While Joaquin is away, Shuri encounters the rich and depraved mayor, Namor Almehen, in the marketplace. He soon gives T’Chaka an offer –
Shuri’s hand in marriage in exchange for becoming debt-free.
“The flowers I bought for you the other day are rather lovely, aren’t they?” Namor touches one of the petals, then two fingers flick at the bud rapidly. “Imagine how many more gifts I can provide you with.”
“Leave,” she grits, everything inside her burning hot as his fingers continue violating the flowers and making her sweat despite the chilly weather. “You are not, nor will you ever be, the man of my heart.”
Namor licks his fingertips, then rubs the traces of saliva down the skin of his throat.
“My offer is not about love, Ms. Shuri. I am not interested in your heart. I am interested in having a wife, with a womb as young and as fertile as yours in particular.”

Complications arise when Shuri falls in love with her new husband and children who aren’t truly hers, and an envious sister begins to miss her previous life.
“Ask me what I was thinking about,” he growls. Shuri’s panting, something is building inside of her, a coil that’s tightening.
“What were you thinking about, Mr. President?” she manages, her eyes half-closed, her voice so lustful that it surprises her.
He licks the column of her throat, sliding her faster and faster. She clings to his back, clenching his dampening shirt. Something’s happening. His lips graze her ear.
