Pain is one of the strongest forms of human connection. A person who cannot feel pain can not connect to those around them. DRAMAtical murder (DMMD) is a visual novel from the 2010s following the story of Aoba. Noiz, one of Aoba's love interests, can not feel pain. Noiz’s entire route is about the search for connection when there were always barriers, physically and mentally stopping him from truly understanding the people around him.

Много лет назад, а именно десять, я написала свой первый фанфик по этому пейрингу. И он так и назывался "с чистого листа". Окей, это очень сильно переделанная версия, все-таки прошло аж десять лет, я стала старой и мягкой женщиной, которая любит писать про обнимашки, а не про бондаж с крысами в заброшке (там была и такая сцена)

After escaping his parents' abuse five years ago, Noiz is back to Germany. Encouraged by his friend Mizuki and his brother Theo, he decided to face the unresolved issues he'd left behind in his country and became his brother's right-hand man at their family's company. One day, after leaving his office, Noiz is reminded of a bittersweet memory of a distant past, in the form of a white rabbit. He didn't expect it would bring him the sweetest person he would ever meet. A story about facing one's hurdles and falling in love, slowly and hopelessly.
OR, the AU wherein Aoba and Noiz meet in Germany: Noiz is a stubborn, stone-faced businessman who loves rabbits but was never able to touch one, and Aoba is the cute, mysterious guy who works part-time in a pet store. There's no Rhyme, no Platinum Jail, and Noiz never had his pain condition. Loosely inspired (heavily) by Harapeko Usagi to Koisuru Ookami, by Kanda Neko (mostly the first chapter because I'm shameless, the rest went out a LOT differently).
