Summary
There was in those days a tale sung around the hearths of Mirkwood, one carried upon the wind from Elves to the always-hearing ears of trees, and one they spread further.
Its tragedy was great, for the tale itself was at first a prayer whispered to the moon, and through time formed a lament.
In the endless years of Elves and forests, it had not been long before when it occurred. Pain and grief was still fresh within the minds of those whose kin had been lost.
By the name of Úvaniel it became known, named for the memory of what dear was lost. Elves of Mirkwood who had lived few years or many all knew it, of descent Silvan or Sindarin, they dared not to sing the tune where their dear Prince or King could hear.

The elf Anarfin has lived many lives. Man, Thief, Nomad, Sibling, Warrior.
A century after joining the company of Elrohir and Elladan, Anarfin begins to Dream of Darkness, of hooded riders and the forest in trouble.

Summary
Draco did not like this at all...he had somehow managed to get roped...literally...in with some band of brash...idiots who decided to try and storm what seems to be some mythical landscape belonging to ancient elves. Or at least, that was what they called themselves. From what Draco could tell they seemed rather similar to Veela, but considering he was sort of at their mercy at the moment...they could call themselves whatever they wanted, he sure as hell was not going to correct them. Not with his mind not really...processing the fancy magic, and magic blades, and obvious rivalry that puts the one between Gryffindor and Slytherin to shame. Furthermore he just...isn't up to it.
Now if he could just get a band of morons to stop trying to recruit him on a death mission that would be great. He had already been given one of those and...so far failed. He did not need another one.

A 27-year-old American named Ryan was doing his usual morning run through a forest in the United States Midwest when he was attacked by a magical orb that transported him to another world. While in this other World, he finds himself captured by a tribe of Dark Elves that summoned him and another human. This other guy that was captured with Ryan, is a Japanese teen who goes by the name Hiro.
Unfortunately for Ryan, Hiro is a delusional edgy otaku who believes he's the Main Character and thinks he can get away with anything.This just adds more of an obstacle for Ryan to overcome. And he's worried about what the Dark Elves are planning to do with them as they force them to kill monsters. Causing their bodies to absorb mana.
After barely escaping with his life Ryan when a holy group known as the Divine Three, who are trying to rid the world of all subspecies, try to murder him.Then he gets chased by goblins into a Labyrinth. And worst of all, the mana from all the humans and monsters he had slayed has been affecting his body in weird ways as he begins to transform into a Dark (Female?!?) Elf with the extremely rare ability to heal anything.

He's serious about the mission too, of course. But he's spent too long listening to all the stories about love and daydreaming about finding his own to just stop, now that he's finally gotten out of Mirkwood!

This is basically a rehash of Lord of the Rings, except its from Legolas's POV, so it follows book canon pretty closely except that everything is heavily tinged by the sort of person I characterize Legolas as. Gimli/Legolas is Endgame, of course. Otherwise all canon typical ships and events happen, though I could make a good argument that Gimli/Legolas is canon in its own, private way. -
