Summary
Having stopped the Hive incursion on Eden Prime at the expense of being stuck in Commander Shepard's reality, Crow is offered a place on the Normandy. With nowhere to go, he accepts, and finds himself at the front of the fight against the Collectors, while at the same time trying to learn how to trust the ship's residents. In the end, though... maybe he's not 'stuck' after all.
'The video was of Crow and Tali at a dance machine, Tali stumbling along and Crow tearing up the dance floor to Speed Over Beethoven. At the end of the song, Tali leans on the machine and lets out a breathy giggle.
"Keelah, I'm awful!" she laughed.
"You're not that bad." Crow pats her shoulder, the movement hesitant as though he isn't sure whether his touch is welcome. What little the video captures of his face shows a splitting grin, face flushed dark with exertion, and he looks so damn happy. You would never think someone had shoved a bomb in his friend, or that he'd had an emotional roller coaster of a day.
"So, when you lose to me, I'm a bosht'tet, but you're actually happy losing to Crow?" Joker's voice cuts in from behind the camera.
"Crow is humble."

Nearly 2 years have passed since the Lost Souls were formed and the Battle of Free Will against Predetermination began, and Ben Solo awakes in a bacta tank with his memories of the last year blank, the soul of Palpatine rattling around in his head refusing to answer his questions and scheming for control, and is quickly put on the run from Palpatine's forces with no way to contact his comrades. Oh, and now he sees a vision of himself dying in the future. Hooray. At least there's a madman in a box who's on his side, for whatever that's worth.
Most other men would fall, but this is the story of how Ben Solo rose once more to defend the ability to choose a better future for yourself and others. Oh, and he gets a few additions to his family along the way, who help him in more ways than he expected.

He focused in on the Guardian’s face, saw the hope in their eyes, the devastation in the wrinkle of their brow, and knew it was worth it. It had to be worth it. This wasn’t his second chance at life. More like his third, fourth chance. What was he thinking, wishing for more? That wasn’t in the cards for him any longer. His friend right in front of him needed this. That had to be enough.
As he put on a brave face, gave his last goodbye, and felt himself drift into the Light, it was strange that it didn’t feel like enough, like peace and rest. All he felt instead was regret.

“A second chance.” Finally at this Crow dropped his folded arms, his body language shifting. “You’re wastin’ it by trying to figure out what you did with the first one.”
“Would you at least explain why…You won’t tell me?”
Cayde looked deep in thought about this, as if carefully considering his words before he spoke again. “You have to make your own fate, Crow. Walk your own path. Nothin’ in your past is gonna help you do that.”
“You were in my past. You helped me.”
“Yes, and I’m helping you now. In the present. Where it matters.” Cayde sighed and walked up to Crow, placing a hand on his shoulder. “Please let it go. Trust me on this.”
