Summary
Ian Gallagher is back in Chicago after living most of his life in Boston with his father Clayton and adopted mother Lucy. He’s taken a position teacher with CityYear working at a Southside elementary school. It is a difficult position with many challenges-including one particular challenging student and a principal who should’ve retired years ago.
Adding even more to his plate, after not seeing his siblings since he was three years old, he must learn how to navigate the complicated feelings of the people he was forced to leave behind. When he starts to make an unexpected connection with Mickey, the father of Yevgeny, his challenging yet misunderstood student, his life improves but also becomes more chaotic.
This series will explore the growing bond between Ian, Mickey, and Yev.
