Mari is preparing for her and Sunny’s big recital. The two of them get in a fight and the fatal aftermath leaves Mari in a state of guilt, mental instability and depression as she repents for 12 years. Her home is now a prison where she can barely tell what’s real. The bulk of the story takes place in her recovery 12 years later. Going by the name Serena she tries to heal her broken body, mind and bonds with her friends, with the help of her beloved Hero. Perhaps along the way they’ll be able to do the same for their old friends, though that’s easier said than done when you’re a murderer.

On the way, he saw his friends together, heading toward their secret spot — with other people. He felt like he was being replaced.
Sunny’s eyes began to tear up a little, but then someone bumped into him from behind.
It was Kim and her group, running from a store after stealing candy.Sunny got a little scared, remembering how Mari once told him not to hang out with people like them. But that didn’t seem to matter anymore, not after Mari had broken her promise to be with him forever.
They hid behind one of the cars, and when Miss Smiley asked Sunny where they went, he pointed in the opposite direction.
After she left, Kim and her friends came out of hiding. They didn’t recognize him at first — until Kim said,“Sunny???"

Okay I really don't know what came together to make this fic but its basically a mix of Abusive Mari, yeah I know crucify me idgaf, one random image I saw a long time ago of Mari going to Juvie as an OMARI concept, and a ton of JJK concepts I thought would fit really well in the OMORI universe especially when fleshing out America. This is basically a crack semi-serious fic I decided to write because I can't get over my writer's block on my main fic.
This covers a lot of topics like found family, love, curses, abuse, and other shit I don't feel like writing here. Eh, if you decide to read the fic you'll get what I'm talking about.
