Summary
Sammie’s young.
Too young, and Annie can see that for all of her vitriol and fright, there’s something soft in her eyes when she looks at the creature.
Like she thinks he’s human. Like she thinks he could ever be human.
Like she loves him.
She ain’t gone kill the night creature. Not now.
Vampires and humans ain't supposed to be able to procreate but the Devil's a crafty, long-tailed serpent, best known for his tricks.
So, really, Sammie should've known it was too good to be true.
