"You've grown," is the first thing out of Vermouth's mouth when she lays eyes on KID. He stands atop the emergency fire exit, upon which she also sits, cape flying in the wind as he glows with the moonlight, all but highlighting the truth of her words. The last time she had seen Kaito, to be fair, he had only been about hip height, with unsteady feet and bug-like eyes. The Kaito -Kaitou- before her was none of those things.
"Neechan," KID replies back with a grin but very little warmth. He's grown in that department then too; she's almost proud. "Or, Meitantei-kun said it's Vermouth these days, didn't he?"
Or: Kaito met Sharon Vineyard a decade ago when she was teaching under Toichi. Now, they meet again as Kaitou Kid and Vermouth.

He’s good like that, watches out for Johnny and he sure does appreciate it. Because Dallas Winston is at the top of the food chain; strong, hard-hitting, and, most importantly, smart. Not always rational, but smart, he puts things together quick and is even faster with a punch.
But even with that rationale, his nerves aren’t soothed. They’re never soothed, and Dally has made him nervous for a whole host of different reasons for a long time now.
