Henry’s stomach dipped. Something in the way Hans said it set every nerve on edge.
“We’re not going back to Rattay.”
Henry blinked. “What?”
Hans turned to face him, slowing Cabullus with a gentle tug of the reins. His posture was straighter than usual, jaw tight but steady, and his eyes were clearer than Henry had seen in weeks.
“I said, we’re not going back,” Hans repeated. “I’ve made up my mind.”

Laughter rang out around the table. The blond nobleman suppressed a grin. “Well, touché, my dear squire. But in future I’ll have to be careful which ladies I introduce you to. Otherwise, they might rip you off with their 'assignments' once word gets around, that you're easy to get.”
Henry laughed in turn, his voice brimming with confidence: “They'll probably have to queue up, because I'm usually completely taken up by your lordship."

The story begins after the meeting in Raborsch and is continued by me up to Suchdol and beyond. Mostly Canon compliant but filling in the gaps and side storys and more depth to both Charakters, the friendship and the cursed developing feelings.
