Head Pats

Summary:

Shoto has just been given head pats for the first time and decides to share the feeling with the rest of UA. But his good intent backfires and just about everyone in the school is afflicted with something called the Head Pat Apocalypse. Who can stop this fluff madness and cure those who have been pet on the head?

(Inspired by my feelings after getting a head pat for the first time in my entire life)

Notes:

Fun and exciting stories of Class 1A and friends! Brought to you by a video-taping Kams.

Work Text:

“Good job Todoroki” said Mr. Aizawa as he pat Shoto’s head.

The student’s eyes sparkled. “What was that..?” Aizawa blinked at him. “Uh, head pats.”

This only made Todoroki’s eyes sparkle greater. “I must share this feeling.” He said before racing off.

‘Oh boy what have I done?’

Sneaking up behind a clueless Monoma was Shoto Todoroki. “Head pat head pat” Todoroki chanted as he pat Monoma’s blonde hair. His eyes, too, sparkled.

“Please do that again” begged Monoma. “Only if you pat mine too” “Yes.”

So the two pat each other’s heads for, like, an hour or so as they chanted ‘head pats’ over and over again.

At some time, Katsuki Bakugo and Hitoshi Shinso walked in.

“What are those idiots doing?” said Katsuki as he observed the situation presented to him.

“First time getting head pats?” Hitoshi questioned. Bakugo shrugged and walked over.

“Oi, you two!” Monoma and Todoroki snapped their heads around to face Bakugo. “Head pat head pat” they chanted as they pet Bakugo.

Despite having been pat on the head before, Katsuki showed the same sparkle-eyed expression as them.

Shinso realized the danger he put himself in and tried to flee. However, his attempts were futile as the three touched the purple mess that was his hair.

Hours passed and this head-pat apocalypse spread like a disease. It held a majority of UA in its grasp. But then, a brave hero—back from his shopping trip—passed through the gates.

“What...happened while I was gone?” Izuku said to no one in particular as he dropped the groceries onto the pavement.

If they weren’t aware of the greenette before, then they definitely were now.

“Head pats?” “Must. Pat. Head!” “Head pats head pats head pats!” They all chanted. Midoriya was soon swarmed by a bunch of sparkling eyes and head pats.

“What are you guys doing!?” he exclaimed, struggling to break free.

Why was Izuku Midoriya unaffected you ask? Well that’s because he’s been pat on the head A LOT! Here’s an example:

Izuku:  Hey mom I’m going to the store. Thought I should let you know!

Inko: Can you grab mommy some eggs too? Can’t cook dinner without

Izuku: Sure mom! ^w^

Inko: Awe thanks Izu~  *pats head*

Izuku: *purrs thanks*

Midoriya, still being swarmed with head pats, started thinking of a way to calm them. Suddenly, it hit him.

“If you all form a single-file line in front of me I’ll give you head pats!” He shouted.

Hearing this, they all obeyed and formed a perfect line in a split second.

And so Izuku held up his end of the deal. Hours upon hours passed and it was only after 5 rounds of head patting that they all returned to normal.

”Sorry about that! I’m not sure what came over me!” said Uraraka. “Our deepest apologies Midoriya. We were not in control of ourselves.” “It’s fine guys! Really! I didn’t mind”

None of them realized that what just happened was based off of a true story!

“Wait it was?” Yes *Kams! It was how our author felt when getting pat on the head for the first time last night.

*Kams is a nickname I gave to Denki Kaminari

“Mon ami, did you just break the fourth wall?✨” No, actually. I’m hiding behind it. “Hmm✨“ Hey! Quit judging me!

“Head pats are awesome” I couldn’t agree more Todoroki.

“Wait, isn’t this story technically finished?” Oh right! Thanks for reminding me Izuku.

And they all lived happily ever after!

”We’re in a story book?”

”Bakugo was probably the bad guy..”

”WHAT DID YOU SAY ICYHOT!?”

”Kaachan! Calm down!”

”Revelry in the darkness”

“Bakubro! Wait up!”

The End.
