Chapter 1: chapters 1
Chapter Text
∞∞∞∞
It has been more than a year since Akihito and Asami decided to live together. It was not easy at first, but over time they have created a balance that seems to work for both of them.
∞∞∞∞
I open my eyes because of too much light coming in through the window. I'd like to stay over but I have an appointment with my boss, plus I have to take Asami shopping for suits. As if he doesn't have enough already! I reach out my arm and feel Asami's side is cold, as always after all. That workaholic always wakes up early.
As I eat breakfast, I think about how much things have changed for me in a way. Since I met the yakuza, my life is more chaotic and complicated than ever. I smile since I never imagined that I would live side by side with a man like Asami.
We did not start our relationship in a normal and simple way, and even now it is not easy but it is manageable. We are both stubborn and on many points of view we are completely different, but it seems that this contrast of ours is made good for being together.
Of course, there are things that to this day make me angry and annoyed such as the two bodyguards he has been placing on me for about a month, Eichi Miura and Isao Yoshiba, not even if I were the president. Asami is the one who needs protection not me, but let alone that possessive bastard taking them away from me.
Not to mention that the only times I've tried to make conversation with the two bodyguards I've received dry, cold responses in return. In addition, both are quick and I struggle to get them off my back. I sigh, thinking that I will have to get used to them. Looking at the time I see that I still have some time so I head for the bathroom to take a leisurely shower.

He was looking through the large windows in his office at the view, and a small hint of a smile appeared on his face. I wonder if Akihito has woken up yet. Last night he was insatiable and did not want to leave his kitten. The fact was that he couldn't get enough of the exuberant boy who was currently in their penthouse. Feeling that with his mind wandering, imagining the young blond man's body writhing under his masterful touches, he curbed his thoughts. At least I'll see him later.
Asami knew how much Akihito hated fancy stores and especially those in the Ginza district, but he didn't care. Every spare moment he wanted to spend it with his blondie, and why not, he could catch him in one of the private rooms there. He wouldn't admit it out loud, but he wanted Akihito's judgment on how he dressed. He knew he had style, especially since the clothes he wears are all designer and tailored, but he also wants Akihito to give his opinion because what he says matters to him.
He turns around and goes to sit in the black leather chair, thus beginning to work in earnest, wearing his business mask.
- "Kirishima"-said Asami without lifting his face from the documents he was checking.
- "Yes, Asami-sama?"- replied the trusty right-hand man, adjusting his glasses.
- "I want you to do a check on the head of this business."-he spoke coldly and directly.
- "Yes, sir."- and with these words the secretary, after bowing slightly, walked to his own desk and began to do the research.
Asami continued to look at the file and smiled devilishly at the idea that someone had tried to cheat him. If they thought I wouldn't notice anything they were sorely mistaken. With these thoughts he set the file aside and picked up another one.
∞∞∞∞
Akihito was deciding what to wear. He didn't want to wear his favorite jeans with a plaid shirt because the meeting with his boss would be held in the afternoon, and for now he just wanted to go out and be as comfortable as possible.
Come to think of it, it's been a long time since I've been jogging, or to put it better: I don't run like I used to. Since I've been with Asami and have two bodyguards on me all the time, I haven't gone out running like I wanted to. Not to mention that possessive bastard wouldn't let him go out either on foot or with his wasp but only with his imported cars.
Oof, that spoiled rich bastard. With this thought, Akihito put on a suit consisting of a pair of gray pants, a plain white T-shirt, and to complete the look, comfortable sneakers.
He went to the door and only then did he remember Eichi and Isao. The two guards looked at him and in unison exclaimed:
- "Hello Takaba-sama."- adding a slight bow.
Akihito hated the fact that both men called him that. A tried many times to ask to be called only Akihito, but as expected of all subordinates of the big yakuza, they obeyed only the big man. God what a nuisance, sooner or later I will have to convince Asami to be called by name, at least by my personal guards.
- "Hello!"- he replied a little annoyed. Looking carefully, he reflected that the duo could not accompany him to run dressed in suits. He laughed, thinking that he had never seen them differently, and no matter if it was a baking sun outside, none of them abandoned the black and white suit.
The two guards, seeing that the young leader was watching them and laughing, asked:
- "What is it Takaba-sama? Are you all right?"-
Akihito stopped laughing:
- "Yes yes everything is fine but I wanted to know if by any chance you could change your clothes."-
The two guards looked shocked:
- "Why? Is there something bothering you about our clothing?"-
Akihito felt a little guilty seeing how worried the guards were getting. Quickly he said:
- "No no it's just that I would like to go jogging and I guess you guys would come with me."- he saw the two leaders leaning a little having confirmation of what he was saying and added -"But I wouldn't want you to get these clothes dirty; so I was wondering if you could wear something more comfortable."- he smiled at the two guards.
They seemed surprised by the request but then asked the young man to wait in the attic five minutes. Just enough time to go change. Good thing both guards lived in the same building as Asami and Akihito. As soon as they were ready, they knocked on the door of Akihito's apartment and together all three went downstairs.
As soon as they were outside the building, Akihito stretched his arms upward and turned around, smiling at the two guards.
- "Are you ready?"-he asked in a voice full of energy.
The two guards nodded their heads yes, and Akihito began to run. Both guards hoped that Akihito would not try to run away. In their minds, running with the young man would be a good thing, so they could practice keeping up with the boy's pace, although so far they had succeeded well in their own, never losing sight of him.
∞∞∞∞
How nice! It's been a long time since I felt so free. Running for the sake of it, without a camera and without being chased.Priceless! I can't even remember the last time I felt so light.
The pace he was keeping was just a warm-up, though it didn't feel like it. Akihito ran and when his muscles were warmed up enough, he started the real race made of jumping over obstacles with all kinds of stunts, climbing walls, stairs and running, running, running.
Akihito smiled and cleared his mind, forgetting even about the two guards who were following him.
He loved feeling his muscles stretch, burn, seeing how the world spun when he did flips. He loved when he jumped and his feet didn't touch the ground or when he climbed a building as if he were a cat. One might think, seeing him, that he's a reckless, crazy guy, and maybe to some extent he is. But it is the feeling of having no limits that made him brighter than ever. It had been far too long since he had felt that way!
∞∞∞∞
Since they worked as the boy's bodyguards, they had learned to keep up with the young man. It was difficult and very tiring but eventually they were able to understand the boy's pace.
But today they realized that the boy had only been teasing them. Akihito seemed much faster and lighter. At first they had no difficulty keeping up with him but then the boy increased the pace madly. Without all the photographer's equipment and no worries, Takaba looked like a fusion of a cat's skills and a panther's speed.
Then the boy added acrobatics to the run. Akihito climbed up a wall with the help of a pipe to the roof of the building. The two guards looked at each other, and after the first shock, they followed suit even if more slowly. He seems much faster and more skillful than all the times we chased him.
∞∞∞∞
Akihito did not stop smiling at the feeling of the wind and clothes being pulled. He had climbed to a rooftop but soon after found himself back on the street. He loved climbing up and down buildings because the feeling that came out of it was that your body was capable of anything and was unstoppable.
Through leaps, jumps, spins, he found himself back on top of a building and when he finally felt that all his energy had been partly used, he decided to get to the edge of a roof and sit down. With both legs dangling, he looked at the city below him and what the view offered. He liked to climb rooftops because it gave him a crazy sense of adrenaline, and then from above things had a whole different color and look. He did not know how long he had been running and how far he had gone.
Akihito was enjoying the view in front of him with his hands resting on the small wall where he was sitting. He was wandering with his mind over the route he had run and smiled at the thought of some of the stunts he had done and the faces people had expressed. When his breathing returned to normal, he looked over his shoulder and felt a little guilty. He had totally forgotten that he was not alone, and he was sorry to see those two men drenched in sweat and breathing heavily, bent over his knees. Maybe I had gone too far.
- "Opss, sorry! I forgot about you two."- he said it a little guiltily and scratching his head.
When one of the two guards managed to get his own regular breathing back, he spoke:
- "Please next time don't forget us."- the guard gasped a little, needing to catch his breath to continue speaking -"I thought I had learned to keep up with your pace, but apparently I was completely wrong."- as he spoke these words he looked in the direction of the young leader who was relaxed compared to them. How is it possible that after all he has done today, he is so peaceful?
When Isao also finally regained the regular rhythm of his heart and breath, he began to speak.
- "It seems that until now you have been lenient with us and the other guards."- he uttered a little shocked and Akihito smiled embarrassedly.
- "Really? I don't think so. I've always run the way I could."- Akihito said as he stretched his whole back upward with his arms -"Maybe you think that because I usually have my cameras and have to be careful not to break them. Today, however, I didn't have anything on me and I wasn't in danger so I just relaxed and let my body go."- he said these words with a shy smile and a hint of apology.
- "We didn't think you could be so quick and agile, Takaba-sama."- one of the guards said.
Akihito apologized to both of them. It was not his idea to put the two men whom he considered almost friends with time, even though this was the first time they had a real conversation.
As all three were stretching, Akihito had wondered how long they had actually been running. He discovered that he had been wandering around the city for a good 40 minutes. Time goes by so fast when you do something that makes you feel comfortable.
He took a big breath and looked at the two bodyguards who had recovered. Smiling cheekily, he said:
- "Ready? Time to go back to the penthouse!"- he used an amused tone. The two guards did not even have time to retort that they would have preferred to call someone to pick them up, since Akihito had descended from that roof via an emergency ladder and was already among the people.
At that moment the two men decided that they would have to train more in running and also in jumping to be able to look after the young leader. But of one thing they were sure: the young man had vitality and energy to spare.

Asami was reviewing the 20th file when the message from Eichi arrived to inform him that Akihito had gone jogging and that they were returning to the penthouse.
The crime lord smiled smugly as he imagined the young man running through the streets of his city. He didn't like Akihito doing dangerous and reckless things but he knew the passion he had for running so as long as he didn't get hurt and leave the two bodyguards, he could accept it and let him do it.
He wrote to the guard to be careful and not to let him out of their sight.
As he finished sending the message he heard his right arm Kirishima, knocking twice before entering.
-"Asami-sama in five minutes you have the meeting with the officials to open the new place and then together with Takaba-sama you have to go to the clothing store for those garments he had ordered."- he paused briefly and as he began speaking again handed him a file -"This is the information you asked me to find on Amane Suzuki."-
Asami took the file from his hands and quickly read the information. As he thought, the man was a stupid and insignificant being who had dared to cheat him. He would let the man know who was in charge. For now he placed the charm back on the desk and stood up, putting on his jacket and heading for the meeting.
Kirishima saw Asami and knew that the information he had found was what his boss was looking for. To a normal person, the man with the golden gaze might have seemed calm, but the secretary knew there was displeasure behind that behavior. The man who dared to betray Asami Ryuichi would get his share of punishment that involved in the end as always, death.
∞∞∞∞
They had just returned from running. Eichi and Isao were in their apartments washing and changing while Akihito was in Asami's penthouse. He had just finished showering when he looked at himself in the mirror. His body was still the same, perhaps a little more muscular but only slightly. He was slim and in proportion to his stature.
As soon as his gaze passed from his body to his face, everything stopped. He looked straight into the hazel eyes and saw after a long time that that light coming from Akihito's more serene side had returned. How long had it been since I had had that look? Why hadn't I noticed that that spark was gone? He shook his head a little and returned to reality.
He quickly dried his blond hair and went to get dressed to meet with Asami and then went to his boss Takeda-san even though he did not know why. He had told him the day before that he had something important to tell him but that he preferred to tell him in person. Let's hope he doesn't want to fire me. Hello, I came out and of course the two men were already ready and impeccably dressed, who followed the young boss without opening their mouths.
At least we had a brief dialogue today. Maybe in time they will loosen up.

The meeting had been more challenging than he thought. There had been a discussion about what to sell at the bar and who would be the perfect clientele. Not to mention costs. But as always, in the end Asami got just what he wanted. There was a reason he was known as the "king of business."
Back in his office, he took out a cigarette and allowed Kirishima to light it for him. Afterwards, he poured a drink into his glass as he took a short break before resuming reading files and attending more meetings. At least he would soon have a break from all that and meet Akihito.
After inspiring the smoke, he very calmly asked:
-"Kirishima for when did you arrange the meeting with Amane Suzuki?"- while resuming the charm that had previously been placed back on the desk.
-"For tonight Asami-sama."- the secretary replied, putting the glasses back on his face.
After a moment of silence, Asami said:
-"Have warehouse number 3 prepared and make sure the man is alone. Tonight he will learn that it is never wise to steal money, especially if you are in my way."- at these words, the man took the glass of scotch and let the liquid inflame his throat.
-"As you wish sir!"- speaking these words, Kirishima bowed is exited the office. He only hoped that the chief's young lover had called that night to make sure Asami did not lose control. He shook his head wondering how boldly they would go against Asami. Only those who are seeking certain death, except Takaba of course. He smiled imperceptibly reflecting how things have changed since that blond brat came into their lives.
All the guards and staff thanked God every day for sending the young man into their lives. Both Suoh and Kirishima at first were convinced that he was one of many lovers and that after a few months the chief would get tired of him instead it seemed quite the opposite. He was different in that he did not care about the money or status that Asami had, but he cared about the yakuza as a person. Takaba was a young man who values people for who they are and not for what they possess.
The more time passed, the more it seemed that Asami wanted to monopolize Akihito. Every day he became more and more possessive toward the boy, but the bespectacled man hoped that this would not jeopardize their relationship. He had learned that the boy needed his freedom and space.
∞∞∞∞
He had just gotten into the car, one of the many cars the possessive bastard had in his garage. As soon as he was seated, he could not shake the feeling he had felt at the realization that he had missed that light in his eyes. Why am I still thinking about this?
He looked up out the window and rested his head on his hand. Akihito was thinking that he had really had a good morning and that it had been a long time since he had felt this peaceful. But after he had looked at himself in the bathroom, he wondered why he had not felt that way many more times in the past few months.
That feeling of peace and serenity reminded him of his life as a teenager. The time when he did the craziest things and when he was not afraid of anything or anyone. He was unstoppable and damn happy. He was like that before he met Asami. He shook him head. But what am I thinking about? He let out a sigh and continued to look outside as he made his way to Zion's offices where Asami was currently working.
∞∞∞∞
Isao was the one driving the car while Eichi stood beside him. Strangely, the young boss had gotten into the car without commenting that it was a luxurious or imported car. Stranger still, he had not tried to make conversation with them since they got into the car.
The two guards looked at each other, both amazed at that silence. It is not like Takaba-sama to be so silent. He seemed so full of life this morning, what happened then? Eichi realized that his comrade was having the same concern as he was, so he decided that he would put an end to that silence.
Turning to the leader, Eichi spoke:
-"Takaba-sama, are you all right? You look worried."- as he spoke these words he saw that the boy looked duller than he had seen him before.
Akihito jerked at the call because he was still deep in thought but after formulating what the guard had asked him, he smiled:
-"Yes yes, it's all right."- he spoke these words with little emphasis and then added -"And that I don't understand why I have to accompany Asami in him shopping. That then having only designer and custom-made clothes, why do we have to go to the Ginza store at all? Can't he have him garments delivered directly to the penthouse?"-he asked the guard.
-"I'm sorry Takaba-sama, but you'll have to ask Asami-sama"- he said in a firm, impassive manner.
Akihito huffed and crossed his arms over his chest; Asami knew how much he hated those stores full of rich, spoiled people.
∞∞∞∞
At first, both Eichi and Isao thought that the big man's mistress was a gold digger, but they were very wrong. Meanwhile, she was not a woman but a young man 10 years younger than the boss and was anything but a money, power, and status seeker. The boy was rebellious and brash and although he gave a lot of trouble for his escapades, with time you got to know and appreciate him. Takaba-sama was different from others, and this everyone learned.
He is kind, selfless, friendly and always full of energy. Where he is there is light and warmth. He gives highly of money and always cares about others. He is a thrill and adrenaline seeker but he is also smart and shrewd. But he is above all genuine with feelings and people.
As the bodyguard reflected on how he was getting to know the blond man and even in a sense understand him, through all the faces the boy made, he did not notice that they had arrived in front of the glass building where the great Asami Ryuichi worked.
∞∞∞∞
Akihito and Asami were inside the limousine that was driving them to the Ginza shopping district. Lunch had been a quiet affair for once. To say the blond was happy was an understatement. He really didn't like it there, and all those people who thought they were superior to others just because they had more money than brains made him nauseous.
Puffing, Akihito turned to Asami:
-"I really don't understand why you can't just tell the store manager to send you the new suits to the penthouse. What's more, we both know that you have a closet full of expensive, designer clothes and you don't need any more."-
Asami, after taking a drag from his cigarette, looked at Akihito:
-"It never hurts to have more clothes, even though I know you prefer me without them."- and in that instant he gave a mischievous grin toward his young lover who was turning a beautiful red color, but who was not contradicting him.
Akihito, after recovering, stated:
-"You are still the same perverted bastard man who thinks the world revolves around himself."- and looked away.
At this point Asami, who by now was enjoying teasing the young man, continued, getting closer and closer to Akihito:
-"It doesn't matter what you say because you didn't deny my statement anyway, and then tell me why you are getting color. Are you by any chance hot, my beloved kitten?"-
Having spoken these words, the yakuza took Akihito's chin and lifted it for a passionate, lust-filled kiss, but at the last he stopped. He liked to make his kitten wait and meanwhile lose himself in those hazel eyes. Akihito, who had not yet had the honor of having a kiss from the yakuza that day, decided that he had waited far too long and suddenly threw himself on Asami's lips.
A little surprised, Asami let him take the initiative.
Akihito, feeling resourceful, pulled him by the tie to deepen the kiss.
As his tongue explored his mouth, Asami's hands had already begun to roam under Akihito's shirt, causing him to begin to lose his grip on the older man's tie.
Sensing the lively reaction in Akihito's pants, and not just his own, Asami was about to tell Suoh to extend the ride by half an hour, when he was interrupted by the sound of the loudspeaker on the other end by Kirishima, warning him that they had arrived at the store.
Asami was very tempted to finish what his kitten had undertaken but then remembered that he still had a lot of work to finish and that he had an important meeting waiting for him in the evening, so he listlessly ended that moment, knowing, however, that it would have a sequel inside the store.
∞∞∞∞
But how long is Asami to try on stupid clothes? We've been here for more than 40 minutes and honestly I'm getting really sick of it. I better take a tour of this store in the meantime, which is bigger than I expected. I didn't even think it had private rooms where people could try on all the clothes they wanted. Obviously these people were not familiar with the normal, simple, fitting rooms.
Looking at the place, you could tell that it was highly prized because of the clientele that occupied the store: they were just businessmen, dressed in fancy suits and shouting out big money. Too bad about the staff. That one should learn to be discreet. Do they really think I didn't hear them whispering about my clothes? Or that I didn't notice the disapproving looks they were giving me?
After descending a flight of stairs and while crossing a floor where the fitting rooms were on the sides of the room with doors, he saw that the mirror for observing himself and the tailor were outside, in a common space where there were several work stations with a small mezzanine where the customer could better admire the clothes he was to buy. The room was well lit by large windows.
He was about to leave and head in another direction when he was attracted by a man who was coming out of the dressing room wearing a dark blue suit reminiscent of the sea. The guy in question along with the tailor were near a stained glass window so the sunlight was letting all the details of both the man and the suit he was trying on shine through.
He did not want to eavesdrop but heard perfectly what the man in the suit said to the tailor:
-"I don't know if this color suits me. I wouldn't want it to make me look darker. And that I would like to look my best since I have a very important dinner to attend this evening and I would like not to convey that I am a cold man."-
- "I think the suit looks good on you. It slims his figure and because of the little lighter blue stripes, it also gives his face more radiance."-
He did not know why he had felt the need to step in and make the man feel that he looked really good dressed in that blue. He did not even notice that he had come so close to the man until he saw the color of his eyes and there he stopped.
He had never seen eyes as distinctive as those. They were an intense sea blue color, almost black but they had a sparkle in them. That spark that I had lost. As he continued to observe the man's gaze, the man looked at him in turn and asked:
- "Do you think so, sir?"-
Recovering himself, he smiled and replied:
-"I think this dress looks very good on you. It fits his eyes perfectly and gives his more light. Plus, you don't have to worry because with this suit it conveys that you are a man of a certain level, with character and style but at the same time also a certain human warmth. He does not have to worry, he will not look like a cold man at all."-
Having said these words, he turned and walked out of the room but before he was too far away, he could hear the man with the sea-colored eyes say to the tailor:
- "I really think I'll take this suit."-
And unknowingly a smile appeared on his face.
∞∞∞∞
Asami was trying on a black suit with a black vest and a white shirt. As soon as he left the room, he thought he would meet Akihito's eyes but instead found himself in front of an empty sofa.
Frowning, he took out the cell phone in his pocket and texted Kirishima, who was on the ground floor, to go upstairs and look for Akihito. At least he could give notice that he would be out and about.
Asami would never admit out loud that it bothered him to know that Akihito was so bored with shopping with him that he preferred to wander around the store when the only thing that mattered at that time and place was himself, Asami Ryuichi.
But when he found him he would teach him what his priorities were, and in that instant a predatory smile appeared on his face.
Tired of waiting he decided that he would go himself to find him.
∞∞∞∞
Akihito was returning to Asami's room when he slipped backward on a rug. As he was approaching the floor, he noticed that someone had grabbed his wrist and was pulling him up. He bumped into something and as soon as he looked up he saw dark blue eyes watching him, not realizing that in order to catch him, accidentally the man, with his right hand, had slightly lifted the shirt on Akihito's side brushing against his skin.
∞∞∞∞
After the young stranger's advice, the man had decided to opt for the dark blue suit with lines of a more sparkling blue.
Ever since he had met those hazel eyes, he could not help but think of that boy. Something had been very attractive to him. For starters, he was not dressed like everyone else in that store in a suit, but wore simple lightened jeans, a white T-shirt underneath, and an open black and gray checked shirt. He wore comfortable, practical shoes.
As he stood in front of the mirror, he had not noticed that along with him and the tailor was another man, but then he suddenly heard his voice. A warm, jovial voice, without that haughty tone or of one who thinks he knows more than others. As he spoke he had not taken his eyes off him, but the words he used were those of a person who was paying attention to details and that when he observed a person he saw that person as a whole: not superficially, but in every little part.
He was getting dressed in his usual clothes, that is, gray short-sleeved T-shirt, black pants, black sneakers and a leather jacket, but his mind was still stuck on the encounter from earlier. Now that he thought about it they looked about the same style and both looked like two men in an unsuitable store.
Heading downstairs to pay the bill and exit the store, he saw someone slipping backwards. Before the individual hit the ground, he managed to grab his wrist and pull him toward himself, stopping the fall.
As soon as he lowered his gaze to see who it was, he met those hazel eyes. Unlike before, he could now literally mirror himself in them and could see every detail of that mysterious face. Look at that beautiful surprise.
∞∞∞∞
-"Are you all right? Are you hurt?"- he asked the man in a voice veiled with concern.
Akihito, who was still processing what had just happened, did not immediately respond. The man was getting more and more worried and was about to speak when, from down the hall he heard a cold voice say:
-"Take your hands off him immediately."-
When the unknown man looked up, he saw that the voice came from a tall man with black hair and golden eyes. The face showed no emotion, but the look could kill you. Behind him he saw two other men dressed in bodyguard suits.
Through it all, Akihito was still in the stranger's arms and finally found his voice again:
-"Thank you so much for saving me. I'm fine, thank you."- meantime he got to his feet and stepped back from his rescuer.
Asami headed in their direction, but Akihito had not yet noticed.
-"Don't worry, in fact, I should thank you for helping me pick out the suit"- the stranger reassured him, with a smile.
-"No problem, I like to help out when I can. I'm glad I could be of help and I hope I wasn't indiscreet."- he scratched his head slightly, embarrassed.
Before he had the pleasure of introducing himself, Asami had joined them.
-"What are you talking about?"- the question was not particularly directed at anyone, but from the way he looked at the young man he could tell he was asking Akihito.
For his part, Akihito, after realizing from his lover's tone of voice that he was getting nervous, said quickly:
-"But no big deal, I have sol--"- he could not finish the sentence.
-"This guy just gave me an opinion about my new suit"- the other man said, however, making Asami even more irritated.
-"A I didn't know you had become a fashion consultant, or that you knew anything about it."- he uttered the words, looking Akihito straight in the eye.
Oh shit! Akihito didn't know what was wrong with helping someone but Asami needed to calm down right away before he exploded.
So he waved goodbye to the man and started to head toward the room where Asami's clothes were. The golden-eyed man, understanding Akihito's intention took his hand and pulled him close to him. Turning and looking at the other man, he placed his arm around the young man's waist to let the other know whose boy he was. Slipping his hand under the already slightly raised shirt, he began to boldly tickle the young lover's back, who in response emitted a small moan that was not low enough as everyone in the hallway could hear it.
∞∞∞∞
Asami and Akihito headed for the exit with the man immediately behind them. The atmosphere had become a bit awkward for Akihito after what Asami had done and he did not feel like talking to him because he had acted like a child, but neither did the man because of his embarrassment. They walked out the door and he and the stranger greeted each other with a bow of the head as they parted.
As they waited for the limousine to arrive he turned to look at the mysterious man as he was pulling away, wondering if they would see each other again. I don't know why, but something about him kind of enchanted me. Maybe it was the eyes or maybe it was his voice, but surely the man was a guy who was hard to forget.
As soon as the car that would take Asami to his office and Akihito's car that would take him to his employer arrived, the two parted with a simple "see you later."
∞∞∞∞
As soon as he got into the car, Asami's face took on a somber, calculating look. He felt that something was about to change, and he hated not knowing what. Not to mention that an image had fixed itself in his head: the stranger's hand on his Akihito's hip. Akihito is mine. Only I can touch his skin. Next time, I will cut off the hand of anyone who even tries to touch his skin.
What's more, he hadn't even managed to fuck him as he had planned, which added to his ill humor. All the bastard's fault and the fact that Akihito was too bored...but he still found time to give advice to a stranger!

Kirishima and Suoh were both silent, but in their heads was the same thought: neither of them liked what happened in the store. Not only because such a thing had put their boss in a bad mood, but also because they had both noticed how Akihito and the mystery man had looked at each other.
One thing was certain: they would not allow anyone to interfere in the story between Asami and Akihito, and above all, they would protect their only source of light and hope.

The building where Akihito works is simple. There are five floors and each floor is dedicated to a specific section of the newspaper. At the entrance were two couches with a small round glass table in the middle, and further on is the secretary's station, where people announced themselves.
∞∞∞∞
Akihito and his trusty bodyguard headed straight for the elevators since Takeda's office was on the third floor. The young man was a little worried because he had not yet found a plausible excuse for Eichi's presence with him. Ever since he set foot in the building, everyone had been fascinated by the man dressed in black and white, completely ignoring his presence.
The blond man looked up to observe the man. He wore black hair, short and combed back; behind dark glasses were green eyes and a face, contoured with well-defined features. The photographer thought the man could model with the physique, face and height that expressed all his charm.
Returning his mind to the present, he noticed that the doors had opened. With a great sigh he stepped out of the elevator and a little farther down a corridor walked toward a door that was adorned only with a plaque inscribed: office of Takeda Matsumoto.
He turned to the man behind his back and looking him straight in the eye, said:
-"Eichi I ask you to stay out here. Can you, please?"- he asked more as a plea than a favor.
-"I'm sorry Takaba-sama, but the orders are that you remain under my watch at all times."- he spoke these words firmly and concisely with that face that showed no emotion.
Akihito was really angry. He could not even talk to his boss alone. I'm not giving up this time. After regaining his composure, he stated:
- "Listen. One, your job is to protect me from thugs not innocent and good people. Two, I just need to talk to Takeda-san who is like a father to me and certainly wouldn't start threatening me or anything like that. Three, it is not normal for a freelance photographer and journalist to have a bodyguard with him, so you will now stand outside this door and wait. Got it!"- as he spoke these words his eyes lit up and his gaze was reminiscent of the flames of a fire.
He is determined and will not let go. But he is right, we are in a safe place. Eichi was pondering and realized that in any case, if he went in as well, he would anger the young leader even more. He agreed to the blond man's request and shortly thereafter turned with his back to the door to make sure no one entered. Akihito smiled and putting a hand on the guard's arm, gratefully said a thank you and knocked on the door. As soon as he had permission to enter he opened the door and closed it behind him.
∞∞∞∞
The room is not very large but there is enough room for a desk, two chairs in front of it, a two-seater sofa in the left corner, and, on the right wall, a bookcase. The office is lit by a large window that allows the sun's rays to enter unobstructed.
∞∞∞∞
His boss was sitting behind the desk and holding a cup of coffee. As soon as he saw the boy he smiled and offered him a seat. They had been working together for five years now, and in that time a good friendship had developed, more of a bond like between father and son, really.
-"So Akihito"- exclaimed the older man with a smile -"thank you for coming. I think by now you've heard all around the office that there's a rumor that there's going to be a new director."- he looked him straight in the eye.
-"Finally the cranky old guy is going away. I just hope the new guy has a more open mind."-
-"I'm sure he won't let you down. I have already met him once with the other heads of the various departments, and he is an interesting guy. But today Akihito I also wanted to dirt..."-
-"Who is he? What do you know about him? Have I met him before? Is he nice? Do you think he would like to see pictures of me? What do you mean by an open mind? So? ... Speak up!"- Akihito wasn't looking forward to it anymore. Finally some change in the monotonous life he was having.
Takeda began throwing paper balls at him to get his attention and shut him up.
-"Akihito if you don't start shutting up, I'm going to throw you out of here and I won't tell you any more."- seeing that the young man had finally calmed down, he resumed the conversation -"As you know I've already met the new boss and after talking, he told me that he planned to get to know his new employees better and in the end we decided on a dinner this evening at a very chic new restaurant. "-
Akihito did not know what to say.
-"Eh? Why on earth did you wait until now to tell me? While you were there you could have called me directly during the dinner...I don't know, you see. "-
-"Chin up Akihito"- he smiled, picked up a sheet of paper, and began to casually analyze it -"We both know that if I had warned you earlier you would have found something to do to get away from this dinner. So now go home and start finding something to wear."- as he spoke these words he was looking at the clothing of the young man in front of him.
Akihito called on all his self-control not to walk out the door yelling that he always dressed appropriately and that he didn't care if the new boss was a snob. He took a big breath and wading into the traitor in front of him said with a smile:
-"All right, you win this time. Have a good day."- you could hear the sarcasm leaking out of every single syllable. He turned on himself.
-"I wish you well, too, and see you this evening, my dear."- said Takeda's quiet voice.
As soon as he left the office, Akihito and Eichi set out to return to the car. On the way, Eichi had noticed that the boss's temper had become more frustrated and angry and vowed to himself that he would find out the cause.
Seeing the time and knowing that he still had some time, Akihito decided that he would touch up a couple of photos to calm himself down before he started preparing for the big dinner.

Asami decided to take a short break and read from Eichi's report that they had just left the building where the boy worked. He was bored and missing his kitten, so he picked up his cell phone to call him while lighting one of his cigarettes.
On the third ring the boy answered:
-"Hello Asami, to what do I owe this great honor?"- Akihito uttered these words in a cheeky and amused manner.
-"I was wondering what you were doing."-
-"Nothing in particular right now. But tonight..."- Akihito began in a flirtatious tone -"I will have the pleasure of meeting a charming businessman"- he said ambiguously.
-"Sorry, but I have work until eight o'clock and a meeting that I don't know how long it will last, so you'll have to wait."- he stated flatly and contritely, partly because he would much rather spend his time with the brat than at a boring business meeting. At least I will have fun with someone tonight. Asami was already thinking about what kind of torture he would use on Amane Suzuki.
Akihito brought him back to reality:
-"But I wasn't talking about you, you're not the center of the universe, although I know you don't think so."- he said in a playful voice.
-"We both know that I am the ONLY man in your life."- he said it in a cold, threatening tone.
Akihito wanted to continue teasing him, but hearing the change in his tone of voice decided to tell him about that night's dinner.
After Akihito's explanation, Asami had become strangely silent.
-"All right, have fun"- he said in an apathetic voice.
Akihito was beginning to worry slightly.
-"Why are you angry now?"-
-"I don't know what you're talking about."-
-"Look it's not like it's going to be a romantic dinner, he's going to be surrounded by a lot of important men while I'm going to be in the corner talking to my friends."-
Asami reflected on the words and found it to be true. He had attended many such dinners. Knowing Akihito's position in the company, he would never get to talk to his boss except for a courtesy greeting and nothing more. Who knows why I had felt uncomfortable hearing about this very stupid dinner.
-"Don't worry kitten, I was so quiet because I was imagining what your after dinner will be like."- he said this in a voice that hinted far beyond the unspoken words.
Akihito not expecting those words, blushed. Good thing he can't see me.
-"Fool that you are. We'll be in touch. Bye!"- and ended the call.
Asami looked at the phone and smiled imagining her kitten's face but then a frown appeared on his face. It's just dinner. There is nothing for him to worry about however it seemed strange to him that neither Kirishima nor Suoh had alerted him to a new arrival in the company where Akihito worked. Since he was with the young man he always kept an eye on possible changes or new arrivals. Yet I heard nothing about a new manager. My people had better be able to explain why and that it was valid. He didn't know why but felt that this new person would change things. Impossible, if something was happening I would know, right? He shook his head and with one last tug, put the phone back in his pocket and started working again.
∞∞∞∞
I had better enjoy my remaining afternoon in peace and quiet.
It was now almost evening and Akihito had just finished editing some photos. During his free time, he had flipped through an old album to reminisce about past times. He had settled on the terrace since there was a nice warm sun.
He was still holding a photo of him and his two best friends Kou and Takato. It had been taken when they were about 15 years old and it was one of those days when they had gone to the motocross tracks. Such good times. I miss being in the saddle. God, what an adrenaline rush when I started the engine and whizzed around. Why did I stop? A yes right, Asami would not approve.
He sighed. He looked up and for the first time since he had met Asami, reflected on what being with a yakuza had entailed. He didn't know why right now he was thinking about the life he had before he met the older man either, but the more he thought about it, the more he realized that he had begun to put aside many of his passions.
He reflected on the fact that he used to act on instinct and that if he had an idea or wanted to try something, he would just do it. Now, most of the time he had to ask permission from the man with whom he shared the attic. He felt a feeling of pressure rise in his chest. I'd better not think about it now. It's normal sometimes to feel nostalgic, right? But is it really nostalgia? Akihito shook his head, put the album away, and turned off all the lights. He had already thought too much for today.
He lay down in the king-size bed, and as he relaxed for a moment a smile appeared on his face when he thought back to the morning. When he had felt serene and free more than ever. He couldn't help but think that he had done really well in choosing to go for a run. I can't wait to do it again. He turned his head to see the time on the nightstand and saw that it was time to get ready for that darn dinner for the snobby, overly chic new boss.
After a shower, he stood in front of the closet he shared with Asami and reflecting that, for once he had to be stylish, Akihito decided that he would dress well while still remaining himself.
He got some fairly tight-fitting black pants and, finding no shirts among his clothes, borrowed one from Asami. Since it was too big, he tucked the end of the shirt into the pants and rolled up the sleeves. To complete the look, he decided to open the first buttons of the shirt, and add metal chains to the waistband of the pants.
As he removed the chains from their holder, he also found his favorite earrings. I haven't worn these in a long time. Since they matched the chains on his pants, he decided to wear them along with a pair of rings linked together with a chain. He also found one of his particular bracelets, one with two cuffs used to close the bracelet is he thought would be an interesting addition.
He looked at himself in the mirror. The outfit was fine, but it seemed to him that something was missing. He decided to look again among his accessories, and found a necklace with a padlock, which he put on. He slipped on some not-too-high black amphibians and stood in front of the mirror once more and was proud to see the old Akihito again.
He felt complete.
He took his coat, put it on, and walked out, followed by his trusty bodyguards.

Restaurant
He had arrived a few minutes earlier than everyone else since he had to set an example and normally never arrived late, at most always early, for a dinner or meeting.
He was looking at the venue he had booked for this occasion: it was a place that was not too elegant but still chic. The colors that shaped the room were white and blue with a hint of silver.
It was not too crowded and there was a small partition between each table to give an idea of privacy while still remaining an open place.
The table he was sitting at here was next to large windows that gave a spectacular view of a lawn adorned with colorful trees and plants, and farther back you could see the lights of the city.
Returning to why he was there, he cast a quick glance at his watch. They should be arriving shortly and I will finally meet the individuals I will be dealing with. Hopefully they will be capable and friendly people, and not dull or stupid and time-wasters.
He had chosen a dark blue suit with lines of a more sparkling blue for the occasion. Who knows who that guy was. Ever since he had left that store, all he had been thinking about was that young blond, hazel-eyed man. There was something about him he could not decipher. He hoped to see him again, to run into him as he took a walk around town.
Many people, looking at him, might think he was one of those many businessmen in Japan, who has few feelings, is reserved, has a closed mind, and does not appreciate jokes. How wrong they are. If only they would look beyond what they want to see.
He certainly wasn't crazy about pinstripe suits but preferred jeans, T-shirt, and sneakers; that didn't mean he didn't know how to dress or be stylish. He had no problem wearing suits to important dinners; at work he liked to be comfortable but at the same time was appropriately dressed to convey that he was the one in charge.
As soon as he saw the hands mark 7:30, he looked up and stood waiting for the leaders of the various departments to join him. The next half hour passed quickly between chats, and in the meantime he was getting a feel for these sub-executives of his. Many of these he found boring, while others he could see the brilliant minds they were, such as Takeda Matsumoto.
He was talking to the latter when finally at eight o'clock the other employees began to arrive.
Looking at the people, suddenly his gaze locked on the back of a young man. It can't be! But that blond hair is unmistakable and so is that voice. He stood up and not knowing why, began to walk toward the young man who was still turned away and had his back to him.
He was about to speak when the young man finally turned around, walking right into him. Again!
-"Oh sorry, I didn't see you"- the young man spoke these words politely.
-"It's okay, it's okay."- as he uttered this sentence, he met his gaze.
-"Ooooooh. You? What are you doing here? Don't tell me you are-"- hir voice rose a tone with each word.
Realizing what was happening, Yuma decided to calm the somewhat awkward young boy:
-"Breathe. It's okay and yes I am your new Boss."- seeing that the boy was still stunned and not speaking, he continued -"If you were wondering if we have met before, the answer is yes. We met this morning and you yourself recommended this outfit to me so that I wouldn't look like too cold a man."- finished speaking he smiled at him.
∞∞∞∞
Akihito didn't know what to say. It can't be! Not him! Or heck!
Akihito had managed to arrive at a decent time thankfully. The lights were still on and people were still arguing with each other. He had also managed to leave his guards outside the hall, so they didn't stand out among the ordinary tall employees, and most importantly, he didn't stand out too much.
He had to admit that the place was cozy and not too snobby as he thought. As he followed his colleagues to the table reserved for them, he noticed that it was near some large windows that he could not help but appreciate.
He quickly passed his gaze over those already seated, and taking a quick glance he had recognized the various directors and other colleagues, but had not seen any new faces. Perfect! The new boss is already being waited on. Already at his first dinner and he doesn't even know what punctuality is!
He was still shaking his head when he headed for the clothes hanger while taking off his black coat. There he began to have a little conversation with a friend of his named Naomi, and when they were both ready to go find their seats, it happened.
He had turned around so quickly that he did not realize there was someone behind him. He quickly excused himself when he heard a familiar voice. He looked up and recognized that face.
It couldn't be him!
He could not look away when suddenly endless questions erupted in his while. What is he doing here? It's not the new boss, is it? Impossible, just a coincidence. As soon as he found his voice he expressed those questions but was hyperventilating.
He, being able to understand his discomfort spoke in that so fluent and friendly voice, explaining that indeed he was his new boss, and was confirming to him that he remembered what had happened that morning.
As soon as the new boss smiled at him, Akihito no longer knew what to do or think. It was as if in that instant it was just the two of them, like that morning when they had met twice and this was the third time. Every time he looked at him or heard his voice, everything else disappeared, but he could not explain why.
He was about to speak when he was brought back to reality by his supervisor, Takeda:
-"I just wanted you to know that dinner is about to begin and that everyone should take their seats."- and turning his gaze to the fascinated man he continued -"I see, boss, that you have already met one of the best photographers on my team: Takaba Akihito."- he laid a hand on his shoulder.
-"It's a pleasure to meet you, Takaba Akihito."- his new boss extended his hand to shake it and despite his embarrassment took it from him- "I am Yuma Kobayashi."-
Akihito was about to reply that he was honored to meet him, but he did not have time as their attention was called by the waitress who was about to start serving the dishes.
Dinner went well. Akihito had not expected to have such a good evening. By now everyone was heading home, so he said goodbye to everyone and headed for the penthouse.
As soon as he got into the car, his bodyguards asked him how dinner was, and he unexpectedly replied with a smile:
-"It couldn't have been better"- and with those words he turned his gaze and watched the scenery flow by behind the window.

Asami had just finished reviewing the latest files. Now he had dinner and then he could finally deal with a pest who had dared to challenge him, robbing him. When he was done with him as well, he could finally go home.
He had received from the guards that Akihito's dinner had all gone well and that he was now returning to the penthouse.
I look forward to seeing you Akihito. Sleep while you can. With that thought, he got up and together with Kirishima and Suoh, headed to an expensive and fancy restaurant for a silly business dinner. If it were up to him he would have given up but being a man of his word, he always keeps his promises.
∞∞∞∞
Warehouse 3
It was about eleven o'clock in the evening when Asami along with his two most trusted guards, Kirishima and Suoh, stopped the limousine in front of Warehouse n°3. He dismounted with his graceful elegance and buttoned his tailored black coat. As commanded, there were men all around the perimeter of the building.
Many guards had heard of their leader's punishments but had never witnessed them in person so they hoped they were not too bloody. The door opened and everyone bowed to the entrance of the golden-eyed yakuza and no one dared to meet his gaze. They are all afraid, all right. At least they know who's in charge. There was no noise in the warehouse other than the rumble of the crime lord's fancy, shiny black shoes echoing with every step. Without dignifying anyone with a glance, he headed directly to a single black leather chair with a small table beside it. Above it was a glass and bottle of scotch.
Their guest would be arriving any moment so calmly the crime lord took off his trench coat and handed it to Kirishima, who carefully folded it and placed it on the back of a chair that stood nearby. Then as his boss sat down, he took the alcoholic bottle and poured its contents into the glass that already had ice cubes inside.
Asami couldn't wait to finish since she had been waiting all day to see his beloved kitten again. Akihito was like a drug for him, he could never get enough and if he went too long without seeing him he became more frustrated and irritable. As he was wandering with his mind over a certain photographer the warehouse door opened.
∞∞∞∞
Amane Suzuki did not even have time to cross the threshold of the door when two men grabbed him by the arms and carried him into the middle of the room. He panicked a little as he did not expect such treatment. Then he was frightened when his arms were tied together and also his legs.
A guard made him raise his joined arms and connected them to a chain that hung from the ceiling. The man found himself standing with his arms tied and hanging overhead. To say he was frightened was an understatement. Raising his head, he met a cold, piercing gaze. The gaze of Asami Ryuichi, the most powerful yakuza in all of Japan. He swallowed. Oh, shit!
∞∞∞∞
Asami, after taking one of his cigarettes into his mouth and lighting it, paused for a moment to look at the pathetic man in front of him.
-"Hello Amane-san, we finally meet. If I am not mistaken, this is the first time we are meeting live."- he spoke these words calmly and without letting out any emotion. He might have sounded polite, but everyone in the room knew that when the boss did that he was anything but polite, and the man hanging there would learn that very soon.
The wretch who did not realize the anger that actually exuded in that voice, with a short breath and a hint of a smile, decided to respond.
-"Yes Asami-sama this is the first time we have met."- after a short pause he continued to speak -"I would like to know what is going on and why your men have chained me."-
At that statement Asami's eyes turned a darker tone. Kirishima observing him shook his head. It does not look good for the man, not at all.
-"I, on the other hand, think that you know about why you are here and why I wanted to meet you in person."- he took a sip of scotch and continued -"But since I see that you need a refreshment, I will be glad to help you."- and bowed his head to the two looks.
Suddenly his stomach was hit by a series of punches. Not expecting them, Amane-san tried to bend over but could not. He was terrified now and it was evident from his pale, sweaty face. Asami at that sight, smiled. He is already collapsing, too bad this is only the beginning. With a show of hands the two guards stopped and moved to the side of the man who was still panting.
-"Amane-san you are the accountant of one of my companies and you have been working for me, or rather working, for five years now. In this regard you know that I have very simple rules that I want my staff to follow to the letter. So I am giving you the opportunity to tell me what you did and why."- the voice was too quiet as he spoke these words. The poor man's gaze looked shocked.
-"Asami-sama I don't know what you are talking about."- and just then he received another barrage of punches and not only to the stomach but also to the face.
-"I repeat: You have one last opportunity to confess what you have done. I am feeling charitable today."- and at this statement a threatening flicker crossed his face.
-"I really don't know what that means. Please let me go!"- he pleaded panting and writhing in pain he was not used to.
Asami smiled and stood up to head toward the man. Another guard took Amane's hair in one fist and pulled his head back so his gaze could confront the yakuza's golden eyes.
-"You know, the thing I can't stand most besides those who dare to betray me are men like you who are liars and thieves. Did you really think I wouldn't notice that in the reports you transcribed, not insignificant amounts of money were missing?"- and now his tone had turned into a snarl -"I gave you a chance to admit your mistake but I see you didn't take the chance. Now you will learn what it means to rob me."- and with that he returned to his seat.
Amane stood in disbelief at the words he had just heard. And as he wandered with his mind to understand how the powerful man had managed to discover his wrongdoing, he did not realize that one of the men around him was now holding an iron club.
Suddenly there was the sound of air moved through the mace and the clatter of broken bones. Amane screamed from the excruciating pain that was surely coming from his broken knee. He cried, even though he knew it was not manly behavior. As soon as he caught his breath, he looked at the leader.
-"Please Asami-sama stop! I promise it won't happen again."- he said in a sobbing voice.
Asami became increasingly frustrated with the useless being in front of him. He had another man approach and asked him in his ear to gag the culprit when he would give the order. The guard bowed and went to stand next to the ill-fated man.
-"Amane-san you have not yet realized that you will not get out of here alive. He will prove what it means to betray me, cheat me and rob me. And I promise you that he will beg me to kill you but you know, he could have thought of that before."- and he took another sip of the liquid he had in his glass.
The prisoner was about to counter, but the guard, after looking at the leader, came up to him and covered his mouth. Only muffled screams and sobs could be heard. To see the man stripped of his pride and to hear his bones breaking was indeed a great sight for the yakuza. After the man had passed out about 3 times from the pain, Asami decided to end it all. It's time for me to go back to my Akihito.
With that thought he drew his gun, approached the now badly wounded body and shot straight through the man's head. Looking at Suoh he ordered him to clean it up and throw the body overboard. He put on his trench coat and together with his right arm, Kirishima, headed home. At that thought his gaze softened slightly. Kitten get ready I'm coming.
