Summary
In January, 1929, they meet for two days in Corby, Lincolnshire, a village Thomas had never heard of before finding it in the passenger services pamphlet — there's a railway station, some churches, and not much else, if you don't count farmland.
It rains the whole time.
It's perfect.

Summary
Basically just your average hogwarts au but for downton abbey
Thomas, a Slytherin, comes from a fanatically pure-blood family, whom he doesn’t agree with at all. He has a bit more bark than his bite, but he certainly still has teeth.
Richard, a Gryffindor, is half muggle. He’s heard stories about Thomas’ father before, and expects the boy to be just like him. Oddly enough, though, he starts to grow on him.

Summary
Downton, 1933. After a chaotic start to the year, life has settled back into routine for Richard and Thomas, who are making the most of the summer weather, their relationship blooming.
Soon, trouble creeps its way into Downton and the house. What first appears to be nothing more than a series of low-level crimes soon escalates into a crime wave, each incident growing more severe than the last. The criminal activity shatters the peaceful atmosphere of the rural community, touching everyone, including Thomas, Richard and their friends.
Meanwhile, the police and villagers alike are at a loss as to why Downton has become a criminal hotspot and who is responsible.
However, as events turn dangerous, the perpetrator contacts Richard, giving him an ultimatum that challenges his character and creates a surprising threat towards his relationship with Thomas.
Facing increasing threats across the village and beyond, selfless and heart-breaking decisions must be made, unless Richard, Thomas and their friends can find another way out of a cycle of blackmail and vengeance.
Who is the mystery criminal? What is their past connection to Richard? And how far will Richard go to save his relationship with Thomas?

Summary
Thomas’s chest tightened - could it be possible?
The idea was absurd, he told himself, it was impossible, and yet his mind betrayed him, returning to that makeshift stage in France, to the sight of Ruby’s painted lips parting as she sang.
His rational mind scolded him for even entertaining the thought. A certain flair in one's manner did not make this man Ruby, nor anyone else from Thomas’s past. But still, the resemblance in presence, if not entirely in feature, gnawed at him.
Perhaps it was only his own wishful thinking, some desperate attempt to stitch together his loose fragments of memory from the war with the present, and perhaps Thomas was just trying to drag Ruby out of the shadows of his imagination and give her shape again.

Summary
It wasn’t the work Thomas had imagined for himself, but then again, he’d long since stopped imagining a future for himself. The shop was tucked between a tailor and a laundress, modest and clean, with a single window filled with braces and straps and pieces of mannequins wearing assorted items. Hands with brass knuckles, knees of jointed steel, feet shaped from rosewood. It was a workshop for ghosts, Thomas thought, a place where broken bodies came to be reassembled.
The war had ended, but for Thomas, peace had arrived in random shards. Dismissed from Downton without references, he drifted through Leeds and York, carrying luggage, cleaning alleys, surviving. His bad hand ached and curled in on itself, his pride following suit. Having finally been offered a job in a prosthetics workshop, Thomas manages to find something he hadn't dared imagine and begins to build himself up again.
