Hopes of catching everyone else off guard with a weapon they couldn’t combat or find a way around just long enough to stay on top until the newest shiniest thing made its way to the market. Mechanical enhancements, biological modification, higher powered weapons. Its a constant struggle for king of the hill, a never ending toppling and growing market with worse and worse.
