad...not bad" he then looked at me and asked, "then will you help me?" I'm just suggesting that. It doesn't mean that I'm helping him. "Nah, it's just too much work"

He sigh in defeat "thought so"

"But, once you started in that school. I know someone will come to help you"

"And who is this someone? Care to tell me." He asked and I replied. "The current queen of Wellston of course" and that ended our discussion as he told me that his going to think about it. Wait...Is he really serious?

The next day
John POv

"Authorities have discovered a body in the South Wellston Area and that has been marked by the infamous Ember logo! The victim was identified as ArkRaygeous and just like the rest of their victims. This one also has burns and an ember mark on its body,"

"So far, we've noted that Ember victims are well-known and high tier Superheroes," The reporters and Authorities in the Television says.

I feel that my bloodlust increased as I was clenching my fist. "They are getting near!" I thought that I'm the one who should find them but I guess, luck is with me this time.

This time I won't let them escape. I will erase their existence at the face of the Earth.

The next day

I got so carried away with the weekends. I forgot about the history test I have today. As I walk with my face busy looking at the paper handed by Seraphina for me to study.

I accidentally bump someone unexpectedly. I look at the man with a straight face "ah, sorry about that," I tried to leave but a man suddenly grab my shoulder. "Hey! What are you doing! You bump into the King and that's all you have to say?"

"Hey, look I already apologize okay?" I reasoned as I'm tired to deal with annoying people.

"You!

"Just let him," the king named Arlo said. "But Arlo he just walks out like that," The blue man said but Arlo just smiled looking at me. That guy is planning something.

Arlo POV

"Hey, Arlo. Wasn't that guy we're looking for? If you want. I can go after him and dragged him back here," my accomplice said.

"Didn't you notice something?" I asked and replied nothing. "If you had no ability and bump into the king. How would you react?" I asked.

"Well, if I were a weakling and I bump into the king. I would be scared. I will be beaten up" he truthfully replied.

That's what I thought so. Not that only he walked straight into me. When he returned to apologize, his eyes don't show any hint of fear. "What an interesting guy," I thought.

John Pov

"Dad?" I called.

"Everything alright in there, right?" He asked through the phone. "Yeah, same as usual," I answered.

"I'm sure you've already heard about this Ember gang so don't do anything STUPID AGAIN!" he yelled. Fuck, don't shout in my ears!.

"Anyway, take care of yourself, John," He said finally endings the call. Tch! Why would I just let those gangs be? if they are already at my doorsteps.

With Seraphina
Sera POv

It only took me a day to finish reading the book John lend me. "Hey, Seraphina! My parents send some orange from home!" Elaine called. "Later, I'm going to take some fresh air," I said as I leave the dorm and strolled around.

A story about a man who defends the world of cripples. How strange. Where did this premise even come from?

This was probably written by John's father to explain the concept of a more just society. One that is far less violent and dangerous. So that the cripples and low tiers who read this might stand on an equal footing with everyone else.

Many people appear to concur with this viewpoint, and some have even taken matters into their own hands. Identifying themselves as "Superheroes," and assisting others. Just as the Protagonist of the Unordinary did for the people.

It's no surprise that authorities have prohibited the publication of this book... because it calls into question our current society's whole structure The fact that some High-tier had acted into it must've been pretty frightening to them.

There is one similarity between our world and the world of the 'Unordinary'. Only the powerful can influence a situation's outcome. They had to choose whether to use their powers for the benefit of others or to keep them for themselves.

Elaine POV

While I put the juice down on the table I saw a familiar book on the bed. "Unordinary?" That is what I read. Isn't that the book that was banned? I immediately search it down and saw a lot of things.

Mainly high tier becoming superheroes as they die in the end because they get hunted down by the Ember. I'm panicking right now as I called Arlo. "Arlo! I think Seraphina is in danger! I found this book called 'Unordinary' and~

Arlo cut me off. "Don't panic, all you need to do is stay put for now. Does anyone know?" He asked as it told him I didn't. "Alright keep it that way," is what he said before he cut the call off. I'm really worried about Seraphina right now. What did she get into to get that kind of book?

Seraphina POV

I get back to my dorm and notice that the book is already gone. "Shit," I cursed myself, and the next day I got called to the principal office.

Before that, I told john everything and I also told him that I will hide it with me so that it cannot be traced to him. "Fuck I messed up this time!" I thought cursing myself after the interrogation.

My punishment was a whole month of Suspension.

In School
Arlo POV

Seraphina is not acting herself lately. She even beat me during a turf war. But I wonder if the 'Unordinary' book is the reason why she leaves the Queen's position and hangs out with the cripple instead of the High Tiers.

"Could she be acting impulsively because of the book influence?" As I was busy thinking I didn't notice a guy in front of me and of course, I bump into him again.

"Ah, I dropped my papers!" He said he then saw me. "I'm sorry," he apologize as I decided to help him.

"Here," I handed him the paper. "Next time watch where you are walking," I said before leaving.

Three days later I finally get what I want. Seraphina has been Suspended for a month. Enough time for me to find out who's this Johny boy is. "Everything is going as planned," I smiled.

Arlo POV

I'm for my plan to work. I need to find any information about him first. I know the right man for the job. I bash myself through the door shocking him. "A-Arlo what are you doing in here?" He asked a bit scared.

"I want you to find some information about someone. His name is John Doe. The cripple who got here in Wellston two years ago," I said as he is reluctant to accept.

"Wait what's so important about him? Aren't we just wasting our time trying to find out who is it? We all know that he is a cripple." He said.

"Did I tell you that I need your opinion?" His body is shaking once I said that. I sigh. "just do it. I feel like he is hiding something. Also...this time, keep your mouth shut," I told him before I leave. That guy...I had a few encounters with him and he seems suspicious. He is completely powerless and completely unaware of his surroundings and he has no respect for the social hierarchy.

Someone as useless as him should have been put in place long ago and yet he got here in Wellston and casually get along with Seraphina. That fact doesn't line up so I wanted every information about him before I start my next move.

John POV

While I was walking in the hallway. I saw a poll on which Superhero will die next. "X-static?" I thought. Is that dumbass still at it again? He doesn't learn. I look around and I heard a lot of students talking about it too and making bets. "Tch" playing games with people's lives, is disgusting.

"No! Please stop! I stayed up all night doing this project!" I heard someone shout as I turned around. Before the pink-haired man could kick the green-haired low tier I interfered as I punch him directly on the face and push him to the locker.

"You think this is funny? There are people out there risking their lives to save you fucking ass! And all you do is take your satisfaction by beating people weaker than you?! How pathetic, your disgrace to this society!" I said as he activated his ability.

"Like your one to talk! You stupid cripple! I'm gonna blow up your face!" Before he even hit me I elbowed his face making him bleed a lot. "SHUT THE FUCK UP! I'm NOT YET DON'T TALKING!" and then deliver a kick to his stomach making him cough a lot of blood as he stumbles to the ground passed out.

"Tch!" I leave afterward, but before that, I look at the hallway. Someone is spying on me.

Isen POV

As soon as he notices me spying I suddenly run away very fast. How did he notice me? I'm hiding well. I turned around and it seems that his not following me. Maybe just a coincidence. But I'm still confused as to why Arlo the king of Wellston wants something from him. From the information, I gathered. He acts like a cripple would do so nothing unordinary happens.

"Stupid Arlo! Your just salty that Seraphina won't talk to you! But if I don't look to him and give me the report. He will surely have my head" I thought violently scratching my head.

Wait? Bluffing his way out? Not fighting his own battles? Running away scared? Those ate the report I get from different people here in Wellston but... that's not what I saw. He had full confidence in what he is doing. I suddenly saw John. I approach him in a friendly manner. "Hi!" I greet.

"Wait you're talking to me?" He asked pointing at himself. He's a cripple after all and he didn't expect a high tier like me will talk to someone as weak as him. I then told him that I'm going to write an article about the low tier and I want it to be much accurate as possible. "Okay" is what he said as I guide him to the press room.

"Okay feel free to say anything you want," I said. Now let's find out what you're hiding.

I asked him questions and questions and it seems like he is honestly answering them. Just like how he answered the interview on his first day of school. He is homeschooled and Wellston is his first school. "And how you experience here so far?" I asked as I sigh in defeat and told me that it's pretty awful. I asked him to elaborate and he did so too.

JOhN pov

I told him everything that I experienced so far. About low tiers having no right to defend themselves. Can't do what we want to what we think. Life is really scary. One wrong move and we will be put into the clinic for a whole week.

"So John, how do you survive this kind o lifestyle. I mean only you" he asked I answered him that I walk to the edge minding my own business trying to don't get any of the high tiers or anyone's attention.

"Overall, I tried to not get involved and just hide at the corner. Just to avoid everything haha" I said as I could feel his stare.

Isen POV

"Lies" is what I thought. I then asked him why Wellston was of all places. Didn't he know that Wellston is full of ability users?  It's risky for a cripple like him to get in here and yet he still did.

What about his father? Didn't he tell him that this school is really dangerous for a cripple? "He didn't warn you about what would have happened right?" How did he persuade him? Moving too far from his hometown and throw himself into the kind of dangerous environment.

"So the~

"ISEN! WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU  DOING! I COME HERE TO TALK ABOUT THE LIFE OF THE LOW TIERS, NOT TO MEDDLE WITH MY LIFE!" He shouted grabbing me and fuck he is mad. Just like I expected. He doesn't show any respect or fear against someone higher in rank than him.

"You are so lucky. Seraphina has your back. Now, get your hands off" I said squeezing it tightly as he let go of my collar and leave the room angrily.

Library

Now I am sure that there is something fishy. I use the computer and finally saw it. "Got you!" I shouted. "Hey, your gonna kick out of the library again if you continue being like that" blyke said to me.

"Yeah, whatever. Take a look at this" I said pointing at the picture. "Huh, taking a look with girls at other schools again?" He said.

"Huh, are you blind? I'm pointing to the guy!" I pointed him to the person in the photo. "That was john from two years ago," I said but he didn't even give a shit. "Fucking weirdo" is what he said before both of us had been kicked out in the library again.

With Arlo

I give him every information he wanted except for something. That kind of info is better left unsaid. He then ripped the photo and said "you've done well, I'm taking it from here.

A week later

I suddenly notice something is slowly happening. I saw John in a different mode lately. "Arlo, I don't know what you're doing, but your getting results. He is slowly showing his true colors" I thought watching him in a very bad mood.

An hour had passed and I finally finish what I'm secretly searching for. I was surprised at what I have just seen. "Holy shit!" I can't believe it. His private report says that he single-handedly took down his entire class! And his fucking rank was KING!

He is not someone to mess with! If we expose him who knows what he will do! An expulsion on the school record is serious. It shows an individual refuses to comply with the authoritative figure. And the higher the rank of the individual, the worse it looks.

After reviewing his transcript a few times, I notice something. John wasn't expelled for beating up his classmates! He was expelled because the school couldn't control him! What happens when a high tier run rampant? You can't just let them free!

Right now, John is happily minding his own business. It's best to keep things that way. But knowing Arlo, there is no way he'll let this slide. "Arlo you better not act recklessly!" I thought as I rush outside to find him but all I see I was John beating mid-tiers who attack him.

Fuck what the hell, he didn't even use any ability yet he beat four ability users at once. All alone! I suddenly notice Arlo behind me. "Still spying him huh?" He said. Good thing he is here. "I have something to tell you!" I shouted as he look at me seriously. "Go"

I told him that right now, the best course of action is to wait for Seraphina to come back and pretend this didn't happen. "He probably has his reason hiding his ability. So why provoke him?" I said.

"But he is not in his right place," Arlo said "but who are you to decide~ he grab me and bash me to his barriers as I cough blood. "Even with my ability active I still act budge his arm!" I thought trying to make him let go of me.

"I decide everything that happened here so tell me what you found out...now," he said as my body was violently shaking. "I- can't!"

"And why is that?"

"BECAUSE I KNOW THAT YOU'LL PUT HIM ON BLAST! AND I'm AFRAID OF WHAT HE WILL DO OKAY!" I Shouted as he release me. "If you're that opposed to exposing him, then I ain't force you to help. But I'm not letting all this go to waste. I'll take care of the rest" is what he said before leaving

"Wait, Arlo! You don't know what you'll be getting all of us into!" I shouted but it seems he didn't fucking care at all.

The next day
Arlo POV

Order is natural. A weak cower in fear to the strong. Those with similar status get along. And the strongest among us fight to rise to the top. Everyone has his rightful place on this hierarchy. That's why Hierarchy is natural. Because people naturally gravitate to where they belong.

Except him. A weakling without fear. Where the hell does he belong?

I heard the door behind me open and I saw him again. "What are you doing here?" I asked as I told him that this is a place exclusively only for high tiers and commoners like him are not allowed in here.

This guy attitude seriously throws me off. "You are not afraid?" I asked. "From who, You? He said

"Of course, I could crush you in an instant," I said but he replied that it's not worth it and I asked him why. He told me that only shitty low tiers would try to beat a cripple.

"What could a king possible gain from~
I cut him off "satisfaction"

"Please, there is no satisfaction at beating a bunch of idiots weaker than you," he said but how would he know unless he have a personal experience of it.

"Them let me ask you this. So there is this one guy I know. With no credentials, absolutely useless. Yet he talks back to me. He walks where I walk and sit where I sit. It seriously ticks me. If you're a king. What would you do about him" I asked while he slurp his little tea.

"You should be grateful. If you're able to keep all but one person in line, then you must be doing your job right" is what he said before leaving. What the hell is wrong with this guy? He completely missed my point. And not a single one of my threats fazed him. John who are you and why ISEN is so much scared of exposing you?.

John POv

That guy is planning something. "Hierarchy," I thought as I remembered every scene of my everyday fay life at Wellston.

"Disgusting" this system needs to be changed but how? Especially if I want nothing to do with it. All it does is invoke anger and pain, I don't want to go into that again.  I remembered my past "I never wanted to go back to that time again" I thought as I remembered something.

Flashback

"If you want to change the system so bad then how about start here at Wellston? Someone will help you"

"And who is that?"

"Who else but the current Queen"

Flashback End

"That airhead?" I thought as I remembered almost hitting her and in exchange, one of her friends hit me with a laser beam. Why did I hit her again that time? That's too low for me. She's just helping me. I deserve that laser beam, a good thing I didn't fight back.

"Maybe I should talk to her"

No one POV

"ISEN, REMI, AND BLYKE! COME TO MY OFFICE!" The three students who have something to do with the mall bomb scenario have been called by the Headmaster of Wellston.

"I'm sure, the three of you already know why I called you here," Headmaster Vaughn said looking at the three high tiers in front of him. "Is everything in the article true?" He asked.

Remi replied as her sweats dropped a bit. "not entirely sir" as she told the Headmaster about the three of them mistaking the culprit who set the bomb. There was a misunderstanding but they cleared things up with the mall security.

"Good at least you did that," he said. Afterward, he reminded the trio that Wellston is a very unique environment. Here they have the freedom to exercise their abilities as they wish because the damage is easily repairable.

But the moment they step off the campus. They need to be careful because Wellston's safety and reputation are on the line.
"You are three of the most powerful student. Don't act impulsively. Think about the consequences of your action before making a move. Is that understood?" The Headmaster said.

"Yes, Headmaster!" They replied in unison.

Remi Pov

"That wasn't so bad. I thought we're gonna get pummeled" Blyke said.

"Yeah, and can you believe that guy read the newspaper" Isen sarcastically said wondering if the Headmaster liked his article.

The event on the paper happened two days ago and on a weekend no less! How could someone from our school get hold of the news so fast! "Could it be that...someone been watching us?" I thought.

John POV

As I was just minding my own business trying to find the stupid airhead. Arlo suddenly called me. "Hey, John wanna come with me?"

"To where?" I asked

"Hangout, you'll know soon" is what he said as I followed him. I have a hunch that he's planning something but what if my hunch is wrong? Fuck I won't let my chance befriending a royal get missed.

Timeskip

We've been on this train for a while. I wonder where we are going. "hey, Arlo. What kind of chores are you running exactly?" I asked but he just smiled and replied. "you'll know once we get in there"

Seraphina POv

I and my mother finally fight. I reject her wish. I won't be controlled by her ever again. Just like John, I'll live my life to its fullest.

"The number you have to reach is currently unavailable, please hang up later" I heard on my phone while trying to call John. I remember him telling me that his phone was destroyed by two mid-tiers. Guess he hasn't gotten a new phone yet.

I sigh as I open the taxi door and get inside.
"Location, miss?" The driver asked. "Wellston Please"

John POV

"Hey, Arlo. You know that I'm a cripple right? So why get me here?" I asked looking at the Wellston Turf war location. As I told him that I'm not built for this kind of environment and thought that we were gonna go shopping or something.

"Relax, we're just meeting some people," he reassure me, and besides who would hurt me if he is here, right?. "Come on, let's go," he said as I followed him.

The moment I go there my blood boil. I saw the two mid-tiers who broke my damn phone. "Mind telling me what's going on?" I seriously asked and Arlo told me to wait and he approach them.

"Lock him down" is what I heard before I saw their abilities go active. "I trusted you," I thought as I get hit by the girl's claw followed by the Boys wind that send me in the air as I fall to the ground hard.

Before I could stand the girl pinned me down. I can't do anything. No one will help me. I saw that this location is too secluded.

"This is Ventus and Meili. I believe you've met before," he said as he told me that they are the ones who broke my phone under his order.

"You never wondered why I was willing to tolerate you? Why would someone of my status would associates with a cripple like you? I already warned you, right. I don't have any intention of befriending you. I quite despise you," what he said pierced through me.

I'm an idiot...for trusting someone like him. I suddenly remember my past again. The kind of past that I never wanted to happen again. All I wanted was to be Ordinary...to be able to get along with others.

"Claire," I thought remembering her again and my fellow past classmates who trick and gang me up. Why is it that when I finally get what I want, all of it turned out to be fake?

"What am I doing wrong?" I thought as Arlo keep saying bullshit. That I am completely powerless, that every happen this past few weeks were all according to his plan. Seraphina's suspension, my limited contact with her, and every encounter we had all this time were all planned by this dumbass.

I come to Wellston to experience some new life. Even though I am strong. I wasn't selfish. I didn't boast about my powers. I didn't hurt anyone.

Flashback

"You are enrolling at Wellston?" He asked as I replied, "yeah, I wanted to be in peace this time" while looking at the burning corpse below me.

"That's good! That's where I schooled to" he said.

"Really," I asked as he nodded and continue. "Hehe, I know you and my sister will become a great friends," he said as I just laugh it off.

I told him that I will enroll as a cripple. He suddenly gets Furious. "You can't do that! The student in there will hurt you!" He said.

"I thought you are not worried about me?" I asked as he just turned his head to the side and sighed. "Fine, but be careful John." That is what he said before leaving.

Flashback End

Your right green head...I must not hide my ability. I will always be beaten up. What the heck is wrong with me? Why didn't I follow what you said? I'm such an idiot. Thinking that this world will show mercy on the likes of me. But no, society is cruel.

"Got nothing to say?" Arlo asked. The memories of me beating every last one of my classmates and friends flash through my eyes. It's like watching a movie.

I killed hundreds, I hurt hundreds, and I know that if I continue...I will kill even a thousand. This ability of mine...the sole purpose of it, is to eliminate every last threat holding me back from moving forward.

"That's right, it's can't be helped...if this is what you want..then I'll give it to you," I thought as a violent wind hit the three of them in a flash.

"What the!"

"I thought he was Cripple!"

"You son of a bitch!" I shouted as I attack them with all my might.

No one PoV

John dashes fast to attack Arlo using his amplified Meilli claw but the girl blocks him.

"I'm your enemy!" She shouted but before she could move John use her left arm to slash her. "Ach!"

"Who said you could interfere" he shouted mad preparing her right claw to pierce her this time. But suddenly John has been absorbed by the wind making ng him flew into the air. "Got him," Ventus thought.

"Wait...That's my wind!" He shouted seeing john manipulate his ability too. "Weaklings," John said before disappearing and appearing behind Ventus slashing his body three times. "Ventus!" Millie shouted seeing Ventus fall to the ground bleeding and not moving.

"Wa-wait you win..." She said but john doesn't give a shit. The moment she blink, she saw a claw made of wind approaching her. "That's not on Ventus kit" is what she thought before getting her body ripped to shred.

"So, this is your true self, John?" Arlo thought seeing how brutal the fight was. He doesn't even show a bit of mercy. Looking at Ventus who are bleeding rapidly and Meili's body who was now fully open and will die anytime soon.

John is looking at the damage he deal with and smiled. He looks at Meili and uses his regenerative ability to close the wound near the girl's heart, he didn't heal the slashes, he just closes the fatal one that might kill her. He can't kill a person here. He doesn't want to deal with the authorities again.

"Interesting. You can use three abilities? You are the strongest in Wellston" Arlo said while smiling. But John is not yet done.

John extends his arm as Arlo felt the wind violently rotating at him. "Didn't you think that obstructing my vision will make me use my abili~

Before he could continue John is already gone. He look around but didn't sense nor see anything and then suddenly his instinct make him automatically move and activated the barrier. John fist and his barriers connect.

"The barrier crack!" He thought. "He is Strong, I can't beat him" is what he thought as he saw John stand up again after getting hit by Arlo's Defensive effect.

John finally knows it. if he hit Arlo's barrier. the damage he deals with will also return to him. "Tch"

John rushed again but this time in a very violent storm. "I won't let you!" Arlo shouted strengthening his Ability but the moment John kick him through his barrier, it all broke down.

"Argh!" Arlo cried out as he felt a very sharp pain in his stomach. John punches him again countless times making him bleed more.

"Stop! You win!" Arlo tried to say but john is not listening instead, he use his demon claw and carve six slashes into his body

Arlo is down and is currently showered by his blood. The last thing he saw was John's wound that come from the three of them already healed leaving only blood showering his shirt and pants. "Fuck" is what he said before passings out.

John looks at the trio and just laughs. "This is what you get for trying to fight me!"

He saw a phone on the side and took it. It was Arlo's phone. He scrolled down to find Elaine's number and chat with her pretending to be Arlo is the one who called. He can't have them died now. It will be a pain to deal with.

Timeskip
Elaine POV

I don't understand. This wound...they would never fight each other. "We're they fighting mirror image of themselves?" I thought while waiting at the hospital.

I successfully healed Ventus and Mieli, but Arlo...his wounds are too deep and too brutal. I've never seen him badly injured before.

Wellston is the number one at Turf wars by long shot. There isn't a single student in the entire region who can stand up to him! Except for Seraphina, but she is not around. So who could've done this?

John POV

"First Claire and now Arlo... WHERE THE HELL IS ALL THE WORTH IN THIS WORLD!" I shouted as I didn't notice Seraphina was just near and heard me.

"John! Long time no see" She smiled as I just fall to the ground crying. "John! Are you okay? Why are covered in blood! Who did this to you?" She worriedly said.

I thought that just going to a new school will make me forget my past and have me experience a much better life, but no...that only happens in fairy tales.

This is reality.

Seraphina POV

I just got back after escaping my mother and this I saw John in a bloody mess. John is currently in the bathroom cleaning himself up. "Sera...pls don't look at me right now... I'm so pathetic" I remembered him saying that.

What got into him? The John I know is strong and confident. But right now, it seems like he has broken into a thousand pieces. What happened while I was gone?

I'm worried about John. Even though I don't see any wounds or bruises on him I still can't stop worrying so I called Elaine to check just in case.

"I'm sorry, Seraphina. I can't go right now. Arlo, Meili and Ventus are in the hospital!" She said.

"Wait what happen to them?" I yell. "I... I don't know. When I got there, they are all showering in their own blood" is what she said and suddenly I remembered John showered in blood too.

I gulp...did he get himself into trouble? I told Elaine to take care and I hang up afterwards. 

The moment John left the bathroom I notice something strange. There is something wrong with him. He's not on his usual self. "John, tell me what's going on," I said looking at him seriously.

He just smiled and sarcastically replied. "The school's ace leaves and everyone target her weak friend"

"That's not what I mean. I've never seen you break down before. What happen?" I seriously asked telling him that after two weeks that I'm gone all I hear from him is. "don't look at me"

"Look, I'm fine now. Anyway, why aren't you online lately? He asked as I shouted, "John I'm not joking!"

"What are you saying! I'm worried about you! You didn't call me for these past few weeks!" He yelled back as I told him about my mother cutting my internet connection and convincing them to let me back snd that's why I crash into this place.

"Now explain," I said giving her a death stare.

John POV

Not telling her will only make things worse and more complicated. "I've been tricked" is what I said while explaining everything that happen while she is gone.

Isen and Arlo getting friendly, me getting beat up by the mid-tiers as I just mind my own business and then Ventus and Meili destroying my Phone so that I couldn't contact Seraphina and me being tricked ambushed.

Seraphina is listening as I told her everything. Every last bit of information about what happened. Though I didn't tell her about how I beat those shit up.

Seraphina POV

"Arlo... I'm gonna beat him up!" I shouted angrily as suddenly I stopped when I remembered the earlier talk with Elaine.

"Arlo, Meili and Ventus are in Hospital right now!"

"Those pieces of shit trick me"

I piece everything together and come to one conclusion. "John, are you the one who send Arlo, Ventus and Meili into the hospital?" I asked as he turned his head away avoiding my gaze while biting his lips and clenching his fist.

I sigh. It is to be expected knowing that he has an ability. Enduring the pain for two years and more. Of course, he can lose his patient too.

"John, it's fine, you did nothing wrong. If they are the ones who started it then you don't need to worry about it anymore" I said as I hug him and comforted him.

Suddenly he pushes me and runs to the other side of the sofa. "What?" I asked.

"Don't just hug people you know! You are a girl!" He shouted in embarrassment "eh? So you prefer a guy?" I said sarcastically.

John makes a Wtf face. "Tch, aren't you asking if those shits are fine?" He asked as I think about it. Hmmm...Arlo is the king of defence so it'd be impossible for him to end up in the hospital bed.

"Nah, I guess there's no need to. I'm relieved that someone beat them and send him to the hospital. He and his stupid order are annoying. Always trying to force me to go back to being a Queen" I said. Well, it's the truth.

Ever since I let go of my title. He always comes at me and does anything just to get me back. I smiled. "Hey, John. Since you beat Arlo then... you are the king" I said with my silly face.

"Nah, not interested,"  he tiredly replied. "Hey! I thought you wanted to start changing the system in Wellston first!" I told him about what he talked about weeks ago.

John looked at me with a blank expression "Nah, your the one who suggested it and I didn't even agree on it y'know"

"I see, it can't be helped then"

John POV

Is that all? I thought she would freak out that I beat the king of Wellston. "Changing the school huh..." I thought.  Not bad. Maybe I could change the school first, but...I can't do it just yet.

The next day at Wellston
Arlo POV

I force myself to be discharged as soon as I wake up. I can't believe I passed out after getting beat up. This is the first time I experienced such humiliation. "Come to think of it, now that I have been dethroned. Doesn't that mean that John is the King?" I thought while observing every student who is walking and whispering.

I don't hear anything from them talking about having a new king. But instead, all I heard is them talking about how I look right now! That's right, both my arms and body are covered in Sterile gauze bandages. The doctor told me that I can only remove it after a week.

That guy is insane! He didn't need to beat me up to this extent y'know! Now the entire school are in panicked because of it! "They are freaking out and the word already travel so fast!" I thought thinking how famous I am as the King.

Infirmary

"Is it true?"

"Yes, sir!"

"I see you may leave now" The main doctor of Wellston named Darren said.
"He's a strong kid...who could have done that to him," he said.

"My guess, probably, John," Keene guess

"He is playing cripple remember?" Darren says with a blank face.

"Who else could it be? He is the only one around who could touch Arlo" Keene replied knowing how strong the brat is.

"Come to think of it... he's been acting very irritatedly lately," Darren thought and sigh and the two decided to tell the Headmaster and on their way to the office, they saw Arlo who look like a mummy.

Doc passed some painkillers to him so that he would be fine. "Thanks," Arlo thought. "Don't get into trouble again?" doc irritatedly said as he and Keene headed to the Headmaster's office.

Isen POV

What the hell is happening! I just got out after my lecture class and this is the first thing I heard? "Come on, Isen. Does Arlo lose? He is the defence king y'know," Blyke said after hearing the news.

"Arlo! After all the warnings I told you. You still do it! You and your stupid order! What are gonna do know that you've been dethroned!" I freaked out in my thoughts.

"Don't tell me you believe that crap?" Blyke said while munching some chips.

Seraphina POV

The news about Arlo looking like a mummy spread in here too at Johns Home. On every edge of Wellston. I'm laughing hard looking at the photo. "What's this? a Halloween costume! HA HA HA!"

Arlo POV

What the heck am I supposed to do that I'm dethroned. Though the student still doesn't know it. What the hell is John doing? Won't he make it official?

While thinking I bump into someone again. "Hey! Didn't you learn your lesson?" My blue-haired friend shouted at him "look like I'm gonna have to ~.
I stop him before a fight broke out.

"Don't touch him"

"Ar-rlo"

"Aren't you done yet? You are one of the strongest here, right? You're powerful. Then why not do something productive? Instead of wasting your time flexing in front of this useless human?" I said while glancing at John who look irritated. I can tell that he's still acting like a cripple. Does he not want his identity out?

When he is gone, I let go of my friend's arm. "You disgust me, John. You have so much power, but you keep it all to yourself. Always mopping around, acting as if you're the lowest of the lowlifes. When your strength allows you to have such a large impact. You're so self-centred, you're no good to society. Not only do you treat your role as though it were unimportant. Furthermore, your idiotic worldview has corrupted Seraphina.

Both of you run away and left this burden on me. COWARDS!"

No one POV

Every student around Arlo can sense his aura rampaging a lot.

"He is mad"

"Let's get away from here"

"I don't want to get hit"

His face is terrifying. Suddenly he snapped out of reality when someone kick him to his knees. He looks at her. "Remi?"

"So it's true, you got beaten," Remi said while blyke is behind her and Isen on the other hand is sweating a lot.

Blyke said. "Arlo who is it? We will gonna beat him up. Is it from Agwin high? You look like a mummy" trying his best not to laugh.

"Shut up, the three of you," Arlo said walking away.

"What's his problem?" Blyke asked looking at Remi who is literally confused too and Isen who just smiling even though on the inside he is quite scared.

Isen PoV

This battle between two kings. The drama is too much to handle. My inner reporter wanted to write it so bad. but I love my life more.

Remi Pov

I'm sure of it. There is a spy. "Cecile I want to know who the anonymous writer is," I said looking at the green-haired girl with a heavy eye bag. "Didn't you know what anonymous means?" she asked quietly annoyed. "it's because the writer doesn't want his name to be known for the sake of its's protection" 

'i get that. but the one who submitted the article was up to no good" I said thinking that there is a possibility that the writer is the one spying on the three of us at the mall at that time because an article can't be made that fast.

"Look here Remi, I know that you are the Queen but you can't just boss me around. I can't just give away some confidential information" Cecile said getting up from her seat and with her arms crossed looking at me seriously. "I do not give a shit about what you are saying right now. so get your information somewhere else because I'm not losing my reputation in here"

"Cecile I'm the QUEEN," I said with a serious tone but she just laugh it off. "Playing your Queen cards?"  I cannot tolerate her behavior any longer but I can't get my hands to hurting someone. I just don't see it as the right thing to do.

"Cecile as a royal I must do my best to make a safe place for everyone and to do that I...                     Cecile dashed to me and now we're face to face "YOu want the info then make me" is what she said as I hesitate to hit her. 

She turned around armed cross heading back to her seat disappointed "Just like I thought. You may hold the title, but you are still pathetic" Cecile said with honesty. that's right I'm always like this. "Establish your dominance and take it. When people know their place, they won't step out of line and will do anything you order them" she added.

"Your the Queen and yet you waste your fucking time hanging out with those two crackheads and not just that, you're a good-for-nothing idiot, always helping someone below you. I saw you help the cripple yesterday and not just that. you even let him hit you. This is the example you set for people around you. treat people with respect. who cares if they are powerful? is that what you want to show them? You're delusional...Just like your brother" She said irritatedly.

"Don't talk to Rei like that!" I shouted

"Really? Guess you don't know what Rei is like when he was a king then" Cecile said as she told me about Rei's reign and his stupid system. "He was a man who defied the hierarchy to make everyone equal. He gave the low-tiers the false hope that they could compete with us, and he put the burden on the high-tiers to assist them. He threw the school into disarray. I mean, what did I expect? He is delusional. Fortunately, Arlo and Seraphina were able to correct his error." 

"But Rei is just helping!"

"Neglecting the Hierarchy is a great mistake! People become confused and the fight will break out and those who think they stand a chance will get hurt" She said still irritated. "He just wanted to help everyone! and wanted everyone to help each other!" I argued with her.

"You're a genuine annoyance to deal with. What exactly do you know, princess? There are no unicorns or rainbows on this planet. Kindness and sincerity can't be returned, and altruistic acts will not motivate others to follow suit." she said.

"Your brother is an idealist and a weak king. You should learn from his mistake and step up" She said as I clenched my fist and leave the room. "Rei... he died while helping others. but was it worth it? What difference did it make?" 

No one's PoV

"What the actual fuck is happening?" John thought after noticing several students glaring at him and whispering a lot. He also notices that they are reading something in the newspaper. He walked past them not caring but when he got into his class, he notice a newspaper hanging on the blackboard.

John flipped the pages and read the newspaper one by one "JOHN DOE THE CRIPPLE BECOME THE NEW KING OF WELLSTON AFTER DETHRONING ARLO" is the topic. John on the other hand have mixed feeling. "Who the hell will do this? Arlo? No, it's not, That's impossible. Based on his actions lately, it's impossible...THE PRESS! THAT DAMN ISEN!!" He thought angrily as he tear the newspaper using his hand.

John is furious and will strangle Isen to the brink of death, but before he could leave the room the students stop him by locking the door. "A cripple become a king? Is this some kind of joke by the PRESS?" One of the students said.

"Right, It's impossible for a weakling like him to beat someone like Arlo"

"The Press is not doing their job properly"

"Maybe they want us to beat John that they make something like this, Right?"

John is just listening and after a few moments, he silently said "Get out of my way" One of the students then grabs his collar and replies "What? Your gonna beat us?" John gritted his teeth in anger. "What would a cripple like him do, huh? the other one said. 

"After all the things that I've built up just to end up all for nothing," John thought as he saw the student activating their abilities. "Johnny boy, Are you going to cry now?" he said as he notice John is trembling,

They did not notice that John is not trembling in fear but in Anger "Get your hands off me...NOW" John  shouted with his venomous voice, "Don't play all high and mighty just because your name is on the News Paper!!" he shouted as he send a hook directly on his face but john dodged and step to the side thrusting his leg on his stomach "Argh!"The man cried out in pain at how strong the kick was and get sent out to the wall at the end of the room.

The student grasp in shock but it didn't stop them from shouting venoms at John. "YOU WANT TO KNOW IF I AM THE KING? THEN COME AT ME!" He shouted as every last one of the students compose of mid-tiers attacked him all at once.

Arlo POV

"JOHN DOE THE CRIPPLE BECOME THE NEW KING OF WELLSTON AFTER DETHRONING ARLO" He read and afterward he crumpled it. "Arlo, is this true?" Holden asked but Arlo seems pissed.

"Arlo, Where are you going? Wait!" Holden Shouted as he followed him and notice that a lot of students are running away. "What's happening in there?!" Arlo shouted grabbing one of the students who looks in fear. 

The student gulped and said "John...The cripple is beating his whole class!!" Arlo let go of the man and run to where John is. "Is he insane!!!" followed by Holden.

No one PoV

John without any ability struggle to fight all of them at once as there are too many of them attacking him at the same time. "You fucking piece of shit! did you think I would be beaten!!" He angrily thought as he kick the girl in his chin making it dislocate and punch the man directly in face-smashing its nose.

John dodges every long-range ability he is seeing and finally gets tired of it so he looks and observes their Aura and take control of it in just a blink of an eye, every incoming attacks disperse and the looks on their face is priceless. The look of terror. "I can't activate my ability... What happen?" They are confused.

John smashed one of the chairs using his hand and the debris fell off. He grabbed the fell-off stainless steel. "Now Now...I hope you guys are ready to experience a fair fight" John sarcastically said. "ATTACK HIM! HE IS ONLY ALONE!"

Every last pone of them dashed toward him and john knows this will be hard if they cornered him so he jumps behind them surprising them as to how he could jump that far and as soon as he landed he twisted his body toward them and lung steel hitting the back of the four students.

Before every last one of them could turn around, John dash forward hitting them one by one. It's as if it happens in just a blink of an eye. Each hit that he delivers can dislocate or crush your bones. HE is insane. 

The other student-run away from him leaving the classroom but some were hesitant to even move because of fear as their body accept the pain of John's hit. In just two minutes, all MId tiers knock out on the ground as their blood drifts on the floor. "Please stop! I won't do it again!" The green-haired guy begged but john doesn't give a shit. He smashes his head on the table.

He look around and saw every last one of them in a bloodied mess, knock out. "MONSTER" John suddenly stopped as he grab his head. "Please stop! STOP HUNTING ME CLAIRE!!" He shouted as he finally snapped out to reality and focus and what he is going to do next.

John leaves the classroom only to notice that the High Tiers and the Royals are already here running toward his location. "You guys are late," John said pointing at the room. The Royals look and watched it in horror. 

"How can you do something like this?!" Blyke shouted grabbing John's collar while Isen retreated to find DOC. "They attack me first" John reasoned.

"But beating them to this extent is not right!" He yell but John smirked "What do you want me to do then? Allow them to just gang on me with their abilities and beat the shit out of me without fighting back?" John says as he shut the fuck up.

"But John this is just inhuman!" Remi shouted as John grab her collar. "Mid Tiers attacking low Tiers for no reason, the same with High Tiers to Mid and Low Tiers...They all attack just for fun and me who just defended myself...who do you think is much worst?" I said while blyke is trying to get me away from her but I just grab both of his arms using my left arm while my right arm is still grabbing her collar.

"ANSWER ME!!" John shouted at Remi.

"John please calm down!" Arlo said while the rest of the High Tiers are confused as to why Arlo is not beating him up. "Remi doesn't know how the Hierarchy and the world works, She is just an airhead so please calm down and let go of her"

"What do you mean by that Arlo!" Remi shouted at him as John let go of her "Sorry, I forgot that you are too good to know how this damn society works" John says. Blyke on the other hand is mad, but his instinct is telling him to just stay still.

"Arlo! Are you okay with this?" Remi asked while pointing at what John had done. "If countless of Mid-Tiers gang you up, Would you fight back to stay still allowing yourself to get beaten up?" Arlo asked.

"Remi Arlo is right...What John did is not right, but...If it were him then I would fight back!" Blyke said convincing her to just stop. 

John just smirked and said. "You are just like your brother, Too kind for your good," John said sarcastically "HOW DO YOU KNOW MY BROTHER!" Remi asked almost crying as she remember that her brother died. 

John didn't reply as he extend his arm and his eyes glow after a few moments, the students who got beat up and showered in their blood get healed in an instant. all of them were shocked, especially Elaine who can't believe what he has just seen.

Her ability is much weaker and slower than John and not just that, He healed them from far. "JOHN!" Remi shouted as grab his shoulder.

"Rei is Fine and that's all you need to know" Surprising both Remi and Arlo.

"Your lying..." Remi thought as he notice that John is already gone and she cried out and blyke comforted her. Arlo then ordered every High Tier present to go and bring the student to the Infirmary.

JOHN POV

"YOU ARE A MONSTER!!! MONSTER! YOU BETTER JUST DIE! even if you heal them, even if you do good deeds, It doesn't change that fact that you're a MONSTER!!!!"

No one's POV

"Did you guys hear? That John is now the new King'

"Yeah, and also hear that he beat his entire class!"

"that's insane"

"Is it true? I still can't believe it"

"It's true I saw it with my own eyes"

"Yeah, The Royals can't even make a move"

"I wonder what Arlo and the others will do now that a secret High tier has been exposed" 

No one's POV

"So he finally snapped?" Vaughn says as he sighs while reading Keene's report about what happened earlier. 

"Should we suspend him, Headmaster?" Keene the head of the security says.

"That brat is a pain in the ass but at least he healed them," Doc says with his usual scary face.

The Headmaster is quite worried about John's behavior but he also knows that this is unavoidable and John can't be snapped without any reason. He read the paper once again and it tells that John snapped because the student ganged up on him and the shocking thing that happen is that the fight doesn't involve any abilities according to Keene's investigation.

"Are you sure about this Keene?" The Headmaster asked and he replied "Yes, I am sure of it" 

"Told you the kids dangerous, he has a lot of secrets that even us doesn't know," Darren thought out loud.

"Hmm?" The two look at him seriously and Darren sighs in defeat.

"Fine, remember his ability right?" he asks

"Yeah, It's called Aura Manipulation" Headmaster replies handing him John's file.

"So what are you trying to say is them not being able t use any abilities was because of this Aura Manipulation?" Keene asked.

"It's by the wort itself AURA, MANIPULATION" Darren pointed out as keen have a surprised look while Vaughn is still the same. "Low, Mid, High, and, God Tiers all have Aura to activate their abilities while the Cripples doesn't. So, If John can manipulate Aura then, does that mean that he could cancel them or at least deactivate them for a temporary amount of time?" Keene stated after understanding everything.

"So he doesn't just Copy and Amplify abilities, but also deactivate it, completely manipulating both his or his enemies Aura," Headmaster thought "But that doesn't explain how can John use Healing abilities without having any healers near," Darren says and Keene takes it from here. 

"Elaine was there but according to my observation and the students around, Elaine hasn't yet activated her abilities and for some reason, John instantly heal them without even battling any sweat" 

"What a Pain" Darren mumbled as he sighs and now that John is exposed, His Cripple acts will end and then more students will be sent to the clinic if they ever mess up with him. Keene just quietly laughs as he needs to do more jobs than now that John has been exposed and for Vaughn, he is just smiling, thinking about what the future Wellston will be.

No one's POV

Arlo and his men are currently holding a meeting between royals and some High tiers. Remi is the current Queen, Blyke with the title of Jack, Elaine the Healer, Cecile, and Isen of the Newspaper department.

"I don't like that guy! pretending to be a cripple for this long!" Blyke says as he read the files Isen gave them. Every last one of them has an utter shock. Cecile was just smirking all along which did not get unnoticed by Arlo.

"What are you smirking around, Cecile?"

"I'm just surprised that you called us here. This is the first time this happen, asking for our help I mean. So, I take that you are having a hard time dealing with this John guy" She says while reading the files about John. 

"Is that guy that strong? Where is that responsive guy who easily cracks down at every mess in this school and boasts of his powers being the Defence king?" Cecile sarcastically says as every royal looks at her praying that Arlo won't hit her.

"Cecile mind your manners" Arlo warned. "And what would you do? beat me up? Go, but that doesn't change the fact that you are scared of him!" Cecile says with her ingratiating smile while pointing at Arlo's knees who is shaking a bit.

"Arlo...

Arlo wanted to beat her up for saying such things but he also know that beating her up is only a waste of time and this will never solve the main problem. 

Remi who was just silent the whole time finally speaks "Arlo, I'm quite confused, is John a threat to our school? because I don't see it that way" While pointing to the paper Isen gave them.

"I didn't say that he is a threat" He reasoned.

"But showing this paper is proof that you are telling us that he is a threat," Blyke says while reading the reason why John has been expelled from New bostin. "Excessive violence" Arlo gritted his teeth and finally blurted it out.

"Fine, I see him as a threat to our school, claiming as a cripple even though he is secretly a High Tier, so I asked Isen to find anything about him!" Arlo shouted as he hold the paper Isen's research about John "And this is what he found. John Doe is High Tier, the two years he spent in this school were all a lie!" 

"I don't like some Unknown roaming into our school so here he is now exposed" Arlo finished as he glanced at both Isen and Cecile for publishing it without his order.

"Your not the king anymore so don't have any reason to accept orders from you," Cecile says as Arlo clenched his fist because it was right all along.

"Wa-wait what does it mean? John King? What's going on!" Elaine is confused as Isen sighs and replies to Arlo who glanced at him.

"The one who injured Arlo that day is John" It's Surprising even Blyke who didn't even believe it in the first place. "So what do you want us to do then, now that you are not the king?" he asked.

"..."

Arlo didn't reply since he doesn't know what to do anymore "Now that I'm no longer the king. The student won't follow me anymore, it's now up to all of you to keep John in check" Arlo stated looking at Blyke, Remi, The current Queen and Jack of school and the only Royal left.

"And don't let what happen in his previous school happened here" He finished as he seat on the chair. Pertaining about John beating his entire graduating class to the brink of hospitalization. 

"doesn't that happen here already?" Cecile asks as everyone remembers the previous event where he beat his entire class just for standing in his way and ganging up against him. 

"But John healed them so I don't see it as the way in his record," Elaine says. "That's true but we don't know and we're not sure when will we snap again and we need to avoid it at all cost!"

"No," Remi says surprising all of them.

"What are you saying, Remi? This is a serious matter so please stop acting like an airhead !" Arlo shouted but Remi doesn't care.

"He is hiding his abilities for this long and I'm sure he had some reason of sort. You provoked him and now you lose your throne, didn't you even think about why he even hide his ability in the first place?" She seriously asked as Arlo gulped.

"I...I didn't" He honestly says as he remembered Isen's warning on him to never provoke John. The atmosphere inside is getting messy so Remi sighs and speaks up again.

"I don't believe it will happen here. yeah, he beat his entire class but he healed them afterward, I also know that we can't let our guard down. And Seraphina is here, I'm sure he won't end up in the wrong way as long as she is with him" 

Arlo looked at her for a second, Isen who are sweating because the moment he step outside, he will die after publishing the article, same with Cecile. Blyke on the other hand is just thinking of a way to befriend John. He doesn't find him a dangerous person.

"You're right," Arlo says as he sighs in defeat. 

"And also, I'm going to talk to him," Remi said as he leave the room everyone stayed silent and worried at the same time.

Remi POV

Now that John is the new King, I need to talk to him about this system and what does he mean about "Rei is fine and that's all you need to know" She gritted her teeth while clenching her fist at the same time and swear that he is going to hit him if he is just messing around about what he says about Rei. 

No one's POV

Sera currently staying at John's home still waiting for him as suddenly I heard the door open. "Hey John, You're early today," she said as she notice a tall man who looks exactly like John.

The man looks again at the address "Did I write the wrong address?" he thought as Sera speaks up "Your John's Dad" notice how they look alike.

"Then, you must be Seraphina." The man says noticing the purple hair.

"It's great to finally meet you, Mister" She greeted shaking hands with him. "Please, call me William," The man says as she nods. 

"John talks quite a bit about you," Sera says 

"He does? Well, it's kind of embarrassing. Where is he anyway?" William asked as Seraphina told him that John was still at school and maybe on his way back now.

"Still...Why is John letting a girl stay at his home?" William asked surprised at the fact that he suddenly found a girl at John's home while Sera giggled. 

"I'm suspended after reading a book named Unordinary and John let me stay here. My suspension ends on Friday so I'll be moving back to my dorms by then" She replied as William nods.

William didn't realize that John and Sera were close. HE wouldn't give that book so easily especially now that it's illegal and all. "I'm surprised they didn't expel you" 

"They wouldn't get rid of me," Sera says with determination. "Kids this day, they all think they are the shit. John was the same, but he got kicked in the end.

"I guess John wasn't kidding when he said you were very powerful. He doesn't give out compliments. So, out of curiosity, out of the two of you, who is stronger? He asked looking confident while Sera is surprised.

"My ability is Aura Manipulation"  she remembers John saying that but she forgot to ask what does his ability is capable of. She suddenly smirked when an idea come up. 

"Maybe I should have a spar with him"

Wellston Rooftop

John was taking some fresh air to calm his head down when he noticed the door on the rooftop open. "John! We need to talk."

"On what?"

"About your next move, since you are now the King," She says but instead of getting happy he gets pissed. 

"Remi, I'm not interested in being a King"

"What do you mean by you're not interested in being a King?" Remi surprisingly asked because this is the first time she heard someone declining such a higher title who holds many privileges. 

John didn't even look at her as he talks. He was just standing facing the fence watching the students walk around, or beat each other around. "Didn't you understand what I just said?"

Remi gulped and replied. "I do but, 

"You are really stupid, aren't you?" Remi didn't respond to that instead she stared at him.

"Tell me Remi, Does the Hierarchy treat us equally?" He asked as Remi replies. 

"Uhm...I'm not sure," she awkwardly laughs as she turns her head to the side. John gestures for her to stand near him and she followed waiting for John to respond.

"Look," John pointed below them as Remi asks in confusion. "A-

"Zeke a high ranker yet he beat some low tiers and not just that, he also gang-up on them," he said pointing at Zeke and his friend beating a blue-haired boy which is a low tier at that.

"Mid tiers beating Low tiers, High Tiers beating both mid and low tiers. What do you think you Royals do...did you guys ever stop it? From what I can see you even encourage this. Always boasting about your powers and making any people do anything you want just because you are powerful." He finishes.

"You're wrong....we are doing our best to stop every unfair fight and we are trying our best to maintain the school safe!" she snapped.

"Then how am I seeing people beating each other on my way? Mostly mid-tiers harassing the low tiers and...me when I am acting as a cripple."

"There's not too many of us," She reasoned. John observed her and based on it, he could tell that Remi doesn't know a thing.

"What is Hierarchy, Remi?" he asked and she responded. "A system where everyone lived safely, I guess?" 

"A Hierarchy is a boundary stopping us from treating each other equally," John said as Remi just stared at him.

"She is still a kid," he thought as he turned around making his way out as suddenly Remi grab him. "Wait John, are you not satisfied with my answer?"

"Yeah I am, for this whole time, I was testing you if you are capable of helping me in the new system I will establish. A system opposite to Hierarchy, where everyone can live equally without any fear of getting backstabbed by anyone behind."

"And?"

"It's a no. Remi, you are still a child who does not know how this world works," he says.

"Rei told me that for you to believe, you must experience such situations first" he continues.

"You keep saying his name, is he alive?!" she shouted as he opens the exit. "Who knows..." he finishes leaving her on the rooftop alone.

"Why..." she thought as she run to the door ready to confront him again but he is not there anymore.

With John

He is texting a person on his phone named Rei.

Rei: "So how did it go?

John: "She is stupid. Don't even know what Hierarchy means. can't you believe this? She told me that Hierarchy keeps everyone safe. WTF!"

Rei: "HAHAHAHA, Calm bro. Please give her some time."

John: "Yeah, She is still a kid"

Rei: Anyway John, me, and Kuyo are going to hunt some bastard. Wanna come?"

John: You still don't quit after you almost died?"

Rei: ...

John: Nevermind, don't count me in. I have something important to do. Don't do anything reckless because this time I won't be there to save your ass.

Rei: HAHA don't worry I'll be careful.

John turn his phone off and teleported in front of his house only to notice that the door was open and his dad, William was there.

In the House 

"Dad! What are you doing here?!"

"What can't I visit my son?"

"You could've told me ahead of time!" John retorted.

"Huh? How? You hung up on me last week and Ignore all my calls afterward. Not just that, When I come here to see you, You've even got a girl living with you. You have some explaining to do John doe" William says crossing his arm.

"OHHH Busted," Sera playfully grin.

"Pssh, She's just here because she got nowhere else to stay for a week. Wasn't gonna leave her stranded outside," he responded looking away from his father's smirking face. "Ooh, suuure"

"and here I thought you finally get a girlfriend after years of getting obsessed with training your damn ability! She seems nice, I enjoyed talking to her, he sarcastically says.

"I'm still here," Sera says raising her arm with an amused smile on her face.

William smiled and ask John as he put his bag down. "So how,s school?"

John sighs and looks irritated. "Other than the fact that I suddenly become a King, Nothing too ordinary"

"Wait you become a KIng...AGAIN?!" 

"ahh! don't yell in my ear! and there's nothing to be surprised about that"

"Sir, here's  your water." Sera offered as William smiled and drank it.

"Y'know John, You better follow Seraphina's example. Your father visits you from a very far away place and you didn't even let me put my bag down, offer me some food or water, or even ask me if I'm tired or not."

John stares at him irritatedly. "HUH? If you're that tired then fucking rest, Old man!" 

Sera giggled at their interaction and wish that she also has this kind of family. 

"Anyway, I'm going to take a bath," John says walking to the bathroom. "Wait, John, I'll join you!"

"SHUT UP DAD! WAIT FOR YOUR TURN!!"

"Ahh, kids this day too shy to take with their parents. You don't need to be shy y'know, I'm your father," with a mischievous smile on his face he pushes the door open but John pushes him away.

"Shut up! I'm not a kid anymore!"

"But this way we could save more water"

"Shut up, Just get out!!" John shouted slamming the door shut leaving William and Sera outside.

"Why is he so shy, maybe he prefers a woman instead," William mumbled under his breath as he saw Seraphina silently laughing on the side.

"Oh, Seraphina you can call me Dad if you want,"  he says smirking at the idea of having a daughter-in-law.

"Stop that dad, I can hear you, very clear!"

"Oh John, don't be shy. You know when I was a kid I also allow your mom to sleep in my house even though we are not together and years later John doe was born," He stated with a laugh.

Sera just awkwardly laugh doesn't how to respond.

"Don't mix me with your love story, DAD!" Sera giggled and William notice it and whispered. "Do you want to know more about John?" Sera sweetly smiled and nodded.

With Remi

"Hierarchy?"

"For some reason, John doesn't like my response about it...

"Did I say something wrong?" She thought as suddenly a yell can be heard. "What's that?" I thought as I followed where the voice come from and the moment I got there, I saw Isen beating a Low tier and Mid-tier.

'Isen what are you doing?!" I demanded.

"oh, Remi. These guys don't want to give me information so...     before he could say more, Remi slapped him. "If you want information, ask properly, and if they decline then let them be!" she shouted surprising Isen as Remi turn back and leave.

As she walk around she could see students eating beaten up or harass. "Stop that! didn't you have class?!" she shouted as the students ran in fear.

"What is happening?" she asked herself as suddenly she notice a student was running away as a beam hit his leg. "Are you okay? Can you stand?" She worriedly asks.

"You piece of shit, I won't let you escape!" Blyke shouted in anger. He stopped his track as he notice Remi looking at him with the student in her arms.

"Blyke, what do you think you're doing?!"

"Oh Remi, That guy bump into me pouring milk on my uniform"

The man shouted back. "I apologize okay? What is it do you want?!"

"Huh? Don't shout at me, bastard!" Blyke yelled as he send the beam at the guy but Remi block it with her body.

"Re-Remi...I'm sorry," Blyke approached Remi. Before he could come near. Remi sends a lighting shock making him kneel in pain.

"You are a High-Tier, aren't you? He apologize, he accepted his mistake then why do you still hit him like you want to kill him? Blyke...answer me!" She shouted in anger, The injured man ran fearing that the two High-Tier will clash.

"We are supposed to bring order yet.,.what are you doing? Is it not our job to keep people safe?" Blyke can't even look at her face as tearful.

Since Blyke just stayed silent, Remi leaves from the third floor heading down to the first floor to leave as suddenly she bumps into Arlo.

"Oh, Remi. How's the talk with John? He didn't beat you right?" he asked. Remi notices Arlo's barrier on the side and a student is inside of it as Arlo shrinks the barrier down.

"Arlo, what's that?" pointing at the injured girl.

"Oh, this girl is talking to me so casually, asking me if I see Sir Rodriguez around. I'm a High tier so--

"A high tier...just because of that?"

"Remi?"

Remi is shaking as she ran away outside the Campus leaving Arlo confused.

"Mid tiers beating Low tiers, High Tiers beating both mid and low tiers. What do you think you Royals do...did you guys ever stop it? From what I can see you even encourage this. Always boasting about your powers and making any people do anything you want just because you are powerful"

"John...You're a High Tier but you're nothing like us, You treat others equally"

"Yeah, Just like what I did, but to do soo, you need allies that will support you or it will crumble in  the end"
