Sometimes it's easier to ignore an issue when you've got more imminent problems to deal with. Now that he's finally safe, Astarion finds it might be harder to ignore said issues.

Tem was a monster hunter, plain and simple. It made no matter if it was animal or humanoid, hideous or beautiful, speaking or dumb; if it was monstrous, it was to be destroyed without hesitation. She’d seen the horrors and destruction that these creatures could impart first-hand, and had nearly faced death by a monstrosity that should’ve never gotten the power he did.
So, when one ill-fated hunt in the city of Baldur’s Gate forced Tem to work with a vampire spawn to save Faerun, she was enraged at the joke the gods were surely playing on her. It didn’t help that Astarion happened to click with her better than anyone ever had, and it didn’t matter. He was still a monster, she couldn’t possibly begin to feel – oh hells, was that affection? No, Tem couldn’t possibly fall in love with him. Astarion was a vampire. He was a monster.
But, then again, so was she.
A mild retelling of game events where a monster and monster hunter go from enemies to friends to lovers all while deciding the fate of the world as they know it. -

Yvette is just a maid, who happens to be blind and a vampire spawn and now she got abducted by something she has never encountered before. The smells and sounds of somewhere and something she didn't recognize then something crawled into one of her eyes! Gross!
She has to navigate this wilderness blind with only her specially adapted thunder magic to hear the world around her, and its many terrible yet fascinating smells. One scent stands out above the others, of the person who blinded her over 130 years prior.
Astarion has agreed to keep her from walking into fires in exchange for her blood every night, but what will he do when she gets her eyes healed and no longer requires his guidance?

The movement at his temples faltered but didn’t stop. That foreign look that the human refused to explain took control of his face, this time accompanied by a soft smile.
“Is it truly so unbelievable for me to think you deserve kindness?”
Astarion reached up and circled his fingers around the wizard’s wrist, halting him. Something ignited at the contact. Something that alarmed the vampire. He found Gale’s startled eyes with his own and simply stared up at him. The warm pulse he could feel in the vein beneath his fingers quickened. Was he afraid? No. Of all the odd things that swam about in the other’s gaze, fear was not one of them. This feeling…was similar to what he remembered his victims experiencing in brothels and dark alleyways moments before he seduced them towards their untimely demise. This was…a desire. A want. A need to be near someone. Had he…somehow unintentionally seduced this man? Something undesirable twisted in his gut, and it wasn’t due to his injuries.
