Work Text:
"Oh hey Tobio-chan, I've been meaning to ask you," Oikawa pats Kageyama's back from behind, and the raven stops walking and turns around, meeting eyes with his upperclassman who is now smiling brightly at him, "How did the blind date I set up for you go?" Oikawa asks.
"It's good," Kageyama mutters without any further comment. Quickly, he nods at Oikawa and continues walking to his lecture hall.
Understanding that his underclassman doesn't specifically like interacting with people, Oikawa just shakes his head and walks away, knowing that at least the date he sets up for Kageyama doesn't turn into a disaster.
Or so he thought.
Kageyama makes his way to the back of the lecture hall and puts his hood on to cover himself. The raven doesn't seem to like people that much, and he always looks like he's annoyed by someone, while actually, there is a certain person that he's crazy about, Hinata Shoyo, his date a week ago.
The first time he sees Hinata, Kageyama knows that he has fallen in love with him. The way Hinata smiles, the way Hinata talks, the way Hinata furrows his brows, the way Hinata chews his food, everything just makes Kageyama's mind go insane. And he means it. All he wants to do is to ravish the ginger, to lock him in his house so no one else can see him, and to chain him up so he can never leave.
However, the plan doesn't go as smoothly as Kageyama wants, especially when Hinata has been ignoring him ever since their first date. Kageyama bites his nails and shakes his legs in aggravation when he thinks about how Hinata is literally everyone's sunshine, except for him.
After the date, Kageyama falls head over heels for Hinata. He has been sending constant text messages, from trivial ones like, "Have you eaten?", "Do you have class?", "What time do you go to sleep?"; to more serious ones like, "Let's go on another date", "I think I'm in love with you". However, no reply. Not a single message back from the ginger.
And calls do not help much either when all he receives is a robotic tone telling him to please call again later. Or if on any rare occasions when he uses a different phone to call Hinata, the ginger immediately hangs up after he realizes Kageyama's voice.
And don't get him started on gifts. He sends Hinata plenty. From flowers to chocolate to stuffed toys, all to be seen in the trash a few days later or on someone's else hands when they disgustingly munch down his gift.
But every time Kageyama tries to approach him in the university's hallway, Hinata is always surrounded by people. Watching how those hands touch his Hinata, Kageyama can feel his blood boiling hot, and the only thought in his mind is to rip them off in the most brutal way imaginable.
However, Hinata is not his.
There is a rumor going around their university, about Hinata and Miya Atsumu being the new power couple of their school.
Hinata is Miya Atsumu's.
Of course, a rumor is just a rumor, and Kageyama doesn't believe it, or more like, he doesn't want to believe it. Just when the raven is lost in his thought, his phone lights up, signifying a new text message.
'Tsumu: Hey Sho, I'll pick you up at your house at 5 pm?
Sunshine: Aww you don't need to pick me up, it's too far anyway. Let's just meet at the mall
'Tsumu: You sure bb?
Sunshine: Of course. I'll see you later bb xxxxx.
Kageyama squeezes his phone and scoffs out loud as he watches the conversation between Hinata and Miya. So what if he hacks into Hinata's phone? It's not like he has a choice when the ginger decides to ghost all of his texts and calls confronting him about his relationship with Miya. But with this, at least Kageyama knows what they are up to behind his back. A date huh? Kageyama clicks his tongue and grins, as if he'll let that happen.
After scrolling through previous text messages between Hinata and Miya to pin down the location of the mall they are referring to, Kageyama quickly stands up from his seat and leave the lecture hall. He takes out his mask and a pocket knife before throwing his backpack into one of the lockers and heads straight toward their dating location, Kageyama thinks in disgust.
At 5:12 pm, Kageyama spots Hinata walks into the mall with Miya, hands hugging tightly to the taller boy's arms, lips smiling brightly and eyes staring at him lovingly. Kageyama takes in sharp breaths at the sight and squeezes the knife in his pocket before slapping himself in the face. He needs to be patient first, there are too many people around for him to cause a scene. Kageyama might be crazy for Hinata, but he's not crazy, yet.
Kageyama quietly follows the couple as they do their shopping. Looking at them laughing at each other, hugging each other and whispering into each other's ears, Kageyama feels sick in his stomach. Hinata, the only person he loves, is now looking so fucking in love with another man. If it hadn't been for the cold touch of the knife, Kageyama could have lost his mind and act on his instinct. And it will definitely not be pretty for Miya.
"Um, Sho? I know this might sound creepy but I think there's someone following us," Miya says as he feels chills run down his spine.
"Hm?" Hinata crooks his head and looks at Miya questioningly, "I don't see anyone though," he says as he turns back, only to see groups of people walking and laughing.
"Is it?" Miya scratches his nape, "I might just imagine it then".
"You might be having too much caffeine, 'Tsumuuuu," Hinata whines while puckering his lips, which make the taller boy pinch his soft cheeks. Hinata giggles at the touch and says, "Wait here okay, Imma head to the bathroom".
Miya nods and Hinata walks to the bathroom. Watching the situation from afar, Kageyama also makes his move.
"Hinata," Kageyama calls and grabs onto the ginger's wrist tightly. It's better to approach Hinata since the way to the bathroom is always empty, and Kageyama knows that he wouldn't be able to control his actions when he's near Miya. The last thing he wants to happen is him going to jail and Hinata spends the rest of his life happily with Miya.
"...Kageyama?" Hinata takes a moment to register the person standing in front of him.
"Is it true that you and Miya are dating?" Kageyama asks, basically growls at the word "dating".
"That's none of your business!" Hinata tries to shake his wrist out of Kageyama's grip, however, unable to do so because of how tightly the raven grabs onto his.
"Fucking answer me!" Kageyama screams.
With Kageyama's rage, Hinata only whimpers while still trying to break free from the grip. Seeing tears start welling up in the ginger's eyes, Kageyama subconsciously loosens his hand, which creates the opportunity for Hinata to rescue his wrist and run away.
"Stay away from me, you creep!" Hinata cries while running back toward Miya.
Creep? Kageyama scoffs at the word as his blood starts boiling and his mind going hazy. Oh how innocent Hinata! I'll show you what a creep actually looks like.
Later that night, Kageyama goes to Hinata's house. He knows all too well that the ginger is living alone in a house just outside of the city center, and let's just say that this is not the first time he has been here either. But today, he might spice things up a little. Kageyama smirks as he breaks the lock of the house and makes his way inside. The whole house is dark and cold. Kageyama is not surprised, it's now almost 2 am and Hinata is already fast asleep. Quietly, he walks toward the ginger's room, feeling the cold sensation and the creaking sound of the wood further stimulate his excitement.
But with a sharp pain on his nape, Kageyama passes out.
.
.
"Miya, are you and Hinata really dating?" Sakusa asks while sitting down next to Miya, with the movie on the TV now showed halfway through.
"No way," Miya laughs and looks at Sakusa, "You know I only have eyes for you, Omi-Omi".
"Then why the fuck does the whole school say you two are dating?" Sakusa asks in annoyance.
"I think Shoyo has something to do with it," Miya mumbles, "He's been really touchy towards me as well, not that I mind though," Miya shrugs his shoulder, decides not to dwell too much on the matter. And answers him is a light smack on the head and a loud sound of Sakusa clicking his tongue, not surprisingly.
.
.
Kageyama peeks his eyes open, just to be welcomed by a bright light on the ceiling, the feeling of a tape covering his mouth and both of his hands chained up to the bed frame. Before Kageyama could register what the hell is happening, the door swings open, and walks in his little sunshine, Hinata.
The ginger gaps softly when he sees that Kageyama is awake. He quickly runs toward the bed and places the cup of water on the table before flopping himself on Kageyama's body, hands snaking tightly around his neck and face nuzzling to his chest.
"You're awake baby! Oh my God, I'm so sorry I didn't mean to hit you that hard. Does it hurt?" He asks as he frantically peppers kisses on Kageyama's shocked face.
Seeing how Kageyama's breath trembles, Hinata slowly sits up and whines.
"Ugh, it's so hard to ignore you and pretend that I'm not interested or scared of you, especially when you always look so fucking cute" the ginger sighs dramatically, "But that's okay baby, it's for the best".
Hinata unconsciously lets out a maniacal grin as he traces his fingers along Kageyama's face, then his neck, then his torso.
"I would have been fine with being your boyfriend, but there are just so many creeps lurking around, trying to take you away from me. And you always look so gorgeous too, how can I keep you safe? So I got to do what I got to do, making you completely mine".
"You make it so easy Tobio. All I need to do is to ignore and reject you and you immediately become obsessed with me, just like that," Hinata hums and snaps his fingers, "You've always been so predictable baby, ever since high school. When you can't get something that you want, you end up wanting it more".
"Although I did have to beat up some bitches to be your only blind date and spread the rumor around, you, on the other hand, don't disappoint me at all," Hinata giggles, "Gosh, you hacked into my phone, followed me around and broke into my house? That's hot!".
As Hinata goes on, he craws to Kageyama's position before spreading his thighs and sitting on the raven's stomach, "I know you need a little trigger to act on your instinct, that's why I called you a creep earlier, I didn't mean it though," the ginger whines as he gently rips off the tape on Kageyama's mouth, leaving the raven panting softly, still not being able to utter a single word after hearing what just comes out of Hinata's mouth.
"But it's okay, you're here with me now, and no one can ever look at you ever again, you're mine," Hinata chokes out a mad laugh and his body shakes violently in excitement.
"This whole thing was your idea?" Kageyama mutters.
"Of course!" Hinata laughs proudly as he bends over onto Kageyama's chest and breathes into the raven's ear, "Everything is according to my plan," Hinata whispers.
Or is it?
