Quadratum has spent centuries carefully refining itself into a Utopia for the denizens that inhabit it, but sometimes it had to deal with outsiders. Little anomalies that fell through the cracks of the other reality and into its own.
Quadratum could not risk these outsiders bringing the imperfections of the other reality into this one, so it molded itself around them in order to assimilate them. It would mimic anything, with its own substance added in, so that the outsider would forget that there was ever a time that they weren't in Quadratum. Places, things.
