Controlled Chaos

Summary:

Nedzu takes his daily walk on a different path, he meets a child named Midoriya Izuku. Chaos ensues...

Work Text:

      Naive. Dishonest. Greedy. Those are a few choice words that Nedzu would use to describe humans. It's easy to infer that Nedzu dislikes humans. Most of them being selfish individuals, only caring about their status and how others perceive them. It's rather interesting to see how people turn against each other for the sake of power. Take Endeavour, for example, he used his money and status to force someone into a quirk marriage and essentially killed his own child while 'training' him, and it all got swept under the rug by the Hero Public Saftey Commission due to his role in society as the number two hero.

     If that wasn't proof enough that people only care about power, then look at the statistics for quirkless people. They make up 20% of the population, but are treated so poorly that only 2% die a natural death.  They all die before having a chance to do anything in today's society. Such a shame that people are selfish enough to ignore them, the potential they have is outstanding. So yes, Nedzu does dislike humans, but he has a rather valid and justifiable reason to.

     Nedzu likes to think about this quite frequently on his strolls. Every day at seven pm, he takes a walk at the local park. Plants and trees flourishing everywhere, the color green becoming predominant everywhere he looks. The color green means a lot symbolically when thought about it. Jealousy, fortune, money, but also nature. The color might just be his favorite after all, due to its versatile meaning. It reminds him about how peaceful everything used to be, before he became principal before he came across humans who discriminated against him. He still has phantom pains near his eye, where a long scar runs through it. The quirked animal likes to think of a place without humans often, would he have reached his position as principal if they still existed? He won't know the answer at the moment. Ending the human race isn't part of his plans at the moment. 

     Today, however, he takes a different route, through the city, rather than the park. After all, it does get redundant after a while seeing the same scenery with little change every day. The air is heavily polluted, with factories far of into the distance. Mustafu, a well-respected city, where many heroes patrol and live in. It might as well be one of the safest places, with Yuuei in the center of it. He might be the principal, but he needs a successor to reign in the hero commission and others who he may need to use in order to gain an advantage. He needs someone like him. Someone hurt by society. Someone intelligent. Someone wronged for something they can not control.

     It was nearing the end of his walk, the time almost reaching eight at night when he hears a noise. At first he dismisses it as a raccoon scavenging for food, but he continues on his path. While walking further down the street he hears sniffling and mumbling. He begins to search for the source of the clearly distressed voice. His worry started to increase, as it was starting to become dark outside and because the voice he heard just seconds earlier was on the younger side. 

     "I'm sorry mom, please I miss you, I just want you back." The child curls into a ball, continuing his mumbling, not even noticing a certain principal watching the scene in front of him. He analyzes what he sees. A young child, around the age of 8 or 9, with green, curly hair that seems a bit matted, as well as large green eyes with four freckles in a geometric pattern on his cheek. As he walks a bit closer he can tell that the child is a bit malnourished with sickly yellow bruises covering his pale skin. He clears his throat and grabs the attention of the greenette.

     "Hello there little one, can you tell me your name?" Nedzu says with a comforting voice so he doesn't scare the child on the ground. He crouches a little even though he is significantly shorter than everyone already. 

     "Mommy said not to give my name to s-strangers..." he mumbles out, clearly nervous and looking down at his hands. He's clearly anxious and scared, but even when the kid is alone, he knows what to say...

     "Well then you sure are smart little green! How about you tell me where your mom is?" Nedzu asks, hoping that the mother of this child didn't just leave a child alone at night, or worse, abandoned him!

     "She said shes goin' to the store, b-but it's b-been a lo-long time, a-and im sca-scared." He says quickly, tears starting to fill his large grass-green eyes. He quickly follows up with, "I miss Kacchan and Auntie Mi!"

     "You're just in luck i'm a hero! can you tell me who you think I am?" The kid thinks for a little bit then starts mumbling.

     "Well you're either a human with a mutation quirk or an animal with an intelligence quirk, and a hero, you're white in color and you have fur, not hair so that must mean you are not human so if that means what it thinkit means and if thatwerethecasethatmeansyouare... NEDZU!" The kid stares in awe, he thinks really quickly 'ITS NEDZU THE PRINCIPAL OF YUUEI WOW I WISH I HAD MY NOTEBOOK.' Nedzu chuckles at the quiet mumbling he heard.

     "Spot on! Since you know who I am, i think It is only fair you tell me who you are."

     "You make a g-good arg-argument Nedzu-san." The kid pauses and finally stares Nedzu in the eyes.

     "Of course I do! I'm Nedzu!" He starts laughing at the younger one's words. The green-haired boy reaches his hand out slowly and plastering a smile on his face.

     "Hi! I'm Midoriya Izuku!" Nedzu takes his hand, shakes it, and smiles back at him, eyes glinting at what is to come. He shivers in anticipation, starting to become giddy, his thoughts start to take over about the future. 

     All good things, maybe he could finally reach what he's always wanted... 

     World Domination.
