It was almost dinner time when Xiao Zhan heard his parents, their pack leaders, fighting over something. Xiao Zhan immediately went inside of their mansion to stop his parents. 

“Mother, Father.” He greeted them which made the two stop and look at him.

“Zhan.” His mother gently said which made him raise his eyebrows. He may have felt love from his mother but he certainly hasn't heard his mother speaking to him this gentle. No, she wouldn’t call him this gentle.

“What’s the matter?” He asked which made his parents look at each other. His father, still shaking his head, while his mother faced him again.

“Zhan… o-our pack is weakening.” Xiao Zhan knows about this. He knows, he can feel that their pack is weakening but he did not say anything, knowing that his parents could solve these problems, but it seems like he’s wrong. His parents cannot solve this problem.  

“The Sui are constantly threatening us, they will attack us, anytime soon.” Zhan held his mother before sighing. He can feel it already. 

“What should I do?” He sternly said. Being an alpha, his mother will always tell him not to be weak, there is no room for weakness when you are destined to lead the pack and you must do everything you can do to protect it.

“H-huh?”

“Mother, I’m no fool. I know I need to, no, I have to do something for the pack, so what is it?” 

“W-we need the Wang family, Zhan. I talked to them, they can offer protection but we need to offer something in return.” The Wang family? Zhan had to laugh. Of course, of course. The Wangs won’t offer something without anything in return. The Wangs don’t do favors. He knows them. Who wouldn’t? They are one of the most powerful packs, aside from their family, that is now weakening.

“What should we offer?” He asked. Almost ready to get something that the Wangs wanted.

“They… they want a marriage alliance.” With that, Zhan stopped — couldn’t believe what he just heard. A marriage alliance? He is the only child of the family, so of course, he must be the one to get married. 

“Mother.” He called his mother when he realized something. “The Wang family only has one heir and he’s an alpha too.” 

“Zhan… tha-that’s the problem.” 

“Mother, they must want something aside from a marriage alliance.” He said, almost desperate when he realized that the Wangs only have one heir. He doesn’t care about the marriage alliance at first, but an alpha for a husband? No way. No fucking way.

“They don’t.” His mother said. 

“Mother, the heir is an alpha!” He said, again, but this time he can’t help but raise his voice. He never did that before. 

“Zhan… you need to do this. They can offer protection for us. If we’re not desperate for protection, do you think I will agree?” 

“We’re both alphas. We—,” Zhan wasn’t able to finish what he was supposed to say when his mother turned her back at him— signaling that she won’t have any discussion with him. Zhan sighed heavily before turning his back too to go to his bedroom. He needs to think about this. He should.

“It’s time for dinner.” Zhan’s train of thoughts got interrupted when one of the maids called him. It was Qi Xiuying, she is an omega and good — an excellent companion in bed. He once accompanied the lady during her heat and he can say that she is very knowledgeable in pleasuring a man. He smirked when he found her looking at him. Instead of leaving the room, he opened the door more so she could take his signal. She knows what she should do after.

Xiuying swallowed everything before standing up to kiss Xiao Zhan but he immediately angled his head to the side so she was only able to kiss his cheek.

“Go out, I’m sleeping,” Zhan said before pushing the girl out of his room. He saw the shocked face of the lady, clearly not expecting him to push her away. He slammed the door on her face before undressing himself and laid on his bed, naked.

“Xiao Zhan.” Zhan was awakened by the continuous knocking on his door. He checked the time, it was already seven o’clock in the morning. 

“I’m awake.” He said while ruffling his hair. 

“Get ready, we need to go to Wang's residence today.” His mother said before hearing the retreating footsteps of his mother. He sighed and got out of his bed to go to the bathroom.

He opened the shower and think while the water ran on his head. He wasn’t able to sleep early last night because he couldn't help but think about the wedding alliance the Wangs had offered his mother.

He knows about their heir, of course, in this world, who wouldn’t know Wang Yibo? The oh-so-ruthless heir of the Wangs. He can’t help but smirk when he remembers their last encounter. It was a party they attended before. He was mesmerized by the beauty of Wang Yibo, so he tried to hit him up, without knowing he is an alpha. He was stupid — that stupid to the point he haven’t realized that Wang Yibo is an alpha even his smell was very strong.

“Zhan.” He heard his mother from the outside of his bathroom. She’s calling him again. She must be in a hurry so Zhan decided to finish his shower and went out. He did not even bother to look at the mirror because he is confident with the way he looks that not even the heir, one of the most ruthless alphas in their generation, Wang Yibo, could ignore.

Zhan and his parents arrived at Wang’s residence. Their pack welcomed him and his parents but he also noticed the way some girls and guys look at him with envy in their eyes. They probably envy him because he is going to be married to their heir, their soon-to-be leader. 

He felt his mother’s hand on his shoulder so he just looked straight. 

“Good Morning, My Lords and My Lady.” The maids greeted them. Xiao Zhan did not pay them any attention, well, he doesn’t need to. One maid, who smelled like an omega, guided them into the dining area. Before they entered the area, his mother warned him about the pheromones he was releasing unconsciously. 

“He can smell you, Zhan. He is alpha too.” His mother warned him. He calmed himself first before following them.

When he entered the dining area, his eyes immediately found the person he was going to marry. Wang Yibo, still one of the most handsome alphas his eyes ever laid on, though the changes from his appearances are distinguishable from the last time he saw him. The man, who is as pretty as a woman because of his light colors aesthetics before to now, a full black attire, as bitter and as cold as his eyes, he became more and more handsome. Zhan smiled at him but the other alpha only looked at him like is nothing — an unimportant person he shouldn’t pay attention to.

Seems like Zhan had overestimated his charisma and appeal.

The dinner was really quiet, it is like one of the unspoken rules in the Wang’s is to not talk while eating. 

Their parents, both his and Yibo’s, excused themselves after the dinner to talk about important things like their marriage. This is the first alpha to alpha marriage and they are the ones who will host it, so everyone must pay attention to the traditions and everything. 

One maid, whom Mrs. Wang called Xiao Tao, went to Yibo’s side to inform him about something that Zhan, unfortunately, wasn’t able to hear. Yibo excused himself before rising on his chair and went outside. He is now alone in this place so he went outside too, trying to look for his parents.

He was about to move away when he heard some people talking on the side. As he is very curious about their conversation, he tried to go closer to hear them.

“He’s here.” 

“My Lord, does this mean I'll stop following him?” 

“No. Continue it, until the wedding. Make sure no one— as in no one can come near him again.”

“Yes, My Lord.” 

“And by the way, the people he slept with before… bring them to me, I’m done sharing him.”

“Yes, My Lord.” 

Xiao Zhan was about to leave when he heard the last part of the conversation because of fear he might be busted when a strong hand envelops his waist stopping him from doing so. His eyes widened with surprise, oops! He’s busted. 

“Listening to other people’s conversation, you have a very bad habit, little wolf. ” He heard. before Yibo forcefully makes Zhan face him.

“I’m sorry.” Zhan firmly said before slightly bowing to Yibo but he heard nothing from the other alpha so he looked up to see Yibo’s dark eyes staring straight at him like he wants to devour Xiao Zhan, like he wants to own him. 

Yibo, still not letting go of his waist, pushed him gently so that he would be closer to him. He can feel Yibo’s hard chest and minty breath now. Not only that, but he can also smell Yibo’s sweet and powerful alpha scent as Zhan is near his scent glands . 

“You heard us,” Yibo said before touching his chin, pushing Zhan’s face closer to him. 

“Yes,” He bravely answered, staring straight at Yibo’s eyes. He doesn’t care how close they are and how intimate their position is, he is determined to underpower Yibo right now, to make him fear Zhan’s presence. As an alpha, Zhan desires to control everything and he wants Yibo to be one of those. Yibo seems to notice what he’s doing so he smirks before leaning in to sniff his neck. 

Xiao Zhan should be scared of Yibo because he just heard him talking, no, commanding someone. He should be scared but he can’t. He doesn’t feel fear, especially now that Yibo’s holding him. Zhan realized that Yibo was still sniffing his neck, like a dog, so he stopped him. “Stop sniffing me, you dog ,” Zhan said before pulling away from Yibo’s hold. 

“Aren’t you curious who or what we are talking about?” Yibo asked before letting him go. He is still smirking but this time, the color of his eyes is darker than before, he is also releasing pheromones which made Zhan step back. He is claiming him, using his smell . 

Xiao Zhan winced at the smell of Yibo’s pheromones and covered his nose. “No. And what the fuck, control yourself. We just met after years of not interacting with each other and you became possessive already.” He said because Yibo released a very bold smell, he wants Zhan to smell like him to let other people know that he is owned by someone. Zhan doesn’t like this idea because he should own them, not the other way around. 

“I’m not possessive. I even shared what’s mine.” Yibo answered before stepping to Zhan closer. He put the loose strand of Zhan’s hair behind his ear.

Brows furring, he asked, “What?” As he was confused with Yibo’s statement. 

Yibo stood up straightly, smirked, and said, “Nothing.” Before leaving Xiao Zhan dumbfounded.

Xiao Zhan is back in the dining area with Yibo and their parents. Seems like they had a very good conversation as Zhan’s parents can’t stop smiling while Yibo’s parents won’t stop staring at him.

Zhan raised his eyebrows before asking. “What did you guys talk about?” 

His mother didn’t answer at first so he stared at his parents. “We’re talking about your upcoming wedding.” She answered before smiling at him again.

“We’re pushing your wedding seven days from now.” Yibo’s mother said before holding her husband’s hand that was on the table. 

Xiao Zhan looked at Yibo but it seems like the latter doesn’t care when their wedding will be, so he was the one who asked. 

“Wait, wait, a week from now? Isn’t that too early?”

“No. Everything is actually prepared, my dear.” Yibo’s mother said like it’s a matter of fact before smiling at him and her son sweetly. 

Zhan pressed his lips together, questioning their decision won’t make any difference so, like a good son, he will just take everything that will be given to him. 

Since Xiao Zhan did not say anything and just agreed with everything, the dinner and the conversation went smoothly to the point that their parents did not notice the time. Yibo’s parents, whom he should now call Mama and Papa , insisted that they should sleep there but he and his parents politely declined. Leaving the pack for more than four hours is enough, especially now that someone is threatening them. Mama and Papa quickly understood how serious the situation is, so they agreed eventually but they sent seven betas to protect them while they are on their way home, which they are thankful about.

Yibo looked at Zhan before they left, he did not say anything throughout the dinner and just quietly stared at him like he’s the only person in the room. They were about to leave when Yibo talked. “Take care.” He said before going in front of Xiao Zhan.

Xiao Zhan’s parents excused themselves the same as Yibo’s parents so they are now alone in the room. 

“What?” Zhan asked while staring straight at Yibo. 

“Nothing,” Yibo answered before releasing a very sweet pheromone and kissed Xiao Zhan’s lips. 

When their lips parted, Yibo smirks. “That’ll do.” He said to Xiao Zhan, who is still stone-like after the kiss. 

Xiao Zhan soon realized that Yibo kissed him after releasing his pheromones so that his smell would remain on him. Prideful Xiao Zhan, he stopped Yibo from going by holding his shoulder and made him face Zhan. He also smirks at Yibo before kissing Yibo’s neck. He bit it a little before standing straight and left.

Now, they are both reeking of each other’s smell.

When Xiao Zhan and his parents left, Yibo immediately went to the white house beside their mansion where he found his parents. 

He was surprised by their presence but immediately hid it and went straight to where he was supposedly going. 

“How is it?” Yibo’s mother asked. Yibo knows that his mother is asking him so he answered. “You both suck at acting.” 

“Really? I don’t think it’s us who suck at acting. It was you! You were just staring at Xiao Zhan the whole dinner.” His father said before going near him. He is sniffing him. “You smelled like Xiao Zhan. What did you do when we left?” His father asked before standing beside his mother who is now crossing her arms.

He won’t be able to do what he should do if he won’t answer his parents so he simply explained what happened in the kitchen when they left. “I kissed him. He kissed my neck.” 

Seems like they are satisfied with his answer so they left him alone after. When he couldn't already feel his parents’ presence in the area, he opened the door to his precious place and went to the room where no one could open  except for him. He stared at the pictures that were posted on the wall. Yibo can’t help but smile when he saw the pictures before pasting the pictures that Xue Rou, the man he talked to earlier, gave him. 

These are the most recent pictures of Xiao Zhan.  

He started paying Xue Rou to follow Xiao Zhan and to take pictures of him after the event when they first met. He went there because his parents wanted him to find someone he can marry and unfortunately for Xiao Zhan, he was chosen the moment he flirted with him. His parents planned everything but fate had its plans when the Sui threatened to attack Xiao's pack so he asked his parents to do everything they could do to make Xiao Zhan marry him, and the rest is history . 

The wall is full of Xiao Zhan’s pictures. When he was hunting, playing, dating men and women, when he’s having sex, eating and everything that Xiao Zhan did. He also paid Xue Rou to find the identities of every man and women who had sex with Xiao Zhan, those people need to die now.

A day after they went to the Wang’s residence, several betas and omegas from their pack went missing. Some saw them leaving their place but they never saw them returning. His parents suspected that the Sui’s are the ones causing the sudden disappearance of the omegas and betas but Xiao Zhan highly doubts it. The Sui’s may have threatened them before but when the wedding was announced, they never made a move. 

Zhan told his parents to cancel the wedding until the disappearance of betas and omegas were given an answer but they disagreed. 

“I’m sure they made this move to prolong your wedding, Zhan, so no, we can’t cancel it.”

“But, let me investigate this. Just this day, mother.”

“Zhan…” 

“Mother, these people who went missing are members of our pack. It’s my responsibility as the future leader and alpha to find out who did this.” Zhan reasoned out. His mother can’t do anything as he is very determined to find the person responsible for these crimes.

After the conversation Xiao Zhan had with his parents, he prepared everything he needed in case he needed to fight. He went to the house of some omegas and betas that went missing to have some of their clothing. He will try to trace their smell using their clothing. Luckily, their family members agreed and gave them a piece of their clothing. Zhan was anxious as the betas and omegas, both male and female,  who went missing were the people he had sex with. Is this just a mere coincidence or is this a hint? Xiao Zhan doesn’t know.

He inhaled the scent in one of the clothes. The scent is a little bit sweet and delicate, a typical scent of omega females, he closed his eyes and focused on the scent surrounding the area. There was a faint smell on his right side. Brows furrowing, he followed the scent, he doesn’t know where this scent will lead him but at least, he can still smell this omega — she is still alive. 

When the smell vanished, Xiao Zhan carefully checked his surroundings. The place is somewhat familiar to him, he tried to remember where he saw this place when two guys went on his way. He immediately hid behind trees before following them in a distance. The scent of whom they are bringing is very familiar to him — it was the scent he was following! 

“We brought him dozens of omegas and betas, what do you think he’s doing to these people?” Xiao Zhan heard the conversation which spiked his curiosity. Looks like he wasn’t wrong when he decided to follow this scent. 

“First rule when working, do not ask questions .” The other guy answered. Xiao Zhan is still following him when they stopped in front of the white house. Xiao Zhan’s eyes widened when he saw the surname that was written on the plate near the white house. 

Wang.

His parents were wrong, it wasn’t the Sui who were kidnapping tons of omegas and alphas. It was the Wang family, but why? They offered protection to their pack, why would they kidnap some of their members? Xiao Zhan can’t understand it. The two guys who are holding the omega female pressed something which opened the door. Xiao Zhan took the chance to enter too in the quietest move possible. 

He saw an open room so he entered the room and squatted before these people would find him. He tried to breathe as quietly as possible before actually moving his gaze to the other sacks near where they put the omega. He doesn’t want to assume but those are more likely the other members of their pack who went missing. 

“My Lord.” He heard them saying while he was so focused on thinking. He averted his head to look for the person who entered the room. It was Wang Yibo. 

“Wake them up, I want to hear them screaming,” Yibo said before looking in his direction. Zhan quickly moved away. Is he busted?  

The two men put them out of the sacks before throwing water on them to wake them up. Xiao Zhan was right. These are some of their members. Qi Xiuying is also among them. They are all dirty and bruised, some didn’t even wake up. Some cried in fear, some shouted and some stayed quiet while tearing up. 

Their mouths are covered with green tapes, their bodies are tied with red rope. All of them were tortured before. He bit his lips before sighing heavily. He can’t do anything right now, he may be an alpha male, but there are three of them and he doesn’t even know the sub-gender of the other two. If it’s only Yibo, he has a fifty-percent chance of winning but now? He doubts it.

Yibo stopped walking near Xiao Zhan’s place. “What the fuck.” Xiao Zhan whispered before silently moving away. 

He pointed the gun at one of the beta males. If Xiao Zhan can remember it clearly, his name is Yang Feng. 

They wiggled and shouted, pleading for mercy, but Yibo didn’t mind them. He didn’t mind the cries and the pleadings of these people. He is as ruthless, as merciless, as the rumors say. He shoots them, one by one, and kicks their bodies. He is still not content with one shot, he shot everyone in their head, heart, and stomach. 

“Dismember them and throw their bodies away,” Yibo said when he’s done shooting them because he’s already satisfied. Xiao Zhan can’t help but breathe heavily after what he witnessed. When the men left, without thinking, he attacked Yibo. Yibo seemed to expect this attack when he avoided Xiao Zhan’s punch without even looking.

“Ey, did you enjoy the show?” Yibo asked him while avoiding Xiao Zhan’s attacks. His blood boiled when he heard what Yibo had said. He knows he’s there. He can feel his eyes getting darker. 

“Easy there, little wolf,” Yibo said before attacking Xiao Zhan. Zhan avoided Yibo’s attack but he didn’t expect the kick from Yibo’s right foot. He coughed a little and tried to punch Yibo after he recovered. His fist landed on Yibo’s side face which made the latter stop. Yibo bit his inside cheeks before running inside the room where Xiao Zhan hid before. Xiao Zhan followed him but he couldn't see Yibo inside.

“Where are you?“ Zhan asked loudly before he heard loud footsteps behind him and a sound of a closing door. He was about to face the door but Yibo is faster than him. He injected something on Xiao Zhan’s neck which made Xiao Zhan stop moving, no, he couldn’t move. 

Yibo made Xiao Zhan face him. “You shouldn’t be here,” Yibo said before roaming his eyes around the room. As much as Xiao Zhan wanted to do the same, he couldn’t.

“Make me move.” Zhan said but Yibo shook his head before answering, “No.”

“Wang Yibo.” 

“Xiao Zhan.” 

“Release me.”

“Later.” 

Zhan didn’t say anything but he is thinking of ways on how to get out of here alive. He can’t kill Yibo even with the materials he had brought with him, but he can at least leave this place. Yibo remained quiet too, surveying the room, he looks like he’s checking the place while his hand is below his chin.

“I’ve been thinking if I will let you see this, little wolf ,” Yibo said after being quiet. Zhan raised his eyebrows as he couldn't still move. “Oh.” Yibo mouthed before carrying him to face his back. Xiao Zhan’s eyes widened when he saw the other side of the room. He didn’t see this before as he was so focused on what’s happening. 

It was a wall full of Xiao Zhan’s pictures, when he was eating, talking to people, even he’s in his room, and having sex. “What the fuck?!” He exclaimed after processing what he saw. Yibo smiled at him proudly. “You,” Yibo said, then pointed at him. “Are my obsession.” He said like it’s just a simple matter. “I told you, I'm not possessive because I shared you with other people.” He continued while caressing his face. 

“I’m so in love with you,” Yibo said, before laughing loudly. He clutched his stomach and wiped the tears around his eyes because of laughing. 

Xiao Zhan gritted his teeth. “ You are crazy .” He tried to scream at Yibo but he didn't have enough energy. 

Yibo went to his side, licked his cheeks before whispering. “I know...”

“And you will be mine .” Yibo continued before going to a table to get the scissors on it. Yibo pointed the scissors at him which made him panic. “W-what are you going to do?” He said, panicking. Is Yibo going to kill him? No no. He can’t kill him. 

Xiao Zhan closed his eyes when Yibo pressed the scissors on his face. His lips and his eyelids are now trembling because of fear. He also released pheromones, trying to distract Yibo with his smell, but Yibo only laughed when he smelled his pheromones. 

“You really have a sweet scent, little wolf. I can’t wait to taste you. Do you want to taste me?” Yibo whispered to him but he did not answer his question.

Zhan opened his eyes when he felt scissors inside his clothes. He gulped when Yibo started cutting his clothes, undressing his upper body. When he was done, Yibo started touching him. He leaned in to kiss Xiao Zhan’s body before throwing the scissors. 

“As much as I want to taste you, I will do it next time,” Yibo said before hugging him. Xiao Zhan thought he’s done, Xiao Zhan thought he could now go but Yibo started kissing his neck, near his scent glands. “Or maybe not? I’m a bit indecisive when it comes to you.”

Xiao Zhan thought that Wang Yibo was done with him when he started undressing his body’s lower part, which made his eyes widen. Yibo laid him down, he didn't care if the floor was dirty when he was done undressing him. He’s now naked. Yibo smirked when he saw Xiao Zhan’s full body on display in front of him. He undressed too before kissing Xiao Zhan.

“Mark me, little wolf, or you’re not getting out of here.” Yibo threatened him. He doesn’t want to mark Yibo, but in order for him to leave this place alive, he bit Yibo’s neck. Mixing his scent on Yibo’s, marking him, mating them . 

He had a taste of Yibo’s blood, it is sweet and metallic. Once he’s done marking Yibo, he collapsed and felt everything went black.

“Zhan!” Xiao Zhan was awakened by the loud voice calling his name. He is still adjusting to the light because he suddenly opened his eyes. 

“W-what?” He asked, his throat is dry so he stood up and went to the table where there was a bottle of water placed on it. He looks at his surroundings, why is he in his room now? “Why am I here?” He asked his mother who looks at him like he has grown two more heads. 

“What do you mean? You were sleeping! The Wang family are already here.” She said before pushing him to the bathroom. “Take a bath, you stink!” 

“Mother!” He said before smelling himself. He still smelled like before. 

“I’m just joking, go!” She said before leaving his room. 

Xiao Zhan hesitatingly went inside the bathroom. He still doesn't get why is he inside his room with no signs that he went outside? Was it a dream? Was it only a dream? Xiao Zhan touched his neck before looking at the mirror. There’s no mark. He sighed and closed his eyes, trying to forget his dream. 

When he was done taking a bath, he chose decent clothes before leaving his room to go to the dining area. He found his parents sitting in their usual positions, the only difference is, the Wang family is here. 

His mother noticed his arrival so he nodded her head. Zhan smiled and greeted their visitors before sitting on his chair. “Good Morning.”

The Wang family smiled and greeted him back except for Wang Yibo who was busy looking at his food. Zhan can’t help but to but his lips when he looked at the other alpha. 

“We’ll leave you both here.” His mother said before they even began eating which made his eyebrows furrow. He can’t change his parents' minds so he just nodded before looking at his food. 

He was about to start eating when Yibo said something which made him tremble. 

“Good Morning, little wolf. You have a very nice scent.” Yibo said, which made Xiao Zhan smell his scent secretly. His eyes widened when he smelled a familiar scent mixed in his scent. 

“W-what?” He whispered before looking at Wang Yibo, who was smirking at him. 

“It was not a dream?” He asked himself but Yibo still heard him which made him laugh. “A dream?” He asked while laughing. 

“Little alpha, everything is real,” Yibo said before standing up on his chair to go to him.

“Then why am I here? Why didn't I see the mark from last night?” 

“Little wolf, I brought you to your room last night, cleaned you, and dressed you up. Oh, the mark, you can see it now, I put something last night so that it won’t be visible until you see me today.”  Yibo stood behind him before leaning in and whispered. “You are mine as I am yours.” He, then, traced his neck and stopped near his scent gland. “You have my mark as I have yours.” He continued.

“Finally you’re mine, alpha or should I call you my little obsession .”
