It wasn’t Scott McCall who called Derek Hale at 4am the night Sheriff Noah Stilinski died, but rather Chris Argent. It was, however, Scott McCall who rang Derek Hale at 4pm the following day to say that Stiles Stilinski had disappeared sometime in between the calls.
It was Derek Hale who had accidentally bumped into Stiles Stilinski two years later, in North Carolina, with a different scent and a haunted persona.

After the post-Void clean-up, the Hales leave Beacon Hills to track down Derek's former pack-mates who had fled into the night after escaping the Argents' torture basement. Stiles understands the reasons, but he hates it with every fiber of his being. Because he feels like he's lost his pack. He's not a wolf, but he's more wolf than McCall who runs his pack like a summer camp. With high-fives, pats on the back, and bro-talks. But that's not an Alpha. Not in Stiles's book.

"...Allison?" Chris asked with cautious hope. Her resolution broke, and the tears fell quickly.
"Dad, I woke up, and- and I was in the dark. Then I got out, but there was a grave. I remember. I know what happened, but Dad, I died. What's happening? Please... Dad, I'm scared," Allison cried. She could hear the shuffle on the other end of the phone. There was another voice in the background, but she couldn't tell who it was.
"You're... alive," Chris said in disbelief. "Allison, where are you?" He quickly steadied his reaction and focused on the danger that could be present.

Stiles couldn’t really care currently— he just needed a moment, a moment to himself he couldn’t handle the looks his friends would give him. Running with werewolves is rough. Most of the pack heals bruises, shallow cuts, and abrasions in minutes but not human Stiles. But they don't seem to think when grabbing his arm, pulling his wrist, playful wrestling. Maybe a 5 times the pack (or a pack member) didn't know they were too rough on the human and one time they realized (or +1 gentle Derek)

Allison and Isaac went with him, (Allison because she lived and is his daughter and Issac because it was canon I think?) Chris missed Melissa because I see him as a softie at heart with a hard shell.
