The dragon bared his teeth slightly before sniffing the air. Registration darted across his features as he realized it was his partner… his Ajax. The growl turned into a soft purr, like he was excited to have his lover in his domain. By the time he was touching the mattress with his knees, a long brown tail was wrapped around his waist and yanking him into Zhongli’s lap.“You, my treasure…” Zhongli purred. His voice was deeper than usual. “Look simply exquisite. I cannot wait to devour you whole.”
“I can't believe I'm about to ride a dragon.” Ajax chuckled breathlessly.

Summary
Tartaglia falls into the abyss again and loses consciousness, waking up in Khaenri'ah five hundred years ago, meeting Thrain and also seeing their leader in his youth. Both will seek to help Ajax return to the future in exchange for him giving them information about the destruction of Khaenri'ah so they can prevent it.
And no matter how much he tries to deny or repress it, Ajax ends up falling in love with the man who gave him shelter, food, and companionship during his stay in the past. And Thrain... simply falls hopelessly in love with him, with someone he shouldn't, because he doesn't exist in his present until now, because even though they are together, fate will bring inevitable consequences for those who try to defy it.
