Kokonoi stood up to leave and started towards the door when the teacher called out to him. “Are you going to hand in your assignment? I’m looking forward to your work.” He told Koko, standing with a hand on his hip as he looked over at him.
He nodded. “I just need more time,” Koko admitted sheepishly. It was only two weeks into the first semester, and Koko was feeling the pressure already. It was bad enough that he was back in his hometown, but worse that he already felt isolated by the pressure of school. His parents were back home, having sent Koko here after he applied and got accepted. It was a good school, among the best.
