That was until a grey troll stumbled into the café and threw a curveball at her. She'd never met anyone quite like him; sure she'd seen grey trolls before, but never one that didnt seem to have any emotions at all.

Across the ginormous river separated two tribes of pop Trolls:
One side was King Peppy's kingdom of Pop Village which was facing a predation problem along with an astonishing lack of technology.
The other tribe were the pop trolls of the south in Chart kingdom with their ruler King Creek.
Upon Creeks insistence of marrying poppy and leaving Peppy little to no choice but to agree for the sake of the rest of the pop trolls. Floyd the recently reinstated prince of Pop Village however has other ideas and decided to go to somewhere much more powerful; Mount Rageous to offer himself to marry their available monarch.

As Branch's story ends
We learn why Viva was worried for Branch, why she had the idea that Branch wasn't willing in being with Poppy.
Viva has a history she wasn't willing to admit, she would rather keep the idea the disappearances were foolish mistakes, and Clay would always be by her side to make sure the Putt Putt trolls new and old would never suffer.
We learn why Clay is quick to offer Branch and Tresillo a place in Putt Putt village, why he would stand with his Uccellino and mate over his older brothers, why he doesn't tolerate Alpha's forcing their will over omegas.
He understood why Tresillo call Branch his mate, and why Branch begged him to get Tresillo to forget him. His heart broke for them, and why he made it his personal mission to get them back together.

EDIT (Sept, 2nd 2024, 12:04am CDT - UTC -5); Just to clarify, the “graphic abuse” here is PG enough to be the ACTUAL fourth movie in the Trolls movie franchise. It’s so mild that I was struggling with how to tag it.
In the shadowy corridors of Mount Rageous Women’s Prison For Runts; MRWPFR (also know as the ‘Mr. Woopfer’), Floyd and Crimp navigate through a mess of tension and fear.
As they step into the visitation room, they find Veneer alone, his eyes darting to the clock with a nervous rhythm.
The absence of Velvet, combined with the palpable anxiety in Veneer’s demeanor, hints at something too dangerous to speak aloud.
Especially if the constant hovering of the male CO’s was anything to go by.
Under the scrutinizing gaze of the prisons guards, they exchange forced smiles and hollow reassurances.
Floyd can sense the… wrongness he picks up on, it’s turning up his hair roots. Crimp unease dwells deep into her soul, if her coloring switching to ‘full on camouflage mode’ was anything to go by.
Floyd and Crimp both feel the weight of unspoken truths lingering, hinting at a deeper darkness within the cold and sterile walls, floating through the air; something isn’t right.

Poppy and Branch drinking and getting high in the living room of the royal pod while king Peppy and queen Serenity (Poppy’s mom) argue over Poppy being crowned in the other room.
It’s the same situation just written from each of their perspectives.
Basically this is the “beginning” of a series of works I’m going to be doing about this AU I’ve been building up in my head for about 2-3 months now.
Do be warned this AU is pretty dark and involved heavy topics like alcoholism/drug addictions/abandonment/self harm/suicide/suicide attempts/eating disorders/severe mental issues such as schizophrenia, OCD, depression, etc.
But yeah, all this to say don’t read if you can’t handle it because I’m not planning on skimping on to many of the details
