Now 9 months into the hunt for a corporate job he's found himself hired to be 'Assistant to the IT Manager'. A position so far removed from what he was looking for... But a job is a job.
Or at least that's what he tells himself... Right up until he finds out that the Manager he's been hired as personal assistant to is a piece of his past he'd much rather forget.

Sometimes, when we're on a roll, we push our luck. Just how much will Alex gamble, and how much is he prepared to lose.
A slow-burn story spanning the consequences of addiction, unresolved issues, and finding support and comfort in unusual places. Through his mistakes, Alex learns about life, himself, and what it really means to be a man.
Can probably be read without reading the others, the final work in the series, this story covers life five years post-marriage for the couple, as well as some end-game mechanics and events, and a look at things away from the farm and town. Some tags to be added as we go, but the important ones are there. I will also give a heads up for anything triggering.
This is going to get a bit dark. I am not sorry.

Whisked away from Coral Island while visiting her sister Julie, she is now hiding on the other side of the world - in the Ferngill Republic and the small, unassuming Ridgeside Village. She has to find a way to bind her time while waiting for her sister to eventually find her - what she finds is possibly a new life and a larger threat connected to what Julie and her team already encountered in the Savannah.
Could life in Pelican Town and Ridgeside Village be better than the life she knew in Pokyo?
