Summary
Christi-Anne is a girl from a family of low status in the town of Little Austin. Her daddy works at the local Plant station, but his job isn't high enough to give him or his family any real social standing. Christi-Anne is bullied for her low status and her appearance, but she cannot fight her bullies because they are the sons of her daddy's bosses, well respected men at the Plant station with enough power to fire her daddy for her actions. Because she can't stand up for herself, Christi-Anne escapes into the Plant station to hide. There, she finds and falls in love with the Plant- the mystical being that powers her town.

If he can't have Vash at his side, helping build his paradise, he'd rather be dead.
At least, that's what he thinks, until a soft voice calls to him in the chill of the night.
"Oh, my god," the voice calls. "You're... alive."
